Juanita is Phenomenal
I have booked her services several times in the past few years. They are highly professional and trustworthy. I had pregnancy eczema twice during my booking. They took care of my skin and made sure the makeup was on point without disrupting my skin. -

Juanita and her team worked on myself, my mom, and most of my bridesmaids for hair and makeup. I was a bride who wasn't super confident in what I wanted, I just knew that I wanted to look like myself, but a little elevated for my wedding days. From my first make-up trial with Juanita, I knew she would make this vision come true. Juanita and her team are well worth the price. I felt beautiful and secure for the entirety of my wedding days. Even with the unusual heat and sweating, my makeup did not move and my hair stayed perfect! Juanita was even sweet enough to walk me through some wedding day stress. 10/10 recommend this team! -

Glamorous by Juanita team is really talented. I hired them for my bridesmaids and family and everyone loved their work. Communicating with the team while planning the wedding was very easy they are very responsive and understanding. I truly recommend them for any wedding makeup needs. -

Louie did my hair and makeup for both our Hindu and Catholic ceremony events, while other members of the team did hair and makeup for my family and bridal party. I was so happy with how it all turned out!! I was looking for someone with experience with South Asian skin tones, and to execute a natural but slightly elevated look. Louie did such an amazing job with everything - she understood my vision, and also gave suggestions and recommendations to help achieve the look I wanted. Louie’s energy was so great to be around, especially considering the early mornings for both wedding events. From when I met her at my trial, I knew she would bring great energy to work with and be around - she made getting ready in the mornings stress-free and fun. In terms of planning and preparing for the events, the team was helpful, responsive, and very flexible. I would definitely recommend Louie and the team to others! -

The Glamorous by Juanita team was simply amazing and so awesome to work with! I had them do hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, mom, and aunts for my wedding day and all of them were so so thrilled with their looks. Each and every artist works to understand your vision and what makes you feel beautiful and it really showed. The team was also on time and easy to communicate with so that my girls and I had no worries the day of! I would definitely work with this team again for my next big event and highly recommend them if you’re looking for bridal/non-bridal makeup and hair. -

Glamorous By Juanita truly went above and beyond and I can’t say enough about how happy I was with booking this team for my brother’s wedding. (I’m still waiting on pictures and am kinda the worst at them but i included a few to hopefully still show off their perfect work)
if they’ll still have me after all the headaches I caused, I’d probably only book with her in the future.
They handled everything so smoothly, and quick to adapt. Juanita and her each one of her artists provided extraordinary service.
And i mean the whole point is to look amazing and i really felt so pretty. The makeup was done to my liking and hair as well. Very receptive to tweaking and changing to get you the perfect look as long as you’re reasonable. They still worked hard to stay in the time slots and get you to your events on time.
And can I say I was transformed..I have had my own personal health struggles and so
I was self conscious about my lack of hair and other things that weren’t making me look my best. When I say you would have had no idea, you really wouldn’t. People genuinely didn’t recognize me, (ouch LOL but still) and i looked like a healthy normal person at my complete best after a great makeup artist.
They were patient and worked with me, first event not using extensions still doing a great job so i was comfortable with it. Then providing them last minute ( which was SO kind of them under short notice ). Every artist was thoughtful and a genuine person. They were patient with making sure each step of the makeup process was to my and my mother’s liking before moving on.
Indian weddings are chaos from people barging around, to changing times a bit, Glamorous by Juanita truly excelled. Their service really couldn’t be matched. From the fact that i had booked with her back in 2019 for a 2020 wedding and stayed in brief communication she still picked the ball right up when we finally had my brothers wedding this year 2022.
This review has been sitting in the back of my head because i knew i could not just not write a review for the such great service. Their attention to detail, willingness to work with you is nothing something typical in for a team that provides such excellent service.
All the artists were warm and friendly all of us, and truly made this experience possible. Very patient and attentive team. I would 100% recommend and book again. -

Oh my goodness! I cannot say enough good things about Juanita. She is a true professional and made me look better than I ever could have imagined for my Hindu Ceremony and reception. She traveled all the day to Southampton, NY for me. I wasn't sure about what I wanted for my look and since I live in Chicago, so I wasn't able to do a trial. I trusted in Juanita and I was beyond happy with the result. I highly highly highly recommend her. There are a lot of options out there, but Juanita is the best. -

I used Glamorous by Juanita for me, my mom and bridal party at my wedding. I think Juanita and her team did a great job with everyone’s hair and makeup. My ladies have a variety of hair textures and skin types and I think everyone looked great! My makeup lasted throughout the night. I chose a more neutral lip color and It looked fine even though I never re-applied. Everyone was ready on time!!
I highly recommend a trial since the style I originally picked was way too dramatic for me and experimenting helped us fine tune what I wanted. -

She made sure to listen to what we wanted, since we all don't wear much makeup on a daily basis and still wanted to look like ourselves. She was very professional, super friendly, and even got to my house early which ended up being really helpful in moving things along that morning. Would definitely recommend! :)

Highly Recommend for Bridal and Party Makeup!
Lauren did four events starting with my bridal shower and did an amazing job for each event, my skin and hair looked so good the entire event and all the looks flowed really well for the dresses I was wearing. I normally like very minimalistic makeup looks and not heavy glam but she helped me get out of my comfort zone for the bridal looks and I was very happy with them. I appreciate her flexibility in timing and communicativeness with the team and Lauren and I recommend her for any wedding and bridal related event looks as not only she is great at what she does but, is also an amazing person! -

Note: this review is only for Juanita's hair work, not for makeup or for any members of her team as I did not work with any of them.
Juanita is a wizard with bridal hair! She is a true professional in that she can do practically anything you want with hair, but also makes sure her clients feel good about the hairstyle she has given them. Her end goal is exactly that, and she operates in a low-ego manner in an industry where there are so many opinions and preferences on how things should be done. While Juanita does go with whatever her clients ultimately want, note that she is generally always right when she recommends something different than what you think you want :) She has an uncanny ability to style your hair in a way that flatters your face/entire look in the best way possible. When it comes to contracting, she is very clear in her communication and her rates. The only thing I would say to keep a close eye on is for scheduling on the day of if you have hired her for multiple people. There were a few hiccups when the first schedule came my way a month before the wedding, but we quickly got to the bottom of the confusion with the help of our coordinator and ended up with a schedule that worked really well for me plus two others.
Thanks for making my wedding weekend so special and for making me look and feel like royalty! -

Laura was my assigned artist; she did both my hair and makeup for 4 days straight for my sister’s wedding. I was the maid of honor and really wanted each look to be different. She totally understood my vision and surpassed my expectations! -

Great experience with this team. I had Juanita as my artist for a 2 wedding looks. Ive been in bridal parities so chose her for myself and bridal party. They responded to everything timely, was professional and flexible with last minute add ons. They dont require much from you and came prepared for whatever they needed. They were on time as long as we were. I do recommend a trial if youre the bride. -

I had a great experience working with Louie from the Glamorous by Juanita team as my hair and makeup artist for my wedding events. She was amazing at her job, listened to what I wanted, and made changes if necessary to make sure I felt my best on my wedding day. I don’t typically wear a lot of makeup and wanted a lighter look than the traditional South Asian bridal norm, so having a HMUA that listened and was open to my input was really important to me and Louie was just that. Ami, who draped my saree, did a great job with my bridal kanchipuram saree and I felt super confident in how I looked at my wedding day. My mehendi saree, which was pre-draped without an in-person draper and my mom’s wedding kanchipuram required some adjustment and were not quite perfect, but overall still worked out well.
I had to have a little bit of back and forth on the admin side a week before the wedding to get final logistics set in stone, and while I would have preferred to have done that earlier because it was extremely tight for me to drop off sarees in a different state with 3 days before the wedding, I understand that this was the timeline outlined in the contract. Also once I was able to hop on the phone with Juanita the details were very easy to figure out. Because the admin team is separate from the artist team, I think sometimes there can be a breakdown in communication over email, but I appreciated the responsiveness to get things sorted. Just something to be aware of if you are a bride that needs saree draping for your wedding day or needs things finalized more than a week out. Overall I recommend the Glamorous by Juanita team for your South Asian special events!

Natalia was professional and easy to talk to. She made me at ease during my special day, celebrating our intimate renewal of vows and I received a lot of compliments of my hair and makeup! They all loved the flawlessness and the way my look was enhanced, highlighted and not heavily made up. The way I wanted to look that day, Natalia made it all happen! She ticked off everything in my hair and makeup wishlist box. She executed the way I intended to look. She was also very respectfully honest if certain palette or hues would not compliment me, she truly worked with her client and looked out what was best for them. My hair and makeup lasted until the following morning without smudging, retouching, or refixing! HIGHLY RECOMMEND her! -
