We had our wedding at Hamilton Loft this summer and it was absolutely perfect. Steve was calm, cool, collected and helpful every single step of the way - a true joy to work with and a delightful person.
The venue created a whole vibe for our wedding that was just extraordinary - and we still hear about from guests to this day. It was twinkly, cool, beautiful chic and the flow of guests and experience was unlike any event I've ever attended.
Hamilton Loft also took care of the bar package and bartenders. That whole aspect of our wedding was also outstanding - delicious cocktails, an amazing selection and awesome service.
We could NOT be more pleased with our wedding and planning experience top to bottom.

Best venue in Brooklyn
We had our wedding with 130 guests at Hamilton Loft and couldn’t have been happier with the venue. The space is beautiful and worked perfectly throughout the day. We got lucky with the weather and it was great to have the outdoor space.
Steve is as good as they come. He truly did everything he could to ensure we had the best day possible, from helping us with vendors to cranking out espressos for the espresso martinis on the morning of our wedding because, and I quote “we don’t use that fake shit”.
They have a great collection of furniture and accessories you’re able to use and had invested a ton in the space since we booked adding lighting, furniture and plants which we’d have otherwise had to rent.
The bar selection was fantastic and the bar team Steve brought in were equally great and crushed it all night.
Not planning on having a second wedding but if I had to, it would be at Hamilton Loft. -

We truly can’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else. It was exactly what we imagined it would be. Not to mention our guests have been raving about it since - from the venue itself, being able to float between the indoors and the courtyard, the staff, the beautiful side bar room. I think my dad has a man-crush on the manager Steve (for good reason).
Working with Steve at Hamilton Loft was one of the best parts of our wedding planning process. Steve and his team are so thoughtful, flexible, and honest during planning. Frankly, working with Steve was one of the only parts of the planning process that wasn’t stressful because of how professional and experienced he is. You can tell how much pride their team has in creating thoughtful, tailored, and special experiences for every single event they have. Steve’s team entertained many of our specific requests regarding the bar package and event layout, considered a few crazy ideas we had, allowed us to conduct multiple planning walkthroughs, and supported us every step of the way.
Something I think is worth mentioning is how many improvements to the venue they made in the year from when we signed the contract to our Wedding Day… almost a different venue entirely! They added so much greenery, an outdoor pergola, fresh paint, and more. It goes to show how much pride they have in creating the best possible venue for whatever event people want to plan. We’d recommend Hamilton Loft to anyone looking to plan a truly memorable event! -

My husband and I got married at Hamilton Loft last month and could not recommend it more. Steve, Enzo, and the whole team went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure that our wedding was everything we envisioned. The space is a great size and easily fit our wedding that was around 100 guests. The entire staff was so friendly and kind. The space is very customizable for a variety of floor plans, and configurations and the outdoor area adds so much to the guest experience. Could not have been happier that we went with Hamilton Loft for our wedding! -

Best decision I made for wedding venue
The best decision I made for my wedding was to choose Hamilton Loft as the venue! Steve at Hamilton Loft is so helpful and so communicative. The venue was going through some upgrades this year, and all the upgrades were just gorgeous. Both suites for the marrying couple are very spacious and beautiful, the main room for the ceremony and reception is honestly one of the most gorgeous things you'll ever see. The bar package is included with the venue, and the drinks were top notch! Highly highly highly recommend! -

May 2025 wedding at Hamilton Loft
My wife and I had our wedding at Hamilton Loft (formerly Shell's Loft Red Hook) in early May 2025, and the venue and staff exceeded all expectations. While in a non-descript location, the venue really turned out to be perfect, both visually and functionally. We had just over 200 guests in attendance, and we were able to make the best use of the indoor/outdoor space, the dance floor, bar and lounge space, etc. The multiple rooms and areas made it helpful for moving traffic and keeping the flow of the night going. Furthermore, the venue upgrades that Steve and Hamilton Loft made between when we booked the venue and the day of our wedding, all contributed to the guest experience and charm/comfort of the space (e.g., newly installed bistro lighting indoors and outdoors, ivy along the perimeter fence, new pergola, upgraded lounge furniture, etc.). From the billboards to the exposed bricks and white-washed walls, there is a "Brooklyn meets Cape Cod vibes"...making it both cool and classy.
The entire team at Hamilton's Loft, led by Steve, was highly professional and impressive. We especially appreciated that Hamilton Loft, as opposed to many other venues, provided much of our needs in-house, including tables and chairs, lounge furniture, plants, lighting, floor plan design, and more, saving us money and hassle. As for outside vendors, we worked with Italiana Foods to cater a floating-style dinner (utilizing their cute novelty pizza truck for appetizers and late-night), DJ Ben Goldfarb for the playlist (he's incredibly easy-going and collaborative), Buds of Brooklyn for floral (arrangements were simple and beautiful), and Kristyn Miller for her gorgeous photography. Special kudos goes to Phoebe, their in-house coordinator, who was super professional and knowledgeable.
Overall, working with Hamilton loft was very easy. The team is incredibly responsive and flexible, matching our vision for the night. We wouldn't have changed a thing…it was a beautiful venue and wedding, and an epic party! -

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Hamilton Loft in February and truly cannot overstate how perfect this venue is. The venue itself is gorgeous. The in house plants and furniture made it feel lush and cozy with very little additional decor needed. The venue was the perfect size for our 80 guests with plenty of space for our cocktail area in the side room and our dining tables and dance floor in the main room, while still feeling intimate. The two dressing rooms in the back were perfect for us to get ready with our wedding parties - lots of mirrors, natural light, and comfy sofas, and Steve was generous enough to come through with drinks for us as we were getting ready!
The in house bar package is great and the day-of staff did an incredible job - the drinks were delicious and there was never a line. We heard nothing but glowing praise about the venue and team from our guests.
Steve and his team were a joy to work throughout the whole planning process and on the day. Steve has the best energy! They brought our vision to life in a beautiful way and were clearly focused on delivering a world-class experience. Even in the time between us signing the venue and our wedding day, they continued to invest in the venue so it was even more beautiful than we had hoped.
100/10, highly highly recommend Hamilton loft! -

Shell's Loft Red Hook was exactly the versatile space we needed to bring our creative Brooklyn wedding vision to life, and Steve and his team made the entire experience exceptional. The industrial-chic venue served as the perfect blank canvas for all our personal touches (from our popup bodega to neighborhood-themed tables), and Steve worked seamlessly with Brittany, Molly, and the rest of our Modern Rebel team to help execute every detail. The bar staff was incredibly efficient, and Steve's flexibility, organization and attentive approach made coordinating our special day feel effortless. Having a venue host who not only understands your creative vision but actively helps you achieve it while keeping everything running smoothly is invaluable—Steve and Shell's Loft delivered on all fronts. If you're looking for a space where you can truly make your celebration your own, with a supportive team that knows how to bring it all together perfectly, this is your spot. Shells Loft was PERFECT
Shell’s Loft Red Hook was truly the best spot for our wedding. Steve, was incredible. He was responsive, creative, flexible, and so thoughtful. The space itself was incredible. It’s so beautiful and there’s so much you can do if you want to, and at the same time, if you want a simple canvas, it’s beautiful enough as well to leave it as is. The bar service was amazing! Our friends could not stop raving about the drinks. We are so grateful for Steve and Shell’s Loft. -

Was hoping to get professional photos before leaving this review, but guest photos will suffice and I'll come back later with more. Shell's Loft was the perfect spot for our wedding and everything came together there so well with minimal stress!
Steve and the entire Shell's Loft team responded to every phone call and email quickly, they were extremely flexible with our schedule, getting into the space, accommodating the deliveries and vendors, and went way above and beyond to help make the day come together. They were able to flex a little bit with the bar package so I could get one of my favorite cocktails on the menu, were happy to help us out with furniture, and at one point when we were dealing with an electrical issue (with our equipment, not there's) they even brought in an electrician to help us resolve it at the last minute!
They have a roster of experienced vendors that we tapped into for lighting and music who knew the space well, worked quickly, and delivered an incredible experience to the guests. The sun came in through the skylights and large windows during the ceremony and when the sun went down and the lighting came on, the space absolutely came alive for the party. The pictures are great, but even they don't do it justice.
Steve knows the area well and was helpful advising on parking, afterparty spots, had great ideas for food and dessert options, and was an all around enthusiastic collaborator. I could ramble about this further, but suffice to say, they do an exceptional job at being responsive and flexible, and they brainstormed and collaborated with us on ideas for the event and were happy to help us with solutions and access to vendors and experts.
When we get the professional photos back from the event I'll come update this review with more. -

One of the biggest reasons we went with Shell's Loft in Red Hook was because of Steve, the event manager. Steve's calm attitude helped reduce the stress of wedding planning and made us feel like we were in good hands. Additionally, the venue came with great vendor recommendations - 3 out of the 4 vendors we booked were from the list provided! Amazingly, we were able to put everything together for 100 guests below our budget. On the day of the wedding, the space absolutely delivered. The fixtures, ranging from natural wood to exposed brick, provided a touch that'd be hard to come by elsewhere. We also were able to easily transform the venue into the aesthetic we wanted, and all the natural light allowed for such great photos. To top it all off, the bar service that Steve and team provided was awesome. All of our guests had a phenomenal time and it was an unforgettable day for us! -

Shell's Loft was worth every penny. We loved the space for its coziness, natural lighting, exposed brick wall, greenery, and the stylish in-house furniture (with additional pieces available for rent). We visited many venues, but Shell's Loft stood out not just for its beautiful interior and huge parking lot (we used it for food trucks!), but also because of Steve's incredible energy. Steve was amazing to work with on the most important day of our lives—kind, understanding, responsible, and an all-around great guy. I highly recommend this venue to anyone! 11/10 -

I had a vision for a white, industrial chic loft space for my wedding and when I walked into Shell's Loft I knew we had found the perfect space. It has beautiful exposed brick and light and airy feel. Steve from Hamilton BK was awesome to work with and was super accommodating. It was the perfect place to have our perfect day :) -

Shells loft came through in a pinch for us. Our original venue closed down and when I say things happen for a reason, the reason was so we would have our wedding at Shells loft. It’s a beautiful blank slate which gave us the opportunity to decorate the way we wanted and make our wedding feel like ours. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and all the staff went above and beyond for us. Would 100% recommend this venue and if I had to do it again would have it here -

We got married at Shell's Loft in September of 2022 and it was the perfect venue for our wedding. We loved the indoor/outdoor space and used the outdoor parking lot for food trucks and lounge area that our guests loved. Steve and his team were so nice and accommodating, helping us pick out a bar package and Steve was even able to get a case of gluten-free beer for my husband. Our signature cocktails were delicious, the Aperol Spritz was especially a hit! Would highly recommend The Hamilton BK for your wedding!
