  Perfect venue for a warm, rustic and romantic wedding

  Perfect wedding day! The venue was beautiful and easily accommodated all of my guests. The owner, Christi, is easy to work with and works hard to make the day what you invisioned. Highly recommend as a wedding venue.

  Best Day Ever!

  We were so happy we chose Green Gables Farm! They required a month-of coordinator, and we were so happy they did. Because we first saw the venue in the winter before our fall wedding, Susan let us come back to the venue in the summer to see everything in full bloom. The landscaping was beautiful, and the venue was spectacular! The pavilion fit our 90-100 guests perfectly with extra room on the dance floor. We had our ceremony on the lawn by the arbor. Our cocktail party was in the barn, and our reception was under the pavilion. It was so nice to have a separate space for our guests to go to before the actual reception so they weren't digging into the food or sitting in one place for too long. The farmhouse was plenty of space for our wedding party and families to hang out and get ready before the wedding. The upstairs was for the girls, and the downstairs was for the boys, completing blocked off so we never saw each other before we said "I do", which was what we were hoping for! We would absolutely do it all over again at Green Gables Farm!!

  a rainy wedding...

  Our May wedding at Green Gables was just beautiful, despite the rain!
  
  On the morning of our wedding day, the weather was every brides' worst nightmare for an outside wedding. However, Green Gables has back up plans that still give you the outdoor look you want, even when you're "inside." Due to weather, we had some tricky situations going on, but I never even knew about them! Susan and team were quick to solve problems and make sure I was kept calm, and unaware.
  
  The farmhouse on the property serves as the perfect place for a bridal party to get ready in and celebrate with friends and family before the ceremony. The pavilion is just beautiful and they have thought of every detail to make it a more enjoyable place to host a wedding. Susan was attentive to every question we had, leading up to the day of our wedding and on the day of.
  
  We got so many compliments on what a perfect place Green Gables was, and we couldn't agree more. I absolutely recommend Green Gables, because not only is the venue stunning, but the team of people is just wonderful to work with!

  OH MY GOODNESS!! Go with Green Gables Farms!! First off how cute is the name to this place. Second, not only is the name cute but every part of this venue (Farm house, barn, pavilion, grounds, sky, gravel road driving in, etc.) are literally so beautiful. My husband and I researched over 75 venues, visited 10 and decided on Green Gables Farm. That was because of the beauty, price for what you are getting, and Susan the owner made us feel so comfortable and at ease. From the moment we met I felt like we knew her and she treated us like we were family. She answered every single question with a quick response and helped in away way possible to make our day what we envisioned. Our wedding day was perfect and the backdrop was stunning. It did rain on our wedding day, but picking green gables farm makes choosing to have an outside wedding an easy. The pavilion to cover you if it rains is not a plan B but plan A for the reception and that just put me at ease. I did not check the weather the last week leading into the wedding because it did not matter. Even with the rain everything turned out perfectly, more then we could have asked because we even got a rainbow on our day! I can not say enough about this venue and would tell anyone to have their wedding here!!

  We looked at several venues, but we both knew from the time we pulled in the driveway that this was where we are going to get married! It is VERY easy to find - less than 5 minutes from I-40. We liked that it will be easy to direct our guests to but also feels secluded and private. It also can easily accommodate a large group of people (200+) and have plenty of covered space for everyone if it rains. The pictures don't do the property justice. The tree-lined drive is beautiful and I'm sure our guests will be impressed from the moment they pull in. The pastures surrounding the drive have horses, a donkey, and a few goats (who are super friendly and all love a good head scratch if you walk to the fence)! There is a beautiful farmhouse for the wedding party to get ready in with plenty of space for all. The ceremony site is on the lawn behind the farmhouse and is surrounded by several beautiful 200 yr old oak trees. It is a very short walk from the outdoor ceremony site to the barn and Pavilion for the cocktail hour/reception. The barn is smaller but has beautiful lighting and would be perfect for a cocktail hour. The Pavilion is GORGEOUS and open but can be completely enclosed if necessary. The bathrooms are easily accessible, very nice, and clean. The parking area is a short, easy walk but kind of hidden so it is not in your pictures.
  
  So far, Susan has been great to work with! She is very friendly and quick to answer any question I have. The responsibilities and policies are very clearly outlined. You do have to use one of their 3 preferred caterers which I have not had taste testings with yet but they seem to have a variety of food options at any price point. You are responsible for set up and break down all the same day, but this will not be a problem for us as we have lots of family that would be doing that anyway even if it weren't required.
  
  We are so excited and look forward to our big day at this beautiful farm! Definitely worth it for the price!

  As the mother of the bride, I accompanied my daughter and her husband to be as they looked at venues. After she saw Green Gables she said, "I don't want to look anywhere else," and we knew she had found her dream wedding location. She wanted a rustic mountain feel, a beautiful outdoor spot for the ceremony, and an option for rainy weather. Green Gables provides all of this. The pavilion is gorgeous, with wood beams, bark trim and stone. We did not feel the need to do alot of decorating aside from lanterns and greenery because it is "rustic elegant" on its own. The night of the wedding there was a wonderful ambiance there. We used the barn for games and a photo booth. It was fun to have that space as well. Lots of green space for children to run around too. Restrooms are easily accessible, as is parking, and the farmhouse is spacious and convenient for all the preparations. Susan was so easy and pleasant to work with, and gave us many helpful ideas and recommendations as we were not familiar with the Statesville area. Elegant and Classy Rentals works with Susan to provide planning for the last month, as well as rentals and we loved working with Sommer and Nicole. This was truly the perfect magical place for our daughter's wedding.

  You will not find two more caring and responsive people to help you make your dream wedding come true. Susan always had a quick response to all of my correspondence. Cecil had the property in top shape (as he always did!). They are so very helpful and welcoming; we felt as though we were family.
  
  The property is beautiful and magical. All of our guests understood why we wanted to be married at the location we choose when they turned down the drive. Everyone is stil complimenting us on our venue.

Another great thing was you had the whole farm all to yourself the whole day of your wedding and also a very nice house on the farm to get ready in!   We booked this venue for our September wedding and we can't wait! The entrance into the farm is beautiful and the pavilion is gorgeous! The lawn in front of the Oak tree where you can have your ceremony is amazing! Susan is great to work with! I definitely recommend this place!

  The owners have been wonderful to work with & the venue is absolutely beautiful! You get a farmhouse, barn & pavilion all in one great location! We are getting married here in September 2015 and can't wait! I love that the ceremony & reception can be in one location, but in different areas! We had our engagement pictures made here and we had free reign of the farm! It's very easy to get to & you have your own secluded space, but you are within minutes to hotels, restaurants, etc. I fell in love as we entered the gates!

Fortunately, on my wedding day it didn't rain, but it was very hot. However, the venue pavilion was cool because of the beautiful high-ceiling fans. The bathrooms are unique, clean, and ornate for an outdoor pavilion and helped create a wonderful environment for restrooms. The pavilion is in a league of its own. I know the owners built the buildings and designed it in mine to hold large or small groups of people!

  The venue is absolutely fabulous. I had my rehearsal dinner here in the fall of 2013. The scenery and background were phenomenal. We did get a little rain, but that did not put a damper on the good time had by all! I highly recommend this location!!

  Deciding to use Green Gables Farms as our wedding venue was a decision that we have never regretted. From the very beginning when we toured the venue, to wedding planning for over a year, to our wedding day, the venue met and surpassed all expectations. The owners and the event planners at the venue work very hard to ensure that your needs and comfort are placed above all. If you are looking for a elegant, outdoor, southern wedding then this is the venue for you. This is where southern hospitality meets professionalism.

  Deciding to use Green Gables Farms as our wedding venue was a decision that we have never regretted. From the very beginning when we toured the venue, to wedding planning for over a year, to our wedding day, the venue met and surpassed all expectations. The owners and the event planners at the venue work very hard to ensure that your needs and comfort are placed above all.   I used this venue to get married on 10/10/15. Overall the wedding turned out beautiful, however; there are always pros and cons with every vendor/event. Below are the pros and cons as they relate to Green Gables Farm and no other vendor that was hired that day.
  
  Overall the location was beautiful and well maintained but lacked in so many other areas that would make me reconsider other options based on how much you spend.
  
  Pros:
  *The venue came with the use of a house/barn and pavilion
  *Grounds were maintained and a beautiful setting for a wedding
  
  Cons:
  * Although the owner is friendly, do not expect her to give you a hand with anything other than the issues with the property itself - Examples include - last minute set up; helping guests with strollers; or any of the tiny little tasks you could use an extra hand with everything else going on.
  
  * Removal of Belongings - The last thing anyone who is getting married wants to deal with on their wedding night is making sure the tables/chairs/linen and any decorations are broken down and removed from the property - Even though she did not have an event planned the next day but even if she did, allowing things to sit overnight until even 9 am the next morning would have been nice. Instead everyone being mostly drunk was required to break down the entire event. Naturally this point when everyone is drunk and working tends to make the perfect environment for a minor family fight to break out when things don't go to plan. Luckily the catering company we hired realized this was not an appropriate way to spend your wedding night and was happy to help where they could.
  
  *Trash - At the end of the night we found out that they did not even have a dumpster on sight and all garbage had to be removed from the property! Talk about spending tens of thousands of dollars for an event and at the end of the night sharing your car with your significant other and uncle bobs left over meal - talk about romantic!
