Awesome high-energy dance wedding band!

We found Groove Place online and were drawn in by positive reviews, so going to reinforce that here. We reached out and got a quick response from the band leader, Dana. Dana was very friendly and poured alot of time and effort into getting to know our music taste, event details, logistics, announcements, etc. They learned multiple songs for us, including our first dance- which they did an incredible job covering. They have an extensive song list and let us pick our must haves, likes, don't likes, etc. Dana put together a great playlist that kept us all moving and out on the dance floor all night. The singers were high-energy, the instrumentalists were talented, and they even let some of our family members get up there and sing with them, it was a great time! Definitely recommend the full 10-piece set, the full horn section is worth it, especially if you have big dancers in your group. On top of all of it they were one of the more reasonably priced groups we talked to, so bonus points for that. Couldn't recommend them enough!

Greatest Wedding Band of All Time!!

Our wedding was back in 2022 and my husband and I were just talking about how great Groove Place was. The band was PHENOMENAL. Their talent and professionalism were just the beginning. We booked them last minute for our wedding because they happened to have a free weekend and it was the highlight of our wedding reception. I have had COUNTLESS people tell me that our wedding reception was one of the greatest weddings they’ve ever been too. The band jammed all night - have amazing talent and great, nonstop energy. A guest asked me if they were from New Orleans which is a huge compliment! So thankful that we hired Groove Place. It made our wedding even more special.

Also, everyone in the band was so kind, respectful and a joy to work with! Would ABSOLUTELY recommend them to any bride & groom or anyone hiring a band!

They kept us all dancing! Great mucisians!

Dana Camacho the band leader was very friendly and easy to talk to, and went out of his way to make sure that the music was right for the crowd. He took detailed notes so that everything went smoothly just like we wanted. The band has a repertoire of over 400 songs to choose from. So if you want, classic rock, disco, soul, funk, and some new tunes, everyone will be happy.. The musicians are very talented, and play well together, with great vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and a brass section fills out the songs. So when we were talking to him, I told him that we both love music and I played guitar. He said.: “ would you like to play with us?”. I said “ would I ever.!” I chose to play two songs “I want you to want me” and “ Uptown Funk” .We exchanged music and I got to practice with him once.. So when I (the groom) got up to play and sing it was a big crowd pleaser and great fun.

Hire this band

I can’t say enough good things about Groove Place. From the very beginning, they were incredibly responsive, accommodating, and easy to work with. During our pre-wedding meeting, we walked through every song on our list and curated the perfect setlist together, which gave us so much confidence in the band. They even offered to learn new songs for us and asked if we wanted anyone to join them on stage. We took them up on it, and our Maid of Honor played harmonica during Piano Man, it was a major highlight of the night!

Groove Place completely exceeded our expectations. From the horns leading our guests into the reception to a night full of jaw-dropping performances that kept the dance floor packed, they truly blew us and our guests away. And all of this came at a very fair price.

From the jump, we had an amazing experience with the Groove Place and Dana, it's leader. He was extremely responsive, organized, and accommodating to our setup, playlist, additional songs, and crazy dancefloor! Guests young and old raved about the band and our dancefloor was awesome. BEST Wedding Reception Ever!!

The Groove Place was amazing! Our guests could not stop raving about the music and our dance floor stayed packed all night. We wanted to have the Father of the Bride, Groom, and another friend join the band at different points throughout the night and they were all for it! My dad (FOB) had a few meetings with them to ensure his performance was as perfect as possible.

They truly go above and beyond to ensure that it is the most fun and perfect party.

Best Wedding Band in Philly

Groove Place brought the energy! While recapping the wedding with our friends and family, they ALWAYS say, "the band was AMAZING!" and we could tell from the first notes they played. Fantastic singing / playing, so much spirit, and extremely easy to work with. These guys are the BEST and I would 10/10 recommend them to anyone getting married.

Not only that, but I play guitar and Dana encouraged me to hop up on stage and sing a song with them. I got up there and it was one of the best parts of the night. It was so much fun playing/singing with the band in front of our closest friends and family and I have Dana to thank for the wonderful experience!

So if you're reading this review, stop, and go hire Groove Place for your wedding / event, they're the best!

Brought the Dance Floor to Life!

Amazing Band!

We were so thrilled to have Groove Place at our wedding. They were so much fun, professional, communicated great, and reasonable. Dana was responsive and helpful in assisting us with deciding our setlist and helped us decide on which songs would get people dancing more! The band even learned one of our songs for us! Groove Place exceeded all of my expectations and had all ages dancing from 4 years of age to 80. They even let my dad jump on stage and sing a song to the both of us, making it very memorable. I've been getting texts all week on how getting a band was the way to go and Groove Place will be what I recommend to anyone who wants have a good time at their wedding.

Groove Place is an excellent band for your event !

We have had Groove Place play for our 3 children's weddings. Their communication is always prompt, they have a huge song list and they sound great! At this last wedding 6/17/23, we had all ages dancing , from 4 to 80. Everyone always comments on how much fun they had and how good the band is. They will learn songs for you and we had my husband play a special song with them to make it even more memorable. We wouldn't choose anyone else!

The BEST wedding band

We were so thrilled to have Groove Place at our wedding. They were affordable, professional, and fun. Dana was responsive and helpful in assisting us with deciding our setlist. Danced the night away

Dana and his band was amazing. They kept the entire wedding up on the dance floor all night. We received so many comments from not only the wedding guests but the Elks members that could hear them on the lounge side. Prior to that Dana was amazing at helping plan our event and even gave advice on how to keep the flow of the party going. We had a few last minute changes with needing to move the wedding inside as well as changing out a groomsman. They were able to adapt on the spot. I cannot recommend the Groove Place enough!

Groove Place was fantastic

Working with Groove Place was a great experience from the very get go! Quick response from our inquiry, with clear choices of what we could have for our party and were easy to work with the whole time.... not to mention the most important part .... they are a fantastic band, great selection of music to choose from and sounded great. Hire this band

Honestly planning a wedding is one of the most stressful events you can go through. The two most important things you can have at a wedding to make it successfully (for the entertainment of your guests) is a good open bar and a bad ass band/DJ. Not knowing any DJs or Bands we were fortunate enough to book the best band on the market which is Groove Place LLC! This guys showed up with their game place and played the best tunes! We couldn’t be happier with the performance and coordination of this band! Dana did an amazing job meeting with us, as well as checking out the venue space (because we lived 4 hours away) to make sure everything was perfect. Our guests loved the band and will be talking about their performance for decades to come! They were truly the best and rocked the night away with amazing instrumentals and vocals to all our song requests! They even played Pepas by Farruko with their trumpet Player on the dance floor with our guest which was a special request by us. You will not find a better band on the market that is more accommodating or have the abilities of this amazing band! Weddings or events are stressful enough planning but having a amazing band coming up to perform and take the party to the next level is unreal expectation you should not over look! Thank you so much Dana and the rest of the member of Groove place!!! You guys ROCK!

Book them now!

We hired this band to perform at our wedding, and they delivered the absolute best possible performance we could have imagined!! They were super easy to work with, very responsive; especially the week leading up to the wedding (when you're most stressed). We asked them to learn several songs, which they not only did, but also played them so well, it was as if they were playing the tune for years. We recently got our wedding video back, and there wasn't a single song that our guests weren't on the dance floor. They have the absolute perfect mix of music to get folks of all ages up and out on the dance floor. Would absolutely book them again if we had to!!!!

Large band with horns - amazing!!

Don't hesitate to reach out to this band! They were fantastic all around and our wedding guests talk about how fabulous the band was daily. If you're looking for a party band with horns etc. etc. this is it! They are incredibly flexible on song choices (that was important to me when looking for a band, no one knows your guests music preferences like you will) along with options for music at the cocktail hour as well. Communication, band set up and tear down, along with all other details were seamless. Check them out!

Groove Place was a Highlight of our Wedding!

Groove Place played at our wedding with their full 10-piece horn band and absolutely brought the house down. The dance floor was full all night long, and after the wedding, many of our guests let us know that this was one of the best bands they had ever seen at a wedding. All of the musicians were incredibly talented, and it was easy to see that they have great chemistry with each other and their audience. Dana, the band leader, was a pleasure to work with; he had a meeting with us to understand exactly what we were looking for from the band, reviewed the (enormous!) song list with us, and even learned a new song for our first dance. I cannot recommend this band highly enough. If they are available for your date, do yourself and your guests a favor and book them!

Amazing!!!

We LOVE Groove place!! They were very enthusiastic and energetic. The nine piece band kept our friends and family dancing the entire night. Dana was very organized and so nice to work with. The band learned some new songs for us and killed it!!! The three piece jazz band at cocktail hour was a lovely touch. We have heard nothing but great things from our guests about the band and would highly recommend them to anyone!

Absolutely Incredible!!!

I first met Groove Place at my brother’s wedding over 6 years ago. They did such a fantastic job at my his wedding that family members would casually bring up how great they were in the following years. When I got engaged and my now husband told me that he wanted a band, we didn’t even bother looking around. Dana told me that since I last saw them, they have only gotten better. I seriously believe that that was an understatement. Once again, the dance floor was packed the entire evening. They did an incredible job at mixing in newer and older music so that everyone found something they liked. Our guests were raving about them on the way back to the hotel so they were once again a huge hit. Even with a postponement, Groove Place was so easy and fun to work with. We cannot thank them enough for making the night absolutely perfect!!!

Oh what a night with the Groove Place Band!

Groove Place Band was awesome! The musicians were very skilled and the singers voices were the best. Their 10 piece band filled the venue with their superb music made all our guests want to dance. All our guests remarked how great the band was and how much they enjoyed them. They also learned songs that we specifically requested and they performed them to perfection. Perfect band for our wedding!

After seeing how amazing Groove Place was for my sister's wedding, it was a no brainer to hire them. They were our first call after we booked the venue! They are so professional and responsive with emails. Any questions or changes I had were met with flexibility and genuine care to make our day the best. We had a mix of all age groups and EVERYONE was on the dance floor all night! From our first dance to the end of the night, everything was perfect. Guests are still contacting me weeks later to say how much they loved Groove Place!

10/10 Would do it again!

We hired Groove Place for our wedding in June 2020. Due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 we had to reschedule our celebration to June 2021. Dana, the band leader, was easy to work with throughout the process and we are so glad we decided to have our full reception (and a HUGE 1st anniversary celebration) in June 2021. Because we were unable to meet in person Dana kept in touch with us via text, email and Zoom meetings.

We knew having a horn band at our wedding was a non-negotiable. We interviewed several bands but once we saw Groove Place at a showcase we knew they were the band for us. We were impressed by Dana’s attention to detail and passion for the band. We could tell that each member of the band was dedicated to making our celebration memorable and went above and beyond to engage with our guests at the wedding. Several guests remarked that Groove Place was the best wedding band they’ve seen. They learned a few songs for us, including a special song for our father and daughter dance, and they welcomed Alex’s uncle to the stage to play alongside them. We had so much fun dancing to all of the music and even when the band took breaks they had an awesome pre-recorded playlist going and our guests were still dancing.

We are incredibly pleased we hired Groove Place for our wedding and have been actively watching their website in hopes of seeing them live again soon.

They brought the party!!!

Dana and the rest of the Groove Place crew,

You guys ROCKED IT!!! Thank you so much for bringing the party to life! We had an amazing time and everyone loved you guys! The 3 songs you learned were especially great. Clearly our crew is a big fan of Mr Brightside and it was a HUGE hit as our last song of the night, even with your new band member/our best man Freddy as your lead singer :) . I really loved when the saxophone player came out to the dance floor and played amongst all of the guests! My only advice to you would be to get more active on social media (Instagram/Facebook) and post lots of videos for future couples to see your talents! The dance floor was packed all night. Everyone said they were Amazing! Would hire Groove Place again and again!!

Groove Place is awesome!!!

These guys and gals were awesome! Groove Place is one of the best wedding bands my wife and I have heard and it was so great to have them be a part of our wedding. Our guests were dancing all night and all told us how much they enjoyed the wedding because of the music. Dana was awesome to deal with throughout the whole process. He was able to meet with us in person to go over a very wide range of songs that the band could play. They were also very willing to learn songs that we wanted to hear that were not on their list. Overall, I would highly recommend Groove Place to any couple who wants to have an awesome band be a part of their big day!

There are no words to describe what a FANTASTIC job Dana and the entire Groove Place Band did. From the moment we reached out to them and visited their showcase to the last dance of our wedding reception, they were an absolute pleasure to work with. Highlight of our reception!

Groove Place was the highlight of our reception! This band was great and learned all the songs we asked for. Dana (the band leader), was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. His easy-going attitude made it very comfortable to ask for changes or requests. The song selection process, organizing the timeline and set up was done flawlessly. And when it came time to play, these guys brought the house down. I am still receiving compliments on the band. At one point, we had a saxophone and a trumpet player playing out in the crowd. It was as interactive as we wanted it to be. Everyone had a great time. Thanks again Dana and band!

So much fun and awesome vocals

Overdue review since we were married in 2015 but Groove Place was our wedding band, but it may be more accurate to say "concert" - we had so much fun and our guests had so much fun. If you want a band where everyone will dance, they are your group. Our guests even started the "one more song" chant at the end because of how much fun we all were having.

Best choice of my whole wedding!

This band was the highlight of our reception. They were engaging, friendly, and SO TALENTED! People thought we spent at least $10,000 on this band- they were that good!

First, Dana is awesome to work with. Friendly, flexible, and so organized, He will make sure that everything is put together and you have nothing to worry about during the reception. He is awesome!

Next, the band SOUNDS AMAZING. Some relatives said they thought the band was taking a break and a CD was playing from the other room, only to come in and see that the music was live! The musicians come into the crowd and dance with your guests, the vocalists are phenomenal, and really the whole experience is above and beyond.

If you're just getting engaged, the first question you ask should not be "when is the venue available?" Instead, the first question you ask should be "when is Groove Place available?" It's really that big of a deal. They are so special.

The best band

Groove Place was the first thing my fiancé and I knew HAD to be part of our wedding. We first heard them almost four years ago at a friend’s wedding, and my fiancé never stopped talking about how much fun the wedding was. When it came time to plan our own wedding, we immediately booked Groove Place for our wedding, and it was a BLAST. They were organized, professional, and amazing performers. They were very easy to work with, and the band learned songs for our first dance and parents dances. It all sounded wonderful! We received so many positive compliments from our guests about how great and fun the band was, including my uncle who is also a musician and a very tough critic.

I would recommend Groove Place again and again! They made our wedding perfect!

So amazing!!!!!

The band was so great! They learned a new song for us and played it beautifully and our entrance songs and first dance were perfect. In the middle of our reception the fire alarms went off and we were evacuated for about 20 minutes, but the band made it fun for everyone and continued playing on the steps of our venue. They were even accommodating with playing an extra 20 minutes for everyone once we were allowed back inside. HIGHLY recommend this band! They were nothing short of amazing!

Wedding June 8th

I researched bands and DJs for my wedding for a while until I came across Groove Place. They sounded fantastic and Dana the band leader was quick to respond. We went to listen to them live and knew right away we wanted to book them for our wedding. They were very affordable for a 9 piece band with a horn section. And boy did they deliver! They were fantastic. Cocktail hour was a 3 piece jazz ensemble and then the full 9 afterwards. Everyone loved them! They are able to play a wide variety of music and get everybody on the dance floor. They learned mine and my dads dance and my dad who plays trumpet was even invited to play with them and had a blast! We danced all night and i cannot stress enough how fantastic they are. Great musicians. Great singers. Very professional. If you want a band for your wedding/event book these guys!

Amazing band

My husband and I booked Groove place band for our May wedding and it was beyond worth it!! The band leader Dana was awesome to work with in the months leading up to the big day and he made sure he understood what kind of music style we were looking for. They were awesome with working with our wedding venue and making sure everything aligned beautifully.

Groove place had our entire wedding up and dancing the entire reception. They played all of our favorite genres and really got a feel for the crowd and what people liked. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing our entire reception because Groove place had it handled. Great band and amazing singers. They are a must and awesome price!

The Groove Place Horn Band was amazing!!! Dana was the main person I talked to throughout my experience! He was easy going, fun and down to earth! Also, tbe band learned my wedding song too!! Look no further this band is an excellent choice! My wedding would have not been the same with out them! Everyone loved them! Guest said they were great and wanted to know where I found them! Talented band - great to work with!

Booking Groove Place was one of the best decisions that we could have made for our wedding. We are 2 weeks out from our wedding and we are still receiving compliments and positive feedback about how great the band was. Every person danced at our wedding and it due to the talents of Groove Place and also their knack for reading the crowd and playing the best songs. They learned our first dance song and the arrangement was perfect. The entire planning process with Groove Place was very easy, they were so nice to work with. We are so happy that we booked Groove Place!

Hi Dana and the rest Groove Place!
We can’t thank you guys enough for making our wedding day the perfect day of our lives! You guys killed it, every song was amazing, everyone we have talked too since our wedding has told us it was the best wedding they have ever attended, and the Groove Place was the best band they have ever seen play! We knew how great the band was going to be but you guys exceeded all of our expectations. All we wanted was our guests to dance all night and you guys did that for us! I know we didn’t stop dancing! The love train was awesome (and probably the most videoed of all dances), we are pretty sure the whole wedding was following us in the line. The whole night was incredible and perfect and the Groove Place is a huge reason why. The best part of it all, is you guys have been apart of two of our family’s wedding days which is pretty special. We are going to come see you guys play! Thanks again for making our wedding day perfect!

Groove Place was a absolute pleasure to work with and their performance totally made the reception! Dana was responsive and very helpful throughout the planning process. He was very open to new ideas and used his expertise to guide us when needed. Everyone was very impressed with the quality and range of their music. Having Groove Place Horn Band made my wedding exceptional. The band learned our wedding song and songs special to our families. The dance floor was full the entire night. That night and the next day everyone from the wedding continually asked “where did you find that band”. Everyone raved about them. Entertainment is so important at a wedding and i am so happy i choose Grove Place for my band! I can not say enough about them. I would go see them every weekend if i could!

This band blew it out of the park for my daughter's wedding at Skytop, PA. Everyone was dancing the entire night. It was a party that no DJ could provide. They were the talk of the guests that night and the weekend. I can't begin to tell you how many people came up to me and commented on how great they were. I had text messages the next day asking for the name of the band. My friends keep bringing up how unbelievable they were. Hearing the band in their home does not do it justice. Goove Place Dance Horn Band provided top-notch entertainment.. Dana was wonderful to deal with and he worked with my daughter and her fiance to learn songs that were important to them. They are the best!!!

They did a fantastic job!! It all turned out very beautiful and fun. Everyone had an awesome time. The sets were great and everyone loved the music. I think I missed a lot from having to do pictures and cake and all that other stuff, but when I was able to make it to the floor, I had a great time. The kids were loving it too! They danced around the sax player when he was playing on the dance floor. It was a really wonderful night!

Groove Place played at my sister's wedding 6 years ago and my family STILL talks about how it was the most they've ever danced at a wedding. So when it came time to book a band for my wedding, Groove Place was the only option! From our first meeting with Dana we knew we were in good hands - he is so friendly, funny, and really knows what he's doing. Even with my countless emails leading up to the wedding he happily responded to each one! He spent time really listening to us and offered great advice from timeline logistics to song recommendations. They know exactly how to keep the momentum going at a party!

Groove Place really goes above and beyond to make your day special and personal. My fiance surprised me by playing a beautiful piano song - Dana had been secretly working with him to make sure it was absolutely perfect! My wedding also happened to fall on the day of the Fiesta Bowl, so when Penn State won the band immediately played the fight song - everyone loved it! They learned a few songs for us and played them beautifully (including our bridal party entrance songs). Our first dance was to a Queen song and the band absolutely KILLED it!

The dance floor was full the entire night - guests who claimed they "don't dance" couldn't tear themselves away. Dana and the band really made us feel so special and made our wedding absolutely perfect. Thank you Groove Place!!

The Groove Place band is phenomenal! They learned our first dance song and played a mash-up for both our chereographed parent dances. Definitely a night we'll never forget
! If you're on the fence, book them! They are more than worth the price...save money on the flowers and little touches that no one will remember. Live music really steps up the atmosphere and was enjoyed by all our guests.

Dana was very helpful in managing our odd timing requests. The band did an incredible job on our song, which was a bit of an oddball (Ragged Wood by Fleet Foxes). They even learned a walk-in song for the bridal party as a gift to us! We cannot recommend this band enough. Solid all around.

Groove Place absolutely crushed it at our wedding. They played great sets and kept everyone on the dance floor all night! They were professional and kind, from the original open house they had to display their talents, to the personal meeting with Dana discussing our idea of good dance music and specialty songs! They learned our song for us, which is super obscure, and they did a beautiful job performing it. On top of it all, they were affordable, especially for a 10 piece horn band! I have to believe part of this is because you aren't going through an entertainment company, which also adds the personal touch. By the end of the night Groove Place felt like part of the family, we absolutely loved having them at our wedding!!!!

If there was a higher number than five groove place would be it in every category!! From the very beginning dana was amazing, we picked every song from start to finish and when I missed the very last song of the night they played it again for me! They really are the best of the best and I would recommend them 10 times again! If you're getting married and have groove place as your wedding band I highly suggest having love train played! The sax will lead it around your venue and truly get everyone involved. So special! And so so awesome my hats off to you guys ????????

Groove Place played at our daughter's recent wedding and had our guests dancing the entire night! They are a really tight dance band with a fantastic horn section, especially the sax player. We hired Groove Place to play our wedding in August, 2017, and they were FANTASTIC! We knew that after going to their showcase at Dana's house we were in for something great, but that is an understatement. We chose the 10 piece band. Dana was not only professional, but warm and inviting and was a pleasure to work with when planning the details of the wedding set list. He was accommodating, organized, and answered all of our questions without delay. On the night of, our guests couldn't stop talking about the band and how great they were. They loved the song selection and everyone was up and dancing. The two singers for the band were both excellent and had a really wide range which made for a varied performance and kept people of all ages up and dancing. I was always weary of reading these reviews on these wedding websites because either they're all glowing or filled with complaints, but let me tell you, I genuinely have no complaints about Groove Place! HIRE THEM!

We are so thrilled to have Groove Place perform at our wedding. Dana and the band were an absolute dream to work with from beginning to end. Dana was extremely helpful and positive throughout the whole process and even helped us surprise my dad at the end of our parent dance. Not only did the band sound incredible, but they kept our guests on the dance floor all night long! My guests said that they felt like they were at their own private concert. One guest even said that their feet hurt so much from dancing, but the band sounded so good that they didn't want to leave the dance floor. We are so so happy with our choice to hire Groove Place for our big day and we cannot reccommend them enough!!

This band is amazing! We hired the full ten piece band for our daughter's wedding and they were worth every penny. They kept our guests on the dance floor the whole night long with a great selections of songs. Everyone in the band was outstanding, from the vocalists to the horn section. Many of our guests said this was the best band they have ever heard. Dana was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Very kind, professional, enthusiastic, accommodating, and easy going. We can't recommend this band highly enough!

My husband and I got married this July during an extreme heat wave and Dana and his crew set up everything for the outside ceremony for us. We didn't have to worry about a thing! The band provided an awesome beat for my sister's surprise "rap"/ speech and they learned songs outside of their rep just for our reception. Everyone was up dancing all night and we received countless compliments on the energy of the band. A big thank you to Groove Place for their flexibility and composure on the big day!! We first heard Groove place at my brother's wedding in PA. My fiance at the time had wanted a DJ for our wedding. I on the other hand wanted a band. After he heard Groove place at my brother's wedding he was sold that we had to have a band. I was so ecstatic when they said they would travel from PA to NY to do our wedding. Everyone was on the dance floor! The sound and ambiance of the night from the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception was amazing. They truly made our wedding magical and we can not thank Groove place enough!

I think I speak for everyone when I say we were blown away by Groove Place performance! We knew you guys would be good, but I had no idea you would be that great! The love train with the horns going in the loft, and your solos right in the middle of the crowd was awesome. The songs you played could not have been picked better. The fact that you guys learned Radar love complete with the guitar and drum solos was icing on the cake that we will never forget. You really did make the night even more special for us and we truly appreciate it.

You were great to work with. We could tell from the start that you were the right choice and we never second guessed that. You put us at ease during the planning stages and totally blew the roof off the barn.

Groove Place Dance Horn Band did an amazing job for us at our wedding that took place at the Horticulture Center. in Fairmount Park. From their showcase, planning along the way, and finally to our wedding, they kept everything going smoothly and kept our guests on their feet! We would definitely recommend Dana and his band. Dana is very accommodating and his main focus to make sure everyone is engaged and having fun dancing the night away. Groove Place Dance and Horn Band learned new songs for our special dances that weren't on their playlist and performed them beautifully. They even were nice enough to end the night with an encore in tribute to my parents, that was a touching surprise and an excellent conclusion to a "Wonderful Night." Do yourself a favor and book them for your wedding! My wife and I are lifelong fans!

I knew Groove Place is a great band, because I heard them a year earlier at my cousin's wedding, but they exceeded every expectation I had. Dana was a pleasure to work with - very professional and detail-oriented, yet easygoing. They have an extensive, constantly-updating repertoire and plenty of old/new songs from which to choose a "must play" list, but they really know how to read and play to the crowd. They kept the dance floor packed all night long with guests from all generations. We are actually still getting compliments and rave reviews on the band from our guests! You will NOT be disappointed with Groove Place!

Groove Place was one of the first bands recommended to us for our wedding (they have already done several other family weddings), but of course, we did our research and checked out a few showcases. It didn't take us long to realize that the first choice was the best choice! Not only for the quality of music and entertainment, but also for the price! They were an incredible 10 piece band. We had a wedding of over 200 guests and everyone was having an absolute blast. Their catalog was extensive and covered a very wide range of styles (which was crucial considering the age range of our guests). I cannot recommend this band enough! Do yourself a favor an check out one of their showcases before booking with anyone else.

Groove Place was very responsive to our requests, even re-learning a song at our request, they had a diverse range of music and did a wonderful job interacting with the crowd and keeping everyone energized and having a great time. Even 5 months after our wedding we still hear about how much people loved the band at our wedding, in fact many people said they were the best wedding band they had ever experienced. They also preformed at our ceremony and did a great job, even in the rain. They were definitely worth every penny and we would suggest them to anyone looking for a great live band for their event.

If you are looking for a band that will keep your guests up dancing all night, entertainment that will have your guests singing along with the music, and musicians and vocalists who give 200 percent all night long, then look no further. The Groove Place has now played for two of our daughters' weddings and we have been thrilled with their performance both times. Again, and again, our guests told us how much they loved the band and the way the musicians connected with the audience, who continued to request encores even after the reception was over. The Groove Place ROCKED our wedding reception (and ceremony!) in Avalon, NJ! They got everyone on the dance floor with a mix of current songs and the oldies everyone loves! They did an amazing job, and everyone mentioned how much they LOVED the band! Thank you, Groove Place!!!

The first moment my family and I met Dana the coordinator and heard the bands set, we were hooked. The band learned 3 songs we requested in full and even played some special music for the groom & I, as well as our families to walk out to during introductions. Everyone raved about the variety of music played and even guests that weren't attending our wedding but we're staying at the hotel venue were out in the main lobby Dancing and singing along. We had a spectacular wedding and the band did a wonderful job making it a truly memorable experience. Thanks again Dana and the rest of the band for making it a night to never forget, my feet are still recovering from dancing the night away!

First and foremost, booking Groove Place was the best decision we made. We booked Groove Place without seeing them in advance or word of mouth, but based on their amazing reviews, great youtube demos, and really versatile song list. They were amazing at our wedding!
The band absolutely rocked and got everybody in the place dancing with gusto. I had several people come up to me and ask if the band would play in NY (for their wedding or son or daughter's wedding). A few people told me it was the best wedding band they've ever heard! Dana (the band leader) was very communicative, forthright and pleasant to deal with in planning the songs and order etc. He has a really nice disposition and I enjoyed working with him and never had to worry for a second about the reliability of the band. They absolutely rocked! I would unequivocally endorse them and recommend Groove Place!

We recently hired Groove Place for our wedding, and have nothing but great things to say. They upped the energy of the wedding crowd, and played both classic and modern hits. Both the male and female leads were excellent singers, and the horn players made the dance floor extra special. I highly recommend this band for your next event, and I would highly suggest booking all 10 pieces. The horns are worth it!

AMAZING! We booked Groove Place based on their reviews and videos. It was a leap of faith that paid off! From the very first correspondence with Dana we were extremely pleased and knew we made the right decision. His response time is like no other. His ability to get a feel for us and the atmosphere was top notch. The day of the wedding went perfect. They didn't miss a beat. I had no idea they even took a break! We have a large family, full of energy and they matched it. The dance floor was packed the entire night! our family favorite was Sweet Caroline. We do this at every family wedding... And there's been many. Everyone said this was the very best! My guess is neighbors for miles would say the same thing. All of the thank you's and goodnight's at the end of the night had mention of how unbelievable the band was. We are so incredibly grateful to have chosen Groove Place. Groove Place was amazing! As soon as we heard them play at their showcase, we knew we wanted them to play at our wedding - and we are so happy they did!! Everyone was on the dance floor all night. We are still getting compliments about how great our band was. They learned a special song for us for our first dance, and kept people happy the entire evening. Thank you for an amazing night, the band really turned our wedding reception into a party!

Groove Place provided an amazing, five-star experience for us and our friends and family. We saw them perform a showcase and were impressed by their sound. They are true musicians who excel in a broad range of musical styles. Dana is the guitarist and manager and he was very easy to work with. From discussing the contract to the details of our big day, he was friendly and professional. We met with him about a month before the wedding to discuss the type of music we wanted to hear, as well as the names of our wedding party and family. They delivered on everything we discussed. The show they put on at our reception was first class. The music was excellent and the whole performance was high energy. Jamie, the female lead singer, absolutely killed it on "If I Ain't Got You" for our first dance, in addition to everything else she sang. Bobby, the male lead singer and Master of Ceremony, has a great voice and excellent showmanship. He pronounced every name perfectly and kept our evening on schedule and entertaining. All of the musicians put on a great show, including sizzling solos on the horns, and a "Love Train" that virtually every guest joined and danced all through the venue. We cannot say enough about the quality and value Groove Place provided for us. We truly consider them friends for making our wedding so special. We will never forget them or that night!

Dana and his team were super accommodating and flexible, and the dance floor was packed the entire wedding. So many compliments on the band. Would (and already have) recommended to friends.

Groove Place Dance Band killed it. We had very high expectations after seeing them perform at a showcase; our expectations were completely and totally blown out of the water. From the beginning my father's main concern was booking a fun band, after the wedding and into the next day he could not stop talking about how he had booked the PERFECT wedding band.

My husband and I were waiting to be announced and we heard I Will Always Love You come on, he turned to me and said, “I love this song, I’m glad they put this on the iPod”. I had to remind him that it was actually the band playing. From that moment on I knew we were in for something special. And that’s a Whitney Houston song!

Groove Place Dance Band had the dance floor filled after the first song (usually it’s a struggle to get people to venture onto the dance floor) and packed until the final song. The evening flowed wonderfully and they always knew the right song to get the crowd moving. I honestly have never had more fun than the last 30 minutes of my wedding when the band was playing perfect crowd pleaser after perfect crowd pleaser.

We had our wedding at the Constitution Center, which is a large space, and Groove Place absolutely filled it. The horns sounded huge, both singers were beyond great, every single member of the band deserves a shout out because they pretty flawlessly covered a wide range of songs from The Beatles to Ke$ha.

The band also played dinner music during cocktail hour, which wonderfully set the mood.

Dana was great to work with; he was very accommodating of our time and schedules during the planning process. The whole process from booking the band through the end of the wedding was smooth sailing.

Overall, I could not recommend Groove Place Dance Band more highly, we will certainly be recommending them to all our engaged friends in the Philadelphia area (We want to see them play again!).

Wow. That is all that I can say and that is all the our wedding guests said.
Groove Place Dance Horn Band was phonemail in regards to sound, energy, ease to work with, and overall experience. I would, and have, recommended this band to my friends and family who live in the general area because they were that good. It is not an exaggeration to say that EVERY guest at our wedding had such wonderful and amazing things to say about how good the band and music was at our reception in Carlisle, PA.
The horn section set them apart from other bands we were looking to book for our wedding, and they did not disappoint - they were on point, sounded amazing, in harmony, and kept our entire wedding on the dance floor the whole night.
They were extremely accommodating to my wife and I, as, since we were in Carlisle and not able to meet with them face-to-face as they had requested, they Skyped with us for our interview to ensure that they got a feel for what we had in mind in regards to the music we wanted played at our wedding and it worked out perfectly. They mixed in new music, with amazing oldies, and classic staple wedding songs that made the reception one to remember and one not soon forgotten.
Groove Place was awesome!

We could not have been happier with Groove Place and the entertainment they provided on our wedding day! They were the single best decision we made while planning our wedding after hearing great reviews from another couple who used them. The dance floor was packed the entire night, the timing of everything worked out perfectly, and everyone had a blast! We can't tell you how many of our guests raved about the band and told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. They knew just what to play to keep the crowd dancing and the party going all night. They were also a pleasure to work with, so accommodating, flexible, responsive and enthusiastic. You would be lucky and very smart to have Groove Place play at your own event. We wish we could relive ours!!

Groove Place Band was absolutely amazing! We are still receiving compliments about them! The music they chose, the emceeing, the energy - all of it was fantastic! I saw people dancing that I never expected to dance. In my opinion having a live band at a wedding beats a DJ any day and Groove Place proved me right. They were amazing and the songs they covered sounded just like the real thing! My husband and I strongly suggest this band if you want your wedding to be a fun, fun time!

We don't even know where to begin! We could not have asked for a more incredible wedding band. Groove Place was seriously unbelievable and worth every penny. Dana and his band worked incredibly well with us. We were living in Cincinnati at the time of our wedding which was in PA and Dana kept in constant contact with us, having Skype calls with us to make sure everything was perfect.

Groove Place is able to play HUNDREDS of songs, and works so closely with you to make sure your wedding day is perfect.
There were seriously times when we thought the band was on break because the live version of the songs they play sound even better than the originals, they really are that good! We wanted a packed dance floor for our entire wedding, and Groove Place made sure that happened. We can't even begin to count the number of people that came up to us throughout the wedding raving about the band. Their song selection was great, the music they played while on break was great, overall everything was perfect!

What more can we say that hasn’t already been said about Dana and the band Groove Place? From the first conversation we had with Dana (he called the day after we filled in the online info request form) to our goodbyes after the event and follow-up emails, it was a real pleasure working together. Dana is a real people-person and he wants his clients to be happy. He does whatever he can to fulfill any and all wishes. We had a 5 hour reception and he worked with us to have different musical arrangements (piano and trumpet at ceremony, jazz trio at cocktail hour, and full 9 piece band for the final three hours) throughout the entire event. Unfortunately Jamie was unable to perform at our wedding because of a health issue, but Sheena filled in spectacularly for her. Jamie, we missed you (!), but Sheena, our guests never even knew you were not the regular lead vocalist! Thank you for your rendition of “You’re the Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me”. We loved it.

Our guests raved about the band all night and afterwards. We even had several male cousins on the dance floor and they said it was the highest compliment to the band because they never dance in public! We are so pleased that we chose Groove Place to make our party exactly what we wanted it to be.

As an aside that may matter to some people, ours was the first same-sex wedding for Groove Place and we could not have felt more love and respect from the band. They really care about their customers.

This band is AWESOME!!!!! I recommend them to anyone and everyone!! They play ALL types of music and always on key!! We had 140+ guests and everyone is still raving about the band a week later!! I will DEF. use them again for any entertainment needs!! GROOVE PLACE YOU ROCK!!!

We found Groove Place on WeddingWire, looked at the reviews, listened to the demos, and went to see them live at one of their showcases. We are very serious about music! The showcase was awesome. They crunched down a wedding reception into 40 minutes so we could hear snippets of all the different music they play, the way they make announcements, everything. They were awesome.

About a year went by until we heard them again at our wedding and they were BETTER THAN WE REMEMBER! Guest after guest came up to me to tell me how great the band was and how much fun the wedding was. They really made the night! The brass section makes all the difference. It really gets guest's attention and gets them on the dance floor! We could not have chosen a better band for our wedding day and we would refer them to anyone looking to book a band for a wedding or special event. The price was even better...this was the best price we could find for 5 hours of music! Best music, best value, best time!

Thank you Groove Place for making our wedding day so memorable and FUN!

Groove Place made our wedding extra special and memorable. Ever guest (and I mean ever single person!) was on the dance floor all night long. Dana was a pleasure to work with as he was super flexible and professional. He listened to the types of songs my husband and I wanted and created an amazing playlist. Groove Place knows how to get everyone on the dance floor and more importantly, their talents keep guests of all ages dancing. Over the July 4th weekend we hosted a large engagement party in Maryland for our wedding guest unable to make the trip to Colorado. Groove Place had recently brought the house down for my cousin's wedding last year, so I had to bring them back.

Dana made the whole process a breeze. Since we couldn't meet face-to-face, he Skyped with us to get to know each other and talked about how the party would go. He also set us up with a playlist that fit our audience perfectly.

Since I grew up on an old tobacco farm, we hosted the party in an old barn. Groove place showed up in western attire to fit our theme. Despite the rain, they got the party started fast with some great country tune and then rolled right into the dance music.

Everyone danced from the first song to the last. People were coming up to me and asking how they could book the band after three songs.

Since it was also the 4th of July, we shot off some fireworks and Groove Place, of course, played Katie Perry's "Firework" to tie it all together. Perfection.

I can't thank Groove Place enough for making our engagement party feel more like a wedding reception. We feel like they are part of the family now. Someone else will have to get married soon to have them back.

They blew the barn doors off the place. Now I just need to figure out how to get them to Colorado.

We got married on June 13th at the Merion and Groove Place was the best band every. They had everyone up an moving and all I heard all night was how great the band was. I am very happy we decided to go with Groove Place, they were really organized and had everything planned out perfectly. Thank you so much for everything. Highly recommended!!!! When you have a wedding there is always only person that goes above and beyond , and for us that person was Dana at groove place. I never write reviews but felt it was nessesary to leave feedback because it was truly that good. One example of what occurred : our venue had recently had a band that came in and played too loud to the point that the authorities were called. Our venue then told us 2 weeks before the wedding that we could not have a band, and when I told Dana this issue it was almost instantly resolved. This is not your typical boy band that will sit there and play so loud you cannot have a conversation, this is a band that you will be off your seat dancing the entire night. My now wife and I were almost disappointed by all the food we got because everyone was up dancing having a good time. One thing I remember is when the saxophone came out from behind the band and started a Congo line that went 100 people long ! This is a band for any.and all occasions as I feel they would make you event as special as they made ours . Thanks again Dana and all the members of GroovePlace, you rocked it and people are still talking about you to this day

Groove place hit it out of the park!!!! Friends and family are still calling and saying how much fun they had , because of the band!! We first heard Groove Place at a Wedding and knew we had to have them!! So we contacted Dana(head of the band) and started the planning process! He sits down with you and goes through every detail and all their songs. And they actually listen! They played every song we wanted to hear and were so awesome! The price for what you are getting can't be beat! I could gone on forever about how amazing Groove Place is, they truly made our wedding what it was! If you want a fun wedding , you have to have Groove Place!!!

Groove Place Band was one of the highlights of our reception. Dana, the band's manager, was a pleasure to work with every step of the way: responsive, timely, pleasant, and engaging. They read the crowd very well and are able to bring the attendees out of their seats. The volume was appropriate for all moments of the wedding; cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. All of the members were engaging, nice, and energetic, and they even came out onto the dance floor to dance and play their instruments. I could not have asked for a better wedding band, and I am a professional musician so my standards were high. Their prices are competitive, and they worth every cent. I love that after the wedding they sent a set list to know the order in which songs were performed. Thank you Groove Place Band!

The band was awesome. They have such a wide range of music, and are willing to learn more, within reason. To us, the music and the flowers were the most important. Honesty, the band was so great that we're nearly forgot about the flowers. Our guests are still talking about Groove Place. They rock!!!

I had always heard people say that the sign of a fun wedding was a packed dance floor! If this is the case our wedding was a blast. The dance floor was packed the whole night. The Groove Place lived up to their name! Dana and the band were great, responsive, and easy to deal with from start to finish. Our guests were raving about the band. Great experience from start to finish. Jamie and Dana are both extremely responsive and pleasant to work with. Everything from the booking and contract, to the details meeting and day of wedding went perfectly. Our guests would still be dancing if Groove Place was still playing. GroovePlace was the best that we could have ever picked!!! We went to a showcase at the band leader's house a year before our wedding, before we walked out, my fiancé and my parents all agreed, this was the band for us. We booked them that week and were all so excited for the wedding music. A few weeks before the wedding, we set up a Skype call between Dana and ourselves, Dana went over every aspect of the wedding to ensure the day would be perfect with our music choices. They band was willing to learn a couple songs that were not on their list, and they did an amazing job not only performing those songs, but the whole night. Our guests are still raving about how amazing our band was, was the best they ever heard!!! I 100% recommend Groove Place for any special event you may have in the future!!

We got married in June of this year so this review is coming a little late after finally getting back into real life and organized after an amazing wedding. Groove Place was absolutely perfect for our wedding band! They were such a pleasure to work with and were so quick to respond to any questions or ideas I had throughout the planning process. When my husband and I went to their showcase in search of our wedding band we made a deal in the car that we weren't going to book the first band that we saw...Well, we broke our own promise and were blown away by their talent; vocals, energy and professionalism the first night at their showcase. We got back into the car afterwards and my husband turned to me and said, "I want that band for our wedding" to which I immediately replied, "Done!"

They are very reasonably priced and their music and entertainment was amazing! They learned a new song for my first dance with my dad, no problem, and made it so special. They had great suggestions of their own too. I surprised my husband with a zombie grooms cake and they came up with the idea of playing "Thriller" to go with the zombie theme! It was a huge hit! There was so much energy and our entire wedding was on the dance floor the whole time. We actually extended the night because we were having so much fun and no one wanted to go home!

I would highly recommend Groove Place to any bride looking for a wedding band that wants her guests to be comfortable and dance the night away! All of our guests were and still are raving about their wide range of musical genre ability. Throughout the night they played music that all of our guests could enjoy which meant the most to my husband and I. I can't say enough great things about this band except I wish we could do it all over again and re-play that night again.

I can't begin to say enough good things about Groove Place. They were an awesome, awesome band! They sounded and looked absolutely amazing up on stage! They played the entire evening and had everyone, young and older, up out of their seats and dancing the WHOLE night! During the wedding guests were coming over asking where I found this band and telling me how good they sounded. Weeks after the wedding I am still having guests tell me how amazing the band sounded. I would highly recommend Dana and this band... just fantastic! The next event I have I will most definitely be using Groove Place. I can't say enough great things about them!! Definitely check out one of their showcases to hear them, they are all true musicians! If you see them play live there will be no doubts about their ability to play, and play well! I give them a 10 out of 10!
