BEST FOOD & Amazing Staff!

Goodrich Gourmet was a perfect choice from the tasting, planning process, and the big day! We got to customize our menu, choose our settings, and have the most splendid dinner. Everything was DELICIOUS and got rave reviews from both the guests and ourselves. Lauren was incredible to work with and always available for any guidance. We also did the open bar selection which I highly recommend! Everything was divine. Thank you to Lauren and Goodrich Gourmet for helping me plan my dream day! I highly recommend Goodrich Gourmet to anyone!!

10/10 would recommend

Goodrich Gourmet was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. We
wanted to show our favorite people some love and feed them something delicious
on our big day. Goodrich Gourmet delivered on both loving our people well, and
feeding them well. Our guests could not stop raving about the food and many helped
themselves to second plates.
The staff members we worked with were professional, kind, and genuinely seemed
to love being part of our day. Our interactions were sprinkled with well wishes and
reminders to enjoy the day, as well as questions to ensure we as the Bride and
Groom had a chance to eat. It was clear that each of the staff loved being part of
someone's celebration, and that they had not lost their joy for the wedding business.
They made the logistics aspects so easy and were willing to make many adjustments
for us throughout our wedding process, especially when we saw a big change to our
guest count. Our bartender was wonderful, ensuring that there was never a line and
that our guests quickly returned to the dance floor. The ladies helping us during
dinner were so kind and attentive, always ensuring our drinks were refreshed and
we always had a cold beverage waiting for us at our sweetheart table. We also opted
to use our own plates and they diligently cleaned and repackaged them with care-
truly going above and beyond. I cannot recommend this vendor highly enough for
your next celebration.

Guests are still raving over dinner

I am SO thankful we found Goodrich Gourmet for our wedding. We were able to customize our menu to be exactly the meal we wanted: a build your own fajita bar and a southern BBQ slider station. Goodrich made my family recipe mac n' cheese and the pimento cheese station at cocktail hour was top notch!! I had guests coming up to me throughout the entire evening talking about how we had wedding food that was actually delicious, and my cousins are still fantasizing over the shrimp fajitas. I also can't emphasize enough how kind and helpful their staff was throughout our entire reception. Everyone checked in on the groom and I to make sure we had drinks, all the food we could possibly want, and brought over extras from cocktail hour for us to try. They even helped move our sweetheart table mid dinner because we were in direct sun and they wanted to make us more comfortable! The picnic basket they sent with extras of the food was adorable and we were so glad for the extra snacks. Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff, interacting with you really made my day!

The best catering company we could have asked for

Lauren and her staff are wonderful. The prices were fair, food was amazing, staff was professional and the owner was very accommodating for we had to reschedule several times due to the pandemic. 10/5 stars across the board.

Goodrich Gourmet out of Virginia Beach made our son’s wedding welcome party a smooth wonderful evening. I would highly recommend them!

We used Goodrich Gourmet out of Virginia Beach for our son ‘s wedding rehearsal/welcome party on the Eastern Shore for 110 people. Sherry was so responsive and helpful. The food and staff were wonderful. I would highly recommend them.

Amazing service, Great food

We hired Goodrich Gourmet for my son's wedding and the experience was outstanding! The staff was courteous, efficient and friendly. Every detail was taken care of and the food was excellent! Would definitely hire them again for my next big event!

Great food and service

The team was amazing making our wedding dinner and appetizers perfect. We enjoyed working with them from the onset to the food tasting and the big day. They were extremely easy to work with and helped us decide on our menu selection and flow. They were also very accommodating with ever changing Covid regulations. My mom still talks about how good the crab cakes were and I even had a guest reach out to them for the mashed potato recipe. Food and service 5 stars. They went above and beyond.

THE best food and service

Goodrich food is absolutely incredible. Our tasting experience was great and we were so excited to have Goodrich cater our wedding. Lauren was great to work with even when we had additional requests. We got so many compliments about the food and the service. Their bartenders were also so great to our guests and especially us - they had my preferred drink ready to go before I would even get over to the bar! Everything was 10/10, but we particularly loved the mini grilled cheese and tomato soup appetizer and the petite tenderloin! They also have us the cutest picnic basket with leftovers that was such a special touch!

Highly recommend!!

We cannot recommend Goodrich Gourmet Catering enough. Lauren and her team truly brought our food vision to life, it was above and beyond what we could have ever imagined!! From the hors d'oeuvres, to the chip and guac bar, to the entire dinner, everything was delicious! All of our guests had nothing but AMAZING things to say about the food and staff! Everyone loved the mashed potato and chip bars!

The wait and bar staff were such a pleasure to work with, they were extremely hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We did not go hungry or thirsty!!!

Exceptional food and service

We had an amazing experience with Lauren of Goodrich Catering! We were planning our daughters wedding from Orlando, Florida and she was extremely helpful in all aspects of planning! Very thorough and made suggestions when I could save money! We had SO many guests compliment us on the dinner! We did a Buffett and it was exceptional! Would highly recommend the Lamb! It was amazing! Servers were all polite and well mannered and you could tell they had been with Lauren and company for a while! We had rain so it meant a lot of moving of things under the tent at Keswick and they did an amazing job! Would Highly recommend!!

Goodrich Gourmet is amazing!

I can not thank Goodrich Gourmet enough! The team that worked my daughters wedding was unbelievable!! From the moment they arrived on site to the end of the event they were awesome. Friendly, hard working, and wanted to make sure everything was good for us all the way through. The food was wonderful!! The bartenders were excellent! There were 3 couples newly engaged at my daughters wedding and they all got information about Goodrich before the night ended. Can’t thank you enough Goodrich Gourmet!

Tasteful Wedding with Goodrich Gourmet

Great food was at the top of our must haves for our wedding and we did extensive research on vendors before finding Goodrich Gourmet. From the very beginning of our experience with Lauren and the team, we were blown away by the taste, depth of their menu, and the attention that we received. Lauren worked closely with us to craft the perfect cocktail hour and wedding dinner menu that had our guests raving all night. She also worked us to create his and hers signature cocktails that were the talk of the reception. While we ultimately chose not to do late night food, Lauren had no shortage of options to choose from and, like all of our yearlong interacts, was always patient and accommodating through our endless inquiries. The whole staff were great and treated every one of our guests like family. We could not recommend Goodrich Gourmet enough.

So glad I went with this vendor

Catering was one of the most important vendor for us because we had a small wedding and wanted to treat our guests with some quality dish. I'm so glad I choose Goodrich Catering. Nic is so professional and easy to reach out. The whole process of choosing our perfect dish was very easy and they were willing to meet our personal requests. The plating was so beautiful and looked fancy. You will not regret with this vendor team. Highly recommended!

The food stole the show at my wedding

I found Goodrich by searching for the top-rated catering company within our budget. I reached out early (like a year and half before my wedding), but they seemed to understand that because we are both teachers we had to do things over summer breaks. The wealth of information available on their websites made it easy to have a plan and an approximate cost before I reached out, and made it even easier to go back and forth with Beth as we figured out the perfect details. The tasting made it impossible for us to say no. When Beth found out we were having a Halloween wedding at the Edgar Allan Poe Museum, she decorated the tasting room to match from her own things. The food is DIVINE. They sent us home from the tasting with leftovers and we devoured them. At the wedding, the food stole the show from everything else. Because it was later in the evening, we had appetizers set up in the "wedding" space before the ceremony for our guests to enjoy and boy did they. Please, please, request the kicked up ham biscuits. They are addictive but perfect. The rest of the dinner was set up off to the side buffet style. Their COVID protocols were sound, well enforced, and everything still went off without a hitch that everyone ate their fill. No one went home hungry and people are still talking about the food, especially the kicked-up ham bisuits! They even gave my husband and I a beautiful picnic basket full of leftovers that we happily devoured that night and the next afternoon for lunch on our way home from the wedding.
We budgeted almost 50% of our entire budget for food, but they were still extremely reasonable and 100% worth it!

Exceptional Service and Excellent Food

From beginning to end, Goodrich proved to be an excellent choice as the catering team for my daughter's wedding. The menu choices were great and a good value - and the execution was delicious. Lauren, Nic and their team were attentive and helpful - and went above and beyond to ensure that we were pleased with every detail. The venue was spotless and all rentals carefully organized for pickup when I returned the next day to pick up personal items. I highly recommend Goodrich.

A COVID wedding saver

At about 65 days out we realized our wedding as planned would not be able to happen and looked to move to another venue with this new location did not provide catering that’s when we found Goodrich. They were great at answering all of our questions, assuring us of COVID procedures, recommending other vendors to help with our change, and had the best food! Lauren and Nic were both delightful to work with and all of our guests raves about the service staff and food!

Wedding Dreams Come True!

Goodrich Gourmet was fantastic to work with from beginning to end! They have a huge list of food options that will surely be fit for any event. I might be biased, but everything was incredibly delicious. We go SO many compliments about the food from our guests. We had 3 plated meal options, and all of the food came out quick and hot. The process for renting place settings and linens was extremely easy and there were so many options to choose from. Besides the food being fantastic, the best part of Goodrich was how attentive and helpful the staff was during our wedding. And all of this for extremely reasonable pricing! I would recommend Goodrich Gourmet over and over!

professional & delicious

from our first tasting with lauren & the goodrich team, we knew they were the real deal. they even created samples of our signature cocktails, using unique ingredients like the NC-based soda cheerwine and strips of bacon for a bacon old-fashioned. lauren was nothing but professional, prompt, and eager to serve. the stations they made on the wedding day itself were delicious, filling, and hot. goodrich worked with us as we went through several iterations of beverage packages, and the bartenders the day-of were polite & enthusiastic. I specifically remember lauren telling me I looked beautiful when they brought us in to cut the cake, and that small interaction sticks to me even this day 18 months later. thank you, goodrich gourmet!

Wonderful Caterer

Goodrich Gourmet was nothing slight of spectacular! From the beginning they were extremely organized which made planning a wedding from out of town easier. We thought we had to make some last-minute changes which was stressful but Lauren Goodrich calmly reassured us everything was fine which was helpful during a hectic month. Then when it came to the wedding day the Goodrich Gourmet staff was the sweetest and most attentive people we could have asked for! Everything tasted phenomenal and they set up the tables better than I could have imagined! I am forever thankful for the Goodrich Gourmet staff that was at our wedding and rehearsal!

Highly recommend Goodrich for Carter’s great needs. We had a cocktail hour with appetizers followed by family style dinner with beer and wine bar. The food was phenomenal very filling and they cooked it at our venue! The service staff was very attentive and friendly. Lauren came to our venue to make sure everything ran smoothly, she was so communicative and always got back to me with questions about tableware and random things I would forget to ask until a Month out. The most important thing for us was that we had a budget And Lauren worked so hard to help us meet that. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Scrumptious!!

Our guests are still raving about the delicious food provided by Goodrich Gourmet Catering Company! The presentation was beautiful. Foodie Fantasy Come True!

On the only snow day in December, this great team came out to my venue and served up the best tasting food I've ever had at a wedding!! Thank you to Lauren and her amazing staff, they made sure everything was fresh, delicious and everyone of my guests commented on how great the food tasted!!! Everything from the Beef Burgundy, the Grilled Salmon, the Shrimp and Grits, everything was so delicious!! Excellent choice and would gladly use again!!

We recently got married and Goodrich gourmet was one of our vendors. They did an amazing job! I had guests throughout the night and after our wedding tell us it was the best wedding food they have ever had! They kept our glasses full the whole night and continuously checked on us. Lauren and her team were an absolute dream to work with! They are EXTREMELY professional and the food is absolutely DELICIOUS! They have so many different varieties to meet everyone's needs and wants (including food allergies). Due to the size of our wedding (250+), Lauren suggested we do family style. Best decision we ever made! Our guests loved this style as it was different from the traditional buffet style. Throughout the entire wedding they constantly checked on my husband and I and all of our guests. They paid close attention to details and went above and beyond the entire night. They even sent us home with a surprise picnic basket of all the food from our wedding + extra cake. It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen as we were not expecting that AT ALL. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making our wedding the best day EVER!!!! We love you guys so much! Can't wait to see you in December for our friends' wedding - Erin & James!

Goodrich Gourmet Catering did a wonderful job catering our son's wedding. From the planning process to the end of the evening, they didn't miss a beat. Lauren Goodrich has a wonderful team working with her. They were all professional, very capable, and very friendly. Goodrich provided all of our linens and table ware, and the tables looked beautiful. They worked with us on dietary restrictions of guests and provided delicious alternates. Our guests raved about the delicious food, and Goodrich also provided a hamper of goodies to the bride and groom when they left for the evening. From the beginning of planning to the end of the evening, I can't think of a single thing they could have done better. I highly recommend Goodrich Gourmet Catering for Lauren's calm, capable manner, her attention to detail, and the staff she's assembled...not to mention the amazing food they make!

Goodrich was more than amazing!! From the day I came in for my tasting they were more than happy to do anything I needed. Goodrich was one of the highlights of our whole wedding! We worked with Sheila, who instilled confidence in their ability to accommodate our food allergies and worked out a plan to include everything we needed. We were able to feed about 75 guests for less than $30 a head and that included a fruit and vegetable display, salad, yeast rolls, beef and chicken entrée options, green beans, and a smashed potato bar with all the fixings. The servers were really friendly and sensitive to everyone’s needs while also remaining inconspicuous. We chose Goodrich Gourmet for my daughter's wedding because we had seen them at work at a friend's wedding. Lauren was amazing to work with. This food was wonderful and delicious. The company was easy to work with and they provided constant and wonderful service! I was well fed and at the end of the night the company gave us a picnic basket with all of the good food so we had lunch the next day. It was the sweetest gesture.

My husband and I got married in May 2017 and Goodrich Gourmet catered our wedding. Both the food and service were incredible! Prior to the event, we had a tasting and meeting at their downtown location. Lauren helped us decide on a menu that fit our needs and budget. The day of the wedding, the food and beverage/bar set-up looked very nice and the staff was so attentive – they were so on top of it that I didn’t have to ask for anything! I would happily recommend Goodrich Gourmet to anyone looking for catering – great staff and great value!

Goodrich catered our wedding this past weekend. We are 100% pleased with the service and the food! Our guests raved about the meat ball appetizer and shrimp and grits. Everything was incredible and a great deal for the money! The owners and staff are very friendly and professional. Highly recommend them!

I cannot say enough great things about Goodrich Gourmet Catering! They are FABULOUS!!! Sheila Martin was a joy to work with in helping us plan my daughter and son-in-law’s reception. Carol and her team at the reception…AMAZING!!! From my very first contacted with Goodrich to end of the evening when the last remaining rental was packed up, EVERYONE was first rate!!! The food was AWESOME!!! I have never attended a function where every single person raved about the food. It was delicious!!! And the attentiveness of the staff was so appreciated. From the servers to the bartenders, every one of the Goodrich folks were professionals. My daughter and son-in-law couldn’t get over how thoughtful the staff was in making sure they had something to eat and drink throughout the reception.

I don't know if it is possible to accurately describe how incredibly pleased we were with Goodrich Gourmet. The team of caterers worked seamlessly to take care of our guests and us. The food was extraordinary and delicious, and GG worked with us every step of the way to ensure not just that everything was perfect but that we were well-fed and having an incredible time on our wedding day. I truly cannot think of a team that gets so much correct down to the smallest detail or works to such an exacting standard to make sure that everything runs smoothly. I live in RVA and sometimes run events. I trust GG implicitly will do whatever I can to employ their services in the future. You should do the same.

I had many guests tell me that this was the best food they've had at a wedding. We used Goodrich for both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding, and are very happy we did. The food was incredible and the planning process was very easy. We had buffet service and had plenty of leftovers -- we're still eating food out of our freezer! Be sure to try the shrimp & grits and the beef tenderloin -- it was fantastic!

The entire experience from the tasting, advising, pricing, rehearsal dinner, and the wedding reception, this team exceeded our expectations. The food was phenomenal! The cake and cupcakes were utterly gorgeous! Guests at the wedding kept complimenting us on the food and desert. The staff was every bit of professional and appeared to share in our excitement of the evening. I just wish they were in our hometown so we could take advantage of this services more often! Lauren Goodrich is an absolute wizard. She's amazing and wonderful and her team is the best. I had waitstaff check in with me often, but not too often, to make sure that I had everything that I needed. They were super attentive. I never needed to go ask anyone for anything.

We didn't want traditional "wedding food". We wanted our wedding to be fun and we wanted fun food. Most of the caterers that we talked to didn't seem to understand that, but when I told Lauren that I wanted "sophisticated food truck food," she knew exactly what I meant.

For cocktail hour, we had mini grilled cheeses with tomato soup shots, bao buns, buffalo chicken on pita chips, and spring rolls. Dinner got rave reviews. When I said I wanted a mac & cheese bar, we got amazing cheddar mac & cheese with every possible topping you can imagine. The taco/fajita bar was great, the pulled pork was better than some BBQ places I've been to, and the made-to-order hamburger sliders were awesome. It's been 5 days and I'm still eating the leftovers that they packed up in a picnic basket for us. When we asked for local craft beer, we got to hand-select 3 different varieties in addition to our choice of a domestic beer.

Every time we needed to make a change, Lauren handled it easily. When I learned a month before the wedding that I had some guests who were gluten-free, she had a tray of gluten-free mac & cheese made just for them. They said it was the best mac & cheese they've ever had and they were so grateful that we were able to accommodate them.

The team from Goodrich also set up the entire reception for us, since the ceremony and reception were being held in the same room and they did a beautiful job. The whole place looked gorgeous. It was a perfect night and I am so glad that we hired Goodrich Gourmet. I don't think we could have done it without them.

We booked with Lauren for our wedding & we have received SO many compliments on how good the food was. We actually did get to eat & we are so glad we did because we couldn't agree more, it was delicious! Lauren and her team were AMAZING. She spent a ton of time with me leading up to the wedding planning the menu and figuring out what would work best for us. She made the entire process very easy and the prices were extremely reasonable! On the day of, Lauren was very attentive to make sure we had everything we needed, as well as our parents and bridal party. The staff was amazing! At the end of the night, Lauren even had a picnic basket in our getaway car to take back to the hotel with us of all of the food we had throughout the night! Thank you for such awesome catering services for our daughter’s wedding this last weekend held at Fairview Farm Events. Not only was the food amazing so was the staff! From the servers to the bartenders there was nothing you could have done to make the event any better. I love how the bartender would have a glass of wine always ready for the bride and beer personally delivered to the groom. The BBQ chicken and pork was perfect and the mac & cheese was so good. We even went back for seconds! Thank you all….from set up to clean up we appreciate everything you did.

Throughout our planning, Sheila and Lauren were not only immediately responsive but extremely accommodating and useful in helping us plan the best menu for us including personal touches! In the month leading up to our event, Kate & Lauren were kind enough to do a site visit to assist us in final plans of every detail. After the wedding of our daughter, I thought is was necessary that I call Lauren Goodrich, co-owner of Goodrich Gourmet, to thank her personally for the outstanding job she and staff did for such a grand event. I explained to her that a great many of the guest were raving over the food, without being asked, of course I did ask others and the response was the same, "Awesome"!! How many times have you been to a wedding and the food was just OK or maybe not even that, well, I can tell you, the presentation and food was amazing. Their staff was great and very accommodating to each and every need we had.

Leading up to the wedding we scheduled a tasting and what we had originally picked was great, but we later decided to change the menu which led to another tasting, again the food was amazing. Her willingness to work with us and our budget was great and being this was my first time, she was very helpful in guiding us in through the many aspects of this event. I later found out that Lauren was once a wedding planner, which I believe gives her great insight to what clients are looking for not only in the food but how the whole event will unfold and what to expect. I can't thank her enough for all she did to make such a stressful event go off seamlessly and without a hitch.

Her prices are extremely reasonable and fair for what we ordered. Goodrich Gourmet delivered quality in every aspect, from the food, the presentation, to the linens, flatware and plates. I was fantastic, and I would highly recommend them to anyone. I will tell you we never consulted with any other caterers for this event because after our first tasting I told my daughter this is the one, to which she agreed, so glad we chose Goodrich. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Don't look any further. Goodrich Gourmet is THE BEST. We met with and had tastings with a few caterers and were thrilled to find Lauren & Dale. The menu options we amazing, delicious choices, and on top of that, their professionalism and responsiveness could not have been any better. Some of our guests were professional chefs and they couldn't stop raving about the meal! The roasted red pepper chicken & beef tenderloin was among some of my favorites served - but everyone also loved the late night snacks of buffalo chicken triangles, grilled cheese and tomato soup shots. The milk & cookies served at the end of the evening left our guests feeling very satisfied. You won't regret hiring this team!!

Goodrich Gourmet gave us the absolute best service that I could have hoped for during the planning process, and on our wedding day. We picked them because we needed a special menu- my husband is vegetarian and I don't do well with dairy. So we were very worried that we would have a very hard time finding someone to meet our dietary needs without compromising on taste or creativeness of the food offerings. I met Lauren, the owner, at a Bridal Show, and she assured me that we could sit down with her chef and come up with something that would work. We decided on a Japanese/hibachi style dinner, and we were very impressed at the tasting- even my parents who were skeptical about not having meat or dairy. Goodrich Gourmet also provided our day-of coordinator, our cupcakes, our rentals- table linens, table décor, extra chairs, tables, and lighting including set-up and breakdown- as well as five event staff members. Our guests really enjoyed the food offerings, and the catering team did an amazing job during event breakdown- it was all pretty much done in 30 minutes- which really helped my family out. I have nothing but positive things to say about working with Goodrich Gourmet. Their team was very supportive during my planning process, answering my many emails trying to sort out all the details and make sure we had thought of everything. I especially was grateful for Lauren's ability to calm my worries and ensure me that everything would be ok. That meant the world to me. Consider using them for your event; you won't regret it!

Goodrich Gourmet catered our wedding at Fairview Farm! I couldn't be more pleased with the Goodrich Gourmet team! Working with Lauren at Goodrich was such a pleasure! She was extremely helpful, flexible and professional all throughout the planning process in meeting with me for tastings, for my walk through, and helping create a delicious menu for my big day! My guests absolutely loved the food and their excellent services- and are still raving about it! Everyone on staff was very professional and attentive. I was very impressed with their services- Lauren asked us prior to the reception what type of drink/food we prefer and had it all set up at our place setting for the Bride and Groom! Another unique thing about GG is the personable gift for our honeymoon was placed in our car prior to leaving the reception which was a picnic basket with a variety of leftovers for the wedding night! GG provided all the place settings, napkins, table clothes for cocktail tables, and had all the details included making it very stress-free for the Bride in the planning process! My wife and I had interviewed many different catering companies, non of which gave us such an amazing "at home" experience as Goodrich Gourmet. We went in for our tasting and we were completely blown away with the food! We had two amazing people assisting us throughout the entire process (Lauren and Amanda), and they were always quick to answer questions, assist with last minute changes, and their professionalism was beyond our expectations. The staff at the ceremony asked me if there were any guests needing assistance, to include parents, grandparents, and wheelchair bound people. Once we pointed them out to the staff member, they specifically catered to them... bringing them their dish, drinks, and dessert. What an experience!
At the end of the night, we were sent home with an AMAZING picnic basket full of food.
I would HIGHLY recommend Goodrich to anyone looking for a caterer, and I hope that I can work with them again in the future.

EVEN IF YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED IN CHARLOTTESVILLE, BOOK WITH GOODRICH. We are from Richmond but got married in Charlottesville. The vendors there are just absurdly expensive. Goodrich is much more affordable and goes to C'ville for weddings all the time. Lauren Goodrich was our contact through the whole process - she was the most organized and professional of all of our vendors (and I loved all of our vendors!). She has an answer for everything, asks all the right questions, takes notes, and totally takes control of the situation. And, WE ATE at our wedding!! My husband really wanted a couple appetizers but missed them since we were taking pictures. When we sat down for dinner there was a special plate of apps set aside for us. About every 10 minutes someone from the wait staff came to check on us and brought us absolutely anything we needed. They were so attentive, I have no idea how they had that much time to focus on us while serving the other guests. The food was amazing. My in-laws hired a fancy C'ville caterer for the rehearsal dinner that cost way more than Goodrich and seriously underdelivered. Everyone raved about our food, served on-time, family style, and all the dishes were amazing. Just book them and you will be able to completely relinquish your worries about the food. They will deliver. OH and they sent us home with a picnic basket of leftovers which my husband and I devoured later that night.

We were on a tight budget for dinner, but Lauren was so wonderful and worked with us to find a meal that was both delicious and fit within our budget! The staff was very professional, flexible in where I wanted to have the food set up, and set everything up beautifully. Lauren and her staff were absolutely wonderful. From the time we did our tasting until the end of wedding everything was just perfect. ABSOLUTELY amazing! I am still getting comments from guests on how amazing the food was! We had the herb chicken and tilapia. THE BEST TILAPIA I HAVE EVER HAD! I couldn't have dreamed of a better caterer! We did not have a wedding planner, and we hadn't made a timeline, Lauren made it for us and took it upon herself to send it to all of our other vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. The day of, 3 hours before the event, we realized we were 3 tables short...my maid of honor called Lauren and asked (thinking the answer would be no) if there was any way that they could bring them to us, without hesitation she said yes and if we needed anything else, to not hesitate to call. Those are only a couple of the many examples. Their table set ups were absolutely beatiful. We did 'Family Style' and it was perfect. No long lines for the buffet, and everyone got to try what they wanted and as much of it as they wanted. They truly care about each and everyone of their clients. I would recommend everyone and anyone to them. Thank you, again, Goodrich Gourmet, you helped make our day so much more perfect!

Lauren and her team were amazing! The food was delicious yet reasonably priced. We could not have gone with a better caterer!!! Lauren went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and make sure our day was perfect! During the site check she caught a hole in the top of our tent, which could have ruined our reception since it was going to rain that day. So she called the tent company for me and got them to fix the problem. Then that Saturday morning, of what was supposed to be our actual wedding day, they were calling for severe thunderstorms all day and tornadoes. I had burst into tears because I knew that no one would want to come to our outdoor wedding with those conditions and that it would be impossible to change the day that last minute, but the weather was supposed to be perfect the next day, so I attempted to do what I thought was going to be impossible. Lauren was the first vendor I called. I told myself that if I could get her on board then I was going to go through with changing the day. She very quickly got back to me and assured me that they could change the day to Sunday! The weather was absolutely beautiful! And the food was perfect!! We were so so thankful for Goodrich catering, because otherwise we would've had to go through with what could have been a very disastrous wedding day, instead of having the incredible one we did! Love them and would definitely recommend them to anyone!!!

First and foremost, Goodrich is fantastic to work with; Lauren was very prompt in her communication with us, but more importantly she listened and accommodated exactly what we requested. Lauren made a point to visit our venue 2 weeks prior to our wedding to make sure everything would go smoothly when they arrived. The food was great and the staff very friendly. Boxing the leftovers up in the insulated picnic basket was just icing on the cake. I look forward to working with them again and recommend others to use Goodrich Gourmet.

What can i say about Goodrich Catering ?!? Hands down they are amazing. I worked with Lauren Goodrich to plan out my catering. She made the process very stress free for me. She dealt with my multiple different menu changes to help me find the perfect menu for my wedding. She worked directly with my venue in coordinating the time she could arrive to set up eliminating the unwanted stress of me being a middleman between the two. She returns all emails or calls in a timely manner, she just amazing!!!!

Now for the food! Cheh Josh prepared the best wedding meal i have every had. My guest couldn't get enough of the brushetta and shrimp grits and all of the other hors 'doeuvres we had! The staff were bringing out the food very quickly that you didn't have to search for them for the food. For the main course we had tilapia with a red pepper sauce and chicken marsala. The tilapia was to die for and sooo many people keep asking how he mad the fish taste so lemony. The marsala was amazing as well. They use a diffrent method other then the dark marsala wine which gives the recipie a whole other outlook.

Overall i was amazed by how great Goodrich was and i would recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer. I wouldn't hestiate in using them again!

Goodrich Gourmet is THE best caterer I encountered. The food is FANTASTIC. We used them for my wedding and I was so impressed. They worked with my budget without complaint and ran with my vision. The tasting was a fun experience and they were really open to all of our questions about how we could adjust the food. They provided all the dishes and glasses and utensils and linens, making it REALLY easy to get everything settled since I didn't have to have a ton of different vendors for it all. They were prompt in getting us the proposals and keeping us updated/checking things with us and very professional while being comfortable and friendly to work with. Lauren is really sweet and really good at her job, I absolutely loved working with her. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for a caterer, not just for weddings!

Lauren and Dale of Goodrich Gourmet Catering are the BEST! My daughter was getting married in Virginia and her Mother and I live in Florida. This meant coordinating everything over the phone. Lauren was prompt with all quotes, emails and phone calls. A lot of our calls took place outside the conventional business hours and days. We went through about four revisions on our event menu before we finally decided. Lauren was extremely patient with our requests and concerns and very accommodating. On the day of the wedding her team was on time and prepared. Our venue consisted of 110 guests. Lauren and team kept everything flowing. We never ran out of food and numerous comments from our guest on the quality! From the bacon wrapped scallops to the awesome Mac & Cheese bar everything was delicious and hot! At one point we ran out of White Wine... Lauren came and asked if I would like her to get more to which we said "Yes"! It seemed like only a few minutes had passed and the bar was flowing white and red again. They have an eclectic menu that will rock your taste buds! You owe it to yourself to call Lauren and Dale for any of your catering needs. With Goodrich Gourmet you get service and quality that are both off the charts.

I could not have ask for more! Goodrich catering was PERFECT and exactly what we wanted. Easy to work with, great at communication, delivered exactly what was promised and it was all so delicious! I wish I could have them cater my dinner at home every night. :)

They even checked on me (the bride) during the wedding to make sure I was getting enough of the food I wanted and if I needed anything else. At the end of the night they gave us a picnic basket filled with each type of food to take to our hotel room with us. I highly recommend the buffalo chicken triangles. That was my favorite!

We cannot thank Goodrich Gourmet enough for all they did for us! Lauren was so flexible and easy to work with. I honestly believe our day wouldn't have been the same without ALL of their assistance and direction! Lauren and her staff truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was in it's place, and to make sure that we had an opportunity to actually eat. We could not have been happier to have found Goodrich Gourmet and have them cater our wedding. After our initial catering meetings with vendors from our venue's suggested caterer list, we had not yet picked a caterer and came across Goodrich Gourmet. I sent an email to the address listed on their website and promptly received response from Lauren to set up a tasting. The tasting was complimentary and were welcomed to Goodrich's kitchen in Richmond, where we were seated and presented with a tasting menu. Chef Dale was upfront with us saying that he had never made empanadas we requested, but was going to give them a go and presented us with three different delicious samples to try. We also had not planned on having a salad at our wedding, but were given a strawberry summer salad as part of the tasting. It was so good, we added it to our menu on the spot! Lauren talked us through the pricing and necessary linens, silverware, and glassware throughout the tasting, matching styles and colors to fit our wedding theme and preferences. When Lauren sent us the quote the following day, we were floored that the quote was right in our budget range!

Lauren contacted me a couple of weeks before the wedding to do a site visit. I had never heard of this before and wasn't familiar with it, but it proved to be very helpful. We traveled to the venue site to walkthrough where things would be set up, floorplan for tables, where the bar would be set up, etc. Our venue was about 2.5 hours away from where we lived, so it we had to do some quick planning to set this up, but Lauren was very accommodating.

The day of the wedding, we had a miscommunication that had us not having tablecloths for our event. I called Lauren and she said no problem. Tablecloths were procured for us and set up for dinner, crisis averted! At the end of the wedding, we were left with a nice basket and note from Lauren and the Goodrich team, along with all the leftovers! Highly Recommend. Thank you!

Goodrich Gourmet was a fantastic choice as the caterer for our wedding! Dale and Lauren were always attentive to our questions and responded back very quickly to any and all questions we had leading up to the big day. I have heard stories about how difficult caterers can be, but I wouldn't have known it based on the great service we received. Their prices were very reasonable, especially based on the other caterers we looked at. When you combine that with the top notch service and professionalism we received I doubt we could have picked a better caterer. The food was wonderful and our guests had nothing but great things to say about it. With only 6 days until our wedding day I realized I had forgotten to order hor d'oeuvres and asked Lauren if we could still place an order, and of course they were more than happy to help us despite the short notice. After having to end a contract with a different wedding caterer due to very negative circumstances, we found Goodrich Gourmet on this website and were amazed by the excellent reviews about their food and service. We began speaking with them about possibly catering our wedding in May, 2012, and after going to their office for a tasting about 4 months before the wedding, we decided to hire them for both the wedding and the rehearsal dinner.

In planning the catering for both events over a period of about 4.5 months, Goodrich Gourmet was very helpful, organized, and responsive via email. When there was some confusion at the tasting about the pricing (we had been initially quoted something that was incorrect by one of their representatives who no longer worked for the company), Goodrich Gourmet honored this arrangement and worked with us to be sure we were happy and the events would run smoothly. We were very pleased that all of the pricing information was clear and there were no "hidden costs" with hiring staff, taxes, cake cutting, or anything like that. Additionally, we loved how they worked with us to make sure the events flowed as they should (in relation to the food) and the presentation would fit our vision (such as spreading leaves on the buffet table). They always answered all of our questions, and we also appreciated their expertise when it came to overall logistics and the catering questions in general.

As for the actual catering at the events, they were early to both events and everything was set up and organized just as we had discussed. For our rehearsal dinner, we had Virginia barbecue with cole slaw, baked beans, and cookies. We had our hearts set on Carolina-style barbecue, but were absolutely blown away by Dale's (the chef) Virginia-style barbecue, and our guests said the same exact thing. This was perhaps the best barbecue we've ever had, which is saying a lot as we pride ourselves on trying as many different types of barbecue as we can throughout the US. We also appreciated Goodrich Gourmet's willingness to make some gluten-free barbecue for our gluten-intolerant guests (and for packaging it up separately, so it was easy for them to find). We were also appreciative of their willingness to tell us what was gluten-free for both events about 5 days before, so we could notify our gluten-intolerant guests, and they also included vegetarian signs on their food cards for each food item at the wedding reception, so our vegetarian guests knew what options they had.

Moving on to the catering for the wedding, we enjoyed the fruit & vegetable platter, crab balls, & barbecue meatballs for appetizers, all of which were absolutely phenomenal. We had people who have eaten seafood all their lives saying the crab balls were the best they've ever had, and the meatballs were amazing as well. Plus, Goodrich Gourmet was willing to make hummus for an additional dip option for the vegetables, which we really appreciated given that we are both fans of hummus. Moving on to the dinner, we decided to have a buffet-style dinner, since we had about 100 guests and an outdoor reception under a tent. We started with a spinach salad with strawberries and candied walnuts, which was delicious. For the entrees, we went with tilapia, pasta w/ spinach and mushrooms, and herb-roasted chicken, and for the sides, we had the honey-glazed carrots, wild rice, and rolls. To be honest, the chicken and the pasta were probably our favorites, although everything was spectacular and our guests repeatedly complimented us on the food. We also appreciated how they made 2 dinner plates for the bride & groom and delivered it to us just as we entered the tent (we missed the start of dinner because we were taking pictures). We didn't ask for this, but they did it anyways! Finally, for the cake, they were willing to cut the cake in the kitchen and place it on the buffet table for our guests to take, and they also made sure to bring us an extra piece of cake (since we only cut ourselves one during the cake-cutting extravaganza). They were also willing to deliver two gluten-free cupcakes to our two gluten-intolerant guests, which really meant a lot to us.

Also, we decided to have a family friend serve as the bartender for the event, but we wanted to have a second bartender work the first 1-2 hours of the wedding reception, when the guests drink the most. When we asked Goodrich Gourmet if they were willing to have a staff member begin as a bartender and then transition into a server later in the event (to avoid hiring more people, thus saving us money), they were willing to do this. We also decided to provide our own alcohol and drinks, which they did not have a problem with, and they even answered some of our questions related to the bar, even though they weren't getting paid for this. That really meant a lot to us, as it shows that they were willing to go above and beyond to help us with our event.

Overall, we were very happy with Goodrich Gourmet. The food was incredible (Dale is a phenomenal chef!), the service was amazing (we loved working with Anne!), and we would definitely recommend Goodrich Gourmet for weddings and other events! This was probably the best food we've ever had at a wedding, and we can't believe that we were able to do this while still staying within our budget (which Goodrich Gourmet respected and worked with us on).

I was in a pretty bad situation when it came to caterers. I was not having any luck finding someone for our wedding date/or had experienced horrible customer service from other vendors. My husband and I had a small wedding before having our big ceremony in July. He was deployed and all the planning was up to me as well as planning a move, working full time caring for two kids with one on the way so I had reached the end of the road and then found Goodrich Gourmet. I called left a message and Dale called me back immediately. Not only was he super fast at responding to me, he and his employees responded to all my emails so quickly, they provided superb service and awesome food. I can't say enough good things about them. The staff were super friendly and helpful with suggestions to make our reception even better. I love how friendly they are and I am forever grateful to their quick responses that made my wedding dreams come true. Thank you all!!!

Dale and Erin were a pleasure to work with. Our reception was about 70 people and Goodrich Gourmet made it amazing. Everyone raved about the crabpuffs and italian meatballs. The setup was beautiful and they really take pride in their work. They also bartended the event as well as did set up and clean up. They were incredibly reasonable and easy to work with. They did a fantastic job! The fact that Dale and Erin were always available by phone or email was a lifesaver. James and Erin were there an hour and half before the event started getting everything in order. It was a very elegant reception thanks to them.

Dale and his team catered an engagement party I threw for my sister-in-law and the food was phenomenal! It was honestly the talk of the party and even now, two weeks later, guests are still mentioning the meatballs and asking about the caterer because they want to track down the recipe for the Kicked Up Ham Biscuits! Goodrich Gourmet will be my go-to caterer for any party I throw from here on out. The food was excellent and the service was reliable - once the order was booked I didn't have to think about a thing. The food was Amazing. I would highly recommend the kabobs and stuffed mushrooms. The Fruit and Veggie trays were fresh and looked great. We used Goodrich for our 150-person wedding at the Science Museum in downtown Richmond. They were absolutely awesome! We got so many compliments on the food. They helped us create a Southern-themed menu, with DELICIOUS shrimp and grits appetizers and fish and chicken main dishes. They can do buffet, plated, or family style meals (the family style was the best value for us, and was just fun). They easily accommodated all our vegetarian friends and kid's meals with no problems. The service was excellent and the value fair. We especially liked that they packed up a picnic basket of leftovers for us to enjoy the next day!!!

We got married at Fairview Farm, which, at the time we booked, included Goodrich Gourmet and IK Catering as its preferred vendors. We initially went with IK because their deal with Fairview included an open-bar; however, we were disappointed with IK's unresponsiveness, so we switched to Goodrich. Lucky for us because they far exceeded our expectations! I'd also like to add that we had a Sunday wedding, which meant a day-of rehearsal. Goodrich worked with us to provide an amazing rehearsal brunch for everyone who had to be onsite early.

Choosing our menu options was easy, and they included a private tasting for the two of us and up to four guests. Goodrich is extremely flexible, and they let us make changes to the menu as we got closer to the wedding. I would also like to add that their open-bar option was a great value. We paid for their basic package to keep prices down; however, we were surprised to seem some good brands on display during both cocktail hour and dinner. As far as beer and wine, they let you choose three wines and three beers (two domestics and one craft). For wine, we went with Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Moscato. For beer, we went with Yuengling, Miller Lite, and Great Return (a local West Coast IPA from Hardywood Park). Goodrich DOES NOT upcharge for your craft beer selection, unlike many other caters; although, your craft beer selection has to be reasonable--obviously they would upcharge if you requested something like 120 Minute IPA.

On top of great food and drink, the staff was extremely courteous and professional. Immediately after the ceremony when everyone not in the bridal party gets to enjoy cocktail hour, two members from Goodrich Gourmet brought over food and drinks for us while we took pictures. No one requested this; they simply did it on their own, and they apparently do so for all weddings. At the end of the night, they also packed us a picnic basket full of food from dinner. Goodrich provided catering and rentals for our wedding. They were so organized and responsive to all of my "what if we do this?" emails. This was the biggest single expense for our wedding, so it was great always having the estimate to refer to when budgeting. The day of, they handled everything from set up to tear down without a hitch. My biggest fear for my wedding was that I would spend the whole evening coordinating everyone, but the entire staff worked with my other vendors so I could just hang spend time with my friends and family, enjoying the night. I'd asked for a to-go box for my husband and I and they gave us a picnic basket full of food from the buffet! It was so thoughtful and perfect. They handled all of our special food requests so all of our guests had a lovely meal.

I received several compliments on the spinach ricotta lasagna, and the chicken marsala as well. On the day of the wedding I did not need to worry about whether food was set up on time or whether the caterer's knew what to do, they had things completely under control the entire time, which I was very grateful for, and they did an excellent job helping with clean up at the end of the night. Prior to the wedding, Lauren was very patient and helpful with the site visit, my constant emails, and helping me set up a schedule for the reception. Choosing a caterer was among the most stressful decisions for us, and we are very glad that we went with Goodrich!

We had hors devours , a full buffet dinner and ice cream sunday bar at our wedding. Dale gave us reasonable prices and went above and beyond to help us with special requests. The food itself was delicious, all of our guests raved at how good everything was! I have personally recomended him to two other engaged couples who are using him and I will continue to do so. I had absolutely no worries the day of, and everyone was professional and friendly. I again cant put into words how good the food itself was, it is 2 weeks later and my friends and family are still talking about it. You can definately tell things are made by scratch and fresh. The bruschetta and the fetuccini were amazing.

Great Service

They did an amazing job at making sure my husband and I were fed and always had a drink in our hands. Even when I kept putting mine down! The kids food was wonderful and the beef was too. The chicken was a little dry but the veggies and baked potato made up for it! Thank you!

Goodrich Gourmet is the best handsdown! They were so helpful during the entire process and they really went above and beyond during the reception. The servers and bartenders were extremely professional. The food was amazing, I am still receiving compliments from my guests. Dale and Lauren even took the time to step in when my wedding "coordinator" was not doing her job. I would recommend them time and time again!
