Truly Amazing!

We are so grateful that Holly was the photographer capturing such a special day for us! When we started the search for a wedding photographer, Holly was the only one already on our shortlist. I used to work for an organization that also hosted events, and one of the experienced coordinators mentioned in passing that Green Holly was one of their favorite photographers to work with. Even years later, it always stood out to me that a busy venue coordinator who had encountered so many vendors felt that Holly stood out.

From the moment we met, she made us feel comfortable and confident that our wedding memories were in the best hands. Holly’s work really does speak for itself, and while it is easy to be impressed with her stunning portfolio, Holly behind the camera is even more incredible. She has a warm and calming presence that is invaluable on a day that can be beyond hectic. And her very straightforward approach made the entire experience as seamless and easy as possible. Like most couples, we met with a few photographers before booking. With each one, we communicated concerns that we weren’t the most comfortable in front of the camera or confident that we were super photogenic. Time and time again, we heard “oh, everyone says that and then looks like a model” which might be true but isn’t very reassuring. Holly took time to listen and understand what made us feel that way, which meant she knew how to pivot when needed to get us photos we truly loved.

Her work is timeless, elegant, and full of life. The quality of the photos exceeded our expectations, and her ability to tell a story through her lens is remarkable – often capturing the tiny moments and emotions you simply can’t plan for. If you're looking for a photographer who is professional, personable, and an absolute master of her craft, we can’t recommend Green Holly enough. Holly was amazing

Holly was AMAZING! I honestly cannot say enough about Holly and her photography. When considering our big day, I cared the most about our photos. I wanted a blend of editorial style and some polished, and Holly really delivered. From our engagement photos to wedding photos, she made us feel so comfortable and organically captured who we are. She managed to get my husband (who is not a photo person) to genuinely smile in our pictures and get him to go a full 2 hours for our engagement session without one complaint -- a true magician. She also managed to get some great photos of our dog with us. On our wedding day we had some last minute rain shifts and she rolled with the flow. I am so grateful we hired Holly and absolutely love all the moments she captured for us!

Simply the best!

Choosing our photographer was probably the most difficult decision after choosing our venue -- and I am so glad that we were able to have Holly capture our day! I was drawn to the elegance of her portfolio and her attention to light and emotion, and the photos she took of our day demonstrate that same artistry. For anyone struggling with the decision, I highly recommend hiring Holly! Holly made us feel comfortable and calm, and she captured the story of the day gracefully even under a tightened timeline. She handled the chaos of getting family portraits with our big immediate families with efficiency (my husband has six siblings, and I have three...which means a lot of people when you include their spouses and kids!). Holly enriched our day with her presence. We are so glad to have these special and gorgeous memories preserved through Holly's thoughtful lens!

Amazing - easiest recommendation ever

Holly was our photographer for both our engagement photos and wedding photos. She is amazing and I would highly recommend to everyone to book her! For people who don't like to be photographed, she made us feel so comfortable and made the process so easy. She is very organized and professional and made sure to get our "must-have" shots and took extra time to get shots that we would liked but not needed. She captured our day so beautifully in our photos - everyone has given us so many compliments of how they have turned out. Holly is fantastic at her work and really captures the essence of your day.

I got married two weeks ago and hired Green Holly Photography to capture all aspects of the celebration. Simply put, you NEED Holly on your vendor team. She and her team are organized, professional, fun to work with and talented beyond belief. Holly captured every single thing on my photo wish list (and there was a lot!) plus more things I didn't even think of. The photos turned out simply gorgeous, and my husband, family and I are so grateful for the memories she gave us. It's so important to find a photographer who you "jive" with because you'll be spending a ton of time with them on a very important day. I clicked with Holly after chatting on the phone with her months before our wedding. She was only the second photographer I interviewed and I immediately knew she was the one for us.

Wedding Review

So incredibly talented!!! Holly created a perfect timeline for our wedding day. All pictures were done quickly and efficiently with our large bridal party (10 groomsmen/10 bridesmaids). She arrived on time and ready to go! She was always looking for new picture opportunities and making us feel comfortable. Our wedding day was during the end of November with some cold weather and sprinkling rain. Holly made the most of it finding photo ops outside even though we could not go out onto the grounds of the venue because of the weather. She is so talented and her pictures are absolutely beautiful! You definitely want her to capture all your special moments on your wedding day!

Absolutely Amazing!

Holly was amazing in every aspect! We changed our entire wedding due to COVID-19 and it continued to be a very fluid event up until it was over and Holly was so helpful throughout the entire process. She was such a joy to work with. She was professional and fun and helped everyone feel comfortable on our wedding day. We ended up having a small ceremony with no reception; however Holly was open to roaming around Detroit with us and taking amazing pictures that we will cherish forever. I would recommend Holly to everyone. She was such a big part of our day and was able to fit right in with our family while remaining professional and producing such beautiful photos. I’m so lucky I found her and would hire her again for other events.

Fantastic photos, flexible and calm

We changed our wedding plans about 6 times with the covid pandemic, changing our 200 person wedding to a 40 person outdoor backyard wedding and Holly was super flexible and went along with our crazy plans! She was calm the entire wedding and made everyone feel comfortable, no screaming to get people into place! Fantastic photos

Our photos are so wonderful!

We knew we wanted to hire Holly from the beginning of our wedding planning process...she had shot my sister-in-law's wedding so we knew she made great images and was super pleasant to have around on the big day. We're both awkward with photos so having someone we were comfortable with was important. Plus, we wanted more narrative photography to document the day and our friends and family, with very few posed shots. (Plus, I'm an art museum curator so I'm...extra picky about images.) Our resulting photos are SO great. We couldn't be happier with them, and all our friends and family have been gushing over them as well.

Holly is the best!!!

Holly was wonderful to work with. We picked her because we liked her photography style but were sold by her personality. She is just plain nice.
On the day of our wedding, Holly was prompt, flexible and fun! It was so easy to work with her. When we weren’t doing formal portraits, you didn’t even realize she was there but she caught so many beautiful moments. Our pictures are amazing. Clean, crisp, but not overly photoshopped like a lot of people do these days. I honestly cried when I saw them, they are stunning. Holly was able to capture all the excitement and beauty of our special day perfectly. I am so glad we had Holly as part of our wedding day team, she was fabulous.

Quick and Flexible

Holly was amazing to work with! She clearly has an eye for beauty as she always found the perfect place to take photos everywhere we went. I had proofs within two weeks of my wedding and had a USB mailed to me in a beautiful keepsake box within three. She is well worth the price!

The BEST Photographer!

We booked Holly last year and she did our engagement photos and most recently our wedding photos on 09/15/18. Holly makes the entire process easy the moment you book with her. She is very professional and so friendly! My husband and I sometimes feel awkward with pictures and she made us feel like we could be ourselves and made suggestions that worked for us! We have all of our final photos and they all turned out perfect! Holly was the photographer for my friends wedding in 2016 and she has been recommended throughout our friend group ever since. I wouldn't recommend anyone else! You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic photographer!

Holly was fantastic! She assisted us with figuring out our timeline for the day, and with her honest opinions we decided to do a "first look", which became our favorite part of the day and helped us to feel calm for the ceremony. She was punctual and professional, and wasn't "in your face" like many photographers can be to get that must-have shot. We never had to provide her with a list of shots we wanted-she just kind of knew where to be and when. A lot of my family members didn't even realize she was still at the reception! She moved efficiently through the room and was able to get gorgeous pictures that really captured peoples' emotions. Our photos came back to us edited in less than 6 weeks! We couldn't be happier with Green Holly Photography!

Holly’s photography caught my eye while I was searching for wedding photographers online. Photos were basically my only top priority and something I was picky about. I immediately fell in love with her photography. Very creative, and captured moments. So, I booked her!
Having Holly as our wedding photographer was so awesome! She was very responsive to emails and calls, and very nice. She was up for a fun engagement photo shoot and captured amazing photos during our wedding day. She was very calm, funny and directive.
My grandmother couldn’t attend our wedding due to age/health; Holly was very patient and professional and waited for my grandmother to wake up on the morning so I could have some pictures with her. I’m sure Holly was running a bit late waiting for her, but she was game. I’m so great full for those pictures that Holly took of my grandmother and I, she passed away a few weeks ago, and those pictures remind me of how sweet and precious grandparents are.
Very laid back person to work with, very talented! Funny and professional. I love every single photo she took! I highly recommend her!!

We were SO HAPPY with Holly! She was very friendly and professional and down to earth. I feel like we searched for- and met with- many photographers and we definitely made the right choice. The wedding photography was probably the most important vendor to us as we know our pictures are what we will have to look back years later and remember the day. We wanted high quality photos but did not want to spend the outrageous price that some photographers charge. Holly did just this. We went with the package that offered the 2nd photographer (Kim). Holly and Kim made us and our whole wedding party very comfortable in front of the camera. The sneak peek of the photos we have seen so far are outstanding! She is an exceptional photographer. Holly was absolutely amazing to work with on our wedding day! Everyone at the wedding commented on how sweet and personable our photographer was. I was able to completely trust her and let go of being in total control (which was a nice feeling after planning for 1.5 years. I have never felt more confident and beautiful in front of the camera and Holly knew exactly which poses to do. I didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable at all the entire day, which says a lot from me! Also, during the reception I completely forgot that she was there. I was able to enjoy the entire night without thinking "I am so sick of taking photos". We were beyond thrilled with our collection of wedding photos from Green Holly Weddings. She completely captured what we were feeling... how does she do that?! She is laid back and sweet, and at the same time, very dedicated and on task. The value (pricing) of her services in relation to what you get is amazing. We had Holly do our wedding and it was a joy from start to finish. Holly is professional, fun, approachable and incredibly good at what she does. For the excellent photos she takes, you can NOT beat her services for the value. During the service, reception and everything in between, she blended seamlessly into the background; Holly knows that the day is about you and your loved-ones -- not about the photographer showing everyone up and making a scene. We hired Holly as our wedding photographer and couldn't be happier! She is super personable and easy to get along with. She is also super talented. We could not be happier with our experience with Holly. Holly shot both our engagement session and our wedding photography. Our pictures from both sessions are gorgeous! I cannot stress the importance of hiring a professional photographer if pictures from the day are valuable to you. Holly was absolutely amazing. The quality of our photos is superb- she is so talented. She is so easy to work with, and really did a fantastic job of capturing the entire day. She helped me put together a timeline for the day so we could stay on schedule and had me put together a shot list so we made sure not to miss anything. She was on time and stayed the full eight hours, ensuring that we got everything we wanted before she left. The best part is that she is completely affordable and the picture quality is so much better than other photographers I've seen.

I don't even know where to begin! Holly is absolutely incredible - as a person and at her craft. She exceeded every single one of my expectations. She is sweet, warm and friendly, incredibly accommodating and responsive (we had a venue change and timeline change), has an eye for beautiful shots, and she is completely unobtrusive! I have heard some horror stories about friends' and families' wedding photographers interrupting conversations with guests and constantly pulling the bride and groom away to get "this amazing shot." Holly somehow managed to capture all of the beautiful shots and candid moments without us even knowing she was there! For a couple who is camera shy, I can't tell you how anxiety-relieving this was!

The value of all of the services Holly provides is mind-blowing. Within 10 days of our wedding, she provided an online link to our entire photo collection. I don't know how she does it. With so many weddings, engagement sessions, etc., she still makes each one of her clients a priority. Holly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Photography is probably one of the most important parts of wedding planning, at least it was to me! I wanted to have the best quality photography, but my husband and I were on a very tight budget. I could not believe the prices of Green Holly Weddings photography! Their work was so beautiful, yet so affordable. It fit perfectly into my budget.

Green Holly Weddings made me feel so special on my wedding day. They were able to capture an image of my dress, rings, shoes and of course me in my gown. I loved the shots that they took of me and my family. They really captured every moment perfectly.

I got the photos back quickly, actually faster than I expected. I am beyond shocked at how amazing they turned out. I have to thank Green Holly Weddings for making my wedding the best day ever! I would recommend them to all of the bridal parties out there.

I used Green Holly Weddings for my wedding photography - wow, SO happy I decided to go with them. As we all know when planning a wedding, there are hundreds of photographers to choose from; it gets extremely confusing to find the perfect one. I've heard horror stories about wedding photography gone bad. When I contacted Green Holly Weddings, I just knew right away that they would deliver what they promised. They were very professional and understanding on the phone, making me feel extremely comfortable.

As for the actual photographer at the wedding.. There are no words. She absolutely blew us all away. Best part was, she wasn't too obtrusive at all, yet took fantastic pictures from a distance. She was extremely kind and considerate, and made sure to capture every special moment.

I would highly recommend Green Holly Weddings for your photography needs.

My husband and I were exceptionally pleased with Holly and how our wedding and engagement photographs turned out! From the very beginning she was friendly and professional. She shot our engagement photos in 2013 and that's where she began to impress. It was quite a windy day, and I was terribly worried about how they would turn out. But when we received them back, they were perfect! I don't know how she did it! As for our wedding day, she was discreet and efficient, and when we received our final shots, we relived every second of the day. She didn't miss a single thing! They are so fun to look at! She truly captured the beauty of our day, and we are so happy and thankful for Holly.

If you are looking for a laid back, calm, knowledgeable, and happy photographer, look no further! Holly was amazing to work with for both our engagement session and our wedding. We learned her style and she learned ours at the engagement session, and at the wedding she really made it so easy and fun to take pictures. We had a blast and our pictures turned out better than I could have imagined. The posed pictures are fantastic and the candid shots are what made us fall in love with her work!

Holly is very professional and has great suggestions that really help make the photos. She will let you know when your necklace is crooked and when the pose looks awkward and has just the right thing to say to help fix it. Our whole bridal party loved working with Holly! It was fantastic service for a fantastic price and you will not be disappointed!

Although we have not received our photos yet, I am certain they are going to be absolutely gorgeous! (The sneak peak pictures that were posted were perfect.) Holly was simply amazing. Very knowledgeable, professional, creative, and just an all around kind hearted individual. We found Holly on weddingwire.com. Her personal website stood on its own. When meeting with her she was extremely flexible and more than willing to met us in a central location. Holly suggested that I write a list of photos that I wanted to capture on the big day to ensure they weren't forgotten during all the madness. The price was by far the best I've seen for the quality and value of the package. I would recommend her services to anyone.

My husband was slightly nervous about taking pictures on our wedding day - he didn't want them to look too posed or awkward. He had nothing to worry about because Holly was awesome! She was very professional, easy going, and not intrusive at all. It was very easy to just be ourselves and enjoy our day without feeling the pressure of a "photo shoot" - and our pictures came out amazing! My Husband and I were just married a couple weeks ago, and I was very anxious to see the final product of our photos. Holly had the proofs online and ready to be viewed in about 10-12 days from the wedding. Everyone that attended our wedding loved Holly, she was so personable and friendly! My boss sat by here during dinner and just raved how fabulous she was, and that she was taking photos the entire time. Her work is amazing, her portfolio does not do her work justice.She managed to capture all the special moments and then some, and she really listens to what you want.

I do not have enough to say about how great Green Holly Weddings photography is! Holly is not only so sweet but she has a great eye for photography. She was professional and personable. Holly took pictures at both our ceremony and reception (as well as our engagement pictures). Now, I have only seen the teasers for our wedding pictures, but they were so beautiful. Holly took about 200 pictures for our engagement pictures and every single one is one that I would hang on the wall! I would highly recommend Green Holly Weddings!!!

Holly was the most perfect wedding photographer. She had lots of great ideas for pictures and listened to our ideas as well. She was so patient and nice with our large wedding party. Holly was amazing from the time that I contacted her. She was the most responsive vendor that I had and she went above and beyond her duties. She is the dream photographer. Holly did such an amazing job and was absoulutely great to work with. The day of our wedding the weather did not cooperate at all. It downpoured. Holly was able to still get some great pictures of us outside while underneath an awning and you would never know unless you were there. She took so many great pictures throughout the night and we honestly almost didn't know she was there most of the time. She just captures it all. Holly responds very quickly to any questions you have and we had our USB drive with our pictures (which comes in this awesome case) within a couple weeks of our wedding. And considering what other photographers charge and what you get with Holly, you can't beat the price. I would definitely recommend Holly to anyone looking for a professional photographer.

Green Holly Weddings truly made my wedding a wonderful memory, one that I will remember for years to come. I'm more than happy with "Green Holly Weddings" work, it was so much better than expected! I mean, everyone knows wedding photography can cost thousands of dollars, and when i seen how cheap Holly's work was, i was a bit skeptical, especially since she had so much experience!

However the wedding photos turned out amazing, EVERY photo was top quality, and I'm very pleased i chose the company i did.

We were handled with great care, and you could tell Holly was bursting with experience and charisma. We got our photos after a few weeks, and that's all i could ask for. I'm more than satisfied with her work and would definitely recommend her to anyone who is having a wedding.

For a long time, I was looking for a good photographer for my wedding and then I came across Green Holly Weddings photographers. Holly had a lot of experience in her work and that makes me to trust in them. They've captured all our wedding moments in such a way that all pictures are looking like portfolios. I couldn't thank Holly enough for the work she did on my wedding day. I've never worked with a photographer before, so I was a little nervous and camera-shy at the idea of someone running around my wedding, snapping pictures. Turns out my fears were unfounded! Holly was a pleasure to work with from the start. I barely even noticed her for much of the wedding... but when I did, it was because she was being friendly with my family or friends. That meant so much to me, especially on that day where I wanted nothing to go wrong. Both my husband Jake and I were so pleased.

And the pictures themselves? I can't get enough of them. My family and friends were stunned. There's a real quality, a creativity to them, that you don't see everywhere else. She has a fantastic eye! Holly does such amazing work with color and light, our photos look like something straight out of a magazine. She was so pleasant, efficient, professional, and considerate. Holly was wonderful! We could not have asked for a better photographer. She was able to help us with engagement pictures on relatively short notice because we were coming from out of state and sent us our disc within 2 weeks! For our wedding, she verified the time a few days before (even thought it was on the contract) to make sure that there weren't any last minute changes, when she arrived she was dressed very nicely and remembered to ask our church contact what the rules were during the ceremony. She took all of the pictures we could want and captured wonderful moments without question. My pictures were ready for review 9 days after our wedding which I loved since my family hasn't sent me many pictures of it! Very professional and tasteful, I would recommend her to anyone!

We hired Holly for our wedding August of 2011, and we are very happy with the results. Before the wedding, she was very easy to communicate with and had good suggestions on how to schedule the bride/groom and family photos, etc. On the wedding day, we barely even noticed that she was there. We just got the pictures back last week, and they’re just perfect. Great photos of the ceremony, individuals, great smiles, dancing, and great action shots during the bouquet toss. She really captured the people, events, and feelings of the day in a way that looks natural (and all for a very reasonable price).

Holly was beyond fantastic. I didn't even NOTICE her until we took portraits after the ceremony but we got every picture we needed, wanted, and didn't even know we wanted!

Couldn't have had a better experience. Would recommend her to anyone for anything.

She was very unobtrusive. She took her time and didn't rush us, she stood out of the way, and did everything our wedding planner could have asked of her. She took great candids and when it was time for the formal photos she set everyone up very well and very quickly without making it look too posed!

We were extremely pleased with the work that Holly did in photographing our wedding. We met with her about a year in advance to go over her work and then book her. I know that she does a lot of work and is very busy, so it would sometimes take a day or two to get a response, but she always came through for us. On the day of, she was on time and ready to go from the start. I really appreciated her professionalism and willingness to work with the natural scenery around us to capture the springtime flowers in our photos. We had hundreds of great photos to choose from and were even more pleased to receive a flashdrive in a custom case that commemorated that day. Thanks for a great job!

This is long overdue, but I've been away from WW for awhile. Holly was amazing, and I really don't think we could have picked a better photographer for our big day! We had so many guests comment on how they never really saw or heard her clicking away, but we had over 1000 edited photos that were stunning- so I guess she was there! She also did an engagement shoot for us about a month before the wedding, and those photos turned out great as well, as we got to know each other better. I would definitely recommend her to any friend (and I have!). Thank you so much Holly!!

Would highly recommend!

Holly was our wedding photographer for our October 2020 wedding, and we couldn't have been happier with our decision. When we met in 2019, she was able to help us build a timeline for our day... and was able to do all of that again for us when our plans changed. She was flexible to our change in venue and timeline, and followed all COVID safety precautions (we're nurses so this was important to us!). Our photos and albums turned out beautiful, and we received them fairly quickly. If you are looking for timeless and natural wedding photos, Holly is your photographer!

Wonderful Photographer

Holly worked with my husband and I for our engagement photos and wedding day photos. She was organized, professional, and down to Earth. My husband and I are not ones to usually take a lot of photos and Holly made the whole experience feel really natural. Highly recommend.

Great photographer!

I knew I wanted Holly to photograph our wedding from the moment I met her! After looking through her sample books and walking through the day I envisioned with her, I felt comfortable booking with her. She wasn't the cheapest photographer around, but photos were important to me and I didn't want to take a chance on someone else just because he/she was cheaper. I did meet with other photographers, but Holly's professionalism and work impressed me. I would recommend, though, telling her specifically what photos you want/expect from your big day. Looking back, there are a few photos I wish I had (she didn't get any pictures of me and my mom, no pictures of the bar my dad built for the reception, and I had asked for photos in a certain location at our venue which never happened), so I would just say make sure that if there is something you want, tell her. She is a little bit hard to get a hold of, though. Overall, though, our photos are beautiful and she definitely captured some wonderful moments from that day. She does not provide any prints or books- all the pictures she takes are provided to you on a flash drive in a cute little box. We have yet to print any pictures, but still have fun looking through them all.

Holly was great to work with! Being out of state planning my wedding can get stressful but, she made it easy and would work with us during her busy schedule to meet while back in Michigan. I found Green Holly Weddings by doing a simple Google search and her professional website and beautiful work caught my attention. After talking with Holly a few times and meeting her in person, I was beyond excited to have her booked for our wedding.

Our wedding day could not have been any more perfect and Holly captured so many memories that we will cherish the rest of our lives. The whole day she just blended into the scene and let us be "us".

The best part of all is that we have over 900 AMAZING photographs to choose from and we didn't have to break the bank to get them. Holly took the most wonderful photos of our wedding. They were classic yet modern and creative, just like I had envisioned. After the wedding Holly put the photos in an online gallery I could share with family and friends, and also sent us a personalized flash drive in a wooden box with our picture on the front, holding copies of all our photos. A wonderful experience! The only suggestion I have for improvement would be if Holly could give a list before hand of items she would be photographing like rings and invitations- maybe this is obvious to most people but I did not bring an invitation to the location we took photos at, and I had to send someone to get the rings from the groomsmen. Overall though a great experience!

Beyond our expectations!

We are so happy we chose Holly for our wedding! After talking to her on the phone and meeting her at our engagement shoot, I appreciated how laid back she is yet so supportive and knowledgeable. My husband and I are pretty low-key so we loved that she matched our calm energy. On our wedding day, she was detail-oriented, professional, and friendly to all of our guests and bridal party. She had so many great ideas and was flexible and accommodated what we wanted to focus our time on throughout the day. The second shooter she brought in, Jay, was wonderful as well! Holly captured our day better than we could have imagined. We got over 2,000 beautiful images to help us relive our day and share with friends and family. We got so many compliments that ours are the best wedding photos they’ve ever seen! Thank you Holly!!

Great photographer!

We are very thankful that we chose Holly for our engagement and wedding photos. She was easy and pleasant to work with, made us both feel comfortable, and the photos came out beautiful. She was also extremely helpful the day of our wedding. Afterwards she even sent us a cute little wooden box with one of our favorite photos printed on the lid.
