Melissa and her team did hair and make up for my son and daughter in laws wedding last weekend on the beautiful Catalina Island, last weekend!
During our make up trial I told
Melissa I wanted a very natural look and she absolutely “got me”! Melissa is truly artistic and this shines through in her work!
I was so impressed by Melissa’s team ! They were so professional and accommodating!

I decided to hire Melissa to do my wedding after she did my bridesmaid makeup at a friend’s wedding. She is THAT good people! At both events, the makeup was flawless and done with care. She really listens to what you are looking for and makes sure it will last all day, through tears, dancing, and heat. Her attention to detail is on another level. She gives everyone their own makeup pouf for touchups AND she hand cleans every.single.brush. Each person gets a new set. Thank you for being sanitary!
To top it all off, she is just a calm and comforting presence on what might otherwise be a stressful day for some. She’s great with moms too. Hire her for your next special event! -

Melissa and her team did the makeup for my now sister-in-law's wedding party. The team was professional and kind, and kept the vibe really positive and laidback. There were a lot of bridesmaids and family in the wedding party, and the team kept on schedule without any issues (at least none that I knew of!). My sister-in-law's hair and makeup turned out absolutely stunning, and everyone looked and felt great! -

Melissa is the best! If you are looking for someone who is professional, experienced, and immensely talented, don’t make the mistake of hiring someone else. Not only will she make you look amazing but she’s got a wonderful calm energy which is so important on your special day! She pays attention to every detail, even beyond your face and hair- like shimmer lotion for my arms if I’m sleeveless- it’s stuff like this that makes a difference. I won’t let anyone else do my makeup, and you shouldn’t either! -

Things I love about Melissa:
- She really listens to her clients and their vision! Every conversation we had, I felt understood and like I was her top priority!
- Her professionalism is the gold standard. With many moving parts to an event day, she is able to go with the flow and adapt while also keeping the high standards of her services!
- She is just SO COOL! Seriously! Sitting in a hair and makeup chair for hours can be daunting and intimidating. She makes you feel comfortable though every step and is an absolute delight to chat with! With Melissa, you go into a hair & makeup chair with "a vendor", and leave the chair with a new Bestie!

Melissa Bedi is an exceptional talent when it comes to anything makeup/hair/fashion. Further, she is incredibly professional, thoughtful and detail oriented. I was lucky enough to have her do my hair and makeup for my wedding day. She really spent the time going over my vision, concerns and desires for my special day. As a result, everything was executed flawlessly and I could not have been happier with her work. She also stayed with me throughout the day/evening to do touchups and make sure I was feeling confident for the entirety of the event. Beautiful Work, Phenomenal Energy, and True Artistry - She Listens to Her Clients!!
Melissa is everything I dream of as a hair and makeup guru and member of the wedding tribe.
She brings a calm elegance, exquisite artistic talent, and a burst of enthusiasm and sweetness on your big day (and the trial!).
She takes her time with you, to know your desires. If you’re not sure, she’ll play with your look until you feel like a goddess.
I have used Melissa for many projects, and she never ceases to amaze me with her ability to structure and sculpt hair into any style she can fathom, and her ability to make your makeup elevate your beauty to perfection without looking like a Kardashian (unless you want that!).
I always have her do glamorous looks and I’m always impressed by how no two looks are quite the same, but just as beautiful and impressive as the next.
Hiring her for my best friends wedding (to do myself and the bride - she brought a crew for other bridesmaids) was such a special experience.
We were treated like QUEENS!
And looked uniquely like ourselves, representing our tastes in makeup. My bestie looked like such a breathtaking beauty without looking overly done up. Her hair was something out of a Hollywood movie! Just perfection!

I was recommended Melissa through my wedding planner. We had a wedding planned for the Casino on Catalina, with an old-hollywood theme, and wanted someone who understood I wanted to look like myself but elevated -- not necessarily a standard 'wedding' look. The hitch: I was having a baby a few months before the wedding, and my mom wasn't doing well. Melissa was able to be flexible and do a trial makeup after the baby was born so my mom could also have a trial makeover (a moment of pampering that she needed and deserved)-- now cherished memory from my mom's final months. If you're getting ahead of me, yes, the wedding would eventually be postponed due to the loss of my mom. Melissa kindly rolled with the punches and rescheduled with us, and when the day finally came, she made me feel like a 1920s starlet... and her team did wonders on my bridal party as well.
Melissa was super-communicative and adjusted things as I requested them both at the trial, and for the wedding day -- and the makeup/hair held up beautifully through the event. Highly highly recommend her for any HMU needs-- especially if you're looking for something uniquely YOU.

Exceptional wedding hair and makeup
Melissa is one of the kindest people I’ve met. This carried over into her professionalism and communication; both were excellent. She did my makeup and hair for my wedding and it was really stunning. She asked for photos ahead of time of looks that I liked so that she could plan ahead, and she knew what makeup style would look good on camera for the wedding photos. And she nailed it. She was a joy to work with!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the hair and makeup services I had for my wedding! Melissa is the best!!! From start to finish, the entire experience was absolutely flawless.
First, the trial session was such a key part of the process. Melissa took the time to really understand my vision and what I was hoping for on my big day. She listened patiently to my ideas and gave thoughtful suggestions based on my face shape, hair type, and personal style. She made sure I felt comfortable and confident, trying out a few different looks until we found the perfect one. I left the trial feeling so excited and reassured that I was in great hands. I went to my 2nd dress fitting and it was so great so see it call come together.
On the day of the wedding, I was blown away by how smoothly everything went. The team arrived early, prepared, and ready to work their magic. They created a relaxed and fun atmosphere while making sure everything was timed perfectly to keep the morning stress-free. My hair and makeup lasted all day — through the ceremony, the reception, and even a bit of dancing.
I received so many compliments on my look, and I truly felt like the best version of myself. I can’t recommend Melissa enough — she truly helped make my wedding day even more special! -

I cannot say enough good things about Melissa! Truly so grateful to have met her. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding day, and I have literally never looked better. She brought out my best features in such a natural and seamless way, I looked like the absolute best version of myself. I’ve always avoided getting my makeup done for special occasions because so many makeup artists have made me look cakey and not like myself at all, so I opted out and just did my makeup myself. Mel was a godsend and she’s the only person I trust fully. Not to mention her gentle and loving energy that makes me feel so safe and seen. She really listens to what you want and doesn’t stop until she makes sure you’re happy. I’m grateful that we now continue to be in touch for my hair cuts and styles as well as makeup for important events, and I’ve sent all my friends to her, everyone loves her. One of my favorite things is how safe she makes everyone feel, coming from friends who sometimes have a hard time expressing themselves for fear of “inconveniencing” others. Thank you Mel!! Melissa and her team were EXCELLENT. I found Melissa on The Knot, and honestly chose her because 1) she was the quickest to respond and 2) I took a look at her work on Instagram and her portfolio is incredible. As we got to know her leading up to our big day, we also discovered she is such a warm and kind individual -- which, when choosing a vendor, is JUST as important as talent, IMO. She's punctual, communicative, and very versatile and open to feedback when it comes to different styles to try out. I 10000% recommend Melissa and her team! The best of the best! -
