Gruene Event Center Reviews

We had our wedding ceremony at GEC on October 9, and it was beautiful! I want to start by saying that Courtney is the most incredible coordinator in the game, and she will make any event stress free and smooth. She’s highly responsive and flexible, and she had great suggestions throughout the entire process. She was patient and understanding while we were planning, and she never made us feel like we were crazy for asking a million questions. We had to change our date, so Courtney was *lucky* enough to deal with our craziness for over a year, and her kindness never wavered.

Other than having nothing but wonderful things to say about Courtney, the rest of the staff was wonderful on our wedding day. My husband and I were very impressed with their attentiveness. The day ran very smooth with no hiccups. The venue is beautiful, and our wedding was absolutely gorgeous. An added bonus was that the amazing staff cleaned up all of our decor and put it by the front doors afterwards for us to pick up the next morning. We had no worries after our wedding.

We highly recommend this venue for any and all couples that love New Braunfels and want a low stress wedding planning experience. This venue is basically all inclusive, and like I know I’ve mentioned, it comes with a pretty amazing day of coordinator. 11/10 would pick this venue over and over again!!!

Loved the way our wedding turned out here! Its such a beautiful place right in the center of a beautiful historic town. The workers here are extremely helpful and answered all my questions every step of the way. The restaurant next door is the caterer and the food is AMAZING! Each and every one of my guest still talk about the dinner (stuffed chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, and green beans). They also provided all of the glass dinnerware! I could not have imagined such a beautiful wedding and am so glad we decided to do it here! Also, this place is extremely affordable! The only downside i can think of here is there are no dressing rooms.

Our event wasn't a wedding. Our daughter fell completely in love with the venue. We celebrated her birthday here, quienceanera style. We down scaled a bit. And just because it was only her 16 birthday, We chose not to use the dish wear. And keep it simple yet classy. We created a menu and Jason did an amazing job! The night was spectacular and very memorable! For her wedding one day we will go all out and over the top and have it here again at the Gruene event center. Many thanks to everyone who helped that day we appreciate it and to Skye, who was amazing thank you so much!!! We look forward in planning another event here soon!!

Our daughter's wedding was 11 days ago and we all agree the Gruene Event Center was the best choice! The perfect venue to have both the wedding & reception, no losing guests driving to the reception.
The river below the deck, the beautiful lighting inside, amazing food, and all coordinated through a very professional manager, Skye! We enjoyed the experience and our wedding planner was very pleased with the response we received from everyone, from Skye to bartenders to wait staff. Our guests raved about the food!

I cannot say enough good things about The Gruene Event Center. I had my wedding ceremony and reception there and couldn't be happier. Everything was perfect and stress free on the day of my wedding.

The location of the venue is perfect, with plenty for out of town guests to see, eat and stay right in the heart of downtown Gruene. The back deck hangs over the beautiful Guadalupe river which made a perfect backdrop for my ceremony. The inside reception area is a wide open space that gave plenty of room for a dance floor, DJ or band, ample seating space and large decorations.

To me, the food was a big deal because I have been to many weddings where the food was mediocre at best and I wanted my wedding to stand out. I have guests that still, to this day, talk about how good the food was at my wedding. The food is prepared on site so it is fresh and restaurant quality. The service was also amazing and all wait staff were friendly and professional.

The staff were also very accommodating and helpful. Jason and Skye were awesome to work with and promptly answered all emails and silly questions that I had. They worked with me to get seating arrangements set up and coordinate vendors. They were willing to personalize my special day and make it one I wouldn't forget.

Skye and Jason were so helpful throughout the whole wedding process. They made it so easy for my mother and I to plan the wedding. I was able to stop in to see the venue and take measurements whenever I was in town. Very convenient and flexible. We were able to use the event center for our rehearsal the night before the wedding. All the tables and chairs were set up so I was able to make sure everything was correct. We were also able to get in the venue early morning to set up. We were able to use their speakers to play music during the ceremony even. I can't imagine getting married anywhere else.

Skye at Gruene Event Center was very helpful and easy to work with. She met with us several times to go over our menu and the facility set up. Our group was very impressed with the venue and the food that was catered by Gruene River Grill was absolutely delicious. We are planning on booking another party at this venue in the near future.
