Groove Knight performed for both my ceremony and reception on April 18, 2026. They were absolutely incredible! We booked the 11-piece band with the full horn section, which was SO MUCH FUN! We had so many guests tell us that it was one of the most fun receptions they had ever been to because of how wonderful the band was. Dave was also incredibly responsive and easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend Groove Knight for any event! -

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect band for our wedding! We actually saw them perform at a venue the night we got engaged, and we were so impressed that we booked them for the wedding too!! We went with the 9-piece band, and every element was exceptional. The saxophonist set the tone during cocktail hour with a smooth, upscale vibe that our guests are still raving about. During dinner, the band played light, elegant music that created the perfect ambiance, and once dinner wrapped up, they absolutely brought the energy and got everyone on the dance floor. What really stood out was how interactive they were—they read the crowd perfectly and played a great mix that appealed to all ages. The dance floor was never empty, which is exactly what we hoped for! They even kept the celebration going through our send-off, making the entire evening feel seamless and unforgettable. If you’re looking for a band that’s not only incredibly talented but also knows how to create an amazing experience from start to finish, we can’t recommend them enough! -

Best wedding band ever!
We truly could not have asked for a better wedding band!! From start to finish, they were absolutely incredible, and we are so beyond grateful we chose them for our day. So many of our guests came up to us during the wedding and even after to say it was the best band they have ever heard at a wedding, and we could not agree more!!
Not only are they unbelievably talented, but they were also amazing to work with throughout the entire process. Their communication was fantastic, and they were so kind, responsive, and willing to work with us on special requests to make everything feel personal and exactly how we envisioned it. That meant so much to us!!
They also went above and beyond by helping play my bridal entrance music during the ceremony, which made that moment feel so special. And having the saxophone and trumpet during cocktail hour was such a fun and elevated touch that our guests loved!!
One of the absolute highlights of the night was when the saxophone made its way onto the dance floor!! It completely transformed the energy and had everyone out there dancing and having the best time. It was such a fun and unforgettable moment that our guests are still talking about!!
We are so, so grateful for them and the energy they brought to our wedding. They truly made the night unforgettable, and we cannot recommend them enough!! -

Groove Knight exceeded our expectations and made the wedding reception at Hotel 1928 in Waco so much fun. The band played more classical and classic oldies during the seated dinner. Then when it was time for all of us to hit the dance floor, it was full all night.
From the first contact with Dave the band’s throughout the planning process, the experience wad seamless and so organized. The bride and groom were able to select their preferred songs from a vast list of wide genres. They had one country song that was a little obscure so the band learned it for their special dance. Dave was so pleasant and kept in touch with us to make sure everything was planned for the evening.
My daughter and son in law had been to several weddings where Groove Knight had played. Our wedding planner also thought they were the best choice for our vision.
If you want a wedding reception where everyone hits the dance floor even the reluctant types, Groove Knight is the perfect choice. Plus, the horn section/players elevated the experience. Groove Knight was just right -

We cannot say enough amazing things about Groove Knight! From the very beginning, working with Dave was an absolute pleasure. He was professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our big day perfect.
The band absolutely crushed it on the night of our wedding. They played all the classic hits we requested—each one performed with so much energy and talent—and even went the extra mile to learn two new songs just for us. That personal touch meant so much, and they nailed both songs flawlessly!
But what truly blew us (and our guests!) away was how they kept the dance floor packed for three hours straight. It felt like a non-stop party, and everyone—from our friends to our parents and grandparents—was up dancing and having the time of their lives. The energy never dipped, and the band fed off the crowd in the best way.

WOW OH WOW!!!!!! I could not have imagined by day without Groove Knight! Dave and the rest of the band created the most incredible party experience! Dave performed at the weddings of 2 of my husband's siblings so picking them was an easy decision! From start to finish Dave was incredible to work with, from song choices, to crazy ideas, he and the band pulled out all the stops! If I could relive my reception just for the band alone I would! If you're on the fence on if you should book them.... DO IT!!!! You won't regret it! -

BEST BAND EVER!!!!
I feel so lucky to have had such an amazing band at our wedding. Our cocktail hour unfortunately was delayed because our security no showed us (meaning no alcohol for anyone until we got the new security guard there 🙃) and Groove Knight brought the energy and fun and just made everyone forget about the little hiccup! All of my friends and family have been telling me how much fun and how awesome the band was. I can’t thank Groove Knight enough. Hire them for any event, but especially if you want your wedding to be unforgettable!!!! -

My partner and I knew that music was going to be the most important part of the wedding day, and Groove Night was extraordinary. Since the big day has wrapped up, the band is the only thing our guests keep talking about. Our decision to hire Groove Night was the BEST choice we made for our wedding.
We went with the ten-piece band, which included a three-piece horn section, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums, and four singers. From the moment the band started playing, they had the guests out on the dance floor. Their energy was infectious, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. Members of the band even came down from the stage to interact with the guests including multiple of the singers and the saxophonist. From our first dance to every high energy dance song, the band played their hearts out, captivating everyone in the room.
Besides their undeniable talent and stage presence, the band was incredibly easy to work with and accommodating. We had some special requests for the band including an anniversary dance and playing some international music over the speakers. Without hesitation, they worked to integrate this seamlessly into their set for the night. One of the best suggestions the band had was to end the night with a bride and groom dance with all the wedding guests surrounding us. Truly a moment we will remember for the rest of our lives. They took the time to understand our vision for the evening and went above and beyond to exceed our expectations.
In the end, Groove Night was not just a wedding band – they were the heartbeat of our celebration. Their talent, passion, and professionalism transformed our special day into a magical experience that we will cherish forever. If there's one piece of wedding advice I could give to a fellow bride - hire Groove Knight!! They were incredible. They are all amazingly talented, and so easy to work with. Dave was absolutely outstanding in his communication, and he rocked the bass, too! Super impressive. They learned our first dance song, an instrumental French jazz piece, and I cannot stop raving about the saxophone player. We receive so many compliments on Groove Knight and I have only the best things to say about them. I danced all night long with all of our guests who couldn't stay off the dance floor because GK was rockin' it. Thank you, GK, for making our wedding dreams into a reality!! -

My son just got married in November 2023 and this was the second time I hired the band Groove Knight. They are simply the best when it comes to a fun and memorable occasion. Dave is so easy to work with and they even learned new songs we requested for the father/daughter and mother/son dances. The singers and musicians are so talented and it is clear how much they truly enjoy the music and the audience. I can't wait to have another event so I can hire them again!! -

Groove Knight helped make our wedding so much fun! everyone was out on the dance floor and they were also so professional and also at such a great price for the sheer quality of what you get! At one point the saxophone player got out into the audience and it really just seemed like each band member just loved the joy of music and entertaining a crowd. The singers' voices were also incredible. I highly recommend that you book Groove Knight for a quality experience! -

Groove Knight was an amazing band for our wedding! Dave was super responsive and professional from the moment we reached out in the early planning days. We were able to customize a package to include ceremony music, cocktail music, and the reception performance. The band learned our favorite song, and we performed with them! All of our friends and family only had wonderful things to say about the incredible vocalists, fantastic musicians, out of this world saxophone player, and overall good vibes that had the dance floor packed the whole night! I want to throw another party just have to Dave and Groove Knight. They were so easy to work with and definitely a great time. The guests cannot stop talking about the music. They were so flexible as we had some things came up day of that had to be adjusted. Dave acted like it was no big deal. I cannot wait to work with them again! -

We hired Groove Knight for my daughter’s wedding 12/30/21. They were amazing! Dave answered all our questions, and made suggestions to us. We truly valued his advise and opinion. It was important to my daughter that her dad sing her and her husband’s first dance. Dave went out of his way to meet with my husband so my husband could practice with him.
We all had an amazing time dancing to all of their song choices. All our guests kept complementing us on doing a great job picking the band.
Keep in mind, when choosing a band…the band can make or break a wedding! Groove Knight made my daughter’s wedding amazing. They did not disappoint.

We hired the 10 piece band to play at our daughter's wedding. They made the night! EVERYONE had the best time!!! This is the band you are looking for. Ever member is an incredibly talented musician/vocalist so they can play a variety of genres. Every couple wants their special day to be memorable.....Grove Knight makes it memorable for you AND all those who attend :) Have fun and congrats~ You are going to have a blast!!! I hired Groove Knight immediately! I didn't even have to look at any other bands. After reading their reviews, talking to Dave on the phone, and watching their videos I had to book them. Dave made the process so easy, he's so nice and professional and even learned our first dance song and the father/bride dance which was my parents wedding first dance song. All the guests raved about Groove Knight and couldn't believe that they could jump from country, to disco, to latin music. Their range is unbelievable!!! The guests were on the dance floor all night long and everyone had the best time. We didn't want the night to end. Also, amazingly they were way more affordable than other bands. It's really a win-win! Don't think twice, just book Groove Knight - they will make your wedding!! Thank you SO much Groove Knight - now I just want to have another event so that I can hire you and dance the knight/night away:) -

They stole the show!!! I still have guests calling and commenting on how amazing Groove Knight was!! Our dance floor was FILLED the entire night - at one point the sax player came out in the middle for a solo. Incredible!!
We coordinated a guitarist for the ceremony & the sax player for cocktail hour and it was perfect. If you are local to the Austin area you can even see the group perform at local bars (which is what we did before pulling the trigger). We ended up going with the full band & they were still more affordable than some 5 piece bands we were considering.
They are very friendly & have a fast response time. We had them learn three songs: I Don't Dance; Crazy in Love; One, Two Step AND THEY CRUSHED IT!! -

Groove Knight is awesome!!!!
Not only were they more affordable than other bands I inquired about (and we booked the party package which has the most instruments) but they exceeded all my expectations with not only their wedding performance, but also with all the planning aspects leading up to our wedding. Dave is who I was in contact with throughout the whole planning process and he was always kind, responded quickly, and thought through things I wasn't even aware I needed to think through. He double checked my time line, called me the week before to make sure he was pronouncing our whole wedding party's names all correctly for the grand entrance, and ran through other things that literally never would have crossed my mind with me. The band also learned the song that my father and I danced to which meant the world (for no extra fee I might add). The wedding seems like a complete blur for me but all I have received from guests is praise about how much fun the band was and how good the songs they played were. I have gotten a number of videos of the saxophone player breaking it downnnn on the dance floor and it makes me sooo happy! We had all ages out on the dance floor enjoying the music and having a good time, which was more important to me than I realized. Groove Knight made our wedding so fun and memorable and they are one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding and I am so glad we ended up following through and choosing them. They were so stress free and EASY....which isn' t always a guarantee with wedding planning. I could not speak more highly of them. Thank you so much Groove Knight! -

Everyone who came to our wedding agreed that Groove Knight was absolutely amazing! Our wedding would not have been the same without this band. I don't think there was one song that didn't have everyone out on the dance floor. Their song catalog is very impressive and I only had a few requirements - no country songs and no group dances. I let the band decide the rest and they were incredible. From the songs they played during dinner, to the last dance of the night - they sounded perfect. Communication with Dave could not have been better - he made great suggestions and also coordinated learning a new song for the big day. We are so happy we hired Groove Knight! -

I absolutely cannot recommend Groove Knight Band highly enough! We first met Dave and his team for a small show in Georgetown where they were able to get everyone on the dance floor in no time at all! Our wedding was no different! I cannot remember a time where the dance floor was not completely packed with everyone dancing and singing their hearts out! Since our wedding, we have received more compliments on “the incredible band” than almost any other part of our wedding. Dave and his team absolutely killed it and we are so grateful to have them as a part of our wedding team. We sincerely appreciate the grace, patience, and attention-to-detail that Dave extended to us throughout the year leading up to the wedding as well as the love and kindness he showed us on the day of! The quality of their band is truly unmatched and choosing Groove Knight Band was, by far, one of the best decisions we made! If we could do it all over again, we would choose GKB in a heartbeat! -

We are still hearing from our guests about how they had the best time at our wedding. Groove Knight exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to make sure that our guests had the best time. My husband and I were dancing the night away among many of our guests. Once everyone got on the dance floor, I don't think they ever left! They not only played music but entertained us with their dancing and choreography for many songs. I am also glad we went with the 10 piece band which was using their horn section and it was definitely not disappointing! Dave, who I spoke with each time, was super accommodating and nice with everything that I wanted or needed. Groove Knight will NOT disappoint! They definitely made our wedding night! -

Book Them Now!!!
Stop what you’re doing and book this band! My number one goal was to have my guests up on their feet and enjoying the night, and that’s exactly what Groove Knight provided. Out of all my vendors for the big day, Dave was by far the easiest to work with. I always got a response within an hour, he frequently reached out to me, and worked with our budget. He was absolutely on top of everything, which is huge! On the day of, the band played lovely ceremony music and the party music was for every age group that we had. I seriously cannot say enough great things about this fantastic band. They will not disappoint!! -

Groove Knight energized our wedding guests at the Intercontinental Stephen F. Austin with their highly varied play list. The 8-piece band had everyone rocking, from young to old. Many of the hotel staff commented they were the best they've heard, surpassing some of the cover artists. The rendition by their alto of the 500 Miles was outstanding. We had Groove Knight for our wedding in March and they were amazing throughout the entire process and especially that night.
We had previously seen them at another friend's wedding last year and when we were discussing whether to get a band or a DJ for our own, we kept coming back to how much fun they were.
We found their rates to be very reasonable compared to other bands we looked at briefly and decided to book them. One of the best parts about Dave and his team was how easy they were to work with. They understand that planning a wedding is stressful and that different people want different levels of control for that night. One way they eased stress for us was by sending us a list of all the songs they knew. Then then gave us the ability to curtail the list as much as we wanted by deciding what we wanted played and what we didn't want played. We actually didn't curtail the list at all and decided to trust them. They rewarded us by doing a phenomenal job of reading the party. After dinner was served, I don't think there was a single moment the dance floor was empty.
Our wedding was amazing and Groove Knight was a big reason why. We would recommend them to anyone. -

We both knew we wanted a band to play at our wedding instead of a DJ, but we also had doubts about that decision. Looking into the different bands that would play for us, we stumbled on Groove Knight and it all seemed too good to be true. Dave was so easy to work with! He let us know where they would be playing in order to get to see the band play live before hiring them. THEY WERE PHENOMENAL! Unfortunately, we just got to see them play a couple songs, but even then we were blown away at how great they sounded. That sealed the deal for us. They emailed us with a few pages for info on the wedding and our overall likes in music based on their set list. Come the day of the wedding, the band was all set up at the agreed time, and everything ran smoothly. Half of the time, I would even forget we had a band because they sounded SO FREAKING GREAT that I thought it was the original recording of the song. The music at your wedding can make or break it, and Groove Knight really brought up the atmosphere! The singers were great, the musicians were great, and working with them was even greater. A lot of our guests were raving about the band during and after the wedding. I am so humbled and appreciative we had them play at our wedding. By far, the best choice we made and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a band for their wedding. -

The Groove Knights were AMAZING! Our dance floor was packed from the first song to the last. They sounded great and the energy was through the roof. The song choices and order were perfect! My groom and I are huge wedding dancers and the band let us get on stage with them and interacted with us on several routines. We got told by many of our guests how great our band was. They learned our first dance song and performed it amazingly. They were on cue for all announcements. The planning process with them was easy, and they provided great suggestions to help with the flow of the night. Would highly recommend booking!! -

I selected Groove Knight for my stepdaughters wedding and simply went with my gut feeling that this was the right band and yes they were, and some! Not only were the 6 piece band/singers extremely talented and 100% knew how to get the crowd dancing, the acoustic guitar for ceremony created a beautiful ambience and the acoustic guitar & sax was moody for cocktails. I organized this wedding via email/phone from NJ and Dave made this task a breeze, he goes above and beyond to give you exactly what you want and due to his experience thought of things that would never have occurred to me to make everything run smoothly. From very early on in the evening I received compliments from guests on the band. Amazing job Groove Knight, thank you! -

They were truly present and engaged with our motley crew of friends and family and let us dance all up in their space. Dave was extremely easy to work with and was very insightful as we planned our event. Additionally, he let me do some not-so-traditional things like sing the Father/Daughter dance rather than dance to it. He also obliged to my "no slow song" policy. We had seen them at some of our friends' wedding and absolutely wanted them to perform at ours. If you want a fun, kick-ass band, with a singer who BREAKS OUT A MEGAPHONE during Red Hot Chili Peppers and a drummer who goes ALL IN during the Isley Brothers' "Shout" then this is your band. My friends are still talking about how rad the music was.
