Not only are they always extremely prepared, set up early, and moving with ease on the day of the event; they are also incredibly accommodating and genuinely kind. I always look forward to my time at G-ville. Their professionalism and consistency is something we can all aspire to within this bustling industry. -

As a bridal hair and makeup artist, I’ve worked at a lot of venues, and this one truly stands out. From the moment we arrived, everything was so seamless and accommodating for both the bridal party and vendors. The getting-ready space was absolutely perfect for a large bridal party — spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed so everyone could relax and enjoy the morning without feeling crowded.
One thing I especially appreciated as a hair and makeup artist was the abundance of large windows and natural light throughout the space. It made such a difference for makeup application, hairstyling, and photos, and created such a beautiful atmosphere to work in.
A huge shoutout to Brandon, the event director, who was incredible to work with. He was extremely responsive throughout the day, easy to communicate with, and went above and beyond to make sure our team had enough table space and everything we needed to work efficiently. Having a coordinator who genuinely supports the vendors makes such a difference, and Brandon absolutely did that.
Working here was such a positive experience from start to finish, and I truly look forward to being back. I would absolutely recommend this venue to any future brides looking for a beautiful, organized, and vendor-friendly place to spend their wedding day! -

We had the best wedding weekend ever at Gilbertsville Farmhouse and highly recommend you book this venue! Brandon and the Gilbertsville team made the entire process incredibly smooth and all of our family and friends had the absolute nicest things to say about the weekend!
- Onsite: It was so great to have a place that was 100% dedicated to our wedding and our guests. Our goal for the weekend was to maximize spending time together and Gilbertsville was the perfect venue for that! The check-in process for all of our onsite guests was easy and everyone raved about their rooms (both the cabins and the house). It was so enjoyable to have everyone arrive early on Friday to have informal time to say hello and explore the property. We can’t tell you how many of our friends told us how fun it was to sleep onsite with all of the other guests, including the nightcap bonfires on Fri and Sat nights. Also the homemade focaccia for lunch on Friday is worth its own shoutout!
- Rehearsal Dinner: We had our rehearsal dinner outside behind the barn which was such a beautiful location. We had the BBQ dinner which everyone loved (we’re still dreaming about the ribs). It was the perfect balance of everyone walking around saying hello but also having tables to sit and eat. Gilbertsville also allowed us to have live music play at the rehearsal dinner.
- Ceremony: Our ceremony was on the hilltop and the view was spectacular. Everyone said just having the ceremony in that setting made them understand why we wanted to have our wedding in Western NY. Brandon and the team made the logistics of the ceremony very smooth.
- Cocktail Hour: We had our cocktail hour in the Milking Parlour. Everyone enjoyed the unique setting and the hors d'voures and charcuterie board were great. The team also helped us set up a beautiful memory table for our lost loved ones. Our seating chart also came in the mail broken - Brandon and the team somehow figured out a way to make it look perfect using other props! (one of many examples of their attention to detail)
- Reception: The renovated barn was such a perfect place to have our party. We picked the long tables, which looked gorgeous and allowed us to have a large dancefloor. Everyone loved the family style dinner, which allowed everyone to try everything! We picked the salmon and chicken for main entrees. We also really enjoyed being able to have both inside and outside areas for people to party. We had forgotten a few namecards and Brandon was able to print them out on cardstock for us (every potential headache was mitigated by Brandon).
- Gilbertsville Team: Brandon is an absolute rockstar and made the planning process and wedding weekend incredibly smooth. Every person on the team was helpful - it’s worth also shouting out Katie who went above and beyond to take care of us and our guests. Thank you to Sharon and the entire team!

I had the absolute joy of creating content for Victoria and Dakota’s wedding weekend at Gilbertsville Farmhouse, and the experience was one I will never forget. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this is not just a wedding venue, it is a place filled with heart and intention.
The property itself is breathtaking. Not just the views from the property, but beautifully designed spaces that balance rustic charm with elevated elegance. Everywhere you turn feels like it was made for love stories, and it created the perfect backdrop for Victoria and Dakota’s celebration.
What made the weekend truly special was the atmosphere. The team at Gilbertsville takes care of everyone involved, not only the couple and their guests but also the vendors. That care fosters a sense of collaboration and togetherness, and you could feel it throughout the entire weekend. Everyone worked seamlessly as a team, which made it possible to bring every detail of the celebration to life in the most meaningful way.

Our wedding weekend here was nothing short of perfect, and we owe so much of that to this incredible venue and their team. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely taken care of—stress-free, smiling ear to ear, and overwhelmingly grateful for the people making it all possible. Every detail was handled with such care—from coordination and organization to thoughtful touches throughout the weekend.
The setting itself is stunning—the views left our guests in awe—and the food was absolutely fantastic. Having the chance to celebrate with our loved ones over an entire weekend, instead of just a few hours, was truly priceless. Goat yoga ended up being one of the most talked-about events, and our guests are still raving about it.
The staff deserves the highest praise. Brandon, Katie, John, and Shelby went above and beyond to make us and our families feel welcome and supported. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the entire experience seamless. Their list of trusted vendors also made planning so much easier, and we truly couldn’t have imagined a better fit for our celebration. Their help through the planning process was instrumental in planning a wedding weekend in just 5 months!!
Our guests are still asking how we found such a magical place, and the truth is—we feel incredibly lucky. We are endlessly grateful to the entire team for making our wedding not just smooth, but truly the best weekend of our lives. Incredible Wedding Weekend!
One of my favorite things in the world is driving through Upstate New York—the twinkling Edison lights, the charming farmhouses, the peaceful, wide-open skies. That’s exactly why my husband chose Gilbertsville Farmhouse as our wedding venue, and it was the most perfect decision we could have made.
From the moment we arrived, it felt like a dream. The Friday night outdoor welcome dinner was both delicious and plentiful, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Catskill Mountains. Farm animals and baby goats wandered nearby, adding to the warm, homey feeling of the venue that immediately puts you at ease. There was luxurious furniture and lawn games set up so everyone had plenty to do and it was an easy way to visit with all of our guests. After dinner we went back to the Glamping Village and had a roaring fire complete with Jiffy Pop Popcorn and S'mores!
Saturday morning started with breakfast in the Hayloft—beautiful velvet chairs, relaxed vibes, and great food. It was the perfect start to an unforgettable day. Saturday was a bit gray and misty, but that didn't stop our guests from going on boats in the lake, reading in the hammock park, sitting on chaise lounges on the beach, or just taking an easy hike.
Our ceremony took place in the Milking Parlor, and it was absolutely stunning. All of our family and friends were seated on plush velvet banquettes beneath glowing hanging lights, creating the most intimate and romantic setting as we walked down the aisle. The reception was held in the Chandelier Barn—an open-air space filled with gorgeous chandeliers that gave it an elegant, magical feel. Dinner was served family style, which not only showcased the unbelievable food but also added to the warm, communal charm that made our wedding feel so personal and inviting.
And then came the real magic: Brandon Woodcock, our weekend event director who wears many hats, who truly made the entire experience what it was. His attention to detail is second to none—he made everything feel like we were getting married in a grand castle rather than a farm. Brandon somehow knew exactly what we wanted, even before we did, and handled every detail with kindness, professionalism, and absolute calm. I have to say that nothing was missed and we always felt comfortable, cared for, and had the time of our lives. Planning from Florida could have been overwhelming, but with Brandon’s help, it was smooth and stress-free. Brandon creates for each couple their own personalized spreadsheet. You would be amazed at the organization and attention to detail that he puts into each one. He makes everything so easy with reminders and to do lists and what to expect. He leaves no stone unturned. Because I was planning our wedding while in Florida, I had no idea which vendors to use. He recommended my florist, photographer, baker, hair and makeup stylist, and music. Each one knocked it out of the park and they all worked so well together. He even surprised us with an ice cream cart at the reception—something I didn’t even know was part of the plan! By the end of the weekend, he felt like my new best friend that was hard to say goodbye to. Brandon adds so much to what makes Gilbertsville Farmhouse so amazing. The good news is that we can come back every year for their Couple's Retreat!
Working alongside Brandon is Katie, who is a true powerhouse. She’s vibrant, funny, and runs the weekend with Brandon like a total pro. Katie anticipated every need before we could ask, making sure everything was exactly how it should be! Working alongside Katie is Jonmarick. He is just terrific and does a lot of the heavy lifting! Driving all of the guests to and from, carrying luggage, and generally being an extra set of hands (strong hands!) to Katie. Katie and Jonmarick are also a huge part of what makes Gilbertsville feel so special.
During the wedding itself, everything was flawless. The cocktail hour featured hot pass-arounds, gorgeous food boards, and bartenders and servers who were friendly and on point—special shoutout to Shelby, who was absolutely fantastic! You can see her touch in every detail.I walked around in complete awe at how stunning everything was—I couldn’t believe this was my wedding.
The glamping tents were like something out of a five-star resort—luxurious, cozy, and beautifully decorated. And little touches like the vintage record collection in the farmhouse added a nostalgic charm that made the weekend feel truly personal.
Gilbertsville Farmhouse doesn’t just host weddings—they create unforgettable weekend experiences that blend luxury, nature, and heartfelt hospitality. It’s like a sleepaway camp all grown up, with every bell and whistle you could imagine. Sharon and Aldo Boustani have created an unbelievable wedding venue. They truly make dreams come true! Thank you Gilbertsville, we will be back! -

Gilbertsville Farmhouse is truly a unique venue where you can share an all-inclusive resort experience with your guests. I can't say enough wonderful things about this venue!
The property is stunning, the staff is amazing to work with, and the attention to detail is undeniable!
We have been wedding vendors for over 20 years and can say with complete confidence that you are in great hands with Sharon, Aldo, Brandon, and the entire GF team!
The communication was always clear and responsive, leading up to a seamless experience on the event day.
If you are animal lovers, like us, you will fall in love with the alpacas, baby goats, donkeys, and many more furry friends that freely roam the property!
This is a dream venue and we highly, HIGHLY recommend Gilbertsville Farmhouse! -

Dream Wedding with Unparalleled Team
I don’t even know where to begin. There are not enough positive words in existence to accurately describe our experience with Gilbertsville Farmhouse - if you are on the fence, do yourself a favor and DO IT.
From the moment we stepped onto the property at Gilbertsville, we knew we had found something very, very special. We were searching for a venue that was beautiful and grounded in nature, unique yet also elevated, refined and luxurious; we also envisioned our wedding as a full weekend experience, not just a series of events strewn together. From the outset, Gilbertsville promised us the “best wedding ever”…and they delivered.
It was clear from our initial tour that weddings at Gilbertsville are bespoke and customized. Indeed, they worked with us on every single detail we asked for, without the silly restrictive rules that so many other venues seem to impose…we particularly loved that there was no curfew for any of the events ;) We felt that other venues gave off a “wedding factory” vibe - in other words, they were a rotating door of weddings, where one event was pushed out to make way for the next, and where each wedding was largely the same and had to operate within a certain set of parameters. But with Gilberstville, it was the exact opposite; we felt special, cared for and catered to - no matter our request, they made it happen - it’s a family-run operation (shout out to the Sharon and the Boutsiani crew!), and we 100% felt like part of their family. Their complete attention was given to us, ensuring we were happy and excited about every choice and every step of the planning process.
As a bride with enormous attention to detail (both a blessing and a curse!) I can say whole-heartedly that the team at Gilbertsville went absolutely above and beyond, delivering on every promise with enthusiasm and care. Gilbertsville is one of the best run operations I’ve ever seen (and I have been in quite a few weddings…) - from the major events during the weekend, to details as small as making sure there was enough air in the basketball for a pickup game, I simply do not have the words to describe the level to which every. single. detail. was taken care of. Knowing I didn’t have to worry about my guests’ comfort (or really anything for that matter) gave me a level of calm and confidence on wedding day that I will always be grateful for.
A special shout-out goes to Brandon, our phenomenal on-site coordinator - the very definition of a superstar. He was the heartbeat of our day, which is the only way to emphasize how absolutely pivotal he was to the success of our wedding. He was single-handedly the biggest asset to us throughout the whole process. He anticipated every need, orchestrated each detail, and ran the wedding with impeccable skill… and grace. I felt like our wedding was in the most capable of hands with him, and having someone so skilled and capable on our team allowed us to immerse ourselves completely in the weekend. I truly do not have the words, but I wish I did!! He’s worth his weight in gold. Thank you Brandon. And of course a shout out to Katie who was likewise instrumental to our weekend, and had such a handle on the venue; again, I do not know what we would have done without her. And the rest of the staff as well - from the cleaners to the waitstaff - they were all SO friendly and accommodating… to the point where several of our guests made friends with them! Truly Gilberstville Farmhouse has put together the most, elite, exceptional team I cannot emphasize this enough!!!!!
And then there was the food—AMAZING. We’re very much foodies from NYC (read: kinda snobby and with high expectations), and we were worried we wouldn’t find a venue so far upstate that met our standards. Wrong. Again, Gilbertsville delivered and exceeded all expectations. Every dish was incredible and beautifully presented. ALSO, we received countless compliments from guests with food restrictions (ranging from gluten-free to vegan and vegetarian (including my vegetarian parents)) who were all blown away by the attention to detail. Each person’s meal was personally labelled to accommodate their specific need and mind you, this wasn’t just for the reception - this was throughout the entire weekend: the arrival day lunch, rehearsal dinner, breakfast, wedding reception, and sunday brunch. There must have been 50+ personalized meals that the Gilbertsville kitchen seamlessly delivered throughout the weekend, and we received so many compliments from people that usually have a difficult time with their restrictions. Like I said, every single detail was meticulous and exact.
When all was said and done, our guests raved about the entire wedding, including the glamping accommodations which were amazing, comfortable and clean. The whole wedding was such a unique experience - from bonfires under the stars to glamping, I feel like our wedding left an impression on everyone who attended.
I could go on and on and on and I am certainly missing about a million things in this review, but at the end of the day, we couldn’t have been happier and would pick Gilbertsville Farmhouse a million times over. Gilbertsville isn’t just a venue - it’s an experience, and a family. If you’re looking for a memorable, elevated wedding that is uniquely yours, look no further. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the Gilbertsville team - we are endlessly grateful. -

BEST. VENUE. EVER. Do you want to take in breathtaking mountain views, traipse through lush forests, sleep in a luxurious safari glamping tent, wake up to a warm sunrise, go for a cool swim in the pond, hang out with adorable animals, enjoy phenomenal food, and have a 3-day extravaganza with all of your favorite people, centered around getting married to the love of your life?! You need to book GF!!! My husband and I had so much fun during our own wedding weekend that sometimes we feel like it was a dream!
Professionalism and Service: Outstanding. GF has cultivated a team of professionals to make your event run SEAMLESSLY (i.e. including a wedding coordinator to help plan and manage our entire weekend, providing transportation via golf carts as needed, refilling drink coolers, lighting bonfires, enabling yours/their music via on site speakers, having rain plans in place, etc). We could not be more grateful to Brandon (our planner and weekend event manager) – he is such a friendly, meticulously organized, and hardworking individual. WE LOVE BRANDON! We had *complete peace of mind* during the planning process, including assistance selecting local vendors. By the time the wedding rolled around, we just had to show up and have fun!
Communication: Excellent. Scheduled Zoom calls enabled us to feel super relaxed. Our coordinator anticipated everything we would need before and during the weekend, and did the final communication with all of the other vendors (i.e. band, florist, makeup and hair artists, etc.) which is so critical for a smooth and stress-free event.
Food: Our guests could NOT stop talking about the food! Everyone LOVED the food, including us! Rehearsal dinner, breakfast, lunch, welcome hour, reception, and snacks throughout were all absolutely top notch, unique and delicious. Also, it was extremely impressive how well our guests’ dietary restrictions were accommodated for! My vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free guests all absolutely loved the food. Phenomenal attention to detail. Truly above and beyond service.
Value: Swimming in the pond, goat yoga, lawn games, bonfires, breathtaking upstate NY mountain views, elegant and lavish amenities – it was like a glorious, romantic, rustic chic vacation with all of our favorite people! The luxurious glamping safari tents are GORGEOUS and the farmhouse was perfect for older guests. The outdoor furniture, sound system, golf cart transportation (included), barn full of animals, activities, snacks and drink coolers made for an incredibly fun party weekend! In general, the wedding industry nowadays is outrageously expensive, however we truly have zero regrets booking with GF as we felt that the 3-day experience was well worth the cost.
Other thoughts: The venue allows up to 200 guests with 62 on site. We decided to have our bridal party and close friends for the on-site group, and extended family at hotels 20 minutes away by shuttle/car. This worked out well. Options exist for off site guests to come for a welcome bonfire the night before if they’re in town early. Arrangements can be made for various size rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, etc based on what you want to do, which is nice flexibility. Also, the farm animals were such a highlight for us and our guests! There’s a barn and some wander on site, so unique and fun! -

Gilbertsville Farmhouse in South New Berlin, NY, is a stunning venue, and we had an incredible time celebrating Jenna and Vik's Indian Fusion Wedding there. The venue accommodated all our DJ needs, both big and small, making our experience seamless. A huge shoutout to Brandon Woodcock, the Wedding Planner, Event Director, and Assistant GM on-site, who did an absolutely phenomenal job ensuring everything went off without a hitch. The property is absolutely stunning, with diverse locations for each event, making the entire weekend feel fresh and unique. Everything was seamless and perfectly organized, thanks to their incredible team.
While the property is gorgeous, it was the staff who truly made our weekend unforgettable. Every team member was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone had an amazing time. One of the highlights of the weekend was the food. Leading up to the event, some guests asked if they should bring snacks—absolutely not! The kitchen consistently delivered some of the best food we've ever had. Without question, it was the best wedding food I’ve ever tasted, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it.
I also need to shout out Brandon, the wedding planner. Brandon is simply the best in the business. His attention to detail, organization, and genuine care made the entire process stress-free. He helped bring every element of our vision to life while offering thoughtful suggestions to make the weekend even better.
Our wedding was truly a dream come true, and I wouldn’t change a single thing about it. I cannot recommend this venue, their staff, and food enough! -

Five Stars doesn't even cover the service, experience, food, and friendliness that GFH provides. The grounds and venue alone is absolutely stunning and breathtaking. Everywhere you look is a beautiful view and something different to do. However, when coupled with the staff and service provided, you might as well look no further. All weekend long their staff was on top of everything and always so willing to help whenever needed. They provided a stress free atmosphere for all guests and most importantly the bride and groom.
In addition to the already amazing venue and staff, was the incredible food they prepared all weekend long. Not only was the reception dinner a complete 10/10, but the rehearsal dinner, breakfast, and late night snacks were to die for as well. They put such care and attention to detail into every meal and every individual no matter what your dietary restrictions are.
We had multiple guests come up to us to share that this was the best wedding and venue they've ever been to. This is the place to be and you won't regret your decision to spend the most magical day of your life at this fantastic venue. -

We didn't realize we had a dream wedding venue until we found Gilbertsville Farmhouse. This is THE place!!!
We didn’t realize we had a dream wedding venue until we found Gilbertsville Farmhouse. GF was the first and ONLY venue that my now husband and I toured, and we couldn’t be happier about the decision to get married here. From the second we stepped foot on the property, we knew we had found somewhere incredibly special. Our wedding was 9/21/24 and perfect does not even begin to describe the experience we had. Every single person (from the amazing owner Sharon, to the incredible Wedding Planner/Event Director/General Manager Brandon, to the fantastic Lead Guest Attendant Katie, down to every single wait staff and attendant on site) treated us like royalty throughout the entire process & really made our vision come to life. It’s hard to articulate how much attention to detail goes into every aspect of what they do. I honestly don’t know how people plan weddings without GF!
The food was AMAZING! We were able to attend a tasting a few months into the planning process & were blown away with everything. GF will make sure to cater to all guests that have any dietary/allergy restrictions or preferences. The wait staff/bartenders were all so kind & excited to be there. You can truly feel that they all love what they do. The Friday welcome lunch & rehearsal dinner were both flawless. Our reception dinner on Saturday featured the most delicious sea bass (which got the stamp of approval from my father – a lifelong fisherman w/ high standards!), melt-in-your-mouth fillet mignon & the juiciest duck breast you could ever imagine. All of the meals are served family-style or buffet, so you & your guests never have to choose – you can try everything! Everything is made fresh & on-site daily. Brandon also personally made sure we were eating well the entire weekend – something brides & grooms sometimes lose sight of!
The on-site accommodations are something out of a fairytale that had everyone raving the entire weekend. The sweetheart tent made us feel like we were the King/Queen of the land & became a central hub for amazing memories shared all weekend. The glamping village had cozy bonfires each night which provided a fun place to wind down each evening. The Farmhouse Inn was perfect for all our family members to gather & relax – especially my grandparents in their late 80s. They were taken care of & prioritized the entire weekend, something that was very important to us. There are so many different places on-site for you & your guests to interact & have fun. From the pond/beach hang outs, to the hammock park, & all of the places in between – there is no shortage of fun to be had. The goat yoga session on Friday was a major highlight for us & our guests! We loved seeing our guests interact with all the animals on site ALL weekend. It is really a unique & one-of-a-kind experience if you are looking for that “wow factor”. The Hilltop Cathedral was stunning once everything was set up – the view alone was enough to convince us this is THE spot! The Chandelier Barn was spectacular & better than I could have ever imagined! We had absolutely ZERO complaints the entire weekend! The amount of people that have reached out to tell us our wedding was the best wedding they’ve ever been to should be a testament to how hard the GF team works & how much they care about every step of the process.
From start to finish, the entire GF team was well organized, professional, accommodating and there for you for whatever you could possibly need. Brandon is truly incredible at what he does – we are so thankful for him and his expertise, guidance, checklists, timelines, encouragement, advice, support, and communication throughout the entire process. Katie was so attentive & made the experience so enjoyable for every single person that interacted with her. GF allows you to be present the entire weekend & immerse yourself in the magic. For anyone considering having your wedding here, you will NOT regret it! We are so thankful for Sharon, Brandon, Katie, & the entire GF team. We can’t wait to come back for a retreat! As an avid review-reader myself, I’m aware that every newlywed couple will always praise their venue/vendors of choice (whether or not it's justified). Karen and I have also been to many of our peers’ weddings, and since ours, we have had the guilty pleasure of comparing the pros and cons of other venues compared to Gilbertsville Farmhouse. This review will be focused on what makes GFH outstanding compared to other venues and extremely well-deserving of all its praise.
The Pros:
1. The Venue.
The moment you step onto the farm you’ll see how breath-takingly beautiful the entire venue is. The stand-out features like the gazebo on the lake, LOVE sign on the edge of the lake, glamping suites, goat pens etc. are already listed on the website; but what’s not shown is how each individual area feels like its own intimate microbiome that is woven seamlessly into the grander space to create a magical experience. Throughout our reception, I was able to walk from the glamorous, festive, high-ceilinged Chandelier Barn to the rustic, cozy, low ceiling Milking Parlor, and then right outside to a quiet moonlit night at the Private Beach in less than a minute. The venue is extremely walkable and every space feels both secluded and accessible. You and your guests will not be bored – in addition to the barn and lake, there are plenty of activities and areas to explore and enjoy. You’ll feel like there is a hidden gem behind every corner waiting to be found.
It also cannot be overstated how important it was to have the entire venue consist only of you and your guests. I’m convinced that the most important part of any wedding is the time spent with your loved ones and the experiences you’ll share. Of any other venue I’ve been to, GFH offers - by far – the most amount of time and space for memories to be made with those you care about the most.
2. The Food
Not only was the food delicious, but the kitchen staff’s accommodation and attentiveness to our preferences needs to be mentioned. During our initial tasting months prior to the wedding, Karen mentioned she liked spicy food. During our reception dinner, Chef Marcie created a hot sauce specifically for her and served it to us. Similarly, during the dinner, I off-handedly mentioned to our server that I liked the lotus chip that was prepared on top of other dishes as garnish. Less than 5 minutes later, Chef Dakota sent an entire bowl full of lotus chips to our table. The kitchen team went above and beyond, and our guests to this day are still complimenting the food and service.
3. The Onsite Staff
In addition to the aforementioned kitchen staff, Katie and her team were incredibly friendly, punctual, and attentive. You and your guests will have access to walkie-talkies and help is never more than 30 seconds away. Not only will Katie or a member of the staff courteously and promptly assist with whatever is required, they will also anticipate your needs and will prepare in advance before they are requested.
A huge thanks to the entire team at GFH for their professional excellence and for creating an atmosphere of hospitality and warmth and ensuring that we and all of our guests were taken care of.
4. Brandon
Brandon deserves his own review and should be included as an extra tab on the website. He coordinated the master spreadsheet containing literally everything that needed to be completed/signed/actioned and kept us accountable to the timeline. Instead of simply telling us what we needed to do, he presented us with options and suggestions. He also scheduled calls, and made sure we got in touch with multiple vendors. I wish I could give a more detailed review on this but because of his assistance, I now have a naïve view of how much work actually goes into planning a wedding, let alone the entire 3-day weekend. If planning the event was like writing a 200-page dissertation, Brandon made it so that all I had to do was complete a multiple-choice coloring book - and with that information, he was able to churn out a PhD in my name.
Similarly, during the wedding weekend, Brandon coordinated all of the vendors - catering, floral, DJ, photography etc. so that everything went exactly as planned. I only had to worry about my specific responsibilities during the wedding (such as writing my vows and nailing the first dance). So now, I can only imagine the logistical nightmare it was to arrange all the different vendors as well as herding all 150 guests to where they needed to be exactly when they needed to be there.
During our wedding, it was forecasted to rain Saturday afternoon – and Karen and I really wanted our ceremony to be outdoors, so Brandon made contingencies for every case you can think of. If it rains and we decide to stay outdoors, he will provide umbrellas. If we decide to move the ceremony indoors, he will move the arbor and pews to the Milking Parlor. If we decide to have the ceremony outside and then move people indoors, he will prepare both locations to accommodate us.
When it was time for the ceremony, it did not rain. But just like all of the other things that went right during the wedding, I’m sure Brandon was somehow responsible for that too.
In hindsight while writing this review - I’m starting to think that Brandon should have been at that hilltop and I, instead, in that white dress.
The Cons:
1. As mentioned earlier; after experiencing a wedding here, we went to weddings at other venues and realized how they do not compare to what we had at Gilbertsville Farmhouse. As the groom, my friends now dislike me for setting the bar too high. Karen’s friends are tired of hearing us beg them to have their wedding there because we want to experience the venue as guests.
2. Thinking about divorcing my wife just so we can get married here again. -

BEST WEEKEND WEDDING VENUE EVER!!!
Not only is the venue so stunningly gorgeous, the team at GF was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. At our very first meeting, everyone we spoke to was very organized and professional, breaking down different options, explaining the reasoning behind how each service is prices, etc. which was all extremely helpful. This was the first venue we visited on our list, we ended up canceling all our other venue visits once we saw the space and met with the team - we just fell in love with it immediately and knew we had to have our wedding here! Our guests were equally as impressed with all of the spaces, you can tell how much thought Sharon puts into the design of every inch of the venue! From the glamping tents to the farmhouse suite, to the hayloft and more - everything is so elegant and rustic. Us and our guests also LOVED getting to do the goat yoga and hang out with all the animals all weekend!
THE FOOD - we can’t even describe how amazing and high-quality every single meal was throughout the entire weekend. This was probably the aspect of our wedding we got complimented on the most. When we went to our tasting, we got to try the menu options we picked out, and we had zero notes or edits for them to make. Chef Dakota and his team are truly talented professionals! Our guests all agreed, everything tasted amazing!
The catering staff was so next level, we also got so many compliments on how amazing they were. The GF staff accommodated every single person with a dietary restriction and made sure they were all taken care of. The family-style serving went so smoothly as the staff operated like a well-oiled machine. We barely even had to go up to the bar, as the bartending staff was so attentive, they noticed when our drinks were getting low from across the room and seemed to appear out of thin air with a fresh one for us as soon as ours were empty! Some of them even joined us on the dance floor which was so much fun!
We have to give a huge shoutout to Brandon, the Event Director & Assistant General Manager. We were so impressed with how easy he and his team made the wedding planning process for us. He provided us with checklists, timelines, a list of local vendors, and so much more. We barely had to do any coordinating with our vendors, as Brandon made sure he was in communication with all of them as well. He was available for any support, advice, or assistance with coordinating at any time throughout the planning process, which we so appreciated. Any stress that we were having, Brandon helped us through it and problem-solved everything that he could. He was truly committed to making sure we could stay present with our guests during the entire weekend, and not worry about the details.
During the actual wedding weekend, we were SO lucky to have him and Katie, the lead guest attendant, as our right hand people. Katie was so attentive to our guests, and for that we are so so appreciative. We had some elderly/sick guests that they all pitched in to help make them comfortable, and it truly meant the world to our family. The day before the wedding weekend began, we gave Brandon a document explaining how we wanted everything to look, and how we wanted everything to go. All we had to do was drop off our stuff, and the team took it from there. We didn’t have to think about it at all for the rest of the weekend, there was NO stress once we got there! We’ll never forget walking into the chandelier barn for the first time all decorated (you get to do a reception space first look which is cool), and having our jaws hit the floor! I had been dreaming up the vision of what the space would look like for months and months, but actually seeing what an incredible job they did making it happen was priceless!
The team at Gilbertsville Farmhouse is truly the best of the best and put so much effort into making sure we had the wedding of our dreams. We are so eternally grateful for them, and we hope to make it back there at some point for one of their events or retreats! -

Best weekend ever!
Choosing Gilbertsville farmhouse as the venue for our July 6, 2024 wedding was easily the best decision we could have possible made.
My husband attended a family friend’s wedding at GF back in 2018. They shared so many stories and memories about the weekend spent on the farm. After getting engaged in June of 2023 and beginning the search for venues, I ~*stubbornly*~ tried my hardest to find something “new” and different, but something kept bringing us back to GF and we ultimately ended up booking the venue without even seeing it in person (me at least).
From the moment we booked, Brandon took complete and total care of us. Having worked in event management for years I have always struggled with letting go of control, but Brandon made it simple. My husband and I trusted Brandon from the start as he immediately reminded us of one of our hometown friends. We genuinely looked forward to our zoom meetings with him, our in person food tasting, and all of the In between conversations that went into planning the best weekend of our lives.
Truthfully thats what our wedding weekend was to us, The best weekend ever. A few highlights that I need to note, because these type of things just don’t happen at other venues - 1) our food allergy friends had rave reviews about the attentive care that went in to providing them with food all weekend, 2) Brandon took the time to make my younger sister, who was terribly nervous about giving a speech, feel at ease, and comfortable 3) During photos all my husband and I were talking about was how excited we were for a cocktail -a tequila and lemonade- Katie drove the golf cart all the way down to the farmhouse to fix us up two tequila lemonades for us while we finished our photos.
I could go on and on but these were a few “wow” moments, that makes this venue elite. Above and beyond is an understatement, the staff at Gilbertsville is flawless and, Brandon Katie John Shelby and the ENTIRE team is legendary. Thank you Brandon and Gilbertsville for the best weekend of our lives! -

Unique experiences (animals, swimming, smores and bonfires, unique and beautiful spaces throughout the venue, and lots of quality time with our guests)
We LOVED our wedding weekend at Gilbertsville and are so grateful for the amazing staff who made it all happen.
EXCEPTIONAL ORGANIZATION. From contract signing, we were introduced to Brandon (your onsite planner, event director, and assistant GM for the venue) who organized EVERY DETAIL of our wedding in the 10 months leading up to the weekend. He made planning 3 days worth of events as easy as they could be – stage-gating when decisions needed to be made and then taking the reins in the 30 days leading up to our June 29 wedding (effectively passing off all our vendor communication to him.) And the weekend of our wedding, he knew all our guests, their dietary restrictions (and what food to serve them), and coached us on key moments of the wedding day. For example, right as we entered the reception for our Grand Entrance and first dance, which we choreographed, Brandon told us to focus only on each other, not to get distracted by our guests and cameras, etc. He had amazing little ‘pep talks’ for all the Big Moments and was such an important part of our weekend – we’re so grateful for him and his team.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL. The groom’s father has Celiac and needs gluten free meals prepared without contamination – the venue went above and beyond to ensure he, and other guests with dietary restrictions, had everything they needed. Our guests told us they felt very taken care of all weekend.
And the event spaces were beautifully set up and organized for everything – umbrellas in every tent, golf carts to shuttle folks around. We consistently heard from our friends and family that the venue had somehow anticipated the things they needed before they could even ask for it.
GUESTS TAKEN CARE OF. We had elderly grandparents onsite with us. We worried their mobility issues would impact their enjoyment of the weekend, but everywhere we looked, there they were whizzing by in a golf cart. They had a great time.
And not just them, but all our guests were shuttled around in the rain. If anyone forgot anything, staff would run and get it for them. I left my engagement ring in a bedroom and Katie went and brought it to me during the Friday Welcome Party so I didn’t have to step away from the event.
SEAMLESS RAIN BACKUP PLAN. No one wants rain on their wedding day. We had planned for the outdoor woods ceremony but it poured all night and all day so we called it off. As disappointed as we were, the photos and video we have back from the Milking Parlor are unbelievably beautiful. The venue made sure all our vendors were re-oriented to the new plan and other than needing to find more indoor place to take formal portraits, everything happened behind the scenes and it all went great.
AMAZING FOOD. We live in NYC and eat great food all the time. Gilbertsville’s food is EXCEPTIONAL. Friday lunch sandwiches and salad were legit amazing. Rehearsal Dinner with dumplings, fried rice, baos, chicken, etc. was casually served buffet-style and delicious. People loved the smores that evening at the bonfire welcome party.
Wedding day food was out of this world (and we loved eating leftovers on our upstate minimoon in the days that followed) – y’all gotta get the sage butternut squash ravioli and Moroccan beef tagine. WOW.
Wedding farewell brunches are usually mediocre – you’re in some hotel basement lit with the brightest fluorescent white light, hungover eating powdered eggs and icy yogurt. Not Gilbertsville – farm-fresh scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked bacon, breads and jams, etc. in the Milking Parlor, which made for easy mingling and hanging out without feeling cramped in a dark room somewhere.
Our guests raved about the food to us all weekend (and since.)
UNIQUE EXPERIENCES. Ultimately, we wanted to give our guests a mini vacation and a unique experience. This was a solid 3-day party – everyone genuinely got to know one another, spend quality time together and with us, and created meaningful, joyful memories beyond just the wedding reception. We LOVED our time at Gilbertsville and are exceptionally grateful to Brandon, Katie, Dakota, and all the incredibly kind and helpful staff who made this the best weekend. -

We had our wedding at Gilbertsville Farmhouse this past October and it was everything we dreamed of and more! From the gorgeous upstate New York scenery, to the incredibly attentive staff, at Gilbertsville you will be surrounded by beauty and love throughout the entire weekend. Our wedding coordinator, Brandon Woodcock, put so much time and effort into curating an experience that has left our friends and family with memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t tell you how many guests have told us since the wedding that it was the most unforgettably fun wedding that they have attended and much of that we can attribute directly to Gilbertsville and their staff. The on-property lodging is luxurious while still giving you that camping/farmhouse experience. The kitchen staff does such a phenomenal job at both making sure no-one leaves hungry and every palette is more than satisfied. The rest of the farmhouse staff will be there to make sure everything is taken care of without a hitch, no matter what inevitable hiccups may arise. We are so grateful that we were able to tie the knot at Gilbertsville Farmhouse and hope that any prospective wedding venue seekers see this review as their sign to visit and experience the magic for themselves.

The most incredible weekend EVER!!!
Four months ago we had our absolute dream wedding at Gilbertsville Farmhouse!!! Words can not even begin to describe our experience!! We have not stopped hearing from our friends and family….”that is was the most incredible wedding they have ever been to” or how “magical” it was. My husband and I still talk about it almost daily, how we had the best time of our life!! We give the highest praise to Brandon Woodcock!!! He is the wedding coordinator at Gilbertsville Farmhouse. Brandon made everything possible!!! His attention to detail is like no other, he did not miss a beat!! Brandon made sure that our weekend went off without a hitch. He was meticulous in helping us plan and coordinate EVERY single detail! If we forgot anything, Brandon had our back and was there to figure it out!! His dedication and love for his job shined thru every thing he did to make our wedding absolutely perfect!!! Then….there was the rest of the staff who were also incredibly attentive and accommodating, ensuring that every detail was taken care of…Katie, Shelby and Lily. Two huge fan favorites were Peter and Eric, our golf cart drivers. Peter, Eric and Katie knew where everybody was, who needed what and really made sure all our family kids were safe, sound and were they needed to be!! The kids adored Peter and Eric!!! By the end of the weekend everyone there felt like part of our family!! The venue itself is stunning, with beautiful grounds and a picture-perfect backdrop for our ceremony. The catering by Dakota, Marcy and Roman was top-notch, and our guests are still raving about the delicious food. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you're looking for a magical place to say 'I do,' look no further than Gilbertsville Farmhouse. We got married there in this lifetime and we would get married there again in EVERY lifetime!!!! -

The Wedding of Our Dreams
It is truly so difficult to put into words just how special our time at Gilbertsville Farmhouse was. We are still glowing months later from an unforgettable 3 days - a time where we experienced breathtaking views, enjoyed the most delicious food imaginable, and made lasting memories with friends and family that we will all carry with us forever. Every single attendee we spoke with during or since the big day have wholeheartedly agreed, our wedding at Gilbertsville Farmhouse was the absolute best wedding they have ever attended! The whole experience from top to bottom was magical, the staff was so accommodating and helped us every step of the way to ensure we got to properly enjoy and treasure our time on this beautiful property. In the time leading up to the wedding, Brandon helped keep us on track with planning and saw to it that our day(s) went off without a hitch, we truly are so grateful especially for his help! We feel really lucky that we were able to bring our vision to life and have the party of our lives with those that we love, in an atmosphere that was absolutely perfect for us. The animal friends running around the property, the gazebo within the lake, all of the unique farmhouse spaces and lodging, truly nowhere else could have ever been as perfect for us as Gilbertsville Farmhouse. So - to Sharon, Brandon, Katie, Eric, Chef Dakota and the whole staff and family at Gilbertsville Farmhouse, we are eternally thankful and appreciative for all you did in bringing us the most perfect wedding we could have asked for. One of the very first things Sharon told us about Gilbertsville Farmhouse was that if we booked them, we'd have THE BEST WEDDING EVER. Let's tell you how they came through...
From start to finish, Sharon and her incredible team made us feel like we were part of their family. It was this sentiment that made us comfortable and excited to take the plunge with them. We knew early on that GFH would be the ones to help us achieve our dream wedding surrounded by all of our loved ones in the most special place reveling in the biggest moment of our lives.
As we all know, planning a wedding can be quite the overwhelming task. Brandon, GFH's wedding coordinator (extraordinaire!) was such an instrumental part of our planning throughout the year. Every call, email, text never went unanswered and Brandon's tireless efforts and attention to detail really made the difference. He guided us, advocated for us and made sure that we were in control of our choices every step of the way. His willingness to go the extra mile to make our experience as seamless as possible was pivotal and we couldn't have done it without him.
Everything else in between from the luxurious accommodations (OMG the sweetheart tent) to taking in the stunning grounds and fall foliage and playing with the animals (Duke and Maggie are the MVP's!) being carted around the property (shoutout to Katie and Peter for being the best chauffeurs and answering every walkie call making friendly conversations with everybody, you guys are real ones too!) and last but certainly not least, THE FOOD!! Chef Dakota is a master and every single dish was delicious to perfection. Our guests just could not stop raving about it all!! The entire experience was beyond our wildest dreams.
All that to say, if you're looking for a place that isn't only breathtaking but also an inclusive and passionate team of people who'll let you be hands off at your wedding so that you could enjoy it and cherish all the priceless memories, Gilbertsville is the place to be.

Venue of Your Dreams!!
This spot is next level. I am so happy I found this place to have my wedding at! We got married in early October 2023 and we were hoping to have our wedding outside. It ended up raining that day and although I was stressed the team at Gilbertsville was extremely prepared and still made the wedding go smoothly and look incredible. It was so much fun staying on the property and having my wedding party and family stay there. I didn't want the weekend to end we were having so much fun! Brandon and Katie were absolute champs and always there when you needed them. Any hiccups were immediately addressed and no one even knew. I cannot recommend this place enough. Besides the gorgeous views and venue they have built over the years - the people make it. Everyone was so helpful and incredibly kind. I wish we could re-live that day over and over again!! -

I’ve worked in the wedding industry for 8 years and I’ve SEEN IT ALL..... until Gilbertsville Farmhouse!!!!
The second my fiancé and I got engaged, we knew that we wanted a wedding day that was extremely unique, a full weekend "getaway" experience, filled with amazing food, family, & friends... and WOW did Gilbertsville Farmhouse deliver!!! First off, Brandon is the BACKBONE of the show! He is so kind, sweet, thoughtful, detail-oriented, and WONDERFUL. From the second we met him, I knew we were in the best hands, and he surpassed my expectations by miles and miles (and I have VERY HIGH standards!). :)
SHARON is the GOAT as well as the entire staff and family of the farm!!!
The food is unbelievable. Every single meal was absolutely incredible and they made sure all of our guests on-site and off-site with allergies and restrictions were treated like royalty every single chance they had.
Our guests just kept saying “HOW DID YOU FIND THIS PLACE?!?” because of how unbelievably surreal and perfect everything was.
I truly cannot speak enough on how lucky I feel to have found this venue for our wedding day. It is the most magical venue your friends and family will ever get to experience!!
Thank you 1 million times over to the ENTIRE STAFF!!!! We love you so much, and will be back for years to come!!!!

“BEST WEDDING EVER!!!” This is all I kept hearing after an incredible weekend spent at Gilbertsville with our friends and family. I don’t even have the words to explain how amazing Gilbertsville Farmhouse truly is. Brandon their wedding planner, is absolutely incredible. He was there to help every step of the way making sure I had everything done and organized so that when my weekend came he could handle it all. He truly did handle it ALL! I didn’t have to think or worry or be nervous about a single thing!!! The best part is I was able to enjoy my weekend worry and stress free. Every time I looked around Brandon had done everything I wanted and imagined. The Gilbertsville Farmhouse team is INCREDIBLE. I have so many wonderful things to say about each and every person on their team. It truly was worth every penny. The food and catering team is OUTSTANDING!! I got so many compliments on how amazing the food was, for not only the reception but every single meal all weekend!! The decor, the atmosphere, the employees, the animals, EVERYTHING!! I could go on for hours!!! I HIGHLY recommend having your wedding at Gilbertsville and book the whole weekend because you truly won’t regret it. It was the BEST weekend of our lives!!! What an amazing wedding experience! The minute my husband and I saw Gilbertsville Farmhouse we knew that this was the only place where we could see ourselves getting married and after our wedding, the same sentiment held true.
It was incredible being able to spend a weekend with our closest people! The food was AMAZING (no exaggeration, we had multiple guests come up to us commenting on how wonderful the food was), the team was so attentive and great to work with, and the goat yoga/ beer burro was such a rememberable experience.
We left many of the details up to Brandon, the event manager/day of coordinator, and it was so liberating to just sit back and relax because we knew that the team had our backs. Every space was GORGEOUS and beyond anything that we could have envisioned by ourselves.
We feel so lucky to have found such a special and unique place to get married. Our guests had just as nice of a time as we did, which was something so meaningful and important to us. We miss it already and will definitely be back for a weekend retreat.

The absolute best place to get married in NYS!
My husband and I got married at Gilbertsville Farmhouse in 7/1/23. We had all of our closest family and friends at Gilbertsville for the most incredible weekend celebration. I cannot recommend this venue enough- they provide the most unique and unforgettable weekend EXPERIENCE for you and your guests!!!
Full disclosure, I planned my entire wedding weekend at Gilbertsville Farmhouse from out of state (Colorado!) and I did not physically see the grounds until I arrived for our welcome/rehearsal dinner day! I was so blown away by the beauty of it all that I cried. It is truly spectacular-- the pond, the rolling green fields, the mountains, all of the beautifully decorated and comfortable glamping tents and structures on site for our guests, the adorable farm animals!!!
I was able to get away with planning from afar because the owner Sharon and head coordinator, Brandon Woodcock, are absolutely amazing. When they say they make it easy for their clients, they aren't kidding. Brandon was always available to answer questions, alleviate any anxiety that one might have prior to their wedding day AND ensured that everything was set up as envisioned. He communicated with all of our chosen vendors (florist, DJs, photographers, hair and make up artists, transportation etc.) to ensure everyone was on the same page, on time and ready to roll. Things could not have gone any smoother.
I am an outdoor enthusiast and wedding photographer myself. I've attended hundreds of weddings as a photography vendor and have seen many beautiful farm and nature-inspired venues. My expectations were HIGH and Gilbertsville blew us away. Every single one of our guests were RAVING about our time at Gilbertsville, literally saying it was one of the best weekends of their lives.
The food was so delicious and our guests raved about this as well. This place really has everything dialed so that couples and their guests can show up and just have the best time ever. Honestly, if you are contemplating this place and you aren't sure, I am here to tell you that this place is WORTH IT and one of the best wedding venues in New York State especially if you are an outdoorsy person or wanting to do something different for your wedding! We felt like we were on a destination vacation.

Where do I even begin.
I called Sharon at Gilbertsville Farmhouse 8 days after Dave proposed to me. I was a bride on a mission with a vision and I knew (even after just looking at pictures online), that this was the place that would host the most special weekend of our lives.
Sharon - first and foremost thank you for absolutely everything. You have a vision for design like no other and a heart of gold that shines through. To say that we love you is an understatement and I feel like we will be family forever. (Me and dave will be back every year don’t you worry).
Brandon…where do I even start with you!?! Thank you for dealing with my type A personality and excel sheets seamlessly. I don’t know why things happen the way they do but I know for a fact that you were supposed to be apart of our big weekend. Thank you will never justify how we feel about you and like I already told you l, I’m never deleted our group chat because we are in fact best friends. Every couple is lucky to have you and I thank god every single second for the over the top and outstanding emotional support you provided to us. (LOL)
KATIE! You are just magic, this place would not be the same without you there. I don’t know how you do what you do with such ease but I truly smile at the thought of you. I don’t want to brag but one of my favorite moments (besides the little dress flashing) will be you walking me down the aisle. I don’t think many people will be able to say that and I am honored.
Chef Dakota - I will never be the same after eating your masterpieces (yes masterpieces). Food brings people together and that is exactly what you did. (That salmon - I could just die).
GFH team - my goodness I love you all so much. The wedding blues are worse than normal because your team is not normal they are EXTRAORDINARY people. I will never forget this weekend and all the hard work you put into it to make sure our day was perfect, regardless of the weather.
Maggie and Duke, I miss you more than you know.
We love you all so much. Brides and grooms don’t hesitate on this magical place. RAIN OR SHINE they show up and show out for you. I literally walked down the aisle in the rain and I couldn’t have imagined it any other way.

Best Wedding Experience Ever
My now husband and I recently had our wedding at Gilbertsville Farmhouse, and we can't say enough about how perfect the entire experience was, from the planning stages to our final goodbyes. Already, we're trying to figure out when we can return for a retreat, as are many of our guests!
We booked the venue, site unseen, because of the wonderful feelings of warmth and confidence we got from Sharon, the owner, as well as the gorgeous photos and solid reviews. When we finally went to visit a few months later, our expectations were blown away by the beauty of the place, the warmth of the employees, and the deliciousness of the food we tasted.
Sharon promises the "Best. Wedding. Ever." and she and her team deliver. We never had a more wonderful time, and all of our guests still 6 weeks later are saying the same. Sharon's small team is mighty. We had a complex vision for our weekend, and they carried it off perfectly and with grace. We did nothing but have fun the entire time because we knew Gina, Shane, Katie, and George had every single detail handled.
If you're hesitating, don't! Getting married here is a fairytale dream come true! -

We had already been looking forward to our “best weekend ever” what seems like an eternity ago. But then 2020, and blah blah blah, anyway… Then comes July 2021 and we and our guests had an absolutely spectacular time. From the moment everyone approached the property on Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon when we and our parents had a private moment to reflect and pack the car, everything at Gilbertsville Farmhouse is advertised- Best weekend ever. All the on-site lodging is comfortable and unique and our we really enjoyed bringing our family and friends together for a longer time than just the usual 6-hour ceremony & reception. Katie, George, and the GFH staff were zipping around the property the day of our wedding, so we were a Wally-talky away from help or transportation. It was raining during goat yoga, but taking umbrellas to the tin-roofed barn filled with baby kittens and their parents, llamas, and chickens made it more adventurous; it ALMOST rained during our ceremony, but luckily GFH worked something out and the clouds made an awesome backdrop for our ceremony on the hill. Lastly, once we arrived, everything seemed to happen without us needing to check in or inquire, from rooms being cleared for meals and events, to campfires being started, and vendors being directed and given walk-in talkies. Thank you to the Boustanis and everyone that made our weekend awesome. -

Best Wedding Venue
After postponing and having to cancel our destination wedding, we found Gilbertsville Farmhouse. My oh, oh my, what a stunning venue and the best decision we made to celebrate our wedding! It was the perfect wedding getaway with our closest family and friends. Gilbertsville is the true definition of rustic glam. The attention to detail at this venue begins the second you set foot on site. From the barn to the rooms, the food, everything is spectacular. The photo opportunities are plentiful to get fantastic shots with a lot of different backgrounds and farm animals. YES, farm animals! The owner Sharon, our wedding coordinator Gina, and the entire staff were excellent and helpful every step of the way. Overall, Gilbertsville Farmhouse exceeded our expectations, and we recommend it to all our engaged friends. -

The venue itself is beyond stunning. A completely unique experience, out and away from the big city, keeping the wedding feeling intimate and special.
The team that makes up Gilbertsville Farm goes above and beyond to be helpful and anticipate your needs, and I can say we didn't want for anything. We were so grateful to have all of their hard work and attentiveness during a weekend that can be otherwise stressful.

When they say “BEST. WEEKEND. EVER.” They mean it. Like, they REALLY mean it. From the moment you step foot onto the Gilbertsville property, you have the entire team doing everything they can ensure you and your guests have the most incredible weekend. The group of people Sharon has on her team are THE hardest workers I have ever met. They are people who HUSTLE and they care about every couple so much. You can feel it. I am beyond impressed and in awe of the weekend they were able to pull off to give my husband and me the wedding we always talked about having. I only wish it could have lasted longer - I seriously don’t know how people have a one day wedding after experiencing this! The food was amazing. The venue was amazing. The live band they recommended was amazing. And the photographer was BEYOND amazing. Listen, Victoria (our photographer) is Sharon’s (venue owner) daughter. But this isn’t like a “oh my daughter can take your photos she’s pretty good” kind of thing. It’s actually a mistake if you don’t have her capture your wedding weekend at this venue. She is TALENTED and she knows this venue like the back of her hand. She knows all the greatest shots, where the light is the best, and she is obviously close with the Gilbertsville staff, so she was able to perfectly execute and coordinate our day! Plus you don’t have to pay travel fees **wink wink**. Having your wedding here is the best decision you can make. You and your wedding guests will be talking about this for years to come. -

As soon as we saw Gilbertsville Farmhouse, we knew we had found a beautiful and special venue. There were a ton of fun and engaging activities built-in and we were allowed to customize the weekend plan in absolutely any way we wanted to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience for our guests.
What we couldn't have known was how accommodating, flexible, friendly and generally amazing the staff would be. Sharon is a visionary and she has pulled together a team of dedicated and like-minded people who made our wedding weekend into a stunning event that all of our friends and family are still raving about months later. At every turn, Sharon, Aldo, Gina, Katie, George, Chef Dan and the rest of the amazing crew made us feel like whatever we wanted was their absolute priority. They bring so much love, joy and passion to what they do and it elevated our weekend to something beyond even our loftiest dreams.

The reception barn is insane how beautiful it is, the glamping village is awesome and so much fun, and the property as a whole is so beautiful. The staff are super helpful and friendly, and always there when you need them, all weekend long! Our guests gushed over all the cute animals, and we kept hearing over and over how this was the most amazing wedding venue they had ever been to! Gilbertsville Farmhouse provided the wedding day of my dreams and so much more! From the planning process to the day of, everything was flawless. I first found out about Gilbertsville Farmhouse in a late night Google session while researching venues. My husband and I are both veterinarians so we knew we wanted a farm wedding with an many animals as possible, including our own. GF looked perfect! It was located exactly halfway between our hometowns in the middle of nowhere – a enchanted escape for a magical day. Once I first heard about it, I compared every other venue to it and no other venue seemed to offer what they could – a weekend-long wedding, a picturesque ceremony backdrop, a glamorous barn reception, cocktail hour in a milking barn, glamping for the wedding party, and goat yoga! What more could you want? I knew I had to make the 4 hour trip to see is as soon as possible. A week later, we first visited the venue during a snowstorm in March. It was so eerie as the town seemed to have shut down for the season, but when we arrived at the farm we could see the vision of our day even through the foot of fresh snow! Sharon and Aldo were so enthusiastic about their farm and you can tell that they put their whole hearts into it. They gave a thorough tour, using 4-wheel-drive through the snow so that we could see everything! We stood at the ceremony alter site together, knee deep in the snow, staring at the beautiful backdrop, and we both knew that this is where we had to get married. We were sold then and there – it was the first and last venue that we visited. Throughout the planning process, Sharon was very helpful and responsive by email and also by phone for more urgent matters. They provided a list of fantastic vendors (about 95% of mine came from that list), nearby hotels for family to stay at, and information about making things run smoothly. We visited the venue a couple more times before our wedding day to go to their SAGE experience and for walkthroughs with my wedding planner. You and your vendors can set up all week, so the week of the wedding I drove up and stayed there an entire day setting up décor with my planner and caterer. Sharon was very helpful in ironing out any last minute details during that time. On Friday, my family and wedding party all drove to the venue. We drove up with our dog and two cats as well who were allowed to stay at the farm! It was so great to have them there the entire weekend. We were blessed with perfect weather and everyone was stunned by the beauty of the farm. After cuddling with some puppies and goats, we unpacked in our perfectly set up glamping tents and farmhouse rooms. Having twenty rooms for forty people to stay at the farm meant we could have everyone we loved most with us for the entire weekend. The rehearsal went smoothly and then more family arrived for the rehearsal dinner that evening in the milking parlor. It was so cool to have the tables set up down the long aisle of milking stalls – very rustic chic. They were also able to set up a projector screen so that my in-laws could show a video they put together. Later that evening we had a bonfire set at the glamping tents and the young wedding crew partied into the late night while family settled in to sleep at the quiet farmhouse. The glamping tents were huge with king size beds, so once it cooled down for the night a dozen of us fit comfortably in one tent with the wood fire stove going, chatting and drinking late into the evening. The next morning I had my ladies up early for a morning goat yoga session! The misty morning by the pond was so picture-perfect and then we were surprised with puppies at the end of the yoga session! It was such a fun way to start the exciting day and to ease my nerves. The women then went to get ready in the farmhouse which has a large communal space for breakfast and to do hair and make up. We stayed there while the groomsmen got ready at the glamping tents, until the first look in the wooded area. Our first look felt so intimate and personal. They lit candles on the stumps in the woodsy area to make it special and it was such a nice, quiet moment for the two of us to enjoy together. We took pictures, then the ceremony was next and it was so breathtaking walking up the long hill to the ceremony site with my parents by my side. Everyone comfortably fit in the church pews and the whole set up was a truly a dream that I will never forget. Cocktail hour was in the milking parlor and in the additional room off of the milking parlor. Both were decorated perfectly with so many extra touches that I didn’t need to add anything! After cocktail hour, we welcomed our guests into the main barn with a receiving line. The evening flowed flawlessly from there. The barn was so glamorous and well decorated with gorgeous chandeliers, a large bar in the corner, wide open doors with flowing drapery, and a beautifully decorated fireplace. I added a lot of florals, but even with only minimal extra décor and flowers, it would be spectacular. As day turned to night the dancing started in the barn under the chandeliers, while a bonfire was lit outside on the patio for people to take a dance break and sit in an Adirondack chair under the stars while eating some smores. At the end of the evening we had a sparkler exit, which they helped coordinate and sent our early guests off on a bus, while the younger late-night crowd stayed for the after party. The after party was held in the small room off of the milking parlor. It is painted dark blue and has a rustic-chic nightclub vibe which was perfect for our glowing after party! I bought a bunch of glow sticks and we had a great time in there, while older family members lounged and chatted in the milking parlor area. It was the perfect end to the evening, I couldn’t feel my feet from all the dancing and my heart was so full! Everyone had such a great time and I wish I could do it all over and over again. I still get so many compliments from guests about how amazing, beautiful, and fun the venue was, how kind and hardworking the employees were, and what a lovely time they had. I also still get so many comments on my gorgeous wedding photos and video with people asking me where my venue is. Well, I’ll tell you where it is. It’s Gilbertsville Farmhouse and IT IS A DREAM! -

My now husband and I can not say ENOUGH about how incredible our wedding was at Gilbertsville Farmhouse. When we first got engaged, GF was the last venue we looked at after a variety of farms, farm-to-table establishments, etc. that didn't quite feel like us. When we arrived in the Butternut Valley and the farm appeared at the top of the hill, we both had a great feeling immediately. Upon meeting Sharon who treated us like family, we knew this was the venue for us. Needless to say, we got married in October 2019 and our family/friends are still raving about how amazing and unique our wedding weekend was.
Everything about the venue is stunning and truly goes without saying that Sharon & her family/team take extreme pride in every detail that goes into your wedding. The property really felt like ours for the weekend and while we felt the support from Katie (who is truly an angel) and other staff that weekend, we didn't feel like intruders or uncomfortable to do things the way we wanted.
The weekend really went off without a hitch and we cannot thank Katie and Sharon enough for making this happen! Everything from the rehearsal dinner in the dairy barn, to vendor deliveries, to even finding my cellphone after what is inevitably a chaotic weekend, Katie and Sharon were THERE for it.
If you are looking for a unique weekend, if you enjoy the beauty of the outdoors but comfort of knowing you have a real bathroom to use (LOL) and want to feel like the weekend is yours for celebrating your love, we can't recommend Gilbertsville Farmhouse enough. We can't wait to go back for retreats and really will hold this place with such a tender place in our hearts forever. -

While looking for a venue for our rustic themed wedding, we almost felt defeated because we couldn't find the perfect one. We stumbled upon Gilbertsville Farmhouse as a venue on TheKnot. We went for a Sunday tour and as Sharon was describing the beautiful land that she calls home and what the vision of her weddings were we instantly fell in love with the venue. We placed our deposit a few days later. Working with Sharon and her husband was smooth and easy. We had questions leading up to the big day and she was able to respond in reasonable time. When it came to the big day Katie was there to greet us and welcome us to our weekend wedding. She helped guide our parents to where things needed to be dropped off and placed. Running the rehearsal Katie was amazing helping everyone get in place and kept everything running smoothly.
We enjoyed a relaxing and cute goat/puppy yoga before the rehearsal which we highly recommend (sorry they no longer have puppies now, but hopefully will have more soon). Exploring the venue was my favorite part going to the hammock park, hanging out with family playing yard games, and more. When it came to our big day Sharon was there in the morning to help the bride (myself) and golf carting some of the bridal party to the farmhouse suites early in the morning. Katie was so welcoming also with our guests when they arrived. Everything was perfect and exactly how we imagined our big day. Another plus was that Sharon, her husband, and Katie helped clean up after the reception with the parents of the couple. We are so thankful for the staff and owners of Gilbertsville. We are so blessed and thankful for everything you all did to let us have our perfect day! So thank you! Highly highly highly recommend using this wedding venue especially for a weekend wedding! -

We knew Gilbertsville Farmhouse needed to be our wedding venue the second we stepped foot on their insanely beautiful farm. It's truly the most unique and stunning venue I've ever seen.
The owners Sharon and Aldo, along with their awesome staff (shout out to Katie and Vanessa!), are nothing short of a dream to work with. They are constantly looking for ways to improve, and add things to make their venue even better than it already is. The drive they have to be the best at what they do is amazing, and it shows.
Having the venue for the entire weekend was SO fun, and our guests loved hanging out on the property, taking part in goat yoga and interacting with all the animals (especially Duke and Maggie!) We even had a guest take home one of their barn kittens. Probably the best wedding favor ever! We had the total run of the farm while we were there, and really felt like we were at home — But if we needed literally anything, there was always someone there to jump in at a moment's notice.
Our guests could not stop saying how beautiful unique the venue was and how much fun they had. We really really wanted to get married out on the hill, but the weather was just not cooperating with us, and we had our ceremony in the milking barn. It was such a blessing in disguise. The ceremony was so beautiful and intimate. I wouldn't have changed a thing about it.
Basically if you have any reservations about getting married about Gilbertsville Farmhouse - stop and book your wedding immediately!!! Their team is top notch, the venue is stunning, the entire experience feels like something out of a dream. -

Gilbertsville Farmhouse was the absolute dream of a venue. We wanted to create an experience for our closest friends and family that was uniquely special and memorable, and this was it. We looked at quite a few venues for our big day but Gilbertsville Farmhouse won us over pretty quickly – as soon as we arrived, the farm's sweet animals were there to welcome us. From there, we met Sharon, whose vibe we instantly connected with! Even though it was raining throughout our venue tour, we walked into the misty forest and imagined getting married beneath the trees and that was it. The place, the experience, and the people are what make this place so amazing. Our guests keep telling us how much they loved the glamping tents, and getting to spend a weekend together in the outdoors. Coming from NYC we knew Sharon 'got' us and she was incredibly accommodating throughout the entire planning process. We were so thrilled with our decision to get married at Gilbertsville Farmhouse and we wish we could marry each other there over and over again. -

If you are looking for a venue that is different from your typical wedding and will stand out among your guests, then look no further. Even though Gilbertsville Farmhouse was the first and only venue that we checked out, we knew immediately that it was the place for us. When we met Sharon and her family, and she showed us around the grounds, we fell in love instantly. From the glamping tents, to the lake, the hammock park, the barn packed with goats and loads of other animals, there was never a dull moment for our guests. The pews and arbor set on top of the hill provide the perfect backdrop for a picturesque wedding ceremony and the barn the perfect ceremony. Even though our wedding date brought record high temperatures with near triple digit readings, it did not detract from the fun at all, and in fact even added to the entertainment with spontaneous dips in the lake. Sharon and her staff were amazing in accommodating all of our guests needs the entire weekend. Sharon's assistant Katie worked tirelessly from the moment we arrived Friday morning, to the minute we left on Sunday. I honestly do not think she slept or took a break because every time we looked up or needed anything, she was right there to assist. Looking back now after a few months, this was definitely the best weekend of our lives, and we cannot wait to go back for a glamping weekend and some goat yoga! -

Dream come true!!!
Words can’t describe our experience with Gilbertsville Farmhouse. Our friends and family were stunned, and we were ecstatic the entire time. We heard the words “best wedding ever” at least 20 times, and it was the truth. From start to finish, the staff here had our best interest in mind. Katie took the lead on our weekend, and she is a ROCKSTAR. She stayed cool, calm and collected, and met our every need. That type of presence is necessary on a day like that. The glamping site left our guests in awe, and the venue itself speaks for itself. 30 degree temperatures and pouring rain couldn’t even stop this weekend from being TOTALLY PERFECT! From the moment I stepped onto Gilbertsville Farmhouse property I was in love. As soon as we met Sharon and Katie on the tour, I was sure this was my dream wedding venue. Let's be serious, they had me at goat yoga.
Besides the barn and the property being an absolute dream, your favorite people get to stay there with you all weekend. The glamping tents are so gorgeous that even my camping-phobic friends wanted to permanently become Gilbertsville tent residents. The Friday afternoon goat yoga was the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Our faces hurt from so much smiling and laughing. Pure joy. Our guests at the farm enjoyed lounging in the hammock park and all the farm animals. The schedule is loose and relaxing. No stress.
The wedding day itself went incredibly smooth (and we had so much fun!) with Katie, Sharon, and her family keeping everything on schedule and adding so many special touches. My mom had a stroke a few weeks before our wedding and Sharon's kids drove her around on a golf cart all day so she didn't miss a thing. I never worried or stressed for a minute that whole weekend. I'm a NYC wedding photographer at 40+ weddings a year. This is far beyond what I see at any venue. They take care of you like you are family.

Not only do you get the best wedding day you’ve ever dreamed of but you also get an entire WEEKEND with your family and closest friends to prepare for and unwind from the BEST WEDDING EVER. The grounds are IMMACULATE. From a lake, to the view, to the milking parlor, the barn to the additional perks including FARMHOUSE for your family to stay the weekend, GLAMPING TENTS for your friends or bridal party to stay, HAMMOCK PARK, etc! This place is the place that DOESNT STOP GIVING! We married here September 2018 and we still can’t stop talking about it and hearing about it from our guests. Erin Sent on 07/21/2018THE BEST DECISION WE EVER MADE. I feel like nothing I write will even do this venue justice. From the second we got there (in freezing February) we knew it was the place we wanted to be married. It’s unlike anywhere I have ever had a wedding, and Sharon and her team were super accommodating. The glamping tents were amazing, getting married on the hill was a dream, and having a welcome party in the milking barn is an experience everyone is still talking about. The reception was beautiful with the chandeliers in the barn. It honestly was such an amazing combo of rustic and class. All of us keep saying how we wish we could do it over and over. Sharon worked with me early on to make sure that this venue would work for us, and we really felt like family when we were there. It was a hike for our entire family in downstate NY, but zero regrets from anyone!

Kelly Sent on 12/23/2017Gilbertsville Farmhouse was the perfect venue for us. It had everything we had ever dreamed of and more for our wedding and after waiting 12 years the we knew the venue we picked needed to be perfect. I knew it was the perfect place for us before even stepping foot on the property. Looking at the website it had I could tell it was going to checkoff all the marks, chandeliers, glamping, barn, multiple ceremony sites, and the option for a wedding weekend getaway! Camping has been a major part of our lives, growing up we both spent many summers putting up tents and spending our time in the outdoors. So the thought of glamping on our wedding night was a dream come true, a very unique experience. The tents could not have been more glamorous, everyone in our bridal party was obsessed with how each tent was decorated and how comfortable the beds were. Sharon, Katie, and Aldo could not have been more welcoming. They were there to answer any questions or concerns we had and made sure the big day went on with out a hitch. Gilbertsville Farmhouse offers so much more then just a place to host your wedding. We were able to spend time hanging out with family and friends and create memories that will last us lifetime. Sitting by the fire pit, relaxing in a hammock, meditating with goat yoga are just a few of our favorite things Gilbertsville has to offer! Check them out you will not be sorry!

Lisa Sent on 06/15/2015We celebrated our daughter's wedding and couldn't have been more pleased, working with Aldo and Sharon was such a delight, with the many phone calls and last minute visits to the venue they were such a help, the grounds are beautiful, and the pictures come out beautiful, I recommend renting the farmhouse the day/evening of the wedding, we had an hour drive and the wedding party ended up staying the evening of the wedding they were able to rest and relax after the hectic day. If rustic elegance is what your envisioning, this is a great choice, also would highly recommend having a wedding coordinator the day of the wedding, takes a lot of pressure off parents of the bride and groom.
