Our guests were wowed by having a pizza wedding!
We were very happy with Gilded Tomato’s catering for our July 2021 wedding. The owner, Julia, is passionate about her craft, very detail-oriented and communicative. Having originally scheduled our wedding for July 2020 and then postponing for a year due to the pandemic, Julia was able to work with us despite all of the uncertainty surrounding event planning and restrictions. The food served—wood-fired pizza from their beautiful oven, hummus dishes, salads and focaccia—was fantastic and our guests loved it! We are very happy that we hired Gilded Tomato and wouldn’t hesitate recommending them to anybody.We were very happy with Gilded Tomato’s catering for our July 2021 wedding. Delicious farm to table foods, beautiful presentation, sustainable products
I recently attended a 95th birthday party catered by GTC. The staff were helpful and attentive throughout the event. The food was healthy and delicious and the presentation beautiful from appetizers to deserts. I appreciated the farm to table foods as well as the sustainable products used throughout. What a wonderful group of people that really create an awesome & unique experience with food !! Very professional. Quality of food exceeds all expectations and five star service! They create a colorful display of salads, pizza and wide variety of appetizers! I definitely would suggest for your next event whether it is a wedding or back yard gathering. Julia will make sure everything is taking care so nothing to worry about. MAKES IT PERFECT!!!What a wonderful group of people that really create an awesome & unique experience with food !! Beautiful grounds and fabulous pizza!
The Gilded Tomato in Rehoboth has beautiful outdoor space. The grounds are spacious yet very intimate. The sloping landscape gives you a panoramic view, allowing you to see everyone and everything at once. I loved walking around and discovering the various seating areas while mingling with all the guests. The food is farm to table, with some items grown in their own garden. The pizzas where delicious and I loved the variety, my favorite was the classic Margherita with the fresh basil. This independent, women-owned, farm to table, mobile catering company is an absolute gem and totally worth it if you are considering! Words cannot express how simply wonderful the experience is - you must try it for yourself!
The owner, Julie, is a kind and caring, driven and passionate woman who respects every decision and accommodates whenever possible. She is joy incarnate and is very easy to plan with. It is quite obvious how dedicated she is to delivering the highest quality service and experience for each and every person present at the event.
The quality of food is always fresh and well balanced, with options ranging from omnivorous to vegetarian to vegan and even gluten-free when possible. All ingredients are seasonal, locally sourced (often from Julie's very own home farm) and are tirelessly crafted with the utmost care from equally earnest chefs and cooks from the community.
The professional enthusiasm with which the service is conducted for each event is contagious. This is a staff of individuals who truly care for and express their love for high-end cuisine.
The versatility provided by the mobile, wood-fire copper & clay ovens are a spectacle in their own right. These gleaming, polished 7,000 pound ovens are the perfect wonder to impress guests whether you are hosting a wedding, birthday party, or fundraiser. Not only do the ovens provide wonderful, tasty Neapolitan style savory pizzas, but also eligible are the sweet dessert pizza, and sometimes wood-fired appetizers!
