I could not have planned our 50 guest Seattle wedding without Ashley's help. We opted for the Wedding Management package, and I'm so glad I did. I traveled for work for about 2 months in the year before our wedding, so I already had a lot on my plate. Ashley kept me on track, the planning tools were very useful and user-friendly, and the vendors she recommended were amazing to work with. The day went so smoothly with her & Tosha's help - I personally felt like we could really enjoy the day and my guests, could, too. Ashley is just a stellar human being. I cannot say enough good things about her & the Grit City team. You all have Kyle & I's eternal gratitude. -

Working with Ashley and Grit City Weddings made wedding planning not only easy, but fun. We spent over a year ideating with Ashley. She never said no to our most ridiculous ideas—and made somethings we thought far-fetched a reality, like turning our post-reception bar into a "sports bar" that showcased our childhood sports memorabilia and, of course, old Seattle Mariners games. When we had the idea of using vintage plates at dinner, Ashley researched vendors. Those vendors were booked in our area. Not to fear! Ashley started her own wedding plate rental company and started buying up stock at antique stores. Our tables looked incredible. She recommended excellent vendors she vouched for across price points, which made all the difference for us. Ashley also took all the stress off of us not only on the day-of the event, but in the weeks leading up to it. Her no nonsense attitude when dealing with logistics was a godsend! Our wedding was beautiful and really captured who we are as a couple and we definitely could not have done it without Ashley. The only downside is that we don't get to keep hanging out with her now that the wedding is done! -

Ashley was the first vendor we hired for our wedding and thank goodness she was. She explained to us the difference between coordinators and planners, and we were shocked at how much her coordinator package covers for such a generous price. She personally recommended every single other vendor we hired, gave us tools to keep our planning on track and double check that everything was running smoothly, and answered all my insane, neurotic questions.
She has so much experience. She was able to guide me to ask questions I never would have thought of asking on my own. She had ideas I never would have thought of that made our wedding so fun! She went to our tasting with us and helped make sure our guests dietary restrictions were covered (and asked even more questions we wouldn't have known to ask). She picked up our rentals early and brought them to the venue and then set everything up for us. Her day-of team was so capable, professional and fun.
If you want a vendor that is going to help you plan the event YOU want to have, help you set everything up and then take over so you can relax and have fun, Ashley is your person. If you want a vendor that you can put your full trust in (and even share intimate personal details if you need to), Ashley is your person. If you want a vendor that is warm, kind, accepting, organized, and rolls with the punches, Ashley is your person. I have 0 regrets, and, knowing everything I know now, would hire her again at double her price. -

We hired Ashley for her wedding coordination service, and she vastly exceeded our expectations. We met with over video-chat multiple times before the wedding to get on the same page, ask questions, and get to know each other. We went into the wedding day feeling prepared and supported.
The thing we noticed most about Ashley’s level of service was the fact that we DIDN’T notice any of the many things she was doing behind the scenes. We saw her when we needed to, and she was everywhere else at once. She maintained a great calm and collected energy throughout the day, and our families said she was lovely to work with as well.
There were moments during the wedding (we found out later) that skewed slightly off plan, but Ashley is such an expert that she remedied them all as they came with quick wit and insight.
We literally had the PERFECT wedding day, and Ashley was a huge reason for that. We have already recommended her to our cousin who is getting married (with Ashley as their planner!), and we would recommend her 1000x more.

Grit City made my wedding seamless! When I tell you I had no issues, I had no issues. I did not have to worry about a single thing. I’m not sure what I would’ve done without Ashley and her assistant Tosha - my family loved them as well and noticed all of their hard work. Ashley made sure my photographer stayed on time and ensured that my now husband and I had some time with our family before taking photos again. The planning meetings leading up to my wedding were extremely thorough. Ashely is very personable, respectful, kind, and aligns to the couples vision of their ideal wedding. I have Grit City to thank for my amazing wedding experience, which you only get once!

Wow. All I can say it wow! Ashley and her team are MIRACLE WORKERS! From the moment I met Ashley at a wedding show I knew we had to hire her. Friendly, helpful, sweet, supportive, and oh my, that spreadsheet!!! The entire process from meeting to planning to rehearsal and all the way through the end of our wedding night was made immensely more enjoyable and less stressful thanks to Ashley and Tosha (and their wonderful assistants who came on the wedding day!) Pretty much saved my wedding day !
WOW! Ashley and her team did an amazing job. Words can't really express how happy I am with the service, professionalism and creativity of Grit City Weddings. I used them for my day of coordination but I feel like Ashley really helped me stay organized along the way. She also helped me stay calm during this entire process.
The day of the wedding everything ran so smoothly that my guests made comments on how easy and organized the event was. Ashley and her assistants Tirza and Logan were always around day of wedding to ensure bride, groom and wedding party were well taken care of.
We had an outdoor ceremony with reception in a tent. That evening there was an insane rain and windstorm. I was very very nervous but Ashley and her crew not only kept others calm but also sprung into action to save all my wedding gifts and signage from the rain. They went above and beyond to basically save the day! Ashley was fun to work work with and has so much knowledge it really takes the stress and pressure off. She has the perfect balance of getting the job done while not losing site of the bride and groom's vision. She really took time to understand who we were and what was important to us for our wedding.
I give my highest recommendation of Grit City Weddings and am SO happy with the service and really coming through on my big day. Thank you! -

Ashley is a pure joy to work with! Choosing Grit City for the day of coordination and design for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made through the whole process. Through every step of the process, Ashley was there to answer our questions and provide feedback on our ideas. Not only is she knowledgeable in all things wedding, but she takes all the stress out of planning. In the week leading up to the big day I was able to give her complete control over all vendor communications and all planning duties. Not once did I ever worry about something getting lost or forgotten about, Ashley exceeded every expectation and I was able to relax and just enjoy the celebration! I can’t give enough praise to Ashley and her team for how seamless they made the wedding day and the entire time leading up to it. They were excited, organized and prepared for anything that came up. The train of my dress ripped 30 minutes before the ceremony and they were there with a thread gun and a smile to fix me right up. Truly the greatest team, book them for your wedding you will NOT regret it!

I don't even know where to start about Ashley! Put simply, I wouldn't have been able to get married without her. She is so committed to the production of weddings, and her passion echoes in her work. She is detail-oriented while also managing to be down-to-earth and relaxed—a combination I did not think existed! We threw some complicated and wild things on her plate, and she handled them all with ease.
Throwing these types of events is already stressful enough, if you want someone who will not add more stress to your life, who will make the art of planning a wedding something you are excited about, then you need to hire Ashley and her team. -

Exceed All Expectations!
My wedding day was perfect. And it's all because of Ashley and her team at Grit City. I'm a Type A person, hyper-organized, and a designer that already had a vision for my wedding. It was very important that I find someone that was as equally detail-oriented, that I would feel comfortable working with, and that could make my design vision a reality. After interviewing multiple wedding planners, the choice was so obvious - Grit City! I worked with Ashley for over a year making my wedding vision a reality. She was so knowledgeable and helpful along the way, I absolutely could not have done this without her. On the day of the wedding, Ashley made sure that I relinquish my tendencies to take on too much and insisted that she take care of all the details. She even made sure my son got what he needed to get ready for the event when he had to arrive separately from football camp. She wanted to make sure I was able to focus on my big day and not worry at all about everything and everyone else. The wedding, décor, and ambience exceeded my vision and expectations. Even my wedding guests took notice at how hard she worked the entire day to make sure everyone was having fun, relaxed and enjoying the moment. I made the right choice in selecting Ashley and Grit City! -

If you’re considering Grit City Weddings, we cannot recommend them enough. Ashley made the planning process so easy compared to what it could have been. She gave us timelines and documents to track contracts, amounts paid, and what was left to be done. She was so open to doing things differently than an average wedding, and gave us ideas and potential vendors. Ashley is insanely calm under pressure; I’m an air traffic controller and she made the chaos look easy (and did it with a smile). I felt like what we paid was a bargain for all that she did for us! She made our wedding run flawlessly and exactly how we imagined it! -

Cannot recommend enough
We had the wonderful experience of working with Ashley at Grit City for our wedding planning and it could not have been a better experience. We had an odd vision for what we were looking for, and Ashley handled it all amazingly, from recommending the perfect vendors to keeping us on track and making sure we had everything we needed to truly make it our day. Ashley worked very closely with myself and our maid of honor to make sure the day went perfectly, and was an excellent day-of coordinator. We went with their Wedding Management package and, as someone who can be a bit of a control freak, it was exactly what we needed; Ashley took care of the things we needed done and pointed me in the right direction for all the things we wanted to do ourselves. On the day of the wedding, we truly were able to relax and enjoy ourselves knowing that Ashley had it all taken care of. I cannot recommend her enough! -

We had the pleasure of working with Ashley leading up to our event with the Coordination Package as well as Tosha and Julie joining us on the day of and we cannot recommend Grit City enough! From the first conversation, you could tell their broad experience left us in very capable hands. The Grit City team provides a ton of planning resources to their couples and we met several times leading up to the event, all of which left us feeling relaxed and confident about our big day. Ashley with Grit City was an absolute joy to work with. My husband and I hired her for Day-Of coordinating services for our wedding. Ashley was relatable and welcoming and was also punctual, detail-oriented, and gave great advice, but left us feeling as though she still valued our vision and ideas (and boy do I have a lot of ideas!) Ashley was extremely supportive and put my family and I at ease and made it so we could all truly enjoy the wedding rather than sweating the small stuff. I like to fancy myself quite the "planner," but it was such a perfect and brilliant opportunity to step back and let the professional work her magic -- and magic it was! If you are anything like me and are considering whether or not it's worthwhile and worth the money to hire a planner or day-of coordinator -- the answer is YES. It absolutely is. Even a month after the wedding, our friends and family have still been raving about how amazing Ashley and her team was and I couldn't agree more and felt like our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them. -

Ashley is a wealth of knowledge. She has a lot of experience in this field and we are happy and blessed to have taken her advice and guidance during the planning process. We had several
meetings beforehand and she coordinated the day. She kept us on track to ensure we had everything we wanted and needed beforehand. The planning and coordinating made the day go by fast and easy. She knew what we visioned and made it happen including set up and clean up. On the day of our wedding, we could not have asked for anyone else. Ashley and Tosha helped us stay on timeline, helped us be where we needed to be and guided us thru the event. They set up the venue and it was beautiful done. She relieved a lot of stress I had about wedding planning and am happy we went with Grit City. We loved the end result and highly recommend her for any event -

10/10 absolutely recommend!
I can without a doubt say that the best decision we made in our wedding planning was to hire Ashley and her team. Working with Ashley, you could tell that she was genuinely excited for our marriage and celebration. And not only that, she also brought all our vendors along with her in the excitement. Her ability to read the crowd and us as bride and groom to see if the schedule needed any adjusting was hands down the best I’ve ever seen. I personally credit the Grit City team with keeping me functioning on my wedding day. They went above and beyond and made sure I had anything I needed before I ever thought to ask. (Eg. Advil and water on a schedule to fend off a migraine).
I feel like I can’t express how deeply appreciative I really am so I’ll end with this… If you’re on the fence about booking with Grit City… DO IT! I cannot recommend them enough! -

Ashley was incredible, I truly cannot recommend her enough!!! From the time I reached out to the very tail end of the wedding day, she was perfect on every detail. If I hadn't had her on our special day I cannot even IMAGINE the disaster it would have been with me trying to coordinate everything - instead it was perfect, an absolute dream, all I had to say all day was "talk to Ashley" and she handled it! Ashley, Michele and their team are some of the best people we know and are truly, no exaggeration, HEROES who saved our wedding TWICE (thanks covid). Every time we had a conversation with Grit City, we went in feeling anxious and overwhelmed by planning and came out feeling heard, seen, stoked, and 100% confident in their vision. The biggest bummer about our wedding being over is that we have fewer excuses to get these ladies on the phone. Hiring Grit City Weddings and having Michele as our day-of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made. Like so many couples, we drastically downsized our wedding due to COVID and I felt pretty lost in the chaos and emotions of re-arranging. Once we met Michele and started working closely with her to finalize the details, I felt increasingly at ease. She thinks of EVERYTHING and keeps track of it in a way that just makes your life easier as a couple. The day of our wedding she and Erin were absolute heroes - from checking in throughout the day to see if I was OK/needed water, keeping us on schedule, setting up all the decor, getting all the vendors on the same page, lining up the wedding party, to packing up leftover dinner/desserts and gifts AND taking them to our car... we were so well cared for. I really don't even want to imagine what the day would have been like without Michele. It takes an incredibly caring, organized, and hardworking person to do events like this. We had all of that and more.
If you're on the fence about hiring a coordinator (I was... foolishly), allow me to help you off the fence. Working with Grit City was a gamechanger and I genuinely hope more and more couples/families will give themselves that gift for their special days. -

This team is AMAZING!!! My wedding was one of the many that had to be postponed due to COVID so I had the great pleasure of working with both Ashley and Michele for my wedding. 2 plus years ago when I first met with Ashley at a coffee shop pre-COVID I instantly knew that she was going to be perfect. She was so kind, attentive, and passionate for this work. I felt instantly at ease about putting my wedding into her hands. She worked to support me through 2 reschedules and I was devastated to hear that she was not available for my 3rd wedding date and a bit apprehensive about her co-owner Michele taking on my new date. That quickly changed as Michele and I began communicating. Leading up to my rehearsal dinner and wedding day I felt relaxed knowing that she knew my desires for my special day and I wouldn't have to worry about a thing. My wedding day went off without a hitch (that I knew of) and I know that is because of all of the amazing work that Michele did behind the scenes. Thank you both so much for the amazing work that you do making weddings days so special and allowing my focus to be on my new husband and all those who came to celebrate with us -

Simply the best!
Need someone to handle an event, dont look any further than right here!! I could not have asked for a better team to handle our wedding day!!!! Ashley and Michele were on top of everything, communication was amazing, and I had full confidence that our wedding would go smoothly. Day of, Michele was so on top of everything we were able to just enjoy one of the most important days of our lives and not worry about a thing. They were even able to coordinate the rainy weather to stop 5 minutes before the ceremony, thats how great they are!! Hiring Grit City Weddings was the best choice I made for my entire wedding. Hands down. My husband and I decided to get married on a VERY short timeline, six weeks to be exact! In that time, I think I had two or three zoom calls with Michele and Ashley, they answered any email questions I had, plus Michele came to our venue (our house) for a long planning meeting as well. They provided vendor suggestions, lists of to-dos that I would not have thought of, and were incredibly helpful with brainstorming ideas for covid/distancing requirements.
On the night of rehearsal dinner Michele led the entire process. Our officiant was fairly inexperienced, and I certainly had no idea what to do. Michele made sure we practiced all the important parts without feeling too rehearsed.
On the day-of…wow! Michele was amazing. Let me just say that my personality is to be incredibly anxious/ worried/high strung. However, on the day of the wedding, I was actually relaxed, ahead of schedule and able to fully enjoy every moment! I completely owe this to Michele. Im sure there was chaos happening behind the scenes (we had to switch to our rain-plan at the last minute), but I never felt any stress on my end. All of my bridesmaids/groomsmen who have been part of another wedding before told me that this was the smoothest wedding they had been a part of, and they all said Michele was incredible!
My entire day was wonderful, and I am so so so happy I hired Grit City. Could not recommend them more!

Ashley is amazing! From the first meeting to the actual day of our wedding she had the most upbeat. Cheerful personality that always made it seem like everything would be ok. (Even during covid) Ashley made sure that our big day ran as smooth as possible. With all the ups and downs through the last months of planning a wedding during covid she was nothing but smiles (even when I was stressed). From handling arrival of guests and vendors to placing decorations everything was beautiful! -

We hired Grit City about a month and a half before our wedding. We found ourselves lost in all of the planning and knew we needed help! After our first meeting with Ashley, we were STOCKED that she was available for our wedding!
We had been told (by friends and family) that after the wedding, we would hear about all of the mistakes and issues that had occurred and, well... it has been 2 months now and we have heard nothing. Ashley made our day run perfectly! I cant imagine what the day would've been like if she wasn't involved. She was super easy to work with, very flexible and she has an amazing attention to detail. We highly recommend Grit City to anyone who is planning a wedding.
