We used Upohar for our wedding and had a wonderful experience with them. People still comment about how good the food was at our wedding, some even asked us for the recipes, which obviously we don't have haha. Upohar was able to create a menu that included important foods from our cultural backgrounds and important travels that have impacted us. We had a menu that had Peruvian, Lao, African, and Lancaster County Mennonite food for appetizers and entres.
We also appreciated the sustainability that we were able to achieve with the help of Upohar, who gave us the option to be sustainable. The whole team we worked with was wonderful as well. I highly recommend Upohar if you want delicious food and if you want to have some fun with your wedding menu. -

We had a July wedding (and I am a mature bride in her 50s), so we starting working with Upohar about Feb. in meeting to start choosing our menu. We married in Harrisburg. Upohar is in Lancaster, and as our venue was Manor on Front and did not allow use of their kitchen, it was important to have a caterer that could bring everything to serve the right temperature and yet clean up and bag everything after. We had NO COMPLAINTS from the venue (who didn't didn't recommend any Harrisburg caterer that had been there). They had a call with us in advance to work out final numbers and a timeline, and Upohar was extremely professional throughout. On the day of, the appetizers were handed around by their staff, at no extra charge, making it very regal, and the buffet line was very professionally served. We had 3 appetizers (samosas, spanikopitas and something else) and then for the main meal lo fen, moussaka, rice pilaf, pork pernil and chicken and beef skewers. My only feedback in hindsight is that the skewers were a bit dry and the appetizers could perhaps have been a little more richly filled. I would have used a less lean cut of meat for the skewers and/or a dipping sauce. We had compliments on the food and some mentioned the pork pernil, especially. But we had a ball eating the leftovers. The staff were smiling, professional, and brilliant at clean-up. We opted to use my mother's and grandmother's china and so provided disposable cutlery from Wayfair. (They will provide disposable bamboo but if you opt to provide your own dishes, you provide silverware, too.) They did scrape the china clean of food and I stacked the dishes in crates I provided, which they did so well that it held a few days till I got to the dishes! Honestly, it was a relief having this go right and one less thing to worry about and I would use them again in a heartbeat. We opted to provide our own fruit and dessert table. The cost for about 41 adults was roughly $4,000. -

We enjoyed everything about about working with this catering company. They were always quick to respond and we were able to customize our wedding menu for it to be exactly what we wanted. The food was amazing and our guests loved how unique and tasty the food was. Wedding planning was very stressful for me (I'm not the planning type lol), but the catering was one of my favorite parts. The tasting alone was incredible--very intimate setting for a tasting and the food that was prepared was fantastic. We would 100% recommend! -

My husband and I hired Upohar for our September wedding, and they were fantastic! We opted for their food truck, selecting 3 different entrees, and 3 different appetizers. We specifically picked Upohar because of the variety of cuisine they offer. We were able to curate such a unique menu--a red Thai curry with tofu, a Greek Pastitsio & a Moroccan chicken shawarma. Our guests loved the options. The Upohar team was also great to work with-communicative, professional, friendly. We highly recommend them! -

Upohar catered my husband and my wedding, and they did an absolutely flawless job with everything!! The food was amazing, everything was perfect, and upohar was flexible with where we had them set up the line of food in our reception area. We also want to acknowledge the young man who brought us our appetizers during the rainstorm when we were getting our bride and groom pictures and our wedding party pictures, we really appreciate the effort and devotion to helping us have such a perfect and memorable wedding day! -

Stephanie, Josiah and the entire team from Upohar supported our son and his fiance's wedding rehearsal / welcome dinner so well, assisting with menu selection and all details including a pre-event visit at the wedding/rehearsal venue. The food was so delicious and appreciated by guests. Service and cleanup was excellent as well. We can highly recommend Upohar as an excellent caterer for any event! -

We hired Upohar for my wedding count of about 60 people, and let me just say “Amazing”! The catering team not only set everything up beautifully because we chose the drop off catering package they also were so kind enough to reach out to my wedding coordinator to let her know in advance what food would need to be replenished. The team was also very helpful and resourceful in helping us find a bartender for our wedding and a trash haul company because our venue did not supply it.
Let’s not forget about the food !
We are a Hispanic couple so we picked the Pernil(pork), chicken, yellow rice, white rice, black beans, pinto beans, salad, sweet plantains and the chicken & beaf & cheese empanadas.
My husband and I didn’t have time to do the food tasting since we live out of state, so we read the reviews and took people’s words for it and let me say the reviews did not lie!! The food was soooo good! Our guest would not stop raving about it and asking if the food was homemade and brought to the venue! I never thought catering food could be so tasty ! -

My husband and I had Upohar cater our wedding and we can't tell you how incredible it was! The food was absolutely delicious. We got pernil, pollo asado, empanadas, and chips with salsa and guacamole. Our guests were raving. I also can't say enough good things about Sri, Stephanie, and Josiah. They were a joy to work with — very responsive, attentive and organized. The service at our wedding was top-notch as well. A few of my guests told me how kind and courteous they thought Josiah was. My husband and I couldn't be happier. We highly recommend Upohar for your event!! -

Upohar was recommended to us because we knew we wanted a caterer that could pull in lots of flavor for our guests coming in from all over the US as well as Mexico and Puerto Rico. Not only did they nail a jam packed menu request but also went ABOVE and BEYOND to get the table settings just right AND pull in little extras that were most important to the Bride and Groom's personal tastes - who doesn't love pan dulce (mexican sweet breads)?! Sri, the owner, was so thoughtful in preparing and sharing a tasting menu that gave us a sense for ALL that could be done by her team and Stephanie, director of operations, was meticulous and methodical in her ongoing support and encouragement to support us throughout our planning. The final ingredient to the spectacular interaction provided was Stephanie finding me, the bride, a Day of Coordinator, for a small added cost, that was an exact match for my personality and had a lock on the desired wedding theme - Spanish/Boho/Romantic. Overall, the menu the look and the experience of working with Upohar was a "gift" - which fits given it means they lived up to their namesake! We cannot wait to find more reasons to work with or recommend Upohar to friends and family...and maybe troll their events for more of their OUT OF THIS WORLD pernil and coconut rice! -

From first contact to saying farewell at the end of the wedding, Upohar World Kitchen was a fantastic partner in making our wedding a truly special day. Always responsive and organized, we knew we didn't have to worry about anything when it came to the food being handled by Upohar at our wedding.
Let's talk about the food because that's the major part of any wedding! We did a tasting at Upohar to determine the menu and all of it was so good. So good that it was difficult to choose what to put on our menu, which is a good problem to have. With plenty of options for all diets, from GF to vegan, we wanted all of our guests to leave satisfied. Many of our guests let us know how much they loved the food afterward, which made us so happy because we certainly chose a more adventurous wedding menu than the typical wedding fare. The empanadas, rice and beans, plantains, chicken, and veggies paired together perfectly.
On the actual day of the wedding, Upohar's team was early and got everything set up and ready without needing us, which was ideal. Everything went off without a hitch.
So a big thank you and our highest recommendation for Upohar for catering your special day!

I thought I wouldn't be able to find a caterer for my wedding both within my budget and able to accommodate a HUGE (10+) list of allergies. Cue Upohar absolutely saving the day and killing it. Not only were there options for everyone to eat, but the food was AMAZING and Upohar was very flexible with my requests. 100% recommend if you love flavor! My guests raved that the food was very "us" and were excited for spices and not just another boring wedding entrée. -

We used Upohar for our rehearsal dinner last week and oh my are we glad we did. I wanted to have traditional Puerto Rican food to represent my side of the family. The pernil was some of the best I’ve had (grandma will always have to be the top). It was so tender yet flavorful. Even my own grandma wanted to take the leftovers home. We had arroz con gandules, maduros, chicken/beef empanadas, and pollo guisado also and they were just as delicious and amazing. Stephanie was amazing to work with our short timeline and distance from our venue. She was so accommodating during the whole process and even helped us to add chicken to our menu only a few days prior to our dinner. I feel so lucky to have found Upohar in the middle of Lancaster county. If you want ethnic food for your next event, then I definitely recommend Upohar! -

We had the food truck option to cater our wedding which was not only affordable but delicious! Many of our guests raved about the food and even told us it was the best wedding food they’ve had. With the food truck you’re able to take leftovers with you so no food goes to waste! I can’t thank Sri enough for her catering services. -

I've always loved the variety of foods available in Lancaster City and as soon as I was engaged, I knew I wanted Upohar / Global Flavors to be our caterer - so I could share a little bit of that love with my guests. I'm so happy we chose them. They were incredibly flexible, compassionate, and worked with our changing dates and party size to provide a delicious meal that pulled together all of my favorite cuisines from the city and tied in our cultures to boot. Though a wide variety of items are available on the sample menu, they are more than happy to customize dishes and will even recreate a recipe just for you! Both Sri and Christina were incredible to work with - always friendly and helpful, giving us suggestions and coordinating the different cuisines. From the spread of Greek / Middle Eastern apps, to dinner with Puerto Rican pork and Kamfounata (Moroccan Ratatouille), everything was incredible. We and our guests loved the food and we had plenty of leftovers to enjoy with our crew over the weekend! -

Sri and her team at Upohar were absolutely amazing in catering for our wedding. We went with their food truck option, due to kitchen limitations at our venue and it was a hit! The food was delicious and the staff were accommodating to safely meet CDC standards while getting married during Covid. Aside from the food being fantastic (and genuinely all of our guests loved their meals), Sri's customer service is second to none. She was phenomenal to work with leading up to the wedding, being mindful of the details, flexible with food options, and prompt in responding to my random questions as they arose throughout the planning process. If you are in the Lancaster area and needing affordable meal options for your wedding, look no further. We are beyond grateful that Sri and her team are who we chose to cater and celebrate our wedding day with us! -

Our wedding brought together people from many parts of the world: USA, Latin America, Europe, Africa; and we wanted to provide food that would reflect such variety. Christina and Global Flavors Catering specialize in flavor-filled international menus, and we were thrilled that we were able to pre-test all of the appetizers, entrees, and dessert options before finalizing our menu. Our menu included delicious Mini empanadas, Pernil (roast pork), Pollo Asado, and Picadillo de Chayote and Tembleque (coconut pudding). Our guests are still talking about how incredible the dinner was, and we couldn’t be happier with the customer service and delivery from Sri and Lex. Highly recommend! -

The food was absolutely amazing! Everything tasted great, even the foods that I normally wouldn't like! We loved working with Sri, she was very accommodating and worked with us, and our budget, to get us what we needed. The cost was better than many other locations I looked at and the food tasted better than others I had tried. We got a vegetarian selection and it was so good no one noticed there wasn't meat! We got so many compliments on the food! And when I told people it was vegetarian, the overall response was "What? But it tasted so good!" Definitely recommend! -

From the very beginning Lex and the rest of the catering team were extremely professional, diligent, friendly, and just plain awesome. We were blown away by their meticulous work, both in advance of and during the event. All of our guests loved the amazing food they prepared. The team went above and beyond to ensure that the meal, desserts, and drinks all went smoothly. Frankly, our reception would not have been possible without their amazing efforts.
