The best HMUA in Houston!!!
I cannot recommend Glaiza enough! She truly goes above and beyond when it comes to her hair and makeup services. Her communication skills are amazing, which, during my wedding planning era, I came to deeply appreciate. She provided thoughtful tips and expert advice to help achieve the exact look I envisioned, and she was always open to any changes from the bridal trial all the way to the big day.
One thing that truly sets Glaiza apart is how incredibly skilled she is at working with Asian features. She understands how to enhance natural beauty without overpowering it and customized everything to suit my facial structure, skin tone, and personal style. She is an incredible listener and was able to execute my vision perfectly. She made me feel confident, heard, and absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t be happier with my experience! Glaiza was actually the very first makeup artist to ever do my makeup for prom, and here we are 11 years later with her doing my makeup again — such a full-circle moment. I fucking LOVE Glaiza. 10/10 would recommend her to anyone and everyone. I am NOT a makeup person at all. I hate thick and heavy makeup. I tried 3 other artists before landing on her, and once I did, that was it. She is officially my forever to go person.❤️
She made me look flawless while still looking like myself. My makeup lasted the entire day and night through pictures, dancing, and drinking. I was so drunk I fell asleep with my makeup on (I know, horrible), and I woke up still looking fine AF. 😜 That alone says everything. On top of that, she genuinely cares. She followed me to the gas station and pumped gas for me because she didn’t want me to ruin my dress. Who does that?!
She’s professional, chill, insanely talented, and actually listens to what you want. If you hate cakey makeup or are super picky, book Glaiza. You will not regret it! 10/10! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -

Glaiza is honestly one of the BEST artist in Houston no lie!! She is super responsive, friendly, attentive, professional and very detailed orientated. I'm typically not the type to wear make up often, but she made me look AMAZING on BOTH my tea ceremony and wedding day.
I've experienced other bridal trials and none of them were even comparable to Glaiza! I highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for an artist in the Houston area. She will definitely go above your expectations and deliver! The products she used didn't make my face look cakey and on top of that it lasted all day with an outdoor ceremony! Her style of work compliments and enhances your features in such a natural way.
Thankfully, I was recommended to her by a close friend and I don't think I'll ever look elsewhere for another artist. She raised the bar too high! Really cannot thank her enough for making me look beautiful on our special day. -

I got the bridal trial and natural glam bridal package as well as hair services for my mom, grandma, MIL, and MOH. I am so impressed by how quick and efficient she was during both the trial and the day of. Glaiza was always just a text away, and I even asked her for her recommendation for hair accessories between my trial and wedding day.
During the trial, I brought some reference photos and mentioned things I typically like and dislike when it comes to make up. She took all of those things into consideration and was honest when there were things that I wanted that wouldn't work with my facial features. I wore the hair and makeup for a few hours and took some notes about what worked well and didn't work well. She took all of my feedback and we made the adjustments accordingly for wedding day.
On the actual wedding day, I absolutely loved my hair and make up, and I'd never felt so beautiful and comfortable in my life! I am so grateful for how kind and attentive Glaiza was, and I'm so glad I could book her before her maternity leave.
I would definitely recommend her services to all of my family and friends, and wouldn't hesitate to use her again for future events! -

Best hair and makeup!
Glaiza is so talented and professional!. She truly understood the look I was going for and really listened to what I wanted. Everything came out exactly as I pictured. I had tried 2 other makeup artists before finding Glaiza so I’m probably on the pickier side and Glaiza was still able to meet my expectations. She even helped out my mom last minute when she needed her makeup and hair done the day of my wedding! Glaiza was flexible and rolled with the punches. 10/10!! Highly recommend! -

You won't regret hiring Glaiza!
Hair and makeup were among my top priorities for my wedding day, so I made the decision to book bridal trials with different HAMU artists prior to choosing a vendor. I heavily stressed the importance of ensuring both the wedding party and I looked and felt beautiful, while still feeling like ourselves. Let me save you the time and money - Glaiza is perfect for the job!
At my first bridal trial prior to booking Glaiza, I provided an inspiration photo of what I wanted for my wedding day. Before working her magic, she spent the first 10 minutes asking all the right questions to fully understand what I wanted, and I could already notice her attention to detail. I wasn't sure how I wanted to do my hair at the time, and Glaiza was kind enough to style my hair in different options she thought would complement my dress and makeup.
I appreciated that Glaiza took her time and did not rush through our trial. She was also an absolute pleasure to talk to the entire time, which made sitting still for hours much more bearable. My makeup and hair was flawless the entire day, and I was sold! I knew I had to book her on what I assumed would be a very wedding popular date ASAP.
After booking her, I scheduled another bridal trial with Glaiza for my local engagement photoshoot. I had very minor fixes from the initial trial and she executed exactly what I wanted again. She's detail-oriented and consistent, and I felt even more confident about my decision to book Glaiza. She even recommended products and gave me tips for when I had to do my own makeup for my destination engagement photoshoot.
On the day of my wedding, Glaiza did hair and makeup for me, my two matron of honors, and my (now) mother-in-law. I had a big wedding party, and Glaiza recommended another make-up artist to assist with the day of for the remaining bridesmaids. I couldn't tell you how many compliments we got on our hair and makeup. We all felt and looked so beautiful, which exactly was what I wanted! My makeup lasted the entire day, which is saying a lot with Houston's humidity! I never felt so beautiful, and I will continue to use Glaiza for future occasions. You won't regret choosing her. -

Glaiza made me feel like a queen on my wedding day!
Glaiza was an absolute joy to work with! I'll admit I am one picky bride - I was looking for a MUAH artist who is extremely detail-oriented, thoughtful, and flexible. Glaiza was able to deliver all of that. Since the beginning of the trial, she was so open to listen to my concerns and requests. On my actual wedding day, she made me feel like a queen! She was so thoughtful and even helped me with touchups after I cried my eyes out during first look.

Felt and looked amazing on my wedding day!
I felt soooo beautiful on the day of my wedding! My bridesmaids and I all looked so good! Glaiza did my hair and makeup like just like how I wanted. When I got my wedding photos back, I was blown away with how amazing I looked! amazing job doing my hair and makeup. All day I was
receiving compliments about how I looked. I only had
2 hrs of sleep on my wedding day, and was worried

Glaiza was amazing to work with. I don't know what kind of magic she used but my makeup was on point. Usually my makeup gets oily but it lasted all night with no issues. She also did my hair and it matched exactly as the picture that I showed her. My bridesmaids were also very happy with their hair/make up. On top of doing a great job, while the photographers were taking pictures of me, she went above and beyond to make sure my hair and my dress was on point. I would highly recommend her. -

Long lasting makeup & hair by Glaiza
I had contacted numerous hair and makeup artists and I was so glad one of my close friend recommended Glaiza. She did my hair and full glam makeup on my wedding day, June 18th 2022, and it lasted until the end of the night throughout this summer heat in Houston. I had a spray tan and she was able to match the color so everything blended. She had another artist to help out because my 5 bridesmaids and the mother of the groom also had their hair and makeup done. Glaiza was very friendly and professional and I was so happy that she was flexible and was able to provide her service at 4am so we can all be done for the tea ceremony. She also installed my hair extensions so my hair can look long and full. Overall, I am really happy with Glaiza and I highly recommend her services, I will definitely reach out to her again when I need a HMUA. -

We went through trial, changes, many questions (from beauty schedules prior the big day to whether my extensions matched my hair) and she was on top of everything. I didn’t have any experience working with professional vendors prior to this but I must say, Glaiza is the best hair & makeup artist you can have on your special day! Great quality of work using some of the most high-end tools and products. My girls & I are so happy we got our hair & makeup done by her. We can’t thank her enough for making us all look so beautiful. When looking for a makeup artist, I only wanted 3 things: an Asian-owned business, a woman, and a small business because I feel like if I went with a bigger business, they wouldn’t be as caring and sweet as Glaiza. Not only is she sweet, but she is also professional, efficient, easy to talk to, and gives great advice/suggestions. I originally planned not to have my bridal party with me when I said my I do’s and have them come after for photos, but Glaiza suggested they be there and I’m so glad she did. She is definitely like a real-life fairy godmother. I felt like Cinderella in my glam and having my bridal party with me! I highly recommend her for any event and would hire her again if I decide to have another event! -

Glaiza did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup!!! I am very happy with how it turned out. Hire her and you won't be disappointed.
I found Glaiza through weddingwire. I wasn't happy with my previous makeup lady so about roughly a month before my wedding I took a chance and I was so glad she wasn't booked up yet on the day of my wedding. She is very responsive and very professional.
She brings all her make up and equipment and she's very flexible, not to mention talented. All the make up and hair products she used are high quality stuff. She is also able to bring out the best look for you that matches your face and eye shape without looking like it's too much. Just search for her on instagram and the pictures speak of her talent.
Overall I'm really happy with her and will hire her again in a heartbeat if I ever need make up and/or hair again. -

Simply Beautiful!
Glaiza and her team did an AMAZING job of taking care of hair and makeup for me, my mother, mother-in-law and my 9 bridesmaids on my wedding day. (My review was delayed because I was waiting for our photos) I know it was a huge task to beautify all of us, so thank yall so much! All the girls looked so stunning and I especially love the makeup and hair that was done for my mother and MIL - they looked so gorgeous! I wanted Hollywood glam waves for my hair and I was so impressed that my curls still held their shape at the end of the night! Best Make-Up Artist!!!
Glaiza is amazing. In my opinion, she's better and more affordable than most makeup artists in Houston. From the moment I contacted her, she was always very responsive. I am the most indecisive person in the world, and she had so much patience for me. She really helped me figure out what kind of vibe I was going for. Before the wedding, she made a detailed itinerary of who was getting their makeup done at what time. On the actual wedding day, she showed up before any of my bridesmaids (a very punctual lady)! She has such a soothing presence. She's literally the only makeup artist I've ever trusted with my eye makeup. I really wanted a natural wedding look, and Glaiza nailed it. Her hair/makeup lasted the whole day without any need for touch-ups. Highly recommend her for all of your makeup needs!!! -

Working with Glaiza was entirely stress-free; she is extremely professional and organized and I never worried for a minute that things wouldn't go smoothly.
She reached out to me before the wedding to make sure everyone was on the same page about the schedule and sent me a detailed schedule with everyone's start time. Glaiza and her team were amazingly efficient without compromising quality in the slightest. We had 5 bridesmaids plus myself getting hair and make-up done before photos started at 1:00. Glaiza and her team were right on time in the morning, did an amazing job with everyone's look. Every single one looked like the prettiest versions of themselves without being overdone.
The wedding hair was absolutely incredible and held up through hours of dancing way into the wee hours that night and the makeup was exactly what I wanted and it held up through more tears than I did.
Glaiza and her team were absolutely amazing and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. -

I found Glaiza through wedding wire and booked her shortly after our first conversation. She did hair and makeup for myself and two bridesmaids the morning before my wedding, and we also did a trial run. I don't really wear a lot of make-up day-to-day (had never work fake eyelashes until the makeup trial and never had airbrush make up lol) so I really trusted Glaiza to doll me up but still look like myself. Both the hair and makeup stayed fresh throughout the entire event and compliments galore for myself and my bridesmaids. Glaiza is honestly so sweet and talented, you won't be disappointed. -

Glaiza was amazing! I just got married yesterday and could not wait another day to write a review! That’s how amazed I was by Glaiza’s work. She was flexible and responds promptly to texts and inquiries. I had add one more person for hair and makeup pretty much a week before my wedding and she changed my invoice right away with no questions asked. She’s just a really sweet person, professional and efficient. It was also a very windy night and had to get our pictures taken outside and my hair stayed intact all throughout the night! She’s just an amazing artist and could not have picked a better hair and make up stylist. Also, my bridesmaids were impressed by her work they told me they would hire her if they need a hair and MUA. I would HIGHLY recommend her. She is so passionate and one of the best!! -

Sweet and Professional
Glaiza was wonderful! I booked her for a civil wedding hair and make up. If there were aspects I was feeling unsure about such as dark eyeshadow or eyeliner, she took the time to make sure everything was what I wanted! She was even kind enough to do light hair and make up on my mom last minute! Everything went great and I would recommend her for all your hair and make up needs! Glaiza and Rain are super awesome. They did exactly what I wanted for my hairstyle and makeup. Got so much compliments on my wedding day. They are also super sweet and nice. Highly recommended. I have them done my bridal makeup and hair, groom touch up and 5 of my girls’ hair and makeup. I don’t have a picture of my bridal hair yet, but will upload them when I get it from my photographer. Spectacular
If you are very particular like me then you will love her. I really like drastic look, and she was able to duplicate a picture I had showed her. I didn't get much sleep the night before and she was so gentle, it went by so quick, I was surprised she was done. The make up lasted till the next day without it being smudge or anything. I didn't even get the retouch service she provided because she was doing another wedding. I highly recommend her.

After researching an overwhelming number of make up artists / hair stylists in the Houston area for my wedding, I was so glad I went with Glaiza. She was perfection. Sweet, friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable/experienced. You’ll get quality and professional services that’s budget friendly, which is hard to beat elsewhere! All 5 of my bridesmaids also absolutely LOVED their make-ups and hairdos, and they had many compliments throughout the day & night. It held the test of time, from finishing the last touches at 9am to rocking the night away until 11pm. My bridesmaids were young, sweet girls about 16-25 years old and Glaiza made sure they were dolled up yet not covered up, so their natural beauty still shined through. Glaiza’s work is so amazing and she’s so easy going and comfortable to be around that I booked her again! This time I was a wedding guest. After she finished dolling me up, I remembered exactly why I fell in love with her work the first time around. I was so lucky she was available on my wedding day, but don’t be like me. I hired Glaiza for my bridal shoot makeup and she did a very good job! She always responds quickly to my questions. She cares for the guest and tries her best to work with your schedule.
