We booked a 20 person wedding with Dean Cogswell at Grill 23. The evening was elegant with impeccable service and attention to detail and superior food. Working with Dean as facilitator made the evening memorable and seamless. We highly recommend Grill 23 and the staff, and particularly Dean Cogswell for your private dining manager.

We had our ceremony and luncheon at Grill 23&Bar in Boston. I cannot say enough about our experience with the entire team from the private event coordinator Dean, to the managers Rachel and Susan, to our wonderful head server Paul. We planned the entire event in records time. Dean was willing to accommodate all of our requests and even gave us his personal cell number should we need anything. The event managers Rachel and Susan helped to coordinate the ceremony, and they even helped the gentleman pin on their boutineers. I couldn’t have asked for more.

The food and service was unbelievable and we especially loved Paul. He gave us a good laugh!

I highly recommend Grill 23&Bar if you are looking for an elegant experience with an out of this world staff.

For our wedding, we hosted a cocktail hour and dinner for 45 people at Grill 23 in the Dartmouth and Clarendon Rooms. Everything from the food to the service was EXCEPTIONAL!

Dean, the private dining manager, went above and beyond. He responded promptly to emails, included a tasting for 4 people a month prior to our date, made table numbers, kept our flowers in the refrigerators the night before, created custom menu's and drinks and executed our decoration requests flawlessly.

The service staff that evening was phenomenal! Our guests raved about how quick, attentive, friendly and charismatic Chris, Elizabeth, Paul and others were. Plus, they helped our family breakdown the decorations that night so we could easily transport them back to our hotel.

The food. FANTASTIC! Our guests kept talking about the size of the scallops and bacon, the unreal flavor of the crab cakes, how perfectly cooked all the entrees were and how delicious the coconut cake was.

I had the pleasure of working with Dean Cogswell and his team on a wedding this past January for my former business partner's daughter's wedding. Throughout the years as a Wedding Planner, I've dealt with numerous teams, some good, some not so good, and a very few who I would describe as great. The Grill 23 team falls into the great category. The level of professionalism that they bring to the table, no pun intended, is exceptional. I never waited long for a response from this team and Dean bent over backwards to help me wherever he could since I was helping to plan this wedding from over 500 miles away. For example, our couple was checking into their hotel the day before the wedding and the family designed and created their own floral arrangements. Dean readily agreed to allow us to house all of those arrangements in the restaurant's refrigerator so that the flowers would look perfect the next day. Dean offered to handle all of the paper items such as escort cards, signage for the signature drink, labels for the cookies dispensed at the end of the night, along with creating the menu cards. It's reasonable to expect the restaurant to provide a menu card, but to volunteer to handle these other items, is a good example of how this team goes above and beyond for their wedding guests. It was a complete pleasure working with this team and I would do it again in a heartbeat. They get my highest vote and then some. Thank you Dean and team. You are sensational!!
