Upbeat Creative Photography

I cannot express enough how flexible and accommodating Gillian was throughout our COVID wedding experience. The little personal touches she adds before, during, and after the wedding experience shows her level of care and investment in your day. Her fun filled personality, positive upbeat energy level, and creativeness definitely shined throughout the day. She captured many special moments and was a pleasure to work with. Amazing photographer!

Gillian was perfect for our wedding day! She was very professional and you can tell she loved being there. The pictures were everything and more! She was also very flexible since we had to move our wedding date due to Covid. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer!

Simply the Best!

Could not have asked for a better photographer! She was professional yet laid back and calm, but also spunky and energetic! She brought the perfect kind of energy to our wedding day. And let's talk about her photos. Just WOW! They have left us speechless. They are classy and timeless. She was sure to capture photos of everything and every person that was important to us! I would highly recommend Gillian for any of your special occasion photos!

Amazing outstanding

I can’t express how much Gillian did at my wedding. Through the whole wedding planning process she was checking in, making sure I was okay and needed anything. She always let me know that I was a priority and that if I needed her she was there. She went above and beyond. She has a calming, take control way about her. Which helped me immensely because I am a high anxiety person. She was the one that calmed me down on my wedding day. She was the one that got a true REAL smile out of myself, my serious husband and my two tween stepdaughters! All the photos she took are just amazing. She did an outstanding job. I made the best decision hiring her for my wedding. If you hire her you will not be disappointed. She is an amazing photographer and a truly happy GOOD person. Thank you Gillian for everything you did.

Best photographer ever!

Our wedding and engagement photos were amazing all because of Gillian's talent!! She did an excellent job getting to know my Husband and I before our big day. She understood what type of photography we enjoyed the most and what type of photos we wanted to avoid. She did a fantastic job illustrating the wedding with her own creative vision. Her personality allowed it to be really easy to get along with and be comfortable in front of a camera. Our friends and family continue to rave about our wedding photos! We truly could not have been happier with Gillian as our photographer!!! I strongly recommend Gillian to all future brides!!! By far our best choice when it came to our wedding! I'm so happy we found our lifelong photographer!

When searching for a wedding photographer, we wanted someone who captured the authenticity of each moment. Gillian was hands down the best choice for our wedding. Her use of real film and her eye for lighting and her attention to our own needs and personalities really made the commemoration of our wedding day a breeze. Gillian is so easy to communicate with and so professional. We are thrilled with the finished product and would choose her again and again!

It was a pleasure to work with Gillian! She was very helpful and reassuring prior to the wedding day, speaking with me on the phone several times and meeting with me in person. She captured beautiful shots on our wedding day, both posed and very unique candids that I adore! My husband and I recently received our wedding album which is gorgeous and was very reasonably priced. I can’t recommend Gillian enough if you have any special occasion you want to remember for a lifetime.

Gillian did not disappoint! The bridal portraits of our daughter are stunning and the wedding and reception photos are beautiful and so much fun. Gillian is adorable and wonderful to work with - we loved her! We also loved working with her husband Joe, with Carolina Limousine, who provided our trolley. Gillian was absolutely AMAZING to work with! Photography was one of the most important aspects for me when planning our wedding and I couldn't of asked for a better photographer! My husband hates having his picture taken and she made him feel so comfortable and we haven't received a single image from her that we haven't loved!! I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Gillian Claire is exceptional. In my opinion the best photographer in the business! I have used her for many occasions my wedding, and many family pictures. Her work is incredible. She is such a joy to work with, her talent just flows right out of her. Her spunk, her energy, her attitude, her creativity, and her patience for my crazy family is why I absolutely love her! I would highly recommend Gillian! She is the BEST!!!!

Gillian made us feel special right off the bat. We met her at a bridal expo and instantly fell in love with her personality and photos. The quality that shooting in film offers is hard to find these days. We stayed in touch throughout the planning process and then her and her assistant, Casie, drove up to the outer banks where the wedding was held. They both made sure that all of our special moments were captured all while smiling, laughing, and having a great time!

We loved Gillian so much! Our pictures are amazing and she was so much fun to work with. We had a tiny wedding, so our guests got to know her too. Everyone absolutely loved her and talked about booking her for sessions with their kids when they come back to Pawleys. Gillian and I got each other and bonded immediately. As Mother of the Bride, I wanted to have a wonderful memory record of the day and a beautiful bridal portrait photograph. Gillian exceeded my expectations by a mile. She was completely unaptrusive during the service and the reception. We have many, many wonderful pictures of the day that captured the joy. My Daughter's Bridal Portrait session was amazing. We had far too many photographs to choose from...which is a great problem to have. Gillian captured our family picture (my Christmas card) with one shot.
Gillian Clare is a Mother of the Bride's dream photographer. She is professional, but has a wonderful personality that made everything run smoothly.

We decided to have a destination wedding and picking vendors from out state is difficult enough! Carolina Studios was highly recommend thru our floral vendor. Gillian was true blessing to work with and we couldnt have been more happier with her work and upbeat attitude! She was so flexible with us ...being out state and knowing I was working with the right vendors made the process that much easier for us!!

Gillian did an amazing job not only with our wedding photos but with the engagement photos and bridal portraits too. I absolutely love all of the photos she took. Gillian is extremely talented and I know I will cherish the photographs she took forever. On a day when things are so busy it is easy to forget exactly how it happened it seems that Gillian was able to capture everything from the tiniest of details to the big event and beyond. Now I never have to worry about forgetting because it is documented for me perfectly. Additionally, I loved how Gillian stayed in touch with us the entire time. She always called prior to any shoot to see if there was anything special we wanted and she called again once we received the pictures to make sure that we liked them. Gillian is very passionate about what she does and it comes through in her work. Furthermore, Gillian is such a sweet, kind, and outgoing person that she made everything very fun. I loved working with Gillian and would absolutely choose her again if I had to do everything all over again. I have already recommended her to everyone I know who needs a photographer and I look forward to continuing to work with her in the future.

Gillian and her assistant were fabulous!!! We were all getting ready and she took all the cool pre-photos of the dress and flowers, and it literally took no time to get through all the bride/groom, wedding party, and family pics! We felt so special when we were on the beach by ourselves with her and it was literally no time until we were back inside enjoying the party with all our family and friends! I would recommend her to ANYONE that is looking for completely comprehensive service!!!!

Gillian of Carolina Studios is talented, charismatic, passionate, and a pleasure to work with. For our engagement shoot, she thoughtfully brought chilled champagne to the beach for us to toast our new life together. From the first conversation to the last Gillian was helpful and fun. Our engagement session was a blast and the pictures turned out beautiful. On the big day Gillian was an angel armed with a camera! She bustled my dress for me and offered suggestions throughout the wedding and even helped corral the guests for cake cutting and dances. I'm so grateful my new husband picked such a great photographer. I can't wait to see how our wedding shots turned out.

We couldn't possibly think of a signle thing that we would have changed when it comes to our Wedding Day and Gillian's photography. Todd and I were introduced to Gillian during our Engagement session while we were visiting in Myrtle Beach. We fell in love with her personality. She made our engagement session truley special and gifted us with the most beautiful pictures.

We are from upstate New York so we were very dissapointed that someone as talented as Gillian was so far away and that we would have to find someone else for our Wedding. Who knew that Gillian would actually offer to come all the way out to Syracuse, NY and then drive an hour to our reception just to capture our special day.

Our wedding day brought some rain, cool weather and we ran into a few areas where we seemed to have lack of time for more photos. However, Gillian worked her magic and we have no doubt that our wedding pictures will be just as beautiful as our engagement session.

Carolina Studios is fan-freaking-tactic! Gillian is non stop during your entire wedding. If you do not get great pictures then you are just not meant to have your picture taken. Loved her vibe, enthusiasm, personality, everything. And her assistants were great also! Will recommend her for any pictures.

Dear future brides:

Picking the right photographer might be one of the most important decisions during the planning process.

I can honestly say: I can't stop watching our video or viewing our pictures that Gillian produced. My entire family is in complete awe over her incredible work. I get chills when I look at the pictures (good chills) Gillian was everywhere capturing every candid moment ... which is exactly what I wanted her to do. Nothing looked posey and we had such a great time working with her. I never thought I looked good on camera until Gillian got behind that camera. Don't even waste your time looking ... she is fun, smart and passionate about her job!

I can't wait to have babies so she can be a part of it all!

The first time I spoke with Gillian I felt like we clicked. Our first conversation was like talking to an old friend. I immediately choose her services and extremely happy about my decision. She was so accommodating and helpful from the very beginning. We did our engagement pictures in October and we received so many compliments about how wonderful the pictures came out. Due to the exceptional quality of the photos, we were able to use them on our save the dates and invitations. I highly recommend Gillian's macrophotography for upclose shots of your rings.

The day of the wedding went so smoothly. Gillian and her assistant, John, were there for me throughout the day. She helped me keep calm before the ceremony and was right there if I had a question about how to do something. She is quick and stealth, which will result in some amazing candid shots. Very patient with family members and keeps things moving!

I am hoping we can use Carolina Photo Studios services again!!!

When I started planning my wedding the first thing on my list was to find the perfect photographer, a know it was a little out of order but our wedding pictures had to be perfect! I met with a few photographers before I met with Gillian. As soon as Gillian and I met I fell in love with her work! She really is amazing; she fit my personality 100%! We combined a couple of her packages to fit what I was looking for, and she was so easy to work with. I knew I had to find someone that could work with anyone because my fiancé was not really into taking pictures and was not thrilled that I had set up an engagement session. When we talked to Gillian about the engagement session, Joe and I wanted something different and not the typical engagement posed pictures! We had so much fun and that was only just the beginning. My bridal portraits were just as wonderful! I hadn’t originally planned a bridal session but after the engagement, it was a must! I had too much fun that day with Gillian and Corey; we took pictures pretty much the whole day! Our wedding went so smoothly and I hardly even noticed Gillian and her crew! They did such a wonderful job and took a million pictures! When I got the wedding pictures back they were sensational! I was so impressed how perfect they came out. The day really does fly by and you need those pictures to remember how perfect the day went! I would highly recommend Gillian, she is wonderful with children and will make you husband laugh (which sometimes can be tough to do). I can’t wait to work with her again! Thank you to Gillian and her crew! I couldn’t be any happier that you were there to capture our beautiful day!

Make sure you express all of your ideas! This photographer is very open to new things and ideas. She is funny and makes you feel good in front of the camera. Just remember to have fun, because the best photos are the ones that show your true feelings.

Carolina Studios did an amazing job at my wedding this past May! I had a destination wedding and Gillian was extremely flexible when it came to scheduling meetings. The prices were very reasonable! I could not have asked for a more professional photographer.

Carolina studios is amazing, I choose Gillian to take our wedding photos back in 2008. The services and products she provided us with were top notch. My husband and I enjoyed working with her so much that when our son was born this past year we choose to go back to her for family photographs. She is very easy to work with and understands what you want.

Gillian will not only be your photographer, but she will become your friend. When I started looking for photographers, I wanted somebody that was easy to talk and get along with. I met with a couple others before coming across Gillian and they all seemed so cold, and asking questions and getting information out of them was like pulling teeth. The first time I called Gillian we spoke on the phone for about an hour, just like we were old friends. I knew then she was the one. We did engagement pictures, the wedding, and newborn pictures when our son was born with Gillian, and all of the pictures are just FABULOUS! You will not regret choosing her for all your photography needs. I wish I wasn't moving, because otherwise Gillian would be our photographer FOR LIFE! :)

If you are looking for a photographer in the Myrtle Beach area, Gillian is the best. She takes fabulous pictures! In addition, she was incredibly accomodating and so much fun to work with.

Gillian and her associate Michelle have been wonderful during the wedding process...from taking an afternoon full of engagement shots, capturing our wedding day and then working together to purchase items! They were so easy to talk to and made us feel very comfortable from the beginning. While walking through the streets of Charleston, S.C. for our engagement session we were amazed at how quickly we forget the cameras were there and just enjoyed ourselves. This continued on our wedding day and we were able to have some amazing candid shots due to their quick thinking and ability to "be everywhere". I would highly recommend Gillain and her studio to any bride who wishes to feel completely at ease and have 100% trust in their photographers!

Gillian is awesome. If i had to have someone follow me around for a day, she is the person. Fun, felxable and very helpful. Takes what ever shots you want and others that she knows will look great. Gillian is great photographer and doesn't impose on your big day. She's personable and takes direction very well, in addition to giving direction when needed for just the right shot.
