  Amazing caterer

  Excellent communication throughout tastings, pre-wedding meetings, and the wedding itself. Upohar went to the venue beforehand to make sure they were prepared to bring their food truck. The food was absolutely delicious and we got so many compliments from guests. Josiah was professional and helpful throughout the entire process, and kept the night running very smoothly.

  Amazing services and good!

  We hired Upohar for my wedding count of about 60 people, and let me just say “Amazing”! The catering team not only set everything up beautifully because we chose the drop off catering package they also were so kind enough to reach out to my wedding coordinator to let her know in advance what food would need to be replenished. The team was also very helpful and resourceful in helping us find a bartender for our wedding and a trash haul company because our venue did not supply it.
  
  Let’s not forget about the food !
  We are a Hispanic couple so we picked the Pernil(pork), chicken, yellow rice, white rice, black beans, pinto beans, salad, sweet plantains and the chicken & beaf & cheese empanadas.
  My husband and I didn’t have time to do the food tasting since we live out of state, so we read the reviews and took people’s words for it and let me say the reviews did not lie!! The food was soooo good! Our guest would not stop raving about it and asking if the food was homemade and brought to the venue! I never thought catering food could be so tasty !

  Absolutely incredible

  My husband and I had Upohar cater our wedding and we can't tell you how incredible it was! The food was absolutely delicious. We got pernil, pollo asado, empanadas, and chips with salsa and guacamole. Our guests were raving. I also can't say enough good things about Sri, Stephanie, and Josiah. They were a joy to work with — very responsive, attentive and organized. The service at our wedding was top-notch as well. A few of my guests told me how kind and courteous they thought Josiah was. My husband and I couldn't be happier. We highly recommend Upohar for your event!!

  Wonderful food and service

  We hired Upohar for our wedding in our home (65 guests), and they were fabulous. Every dish was delicious, and the service was flawless. Everyone raved about the food. Very reasonable cost as well. Highly recommend!

  The Total Package, and Tasty Too!

  Upohar was recommended to us because we knew we wanted a caterer that could pull in lots of flavor for our guests coming in from all over the US as well as Mexico and Puerto Rico. Not only did they nail a jam packed menu request but also went ABOVE and BEYOND to get the table settings just right AND pull in little extras that were most important to the Bride and Groom's personal tastes - who doesn't love pan dulce (mexican sweet breads)?! Sri, the owner, was so thoughtful in preparing and sharing a tasting menu that gave us a sense for ALL that could be done by her team and Stephanie, director of operations, was meticulous and methodical in her ongoing support and encouragement to support us throughout our planning. The final ingredient to the spectacular interaction provided was Stephanie finding me, the bride, a Day of Coordinator, for a small added cost, that was an exact match for my personality and had a lock on the desired wedding theme - Spanish/Boho/Romantic. Overall, the menu the look and the experience of working with Upohar was a "gift" - which fits given it means they lived up to their namesake! We cannot wait to find more reasons to work with or recommend Upohar to friends and family...and maybe troll their events for more of their OUT OF THIS WORLD pernil and coconut rice!

  Delicious food! Great service!

  We chose Upohar to cater food for our Sangeet, and everything went so well! We worked with Stephanie, Erica, and Sri. They made every step of the process - from the initial consultation, to the tastings, to the many follow-ups, to the actual event - so easy. They were incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. The venue that we held our event at doesn't allow outside catering, but they made an exception for us. Upohar was great with working with our venue directly to figure out the best plan for execution. They were very detail oriented and made sure everything was accounted for.
  
  The food was DELICIOUS. We are so happy with the menu we decided on. The staff at the event was super professional and did a great job with serving people, answering questions, and turning over for each course. Everything went perfectly, and we were truly stress free knowing Upohar was handling all of our food. We would highly recommend!

The tasting allowed us to choose our favorite items from their extensive menu options and were very accomodating and gracious when we had to have my parents fill in for us at the tasting last minute due to some travel issues.
  The food was delicious and our guests really enjoyed getting a chance to try new foods. We chose the "Drop Off" package and Upohar set all of the catered food up before the guests arrived at the reception venue, coordinating with our venue for necessary items like chafing dishes that were provided by our venue. We had people asking us for the recipe because they liked the pernil so much but didn't realize that we had most of our meal catered (I love to bake and had done the desserts myself). This request felt like the ultimate compliment to the food and did away with any questions we had about the guests enjoying the meal.

  Best Wedding Food

  They did drop off catering for my wedding this past weekend and it was delicious!!! I had multiple people tell me it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had and asking for the name of the caterer for their own future events. Highly recommended!!!!!!

  Great Service and a Fully Customized Menu!

  Upohar provided the catering for our wedding, and we would work with them again in a heartbeat! We wanted to serve food that reflected our own food preferences (versus the traditional wedding fare), plus offered options for vegetarians. They were amazing to work with and very flexible with the menu; they accommodated several customizations. The tasting was great – we were able to try many different options and the portions were huge. They especially went above and beyond with service during the night, accommodating our request to wear masks, bussing tables throughout the whole event, and staying on top of cleanup and trash. It really sped up our teardown at the end of the night. They also visited our venue ahead of time and were flexible in working with the space, which was essentially fully outdoors with very limited kitchen space. Many guests complimented the food and the unique menu. At the end of the night, they packed up all of our leftovers for us, and we were able to gather with family and make a second meal of it the next day. They were also super communicative throughout the whole process and very easy to work with. Highly recommended!

  Upohar did an amazing job catering our small, all vegan wedding. All of the food was delicious! Stephanie's help planning and coordinating with the other vendors was invaluable and everything went perfectly the day of the wedding. We definitely recommend them to anyone planning an event!

  From first contact to saying farewell at the end of the wedding, Upohar World Kitchen was a fantastic partner in making our wedding a truly special day. Always responsive and organized, we knew we didn't have to worry about anything when it came to the food being handled by Upohar at our wedding.
  
  Let's talk about the food because that's the major part of any wedding! We did a tasting at Upohar to determine the menu and all of it was so good. So good that it was difficult to choose what to put on our menu, which is a good problem to have. With plenty of options for all diets, from GF to vegan, we wanted all of our guests to leave satisfied. Many of our guests let us know how much they loved the food afterward, which made us so happy because we certainly chose a more adventurous wedding menu than the typical wedding fare. The empanadas, rice and beans, plantains, chicken, and veggies paired together perfectly.
  
  On the actual day of the wedding, Upohar's team was early and got everything set up and ready without needing us, which was ideal. Everything went off without a hitch.

  Just what I was looking for!

  I used Upohar for my wedding and couldn't be happier with the service and food. We used the Dip In package which was perfect for our needs. Stephanie was very patient with us figuring out the final guest count. Everything was right on time, hot, and declicious (our guests thought so too). Plus, the prices were super reasonable!

It’s easy to tell the food was made with love and care.   Amazing Puerto Rican Food from a fellow Puerto Rican

  We used Upohar for our rehearsal dinner last week and oh my are we glad we did. I wanted to have traditional Puerto Rican food to represent my side of the family. The pernil was some of the best I’ve had (grandma will always have to be the top). It was so tender yet flavorful. Even my own grandma wanted to take the leftovers home. We had arroz con gandules, maduros, chicken/beef empanadas, and pollo guisado also and they were just as delicious and amazing. Stephanie was amazing to work with our short timeline and distance from our venue. She was so accommodating during the whole process and even helped us to add chicken to our menu only a few days prior to our dinner. I feel so lucky to have found Upohar in the middle of Lancaster county. If you want ethnic food for your next event, then I definitely recommend Upohar!

  We used Upohar for our rehearsal dinner last week and oh my are we glad we did. I wanted to have traditional Puerto Rican food to represent my side of the family. The pernil was some of the best I’ve had (grandma will always have to be the top). It was so tender yet flavorful. Even my own grandma wanted to take the leftovers home. We had arroz con gandules, maduros, chicken/beef empanadas, and pollo guisado also and they were just as delicious and amazing. Stephanie was amazing to work with our short timeline and distance from our venue. She was so accommodating during the whole process and even helped us to add chicken to our menu only a few days prior to our dinner. I feel so lucky to have found Upohar in the middle of Lancaster county. If you want ethnic food for your next event, then I definitely recommend Upohar!

  Upohar Saved the Day

  As someone that had to postpone their wedding twice due to COVID, I was used to changing plans and dealing with vendors, but during our year-long postponement our original caterer went through a change of management, lost our booking, then completely went out of business a little over a month before our wedding. I found Upohar from recommendations from a local friend and even though they were fully booked on my date, Sri still took the time to visit my venue and advise on the setup and delivery, and hooked us up with drop-off catering. The food was fantastic - we did buffet Pollo Asado (seasoned chicken) and Pernil (braised pork), lentil sambusas, yellow rice, beans, and plantains. The guests were raving about the food and I saw many people go back for seconds. I ordered extra and had my staff pack up to-go boxes for guests to take home, and out of 50 or so boxes laid out we only had a few portions left over - which my new husband and I happily enjoyed ourselves as leftovers for a few days. So thankful for Upohar for their incredible food and great service!

  A++++, seriously hire them

  I thought I wouldn't be able to find a caterer for my wedding both within my budget and able to accommodate a HUGE (10+) list of allergies. Cue Upohar absolutely saving the day and killing it. Not only were there options for everyone to eat, but the food was AMAZING and Upohar was very flexible with my requests. 100% recommend if you love flavor! My guests raved that the food was very "us" and were excited for spices and not just another boring wedding entrée.

  Perfect caterer for a socially conscious couple

  Delicious food. Sri was fantastic to work with. We loved being able to share our love of foods from around the world with our wedding guests. And during COVID, a food truck with to-go meals is just what we needed!

  Food Truck Wedding!

  Sri and her team at Upohar were absolutely amazing in catering for our wedding. We went with their food truck option, due to kitchen limitations at our venue and it was a hit! The food was delicious and the staff were accommodating to safely meet CDC standards while getting married during Covid. Aside from the food being fantastic (and genuinely all of our guests loved their meals), Sri's customer service is second to none. She was phenomenal to work with leading up to the wedding, being mindful of the details, flexible with food options, and prompt in responding to my random questions as they arose throughout the planning process.   Delicious!!

  We had the food truck option to cater our wedding which was not only affordable but delicious! Many of our guests raved about the food and even told us it was the best wedding food they’ve had. With the food truck you’re able to take leftovers with you so no food goes to waste! I can’t thank Sri enough for her catering services.

They were incredibly flexible, compassionate, and worked with our changing dates and party size to provide a delicious meal that pulled together all of my favorite cuisines from the city and tied in our cultures to boot. Though a wide variety of items are available on the sample menu, they are more than happy to customize dishes and will even recreate a recipe just for you! Both Sri and Christina were incredible to work with - always friendly and helpful, giving us suggestions and coordinating the different cuisines. We had no idea that when we brought this unusual idea to Sri at Global Flavors that they would more than deliver.
