Outstanding experience
Gil’s recently catered our daughter’s wedding at Hickory Street Annex and did a fantastic job. Everything about their process was extremely professional and they were very responsive. The planning went wonderfully with the only exception of picking out which of the food to order. On the day of the event, the food was masterfully prepared and the service by the waitstaff and bartenders was tremendous. I would strongly recommend Gils for anyone looking for a caterer. -

Fantastic Service and Food
Gil's was AMAZING to work with! Their team is extremely responsive and revised our menu as many times as we asked. They were super professional and the food was INCREDIBLE. Everyone was raving about how good the food was, and the bartending staff were on top of it the entire night! They provided all of the mixers too, including ingredients and garnishes for our signature cocktails! 10/10 recommend--they made this part of the wedding completely stress-free. -

Great food!!
Gil’s was absolutely awesome at our wedding! Our buffet was absolutely delicious! We had kid meals for the younger ones. We had a complimentary late night snack courtesy of Gil’s. Jackie was very helpful answering questions! All of our guests loved the food! The salmon was my favorite! Thank you! -

Excellent service!
The food was amazing! We were able to try everything at taste testings and make changes to how some of the foods were prepared. We also had many guests with food allergies that they were able to accommodate. Finally, we had very specific requests with our signature cocktails, and they could not have tasted better. -

Gil's Was Wonderful!
Gil’s Elegant Catering was perfect! The food was delicious, and we received many complements. Jackie and her entire team were so great to work with. Jackie is very thorough with her proposals, and there are no hidden costs. She also gave us terrific advice on everything from the menu to table arrangement, and she and asked key questions that really made a difference in the flow of the venue.-

Fabulous food, service, and drinks!
Jackie with Gil's was amazing to work with, not only did she help us with every step of the way, she gave honest opinions on the menu and really helped guide us to make the best decisions! We had 3 action stations at our wedding and picked the mac n cheese bar, avocado bar, and carving station with salmon and sirloin.
I had so many guests come up to me at the wedding and tell me how amazing the food was. Everything was so elegantly prepared and plated. Jackie helped me with the linen selection as well to make it a seamless process. Her staff is phenomenal to say the least, they make great drinks, help the guests, and do not miss a beat. We’re so lucky to have been able to with Gil's!

We hired Gil's for our wedding. They were incredibly helpful as we navigated all of the rule changes that COVID brought to our wedding. The team knew exactly how to pivot while keeping our vision in place. The food was spectacular and the service is top notch. You feel like you have a collaborator when planning your food & beverage choices -

Best caterer in dfw!
Everyone should hire Gils Elegant Catering for their wedding! Jackie Alberts will make your reception perfect! She will dot every I and cross every T. I couldn't be happier with using Gils. I was blown away with how perfectly executed every detail of the reception was. The tables were beautiful set up; the food was perfectly displayed and THE BEST FOOD EVER; and the service was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Truly, the best service and food you could ask for. We had our reception at Four Corners Brewery. We had three food stations: a meat carving station, charcuterie station, and taco station. Everyone kept RAVING about how good the food was. The servers were incredible and catered to all our guests' needs. They passed around drinks and apps during cocktail hour, and they kept the venue clean! The night flowed perfectly, and we couldn't have done it without Gil's! Every detail was perfect: from how the tables and food were set up, to passing out cake, to passing out milk and cookies at the end of the night, to passing out our send off flags! Jackie came up with our send off idea: little Costa Rican flags (we were leaving for Costa Rica for our Honeymoon). The night was perfect! THANK YOU JACKIE AND GIL'S!-

Exceptional Menu Options and Outstanding Service!
We looked carefully at several different caterers, but ultimately chose Gil's for the flexibility in menu choices they offered. Their service and responsiveness from our first tasting, to the night of our event was outstanding. We chose to have Stations at our wedding, and Brenda and Jackie were both extremely knowledgeable and flexible in making both large and small changes to our selections. On the night of, our Event Manager Alberto did an exceptional job of making sure our guests were well taken care of. The service staff not only did everything we asked them to do, but took care of so many details I had not even anticipated. The food quality was excellent, the menu options were creative, and the display was fun and inviting as well. I think choosing Gil's was among the best decisions we made for my daughter's wedding. -

Delight for you Tastebuds
Working with Gil's was a delight! They are very professional and their staff efficient. Any changes or phone calls to discuss items was returned promptly and they offered excellent input. They offered a beautiful spread of the eats we were considering and it was all delicious. -

Best Decision You Will Make on Your Wedding Day
Seriously!!! Wow! Gil's Elegant Catering blew it out of the park on my wedding day! From contacting Gil's to the tasting, everything was so easy and fun! Jackie at Gil's elegant catering went above and beyond. At the tasting we wanted to try the steak with a different sauce and they brought it out right away! All the food was delicious. All of my guests said they never had such amazing food at a wedding before. They personalize everything for you! Easiest and best decision you can make on your wedding day! -

Amazing food and amazing service!
By far, the most impressive catering company we met with - Jackie is so professional, responsive and friendly, and answered any questions we had. She was so knowledgeable about how the evening would flow, and how food stations would work throughout the event, and provided us great advice during the planning process. The food is UNREAL - every item delicious, displays are beautiful, and the staff is so attentive. Everyone raved about the food. Gil's hosts public events to give you time to experience their food and service, but they also do private tastings - and Jackie provided everything we wanted to try, including creating her version of a unique St Louis tradition that my fiancé was adamant about having. Can't speak more highly of this company - don't waste your time anywhere else. -

Delicious food, fabulous displays, great service
Gil's was absolutely AMAZING! We had them cater our wedding at the Dallas Arboretum, and I cannot speak highly enough of them. They made the wedding day easy, and the food was fabulous. Delicious food, great display and great service! Brenda was my contact from the day I first requested information, and she was at our wedding making sure it was flawless. If my glass was empty, she was there filling it up. She even gave us a to-go box at the end of the night with some snacks, our wedding cake, and champagne to enjoy at our hotel afterwards! Everything was spot on and our guests raved about the food (and drinks) saying it was some of the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Overall, Gil's was one of the best vendors we picked for our wedding and I would highly recommend them! -

My parents and fiance at the time all went to the tasting with me, and Jackie treated us like royalty. She asked questions, answered questions, and really let us design a custom catering menu with passed apps, some served and some buffet, served and bar-tended alcohol, cake cutting, and late night pass. We changed our bar menu a few times, and they were happy to accommodate us each time, and it turned out perfectly. The food and the service were above and beyond - I cannot thank Jackie and her team enough for providing such excellent service and great tasting food! -

Gil's was AMAZING! I cannot speak highly enough of them and how easy (and delicious) they made my wedding day! Ethel was on site the day of the wedding and she ensured everything went according to plan. If my glass was empty, she was there filling it up! Jackie, Alberto and the Gil's Team were so amazing to work with. From the responsiveness of emails from the get go, to the personal tasting with Jackie and Alberto, to the grand finale of our wedding, Gil's was absolutely top notch. Their food is phenomenal and very upscale. Our guests are still raving about the passed hors d'oeuvre and the melt in your mouth chicken piccata. Alberto and his team did the best job the day of the wedding. He always made sure my groom and I had what we needed food and drink wise. He was so attentive to our needs throughout the night. We used Gil's for our wedding at the Dallas Arboretum and it was all so delicious! We received lots of compliments on the food - the fact that it was served promptly and was actually still hot! Brenda was so great to work with, made sure no detail went unnoticed, and was very clear about the whole process! She made the whole planning process a breeze! The night of the wedding, they also had a little to-go box for us with snacks, our cake, and champagne!

We had a very hard time picking out our food for the wedding. So many caterers had confusing menu options or didn't really have what we were looking for. Then we met with Brenda and everything changed. Brenda is amazing and she was there every step of the way. Her menus and packages are super straightforward and there is no pressure at all. She did a great job explaining our options and giving her input. For example, we added salmon (based on Brenda's suggestion) for an extra $2 and it was a hit with all the guests. Gil's even threw in a free late night snack for all our guests for booking so early.
Gil's won't disappoint. They go above and beyond, the food was phenomenal (many guests saying it was the best meal they ever had) and their service is top notch. And they are extremely budget friendly. Brenda and her team are the real deal. -

Highly recommended. Brenda and Edith were on top of everything. There were a few minor bumps but all were quickly and well resolved. The food was delicious (I hear because if didn't eat any!). But they very kindly brought myself and my broom prepared plates to eat asap as well as some appetizers in a separate room before we entered the venue. They must have flawlessly done the toast and cake serving because I didn't notice a hitch. My wedding coordinator said they were very helpful in the breakdown as well. -

I HIGHLY recommend Gil's for your wedding catering! All the staff is wonderful and very informative. Gil's offers multiple FREE open house events throughout the year. They're great way to try out all the foods before your tasting. We received so many compliments on the food at the wedding! Choose Gil's!!! Gil's catered my daughter's wedding reception at the Dallas Arboretum/Rosine Hall
and it was SPECTACULAR! Everything was absolutely perfect!! We served salmon,
chicken asiago, veggies, salad, rolls. The guests had nothing but praises to the chef.
Gil's staff was also wonderful, professional, very easy to work with. They were flawless
the entire night. I HIGHLY recommend Gil's to all my Brides. Wonderful service,

They ran everything perfectly. Jackie and Edith is who I worked with and I have never been so stress free while arranging an event. There price point is really on point for how good the food is and they really go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. We got married at the Dallas Arboretum, and Gil's was one of the preferred catering vendors. We spoke with all of the vendors on the preferred list, and even did a tasting with another one, but Gil's was BY FAR the best company! Other vendors charge for every single item (champagne glasses for the toast, coffee cups, napkins, etc.). Gil's included all of the rentals except table linens (and they were very clear about that at the start and provided a realistic quote for that cost). At our first meeting, it was clear that Brenda knew how to run a wedding. I trusted her immediately. The Arboretum has a very condensed and strict timeline (7-11pm), so it was very important that the reception be efficient and run smoothly. Brenda put together an awesome menu (the highlights for me were mesquite smoked salmon and loaded mashed potatoes). Our guests raved about how quickly they went through the buffet line and how tasty the food was. Even my vegetarian/vegan guests were happy with their special meals! At the end of the night, Marina (the catering captain) sent us home with cake, snacks, and champagne. I am so, so happy that we chose Gil's! -

My guests loved the food. Their panco crusted Mac n cheese got raved reviews that I still here about a month after the wedding! Loved the ribeye and chicken!!! Jackie is amazing and so is all her staff!! -

Gil's was amazing. Brenda had all sorts of ideas for food and the timing of the food at the reception. My husband had his homebrew at the reception and Brenda helped distribute it and set up a little tasting station. The food was delicious and there was a great variety for all different people. We had Gil's cater our wedding reception and were very pleased with the experience, food and the service. The guests gave great reviews on the mac and cheese bar and we received many compliments on the presentations at the action stations they set up. Our guests also loved the late night snacks, breakfast tacos that were passed around at the end of the night. We hired Gil's to do our wedding and it proved to be a great choice! Jackie is a sweetheart and has wonderful ideas to compliment even unusual themes ( ours was a fifties retro theme). The food was spectacular and I have received numerous complements on it! The servers were extremely attentive and always busy at work enhancing the service. They served myself and my husband at our table and ensured we actually ate ( unlike many newlyweds) and made sure we and all of our guests were taken care of! If you are looking for 5 star service Gil's is definitely the way to go! -

Gil's was wonderful!! Brenda was a delight to work with. She accommodated our special requests and went above and beyond to make sure my daughter's vision for her reception was exactly what she wanted! Gil's had "events" that we were invited to that were set up like a reception at different venues in town. That was so nice to be able to see exactly what our reception would be like and be able to taste different foods. And the food was amazing!! Could not have been happier!! -

We were recommended Gil's Elegant Catering by our venue and our wedding planner, and we couldn't have been happier with the responsiveness and professionalism displayed by their point-of-contact (Jackie Hickey) as well as their servers/manager/chef on the day of the wedding.
We went with a basic Italian dinner buffet, and our food was hot and the chicken, tender! The manager was thoughtful and wanted to get the food plated for us, the married couple, but since we were already in line, we decided to serve ourselves.
Every step of the way, Gil's showed us that they were thoughtful, experienced professionals--down to the details of providing us with a fruit and cheese tray before the reception, then packing up the cake with a fork and knife for us to savor later. We would recommend them and their services to anyone who is considering Gil's. -

We hired Gil's based on our wedding planner's recommendation, and I am so glad we did! Food is one of the most important choices at your wedding, and I was so glad that our venue allowed us to hire our own caterer. Gil's provided both flexibility and quality. For our winter wedding, we wanted delicious comfort food, so we chose action stations with beef, salmon, grilled cheese, soup, mashed potatoes, veggies, and a salad bar. In addition, Gil's provided an amazing hot chocolate and coffee bar with to go cups and all sorts of yummy toppings. We also used their bartending services. We received so many compliments on the food! The staff brought a plate with a little bit of everything to me and my new husband so that we didn't have to carry our plates. We heard so many stories from people about how you won't eat on your wedding day because you'll be so busy, but they made sure we ate. Our wedding took place during the huge ice storm in DFW, and Gil's showed up completely prepared and on time. The comfort food we chose certainly fit the bill for the weather! At the end of the night, Gil's gave us a nice little cooler with snacks and leftover food for a late night picnic! If you are lucky enough to choose your own caterer, you cannot go wrong with Gil's. Their food is delicious, and the staff is extremely professional. -

Brenda was wonderful to work with. She was great about making recommendations for our menu and listening to what we wanted. She suggested the vendors we used for the cake, photographer, dj, alcohol and florists. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and professional. Our wedding was beautiful, food delicious and so much fun thanks to Gil's!!! The Gil's staff was wonderful at the dinner/dance. So helpful and allowed us to have a stress free evening. Jacueline Hickey was the best coordinator I've ever worked with and the service team was amazing. The leader of the service team (can't recall the gentleman's name but he gave me a card with Luis Elizalde's name, so perhaps that's him) was amazing. I would not hesitate to use you again and again. Gil's Elegant Catering provided superior food and service at the wedding reception of our daughter and new son in law. Brenda, the director of catering, was so helpful in creating the perfect menu and service plan. Our complements go to Luis. The steak and chicken were unbelievably tender and cooked to perfection. In addition, the presentation was impressive. I read so many articles that said don't expect a four star meal at a wedding reception. Well, I think it is fair to say you can EXPECT that from Gil's Elegant Catering. It was delicious and our guests commented the same. The wait staff were attentive and anticipated the needs of our guest throughout the evening. The dinner was served hot in a timely efficient manner, glasses were refilled and the tables were cleared effortlessly. The bartender staff were pleasant and professional. Honestly, the best word I can think of is AMAZING. Gil's Elegant Catering exceeded our expectations Thank you, thank you, thank you.

The one constant comment at my daughter's wedding was about the food and how great it was. I personally thought it was the best wedding food I have ever had. Gil's staff did an awesome job. We almost doubled our guest list at the last minute and they had no problem with handling that. -

Perfect! Gil's helped us create the perfect menu for our brunch theme! We were able to do a tasting before locking down the menu! I loved that they also brought all flatware, dishes, and stemware!
Many of my guests commented that this was the best wedding food they have ever had! They even pack a "to-go" bag for the bride and groom, because you will NOT get to eat during your reception!

Gil's did such a great job at our wedding! Jackie is so fun and helpful to work with and she takes care of everything! Their food is amazing, we got lots of compliments on it! The staff set up a little table in the bridal room of our reception site for us to take a few minutes to relax, eat, drink, and be alone before we went out to mingle and dance, which was perfect! They also packed a little cooler with more food and some cake to put in our car for when we got back to the hotel, and it was exactly what we needed. Thank you! -

We decided to create our own entrees and sides and price shop from that point between caterers. Gil's created what we asked for and it was delicious when we taste tested at their location. Their location is in between Dallas and Fort Worth in an industrial area which explains why they are able to price their food so low.
We continued to shop around for other vendors (floral, DJ, etc...) and everyone kept saying how Gil's had the best service. We signed up for several open houses they had and their food continued to stay really good and their servers friendly.
At our wedding people ranted and raved about the quality of the food, the abundance of food (trust me we didnt have a huge budget), and how attentive the servers were. They had food at our table for us the second we sat down and made sure we were accommodated. My guests say they felt the same way.
Jackie Hickey was our captain and she did a phenomenal job. Everything went perfect, and they might have been our best vendor. I would use them again for any event I have in the future.

Probably the best wedding reception food I have ever eaten! 170 guests and the buffet style food was hot/warm and very tasty. The pork tenderlion carving station was delicious; the pork was so tender you did not need a knife to cut it and the raspberry chipolte sauce was perfect. The lobster tortilleni was very tasty, as was the stuffed chicken, southwest salad, and twice baked potatoes. The crab cakes and chipolte pork on sweet potato pancake appetizers were excellent.
The staff were right on top of things at the reception; making sure there was always warm food on the buffet; cleared plates as needed at the tables, and attended to the guests wishes. They were very attentive to the bride and groom and also parents thruout the evening.
Jackie was great to work with; she was always available by phone and would offer suggestions as needed and always willing to make changes if we desired. Very reasonable pricing; we did compare with other caterers and Gil's got our vote on every thing we were concerned about. Tastings were also available; they worked with our busy schedules.
Many of our guests complemented Gil's on their food and service; it was a great dining experience. -

I cannot express how happy we were with Gil's. Great service, delicious food and very flexible and understanding when working out a package. Brenda was great to work with- very responsive and professional to my emails and even came to check on everything at the wedding. We had well over 200 people and a buffet- yet everyone was raving on how delicious the food was. I added a roast beef carving station and was so glad I did- it was so delicious and made me feel like there was plenty to eat. Don't even shop around- just use Gil's. They are awesome! -

Gil's was absolutely amazing. I loved working with Jackie and the Chef completely understood our vision and made it a reality. My husband and I wanted a non-traditional menu for our area and a VERY unique cake. It was our vision to have tapas (small plates) type stations through out the venue so it had more a mingle and munch feeling and not being fans of cake we wanted a Croque en Bouche in lieu of the traditional wedding cake and tartlets in lieu of the grooms cake. In our initial searches for a catering company I was constantly told “we don’t do these things” or "you aren’t ordering enough food" which translated into "I haven’t spoken to you but you aren’t spending enough money". Imagine my amusement at the constant phone calls and emails when I would come back and say "Sorry to hear that, our budget was $X but I understand". From the first email with Jackie it’s like she new exactly what I was talking about and never once made assumptions. She was friendly and bent over backwards for anything we needed.
Food… Oh my GOD, it was fantastic. My husband and I are definitely foodies so our expectations were very high. The chef put together amazingly unique flavor combinations resulting in a little piece of heaven with each bite. We received so many compliments from guests and I still crave some of the items daily. Many of our guests were the meat and potatoes type so it was great to walk around to tables and hear “What on earth am I eating, it’s amazing”, that would be vegetarian dolmas – you know stuffed grape leaves. It was too funny!! My only regret was being too occupied to eat more.
Service at event… The staff was wonderful. The moment my husband and I came into the room they brought over the appetizer trays, wine and a plate with every single item from the menu. They consistently checked in with us but were not overbearing in any way. The guests said the staff was friendly and attentive and helped explain many of the menu items. They even put together an ice chest full of items and sparkling wine for us to take back to the hotel.
So long story short – HIRE GIL’S!!!! You will not be disappointed. If only we could convince them to open a restaurant. I will definitely use Gil’s for any future catering needs I have.

I love Jackie at Gil's Elegant Catering! She always responded the my emails the day I sent them to her and she always made suggestions, not just on the food, also on linens! The staff was great at the wedding. They had food and drinks ready for us at our sweetheart table so we didn't have to go through our buffet line. They even sent food and wine in a cooler for us to take back to our hotel, which was perfect because we really didn't get to eat much with people coming over to say hello. We were really happy with everything! -

This is the second event we had Gil's cater for our family, my wedding & my brother's wedding. The food was delicious, we had duet of chicken & steak with twice baked potatoes & green beans & carrots, and the service was impeccable. Our friends and family were raving about how good the food was and how great the staff was. Brenda was great to work with, easy to communicate with and very accommodating. I would hire them again for another event. We had our reception at the Cotton Mill- where there is no kitchen & had 270 people so they did a great job. Thank you -

Gil's was great! The food was amazing and we are still getting compliments on it and the mac n cheese station :) But the best part for us, was the cute picnic basket put together for us in our limo on the way out from our get-away to our wedding night :) Delicious! -

When I first booked Gil's as my caterer, I had booked them along with the venue, the Empire Room. I was at first not too impressed with the girl (Laura) that handled my account, but she quit shortly thereafter I signed up with them. Then, under a very unfortunate circumstance, the Empire Room was no longer available about 2 months away from my wedding, which was at no fault of Gil's nor I. Brenda from Gil's took over my account immediately, and we worked together to get me a new venue ASAP. Because of them, I was able to get married at my dream venue and no extra cost/penalty to me. I deeply appreciated their professionalism and flexibility during this time, and crisis was averted, resulting in the perfect wedding. In addition, all the guests raved about the food and service. I would highly recommend Gil's to cater at your wedding reception. -

Brenda with Gil's catering went above and beyond with the catering services at our reception. We had a buffet style dinner, but the staff gave special attention to the family of the bride and groom and made them feel special. And of course they made my husband and I feel like royalty. All the guests raved about the food!!! Excellent! -

I contacted Gil's 2 weeks before my daughter's wedding when the caterer we had booked proved unable to provide the services they had originally offered. Without exception, everyone we worked with at Gil's was professional and gracious. They did an outstanding job. I only wish we would have booked them in the first place! -

Gil's food was over the top, so tastful that our guests couldn't get enough!!! Many wanted to go back for seconds! Rachel and the rest of the staff at Gil's was very plesant to work with during the planning process! At the reception the staff was excellent and went beyond meetings everyones needs. Our signature drink was not an easy one and Gil's was so cooperative and helped out a huge deal with the signature drink! Thank you to Rachel and the rest of the staff at Gil's you guys are AWESOME! -

I have been told and agree this is the best food I have ever had at a wedding. They had so many options. Their service was incredible. My glass of wine was never empty, and the head waitress was very attentive. They really know what they are doing. I would use them again if I had the chance. -

They were amazing! Jackie was wonderful to work with, our wait staff, bar tenders were very friendly and did no dissapoint. Now to the food! I had multiple people complement me on how it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten and how great the set up was. We did stations that were set up in mutiple areas of our venue, I never saw a wait and people were able to go around and vist multiple food site - not wait in line for food. I WILL use Gil's agian! I am still dreaming of there mac and cheese! -

Gil's is the most amazing caterer. Their food is remarkablly the best wedding food we have ever had. Our guest raved on and on how wonderful the food was. We never ran out of a single item. I have another daughter who will be getting married in the near future and I can assure you, we will use Gil's. Additionally, their food choices and options are unique, tasty, and beautiful! Jackie, our Gil's coordinator, was over the top organized and a take charge person. She made everything flow perfectly. On a scale of 1-10, Gils is a 10....a must have if they aren't already booked! Gil's Elegant Catering did a superb job for food/drinks for our wedding reception. We received tons of compliments on the quality of the food. The caterer ensured the bride, groom, and their parents were all served food quickly by delivering plates directly to those tables. Also, although they were not responsible for an error on the grooms cake, Jackie went out of her way to correct the mishap and did a good job fixing things up. -

Gil’s was very easy to work with, and they responded promptly when I e-mailed or called them. They’re especially great for a wedding at the Dallas Arboretum because they provide the food at the restaurant there and are very familiar with the facilities. Gil’s was able to customize a menu that fit exactly what I had in mind for my wedding day. The food and the service were both great. My only complaint is that I asked for a build-your-own breakfast taco station (and paid extra for it), and they had the tacos pre-prepared. I shoulder part of the blame for this myself because I didn’t emphasize that the build-your-own aspect was important to me, so I’d recommend being very clear with them if you have any specific wishes. However, that was only a small hiccup in an otherwise great experience! -

Gil's did an excellent job at our wedding. We were so excited about the menu we chose, and Gil's didn't disappoint. Everything tasted incredible! Even almost a month after the wedding, we are still hearing from our guests that the food was fabulous. Our guests especially loved the late-night snack of chocolate chip cookies and milk that Gil's served. -

The food and waiters and waitresses were great! All the planning with Jackie was great, she was very helpful in finding the perfect package for our event and budget. Service to the bride and groom on the day of could have been better and minor things were changed at the last min without our approval, but all in all the service was great, food was great and staff was great. -

The food from Gil's was phenomenal. We ordered the mesquite grilled salmon, which was one of the big HITS of the night. In addition, a lot of people loved the Grilled Cheese station, and I loved the Churrascaria Station too. The service was awesome. My husband and I never had to get up once, the servers kept coming to our table to serve us. We had one minor snag with final invoice not getting settled on time. But Brenda apologized profusely for the mix-up. My husband had to go to their office the day before our wedding and personally drop off the check. Other than that, we thought Gil's was great! -

Jackie with Gil's catering made me feel at ease as soon as I met her. She seemed to have everything together and knew my venue well. I really wish that we would have had another meeting the week of the wedding (even just a phone conference) in order to discuss the details of the reception. There were a few items that were overlooked at the reception. For one, the table cloths were not ironed. They had huge folds in them, which is not the end of the world, but the reason why we rented instead of buying and reselling is because we did not want to have to worry about ironing them the day of the wedding. When you are paying a lot of money for a service, you expect it to be perfect. Also, we had ordered vegetarian dishes (and had MULTIPLE emails about this) and Gil's forgot to bring them on the day of the wedding. We also had only ordered cake for 100 guests (from another vendor) because we ordered cobbler from Gil's for 100 guests as well. We only had about 135 guests, but we were told that these amounts would be plenty as some guests would only take cobbler and others, only cake. However, Gil's did not have the cake on a table for guests to grab, like discussed, instead, they placed them at each guests' seat. Obviously, there were people who never even got a piece of cake - including my MOTHER who paid for the entire wedding!!!
However, I would recommend Gil's again because they were professional and responsive. I would recommend having a meeting of some kind the week of the wedding in order to nail down all of the details. -

We worked with Brenda from Gil's Elegant Catering. The food was incredibly delicious! All of our guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Several people asked for "to-go boxes" because they wanted to take the food home for another meal. I was so happy with the quality and presentation of the food; DELICIOUS!! My only complaint was that they don't respond to emails very quickly. It was frustrating when I had a question and it took several weeks to be answered. But everything turned out fabulous, exactly how I wanted it to. I definitely recommend using Gil's Elegant Catering! -

Gil's Catering did a great job for my wedding. We had some appetizers, a carving station, chopped salads served in martini glasses, and a macaroni bar that was to die for!! Gil's was easy to work with - I met with them several times to discuss my menu. They really worked with me to stay within my budget and get me the menu I wanted. They are by no means a "budget" catering company - their food, like most wedding caterers, is not cheap. But I thought the quality of the food was definitely worth it. Everyone commented on how good the food was! They also provided rentals for my wedding - tables, chairs, tablecloths, and all the servingware. A great vendor - definitely recommend! -

We changed and customized our menu quite a few times. Not incredibly friendly at times, but the food was OUTSTANDING! To this day, the absolute best wedding food I've ever had - and we went with the cheapest option that Gil's offers! -

We selected Gil's as our wedding caterer because of their professionalism and great menu options. Their monthly events were a great way for us to try a variety of their foods ahead of time so we could select the menu that was right for us. In the end, we were very happy with the results. We received multiple comments from our guests on how the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding. The only negatives were that I did not feel they were very responsive to my emails. On multiple occasions, I sent emails asking questions, and would receive half of the answers back while others were ignored. Again, in the end, it all worked out. I would just recommend being very clear, up front with them on the level of communication you expect. -

first: they are good, as i ask some of my family about the food, they said it's good!
they let me provided my own pig! it was $268
second: i'm not quite like the way they bartended, because i didn't know until the day after, they do not let my guest drink when they first arrived! and all my guest complain to me the day after! i do not know why i brought alcholo and not get served when my guest requesting!
third: well, over all other then what i just mention, gil's catering is good! i would love to hve them again, but have to be littlw more pacific about food and other thing! -
