Choosing Grace Brown Photography to capture our wedding day was one of the best decisions we ever made. Grace truly knows how to make everyone involved in your wedding day feel comfortable in front of the camera. I love her ability to capture the raw, candid emotion in such a classic but artistic way.

Where do I even start? Grace is quite simply the best of the best. Her talent speaks for itself but her kindness, patience, and friendship are truly the icing on the cake making this the best decision out of all of our wedding planning. As a somewhat OCD bride, the planning journey was still so stressful, chaotic, overwhelming but also joyful, fun, and exciting thanks to Grace!
Grace was a huge part of how we could enjoy our wedding day (because of her organization in capturing everything/everyone most efficiently and beautifully) in addition to her calming energy and support all of the days leading up to it. Starting over a year before our wedding, we received quick communication, prompt replies, and peace of mind as she made us feel so special and important to her personally.
We admire Grace's work and professionalism, and could not be more grateful that we stumbled upon her Instagram page way back at the beginning. We also admired the way she commanded a room, which was so important to us for maximum success with our big Italian families!
If we could shout it from the rooftops we could, we could not recommend her more and will continue to sing her praises to everyone we know. BOOK HER ASAP. You won't regret it and you'll have the most beautiful and timeless photos to look back on. We are already looking for an excuse to use Grace again, she's just the very best. Xoxo -

Where do I even begin? Grace as a person or Grace Brown Photography – because they are both impeccable and you would be lucky to have her as your photographer. I’ll start with the amazing photography part since that is what I am sure you want to know if you are looking through reviews. Grace’s specialty is capturing a moment through a lens and calling it photography. It is a still shot of a moment that embodies beautiful angles, raw emotions, and real moments. She is one of those photographers that gives you a pose or an idea and lets you run with it, which is why all her galleries are unique to each couple/family. It is because she lets her work be authentically you. Every smile, laugh, silly gesture, tearful emotion - Grace was right there, capturing it with the best angle and lighting. During a wedding day, moments go fast, and the excitement kicks you in over sensory drive. As I tried to soak in all the special moments during my wedding day, Grace was there making sure she captured them for me as my real-life photographic memory taking snap shots of the people we love, so we could cherish them for a lifetime. Grace also made albums for me, my parents, and in-laws. She took feedback extremely well and was very accommodating through the whole process to ensure we loved our album layouts.
Now the Grace Brown part – This to me is even more important than the photography and let me explain why. Grace is honest, fair, funny, generous, meticulous, calm, loving, and very talented. The first time I met Grace was the day of my wedding and she greeted me like I had known her for years. She came prepared with her photo list and knew every single one of my bridesmaids’ names and family members. Grace genuinely cared and you could tell through her actions. There was a moment in my day where I knew I won the lottery with Grace Brown. The party buses that were supposed to transport me, my parents and my 8 bridesmaids from Long Island to Jersey City were 2 hours late picking us up, which in return made me walk down the aisle an hour & 45 mins past my 4pm ceremony start time. When we realized how late we were going to be, I called Grace to give her a heads up. In an unruffled and relaxed voice, she goes “no problem” and started to develop plan B, because now instead of 2 hours between the ceremony and reception to shoot pictures, we only had 45 minutes! Grace immediately sprang into action. She was thinking fast, but present and joyful. The true art that day was watching her work and maintain happiness through pure chaos. Every time I needed reassurance that we had enough day light shots – she told me not to worry and improvised beautifully. Grace never acted annoyed or inconvenienced, she just calmly molded to the time she was given and still managed to deliver a stellar product/gallery. In addition, to accommodate the timeline delay, Grace stayed until the wedding was completely over, which was an extra 1.5 hours than she was scheduled. It was so sweet and just highlights that she is truly a good person that does right by her clients.
I could not have imagined anyone else to photograph my wedding. I hired her for the portfolio of beautiful pictures but will return because she has a heart of gold, and she is exactly who I want behind the camera to capture my future moments. Thank you thank you thank you Grace – I could never thank you enough for being my calming force, becoming a new friend and delivering my favorite keepsake.

SIMPLY AMAZING.
Grace Brown! Where do I even begin…
Kind, Courteous, Thoughtful, Talented, Diligent, Special, Trustworthy… are only some of the words that come to mind to describe her. When James and I got engaged in 2019 I knew right away I wanted Grace Brown as my wedding photographer. BUT, I was hesitant because I have known Grace for several years and well you know what they say, sometimes it is not the best decision to work closely with friends or family. I wanted to support Grace in her art so we sealed the deal and she was able to photograph our engagement session and wedding day. I can tell you, this was by far the BEST decision I have ever made.
I have always known Grace for her caring soul and kind heart, but this truly becomes evident while watching her do what she loves. From the moment my now husband met Grace (at our engagement shoot), he too, was in awe of how awesome she is! She is calm and cool..and funny… and makes you feel comfortable while working her magic to capture incredible moments.
Fast forward to our wedding day, for the sake of everyone reading my review… and we have received nothing but compliments on our photographer. How she handled our getting ready photos, us ladies in the bridal suite, our entire bridal party, our parents and grandparents, and our guests. We knew Grace wouldn’t let us down, but having our bridal party and guests notice how fantastic she is was truly something else to witness. She gave us direction, our bridal party actually listened to her 😉, she worked her magic, and we finished photos in the time we planned for.
Our engagement and wedding photos are absolutely GORGEOUS. We were able to look at our photos on our honeymoon and the way she pieces them together like a story allowed us to relive our special day while we sipped on tropical drinks and celebrated our marriage. Grace captured Every. Single. Moment. of our day in the most discreet way. Her work is absolutely breathtaking, light, and airy. It was everything and more to have Grace as our photographer, and to have our wedding bring Grace and I back together is a blessing.
Grace, James and I cannot thank you enough for experiencing our journey with us. You are a breath of fresh air and you captured moments in such a beautiful way that we will relive for a lifetime. I hope anyone reading this review can feel our love and utmost appreciation for the work that you do. You are elegant. You’re work is elegant. You are simply amazing. -

Grace is the BEST decision that we made for our wedding. We knew from the first time we met her that we would work well together. Grace shot our surprise proposal shoot, our engagement photos and our wedding and we plan on using Grace for all of our "big" events moving forward. Grace is professional, kind, funny and navigated tense family situations with ease. She knew everyone's names, was personable, while still professional and took the most beautiful photos. If you are in the NYC/NJ area and a questioning whether or not to book Grace, DO IT. You will not be disappointed. -

I really can’t begin to describe how amazing grace is. They say that people will forget what you say and do, but they will not forget how you make them feel. Grace makes the people that she works with feel unbelievably special from the moment she becomes your partner.
Our experience with her was nothing short of amazing. The entire day she was short of supportive and understanding. She captured photos that looked how my memories of the day feel and to me that is everything.
We got married outside in very bright light (seriously we were melting in the sun) and she found the places with the best lighting for the best photos. She is a gift to the photography business and a treasure that I recommend without any reservation.
Grace is worth every dollar without any hesitation. Hire her, you will not regret it.

I was lucky enough to have witnessed Grace capture my sisters wedding and from that moment forward I knew she would also be our photographer to capture our day.
Grace has the talent to capture your day so you will receive not 1-10 amazing pictures but 500-1000 AMAZING photos that allow you to relive your day ( which trust me you will once you view her storytelling with pictures of your day). She captured such romantic and dream photos that I was stalking on Instagram months before the wedding!
Grace is SO talented in navigating the chaos during the day and help direct you as a couple. There were moments I thought I would faint while taking pictures ( heat and lack of breakfast ) and Grace knew I needed a break or needed to breathe for a moment to take it all in or would help me correct my ( resting bitch face ) if I was overwhelmed haha !
You will barely notice Grace is even there , she is capturing everything from the little details to making sure we got our gorgeous shiba inu Kaya in our wedding photos ( yes, while smiling ) !
Look no further- Grace has it all , impeccable creative eye, attention to detail, extremely great value for the amount of pictures, professional , comforting and by the end of your experience Grace is less your photographer and more of a friend that takes the most amazing pics in the world !
You spend all of this money for a celebration of your love and it goes by so quickly - these pictures are everything and I will look back on them for the rest of our life ! Thank you Grace for really delivering and capturing what was the happiest day of my life -

Highly Recommend!!
I cannot even describe how amazing Grace is. Grace took both our engagement photos and our wedding photos and we are amazed (given that we are both awkward subjects!).
Grace's talent and photos speak for themselves. She is absolutely amazing. But one thing I didn't realize when planning a wedding was just how critical a photographer is to your entire day. I knew having photos was important, but I did not realize Grace would literally make our day special. We had a rainy NYC wedding day and, without Grace, I would have been disappointed. But she took the rain and ran with it -- she kept everyone's spirits up, made sure we stayed on schedule, and got the most beautiful photos capturing our wonderful day. She made sure everyone was comfortable and really captured the best moments of our wedding on film. Looking through our photos is like reliving the day.
Grace really took the time to get to know us as a couple prior to our wedding as well. I have a VERY LARGE family and Grace knew everyone's names (including my 6 siblings and 5 nieces and nephews) before she even met them. It made for such a good environment and made taking photos so relaxing and fun. Grace does this for a living, but never for a second made us feel like our wedding was "just another job." Instead, our day was special and our small details mattered.
I also want to note how gracious Grace was with our postponed wedding (due to COVID). She was extremely responsive and gracious when postponing our date and we could not have asked for anything more.
We highly recommend Grace as a wedding photographer if you're looking for someone with talent, passion for their craft, and who is just all-around fun to be with. Thanks, Grace! We cannot wait to hire you for family photos in the future! -

Where do I even begin...For starters- Grace not only exceeded all of our expectations (from our engagement shoot to our wedding day) but she BLEW THEM OUT OF THE WATER. Grace stands out from other photographers because she truly becomes apart of your life, she gets to know you as a couple, your family, your vision, the dynamics and executes that seamlessly into her work. She truly makes you feel so comfortable and has the best personality any photographer can have! You work so closely and often times to intimately with photographers for your wedding and it is so important that you connect with them. We did just that. Grace shares in the excitement with you on your big day and really makes you feel the most confident. The eye Grace has as a photographer is like no other. She truly captures you and your significant in your truest form and really lays out a story with your photos. I feel so grateful to have someone like Grace photograph our wedding day! My husband and I recently got married October 2020 - after having to change our wedding date three times due to Covid, we found ourselves with no photographer just six weeks until the big day. I found Grace through social media - after looking through her photos it was obvious how talented she was. Not only was she extremely quick to respond, she was professional, and sweet! I knew from our initial phone call that she was perfect - so on top of her game. Her experience was evident in how she coordinated the day to capture each photo perfectly. Hiring Grace was one of the best decisions I made for my Wedding. Whether you have just started your search for a photographer or are torn between her and others, my hope is this review will help with what I know is an overwhelming process (planning a wedding!) filled with so many decisions that need to be made. Let me help you cross one of those to do’s off your list. Hire Grace, and you will have your wedding captured in the most breathtaking and timeless way.
I found Grace through social media- I kept stumbling on beautiful wedding photography and so much of it was done by her. I knew I had to consider her. Grace was actually the first photographer I spoke with- I interviewed and had calls with many others after that- but I was so drawn to her work and the instant connection we had during our conversation, I ultimately knew she was the right choice. She took the time to understand what our vision was from our first meeting, determined what a time line could look like, and clearly articulated how she would bring the day to life after getting to know me and Andrew what we wanted from our day.
Leading up to the event she was so professional, quick to respond, proactive, and I knew she was not only and expert but was genuinely and personally invested in making our day perfect. And she was so flexible, understanding, and empathetic through the date switches and unknowns that came with planning a COVID wedding. My wedding was originally scheduled for May 30th, and we pushed and downsized it to September 5thand Grace was flexible and accommodating through all the ups and downs which definitely helped reduce the stress that came with this.
Lastly, the photos Grace creates are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. She is so incredibly talented and has an eye for capturing a beautiful, honest, yet editorial image. My fiancée and I felt so incredibly comfortable in front of her and when I got her photos, I kept calling her a magician because I was so blown away by how outstanding and gorgeous everything looked. She welcomes your ideas if there are specific poses, looks etc. you want captured (and reviews this in detail with you before the event) but also just captures and directs the most natural and beautiful imagery. She is excellent at balancing the wants of her clients and her artistry. She captures the most flattering and heartwarming candid shots. She is worth every dollar- An outstanding value - especially when you consider the team that accompanies her, the time she puts in before during and after the event and the priceless work she delivers.
Grace is an artist. And each time I go through my wedding gallery- so thoughtfully designed - I notice more and more her impeccable attention to detail and her ability to evoke emotion through a photo. I truly relive the magic of the day, time and time again. Grace is a dream photographer, and I am so thankful I made the decision to have Grace capture what will be one of my favorite lifelong memories.

Even before we met Grace we knew she was professional and flexible, as she subbed in to photograph my sister's wedding when the original vendor cancelled a few weeks before the big day. From the moment she stepped through the door, we were put at ease by her positive attitude and relaxed (but still professional) approach. Once we saw the incredible images captured from that day, it was a no-brainer for my fiance and I to work with her again for our wedding. She is extremely communicative and approachable, easy to work with, and so personable that it felt like she was a part of the family! The planning process was clear and organized, and she captured all of the images we wanted (and many more) without being intrusive or demanding. Her style is artistic but not to the point of being abstract or weird. The touching up of the photos is natural and not overdone, which is what we wanted. She has a great eye for settings and finding beautiful backgrounds to frame the shots, even in rainy weather. She is very reasonably priced for the area, and has a quick turn around- we received our teaser gallery within 2 weeks of the wedding and full gallery a few weeks after that. We loved working with Grace and her team, and would recommend her to any couple without hesitation! -

Grace and her team did an unbelievable job at capturing both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding day. Grace spent so much time getting to know my husband and I, along with our big, blended families, and truly listened to our hopes, concerns, and stressors about wedding day. Nothing felt staged or forced - our pictures truly reflect our personalities. Grace is extremely professional (and fun!) to work with and we can not recommend her more! -

Must go with Grace!
Grace is a patient, artistic, and detail oriented photographer. Without hesitation, I would recommend Grace to anyone that needs a photographer in NYC/Hoboken/Montclair.
My husband, Jake, and I first met Grace at a coffee shop in Hoboken. We enjoyed her vision, style, and preemptive details of our big day. We were so fond of her photos and personality that we even booked her for our engagement party! Our family still raves about her photos and many have ordered prints for themselves from her website.
Grace captured our engagement photos, engagement party, and wedding day. We will ask for Grace for any future needs too. Grace is truly our life photographer. -

When my husband and I first sat down to talk about our wedding budget and vision, we very readily came to the decision that great photography was a priority for us. We spoke with several photographers and picked Grace ultimately for the quality of her work (her talent for finding the perfect lighting and composition is truly special) -- but her excellent communication, package flexibility, professionalism, and genuine personality definitely didn't hurt.
On the day of our wedding, Grace arrived early with her team at our venue in the Catskills and was a calm, focused, sweet & reassuring presence throughout the day. (My mom even stopped me at one point to comment on how sweet Grace was.) Even with our coordinator building in buffer time, we were running behind schedule leading up to the ceremony and I still can't believe how Grace and her team managed to get all the pre-ceremony portraits & wedding party photos we wanted (and they all turned out amazing!).
At the end of the wedding, Grace let us know she'd share teasers within the next week and she followed up with an absolutely stunning set of ~80 teaser photos within the next few days! All of our family and friends were taken aback by how beautifully she captured the day. I loved how Grace's photojournalistic approach caught so many special, candid moments -- and her eye for light & composition took everything to a whole other, magical level.
It truly doesn't get better than this!! We can't recommend Grace Brown Photography highly enough. -

She is incredible! Exactly the energy you want on your wedding day and exactly the moments you want captured to have everyday after! The pictures are stunning, she literally made me think "no way am I this cool, no way do we look this amazing, are we sure these aren't cool wedding magazine pictures." The candid moments she captures are framed all over my house! From the engagement shoot, to the wedding day, Grace was wonderful every step of the way. I cannot say enough good things about her and her work! 1000x recommend! -

As soon as we had our first "meeting" via Skype, we just instantly felt at ease with her style and personality, and knew it was a perfect fit. Not only did she help keep the wedding day moving and help me navigate potentially tricky family dynamics (divorced parents, etc.), but she captured so so many small sweet moments between myself and my husband, of our friends enjoying themselves and us with our families. I have looked at our photos dozens of times since the big day and can't recommend her enough! Now I just need to plan more parties/events so I can have an excuse for more photos :)

Lisi Sent on 02/22/2018I found out about Grace searching a hashtag on Instagram when I was looking for a wedding photographer (gracebrownphoto, check her out!!). I came across this beautiful photo that she made of a newly engaged couple and decided to email her. We met a couple of days after and both my, then fiancé, and I fell in love with her and her work! Grace is so sweet and laid back but so professional at the same time. We had our engagement photos done in June 2016, followed by our wedding in April 2017... and just a couple of weeks ago Grace came over our place to take our maternity photos ♥️ You will not regret to have this beautiful soul capturing the greatest moments of your life... we love her!!!

Coming into our wedding day, we were so excited to work with Grace, after having worked with her during our engagement shoot. We fell in love with her work quickly and made sure to book her 2 years in advanced. During the planning process and what seemed like the longest 2 years, Grace was always helpful, ALWAYS excited, and most importantly always very warm. Having beautiful timeless pictures was an important priority for us. We wanted to make sure to have someone who was going to capture our love and our special day the most genuinely way possible. That person was 1000% Grace.
Still today we hear from our family & friends how seamless Grace made taking pictures for everyone. Our wedding was full of raw emotions as both sets of families had experienced great loss during the wedding planning process. Grace understood this, and made everyone feel safe, understood, and not pushed.
Our wedding pictures are one of our favorite memories from that day. They are timeless, classic, and absolutely beautiful. If you want someone warm, kind, and the best cheerleader on your biggest day- Grace is your girl! -
