  The BEST photographers ever!

  I don't think I can fully capture in words what Tim and Asharae brought to our wedding. I knew from the moment we got engaged that I wanted them to be a part of our big day. I first came across their work when they photographed my friends Holly and Doug's big day in 2013. Though I sadly had to miss their wedding, I fell head over heels with their photos. The images really made you feel present. When it was time for my brother to get married, I recommended them to Grain & Compass. As a bridesmaid, they were a delight to work with, and the photos were STUNNING. Then they did my SIL's sister's wedding, so it was a joy to see Tim and Asharae again and once again be blown away by the photos.
  
  When it was my turn, there was no hesitation. I was familiar with their work and the vibe they bring. I knew that they weren't in your face all day but that they would get all the shots I wanted. And they.did.not.disappoint. I'm still going through my photos from my wedding because they gave me SO many incredible images to choose from! They got the posed photos we wanted, but captured so many great candid moments too. I love that they asked for some shots, but went with the flow and got sweet moments, especially during the first look!
  
  I am so happy with my photos and will forever be grateful to Tim and Asharae. Though I know they're closing up shop for now and not doing more weddings, I wanted to make sure that everyone out there knows how talented they are in case they ever decide to hop back in!

  We thankfully ended up happy with all our wedding purchases/decisions... and still, hiring Grain & Compass was the absolute best one. If we had only had budget for one main wedding thing, the best thing we could have done was have them do our pictures. Everyone who has seen our wedding pictures has commented to us on how exceptional they are and asked who we had do them. A year after our wedding, they are still such a source of joy for us. On the actual day, Grain & Compass could not have been more incredible at being everywhere without ever being in the way, at keeping straight our crazy family dynamics, and at making everyone feel comfortable. We got the best, most natural and beautiful pictures we've ever had of several family members known for doing that "fake smile" look in posed pictures!! In our wedding video as well as the photos, they totally captured the feel of the day, our values, and a ton of "little moments" we would never have known happened but that totally encapsulate what we loved about our wedding. I truly cannot imagine better wedding photographers or videographers!

  Absolutely THRILLED that we chose to work with Grain and Compass. They were professional, easy to work with, provided great recommendations around structuring our day, kept us on track without feeling rushed, and gave us the MOST BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS at the end of it all. Worth each and every penny! Could not have been more pleased.

  Asharae and Tim were the stars of our wedding and I could not have been more impressed or happy with the way they did everything. I am more than hard to please when it comes to vendor expectations and I can truly say that I have not (in professional or personal life) run across a team that has done a better or more professional job and exceeded expectations the way these two did. Hats off. They made our day.

  Asharae and Tim were absolutely amazing. I searched around for a long time and met with many photographers, but Asharae was the first to make me feel comfortable. She actually wanted to get to know me and my fiancé! From the moment we booked Grain and Compass, they were incredibly responsive and even gave recommendations for other vendors. They gave us a complimentary engagement photo session and that was really helpful because we learned how to be comfortable around the camera and get to know them better. They are also amazing because they stayed with us 12 hours on the day of our wedding! They were there for every moment. They were not intrusive and were very caring, trying really hard to make this day easy for us. Even though family can be difficult to wrangle into a picture, they were patient and made it fun and easy. I didn't realize it until after the wedding, but having a photographer you like and are comfortable with is crucial for making the day go smoothly. They were absolutely the best and I'm so glad we found them!

  Look no further for the perfect wedding photographer. Asharae and Tim are a fantastic team and have a great eye. They are reasonably priced, willing to travel, and in contact every step of the way to make your day perfect. By far our best vendor!
