  Everything we needed and MORE! PERFECT!!

  Ashley and her team were everything we needed and more. I could not stress how perfect and essential they were to making our day perfect and everything we had hoped for! Through the planning process all the way to the day of, they all were the most helpful! They made sure we didn't fall short on planning and took the reigns on the day of like pros! They were at every place we needed them to be. Cannot stress how you should go with them!

  July 2023 wedding

  If you’re considering Grit City Weddings, we cannot recommend them enough. Ashley made the planning process so easy compared to what it could have been. She gave us timelines and documents to track contracts, amounts paid, and what was left to be done. She was so open to doing things differently than an average wedding, and gave us ideas and potential vendors. Ashley is insanely calm under pressure; I’m an air traffic controller and she made the chaos look easy (and did it with a smile). I felt like what we paid was a bargain for all that she did for us! She made our wedding run flawlessly and exactly how we imagined it!

  Amazing experience on our big day!

  We had the pleasure of working with Ashley leading up to our event with the Coordination Package as well as Tosha and Julie joining us on the day of and we cannot recommend Grit City enough! From the first conversation, you could tell their broad experience left us in very capable hands. Ashley managed to be both incredibly friendly and easy to talk to while also being ridiculously efficient. The Grit City team provides a ton of planning resources to their couples and we met several times leading up to the event, all of which left us feeling relaxed and confident about our big day. On the wedding day, they arrived with smiling faces and kept things running smoothly and looking even better than we'd hoped. Their whole team was just delightful to work with and I am so glad they were there to help make our day perfect!

  Run, don't walk, to hire Grit City!

  We loved working with Grit City for our wedding! They were recommended by our venue (Willows Lodge) and it was so nice to work with a team who knows the venue inside and out. Ashley was super responsive and helpful throughout the entire process leading up to the big day. And Ashley and Tosha were amazing on the day of. They were really patient and positive, and were just an overall joy to be around. The day was unusually hot, and they made sure I was hydrated and fed. They felt like old friends, which is incredibly important on such an emotional and significant day. My husband said Grit City was the "best money we spent on the wedding" — and I couldn't agree more. Thank you, Grit City!

  Ashley with Grit City was an absolute joy to work with. My husband and I hired her for Day-Of coordinating services for our wedding. Ashley was relatable and welcoming and was also punctual, detail-oriented, and gave great advice, but left us feeling as though she still valued our vision and ideas (and boy do I have a lot of ideas!) Ashley was extremely supportive and put my family and I at ease and made it so we could all truly enjoy the wedding rather than sweating the small stuff. I like to fancy myself quite the "planner," but it was such a perfect and brilliant opportunity to step back and let the professional work her magic -- and magic it was! If you are anything like me and are considering whether or not it's worthwhile and worth the money to hire a planner or day-of coordinator -- the answer is YES. It absolutely is. Even a month after the wedding, our friends and family have still been raving about how amazing Ashley and her team was and I couldn't agree more and felt like our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them.

  Ashley and her team are AMAZING. We hired Grit City for day-of-coordination and it was one of the best decisions we made. Ashley and her team are truly seasoned experts and helped our wedding day to go perfectly. Ashley was so easy to work with throughout the entire planning process and, added bonus, she is SO FUN! Multiple people in our wedding party commented not only on Grit City's professionalism but how comfortable they made them feel to ask questions. I knew we were in the best hands. We feel so lucky to have found Grit City weddings! I give Ashley and her team a million star review and my highest recommendation that they will help your wedding day to go as perfectly as possible

  The BEST team!!

  The Grit City team were one of the best investments that we made in planning our wedding! Their teamwork was phenomenal. The support in the months leading up to our special day was exactly what we needed. Their help was key in making our special come happen exactly as we dreamed, and we could not recommend them more highly!

  We had the wonderful experience of working with Ashley at Grit City for our wedding planning and it could not have been a better experience. We had an odd vision for what we were looking for, and Ashley handled it all amazingly, from recommending the perfect vendors to keeping us on track and making sure we had everything we needed to truly make it our day. Ashley worked very closely with myself and our maid of honor to make sure the day went perfectly, and was an excellent day-of coordinator. We went with their Wedding Management package and, as someone who can be a bit of a control freak, it was exactly what we needed; Ashley took care of the things we needed done and pointed me in the right direction for all the things we wanted to do ourselves. On the day of the wedding, we truly were able to relax and enjoy ourselves knowing that Ashley had it all taken care of. I cannot recommend her enough!

  Literally, just go with Grit City Weddings + Events!

  The best wedding planner you can find in the the PNW! Ashley and her team were phenomenal at planning as well as the wedding coordination! From the beginning, she was such a warm and welcoming person and made us feel super special even though we had never meant (we are from out of state!). And when we all finally met it was like we had known her for a long time! She gave us recommendations for pretty much all aspects of the wedding so we did not feel bombarded with so many choices, especially because this planning was occurring from a few states away. She assured our worries with every meeting leading up to the big day. We also did a rehearsal and she hosted it with such ease! Finally.... our wedding was BEAUTIFUL! Ashley and her team took our vision and made it even better!! We were taken care of throughout our wedding and did not feel an ounce of stress. It almost seemed too good to be true! But even our families were impressed with how seamless every part was and how kind, accommodating, and down-to-earth Grit City was. Our wedding was truly such an amazing day because of them and the vendors they recommended.

  Above and beyond

  Ashley was exactly who you would want as the right hand on your wedding day (especially if you are type a like me). She went above and beyond, even replicating our table numbers when they got lost in the mail. We were lucky to have her and I would work with her again in a heartbeat.

  IG worthy venue!

  What a wonderful little gem on South Tacoma Way. I happened to stumble on this event space on IG and fell in love the aesthetically pleasing photos. I had to immediately check it out and knew this was the perfect space to host my daughter's doljanchi or first traditional Korean birthday party. Everything from the modern soft white walls, beautifully curated furniture, and open possibilities to host your prefect instagram worthy party.
  
  I also need to point out the outstanding event coordinators. Michele helped us with finding vendors for the balloon arch and baker. And provided so much more throughout the process. She wasn't our day of coordinator, but wish we had her.

  10/10 absolutely recommend!

  I can without a doubt say that the best decision we made in our wedding planning was to hire Ashley and her team. Working with Ashley, you could tell that she was genuinely excited for our marriage and celebration. And not only that, she also brought all our vendors along with her in the excitement. Her ability to read the crowd and us as bride and groom to see if the schedule needed any adjusting was hands down the best I’ve ever seen. I personally credit the Grit City team with keeping me functioning on my wedding day. They went above and beyond and made sure I had anything I needed before I ever thought to ask. (Eg. Advil and water on a schedule to fend off a migraine).
  
  I feel like I can’t express how deeply appreciative I really am so I’ll end with this… If you’re on the fence about booking with Grit City… DO IT! I cannot recommend them enough!

  Blown away

  We were seriously blown away by Ashley and her team. She was a godsend! We hired Ashley about 6 weeks prior to our wedding and she wasted no time getting everything situated! She was so easy to trust and really understood our vision for our big day! Every time I thought of something to remind everyone of, she had already reminded them. She was on top of everything! She even helped our DJs find the best way to loop our professional song. Seriously, what?! She went above and beyond and you would not be disappointed with her services.

  Michele / Grit City MADE our day!

  Hiring Grit City Weddings and having Michele as our day-of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made. Like so many couples, we drastically downsized our wedding due to COVID and I felt pretty lost in the chaos and emotions of re-arranging. Once we met Michele and started working closely with her to finalize the details, I felt increasingly at ease. She thinks of EVERYTHING and keeps track of it in a way that just makes your life easier as a couple. The day of our wedding she and Erin were absolute heroes - from checking in throughout the day to see if I was OK/needed water, keeping us on schedule, setting up all the decor, getting all the vendors on the same page, lining up the wedding party, to packing up leftover dinner/desserts and gifts AND taking them to our car... we were so well cared for. I really don't even want to imagine what the day would have been like without Michele. It takes an incredibly caring, organized, and hardworking person to do events like this.   If you're on the fence about hiring a coordinator (I was... foolishly), allow me to help you off the fence. Working with Grit City was a gamechanger and I genuinely hope more and more couples/families will give themselves that gift for their special days.

  Hiring Grit City Weddings and having Michele as our day-of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made. Like so many couples, we drastically downsized our wedding due to COVID and I felt pretty lost in the chaos and emotions of re-arranging. Once we met Michele and started working closely with her to finalize the details, I felt increasingly at ease. She thinks of EVERYTHING and keeps track of it in a way that just makes your life easier as a couple. The day of our wedding she and Erin were absolute heroes - from checking in throughout the day to see if I was OK/needed water, keeping us on schedule, setting up all the decor, getting all the vendors on the same page, lining up the wedding party, to packing up leftover dinner/desserts and gifts AND taking them to our car... we were so well cared for. I really don't even want to imagine what the day would have been like without Michele. It takes an incredibly caring, organized, and hardworking person to do events like this. We had all of that and more.

  Wedding Planning

  Grit City weddings was absolutely wonderful in helping us plan our wedding!! They started helping us plan more than a year in advance and were wonderful all along the way. We worked most closely with Ashley and Michelle, they were wonderful in helping us organize everything, made amazing suggestions for vendors (such as photographer, venue, hair&makeup, and DJ), and were so responsive to our needs. We are very grateful we had them as a part of our special day and would highly recommend them! We definitely couldn't have done it without Grit City!!

  Ashley / Grit City are truly exceptional!

  Clif notes: Ashley was amazing! Longer notes: When starting to plan the wedding, I was in the camp of not thinking that a wedding coordinator was necessary. Fortunately my sister talked me into it, and through some internet sleuthing, found Ashley / Grit City Weddings and let me know that she would likely fit our vibe. While we hired Ashley as a day of coordinator, she was happy to provide us with a list of recommended vendors - we found a florist and hair/makeup stylist that both did fantastic jobs as well through her suggestions. The day before (rehearsal) and the day of Ashley worked really hard and ensured that we had a success. We did not have an easy wedding - it involved a trip up Crystal Mountain on a gondola, getting supplies up to the top for the ceremony, then back down for the reception. Additionally there were a lot of last minute changes - due to the covid resurgence, we moved everything completely outdoors at the last minute, and reworked details to make sure we had a safe celebration. Little details that I realized I hadn't thought of at the last minute she let me know she had already addressed. Overall she did an excellent job - organizing us and keeping the festivities moving, working in the background when appropriate, and overall doing an awesome job. Having her made our wedding day so much smoother, and so much easier, and meant our friends and family could enjoy the day. Note: this was a gay, semi-Jewish wedding on top of a mountain, which should just illustrate that she can handle absolutely anything.

  Michele and Ashley were the best! I had a small backyard wedding at my house and was nervous about everything flowing smoothly. Ashley and Michele swooped in and everything went off without a hitch. Not only that, but my guests commented on how helpful they were and how impressed they were with their services. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a day of coordinator!

  Look No Further

  We met Ashley back in 2019 and instantly clicked. She dived right into getting to know us as a couple, as well as our vision for the big day. We had a complicated wedding thought out because we planned on having a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony in the morning prior to the wedding ceremony. We also had a big bridal party with a huge guest list of 300 people. She planned on having an assistant with her on the wedding day to help coordinate a wedding of that size, which we were SO thankful for.
  
  Unfortunately, we had to postpone our 2020 wedding because of COVID but we were so lucky that Ashley was available for our new wedding date. She was AWESOME during our wedding rehearsal making sure everyone was on the same page.

  Simply the best!

  Need someone to handle an event, dont look any further than right here!! I could not have asked for a better team to handle our wedding day!!!! Ashley and Michele were on top of everything, communication was amazing, and I had full confidence that our wedding would go smoothly. Day of, Michele was so on top of everything we were able to just enjoy one of the most important days of our lives and not worry about a thing. They were even able to coordinate the rainy weather to stop 5 minutes before the ceremony, thats how great they are!! I cannot thank them enough for the work they did and we appreciate having them apart of our day!

  Best Wedding Decision I Made

  Hiring Grit City Weddings was the best choice I made for my entire wedding. Hands down. My husband and I decided to get married on a VERY short timeline, six weeks to be exact! In that time, I think I had two or three zoom calls with Michele and Ashley, they answered any email questions I had, plus Michele came to our venue (our house) for a long planning meeting as well. They provided vendor suggestions, lists of to-dos that I would not have thought of, and were incredibly helpful with brainstorming ideas for covid/distancing requirements.
  On the night of rehearsal dinner Michele led the entire process. Our officiant was fairly inexperienced, and I certainly had no idea what to do. Michele made sure we practiced all the important parts without feeling too rehearsed.
  On the day-of…wow! Michele was amazing. Let me just say that my personality is to be incredibly anxious/ worried/high strung. However, on the day of the wedding, I was actually relaxed, ahead of schedule and able to fully enjoy every moment! I completely owe this to Michele. Im sure there was chaos happening behind the scenes (we had to switch to our rain-plan at the last minute), but I never felt any stress on my end. All of my bridesmaids/groomsmen who have been part of another wedding before told me that this was the smoothest wedding they had been a part of, and they all said Michele was incredible!
