Highly recommend Golden Gate Studio!

We highly recommend Golden Gate Studios for your wedding flowers! From the first appointment Jay made you feel like family. He was so professional, kind and welcoming and assured you that you would have your dream wedding flowers. We had one face to face meeting and multiple calls to go over all the details. He worked with your budget and gave you his honest opinion. Jay came up to my bridal suite the morning of my wedding delivering me my bouquet and it truly was beautiful. He took the time to attach a memory charm I had made and I truly am so grateful for all of his kind energy that day. He was also able to stay after our ceremony and re use some flowers for our reception. He was such a fun person to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process and we truly could not recommend him enough for your wedding!!

Incredible Florist

Jay has an amazing vision for any wedding day. He was able to look through my wife's vision boards and understand exactly what we wanted. We sat down in his shop and he translated our vision into a definitive plan for the wedding day. He created incredible bouquets for everyone involved in our wedding party. The bridal bouquet was perfect. Our church and venue were absolutely gorgeous. If you're planning on using Aldrich Mansion, Jay is basically the house florist for the venue and knows exactly how to dress up the venue. We would use Jay again in a heartbeat, he was incredible. He is a true artist.

Everything was perfect!

Jay created a gorgeous display and met my vision perfectly for my special day. He was extremely helpful in planning a wedding from out of state. All of the flowers were fresh and beautifully arranged from the ceremony to the cocktail hour and reception. Jay is a full service florist and stays through the ceremony to relocate the flowers to the cocktail hour and reception. The beautiful sprays from our arbor looked stunning on our cake and sweetheart tables. He pinned up all of the men and mothers and made sure everything was perfect! We highly recommend Jay for any event and would use him again in the future.

Stunning floral arrangements paired with incredible skill and kindness from the Golden Gate Studios team

As a person who had no idea what type of flowers I wanted, or where I wanted them, Jay and his team at Golden Gate made all of those choices one of the easiest things about wedding planning. A long-time expert in his field, Jay is amazing to work with, and his floral pieces show it. With plenty of picture books showing examples of arrangements and colors when you meet with him, Jay helps you create your vision, and thinks of all the little things that you may not have thought about. From arranging in-person meetings, to us calling to ask questions and make small changes, Jay was so considerate of our schedules and changes, and managed it all with stride. His expertise is first-class, and arrangements are truly a work of art.

Most amazing flowers!!!

We had the best experience working with Jay and his team at Golden Gate! He was extremely responsive, very flexible and took my many calls as we made some last minute changes. Everyone at our wedding still talks about the flowers at our wedding as the most beautiful part of our venue! You can't go wrong working with Jay, highly recommend!!!

Perfection!

Look no further than Golden Gate Studios! Jay and his entire team created absolutely show stopping centerpieces for our wedding.

After meeting with Jay and giving only a few sample pictures and colors, Jay designed some of the most beautiful florals I could have ever imagined. With a true eye for detail, the entire team at Golden Gate turned an idea into a breath taking display. Jay was very familiar with our venue (Providence Public Library) and ensured there were accents for each space we used. From the staircase, to our ceremony, down to the cocktail tables - every floral was unique and cohesive.

Stunning flowers, friendly staff

We loved working with Golden Gate Studios for our September 2022 wedding. We had a consultation with Jay where we talked about our colors and vision for what we wanted. He has a great expertise and was flexible with the types of arrangements we wanted. Good communication, delivery to our venue spaces and hotel. Beautiful, Fresh Flowers!

Jay and his team are true professionals in every sense of the word. They are thoughtful, patient, kind and true artists. Jay takes his time to write out exactly what he plans to provide you down to the color of the wrap on the bridesmaids bouquets. He makes a sample centerpiece to make sure your visions are aligned before the big day and is always open to questions, changes and suggestions. Our wedding was in southern NH and that didn't deter them at all, Jay and his team are nothing short of amazing and are an obvious choice for your wedding florist!

Beautiful Quality Flowers! - Highly Recommend!

Golden Gate Studios was a great vendor to work with. We heard about Golden Gate Studios by winning a bridal bouquet through a raffle at Baxter’s Jewelers. After sitting down with Jay at our consultation, we instantly knew we were in great hands. Jay is great to work with, very professional, and has a pleasant personality. We were provided a complimentary centerpiece trial which ended up looking gorgeous. On our wedding day, the florist arrived on time and stayed through the ceremony to ensure the reception flowers were in place before leaving. The flowers were stunning and exactly how we envisioned everything looking. Also, the flowers were well watered and did not die or wilt. Lastly, Golden Gate Studios are reasonably priced and worth every penny! We would recommend them!!

Jay and his team are incredible! My husband and I were lucky enough to work with Jay twice now…once for our wedding ceremony in July 2020 and now for our wedding reception in December 2021. Jay’s arrangements are a work of art. He puts so much love and attention into his floral designs and it shows. Jay and his team were fantastic to work with. Absolutely Beautiful Flowers!

We worked with Jay at Golden Gate Studios to customize our beautiful centerpieces. We weren't that couple the knew exactly what we wanted so we had to describe the feeling we were going for and Jay helped us get to the exact flowers that gave us that feel. We also had the gazebo for the ceremony decorated with flowers and they were just amazing. We even used those same flowers at our sweetheart table and everything complimented so nicely. I'm so thankful to Jay and his group for helping us find what we wanted and guiding us to such a fantastic end result. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend Jay and Golden Gate Studios.

Golden Gate is lovely!!

I would totally recommend Golden Gate for your wedding! Jay and his team made our wedding in Novemeber absolutely beautiful. We did a fall themed wedding with a pop of color and everything was just perfect. The color scheme was gorgeous and it was everything I envisioned! Jay's prices were definitely fair wedding pricing and he was always super easy to reach by phone! We met with him twice throughout the process and got to see a sample of our centerpieces before the big day! On the day of they were there early and everything was in order! Absolutely would recommend Golden Gate!!

Fantastic Experience

Golden Gate and Jay were fantastic to work with! They were always quick to respond, and worked within our budget. Their flexibility was key when our guest count came in much lower than expected due to COVID, and our table layout changed a month before the wedding. The flowers came out beautifully! Saved by Golden Gate Florists

2 months before the wedding, we had to cut ties with our first florist. Our Newport, RI venue POC recommended Jay and Melissa from Golden Gate Florists in Cranston, RI. We were panicked, but Jay and Melissa could not have been better! They are so professional, so accommodating, so knowledgeable and so fun! Jay made us feel so confident and I never worried about the flowers again! They do the most prestigious weddings in RI and Southeastern Massachusetts, but fit us into their schedule. The flowers turned out to be spectacular, everyone was amazed! They decorated outside for the ceremony and inside for the reception, helped us stick to our budget and they were no more expensive than any other florists that I contacted. You will be so pleased!!!!!

The best florist ever

Jay & Golden Gate Studios were everything I could've hoped for in a florist. I price shopped a lot and was so frustrated with prices until I found Golden Gate Studios and took a breath of relief. He was great the first time around planning our wedding and was so flexible when we had to postpone and move our venue. He was always able to read my emails, have a quick phone call, or bounce some new ideas off of. I gasped when they delivered my bouquet the morning of our wedding I was so impressed. I highly recommend and do recommend this florist to anyone I can!

Amazing Florist!

If you are looking for a florist you should absolutely go with Jay. I went to a wedding expo and saw Jay’s work there and thought it was absolutely beautiful. I knew I wanted him to be our florist. When we met with Jay I wasn’t quite sure what types of flowers I wanted but I knew the color. Jay was able to help me decide what I wanted and what he thought would look nice together. He was extremely helpful and that really took the pressure off! Due to COVID we had to postpone our wedding and Jay was extremely accommodating. My husband and I actually did get married last year and my dad contacted him to see if he would still make a small bouquet for me. He did and it was stunning. After postponing our wedding to this year there were some slight changes we had to make and Jay was on top of it. He went above and beyond to make not only my flowers beautiful but my centerpieces, cake and toss bouquet. I got so many compliments on my cascading bouquet and they look gorgeous in the photos. You can definitely tell Jay loves his job and he is excellent at it. You should absolutely book him for your wedding!

Great experience

Jay from Golden Gate studious loves what he does and it shows through his work and how interacts with his customers. He was such a professional who came highly recommended from our venue. He had great ideas and wanted to make sure our day was as beautiful as could be. We had to postpone our wedding and our number of guests changed and Jay was flexible and so understanding and helped trouble shoot our changes. Absolutely amazing

A friend who had also used Golden Gate Studios recommended them and I am SO SO glad that we used Jay and his team.
Working with this vendor was super easy and flexible. He was able to keep us in budget and recommend flowers and colors etc.
The flowers day of were STUNNING. I was shocked. They were so beautifully decorated and put together! It made our venue pop dramatically and everyone commented on it. Honestly gorgeous!
We ended up giving away a lot of flowers and people were so happy to take them home since they were stunning.

I can't say enough good things, we will definitely be using their services again for any future parties or events. 10/10!

Beautiful Flowers

From the first day I contacted Jay until the day of my wedding, Golden Gate Florist was determined to provide us with the most beautiful flowers for our wedding day. My mother and I met with Jay back in February 2020 when we were blissfully unaware of how hectic the wedding planning would soon become (global pandemic and all). He took the time to get to know me and understand what vision I had for my day. I'll be honest, I don't know much about flowers (I like roses/hydrangeas and knew I liked white and blush...that was all I gave him). Jay put together a list of all the different florals and greenery that would go into our centerpieces and bouquets and wrote down ever detail for me. He is so talented, a true artist, and such a pleasure to work with. When things became challenging and our venue/guest list changed, Jay worked with me and changed my entire bill and number of centerpieces, etc. with no hesitation. I could not be more pleased with the organization and hard work that went into the florals for our wedding. It brought our day to life and I am so grateful to Jay and his wife for all their help!

THE BEST - better than the Pinterest board you saved

We have been through the ringer with COVID and wedding planning. We booked with Jay at Golden Gate about a year ago... first place we checked and it was an automatic look no further type of deal. I showed him my Pinterest board and not only did he do everything I imagined but WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND. Our friends keep saying our wedding floral etc would have our done any Pinterest inspo! I will post pics once I have!!
Our wedding was definitely not easy due to COVID. Our original venue changed the date and then canceled on us 10 days before the event. I basically cried to jay and he kept saying stop worrying we will make this happen. And he did!!! Pretty sure he put a call in to help us out to get OceanCliff :) He wasn’t only my florist but my go to for any issues I had during planning. I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you to Jay and everyone at golden gate for making our wedding everything and more than I visioned!

Flower arrangements were stupendous and service was unsurpassed

Jay from Golden Gate Studio is not only a true artist when it comes to flower arranging and design, he is one of the kindest most generous people I’ve ever met. I cannot say enough about the experience I had with Golden Gate Studio. The flowers were something out of a movie and exceeded my expectations, the customer service was the best I’ve ever received and the pricing was more than competitive compared to other florists in the area. Wonderful experience with Golden Gate

We met Jay the day we visited our venue in Middletown, RI and knew immediately that we had to work with him. Not only is his work stunning, but he is the nicest and most accommodating person. One of the best things about Golden Gate is they are a full service floral studio--they go above and beyond. They will pin on the guys' boutonnieres and, if your ceremony flowers are being repurposed for your reception, they will stay until after the ceremony to make sure everything is perfect. Jay's entire team is wonderful. Kristi did our flowers and everything looked beautiful and exactly how we envisioned. She even put together a sample centerpiece for me to look at a couple months before our wedding. I can't recommend Golden Gate enough!

Beautiful arrangements, amazing to work with

Golden Gate Florists were highly recommended by our vendor (Foster Country Club), and we were not disappointed. We met with Jay twice - first for the consultation and the second time to see a sample of our centerpieces. They were easy to work with, flexible, and fit within our budget. They were worth every penny. When we lost two prominent family members and asked for a way to honor them, Jay arranged for white roses to be placed around our memory table (one rose for each lost loved one), and it was beautifully done. We cannot recommend Golden Gate enough.

Great experience using Golden Gate Studios

We hired Golden Gate Studios for floral arrangements, candles, and archway designs for our ceremony and reception. Jay is wonderful to work with and is very passionate about his work! I found the staff at Golden Gate to be very flexible and listened to my wishes but were very helpful in offering suggestions without going over the desired budget. The arrangements were beautifully created and we were extremely happy with our choice of Golden Gate Studios for our wedding!

Excellent experience

We could not have been happier with our choice to go with Golden Gate Studios for our wedding florals. Jay was absolutely amazing to work with – he’s super friendly, helpful, and knows how to get things done! He always had great suggestions based off what we asked of him, and very quickly figured out exactly what we were looking for and how to make it happen. Incredible flowers!!!

We are so thankful we chose to go with Jay and his team for our wedding day! They easily handled florals for every aspect of the day and clearly love what they do SO much. From our first meeting, Jay easily understood what I was looking for and perfectly created my nitpicky Pinterest board with ease. I honestly never once worried about our flowers even though they were the most important design detail of my day. Golden Gate are some of the most reasonably priced florists we found and delivered an incredible product. An extra added bonus is the ability to pay with a credit card!!!

Exceptional customer service and amazing work!!!

It was a no brainer when I booked with Golden Gate Studios. During my first appointment they totally got my vision and knew exactly what I wanted. Jay never had a problem whenever I called to make a change or ask a question. When I asked he gave me his honest opinions which was so helpful. I wanted real flowers on my cake and my bakery requested me to drop off fresh flowers the day before my wedding for the cake, so Jay offered to deliver the flowers himself to help me out. These guys are so helpful and really care about each wedding they participate in. All my centerpieces, boutonnières and bouquets were affordable, incredible and simply perfect. I cannot thank them enough for their hard work and dedication.

Beyond beautiful and creative!

Golden Gate Florists did an absolute fabulous job for our wedding! Jay created all the bouquets, floral arrangement, table centerpieces with little guidance from us. Amazing flowers and people

I was recommended Golden Gate for my flowers from a friend who had been to several weddings in RI that used them. I have to say I would recommend them for anyone in the area needing flowers for their wedding. Jay was amazing to deal with and he kept the flowers within our budget and they looked GORGEOUS!! Easy to work with

The perfect option!

We found Golden Gate studios at a wedding expo, and ever since day 1 Jay has been perfect! He is such an amazing an friendly person and he really knows how to put together your flowers. They were always responsive to any questions and we fell in love with our samples. They also do are so quick they stayed on site during my ceremony to move the arrangements from the ceremony to the reception and then at the end were quick to collect them so I did not have to worry about a single thing! all the guests talked about how beautiful and fresh the arrangements were!

Love Golden Gate!

From the moment I met Jay and Farrah, I knew they were the best fit for me as a florist. I'm not big into flowers, and I di not want to spend a lot of money on flowers. I knew I wanted a lot of sunflowers and fall colors, yet I have very little knowledge about flowers. Farrah and Jay knew exactly what to do and made my vision a dream come true. Gorgeous bouquets

Jay was amazing! He had such attention to details and new exactly what would work perfectly with my only request of orange gerbera daisies. My bouquet was beautiful but I gave him a charm to incorporate into the bouquet and what he did with it was the icing on the cake. I am not a huge flower person like some people are, but I knew flowers were essential to have at our wedding. We decided to go with Golden Gate Studios because they were on the list of preferred vendors from our venue (Lake Pearl) and we heard they can do just about anything. The first meeting we had with them down at their location with Jay left us in awe. We were probably most excited about our flowers more than anything else at that point!

Jay asked a lot of questions and was taking notes, and by the end of our meeting, he rattled off a whole bunch of flower types for the bouquets that I've never even heard of, but he seemed so confident and enthused that I trusted him completely. He also did our centerpieces which were GORGEOUS! I still have guests telling me how beautiful our centerpieces were. They were large gold tree branches that came out of a flower box base with 2-3 votive candles hanging off the branches. They were breathtaking!

We talked about the bouquets months and months before the wedding, and you don't know how they will look until that day. Let me tell you... I was getting ready in the bridal suite, and my mom was lacing up my dress, and I had my back to the door when they arrived. All of the girls "OOH'd" and "AHH'd," and I couldn't turn around to see them. She placed them on the couch in front of me, and I think I nearly cried. Weird for someone who's not big into flowers, right? They were beautiful! Oranges and reds and yellows. I wanted them bright and vibrant and Autumn-y, and they were JUST that. I could not be happier with Golden Gate. They are very reasonably priced, and you get a LOT for your money. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Good wedding flowers are hard to come by. An amazing florist that can deliver those flowers is even harder to find, but Jay and his wife Melissa at Golden Gate Studio are definitely super stars! The moment we walked in, we had a gut feeling that Jay was different from other wedding flower vendors. Other vendors we've consulted with always doubted our opinions, forced us flowers we didn't want, or were simply too darn expensive. At Golden Gate Studios, requests are met, recommendations for creative flower arrangements are discussed, and prices are very reasonable. Jay walked through every single design for flower arrangements for our wedding, and made sure not to miss out on even the tiniest detail. He was open to modifications and requests throughout the planning phase, and was very accommodating with our requests.

We also had Jay do flower arrangements for the bride's bridal shower, which were equally as amazing. The photos, while they don't do justice to how amazing they looked in person, speak for themselves. There's simply no better florist out there that can deliver such beautiful arrangements for special occasions.

The team at Golden Gate was incredible! Jay and Farrah were always available for questions prior to the wedding. Our consultation was easy and they knew our vision from the start! Our flowers came out incredible. Everything looked stunning! They came to several locations the day of our wedding to deliver the flowers. Everything was labelled perfectly and we knew whose flowers belonged to who. I would recommend this florist! They were awesome and all so passionate about their work! We recently had Golden Gate Studios as our florist for our wedding. Everything was absolutely GORGEOUS! The centerpieces were extraordinary and fit the theme of our wedding perfectly! Attentive to requests, knowledgeable, thorough and detailed with respect to our wedding (i.e., venue, colors, etc.), Jay was extremely easy to work with. We scheduled meetings on several occasions to which were always met promptly and on time. Constructive exchanges, no hesitation on answering questions, and over time, able to provide set-up examples and the flower-types that would be used, Jay was a pleasure to work with towards arranging flowers for the bridal party, the ceremony, and the table centerpieces and mantles, as well as lanterns around the venue. We recommend beforehand to come with ideas, bringing examples of floral arrangements, if possible, at the venue you plan to use and/or incorporate your wedding colors. Doing this, during our first meeting, Jay listened to us intently, making notes throughout our thought discussion and of the ideas we proposed, at the end providing to us everything we could ever imagine in amazing clarity and detail.

I didn't know what to do for my bouquet! I asked Jay to use include a burgundy color, some proteas and that was it. He used his talents to create a beautiful bouquet for my wedding day! Golden Gate was VERY easy to work with, extremely thorough and I really felt that they cared about me as a customer. My flowers were beautiful, exactly what I wanted and we stayed under budget. I'll definitely be using them for all my future events!

He met with me to discuss my vision, then let us come back for a preview to make sure everything was going to be perfect. The flowers at the wedding were so gorgeous! They were delivered right to our venue, and they moved the ceremony decor inside to add to the reception! I can't recommend Golden Gate enough.

I dealt with Jay Lane, owner of Golden Gate, when I chose my flowers for my wedding. He was great!
Initially I saw GG's booth at a wedding show where I met 2 of his staff, both of which were very help and nice; Then my husband and I had a meeting with Jay which went very smoothly. Before my husband & I walked into our meeting with Jay, we had a number in mind that we didn't want to go over, as we didn't want to spend alot of money on flowers for our wedding - without even knowing the number, Jay came in right under it! His services included a free Toss Bouquet and delivery of flowers to the location in which I was getting ready, where the groom was getting ready and setting up the ceremony flowers to which he then moved to the reception. Each time I called the shop, he answered and was extremely easy to deal with. The flowers looked great and lasted for 2+ weeks after the big day! Very pleased and would recommend!

My caterer recommended Golden Gate and I was really happy she did! I met with Farrah-she took a million of my Pinterest ideas, listened to what I liked, and put it all together to create EXACTLY what I wanted for our wedding day. Never once did we feel pressured to spend more than what we wanted, they worked with our budget and still gave us gorgeous arrangements at the ceremony, all of the bouquets were exactly what I wanted, the centerpieces and Farrah found the perfect way to use flowers at our reception that made all the difference. Thank you for taking the time to make our wedding day that much more beautiful, Farrah! Also Jay-the owner, so nice!!! I loved talking to him about Europe and his travel experience, he gave great recommendations for our honeymoon. Truly nice people to work with!

Jay, there are no words to describe how amazing my flowers were... I didn't have to say much for Jay to capture my vision. He's a doll to work with too!! And just when I thought he couldn't get any better, a week before my wedding, a close family member passed suddenly and Jay not only made, but DELIVERED two GORGEOUS arrangements to the funeral parlor and my family member's house. There are no words to express how happy I was with Golden Gate Studios for our wedding. Of all our wedding vendors this has to be what I was most happiest with. From the moment I met Jay I knew he would be a joy to work with. I told him exactly what I wanted and exactly what I could afford and he made it work. Other florists quoted me triple for what I asked for. He was super honest with me and even gave me a sample centerpiece to take home. Golden Gate did such an amazing job with our flowers for our Nov 19th wedding. We were so nervous that we wouldn't have many choices for being so late in the season but they did an unbelievable job with our bouquets, centerpieces, and altar arrangements. We highly recommend them!

I am not sure where to start so I will make it simple! Jay and his staff are beyond words. Our daughter and son in law's floral designs not have been amy more amazing. Jay captured their wishes for a fall theme - the colors, arrangements and quality were amazing. So amazing that I can attest that the centerpieces lasted 2 full weeks after the wedding. Price point is well within budget and the level of attention and care is highest quality. Jay also helped me with her bridal shower and there too quality, price and design were so beautiful. I could go on but I think you get my point....Golden Gate should be your florist of choice!

I was recently married on October 9th. I cannot say enough about Golden Gate studios. I am familiar with many vendors in the wedding industry and Jay Lane and the good people of Golden Gate helped make my wedding absolutely beautiful. I have always recommended Golden Gate as the premier florist in the region, but when it was time for my big day they were simply unbelievable. Jay Lane is an absolutely wonderful man and the effort and precision he and his team put into their craft is unmatched. Every detail of our flowers were perfect and my wife was overcome with emotion at how beautiful her bouquet and our centerpieces were. I could go on for a long time, but if you aren't choosing Golden Gate, you aren't getting the best flowers with best presentation, made by the best people! Thank you Golden Gate.

Working with Golden Gate & Jay was one of the best experiences we had in regards to wedding vendors. Jay is a master of his craft, and was so helpful in planning all the arrangements for our wedding. All of our flowers were stunning and added so much to the wedding day. They are so flexible as well, we even made tweaks to our flowers a few weeks before the wedding. My wedding this past September was located in the gorgeous Roger Williams Park Botanical Center. So I knew I wanted flowers that were not over the top to take away from the beauty of the Botanical Center, but elegant. Jay and his team created beautiful bouquets and more. I am in awe of the flowers every time I look at the photo's. They were perfect! My family and friends even comment at how beautiful the flowers were that day.

One member of his team, Mary, stayed during the ceremony to make sure the flower arrangement from the arbor was displayed in the reception area and a beautiful vase was at the head table for my bouquet. She also fixed my train before I started to walk down the aisle since she was the last person I saw before taking the walk. She was fantastic and so sweet!

The whole experience of working with Jay and his team was perfectly easy. Even when I changed the colors and flower types about a month before hand. They even created beautiful hair clips to create a beautiful botanical look for me. The Studio's prices were on the mark as well. Jay made sure the cost was not something I worried about when there was other things to drive me crazy.

I will forever be raving about the flowers and the easy process it was to work with Golden Gate Studios and will recommend their work to every one I know that may need flowers for an event.

Jay and his staff were very pleasant to work with for our wedding this past summer. From our first brain storming session I knew that Jay could see my vision for that day. I chose to use varied birdcages with garden flowers and greenery draping out as the centerpieces which made the whole look come together. We found Golden Gate Studios from searching the reviews on wedding websites (i.e. theknot, weddingwire). We knew we wanted Jay and Golden Gate Studios to be our florist for our wedding 10 minutes into our initial meeting. After discussing the color scheme and the types of centerpieces, ceremony arrangements, and bouquets, Jay’s years of experience helped guide us the rest of the way. From the types of flowers that are in season and should be used, to how high our center pieces should sit on our tables based on our venue (Regatta Place is a tented venue), we knew we were in good hands. Also, unlike other florists that we met with, Jay was able to provide us a quote directly after our initial meeting. Not only did Jay and Golden Gate Studios execute the vision we had for the flowers, they far exceeded every expectation. I would recommend Golden Gate Studios to anyone looking for a florist. Jay and his team were amazing to work with from the beginning all the way through to the end. He is reasonably priced and does AMAZING work. The flower arrangements were stunning! He came to our hotel to give us our bouquets, set up the church and set up the reception and perfectly timed the whole day. He also did our uplighting which really did make the room that much more beautiful. He had a way to put us all at ease when the stress of wedding planning can sometimes takes over. Jay Lane and his team at Golden Gate are simply the best in the biz! If you are getting married in RI and are considering booking Golden Gate, just do it! They have been in business in Cranston for years, are extremely knowledgeable with all of the RI (and beyond I am sure) wedding venues. I did not have to worry about a thing working with Jay. We had a phone consultation followed by an in person meeting at his shop in Cranston, where we went over the vision and I left with an itemized price list. I put down a deposit and had until 2 weeks or so before the big day to make any changes or add on's. My mother in law ended up hiring him to do the flowers at our rehearsal dinner just a week before the rehearsal dinner! For the day of the wedding, his team was onsite early to present mine and the bridesmaids bouquets, and pin each groomsman, usher, reader, parents, etc. individually before photos. They moved the large chapel arrangements to the reception site after the ceremony, and were onsite after the reception was over to take down the big centerpieces. We basically didn't have to do a thing! The flowers themselves were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. You will not be disappointed if you book Golden Gate!

Jay and his staff were amazing.
On our first meeting with Jay, we sat and chatted for about an hour. Little did we know that that was the conversation that Jay used to build his arrangements according to what we were talking about. We really had no idea what we wanted, but Jay's questions led him to build the most perfect arrangements. We couldn't have been happier with our flower arrangements.
Everyone at the wedding and the reception commented that our flowers were the most beautiful ones that they had ever seen. The centerpieces weren't just flowers- they were artful decorations with mossballs, antique books, and wooden boxes that fit the look that we were going for perfectly.

The customer service, beautiful arrangements, personality of the staff, responsiveness, and flexibility with changes, are just a few things that Golden Gate is AMAZING AT! To me, there are two different types of florists, a florist that just creates a picture and a florist who is a visionary, someone who just by meeting you has an idea of what you are looking for and what you deserve. Golden Gate Studios was an amazing vendor. I met with a number of florists and Jay was the only one who I felt was actually enthusiastic about our vision for the wedding. We wanted to do a variety of different types of floral arrangements for each table using collected bottles, jars, and vases. He was so into the idea and helped us develop of a color palette of gorgeous flowers. He even added more beautiful vases and boxes to the mix of arrangements. The main thing I wanted was a beautiful big bouquet and boy did Jay deliver. I gave him a few photos for inspiration and when my bouquet arrived the morning of the wedding, it exceeded my expectations. Jay also did an amazing job setting up the other items of decor I had purchased and made for the wedding. Lastly, his prices could not be beat. Other florists quoted me almost DOUBLE what Jay had quoted me and some didn't even offer transporting our ceremony flowers to the reception site (whereas Golden Gate did). Overall, flowers were very important to me, but I couldn't afford over $3000. He was great to work with and one of my favorite vendors. Thank you, Jay and your team, for a wonderful wedding day!
