Perfection

Barbara and her team pulled off the perfect wedding for us. From the most incredible cheese table we've ever seen to amazing service to extraordinary desserts, our experience was excellent. Our vision wasn't traditional (cocktail hour first, standing ceremony and champagne toast, formal dinner at long Tuscan tables), and not only did Glorious Affairs understand what we were going for, but also made suggestions that enhanced the whole event. One of their staff even reminded me I had forgotten my bouquet as I was about to walk down the aisle! We would not hesitate to recommend them.

Amazing Experience

We are so glad we were able to work with Glorious Affairs, Barbara, Wendy and their team. They were truly dedicated throughout the entire planning process - incredibly responsive, flexible and helpful. Wendy walked us through the process every step of the way. During our wedding their staff was incredibly professional, kind and joyful! We had someone checking in with us all night to ensure my husband and I had enough food and beverages.
The quality of the food matches the quality of the service. They provide a unique array of options, focused on local and seasonal flavors. We had a hard time choosing options since everything sounded and tasted so fresh. Wendy and Barbara were incredibly helpful through this process!
There are many large scale operations in the area but the experience you get when working with Glorious Affairs is unmatched. They care deeply about each event!

Best caterer out there!!!!

Oh my god, Barbara, Wendy, and her team were absolutely phenomenal!! Another bride hired them for her wedding 8 years ago, and she said how amazing they were, but ultimately, I thought how great can a caterer be, but wow was I wrong! When my husband and I first met with Barbara, we could tell she was going to go above and beyond for our wedding, planning out every little thing with us and providing us with several different options! She told us between her and our venue manager, they would act as our day of coordinators to make sure everything and everyone is organized. We immediately got a good vibe from her and booked right away! Thank god we did, because the pandemic happened and we knew we secured the best caterer around! Our experience with Barbara and her team was nothing short of incredible!! They were constantly communicating with us, even when I changed my mind 100 times, and always checking in with us. Our tasting was amazing and I didn't think the food could be any better, but the day of the wedding, it was truly even better!!! Our appetizers were actually incredible!!! We had so many people back out last minute, that they even gave us both the swordfish and filet mignon for our meal! The swordfish, which can be a tough fish to cook, was the most tender and moist fish I have ever eaten! My husband was so incredibly impressed as swordfish is his favorite fish ever! The filet mignon was a perfect medium rare and was able to be cut with a butter knife! Most people don't eat the sides at a wedding, but people literally cleaned their plates! Even the butternut squash ravioli was incredibly enjoyable!! We even had guests raving about the salads, as they were a large portion and super unique! My husband doesn't even like salads and was actually looking forward to eating the salad again after having it at our tasting! They accommodated us by making a delicious dessert called "The Grey Stuff" which people loved and even got one of my bridesmaids a dairy free dessert! The bartenders came up with my own drink for me through the wedding, Barbara made up a perfect Beauty and the Beast greeting drink to enter cocktail hour with for our guests, and we even received glasses of champagne for our toasts! Now the food and drinks were something to rave about, the staff was truly the best part of Glorious Affairs! Barbara, the owner, was attentive to us and all the little details both throughout the process and on the wedding day! She made sure everything was set up exactly the way I wanted it and kept us on schedule the entire day, especially making sure we ate! Her staff was absolutely perfect at the wedding! We had a server assigned to us all night, bringing us appetizers and drinks throughout the entire cocktail hour while we were taking pictures, and up to the room when I had to bustle my dress, our drinks were never empty at dinner or throughout the reception, and they made sure we were taken care of! Our guests raved about not only the food, but how attentive and helpful the staff was! Her staff even helped with my dress and making sure I never needed anything at any point throughout the night! I honestly could go on and on about Glorious Affairs, but if you want an AMAZING overall caterer, book them!! It will be the best decision you make!!

Best of the best!

Glorious Affairs is the best of the best and we couldn't have asked for a better experience working with Wendy. I remember Wendy telling me that after wedding planning you end up feeling like the people you work with become your family and you're sad to say goodbye to them and it is so true. I am so incredibly thankful for Wendy, Barbara, and the entire Glorious Affairs staff for making our (covid) wedding so incredibly special.

The food options are outstanding - you cannot go wrong with anything you choose and if you have questions Wendy is the best in the business and really knows how to steer you in the right direction. My husband and I had one of the first covid weddings and I got to see first hand how flexible, passionate, dedicated and creative Wendy really is at making sure not only our experience was the best but our guests' experience as well. We had to make lots of changes to how food and beverages could be served based on rules and regulations from the state throughout the months leading up to the wedding (September 2020) and Wendy was there every step of the way making things work with us.

When the wedding was over, we had countless guests tell us this was the best food and service they had ever had at a wedding - delicious food and no one was ever left waiting for their next drink or bite to eat. I hands down owe it all to Wendy and her ability to be creative, flexible, and determined to make our wedding an unforgettable experience.

Incredible food, and wonderful service!

Barbara and her team were incredible to work with, and the food at our wedding was amazing! They did an awesome job helping us to customize our wedding. They didn't bat an eyelash when we asked to incorporate a Brazilian flare - our signature cocktail was the caipirinha (Brazil's national cocktail), and they even made brigadeiros! Our guests couldn't stop raving about how great the food was - even guests with dietary restrictions were handled with ease, and told us how amazing everything was. We're so happy we decided to go with Barbara and the team at Glorious Affairs!

Look no further!

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Glorious Affairs for our Linden Place wedding. Our guest left talking about not only the quality of the food, but how beautiful the presentation was. Wendy and her entire team were nothing short of amazing throughout the entire planning process. My Husband and I never went without a drink in our hand or food being offered from cocktail hour through the end of the night. Whoever says the bride and groom don’t eat during their wedding, obviously did not hire Glorious Affairs! We are so thankful for Wendy and team making our night one we will never ever forget!

Glorious Affairs!

I can't say enough good things about Glorious Affairs. It was amazing to work with Wendy Cobb. She was so helpful since we were planning the wedding from Arizona. She assisted with the menu choices, she was very responsive and helpful in every way throughout the process.
The food that was prepared for over 150 people at the Glen Manor was outstanding. We’ve gotten so many comments on the food that has been served. People have been raving about all courses but especially the appetizers and the salad. The Glorious Affairs team did a wonderful job and our families are forever grateful for everything they did. We made a great decision choosing Glorious Affairs for our special day! If I would do it all over again I wouldn't have even met with any other caterer, these guys are the BEST!

Amazing Experience with Glorious Affairs!

We were SO HAPPY with our choice to go with Glorious Affairs for our September wedding! Wendy was a pleasure to work with and extremely helpful throughout the whole process. We were very particular about what we wanted and she was so patient and accommodating. The day of exceeded our expectations. The family style meal we selected was delicious and our guests raved. The staff and service were also amazing. They made sure every had what they needed and even found me with a tray of appetizers so I could enjoy cocktail hour! Wendy worked so well with the onsite coordinator and other vendors to ensure everything went smoothly. We did not have to worry about a thing. More than a caterer

Barbara and Glorious Affairs made our first daughter's wedding a huge success. We went straight to GA when our second daughter became engaged. They provide total support to your wedding planning. Barbara worked closely with my daughter and future son-in-law and us to understand what they wanted in a wedding and always had an excellent idea to solve any issue. She is readily available and responds to any question or email quickly. Wedding day is when GA really shines. Barbara becomes the on-site coordinator, taking care of all vendors and every small detail. The entire staff is professional, courteous and friendly and dedicated to making the day unforgettable. It goes without saying the food and beverage service is outstanding. I can't wait until our third daughter gets married so we can have another fantastic event with Glorious Affairs.R

This is a long overdue review for the wonderful Glorious Affairs. In addition to food and service being top notch, Wendy really took everything into consideration. She met with us at the venue, thought about how to best use the space, how food should be served and presented, and how the night should proceed. We were also able to go to the rental company to choose table cloth and dining ware, etc. A few days before the wedding, we dropped off all the decor and alcohol at their office, and they put everything together beautifully. The weather was unstable, so we set up for Plan B the day before, but the day of they managed to change it back to Plan A so we could have the ceremony in the garden as planned. The cocktail hour and dinner both went flawlessly. They even assigned a dedicated server to take care of the new couple! Food was good and they were accommodating to our nut-free request. They were awesome all the way--I really appreciate them packing up everything so well when we went to pick up leftover wine and decor items. The terrific service is definitely worth it, my day was very stress-free because of Wendy, Molly, and their team. Our family has used them three times so far, and we will continue to recommend them!

Glorious affairs did everything right and filled us with so much confidence that we were able to relax and actually enjoy our planning process. From our first interaction with Wendy, to the end of our wedding night they made sure we were taken care of. Their menu is to die for, and it was hard to narrow it down to just a handful of items (Definitely go with the fish!). All the guests remarked on how delicious the food was, and the staff was superb. They worked hand in hand with all our vendors and coordinated every detail of the day and it went off without a hitch. I could not recommend them more highly!

In May 2017 my daughter was married. Barbara, the owner of Glorious Affairs went above and beyond to make her wedding the perfect day. From the moment we decided to have her cater my daughters wedding Barbara was available for any questions or concerns. My daughter was a nervous bride. Barbara was aware and showed up at her ceremony to greet her as she walked in. Just to help her feel a little at ease. My daughter couldn't believe she thought so much of her to do that. Above and Beyond....now onto the reception. I have been to many weddings. Glorious Affairs is by far the best cater I have ever experienced. The food was amazing. Everything came out hot and right on time. Guests are still complementing the food. I can't say enough about how delicious every morsel was. The display and attentiveness from the staff was the best I have ever experienced. Thank you Barbara and staff...you are truly professional that creates 5 star food and service. Now onto the next wedding. No question...Glorious Affairs will be doing my other daughters wedding next September.

Barbara and Glorious Affairs are fantastic. We hired and partnered with her team for our Wedding Welcome party this summer. Everything was coordinated well, her design of a custom menu for our party was creative and turned out super tasty. People are still talking about how great the food was (seriously, asking for recipes!). The staff is amazing and very professional, our servers and bartenders kept everyone with cocktails and food in hand. Glorious Affair’s takes the stress out of party planning and can be trusted to plan, coordinate and cater a great event. We are local to Rhode Island and will definitely use Glorious Affairs for future events again.

Glorious Affairs rocks! Barbara and her team made our wedding celebration so memorable for our families and our guests. The location, the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, RI never looked better thanks to the beautiful decorations of golden pineapples and flower arrangements. The custom drink menu was a hit and the Pimms Cups made us feel like we were at Wimbledon.

My daughter was recently married and chose Glorious Affairs to handle the event. I had used GA before and was very happy with my daughter's choice. Wendy Cobb expertly managed every aspect of the event. The food was 5 star. The staff beyond professional. The wedding was perfect.
It was the WAY above and beyond things Wendy did - with a threat of rain reappearing after I cancelled the tent, Wendy purchased (on her own) coverings for the outdoor ceremony. She made great suggestions throughout the planning process and I trusted her implicitly. I can't say enough about the chef and staff. Every aspect was first class.

Glorious Affairs catered our wedding in September 2017, and we could not be happier! Barbara and her team happily accommodated all of our special requests, and from the initial meetings to the week leading up, she really put us at ease throughout the planning process and we knew we were in great hands. We didn't use a wedding coordinator, and Barbara really stepped up to help fill that gap.
When we arrived at our reception, everything was set up beautifully, Barbara’s team took care of everything. Barbara had a server assigned to my husband and me, and they did a great job tracking us down as we moved around so we didn’t miss any of the exceptional appetizers they prepared. The servers were clearly very experienced, as they circulated the appetizers throughout the venue, and there was plenty of food for everybody. Our guests are still raving about the food, from the apps through our perfectly thought out dessert buffet.
We can’t thank you enough for doing such an amazing job. You truly went above and beyond for us, thank you!!

Our daughter and son-in-law were married on 10/21/17, and Glorious Affairs provided the most incredible food for their special day! Glorious Affairs has done both my daughter's wedding in 2012 and this year my son's wedding in May. They did both the reception and the brunch the morning after. I would not use anyone else. If you are looking for amazing, quality food & professional catering services, you MUST book with Glorious Affairs catering. Barbara, Wendy & all of their chefs and staff made our wedding on 10/21/17 the most special occasion. From the first e-mails & meetings for tastings, Barbara was attentive, patient and helpful along the way. We felt completely at ease knowing they were handling everything and would deliver the BEST food for our big day. And THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The appetizers did NOT stop coming out – all of our guests said they couldn’t stop eating the amazing passed appetizers – shrimp cocktail, sweet potato fritters, tenderloin crostini and bacon-wrapped chicken. Staff members ensured that myself and the groom were able to enjoy them and followed us around with a tray,
For the reception, we opted for a stations menu with two delicious salad options, a grill station with the best salmon, beef and chicken we have ever had, and then our favorite, A TACO STATION. Our friends and family have not stopped talking about the food, and everyone was very impressed by the presentation of each station and the quality service from the staff. Our dessert was a pie station with various fruit pies with ice cream and whipped cream and it was perfect.
The table setup was EXACTLY how we envisioned everything and Barbara and Wendy were so incredibly kind and thoughtful and ensured we were all taken care of that night. Even things as simple as having a pitcher of water available for my mother and making a special plate of roasted potatoes for the groom were greatly appreciated. We can assure you that Glorious Affairs will go above and beyond to ensure your day is perfect and that your guests will be extremely impressed by the food and décor and will leave well-fed. Glorious Affairs deserves all of the awards and recognition and you shouldn’t shop around – they are truly THE BEST!

Glorious Affairs catered our wedding at the Glen Manor House in May. Working with Wendy Cobb was amazing from the first meeting through our wedding day. Wendy was very responsive to all of our questions and we appreciated her professional and honest opinions, as well as knowledge of our venue, as we were working out all of the details. The Glorious Affairs staff really delivered on our wedding day and we’ve received many compliments from our guests that the food at our wedding was not only the best they’ve ever had at a wedding, but some of the best food they’ve had. The quality of the ingredients and the presentation of the passed and plated dishes were superb. We would highly recommend Wendy and Glorious Affairs!

Wonderful experience. Barbara was a creative and warm guide from our first conversations through the wedding reception. We had our reception at a small house and yard and Barbara did great job working with us to make the logistics work. Food (Sea Bass, beef filet and vegetarian tortellini) was superb -- guests (and hosts) very happy. GA also had a really nice staff -- very professional - excellence all the way around and a beautiful event.

We could have not been more pleased with the services provided by Wendy and her team to make our daughter's MAY 28, 2016 wedding at the Glen Manor House a great success. Starting with the tastings, we knew that this is going to be something special, the food flavors and the presentation were amazing. Wendy lend her expertise & helped the young couple to navigate through the extensive menu offerings to plan the pairings and the right portions and serving sequence for food and drink for the reception. When the big day came, Wendy and her staff did not disappoint, they delivered as promised, even exceeded our expectations. All the food was very delicious and beautifully presented. In fact, my husband and I are giving Glorious Affairs FIVE STARS for taste and presentation, they are on par with the finest dining that Newport, RI has to offer. During the whole evening, their staff worked like invisible fairies and created seamless flow from the wedding ceremony to cocktails, to fine dining, to dance party afterwards. As a mother of the bride, I want to thank Wendy for helping create a magical evening for the married couple and their guests, a truly " GLORIOUS AFFAIR" indeed.

Glorious Affairs catered my wedding and they did a fantastic job! All my guests raved about the food during and after the wedding. Even though me and my husband were busy throughout the night, the staff came over with a plate full of all the different appetizers during the cocktail hour and left different desserts at our table at the end of the so that we could taste everything! I almost didn't have main entree because I was going around and talking to all my guests but I am so happy that I sat down to eat because the beef tenderloin was by far one of the best I ever ate! Working with Wendy was such a pleasure. Right from the start she made me and my mom feel so comfortable and really helped us plan so many details of our wedding. The two things that we really wanted was good food and to have the wedding go smoothly and Wendy and her team made sure both of those things happened. Wendy was always very responsive and very sincere when we asked her opinion on certain things. I highly recommend Wendy and Glorious Affairs!!

The Glorious Affairs team was absolutely fabulous! Everyone from Barbara, to the caterers themselves went above and beyond to make our wedding special. I was able to have everything I ever wanted and more. The food exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to plan more events with Glorious Affairs!

Wendy Cobb and her team at Glorious Affairs were amazing from the day we met her until our wedding at the Towers on 5/20/16. Kait felt like Wendy was a family member because she was so welcoming and made Kait felt very comfortable with any questions she might have. Wendy even calmed down Kait over the phone one day when Kait thought something might go wrong. They were very organized and everything was on time at the wedding. There were all empty plates delivered back to the kitchen and everyone raved about the food. Their presentations were exactly what we were looking for...classy and thoughtful. We even enjoyed going to pick out the linens in Newport with Wendy to make our day feel so special and unique. The servers also kept our glasses filled at the wedding and made sure we were happy. I would highly recommend Wendy and her team at Glorious Affairs.

I HIGHLY recommend this catering company. I cannot say enough about how great Barbara and Glorious Affairs were for our wedding. Barbara was very attentive to our needs from our initial meeting through every last detail at the wedding. Her knowledge and experience were evident at every meeting as she helped to guide us through the whole process. After our first meeting with Barbara we immediately knew we were in the right place. Our wedding was very nontraditional in many aspects and not only did Barbara totally understand our vision and all of our needs, but she also was able to make amazing suggestions that I hadn’t thought of myself. The food at the wedding was really the perfect culmination of our entire experience with Glorious Affairs. Our guests continue to comment on how delicious the food was, how plentiful it was, and how wonderful and attentive all of the wait staff was! Thank you Barbara for making our day perfection!!

Barbara and her team are, bar none, the best in the business. Being a mixed couple, we were really hoping to pull cultural elements from both sides into our evening. GA went above and beyond, from the killer mini carnitas tacos to the churros w/ house made chocolate sauce for dessert, we're still getting compliments on the food. We knew from the first meeting they would likely be our choice and the tasting solidified that! The wedding day itself could not have been more perfect - and we owe a great deal of the credit to Barbara and her staff. Sooooo much more than just a "caterer." But, beyond that, it's everything she does behind the scenes that makes the potential stress on the bride & groom just melt away. Thank you Barb, you're incredible!

My husband and I were married in Newport, RI this past October and could not have been more pleased with Barbara and her team at Glorious Affairs. First off, the food was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. They nailed the "farm to table" vibe perfectly. Many of our guests could not believe the quality and freshness of our food--we received numerous compliments post-wedding. Everything from the bacon lollipops at cocktail hour to the mini lemon cello cones was presented and displayed in impeccable fashion. Barbara was warm, pleasant, open to feedback on all of the dishes, allowed us to make tweaks and changes, and was prompt in all correspondence with us. I would highly recommend Glorious Affairs to any bride considering getting married in Newport, RI!

Barbara and the Glorious Affairs team played a big role in making our wedding spectacular in every possible way.

Not only did they immediately comprehend our vision for our big day, they were incredibly professional----- and easy and fun to work with.

The Glorious Affairs staff was extremely capable, polite and professional.

The food they provided was delicious. Our guests told us they had never experienced “wedding food” of that caliber.

The owner, chef, party manager and waitstaff all worked tirelessly to make our wedding a beautiful, glorious affair! Barbara, the owner, helped me carefully plan every detail, from linens to appetizers to the flow of the event, and her dedicated staff brought it all to life! As a college student, I spent my summers working for some of Newport's leading catering companies and I've known since then that Glorious Affairs would cater my future wedding! My husband and I could not have been more thrilled with the decision. The menu was divine and the little surprise touches (like passed mini ice cream cones at the end of the night and forks that read, "I do" and "Me too" for the cake cutting) added to the whimsical feel of our wedding day. I am beyond grateful to Barbara and her team and would recommend Glorious Affairs for any event, big or small!

Planning a wedding across the country (I live in Arizona) wasn't the easiest, but Barbara and her team made the experience simple and fun. I was completely blown away by the end results, and for weeks afterword, our guests continued to tell us how amazing the wedding was! The professionalism went far beyond Barbara and extended to all of her team members, it made my "best day ever" also the easiest day ever... we didn't have to worry about a thing. I would highly recommend Glorious Affairs.

Barbara and Rosemary at Glorious Affairs (GA) took excellent care of our family from the very beginning. As an Indian-American wedding we needed lots of personal touches and GA made every single one happen. They worked with us to do a completely unique menu that took them out of their comfort zone. It's not every day you get a chef who is willing to take a family recipe and replicate it for your wedding! Leading up to the wedding I (the bride) didn't have to worry about a thing and they consistently asked about things we would not have ever thought about. When we came down the aisle Rosemary was waiting for us with a cocktail, which showed us their personal touch. Our guests complimented the food and the way everything was executed from the bar service to the reception hall. GA worked well with all our other vendors (DJ, site coordinator, etc.) and they were clearly well respected. GA did it all!

My wife and I could not have been more pleased with Glorious Affairs! Actually, our entire families can't stop talking about them either! We had them cater our wedding this year. Barbara and Gale very friendly and professional throughout the planning and event, and super helpful! They made sure that we (the bride and groom) actually had time to eat our h'orderves and meals, which may seem like a small detail but it was a much appreciated priority of theirs. Did I mention the food was amazing? We all thought it was the best food at any wedding--my wife and I are still thinking about our meals!

I highly recommend Glorious Affairs for any catering event, you won't be disappointed!

Barbara and her team at Glorious Affairs were amazing! My husband and I got married at the Glen Manor House in Portsmouth, RI on Memorial Day Weekend. We live in Massachusetts so communicated a lot via email with Barbara. She was so flexible in scheduling time to see us on weekends that she had available. The food and service was unbelievable. Everything tasted amazing and looked fabulous! We had so many compliments on the food at our wedding. Barbara and her team were incredibility welcoming from the beginning and helped us create a menu that worked for our needs, tastes, and wedding day. A lot of our other vendors came from Barbara's recommendations and they were wonderful too. I can't recommend Glorious Affairs enough. If I ever needed catering done again in the area I would not even look at another vendor.

Glorious Affairs catered our wedding this past November and everything was absolutely perfect. I couldn't have been any happier. Barbara made my husband and I feel so comfortable and listened to our ideas. She was so approachable and easily reachable when ever I had a question. She was so knowledgeable and made the entire process easier on us. The food was delicious and our guests are still complementing the food to this day. Barbara and her team made me feel stress free when it came to the food and the details surrounding how things were run. I was able to enjoy being the bride and concentrate on the important things on my wedding day instead of the miscellaneous details. Glorious Affairs executed every detail perfectly and everyone was impressed. I would recommend then for any event because it was an amazing experience and I have absolutely no complaints.

The staff at Glorious Affairs was wonderful to work with and did an excellent job with our wedding. Not only did they excel at their ability to make every meal taste as though it had been just ordered off a menu at a fine restaurant but they also helped us out as a wedding planner. We planned our entire wedding from out of state and met with the staff at Glorious the spring before our wedding to decide on the food, linen and small details that we wanted for our day. One of the aspects that was important to us was having our fur child, Hinckley, included in the ceremony but we needed to find a way to get him back to our rented cottage after the ceremony. The staff at Glorious stepped right in and told us not to worry about it. They figured it all out for us. We are still having guests from our wedding remark on how wonderful the food was and how the event felt very well thought out and was done to perfection. I was glad to have Glorious there for me because the staff at our actual venue was a bit difficult to deal with at times. Glorious managed everything for us and helped us not to worry about the little things and enjoy our night. It was a night to remember for sure.

Glorious Affairs catered our Blithewold wedding and they were amazing. Not only was the food delicious, but working with Barbara was an absolute pleasure. We booked Glorious Affairs about a year and half before our wedding and loved working with Barbara throughout the entire time, we are going to miss not working with her anymore! She always made me feel like I was her only bride, she was always so responsive to my many questions and patient with our many revisions. Barbara helped us craft a creative menu and Glorious Affairs executed it perfectly on our wedding day. Our guests were all so impressed with the delicious food. Barbara and her staff were awesome on the day of - service was great and everyone was so attentive to our guests. Glorious Affairs assigns one person to the bride and groom on the wedding day, and Gaile was wonderful to us. She made sure that we had appetizers during formal photos, that we sat down and ate dinner, and was just so attentive to anything we needed. We had the most perfect wedding day and Glorious Affairs was a HUGE part of making it so perfect. I cannot recommend Glorious Affairs enough!

My husband and I were recently married in October of 2013 in RI. We used Glorious Affairs as our caterer for our wedding at the Roger Williams Casino and LOVED THEM!!! Barbara Howlett and her staff were completely AMAZING. For my husband and I, both coming from Italian backgrounds the food was our main priority for our wedding - we wanted our guests to be blown away by the food and I can honestly say, that was a success. Barbara understood our ideas and was very helpful in suggesting food choices, pairings and drinks which would please guests. Our tasting was amazing, we were able to try every option we were considering for our wedding. I had asked about chicken cordon bleu (my favorite dish) which wasn't on their menu of suggested entree options due to the season and was surprised to have a plate made for me to try at our tasting - AMAZING!!! The risotto was out of this world. Barbara took care of every little detail which i had wanted a part of my wedding and when I walked into my reception ballroom I was blown away that everything was exactly as I had dreamed it would be. Her staff was so attentive to my guests the entire night. Guests were coming up to my husband and I throughout the night saying how good the food was. One guest was a retired DJ who had been to thousands of weddings who told us his meal was in the top 5 wedding meals he has ever had. The open bar was a hit, fully stocked and our signature apple cider margarita was awesome. I can honestly not say enough about how pleased, happy and grateful I (and my husband) are that we chose Glorious Affairs as our caterer - ABSOLUTELY choose them for your wedding caterer!!! :)

I had already known that Barabara and her amazing staff at Glorious Affairs could put together exception high end weddings at fancy venues but this is not what my husband and I were looking for. We were having a wedding "party" at the beach a year after our very small wedding, and wanted to keep it beach themed and low key. As I sat with Barabara and told her our vision, she immediately had suggestions about decorations, the bar, and the food. OH the food!! We started the party with his and her greeting drinks that were a complete hit with everyone. We had 4 different hor d'ouvers including my husbands favorite, lamb lollipops. My husband is from New Zealand and loves his lamb so Barabara suggested passing baby lamp lollipops with a rosemary balsamic glaze as one of our hor d'oeuvres. They were absolutely amazing, everyone just loved them! For our main entree we requested hot dogs, burgers, chicken, french fries, and 2 different salads. But of course, these were no ordinary hot dogs, burgers, and fries. She had 3 different types of french fries, there were 4 different types of stuffed burgers with different cheeses in them, and the hot dogs were the biggest hot dogs I've ever seen. The entire menu was exactly the low key theme we were looking for with none of the food being low key at all!! Her entire staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of the entire night.
Looking back, there is truly not one thing I would change about our party, we couldn't have been happier. Barbara was spot on with her suggestions, and the food and drinks were exceptional. I highly recommend Glorious Affairs to anyone!

My sister used Glorious Affairs as her Caterer for her wedding, as Maid of Honor I was very involved in the process. It was the best wedding I have EVER attended. We couldn't be happier with the services. From start to finish she helped us through every step of the way and was accommodating and made the planning seem effortless. Barbara Howlett is the owner and very involved every step of the way, it was like having a full service wedding planner as she brought the entire vision to fruition. I would not recommend any other catering vendor in the MA/RI area to trust with such an important day. I promise you will not be disappointed in the services you receive for your special day, I know when my day comes I will absolutely be using Glorious Affairs!

Barbara did an amazing job on our wedding. She offered wonderful guidance throughout the entire process, from the tasting all the way up through our big day. My now husband and I had a good feeling about choosing Glorious Affairs from the very start. We had been to many weddings together (over 20!) so we had a good idea of what we wanted and Barbara promised to put our vision into a reality. From the moment we met her, we felt like we had known her for years. She made us feel comfortable and was able to answer all of our questions in a timely manner throughout the entire planning process.

She assured us that since she came from a large family, there was always going to be more than enough food and gave us sound advice on all the details for the wedding. When it came down to the napkins and other smaller items - we did not care much as long as it looked nice and was reasonably priced. She created an atmosphere that looked like it had cost a fortune but it wasn't over the top and still gave off an impression that was our style and that we would have chosen ourselves!

On the day of, there was no stress - we knew we were being taken care of and in fact were assigned a staff member to look after our needs. We had heard from friends that they were so busy that they themselves had not been able to eat their own wedding meal. This was certainly not the case at our wedding - and thank goodness because we would have missed out! Not only were we brought trays of our decadent appetizers, but we were kept on schedule and were able to eat our fabulous meals in between greeting our guests.

Barbara's entire staff were fantastic and professional. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to make sure our needs were met. The GA staff was able to order off menu for our two nephews who changed their minds at the dinner table. Also, one of our guests was not feeling well and they made her a boiled chicken dinner! The food was everything promised and more. We had guests come up to us and said the food did not taste like "wedding food!" ;)

GA far surpassed our expectations and we would recommend them 1000%!

My husband and I met with Barbara close to two years ago. We had meetings and many revisions to proposals before we finally signed our contract. Hands down the best decision we made. Barbara became family to Josh and I. I'm sad she won't be in our daily lives anymore. She loves what she does, loves making all her brides happy, and offers advice outside of catering. She's there through the entire process. She takes your ideas and runs with them and can most definitely work with any budget. And her food, oh man her food, out of this world delicious!! Glorious Affairs is far from cookie cutter. She threw in things for our wedding that we were not expecting and guests loved them! The presentation of all the food was awesome! The cocktail hour food kept coming and it always warm. The main course came out perfectly, everything was hot and cooked to perfection! Guests raved about how good the food was and how much they received. We definitely got our money's worth and then some. I'm only sad we didn't get to take any home. Her staff she had the night of our wedding was excellent!! They always made sure to ask if Josh and I needed anything and everything was always kept clean. You never saw dirty cups or plates sitting out. I could go on for days about how amazing Barbara, her team and her food is but you will just have to book her to find out. Trust me you will NOT regret it. There aren't enough thank you's in the world for Barbara!! We love her!!

Glorious affairs is the best caterer around in my opinion. The food was amazing at our wedding in May and their service was phenomenal! AMAZING! ONE OF A KIND! DELICIOUS! Barbara and her staff know how to throw a party! When I chose Glorious Affairs to cater our wedding, I did not know what I was in for. Not only do they cater your event, but basically plan the entire day making it seamless. From start to finish this boutique catering company had everything in line. They arranged the food selections, special drink selections, linen selections, rentals, and more! They work very well with other vendors making my job as the bride much easier. While at the wedding I felt I could give up the control to Barbara and her staff knowing the day would run smoothly. I basically brought a crate of stuff and she and her staff set it up perfectly without evey needing an explaination! After the wedding all of our guests were raving about the food and drinks. Her cook/service staff are very professional and personable, and were accommodating to all the guests at our wedding. The next time I need to plan an event, I know who I'm coming to! Everyone at glorious affairs was very friendly and detail oriented. They thought of everything and made sure that our day was planned diwn to the minute. The few small hiccups that occured with some of the vendors were handled quickly and made the whole process stress free for us. Food was delicious and very nicely presented. Our venue didn't provide any services for our wedding, and we were overwhelmed with the prospect of having to hire the wait staff, bar staff, linens, tables, chairs, etc. Glorious Affairs handled EVERYTHING for us and it was completely seamless. The staff was so attentive and professional, the food was GLORIOUS, and the open bar prices were extremely competitive. Working with this great team allowed us the comfort and confidence to move on to the other details of the wedding planning. We were able to trust them completely and they totally came through for us.

I don't have enough wonderful things to say about glorious affairs!! I booked my wedding event only a week and a half in advance and as if that wasn't challanging enough, me and my son have celiac disease so we requested a gluten free menu. All of our guest are still raving about the mouth watering menu! Thank you again Barbra and all from Glorious Affairs!!!!

Glorious Affairs was both professional and personal throughout my entire experience with them. Barbara immediately put me at ease regarding every catering aspect of the wedding and I knew that I would have her support throughout the entire process. GA were always willing to meet and to talk over the details of the day and were diligent keeping everything organized. Not only was the food phenomenal, which was very important to both me and my fiance, but most importantly I felt that Glorious Affairs truly cared about me and my wedding. They are genuine in their excitement for the couples they work with, which helped me feel very comfortable entrusting them with the details and logistics on my wedding day. It is so important, as a bride, to feel that your vendors actually care about your event and want to do their best. I would highly recommend Glorious Affairs for any event!

From the moment we met Barbara she was so welcoming and on her game! I knew right away that if we chose Glorious Affairs for our big day things would run smoothly and be absolutely wonderful.. and I was right! Everything was outstanding from beginning to end! Glorious Affairs is way more than just a catering company. They basically took care of everything you can think of at the reception.. which is so comforting for a bride! And of course the food was DELICIOUS! The open bar prices were also very competitive compared to other caterer's. Many of my guests have told me how polite and professional the wait staff was. If you're looking for excellent food at great prices with trustworthy personal attention, Glorious Affairs is the way to go!
