Brandon was such an awesome DJ and MC! He was so outgoing and fun! The crowd loved his energy and got so many on the dance floor! He made the Groom and I feel so comfortable and like he knew us so well throughout the entire experience. Brandon is honestly the best person ever. From the first day we met him, I was set on having him at our wedding, and it was the best choice we ever made. He was so easy to work with, and his personality is just truly amazing. He is one of the most genuine guys, and the amount of compliments we got made us so happy knowing we got someone so amazing. I told my fiancé multiple times how much I loved our DJ all throughout the reception. If you are debating on choosing Brandon, stop going back and forth and seal the deal with him. Brandon and I had met many years ago on a couple of occasions (as he was a bartender back then). Keep in mind, that was in my 20s and I am now 34 lol. We hadn’t seen each other since, but I still knew he was the one I wanted to dj our wedding. Yes, you read that right. After over ten years, I had him in mind because his personality and ability to multitask was that sensational. And I have to say, IM SO GLAD WE CHOSE HIM! His professionalism is simply unmatched. I was quite a nervous bride and emailed a couple times over minor changes and he always reassured my fears. The big day went off without a hitch and he was very hands on the entire day. The best choice we made - Hireing Great Beginnings DJ Service!
Brandon was so professional. Very organized before the wedding, planning and preparing for DJing 200 people. The time spent preparing, and the little details added into the day was fantastic. When glitches happened with food arriving late, he was such a great diversion, encouraging people to grab a drink, take time to take photos with the bride and groom. Plus, his advice to not focus on the negative (don't announce that the food is late) was so smart. People don't know anything is wrong, until you announce it! I just can't say enough, he was awesome. The dance floor was packed all night too! A great MC controlling the events, and making it fun!

Brandon was incredible to say the least! From set up to tear down, he had everything dialed in. All our music was cut right at the exact seconds we wanted, and he made sure our officiant was mic’d up properly and made sure we all knew what to do in case something went wrong with the sound (which it never did). He kept the party going all night, hyping up our guests and making sure the dance floor was packed! Overall, our wedding would not have gone nearly as well as it did without Brandon! Brandon was above and beyond all of our expectations. He went out of his way to ensure that my wife and I were well taken care of and that he molded specifically to fit our vision for the day. One of my favorite questions he asked us during interviews with DJs was "What year did you guys graduate high school?" so that he would have 4 years on either side of music he knew he could tap into. Another example of him going above and beyond: when my wife and I were cutting the cake, he ran across the room to ensure we had a napkin since the staff at our venue had forgotten to put one on the table. Not to mention he had the dance floor jam packed the entire evening.
Every step of the way he was a kind and polished professional. Anyone who is lucky enough to work with him on their wedding day will be left with fantastic memories from the night!

Fantastic DJ for Our Wedding Celebration
I had experienced Brandon’s DJ skills at a wedding 5 years ago and definitely remember it being a great wedding and active dance floor. Brandon did an amazing job for our reception, he seamlessly navigated having music playing at both our cocktail hour location and then our dinner and dance party in a separate hall. We gave him ideas and talked about the flow of our wedding in a couple of meetings prior to the event and he took general information we gave him and created a masterpiece of a wedding. Music is key in our book, and it was perfect. He was even able to play our obscure request for 60s French pop.
Not only is he masterful as arranging, but also a great MC and really helped our guests navigate our event.
We let him choose the final dance song and it was perfect, straight out of the wedding episode from The Office. He just knew us as a couple all from the music ideas we sent him.
From one couple to another we would absolutely recommend Brandon for your wedding!

We got married in April 2022 & our big priority for our wedding day was making sure everyone had a good time & was on the dance floor! Brandon went above & beyond to make sure we had a good time! Safe to say EVERYONE was on that dance floor!! He was amazing at reading the crowd & his attention to detail was incredible. One thing that struck out to me most was when our guest were giving toast, Brandon would play the most perfect song after each toast was given. His talent is more than what we hoped for. I have nothing but good things to say about Brandon & we are so happy he was there to help celebrate & make our wedding so memorable!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Brandon, and what an incredible DJ he is. I work as a wedding coordinator at a busy wedding venue, so I have seen countless DJs at weddings over the years. He will always be at your venue early with plenty of time to set up, with all the right equipment, plus back-up equipment just in case. We met Brandon as he Dj' ed at our friends wedding. We had to change venues and dates because of COVID and Brandon was able to make it work. Our venue was a large venue and spread out over multiple different areas, but Brandon didn't skip a beat. We gave him a vague overview of the type of music for dancing and he absolutely killed it and kept the party going. Brandon was amazing!! My one request was to get everyone on the dance floor, and he did! Everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves. I got so many compliments on the music. I will always refer people to Brandon. I also loved the questionnaire he gave me and my husband to fill out so he could get a vibe for our music. Brandon was a.m.a.z.i.n.g! Best in Portland and the surrounding areas, hands down. He was referred to us by friend who has attended several weddings he had DJed at, and came highly recommended. Brandon was immediately responsive to our initial contact via email, providing very detailed expectations for the wedding day, where all expectations were met (and then some!). We were able to meet for coffee with Brandon and he sat down and answered all of our questions. Brandon was able to travel out to Mt. Hood, OR and set up in three separate locations (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) and transitioned seamlessly between them. We had a tall order, and Brandon seriously delivered! Right before the ceremony, Brandon was able to double check the ceremony music with myself and my husband, which was a very nice touch. He even went so far as to help us orchestrate how to cut our wedding cake, when our venue's staff failed to step in. Seriously, this guy is coordinating EVERYTHING and always right on top of it. His DJing skills speak for themselves, as he is able to keep people on the dance floor, and played a variety of genres that we asked for (everything from the electric slide to country!). He even went so far as to check in with us for specific song requests to make sure it was okay to play them! He pays attention to what the people want to dance to and adapts quickly. An amazing man who is seriously passionate about DJing.

Hiring Brandon to DJ our wedding, was hands down the best decision we could have made!!!! He was crucial in the coordination of the wedding and reception. We hired Brandon to DJ our wedding reception. Let me tell you, If you are searching for a DJ look no further! We were so blessed to have him on our side as we celebrated our wedding, not sure what we would have done without him! Brandon took so many stresses off our plate by naturally introducing and helping us timeline every event of our reception. When speaking to Brandon he is very knowledgable and professional and he will tell you he comes prepared and always has a backup plan, which all was very reassuring to the me (the Bride)! We were so lucky to find Brandon, our original DJ had to cancel about 6 months before our NYE wedding. Luckily my incredible coordinator (Melissa, Griffin Event Management) found Brandon! He was so easy to work with, and did a great job talking with my husband, answering all his questions about when he would play what. The party was incredible, and Brandon really went above and beyond with the music, sound effects and lights. All my guests were raving about him all night, and are still telling me what a fantastic DJ we had! Thank you Brandon!

Wow! I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding with a fantastic DJ. Working with Brandon was so easy, seamless and fun.The most important thing that I truly valued with Brandon was his professionalism and eagerness to make our wedding one to remember. Brandon talked about how in order to get the crowd dancing, you have to play the right kind of music (the chicken dance is not the solution, a phenomenal DJ is the solution). With Brandon being our DJ, our guests danced until it was time to leave. Brandon was quick to add a drum kick during a funny line of a speech and add appropriate music to speeches. Brandon made sure that every single male and female were in place for the garter and boutique toss. Several months after the wedding our guests still talk about how much fun they had and how great the DJ was. From our grandparents to the kiddos, the music offered such a sweet variety that made our evening feel like I was a princess in a movie. Brandon listened to our requests during our meetings and emails and played the songs we wanted at the most appropriate times. He played requests without hesitation but also knew the right time to throw the song in the mix. I would recommend Brandon to anyone and everyone! I wish I could go back in time and enjoy our wedding again! Thank you, Brandon!

There is no one better than Brandon! Whatever your wants and needs are he will go above and beyond your dreams! While he is extremely professional he is also the life of the party making sure all your guests are having a fabulous time. His title should include a lot more than "DJ" because he was more like Superman at our wedding! He kept a great timeline and read our crowd so well there was never a dull moment! We also had a live band and he worked so well with them to make sure music and dancing was flowing smoothly. 3 weeks later I still am getting texts about how incredible our Dj was! We were lucky to have had him and cannot thank him enough for his outstanding service!

He was AMAZING! I was really worried because a DJ is such an important part to a wedding but I seriously could not have picked a better DJ. He was so accommodating and easy to get in touch with. I wanted my outdoor wedding come sun or rain and he made sure it would work. He kept me up to date on the timeline, which was really good as I had no sense of time during my reception! When I had a question for him he had a quick and easy answer. His pics for songs and the bridal party introductions were beyond perfect. And I know I did not give him the easiest jobs, the music my husband and I enjoy listening to usually aren't the most wedding appropriate but we gave him information on songs we liked and he managed to find the perfect songs. He also fully appreciated that I had my wedding party walk down the isle to enter sandman so what more can I say?

We received compliment after compliment on Brandon's music selections throughout the evening. Our crowd danced ALL NIGHT! We only met with him once to go over what types of music we didn't want played, and what our style was as a couple. He took it from there and ran with only a brief email re: ceremony notes to fill in the gaps.
Brandon provided sound for our ceremony and reception, and a mic for our officiant.
We are so grateful that we chose him to be a part of our day--he fit in so well with our other vendors to make our day completely seamless and absolutely unforgettable.

Brandon is an awesome DJ! Very professional, has great taste! Was great at getting crowd pumped up at all the right times. Got several people on the dance floor that wouldn't normally be dancing! Kept the flow going through out each event. Was there early to set up did more than we asked, met with us before the wedding to go over every detail. Had a good feel for what type of music we wanted and displayed that perfectly for our big day. My husband didn't really want to spend money on this and afterwards said he was so glad we did because our wedding would not of been as much. Our guest said several times this was the most fun wedding they've been to and said good our Dj was! Thank you Brandon!

We loved working with Brandon! He is so professional and we gave him all the reigns during our wedding. Other than selecting the main songs for our wedding, we let him do everything else and we're so happy with how our wedding went! I found Brandon through a mutual connection and we jumped right in. His reviews were amazing online and trust me, they are true! His ability to read the room and choose the right songs at the right moment allowed us to truly enjoy our time without worrying about the music selection. If you are thinking about hiring Brandon, don't even question it, just do it! He was absolutely AMAZING!! He helped keep our timeline on track, kept our guests entertained and was so good on the spot. We knew that one of our "can't go without's" was an awesome DJ and that was Brandon. Not only was he an awesome DJ but he was just great to work with in general. Brandon came up to Ryan, my now husband, and asked what he was drinking so that he could refill his glass for him, Ryan the morning after was still so surprised at his level of service not only as a DJ but just making sure we were doing good and that everything was running smoothly.
When I had hired Brandon, I told him I wanted to make sure our wedding was a party and boy did he make that happen! Everyone loved the music, and Brandon keep the dance floor full. Not only that, but he even got out and danced with us! I can't even count on two hands how many compliments and raves we received about our DJ.
Again, he was absolutely amazing!! I honestly don't think our wedding would have been such an awesome time if we didn't have him! Thank you Brandon, we will always recommend you to anyone who needs a DJ!

Brandon was awesome as our wedding DJ. He did an amazing job of providing music and MC services that kept the entire group entertained. We have had multiple guest specifically comment on how great they thought the DJ was. We asked Brandon to MC a wedding game at the beginning of dinner and he was awesome and had the crowd into it. Brandon made our wedding a truly memorable and magical day! He was super attentive, perfect with the music and made sure to keep our wine glasses full! If that want enough to keep us happy, Brandon went so far above and beyond such as adding perfect little touches to speeches. My favorite was when one of the bridesmaid was talking about how her and the bride bonded over the mike posener song "cooler than me" and he had it come on as she walked off the stage which made us all laugh. It was perfect. He added humor and care to our day to make it easy. We would recommend any couple to hire him he was absolutely wonderful!!

Brandon did music for a friend of mine's wedding a couple years ago. So when it came time to find our DJ for our wedding, we went to him first. We initially met with him, even though I knew we wanted to hire him and were more than pleased after our initial meeting.
He had some great ideas when we were preparing our wedding song list and also reminded us of certain things I didn't think about. When it came to time to play a certain song, it was right on que. He also did an amazing job at making sure the wedding flowed as close to the time line we had to make sure everything went smoothly.

We hired Brandon for our June 3rd, 2017 wedding at the Oregon Garden Grand Hall and we were so incredibly pleased! We hired him from Michigan so our communication was over the phone, email, and FaceTime until the day of the wedding - it worked out great for us! He was accommodating with our schedule and super helpful with our timeline and song choices. He had awesome "walk-out" type songs for the toasts and was quick to play the Oregon State fight song when the MOH mentioned the beavs. It wasn't even planned and it was awesome! He was a great MC - didn't talk too much or too little. I don't know how he did it but he kept the party on the dance floor all night long! Our guests had so much fun jumping, dancing, doing the train, and going through the tunnel, and dancing all night long. We have so many special moments from our wedding day and Brandon's DJ service was certainly a big part of that. The positive reviews don't lie. He's incredible at what he does and really understands how to make a wedding special. I would hire him again and strongly recommend for anyone looking to make their day a memorable and fun one!
