The reception space was beautiful! Loved the big windows that overlooked the golf course. Allison was our event coordinator. She was great with answering all my questions throughout the year leading up to the wedding day. When we dropped off all the wedding decor she was very organized and made sure to ask where we wanted everything displayed. On the day of the wedding she was so organized, maintained our timeline to the best of her ability, and all the decor was set up exactly how I wanted. The servers on the day of the wedding were very speedy in bringing out the meals (we had 200 people). Food was good too! My wedding day was absolutely perfect!! If something didn’t go as planned I had no idea, they handled it amongst themselves and did not let me know so I could enjoy my wedding day.
Something to keep in mind is that you don’t get a tasting - it’s not even an option to pay for it. However, this wasn’t something that steered us away from this venue.
Another plus, this venue was much cheaper than other venues we looked at!

I was blown away with GHCC and their wedding packages. They are very transparent with their pricing on their website and offer some of the most reasonable all-inclusive packages I came across in my venue search process. There are no hidden fees for linens or chair upgrades, the price is all-in.

The food & drinks were spot on and all of our guests raved about the cocktail hour appetizers especially the pasta bar! I also loved that the wedding cake was included in our package because it was super easy to order and it was one less vendor I needed to coordinate with for delivery.

The most important thing to me was how well the staff took care of us during the entire wedding process. Allison is an absolute rockstar and everytime I called with questions or stopped by to see the venue, she was so on top of my plans I always felt so relieved knowing that everything was taken care of. I dropped off my decor with some instructions and Allison executed it perfectly.

Beautiful venue, talent staff, and delicious food and drinks - we are so thankful we found GHCC and couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place for our wedding.

We have to give a special shout out to Jackie who was our day-of coordinator and worked closely with us to plan our day the whole year leading up to the wedding. Jackie is the wonderfully calm presence everyone hopes to have guide them through their wedding day. She was so incredibly attentive and accommodating. She helped us plan every detail and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. We can't thank her and Glastonbury Hills enough for giving us the best day of our lives!

Glastonbury Hills Country Club could not have been a more perfect wedding venue. The grounds and building itself are so beautiful, open, and have incredible natural lighting. Allison, their amazing events coordinator was responsive, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Without her, our wedding would not have been nearly as perfect. From answering the tiniest of questions in the months leading up to it, to ensuring that all of our guests were lined up for our grand exit, she was with us every step of the way.
The food was delicious, the bartenders made great drinks, the bridal suite was great. If you are looking for an elegant, all-inclusive wedding venue, look no further. Book GHCC now!

GHCC was a dream come true! As soon as I saw this venue I immediately wanted to have my wedding here. After extensive searching, this venue checked off every single box for us. In addition to the amazing beautiful grounds, the team is fantastic. Frank, Allison, and Jackie really made our vision come to life. Every single thing went smoothly, nothing went wrong throughout the entire night. Throughout the entire planning process they were so helpful and responsive to all of my questions I asked (probably weekly and daily at some points) and they never failed to respond and help me through them! Allison was so helpful with suggestions to help us make decisions about the day. Due to COVID we were not able to taste test, so we went in blind on the food but this food was AMAZING. All of our guests were so happy with the food and they were so happy they actually were able to eat appetizers. Every single direction you looked there was an appetizer right there. The service was incredible! I was very particular about my decorations and every single thing looked perfect, my jaw dropped when I saw the room decorated! I highly highly recommend this place you will not regret it!

I got married here last weekend and it was an amazing experience! The staff is easy to work with and are very responsive to my emails prior to our date. Allison did an outstanding job decorating the reception room before my arrival for the ceremony, and when I asked to move a few decorations around she quickly made the adjustments.

She also did a great job organizing everyone for the ceremony and provided great food and drink service to our family and wedding party during pictures. She also worked with the DJ to keep the schedule moving to get to the dancing faster which was greatly appreciated!

We received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the wedding was and raved about how delicious the food was. Thank you so much to Glastonbury Hills Country Club for making our wedding day so perfect!

We could not have selected a better venue and team of coordinators to host our wedding. From the start, Allison, Jackie, and Frank stopped at nothing to ensure our wedding day was exactly what we imagined. They answered any and all of our questions immediately, treated us like we were their only client, and worked with us through all of the ups and downs of planning a wedding during a pandemic.

There is so much to say about the team at Glastonbury Hills, but know that you will not find a more flexible and understanding group of people to have in your corner. When we postponed our wedding, Jackie and Frank didn’t bat an eye about pushing it out a year. What could have been a miserable experience turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as we earned an extra year to get close with the people who made our day so special.

Before our wedding day, everyone told us that something always goes wrong, you never get to eat, and the day is a blur that you barely get to enjoy. Thanks to the Jackie, Allison, Frank, and the fantastic staff of servers and bartenders, my wife and I woke up on Sunday laughing about how none of the above came true. Everything went even better than we could have planned. The food was fantastic, the schedule flowed smoothly, and the venue was beautiful from top to bottom.

Would recommend to absolutely anyone. You cannot go wrong here!

I honestly cannot say enough positive things about Glastonbury Hills Country Club. Never did I ever think that we would tour (and end up booking) our wedding venue via a FaceTime tour, but that is the Covid-world that we currently live in. From the very beginning of the planning process, Allison and Frank were super accommodating and helpful. As mentioned, my husband and I did a FaceTime tour with Frank and he showed us all of the venue and answered any questions that we had. When the world started to open back up again, they brought us in for an 'in-person' tour and we fell even more in love with the space. The main banquet space (I believe it's called the Sky Room) is just magical, particularly at night when it's all lit up. I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful space for our big day.
In the months leading up to our wedding, Frank and Allison always responded to all emails/questions that we sent them (which there were many of lol) in a timely manner and never made us feel like we were bugging them with all of our requests.
The day of the wedding, having Allison around honestly felt like having a best girl friend around. She helped me with my bustle when my mom and sister couldn't quite figure it out, brought me appetizers when I looked hungry, and made sure I always had a cocktail around. The last thing worth mentioning is that my husband and I are STILL getting compliments from our friends and family about how good the food was, some even saying it was the best wedding food they have ever had. If you are considering GHCC for your big day, we highly highly recommend it!

I cannot say enough good things about GHCC. The staff was always so responsive to emails and answered every little question I had. They were so accommodating and made sure that the room was set up perfectly and that we were well taken care of. Donna was our personal server for the day and she was AMAZING. She made sure we had everything we needed for our day to go perfectly. The pricing was very reasonable and it was money well spent. Not to mention the venue and the views are so beautiful!

My husband and I got married at the Glastonbury Hills Country Club (GHCC) on Saturday 8/24/19. After visiting 8 venues in person and getting online quotes for 12 additional ones across Connecticut, we found our home at GHCC. Outside the charm of the venue itself which is well maintained (see my top 10 list below), the close knit and talented staff is what makes this truly a gem. Frank, Allison, Jackie, and Donna were phenomenal both during the planning process and the day-of. I've heard countless compliments from guests about the beautiful venue and amazing staff working to keep the day running smoothly and flawlessly.

‘Accommodating’ is the word I would use to describe this team’s approach to customer service. Unless there was a legal or logistical reason not to do something, they made all of my crazy ideas and requests come to life, from the cigar bar to the mini dessert bar, surprise lobster tails for my parents, corn hole for guests during cocktail hour, and very last minute signature drink.

Allison was always available throughout the planning process and ensured every detail was accounted for the day-of including double-bagging and sealing the cards at the end of the night and boxing up meals for the no shows for us to take home. No stone went unturned and no question unanswered. Allison executed the day perfectly!

Our wedding reception at the Glastonbury Hills Country Club was everything we could have dreamed of, and more. The venue is beautiful, you don’t need to add much extra décor to it. The large windows provide a beautiful setting and we were lucky enough to have the sun shining through for us. They provided necessary items like tables, chairs, tablecloths, napkins, etc. They even have table numbers and vases for your bouquet if you’d like to use them. Beyond that, all the catering and bar service is there too. We got so many compliments, including that it was the best wedding food our guests ever had (food is a huge part of your wedding!). The staff is truly amazing. They were responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, from our first meeting to when we picked up items the day after. They love what they do, and it shows in each interaction. Everything went smoothly too, we were at ease knowing the day was in such capable and experienced hands. We are so thankful we had our reception at the Glastonbury Hills Country Club – it was our best day ever and they played a huge role in helping us achieve that.

Glastonbury Hills Country Club was absolutely fantastic! The planning process was stress free and so easy as Frank, Jackie and Allison were so attentive to my every request. Frank was so accommodating when it came to letting us visit the venue, answering phone calls and emails. Our wedding day could not have run any smoother and that is all thanks to Allison. She helped decorate the venue and truly was able to capture my vision with the little direction I gave her. She kept us on schedule and had a wonderful sense of humor which helped ease the nerves a bit. The head server, Donna, was also wonderful. She made sure my husband and I ate and even helped hold my train when I walked down the aisle. We are still receiving rave reviews on the food as it was great, not your typical wedding food. GHCC was a perfect venue for our special day and I would HIGHLY suggest using them for your next event!

GHCC was OUTSTANDING! They were so helpful throughout the planning process. Frank answered all of my emails so fast which was incredibly helpful. They were accommodating to all the decor that we wanted to bring in. On our wedding day, Allison was great at keeping us on schedule and making sure we ate! The food was amazing. GHCC even made a sangria per my request for my "specialty drink". My only concern was that when we first met with them, they said they'd help get us the beer we wanted, but when it got closer to our wedding day we had to get the beer ourselves. However, I would definitely HIGHLY recommend GHCC for any special event.

My experience with Galstonbruy Hills Country Club was amazing! I was a bride who was planning my wedding from far away and they made everything so very easy. The day itself was effortless on my part. Everything and everyone was taken care of which was more then I could have possible asked for. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone for anything!

I highly recommend Glastonbury Hills County Club for any event/function you may be having. We just had our wedding there and they were wonderful. Frank, Jackie and Allison were great to work with. We worked with Allison the night of the wedding and she was amazing, she is truly great at her job. Donna the head waitress for us was also great! Everyone made us feel so warm and welcome. I made numerous phone calls and emails leading up to the wedding and they were quick to respond and so helpful. I can not think of one complaint! The venue is newly remodeled and beautiful!

I had the pleasure of working with Frank, Allison and Jackie. All three went above and beyond to make our day special. Not only did they work with us when we had to up our wedding by a full year due to a family illness but they also took care of our family the day of the wedding and have not only my husband and I VIP treatment but also our families. The venue is gorgeous and the food was absolutely delicious. The country setting along with the fabulous people at GHCC make this a no brained.

If you are looking for a classy, sophisticated, venue with gorgeous scenic views look no further and reserve GHCC. Once we visited GHCC and saw the beautiful views, open seating layout, and met with the friendly staff we knew we had found our venue of choice. And I cannot forget, GHCC also was reasonably priced and within our budget. We had 200 guests at our wedding reception and everyone fit comfortably at their tables. The owner Frank went above and beyond in accommodating our guests and all of the details for the big day (including my Italian family and their traditions). We met with Frank and Allison who walked us through all of the details of the wedding reception from table linens, to food and centerpieces. We actually ended up using GHCC’s centerpieces. We also attended a food tasting (which was awesome – the food was ALL great, it was so hard to narrow down our reception menu). The week of the wedding I dropped off our favors, and any other small decorations we had wanted to include on our special day. Allison took the time to go through where we had wanted everything placed. Our wedding was AMAZING, and we owe a HUGE thank you to everyone at GHCC. Our wedding went so smoothly; it was an absolutely perfect day. We got married at a church down the street, and then came to GHCC for our photos as our guests went to cocktail hour. While getting photos done Allison and Donna took care of us and the bridal party with drinks and Hors d'oeuvres. My husband and I are so glad we had our wedding at GHCC and have so many great things to say about the staff, food, and venue itself. Our guests were thrilled with the venue, food, and staff as well!

After getting married in Jamaica, my husband and I knew we still had to throw one hell of a party for our friends and family. I will never regret our decision to have our reception at Glastonbury Hills Country Club. Upon first visit and seeing the beautiful wall of windows and view of the golf course we were sold. Then, we attended a bridal show in order to taste the food. The comprehensiveness of their options, how the food tasted and the wonderful service from Frank and staff sold us on booking the venue.

The wonderful service only got better. They were there via phone or email anytime we needed. We dropped of favors, table decor etc days early, and worked with them to perfect our vision. We spent time there getting things ready as well, working on the little tedious things (like beach chair place cards). When we arrived to the hall the night of our reception, I was amazed. We were greeted with our photographer and had drinks and appetizers brought to us outside while we were taking pictures. When we entered the room for the first time it was more beautiful than I had ever dreamed. Dinner was served promptly and tasted wonderfully. My husband and I did not have to worry about a thing all night. We were able to enjoy ourselves and our guests. When I see family and friends they continue to tell me how much fun they had at Glastonbury Hills Country Club.

Frank, Jackie and their staff provided us with the wedding of our dreams. They were super helpful, flexible and catered to our every need. They were easy to work with from start to finish and extremely responsive throughout the planning process. Their staff was excellent and the food was excellent as well. Also, GHCC is a great value for the product they provide. They have a beautiful space and excellent food and beverage packages to pick from. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to get married in the central Connecticut area!!

Glastonbury hills country club provided us with an amazing wedding night! Jackie was extremely helpful from day 1 and truly made our day run seamlessly. She was so professional and gave us great advice throughout the planning process and during our wedding day. Everyone else that was involved with our wedding was wonderful as well. I could not have asked for a better place for my wedding, especially for such a great price! The staff was wonderful with the planning and service. The food was delicious. The view was gorgeous. My guests raved about what a great time they had. I also had several guests with food allergies/intolerances and they were very accommodating. I definitely recommend this venue.

What initially drew us to Glastonbury Hills was the huge windows in the reception hall that overlooked the golf course and had amazing views. They were by far the most reasonably priced place we looked at which was also a big draw. We worked with both Jackie and Frank in the planning of our wedding and had great experiences with both. Whenever I had any questions they were quick to respond and were very accommodating. The day of our wedding everything went so smoothly. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Jackie and our waitress who promptly took our drink orders and while we were outside taking pictures we were served hors d'ouvres. The food was outstanding and everyone there was very diligent in making sure that we had everything we needed. They made us aware of when things were going to be happening (such as the cake cutting) to make sure that myself and my husband were both around and available for it, but they did so in a way that wasn't demanding. At the end of the night they send us home with our left over food and cake which was just as delicious the next night. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day, and we could go back in time and do it all over again, we'd definitely still pick Glastonbury Hills again!

I was recently married on November 4th 2012. I chose Glastonbury Hills Country club due to many reasons. Their location is very nice, the views that you get overlooking the golf course are beautiful. They are practically RIGHT off of the highway so even if you have a lot of people who don't live close it's still easy for them to find. They are able to accommodate ceremonies in either a separate room or outside, whichever you prefer. Furthermore, the room that they hold their receptions in is AMAZING. The floor to ceiling windows are perfect for a wedding during ANY season. Once I booked them I was VERY impressed with how responsive the people there were. Being a rather anal-retentive bride I found it very comforting that I could call either Frank or Jackie and they were both super responsive and ALWAYS had an answer. They helped me organize, decide and ultimately made the entire wedding go very smoothly. On the day of the rehearsal dinner I dropped off a large tote box filled with everything needed for the centerpieces. I briefly described how I wanted them to Jackie and she jotted notes down the entire time so that she wouldn't forget any detail. On the day of everything was PERFECT. The staff there was completely supportive and on their game (even brought food out for us while we were taking pictures!) , the tables were set up exactly how I wanted them, the service was flawless and I seriously could not have asked for a more organized and dedicated staff. I was so happy with the level of professionalism and dedication that Frank, Jackie and their staff exhibited that I would absolutely recommend their services to anyone who is looking for a place to host their reception, or any other function for that matter. In addition, the food was incredible. Everything was very consistent and they even provided my grandfather with a low sodium meal at no extra charge since he has had issues with his heart. I highly recommend this venue!

Excellent service and outstanding value. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. At the end of the evening the staff packed up everything and loaded it into the car. I did not expect such wonderful service.

The food was amazing, the service was great, and it was one of the most reasonably priced venues in Connecticut. I highly recommend the Glastonbury Hills Country club for an October wedding with the foliage in the background.

My husband and i were very happy with the service that frank and his staff provided. They were very helpful with the center pieces and making sure everything was in order. However, it would have been nice to be able to use more of the grounds for pictures. We strongly advise attending the open house.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with the service GHCC provided. The even went off without any problems, the food was great and the place looked beautiful!

We were so pleased with everything at Glastonbury Hills. The wedding consultants, Jackie & Frank, were amazing. The weather was unpredictable and we wanted to get married outdoors. It rained up until about 1/2 before the ceremony start and although they set the reception room up for the ceremony were very accomodating when the sun came out and I decide I did in fact want the ceremony outside. They took care of all the items I had dropped off the week before and even the items we brought in the night before were nicely placed exactly where I requested. We did not have to worry about a thing the day of the wedding. Both Jackie & Frank saw to it that everything was exactly as I wanted it. Would strongly recommend this venue for a wedding or any special occasion.

Glastonbury Hills Country Club's staff was amazing. They were attantive to our needs and helped in any way. I was able to bring center pieces, favors, and serving utensils for the cake the day before the wedding and they set everything up for me. Everything was so beautiful. On the day of the wedding, they made us feel like a King and Queen. Anything we needed or wanted they were right there to do. The view from the window in the reception hall was beautiful. I loved everything about it!

This venue is set in beautiful location, you are in the hills of Glastonbury on a well landscaped golf course. The interior of the venue is spacious as well as provides with huge windows all around, allowing you to appreciate the scenery as well as providing with you with plenty of natural lighting which allows for great photos to be taken.

The staff was very impressive, from the coordinator, chefs, to the wait staff. They were all very attentive and made sure all guests were comfortable. The menu was also great in providing a variety of meals and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this location. I had approximately 200 guests and feel that this venue accomodated so many with ease.

Glastonbury hills made our wedding day perfect and the food was amazing and the venue is beautiful!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception on November 25th at the GHCC and it was amazing!!! It is all newly renovated and the main room is just gorgeous. We had so many compliments all night and the week following on how classy and beautiful the venue was. Alison worked with us on the day of the wedding and I cannot compliment her enough on being so organized and thorough and making sure our day was perfect. I have a large family and she made sure everyone was where they needed to be at the right times so I didn't have to worry. You are in good hands with Alison. Also Donna the head waitress was so great as well, letting us know each time she served us a meal so that we didn't let it get cold. Perfect 10 score for the GHCC!!

We had our wedding reception at Glastonbury Hills on May 31, 2014. Overall, it was a great experience. The food was delicious; our friends and family continue to rave about it. We worked closely with Frank and never met anyone else at the facility. We were very surprised on the day of our wedding when we learned that Eric was running our reception, not Frank. He did a fine job, but we wish we had met him previously! It was nice to have private service during dinner at the sweetheart table, but after that we, the bride and groom, had to get our own drinks and our waters weren't refilled. Everyone seemed to have a good time!

Jackie was fantastic all evening - I never noticed anything go wrong. The food was delicious, the guests were happy, and all the events of the reception went smoothly. Best of all, so reasonably priced! Would tell every bride in the Greater Hartford area to go check it out.

GHCC was a great wedding venue. Frank and the entire staff were very professional and it is a beautiful place to get married. Highly recommended!

A gorgeous location for a summer wedding! The huge windows were great to watch the sunset on our wedding night. Frank was bartending the entire night...Jackie assisted my husband and I. Jackie even offered to do my bustle. The wedding party had their own waitress for drinks and appetizers during cocktail hour which was very nice. They greeted us as soon as the limo pulled up.

My husband is a vegetarian so they made sure there was a decent vegetarian/vegan option for him (not just pasta and vegetables). He RAVED about the stuffed portobella mushroom with chili black beans. Kudos to the chef!

Overall, an EXCELLENT experience.

I do want to note that I gave a 3.5/5 stars for professionalism because Frank was very friendly/willing to answer questions/accomodating until our final payment when all of a sudden he wasn't so friendly and made me seem like a nuisance when I called asking questions week before the wedding. My questions DID get answered, but he just wasn't as friendly.

Leading up to our wedding, Frank and Jackie were wonderful in securing all of the details for our big day and really made us very comfortable with having them as our venue. They were quick to respond and very easy to work with. The day of the wedding however, a different fellow who claimed himself as the "manager", was awful! Our guests arrived and were denied access inside. Now, it does state that they do not typically open until 6:30 so they have enough time to clean up from a morning wedding and set up for the evening but this was not the case as the dining hall was fully set up for us the day before. We had several elderly family members, one being 91 that were made to stand outside for 20 minutes while the sky threatened to rain. My mother and mother-in-law approached the "manager" and staff attendant Donna asking if they could have the foyer opened for the older people to sit down and they just kept refusing saying they don't open until 6:30. When asked what he would do if it started to rain, he snidely responded "Well I guess we'd be having bad weather then" and continued to do nothing. Once they finally opened the doors for our guests, he introduced himself and just kept talking about how he has 5 kids at home and this is a part time "gig" for him and implied by his choice of words that he'd rather be home than working. The rest of the night was flawless, the food was good, not as good as the it was at the tasting but good nonetheless. It was really too bad that they had such poor representation of themselves through this "manager" when we had about 10 couples looking to get married in the next year or two present at our wedding.

It rained on my wedding day and I was very pleased to see them out with large umbrellas when we pulled up. They didn't mind that people arrived early and were understanding with the situation. The appetizers were AMAZING and they made sure my husband and I got to them all first. The staff was very attentive to the bridal party during cocktail hour and promptly got drinks, etc. They got everything organized at the end of the night and were happy to help carry everything out with us. My food was good but my husband got both the prime rib and balsamic swordfish - liked the prime rib but the swordfish was not good. We checked with others whose said theirs was very good, disappointing for him but glad it wasn't everyone's. They only other bad things were that I specifically asked for the card holder to NOT be placed by the door. Frank assured me no big deal, but when I arrived it was near the door- nothing happened but it was a request ignored. My cake was supposed to have champagne glasses (two small plastic) with champagne and they didn't fill them because they were worried it would spill when they moved the cake. I thought it looked stupid empty and they should have filled them and removed the glasses when they move the cake. It was too late once I noticed. Again not a big deal but.

Overall our wedding day was absolutely wonderful. We wanted to have our ceremony outside and the weather cooperated! It would have been nice if we could have used more of the grounds for our pictures, unfortunatly we were only allowed to use about 100 sq. feet of the 20 acre golf coarse, and even our photographers commented that this was the only country club they'd worked at that wouldn't let us use the grounds. Who advertises that they have huge, beautiful grounds(but you can't use them!)? Also throughout the entire year long planning process we delt with Frank, who was awesome! However when it came down to the week before Frank was non existant! His assistant Jackie was there when I came to drop off all of our centerpiece items, seating cards, final guest list, and everytime I asked her a question her response was "Oh I don't know, that's Frank's deal" or "You're going to have to call Frank, I'm not sure". Also when we arrived for the rehearsal she was extremely rude, pushy, and made us all feel like we were an inconvenience to her, as she was pushing us out the door! She made us all feel like idoits as she spoke to us like 5 year olds! I'm sorry I don't know how the ceremony is supposed to go... I've never been married before! When it came to the day of, 1/2 an hour before the ceremony she threw the box of corsages/boutineers at my husband and said "here, hand these out!" I'm sorry... isn't that what I'm paying you for? Once again, all night she was rude and pushy, like she was trying to rush our evening along and get us out! My Dj and myself had arranged an entire "schedule of events" for the whole evening and she got a copy of it, so the fact that she kept rushing everything simply got old! At the end of the night she was actually picking up all of our things and throwing them into boxes and wheeling them outside before the event was even over! My Dj, photographers, Justice of the Peace, and unforturnately even some of our guests noticed her unbelievable, and quite frankly, unaccepatable behaivor! It's pretty bad when your grandmother comes over to ask "who is that woman, and why is she being so rude?"

Overall, we managed to ignore her and look past her behaivor and had a great night! The food and service was great, with the exception of her! I understand that it is her job to keep things moving and organized, but it is also her job to be NICE, and she WAS NOT!
