This was by far the easiest and most responsive venue we worked with! They made the process so easy and helped us through every step! They supported our decision making process and helped us make educated decisions based on what was available! They work with a lot of local vendors and have great relationships with them! The staff is amazing and involved in the process! They offer help and “let me do that for you.” This truly was a worry free process for us! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We’ll be back for something!!! -

I can't describe how amazing our wedding was at Greate Bay. Everyone was raving about the cocktail hour and new renovations. Sharon was beyond incredible during our wedding process considering we had to move our date because of Covid. She is super flexible and is willing to work with you to make your wedding the best day ever. 10/10 recommend Sharon & Greate Bay. -

Greate Bay gave us a flawless wedding reception. Every detail felt so personal, and they made me feel like I was their top priority in the middle of the busy wedding season (Saturday wedding in mid-September). Sharon went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and gave tasteful advice, and Morgan made sure my husband and I enjoyed every second of our reception. I cannot say enough about how pleased we are with the service and professionalism we experienced at Greate Bay. They surpassed every expectation we had, and our guests are still raving about the high quality of food and service provided. We are forever grateful for their expertise! It was perfect! -

Outstanding Service from start to finish!
Greate Bay’s outstanding service and attention to detail along with the delicious food made our daughters wedding absolutely perfect! It was at the Ocean City Yacht Club which was the perfect setting. The rehearsal dinner was at the GB Country Club and was also outstanding! Highly recommend for all occasions! -

Sharon, Tammy and the entire Greate Bay Country Club staff gave us the wedding of our dreams! From the day of booking the Ocean City Yacht Club to the day of the wedding, Sharon made everything run smoothly and ensured no detail was overlooked! We planned the wedding from Virginia, and Sharon was prompt in responding to all emails and questions. The wedding day was flawless - the entire venue was set up beautifully, the staff were so kind and attentive to our guests, and all of our attendees continue to mention how exquisite the food was! The location is great, but the staff truly made the wedding exceptional! Sharon and Tammy stayed during the wedding to ensure everything ran smoothly - both came up to my husband and I several times throughout the night to ensure the event was meeting our expectations (food, drinks, etc.). While we were talking to guests, they brought us our drinks so we did not have to wait at the bar! I highly recommend you booking Ocean City Yacht Club for your wedding - we will certainly have to book again in the next few decades for our wedding vowel renewal! Thank you again to Sharon, Tammy and the entire Greate Bay staff for exceeding our expectations for our wedding day! -

My husband and I decided to get married in less than 3 months. With that said, you can imagine the crunch time we had. When we walked into Greate Bay just to look at the venue, Sharon greeted us. She gave us an impromptu tour, and it felt just right. So right that we pulled up to the next venue, and I didn’t even get out of the car. I knew Greate Bay was it! Sharon and Tammy were amazing! Like I said, we had a time crunch, and they made each and every detail so perfect. I wanted a simple and elegant wedding! They made my vision a reality! Our guests raved about how it was one of, if not, the best weddings they’ve been to. My goal was to have great food, cold drinks, and lots of dancing, and we had just that! -

Best Day Ever!!
We had the BEST DAY EVER with Greate Bay Country Club. My husband and I had our reception at the Ocean City Yacht Club on Sept 8th and it was truly magical. The food, service, and venue were absolutely amazing. My guests still rave about the lamb chops during cocktail hour! We loved working with Greate Bay - highly highly recommend. Sharon Ireland & Megan Elbana were extremely accommodating. We loved working with both of them! They made our wedding flawless. -

When a venue fell through for my daughter's May, 2018 wedding five months before the date, Greate Bay, with the assistance of the wonderful Sharon Ireland, came through to save the day! Greate Bay has taken over the Ocean City, NJ Yacht Club as a venue and helped us give our daughter and son-in-law the wedding of their dreams. Highly, highly recommended! -

“Greate” Experience
My wedding was on October 6th 2018, and can I say that Greate Bay was awesome. Everyone raved about the venu and how great the food was as well as how everything turned out. Sharon helped me so much especially since I was planning this wedding from out of town. She was easy to reach and always answered every question. Their staff their is amazing I was waited on hand and foot but the waiting staff I always had what I wanted and never had an empty drink. The place is beautiful and using the bridal suite and locker rooms made getting ready so much easier. My ceremony was even held on the beach and they did everything to make sure it turned out exactly how I evvisioned it. Overall, I would recommend greate bay to anyone who is planning on getting married! -

Had our wedding on 10/13/18 and hands down the best day of our lives. Beautiful venue, lots of indoor/outdoors space, and best of all, responsive staff (we didn't even need to hire a wedding planner!) answered all our calls, emails within 24 hours. This was very important as we were mostly planning this wedding remotely, living about 3-4 hours away from the venue. This place has one of the most competitive all-inclusive packages we have seen in terms of ceremony, decorations, cake, premium open bar, tons of included appetizers during cocktail hour plus we received special discounts for booking late on a date that happened to be open! All of this inclusive without sacrificing quality. We were even able to throw in a custom made ice sculpture for a very reasonable price, which they lighted beautifully during our cocktail hour. Also their recommended DJ was phenomenal and the venue was also very accommodating to our 2 videographers and 2 photographers who all arrived a little early to take some first look photos. Can't wait to post pics, it was truly a beautiful day. -
Julie Sent on 09/24/2018Wow, Greate Bay made our wedding everything we ever dreamed of, and everything flowed seamlessly without a lot of work on our end. We got married on the 48th Street Beach in Ocean City, Greate Bay set up the whole thing and it was so beautiful, beyond what we could have imagined. Sharon was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and returned all of my phone calls promptly with any questions, no matter how ridiculous they were in retrospect. They set up everything day of from place cards, table numbers and memory table with no instruction and it turned out beautifully. The food was delicious and everyone had a great time dancing the night away. Spectacular wedding, great staff, great value!

Shannon Sent on 12/31/2017My wedding was on August 12, 2017. Greate Bay went above and beyond to make sure everything was just perfect. The made planning so easy from beginning to end they were always there to answer any questions we had.
My bridal got ready in their bridal suite which worked out perfect as it poured all morning long. Throughout the time we were in getting ready they always checked on us to see if we needed anything and Everyone kept assuring us that it would all work out perfect and to now worry about the rain. It stopped 2 hours before we were set to be married and it never looked like it rained it turned out to be the perfect day, the sun came out and everything.
I made most of the stuff for our wedding decorations and the added touches they put to it and how they arranged it all was just how I envisioned it. The food was amazing from cocktail hour to our sit down dinner to the desserts that we had along with our cake. All the staff was amazing and i would highly recommend having an event at Greate Bay! -

Joari Sent on 12/31/2017Greate Bay Country Club at Somers Point NJ was fenomenal. They really went out of their way to help and make sure our special day became a dream come true. From Sharon helping us organize the menu, fabric, and scheduling. To recommending cake chef Irene, who not only made a good looking cake but the best tasting one. Tammy did wonders decorating the beautiful place. Even the Executive Chef, Jack, helped with the food tasting and making sure we had the best of the best and absolutely everything we desired. They also recommend the DJ which was a fantastic host and spoke both languages for our guest. They also referred us to great photographers, both photographers took gorgeous pictures and caught every stunning moment. We organized transportation for our guest with them as well. We were able to make sure our guest got to wedding location & back home with the jitneys they reserved for us. The entire staff at Greate Bay really went out of their way to make us feel truly special.

Penni Sent on 12/30/2017My husband and I interviewed several venues for our June 2017 wedding. After meeting with Sharon and learning what Greate Bay provided for the money, it wasn’t a difficult decision and we were not disappointed! She and her staff were very professional and friendly, Tammy was a wonderful help with our decor, and Irene made the best wedding cake we ever tasted! Our day literally flew by and we couldn’t have been more pleased.
It was pouring down rain at 9:00am and they were prepared to move us indoors for our planned for outdoor nuptials for our 11:30am ceremony. Not only did it clear up, but it ended up being gorgeous and it went off without a hitch (except for us :) The staff saw to it that the chairs were dry and you never would have guessed earlier it seemed as if it were monsoon season.
Again, we are thrilled with our decision to go with Greate Bay and if given the choice, would absolutely choose Greate Bay without a doubt.

Nicole Sent on 10/31/2017Greate bay was the best choice we could have picked for our wedding. Out of all the venues it was the best package for the right price. Everything from the actual County Club to the whole staff was beyond amazing! Sharon and tammy were exceptionally wonderful to work with throughout the whole wedding planning process. They were very accommodating to everything we needed. We had our ceremony out by the gazebo with the most perfect view:) All of guest can't stop raving about how delish all the food was especially the Prime rib!! The ballroom was very spacious and had the most elegant chandelier ever. Hands down I would recommend this venue to all the newly engaged brides out there!

Everyone complimented on how beautiful everything looked as well as how good the food was. We had the bar blocked off downstairs for an after party and the staff was fast and efficient with such a large party. The staff was so friendly. I wouldn't have wanted our wedding anywhere else . -

Ashley Sent on 10/27/2015Amazing venue! We had wanted to get married outside, but of course a hurricane decided to join the day of the wedding. Even with the last minute move to inside, everything turned out fantastic. The staff the day of was amazingly attentive to the guest and the bridal party the entire day. Family and friends are still talking about how wonderful the staff was and how great the food was. Sharron was amazing throughout the how process whether it was meeting in person, an email, or a phone call. She was always helpful and professional. -

Courtney Sent on 10/31/2010Greate Bay is the perfect location for a reception. It had a little bit of everything...water/gazebo, greens, a patio, great ballroom, and a full service bar. Think about all the weddings where you have to stand in line in a corner of the room for a drink. They have a full rectangle bar that allows guests to mingle and get served without the lines. The food was the best food I've ever had at a wedding. The staff was incredibly helpful, fun, and personable. I literally have nothing to criticize! AMAZING! -

When I saw the venue the first time I told my husband we had to choose it. I loved the ballroom and we were able to have a wonderful fall themed wedding. Sharon was very helpful and professional along with the staff and the food was delicious. -

Greate Bay is such a perfect place for a wedding! The grounds were beautiful, the staff so accommodating, and the food was superb. For the price, this place really exceeded my expectations. -

Ashley Sent on 06/05/2018Our wedding at Greate Bay was amazing! I expected that planning from out-of-state would be stressful, but Sharon helped make the process very easy. On the day of the wedding, it was raining on and off all day, but we really wanted an outdoor ceremony. The GM was hesitant to have all the chairs set up in the wet grass, but reluctantly agreed. It ended up drizzling during the ceremony, but it was still awesome and unforgettable. It was extra for all the additional labor to clear puddles and rainwater that had collected, but it was well worth it. I do wish Sharon would have talked to someone besides the bride about the money since I had already given the okay. It also would have been nice to know that they do not have spare golf umbrellas to borrow in the case of rain - some of our guests had to go purchase them from the pro shop since we did not know ahead of time.
The reception was beautiful!! Tammy and her team set up all the decor better than I could have imagined! The food here is OUTSTANDING! I had many guests tell me it was the best steak they had ever had at a wedding - and I agree! All-in-all I do think we made a great decision with Greate Bay and our wedding day was INCREDIBLE! -

Really a great experience and the people were very professional. The entire event and communication was spectacular. I would highly recommend The Greate Bay Country Club for any event.
As the out of town party we were treated as well as any 20 year members!

Ashley Sent on 10/07/2018Sharon was super helpful with answering questions when we would email her. The venue was gorgeous! We used the locker rooms to get ready during the morning and ordered food and wine- huge hit
Also the food was one of the best parts! Everyone raved on it, we enjoyed our taste tasting as well.
The employees were super helpful and friendly during the entire wedding. Location was fabulous and would highly recommend it -
