Hailey and Joel photographed our August wedding and were fantastic from start to finish. Before the wedding day, they maintained strong communication, asked detailed questions (some that I had never even thought of), had a calming presence, and were just really kind people. They made us feel relaxed in front of the camera for portraits and while getting ready. During the ceremony and beyond, they almost nearly disappeared and let the events flow naturally and unposed (our request). When we got our gallery back, we realized they were absolutely EVERYWHERE. Their photos completely captured the joy of the day from every angle. We are completely overwhelmed by the quality (and quantity!) of the photos they provided for us. Each time we look through the gallery, we seem to find a new favorite. We could not recommend these two more, especially for something as important as wedding photos. Put your trust in them! -

Amazing team with exceptional skills
Hailey and Joel were just amazing. I don’t think our wedding could have been captured more perfectly. They helped us with the timeline to make sure everything goes smoothly and it did! We just got our photos and we love them so much. They also got along so well with our videographers, it worked out perfectly. If you want someone to capture your special day candidly but also perfectly, Hailey and Joel should be your first choice. Highly recommend!

Hailey & Joel did such a wonderful job with our wedding photos, and we could not recommend them enough! From our first communication, they were helpful and organized. They really took the time to understand what was important to us. On the day of our wedding, we had so much fun wandering around Portland taking photos with them. Their unique style perfectly captured every moment of our day, and we’re so happy we have such awesome pictures to look back at. We definitely recommend working with Hailey & Joel! -

Hailey and Joel were amazing! We are so lucky we found them and they were available. They were incredibly kind and awesome. My husband and I were not naturals at the whole photoshoot thing, but Hailey and Joel helped us so much! They gave us so many photos, it felt like we were reliving the day! They even stayed an extra hour when we asked so we could get more photos from the night. I cannot say enough kind words about them! -

We cannot say enough excellent things about Hailey and Joel! Communication with Hailey was smooth throughout the entire process and she was also there with helpful suggestions for other vendors. They were very easy to work with and took any obstacles that were thrown their way on the day in stride. They worked so well with our other vendors, including our videographer. They just made the whole process feel incredibly easy. Not to mention, their work is absolutely stunning! We would highly suggest hiring Hailey and Joel!! -

Exceeded all expectations!
Hailey & Joel are nothing short of incredible. They photographed our engagement shoot in Portland, ME, and our micro-wedding in our backyard in Massachusetts. Both sets of photos are stunning. Hiring them was one of the single best decisions that we made in planning our wedding. They focus on candid shots, and it was amazing to see how they captured the joy, happiness, and energy of our wedding day. When I look at the photos, I feel transported back to those moments. I feel grateful to have our wedding documented so beautifully and authentically. We also had many set family photos taken (as this was important to our parents), and it was the smoothest, most efficient process I could have imagined.
Throughout the entire process, Hailey & Joel were a pleasure to work with. For our engagement shoot, they helped us pick locations and feel comfortable in front of the camera. Hailey is excellent at cueing, which made the photos feel natural and not at all forced. When our original wedding plans shifted due to COVID, they were incredibly flexible and communicative as we navigated CDC and state regulations. We were thrilled when they could travel down to Massachusetts for our micro-wedding, because we knew our day would not be the same without them. Hailey & Joel are also genuinely awesome people. My husband and I talk about how we wish we could have hung out with them more.
If you are looking for a wedding photographer, Hailey & Joel will exceed your expectations. We worked with a great group of wedding vendors, but they topped the list. We are so thankful we hired them and cannot recommend them enough. -

We found Hailey and Joel online and really liked their portfolio. We knew we wanted a focus on candid shots and they seemed to shine in that area, so we made an appointment with Hailey for an engagement photoshoot as a test run. Despite meeting up on a *bitterly* cold day, we had a great time with her. We LOVED the pictures she took of us, so we went ahead and hired Hailey and Joel to photograph our wedding, and a day-after wedding shoot.
They were absolutely wonderful to work with. My husband and I are both very awkward in front of a camera, but they were so encouraging when we were posing and so *sneaky* when taking candids. They seemed to be everywhere all at once without ever being in the way, capturing all kinds of sweet little moments. They were extremely professional, responsive, receptive to our ideas, and just pleasant and enthusiastic people who we enjoyed having around.
I would absolutely recommend them, and would gladly work with them again. -

Caitlin Sent on 03/28/2018If you're still looking for a photographer....stop. Reach out to Hailey and Joel, they are the ones—absolutely amazing to work with!! We got married in October of last year, and had booked Hailey & Joel about a year and a half earlier (early spring 2016). From the very beginning, Hailey & Joel exceeded our expectations at every turn.
They were highly communicative and responsive—answering every question knowledgeably, from both professional and personal opinion. For example, when we first got engaged, we didn't know if we wanted to do a first look or not, so we asked. We received a very insightful answer with pros and cons for both options based on their history of working with countless couples, and their personal account from their own wedding (we ended up going with a first look and I'm thrilled with the decision).
Hailey & Joel helped out when we had questions on other potential vendors, were willing to drive quite a bit out of the way for our engagement shoot (which I also highly recommend doing), and were more than timely when it came to invoicing and giving us plenty of notice before a payment was due (which was EXTREMELY helpful!). They were by and far the best vendor we worked with—and we had a pretty stacked team of professionals.
Hailey & Joel are both very personable and easy to talk to, which made the entire process that much easier. They put up with the fact that we could basically not stop laughing at each other and were able to capture incredible moments (even through all of the ridiculous faces). Additionally, last minute, we decided we needed a few extra hours to really capture the day and it was not an issue. They were flexible and accommodating in making sure we had the day we wanted. I would not hesitate in booking them again for any other photography needs, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the perfect way to capture a day that goes by faster than the blink of an eye. -

They managed to capture moments I didn’t even realize were “big” moments ha ha. They were so beyond affordable compared to other photographers and their work was flawless. -

Laura Sent on 02/22/2016We used Hailey for our engagement and wedding pictures! I can't say enough good things about Hailey! She was always so fast at getting back to me via email. This was one aspect of my wedding I didn't even worry about. Her pictures say it all. I got everything I wanted and more out of the two photo sessions. I highly recommend using Hailey for both, as you get to know her style from the engagement session and come time for the wedding it's a no brainer. Her husband Joel, was our 2nd shooter for the wedding and I am SO thankful we picked to have 2 shooters. Joel was able to spend time with my husband and his crew before hand while Hailey was with me and my crew. Having 2 shooters also gives you that extra eye. Our pictures are seriously more than I could have hoped for and if I had to do it again, I would pick Hailey hands down. Her price is VERY reasonable! We chose our package and paid for it way before the wedding came, which made it way easier on us as it was all said and done for. You'll be happy with this wedding purchase, I promise! -
Emily Sent on 04/02/2018We were lucky to work with Hailey and Joel for our July wedding in Vermont. A new and different scenery for Hailey and Joel. It was great having them capture all of our family and friends during our wedding day from the big moments to the quieter moments we will cherish. During the entire planning process, Hailey and Joel were very easy to work with and were helpful as we planned out the timeline of our day. We took a lot of comfort in the fact that Hailey and Joel had their own plan for the day and walked us through even the tiniest details of how they would capture the ceremony. From the moment Hailey arrived on the wedding day to start taking “getting ready” photos I felt at ease like another girlfriend had shown up for the day’s activities. When I sprung a kick boudoir shoot on Hailey before getting into my dress she was un-phased and was a true professional capturing some great photos. When we asked Hailey and Joel to venture through the hills of Vermont from our venue to our First Look with the classic Vermont vista, they were more than willing to drive a nervous bride to her awaiting groom and capturing some of our favorite photos from the day!
We are so grateful for all of the wonder photos Hailey and Joel got of our wedding! Our only regret is not spending more time with Hailey and Joel and doing an engagement shoot with them! Or even just hanging out for a cup of coffee! They are a great pair! -
