The venue speaks for itself- it's breathtakingly beautiful, the mountains are incredible, the fireplaces are a great touch. The ski lift journey to the ceremony is something everyone will remember and talk about. It automatically makes for a great touch.
Jennifer and the entire team at Granby Ranch are the reason why I give this venue five stars regardless of how beautiful it is. She was incredible. Truly, truly, incredible. Every step of the way, she was awesome. She thought of details and timelines I had no idea I needed to be thinking about as a bride. She was always available and receptive. She was patient with us when I was overwhelmed. She generally cared about us and just wanted us to have the perfect day. She was a calming presence that just made our day so much more special and smooth. I cannot thank her or this team enough. The best day I've lived thus far and I am forever grateful to them. -

Jennifer and the Granby Ranch team were amazing and made my proposal absolutely perfect. I'm from the Washington, DC area and had no clue what I'd be getting, but I'm overwhelmed with how great of a job this team did. I got to meet the entire team (Jennifer, Ski Lift Operators, Restaurant Staff) beforehand and helped things go off without a hitch. This space is meant for weddings, but the team helped transform the site to fit exactly what I was looking for. Everything from the customized lift passes to the bridal yurt made this special event even more special. Going into this sight-unseen was nerve-racking, but Jennifer and team couldn't have made things easier for me. The view was stunning and provided a romantic spot that can't be beat.
I recommend checking out Granby Ranch for any proposal or ceremony, they do a fantastic job and provide a personal touch you won't get most places. Thank you to Jennifer and team! -

This venue was absolutely stunning and unique. Throughout the whole planning process and the day of our wedding Jennifer was so helpful, kind, and patient. The best part was definitely riding the chairlift to the top and the expansive views. It was also a huge plus that we could have our dog at the ceremony with us. We definitely would recommend this location to couples! -

Jennifer and her team were knowledgeable, organized, and very friendly! We had a wedding there during the summer time and it was absolutely beautiful not to mention there were lawn concerts during the week. The staff were very helpful and all of our guests had the best time-especially on the dance floor! We can’t wait to go back and visit in the future:) -

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day! From start to finish, everything about this venue was absolutely amazing. The views were breathtaking! Our guests are still talking about the stunning backdrop and how beautiful everything looked.
The service and food were top-notch. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make sure our day ran smoothly, and the meal? Incredible! From appetizers to dinner, everything was delicious and beautifully presented.
A huge shoutout to Jennifer, who was an absolute joy to work with. She was kind, responsive, and so accommodating with all of our requests. She made planning feel effortless and truly helped make our vision come to life.
If you’re considering this venue—do it. You will not regret it. It was everything we hoped for and more!

Working with Jennifer at Granby Ranch was by far one of the best experiences ever! She and her team were so supportive and incredible to work with. The day itself was amazing and memorable and we are all still in a dream state!
Planning the event from Texas was so much easier said than done! We did both the Welcome Party and the Wedding at Granby Ranch and both events were each individual and unique in their own right! The food, the service, the location were superb! I can’t comment enough on any of it! Every detail was simply beautiful!
The Welcome Party , the evening before was a great event to allow all the guests to mingle and relax. The Wedding Ceremony up on the mountain, Wow! I can’t even describe how emotional and beautiful it was! The cocktail party and the dinner was exquisite! It was like five star dining at the mountaintop! Kudos to the chef!
I could go on forever!
Most of all , working with Jennifer and her staff was exceptional. She led the way. to where to guide the group, where to help or support when needed. And was just a pure joy to work with all along. It was like a friend for a year in planning! Thank you Granby Ranch for making dreams come true! -

Wonderful experience
So I originally got to Granby on December 14 I was looking to see how to propose to my wife. I came into the office completely Bamboozled as to the fact of what to do. Luckily, I ran into this Wonderful woman named Jenny, who took time Out of her day and helped me out through the whole process. If it wasn’t for Jenny or Dave this wouldn’t have been able to Have happened. The view was beautiful and I was the first one to ever propose up there so I feel special thank you again Jenny and Dave love y’all. Everyone at granby the whole staff was kind and genuine and made me feel special thank you guys -

Everything was perfect!
Jennifer Lespesa the event coordinator was the main reason we went with Granby Ranch. She was incredibly professional, genuine, and so fun to work with. The entire staff at the ranch were so friendly and were having fun with us. Not a step was missed and the smaller intimate venue with the most beautiful mountain backdrops made for our perfect wedding. If you’re looking for a ski lift wedding, choose Granby! They have everything down perfectly! -

Jennifer Laspesa hands down is one of the kindest most helpful venue staff I have encountered. Incredibly helpful, optimistic, kindl, informative and emotionally present. When you are choosing a venue, you are not just choosing a location, but the staff who will make or break your wedding experience. Jennifer and her staff where just so increadable. I was the photographer for an amazing wedding this past summer here at Grandy Ranch and was impressed by the staff an not to mention the amazing views from the top of the resort. I really enjoy photographing weddings here and cant say enough good about this place. Five stars! -

We had our June 2024 wedding here and it was a dream come true! We are actually not from the area and did a lot of online research before choosing to check out a short list of venues. Granby Ranch stood out to us for its breathtaking views at a budget friendly price point. Once we had toured this place and saw in person the ceremony site, we cancelled the rest of our tours because we just knew this was it.
Beyond the views/site itself, our site coordinator, Jennifer, was extremely organized and responsive. We actually had two weddings (a Christian ceremony here at Granby and a later Hindu wedding in Dallas) and I am not exaggerating when I say we didn't know how good we had it with Jennifer until we had to plan the second wedding. Jennifer will make sure every detail is nailed down and executed. She will work closely with you and your wedding coordinator. It takes a lot of stress out of your hands to work with a team so on top of it. The other huge pro about choosing this place is their amazing catering team - our guests raved about how delicious the food was! It was a first time for our pastor and officiant visiting here and he told us he'd be highly recommending this venue to other couples at the church.
Overall, we highly recommend Granby Ranch for your big day. The site, the service, the food - all top notch!!! -

Dream View and Dream Team
We could not have asked for a better venue experience! We had an intimate ceremony / post ceremony cocktail hour and dinner at Granby Ranch for a group of 40. What really makes this venue shine is the staff. Jennifer and Amelia were a joy to work with throughout our planning process. They really make you feel cared for, and they didn't skip a beat to make our out of the box ideas a reality. We lucked out with 10/10 weather and peak fall leaves for our late September day. Our guests had the most fun taking the ski lift up to Vista ridge! Everyone commented on how beautiful the ceremony site was and were eager to take all the pictures! As far as guest experience goes, Granby Ranch delivers. A con to this venue I can see is that there is no great weather back up plan. We were told that the plan would be to shift the timeline and have a mini cocktail hour at the base while we waited it out, or we would shuttle up the wedding party only for a quick ceremony if we had a small window. This was not a huge concern for us given our small group and flexible timeline, but worth noting. Everything on our menu was delicious, and I feel like we got an amazing value for our food and beverage package. There are ample vacation rental options walkable from Base Camp if you want to have all your guests stay close by. We ended up booking a condo as our "getting ready" suite and it could not have been more convenient. Overall I could not have asked for a better experience. Vista ridge is an absolute dream location to say "I do". Our pictures speak for themselves. Jennifer and her whole team truly felt like family. You can tell they take a lot of pride in the business and at no point did we feel like we were being "sold" on anything. We look forward to returning to Granby Ranch in the years to come and feel so lucky to have chosen this backdrop for our perfect day! -

I'm a Wedding Photographer in Colorado and I've shot several weddings that have been held at Granby Ranch and they have always been fantastic! The ceremonies are held at the top of the mountain Ski lift that has some amazing views! One of my favorite moments of working here is seeing the guests faces when they arrive up the mountain and see the view from the ceremony location for the first time. It is Epic! The overall experience of the rest of the venue is great as well. I've had weddings where the reception is held under a tent out on the lawn or one's where they were held in the dining hall inside the resort and they have both been seamless and everyone leaves happy. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable about the schedule and getting people to the places they need to be. I hope I get to come back and shoot some more weddings here in the future! -

The BEST Wedding Venue in the Rocky Mountains!!!
My husband and I got married at Granby Ranch on 9/23/2021 and our wedding day was truly perfect - all thanks provided to the overwhelming beauty of this venue and their absolutely *incredible* staff. CEREMONY SITE: The ceremony site at Granby Ranch brought me to tears the first time that I saw it. Preceded by a bountiful aspen grove, the views from Vista Ridge are truly breathtaking. Exchanging our vows in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, overlooking the continental divide, was more than I could have ever wished for on our wedding day. In addition to the captivating beauty of the site, the experience of taking the chairlift up to the site was like no other. As avid skiiers, it was without a doubt one of the highlights of our wedding day and something that had our guest still talking about weeks later! Additionally, it was something that helped to make our special day truly unique. Our guests had no issues retrieving lift tickets and navigating their way to the top of the mountain thanks to Granby Ranch staff. Also - a special shout out to lift attendant, Andy. He encouraged us to wait for a chair that would allow our photographers to be directly behind us. He also found us a left-over "Just Married" sign that he personally tied to the back of our chair. Because of these simple actions, our photographer was able to capture one of our favorite photos from the entire day. Thank you, Andy! FOOD: The food. Was. AMAZING! We chose one of their buffet options and could not have been happier with our decision. Their incredible and award-winning chef, Lianna, was present during our reception and personally walked my husband and I through each item in the buffet line. There was a perfect amount of food items to choose from, including vegetarian options. This is no exaggeration - every single one of our guests complimented us on how incredible the food was. Most of them specified how shocked they were that a buffet could be so delicious and flavorsome. Hats off to Chef Lianna! STAFF: We had positive interactions with every single staff member at Granby Ranch - to note, this includes the days that we've spent at Granby Ranch for our initial visit, tastings, and even on a totally separate ski trip we took the year prior. The staff truly seems to be happy to be there and that feeling extends onto their guests. On our wedding day and at our rehearsal dinner, every staff member seemed elated to be celebrating us and were willing to help us in any way that they could. Most of our time was spent coordinating with Jennifer, a true gem of a human and somebody that we now consider a friend. Jennifer went above and beyond to make sure that our day was special and we hold an immeasurable amount of gratitude for her and all that she did for us during our planning process. We also had incredibly positive interactions with the Wedding Services Manager, Liz, and the F&B Director, Ian. Our banquet captain, Zina, and staff member, Jordan, also helped to make our rehearsal dinner and reception one for the books. They were our right hand women during these events and always had a smile on their face. It was so comforting to be around people who truly wanted this day to be special for us. In conclusion, our wedding at Granby Ranch was more than we could have ever hoped for it to be. If you are considering a beautiful and unique mountain wedding with a small-town feel, then look no further - this is it!!! -

We had our wedding at Granby Ranch on June 13th, 2021. After two postponements in 2020, we were thrilled to finally be able to have our wedding. I cannot say enough good things about Jennifer and her team. Jennifer was AMAZING and so accomodating throughout all of the challenges with COVID. Also, the food exceeded our expectations along with the servers/entire staff on the day of the wedding.
This location is absolutely an absolutely beautiful spot to have a wedding and the staff/food/Jennifer/TeNeil (highly recommend for your day of coordinator) all made it that much better! THANK YOU!! -

We're still reeling from our wedding experience. Everything was great from start to finish. We went to visit the ranch in the springtime for a tour and food & wine tasting. We rode a ski lift up to the ceremony site, which grants you a BREATHTAKING view of the continental divide. During the tasting, our coordinator Jennifer and the head chef Liana worked with us to select the food and liquor options we loved and were accommodating of our guests with dietary needs.
In addition to just being a beautiful place with delicious food, the vibe was so perfect; the ranch is laid back in a way that makes you feel incredibly at home without sacrificing an ounce of class. We have two children, so it was important to us to be at a venue where children were welcome, but have the experience still feel very grown & sexy. They nailed it. The Ranch staff have hospitality down to a science.
Our friends have already started asking us if we're going back to Granby Ranch for our first anniversary. :) We highly recommend this venue, and do hope to return soon! -

We got married July 2021 and Granby Ranch was the wedding venue of our dreams! We wanted the ultimate mountain wedding and Granby Ranch delivered. We wanted the chairlift experience for our guests and our guests loved it! (There's also a shuttle available for those who need it). We toured other ski resorts - Keystone, Vail - and ultimately decided on Granby because we loved the small-town feel. We did not want to be one of many weddings that day. Jennifer led us on our tour, took us up to the ceremony site and we instantly fell in love with the view from the wedding deck. We also loved the bridal yurt to get dressed and spend time with the wedding party before the wedding. I could even peak at the guests getting off the chairlift and head the ceremony from the privacy of the bridal yurt which was fun! Guests can get a drink at the bar while waiting at the base before lift tickets were given out for the ceremony. FYI only a port-a-potty is available once up the chairlift. The provided PA and microphone offered by Granby (we used in an emergency since our DJ could not make it) was a corded microphone and a single speaker. I recommend getting your DJ to offer a lapel microphone and more speakers so the officiant can be hands free while reading the ceremony and heard well. This may have been more of an issue because we had a windstorm throughout the majority of our ceremony. Be prepared for true mountain weather changes! Cocktail hour on the deck and reception was indoors. The outside deck and indoor reception hall flowed nicely together and the guests enjoyed going back and forth for a change of scenery. We got so many compliments on our food, it was truly delicious I never expect wedding food to be tasty but this was, especially the steak. We also loved having the option of renting out the downstairs bar for an intimate after-party with some late night snacks following the reception. Lots of housing options were available in Granby Ranch itself for guests - from 1 bedroom options to large 5 bedroom homes, all within 7 minutes from the venue! We had 125 guests and did not hear of anyone having issues finding accommodations. Thank you again for an amazing wedding and helping to create the best memories! -

Granby Ranch is where your mountain wedding dreams come true. When you tour this venue, the moment you see the ceremony location, instant tears. Jennifer, the venue coordinator, is an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only does she make the planning process smooth, but she ensures that no matter what, the day will go off without a hitch. September 7th of this year was the best day of my life, Granby Ranch, Jennifer and the team had a major part in that.
I've always wanted to get married at the base of a ski hill but never like the idea of a busy ski resort with tourists watching on as you say your I do’s. Granby Ranch is a private and intimate mountain where you get to share this once at a lifetime experience with only those that you hold close.
I’ve been to so many weddings where the hotel, the ceremony, the reception and/or the after party are all in different locations. There’s been times where we’ve gotten lost trying to find where we’re supposed to be. And the whole weekend is spent trying to get from point A to point B. But that is not a problem at Granby Ranch. We (the bride and groom) stayed in a townhome in the Bass camp circle. Our families stayed in the other townhomes in the circle, while all of our friends stayed at the Base Camp Lodge. Every morning we would walk out into the cul-de-sac where all of our family and friends gathered as a daily ritual. This kept the entire weekend so intimate, stress-free, and fun! It felt like our own little community! And then the day of we get to take the chairlift to the most incredible mountain top, then back down to the most epic ceremony location privately nestled at the base of the mountain and then topped it off walking 20 feet to the After party bar. My favorite moment that will forever give me chills, was coming down the chairlift with my new husband to all of our family and friends greeting us at the bottom with cheers, laughter and love (I am literally crying as I type this, it was insanely special).
I had over 25 of my guest tell me this is the best wedding they’ve ever been to. From the accommodation, to the views, to the food, and all the little unique features that are too plenty to list, this place holds a special place in my heart. I can’t wait to go here this winter and ski down the mountain where we started our forever if you are debating whether this is THE venue, look no further! -

Our wedding this past summer at Granby Ranch was perfect! We wanted a wedding that would highlight the beauty of Colorado and we definitely got all of that with this venue. If you are looking for a venue that listens to your wants and is so beautiful, this is it! The chairlift to the top and the ceremony space are obviously a highlight but so was the food! We still get compliments about now. It was the perfect venue! -

Stunning ceremony views, great guest experience, attentive service!
If you want a “Colorado experience”-kind of wedding, Granby Ranch is the ideal venue. As Florida natives, we were excited to share all the reasons why we love calling Colorado home. Having our wedding not just at Granby Ranch but in the area itself allowed our friends and family to explore hot air balloon rides, drive over to Rocky Mountain National Park, go horseback riding, check out mountain biking, or just simply relax and take in the views.
Wedding planning can be a daunting task, but I really appreciated working with Rachael on day of details. Jennifer was also very helpful and accommodating when Rachael wasn’t available. When you work with them, you never feel like you’re a bother and while they’re probably juggling lots of ceremonies and contacts — they still truly care about you and your big day and it shows when you’re reading the emails and meeting them in person.
Figuring out the food and service was a fun experience for us, too! There are a lot of packages to choose from and there were a few things we were curious about seeing if we could swap from one to another. The Granby Team were really great at letting us know if that was possible and what the price difference would be. At the food tasting, they also have vendors available which is really nice in case you’re stumped on booking something for the day. They also have vendor only fair where you can do the same sort of meet and greet and work with companies in the area! We ended up going with the DJ and Florist that had worked with the venue before which I really liked and was one less thing to worry about.
They do require you to have a wedding coordinator on the day of which on one hand is another budget line item, but I really believe it’s worth it and allows the Bride and Groom to really experience the day without having to worry about the details. You also get to do a day-of run through with Rachael and your coordinator which certainly helped soothe some of my planning anxiety. It's an amazing feeling to get to trust the entire team (especially Rachael) with our wedding day and it honestly couldn’t have turned out any better.
Oh and I almost forgot this one amazing detail... the ceremony site is dog friendly!! We loved having our pups with us to celebrate and having the rental homes so close by made it quick and easy to drop them off before the reception festivities kicked off! -

Granby Ranch provided an unbeatable venue and great service for our wedding. The mountain top ceremony venue is absolutely gorgeous and riding a chairlift was the cherry on top (so many guests commented on how much fun they had riding the chairlift). We had our reception in the lodge, which was a great and convenient location for our guests and had a lovely outdoor deck so people could enjoy the nice weather.
We were also very happy with the catering and bar service. We opted for the buffet dinner and farewell brunch. Everything was delicious and there were lots of options, even for people with dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegetarian, lactose-free, etc).
On top of the staples (location and catering), the Granby Ranch staff was incredible to work with. Jennifer in particular was so responsive and helpful in answering questions and accommodating our needs and requests. She worked well with our other vendors and even helped us find our planner. The whole staff felt very invested in making sure we and our guests had a wonderful day. In fact, by the end of the day, we concluded that the entire wedding experience was even better than what we had hoped for! -

July Wedding at Granby Ranch
We had our wedding at Granby Ranch on July 22, 2023 with the ceremony on Vista Ridge at 3 pm and the reception in the Great Room. We had ~130 guests. Overall we had a fantastic experience and would recommend GR as venue to others looking to get married in Granby/Grand county area.
What we loved about Granby Ranch:
- The views at the ceremony site are amazing. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the location is
- Working with Jennifer. She was very responsive and has such an upbeat personality about everything
-The food. Our guests raved about how good all the food was
-The service. Dinner was fully staffed and I did not hear about any complaints on having to wait too long for anything. Everything was well organized and orchestrated.
Our only complaints (There were just a couple of things that kept us from giving a 5 star rating):
- The Great Room was Hot. I think the AC had gone out for a bit. They said that they had eventually gotten it working but by that point it must be difficult to cool down a room of that size with that many people. Opening windows and doors once the sun started setting helped some and it did not seem to impact our guests' experience too much
- Communication about the construction. We had a construction disclaimer in our contract. Before signing I had asked if it would be in a location that would "impact the aesthetic of the ceremony site" They said No, absolutely not. On the day of our wedding there was construction (albeit not active) at the top of the lift the guests take up. While not technically the ceremony site, I felt like they could have been a little more forthcoming when I asked the question. I would have still considered this part of the aesthetic of the site, but I understand the nuance.
- Lightning delay duration. Immediately after our ceremony, there was a lightning alert. It rained for about 5 min and there were probably a couple of audible rumbles within that time. However, we had to stay in the yurts up until 30 min after the last visible lightning strike (and you can see quite a ways from the ridge) so ended up being close to 45 min - 1 hr. Now, I understand not running the lifts until its absolutely clear, but my guests were a bit frustrated that they had to remain confined to crowded, hot yurts when it was clear, blue sky outside. I think letting us out of the yurts with words of caution could have been acceptable. Our guests had all signed waivers..
- We wish that there were more beer options to have selected from and another seltzer option besides white claw
Finally, we really enjoyed our tasting as it was a fun dinner and allowed us to get to know Jennifer better; however, we wish we could have tasted some of the actual options for the reception food. -

She was on my team from day one. We planned the wedding long-distance and Cassidy was always helpful with questions and helping me figure things out. Highly recommend the venue, especially with the most beautiful ceremony views!

Bethany Sent on 09/15/2014When we initially chose Granby Ranch the person in charge was Teresa Hill. However, a couple of months after we signed the contract Teresa took a different opportunity and Amy and Emily were hired to run Granby's wedding program. To say it was run poorly is almost an understatement. When the transition happened they didn't even bother to call the current clients and introduce themselves. We finally called after not hearing anything for 3 months. They were very unresponsive to questions and even when they did respond, Amy and Emily did not follow through with what they said they would do. For instance, on numerous occasions we either emailed or called to asked questions and were told they would get back with us by the end of the week or in a few days. Two weeks later we would have to call and follow up with them since they didn't call us back with their answer. It sometimes took three tries to get an answer. When it came time for our tasting, it wasn't until we asked how it was supposed to work that they sent us our menu options and told us we needed to pick a very limited number of items to taste. This was one week before our scheduled tasting when the tasting was scheduled months ago. This would have been helpful to know several weeks prior. There are many more examples I could give, but I will just say that they were very poor at being proactive and did an even more poor job at reacting to our needs. We felt the new staff was impersonal and took no interest in getting to know us.
It wasn't all bad though. The ceremony site was gorgeous and we absolutely loved vista ridge. Our guests continue to talk about the chairlift ride and the amazing views during the ceremony. Of all the sites we looked at, vista ridge's view of the continental divide was the best. Despite all of the avoidable and inexcusable pre-wedding stress that I felt was directly related to Granby Ranch staff our wedding day was GREAT and everything we had dreamt of. -

Granby ranch is an incredibly beautiful and memorable venue for a wedding. Our guests were blown away by the view at the top, the experience on the chairlift , and the food. However , as the bride and for my family, the process of planning with GR was very difficult. There seemed to be a lack of communication on the part of the GR staff-when we communicated something with one staff member it was not shared with others. When we went for our food tasting several months after scheduling it and asking for a vegetarian option, we were told we would the tasting meat dishes. When we asked to taste the dish that would be served to our guests we were originally told that it would cost us an extra $25 to taste it, and then there weren’t any times we were able to try it. Then, for the two months prior to our wedding, the staff was out of office and did not respond to emails in a timely manner. The software the GR staff uses for emails is outdated and not pleasant for the customer. We probably received 100+ emails simply saying someone was out of office. While the staff was trying their best and working very hard, there were some aspects of unprofessionalism that put some extra difficulty on us during wedding planning. The food luckily ended up being incredible- chef Liana is amazing and her food is delicious.
Overall, we had a fabulous wedding. My advice to anyone venue shopping would be to pick GR if you want an incredible view, have patience, and have a good wedding planner. -

Do not have your wedding here. I spent a year and a half planning a wedding here only to have new management take over and cancel all 2020 events. The staff wasn't very good at communication, I had a lot of emails I had to send multiple times before I got a response. Just a very heart breaking a frustrating process overall. Just know that they are under new management so everything will be different going forward.
