Gilded Bridal is an incredible boutique with beautiful options for all body types. Zan made me feel completely at ease and created such a special, memorable experience. She helped me find my dream dress and even customized it to fit my needs. She also guided me to a great alterations shop. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! -

Life IS better Gilded - the perfect bridal dress shopping experience!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience at Gilded Bridal! Susan and Makenzie were both so lovely! I worked with Susan on my first visit, and all the intimidation I felt about dress shopping before we arrived was gone within a few minutes of meeting her. She is knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and so much fun. She made the experience enjoyable and all-around wonderful! She really listens and attunes to you and tailors the experience. She paid attention to everything I said about our wedding, what I wanted, and what I did or didn't like with each particular dress I picked out to try on, and then helped me find exactly what I wanted within my budget and timeframe. I thought I wanted a specific style and shape of dress, but after starting to try on the ones I picked out, I realized what I thought I wanted wasn't hitting the mark. I'd like the bodice, but not the skirt, or I'd love the neckline, but not the shape/cut/fabric. Susan was paying close attention to everything I was saying, and brought in a dress I hadn't nor would I have picked to try, and it was PERFECT! I felt beautiful, elegant, glamorous, and comfortable, so much so that I didn't want to take it off! She figured out what type of dress I wanted before I did, and then found the one for me; she is truly exceptional at what she does!
When I came back for a second try on, ordering and measurements, Susan was out of town at the NYC Bridal Fashion Week, and she arranged for me to meet with Makenzie. Makenzie was also amazing to work with, professional, knowledgeable, so enjoyable to be around, and accommodating. Now that I had decided on the dress, she helped me order, got my measurements, and then helped to advise on different veil styles and options, and even bridesmaid dresses!
I visited other bridal shops in the area, and none of them came close to comparing to my experiences with Susan and Makenzie at Gilded Bridal. Life truly is Better Gilded! -

I had an amazing experience at Gilded Bridal. I was SO anxious about my wedding dress, and was so grateful for the calm and affirming atmosphere of Gilded. Even as I put on a white gown for the first time, their staff kept me grounded. With the help of their staff, I found the dress of my dreams -- one that made me feel confident and beautiful in my own skin. -

I am non-traditional and went to the salon to try on shapes, maybe find a gown, if they had something exquisite that highlighted the elven queen I am. The stylist was amazing and immediately knew what I was looking for. We tried on several shapes and landed on one that was amazing. The gown I tried on was so..... close... and as the stylist added pieces I could see the strong, fun, elven queen in me shining through. it was an amazing experience. we could genuinely feel the stylists excitement as all of the pieces came together. I am over the moon excited and thrilled. -

I had such a good experience here at Gilded Bridal. We walked in and were greeted and told to look around. We were early and we had no problems with this as someone else was finishing up their consultation. While looking at the dresses, at first we didn't feel like anything jumped out at us, but we were still excited. We were brought to our private room and immediately felt comfortable. It is such a nice touch after being at other studios that are all open. Our consultant came in and asked us various questions about what we liked and didn't like. She picked out a few dresses and a few surprises. She wanted us to try on things we usually would not pick, and I am so happy she did! Because of this, we found my dress. It was something that looked so different on the rack vs on and if it weren't for her expertise, we would never have but also fit what made me feel comfortable. The whole experience was good from start to finish. I am so happy to be a Gilded Bride with the help from Pamela. I am so excited to see the dress. I highly recommend booking an appointment. -

Got my wedding dress and veil! The whole experience was so nice and easy. Was able to bring in a loaner gown from a designer I wanted. They where more then happy to accommodate that for me. I ended up getting a veil from them too which I’m super excited about!! The space is beautiful, with huge private dressing room that make it feel so luxurious. Would 100% recommend!! -

I highly recommend Gilded for finding the perfect wedding dress. I was blown away by the quality of the selection. McKenzie was an INCREDIBLE consultant. She listened carefully to my preferences and had a strong grasp of the available inventory. When I was between two dresses, she found a third option that married all of my favorite parts of the two I was stuck between into the perfect dress for me. She also stayed after closing so I could swing back by to put the dress back on one last time before committing to it. I really couldn't have asked for anything more from my wedding dress shopping experience. The shop is gorgeous, the inventory is clearly very carefully and artfully curated, and the staff was so helpful and knowledgable. I'm so thrilled about every single moment of my experience at Gilded! -

So glad I found Gilded Bridal! I had a great experience throughout the entire process from selecting my dress until delivery. I really didn't know which bridal shop to visit when I first started dress shopping but then got a referral from our photographer, Chris Nieto, and was so glad I checked them out. They have a wide selection of dresses from different designers and I when I tried on the Isolde from Tara Lauren I knew it was the one! Every staff member that assisted me was very helpful and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. I ended up needing a split size with my dress (smaller size on top/larger on bottom). I appreciated the attention to detail with my measurements and sizing to in turn have less alterations that would need to be done. Gilded Bridal also has beautiful accessories and I was able to find the perfect hair piece to complement my dress. Overall I would highly recommend Gilded Bridal for the big day! -

I cannot recommended Gilded enough. I found them on Instagram a few months before getting engaged and after scrolling through I knew that I had to pay them a visit. Their messages about inclusivity really made me feel like I was in great hands, and I truly was. Susan was my stylist and she was an actual Fairy Godmother. I discussed my dress anxieties with her and she made me feel SO comfortable and reassured me that I would find a dress that I loved. And I did! The salon itself was so beautiful and the private rooms were a huge bonus, especially during COVID times. It was truly such a wonderful experience that I wish I could relive day after day. I had a wonderful experience at Gilded looking for, and ultimately finding the perfect dress. They made the experience so much fun and helped me narrow down my options and we found exactly what I had imagined for myself. They also assisted me with communicating with the designer to add buttons to the back and alter the neckline to be a more comfortable depth for me. They were so helpful and kind via email and phone regarding ordering extra lace as well for my veil. Would highly recommend!! -

I’m so grateful to the helpful staff of Gilded Bridal! I came in with some ideas about how my gown should look that I was sure couldn’t be compromised— and they definitely made sure to show me anything in the shop that may fit the bill. But, at their suggestion, I tried on one that I would have otherwise eliminated off the bat for being strapless. I can’t imagine having gotten married in any other dress. it was perfect, and I’m filled with joy every time I see a photo of it. That said, before I was absolutely sure I’d picked the one I wanted, the staff promptly answered all my (perhaps excessive) emails and wrote up two additional invoices to help me compare gown costs before I made my final decision. From beginning to end, they want the extra mile to make sure I got my dream gown. I’ve included a photo from the day I picked it out, as well as two photos taken by Java Rose Photography on the big day. Thank you, Gilded! -

Though the dresses are on the more expensive end, I definitely feel like I got what I paid for. They have the dresses and service of a super high end boutique, but the vibe and people were chill and down to earth enough for me to be totally comfortable. Also they let me and my friends go through the dresses ourselves and pick the favorites which was AMAZING considering at other places someone picked dresses for me and I didn't always feel they clearly understood what I wanted. I'm so happy with my dress and can't wait to wear it! -

I bought my wedding dress at Gilded after looking at several other shops in DC and NC. I thought Gilded had by far the best selection of designers and the service was friendly but never pushy. I had no idea what I wanted, but Susan and her staff really helped me narrow down my options and find the perfect dress for my classic, clean aesthetic. Furthermore, when the pandemic hit, Susan was very sweet and patient with me. I highly recommend! -

Susan and Mackenzie were both amazing and I had a wonderful experience finding my dream dress. On my first appointment Susan was a great listener and helped me pull a variety of dresses. I loved the way she put me at ease. It was obvious she loves what she does and I felt like she answered all my questions and also gave me plenty of time to decide what I loved and what I didn’t with each dress I tried on. I didn’t feel rushed at all and I loved the way I naturally came to the conclusion of which dress fit my personality and style best! On my second appointment I brought back my mom, grandmother, and 2 month old daughter. I was nervous to bring the baby but they assured me it would be ok. Mackenzie pulled my top two dresses so I could re-try them on for my family. From there we re-confirmed the favorite and Mackenzie helped me finalize the look with the perfect belt and hair clip. In the end I said YES to my dress and the journey to find the one was perfect! Thank you Gilded Girls for making me feel so special! -

I live in Virginia, but I found Gilded Bridal because they were hosting a trunk show for a designer I loved that did nontraditional colorful gowns. ABSOULTELY worth the trip, Susan and the rest of the Gilded Bridal team made me feel so comfortable, and fully supported the nontraditional look I was going for. I absolutely fell in love with the skirt for the designer I came for, but they also helped me pick out the perfect sample dress to pair with it for the bodice as well. They were so helpful and made sure every last detail was perfect - from getting just the right level of bust support in the top to pairing the two shades of creamy white together perfectly. I could not recommend them enough. I've already planned a one year anniversary shoot to wear my dress again, and I can't wait!! -

Can I Wear My Dress to Work? LOVE IT!!!
I am in LOVE with my wedding dress. I felt so much like myself - it made my wedding day so comfortable and special. I'm said that I can only wear it one time!
The Gilded Team is WONDERFUL - they are kind, conversational, and help you feel so comfortable. Their team helped me pick my dress, jewelry, and veil...and it was truly everything I could dream of. They communicated clearly the whole time and let me know arrival dates, so that I could be completely stress-free.
I love spending time in the Gilded store - its so gorgeous. Such an amazing experience! Will definitely recommend to any and all brides! -

Susan and everyone at Gilded Bridal are amazing and fun. They have a unique selection and great relationships with the designers they carry. I came in twice to try on dresses and when I found my dress they helped me customize it with a few adjustments from the designer. I also had a horribly embarrassing panic attack after buying my dress and emailed Susan multiple times to make sure I was going to get the right fit/shape. She handled my crazy like a champ and made me feel so much better. They really go above and beyond for their brides. Also, the seamstress they recommended was awesome. Definitely would recommend this place to any friend looking for a dress! -

I had the absolute best experience at Gilded! The space is gorgeous, chic, and relaxing all at the same time. Makenzie was so helpful, encouraging, and made trying on dresses the fun day I have always dreamed about. Makenzie even ended up pulling another dress which is the dress I ended up buying. Makenzie is amazing and Gilded is where you want to go to try on unique, romantic, chic bridal gowns. I wish I could go everyday! Lol you will not be disappointed! -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gilded-but I am going to try! The store is absolutely stunning, the dressing rooms are huge with plenty of room for everyone and they make you feel like a princess! But, hands down, the customer service is EXCEPTIONAL. Jensen immediately greeted me at the door and I truly felt like she listened to everything thing I was looking for in my dream dress and did everything she could to help me find it. Although I didn't find my dream dress that day, she took the time to write down the names of some other nearby bridal salons that she felt carried what I was looking for. I was lucky enough to work with Jenson while picking out and trying on their gowns, she is amazing! I had been to a few different bridal shops prior to Gilded Bridal, in Raleigh, Denver and NYC and had done all of those with family or bridesmaids. I had my first solo appointment at Gilded Bridal and it was honestly such a genuinely fun time. Jenson is so personable, she picked up on my style very quickly, and we had a great time trying on dresses. She is really knowledgeable and gave her honest opinion/suggestions, she offered accessories that I hadn't thought to add to the look, gave me an appropriate amount of time with each dress, and was altogether a great person to help with a decision this important. They had a great selection of dresses, the store is very spacious and clean, your personal room is really comfortable. It was altogether a great experience and I absolutely love my dress. :) -

I can't recommend Gilded Bridal highly enough! As someone who isn't a huge fan of shopping (... or wedding planning), this was THE BEST experience I could have asked for. As a first (and last!) time bride, I was incredibly nervous about my first experience with wedding dress shopping. Nervous about how I'd look, if I'd even fit in any of the dresses, if I'd find "the one" and all that jazz. Makenzie made this such an easy, fun experience. The atmosphere in Gilded is exactly as laid back and relaxed as they describe. And Makenzie was super helpful with identifying what exactly it was that I liked about a dress, what worked for my body type, and showing me similar styles I might like. I cannot begin to stress how much I loved Gilded Bridal! My appointment at Gilded was the last of the day. I had already gone to two other appointments, both of which I thought went well. I even "picked" a dress at one. Then I got to Gilded and I realized what a bridal appointment should be!
Rather than being let loose or stalked through the shop, my stylist Heather walked me through and pulled out dresses that truly fit my vision while letting me add anything that caught my eye.
The dresses are beautifully displayed and easy to go through, unlike some other shops that have them crammed together. AND they carry most in two sizes, making fitting easy! Rather than just putting the dress on me, Heather made sure to take every step to make sure it was clamped to fit as realistically as possible. Then there are the fitting rooms. The best I have ever seen! Very private and spacious with curtains for that big reveal. They really create that special atmosphere you hope for.
Every dress I put on was beautiful. unique, and "me." Heather recommended the dress that I ultimately chose for its incredible fit. I got nervous when she went in the back to finalize everything; she was gone a while. I was panicking that the dress was out of stock or something, but she had actually called the designer to get sizing recommendations based off my measurements. When it came to picking up my dress, the owner Susan really listened my vision and has been incredible at helping me accessorize to really putting the finishing touch on my look.
I cannot recommend Gilded enough, if you can't tell from this novel I just wrote, and I CANNOT WAIT to walk down the aisle in my dream dress! -

I went in to dress shopping fully expecting to not find my gown the first place I went because I am SO indecisive. I think dresses are so beautiful, but as most women are, I can be pretty critical of myself. My attendant made me and my party of 5 family members feel so welcome, and also made me so beautiful in everything I tried on. In dresses that weren’t necessarily for me, she would still compliment me but suggest maybe a different cut or to look for another dress that has XYZ. Which honestly was so helpful because I needed the direction!! I truly felt special that entire day, and that’s all you can ask for when you’re dress shopping!! -

I went to Gilded on a recommendation from my planner and from the moment I walked in, I knew this was my place. It is a beautiful showroom with rows and rows of exquisite dresses from designers around the globe. They have multiple sample sizes, which was a relief after squeezing into small samples at previous shops. I worked with Heather to try on several dresses and she was patient and gave me good advice throughout my visit. When I found the one, she stepped me through the process and was in touch to let me know the status of my dress until it arrived. When it came in, I worked with Susan to try it on and we discussed alterations and veil options. Susan gave my good recommendations for alterations for my dress and my bridesmaids dresses which I bought elsewhere (they focus on bridal gowns). I found a veil that I liked but Susan, being an expert in her field, pointed out some details I missed and recommended a veil designer that could custom match the incredible bodice beading of my dress. She was spot on and I loved the veil we created together. Shopping for your gown can be stressful with the miles of choices that you have shop after shop. The ladies at Gilded are a breath of fresh air, making you feel like dress shopping with a friend rather than just another appointment. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you Gilded! -

Hands down the best experience of my wedding planning! Susan was such a joy to work with. She is super professional, will make sure you love whatever dress you pick, and has the best system for trying on dresses so it's not a hard decision. I had an awesome experience dress shopping. I was very nervous and a little uncomfortable when I was going into everything . Jensen was very friendly and helped me feel a lot more comfortable. I am so happy that I chose Gilded Bridal- from start to finish they provided me with w great experience and excellent service. First off, the selection of gowns is incredible. I think they have something to suit every taste, but generally their gowns were unique, well made, and on trend. I found most of the bridal shops I visited to be very traditional, but Gilded Bridal had so many stunning options that looked really fresh. The shop is beautiful and their dressing rooms are well decorated, spacious, and private. Their staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful and really went above and beyond. When I was scheduled to come in for a second appointment to choose between two dresses I liked, the power in downtown Raleigh unexpectedly went out. I had driven two hours from Wilmington to be there and rather than just closing and making me drive home and back a different day, Heather lit candles and found some battery powered lights so we could have our appointment. It was probably more special and memorable than if things had gone smoothly!
Gilded stayed in communication with me as I was waiting for my dress to arrive. Since I was coming from out of town they were able to provide me with updates as it was shipping etc so I was able to schedule my pick up appointment well in advance. When my dress came in I had some issues with the fit and Susan, the owner, went wayyy above and beyond to coordinate with the designer and get my issues fixed quickly. My dress is awesome and I cannot wait to wear it for my wedding!!!
I am so thankful that I chose Gilded Bridal- my entire experience was excellent from start to finish. From their great client experience to their top notch customer service, they truly care about what they are doing. I would recommend to anyone!

We had an appointment at Gilded Bridal. When we walked in, we were immediately taken back to our room which was private so my family had a seating area inside the room and we were greeted with champagne! Sarah helped us narrow down some options before we went out to look at dresses! They have a very curated selection of beautiful, unique dresses and it isn't overwhelming. While I did not end up buying my dress from Gilded, I had such a great experience! -

Finding my dress at Gilded was such a fun, relaxing, and memorable experience! I happened to be in town for one weekend only, and I called the day before and the staff was able to get me an appointment the next morning. As it turned out, Gilded was the one and only bridal store I needed! The consultants were all amazing and I had a feeling upon walking into the store that I would find my dress--there were just so many amazing dresses to choose from! I live out of town, and Gilded was even scheduled a special time for me to come pick up my dress at a time and weekend that worked for me. They were also extremely flexible and helpful when I called (long after ordering my dress) to tell them that I had moved my wedding up three months earlier! I thought it was going to be a nightmare to get the dress in time, but Gilded assured me that there would be no problem! I couldn't have imagined a more perfect dress for my day!! -

One of the best experiences from my wedding planning!
Gilded made my dress buying experience surprisingly easy and meaningful. I’ve never been the girl to dream about my wedding. As an early 30s something professional, I felt totally out of my comfort zone. I had no real preference for any sort of specific dress. After going to another popular Raleigh shop earlier in the day and feeling like I just didn’t fit in (literally and figuratively), I wasn’t expecting to find my dress as Gilded, a gorgeous boutique for Instagram models, or so I thought! Heather was extremely down to earth, made me truly feel like the ball was in my court, and that the right dress would have to fit ME, not the other way around. This thinking just made so much sense to me and was/is inspiring and empowering, to be honest. Heather found me a beautiful dress from designer Kate McDonald and I felt like such a BOSS that day and on my wedding day! My experience with Gilded Bridal was one of the best memories from my wedding planning and really gave me a boost of confidence. I spoke to the owner when it was time to pick my dress up from the shop and she had such a passion for her business and joy for what she does for women. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GILDED BRIDAL! -

I went to Gilded last week with my mom, future mother-in-law, and a close friend. First, the shop is BEAUTIFUL. Seriously gorgeous. Second, they were so easy to work with and helpful. I never felt pressured, Heather gave me her honest opinions and helped me make decisions, and she was always so patient and kind. We made our decision within an HOUR. Does it get easier than that?
When I had a question the next day about one feature of my dress, Heather responded immediately, talked through the choice over the phone with me, and updated my dress order to reflect the change. I cannot imagine an easier, more enjoyable process, and I am in love with the dress I found! -

Gilded Bridal was amazing. I can't recommend them highly enough. I was welcomed warmly by Heather and settled into a lovely fitting room. We were offered something to drink and she explained the whole process. It was my first time trying on wedding dresses since I'm newly engaged and Heather made me feel completely at ease. I never worried about being larger than the sample sizes and Heather always explained how the dress would look in the proper size. I left with a clear favorite dress, and they took my measurements in case I decided to buy the dress since I was only in town over the weekend. They made me feel special and were so helpful when it came to talking about customizations to the dress I loved (the first one I tried on!).
However, it was what happened after I left that ultimately made me into a #gildedbride. I tried on dresses at two other places, and I found another dress that I also really liked - but I was pretty sure I wanted the first dress because I couldn't get it out of my mind, so at 5:30, with only 30 minutes until Gilded closed, on a Saturday no less, I called to see if I could possibly come back just to try the dress on again since I was leaving Raleigh and wouldn't be back until December and needed to order a dress soon. Susan, the owner, answered and told me to come on by and they would make it work.
When I got to the store, at 5:45pm, both Heather and Susan greeted me with smiles and waves, before Heather had to pop back into her appointment. Susan grabbed my dress and took us back to a room. I had a few questions about the customizations and Susan sat down with my mother and I and talked through all the options and looked at pics of other gowns I had tried with me, and ultimately was able to answer all my questions and make me feel comfortable about ordering a dress that I couldn't return with customizations I couldn't see. When I put the dress on again, I knew it was the one, and even though it was past their closing time, she talked through veil options and so many other things, like grabbing me a hair clip so I could see what my hair would look like pinned how I want it on my wedding day.
Susan even took time to talk through sizing options because I fall between two sizes and the alterations process. This was really helpful because I work out with a personal trainer consistently and am a bit worried about changes in my figure in the six months I have until my wedding.
I couldn't have imagined a better experience than the one I had at Gilded Bridal and I can't recommend them highly enough. I'm proud and honored to be a #gildedbride. -

I first heard about Gilded at a bridal event I went to and they had models there wearing beautiful gowns! When looking for a place in Raleigh this was one of the top choices, and it did not disappoint!! My bridal attendant was INCREDIBLE! She picked dresses out that she thought would be a good fit for me and respected my budget. She had honest and constructive comments that gave me direction, which I needed since it was my first time trying on dresses! She also made me feel beautiful and that she really cared about me. I did not feel pressured to buy the dress on the spot, and she said I could sleep on it. That just put me at ease and I knew this was the place to get my dress from. I found my perfect dress, and had such a perfect experience! Added bonus? My group of 6 was allowed to come when most places only allow 2-3 others AND we got champagne. Couldn’t have asked for anything more! Thank you Gilded!!! -

Even though I was not looking for a dress they still treated me as a high importance client, which was not the case in another salon, and made the experience special. I was able to bring my dress to try it on with the veil and from ordering to pickup it only took 2 weeks! Their salon is stunning as well, couldn't recommend them more! -

Kara Sent on 02/20/2018I am a very indecisive, obsessive individual, which made the dress shopping experience a very stressful one. Gilded Bridal was the first bridal boutique I visited, and it was amazing from the second I stepped foot in the door. Susan took the time to get to know me, my style, and was very patient as I thought long and hard about each gown I tried on. I ended up not purchasing a gown at my first appointment, but after visiting 4 more boutiques, I found myself back at Gilded (in my opinion, they have the best dress selection in Raleigh!). Heather helped me during my second appointment and was equally as incredible and helpful. During the appointment, I was stressed, overwhelmed, and quite frankly didn't think I would ever find THE dress. Thanks to her patience, attention to detail, and just general bridal fashion knowledge, we were able to create a custom gown from one of the more customizable designers they carry in store. Without a doubt, I would not have found my dress without the ladies of Gilded Bridal. They made me feel comfortable, eased my stress, and went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend them to all brides! -

I loved my experience at Gilded. I was worried about how it would be because I’m plus-size, but my consultant (Heather, I think?) made me feel SO comfortable, relaxed, and special. She even looked at my Pinterest before I arrived and started off by showing me some dresses she thought I would like (and I did!). I found a dress I loved but wanted to show my mom, and I was able to come back the next day. The consultant was so patient with us. The atmosphere in there is amazing too. I ended up buying a dress somewhere else because of cost, but if you have a budget over $2,000, this is the place to go. Seriously. -
