A great wedding dessert alternative/addition!

We decided to have cupcakes at our wedding instead of the normal tiered cake, and what a great decision it was! Georgetown Cupcakes were the hit of the party! Everyone raved about all of the flavor options and how delicious all of them were. We had 12 dozen different flavor options spread all over our dessert table. It was a beautiful scene. The designs were fantastic and the flavors were amazing. We couldn't have been more thrilled with how everything turned out.

We knew we wanted cupcakes for our wedding, and Georgetown Cupcake is our favorite. We inquired about their wedding services, and were told to order 1 day-2 months in advance. We were able to design custom cupcakes (icing colors, toppings), and were completely satisfied with our beautiful and delicious desserts!

We decided early on in the wedding planning process that we would have cupcakes instead of the traditional wedding cake. We wanted some areas of the wedding to be traditional, but others to stand out a bit! We hit the nail on the head with cupcakes! Our wedding planner had used Georgetown Cupcakes in the past and highly recommended them! We are so happy we decided to go with Georgetown Cupcakes! Our guests were thrilled that they got to try different flavors and even more thrilled when they learned that we purchased enough cupcakes (with boxes) so they could take a couple home with them. Everyone has seen their TV show and thought it was super unique that we hired them to make our wedding cupcakes! The cupcakes looked perfect and all arrived just as we ordered them! The cupcake display looked amazing!

Excellent choice for our wedding! We placed the order months ahead and everything came out perfect. We chose the salted caramel and lemon blossom which were absolutely amazing!

Georgetown cupcakes is the best cupcakes my fiance has ever tasted so of course we had to have these for our wedding. The taste is great the value is decent for a gourmet cupcakery. The only downside is they don't really fit our beachy theme or our colors because they want the different flavors to stand out so they don't do custom frosting colors and such.

We did a variety of cupcakes for our wedding and they even helped me with my aunt who required a special dietary need. The cupcakes were a hit and we enjoyed the responsiveness and help of the shipment manager who wanted to ensure that all was taken cared of and that our fondets were exactly how we wanted them to be seen. Many of our guests shared how flavorful and delicious these tasty treats were and we had a great number to take home and enjoy!

Wonderfully price effective and infinitely more crowd-pleasing and tasty than a standard cake, GC is the best. We ordered ten dozen, and GC allows you to place the entire order online - no need for dealing with coordinators. Picked them up ourselves so no extra delivery cost. Everyone stopped us during the reception to rave. If you live in the DC reason, it's the best possible choice.

Instead of a traditional groom’s cake, we served a bunch of mini cupcakes from Georgetown cupcakes. We went with red velvet, Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip, and Chocolate2. They were a huge hit with the guests! We set out to go boxes thinking we would have a bunch of leftover cake and cupcakes, but the cupcakes went fast! Thankfully, one of my bridesmaids boxed us up some so we got to try them the next day! We thought the mini cupcakes were a good deal, and they delivered them to the hotel for a delivery fee of only $10 (I’ve paid more than that to park in the city before). It was neat to serve something DC is known for, and fun to watch how excited the guests got about them.

We had 8 different cupcake flavors for our wedding reception and every single one was AMAZING! Our guests are still raving about the cupcakes! The fondant decorations on top were perfect and added a personal touch the the cupcakes.

I have always wanted strawberry cake for my wedding. After doing some research, I found out having cupcakes would be a little cheaper than having a traditional wedding cake. I thought Georgetown Cupcakes would be perfect for out-of-town guests to have a little taste of DC. Lucky for me, strawberry is one of their flavors. They not only looked beautiful, but they were amazingly delicious! All my guests were so happy we had them.

Georgetown Cupcakes was excellent. My guest loved the cupcakes. We used the delivery service. The cupcakes were delivered on time an in perfect condition. All of my email inquiries were answered promptly.

The cupcakes were delicious and tasted great. The only problem is that it was almost 100 degrees the day of our wedding, so they started to melt as soon as we put them out for display. I would recommend you to freeze then right before serving it. They tasted really good.

Our guests were from out of town so we went with Georgetown Cupcakes for the "DC" feel. The looked amazing and they matched up my wedding colors so well. Not only were the cupcakes delicious, but they looked pretty as well. I would recommend them and we actually saved a lot of money by doing cupcakes.

Who doesn't love cupcakes??? And I can honestly say that I have not like a single wedding cake that I have had (sorry to all of the brides and grooms of weddings that I have attended, everything else was great, haha) But in all seriousness, everyone loves Georgetown cupcakes, they looked beautiful and we could use frosting that matched our color scheme for our wedding. I know that wedding cakes look beautiful but the cupcakes looked beautiful as well and tasted great too!

Of course they are delicious...but ordering was so easy. Ordered them 2 days before wedding, picked them up and that was it! For the price, you can not beat it, much less than a cake slice and then you can have a variety to please everyone.

We opted for cupcakes vs a wedding cake.It was great. We just ordered the cupcakes from Georgetown about a week prior to the wedding. We mixed full size with minis in 3 different flavors. Our guests loved that they could try different flavors and they were a HUGE hit! We barely were able to save any for ourselves, it was the one this we did not have leftovers of! Our friends and family thought we were silly for such "expensive cupcakes" but they understood after tasting them. Also when comparing price against other cupcake places I think GC is very reasonable. We loved every bite!!

Great cupcakes. Working with them was very easy. We had a logo we wanted to be placed on each cupcake and they did it for us without any problems. Just had to pay the one time fee of $5 and that is it. It was great. One down side is that we had a silver color on the logo and it came out green on the cupcakes, even when we reminded them about this during the dry run dozen we had gotten previously. That was the only hiccup. Otherwise, the cupcakes were fantastic and loved by all as expected.

Georgetown cupcakes provided cupcakes for our wedding reception. We had a small wedding so amid of two dozen cupcakes was perfect to let my guests pick what they wanted. That was great because my father could not have chocolate and that is my husband's favorite flavor. My only complaint is that they do not provide a tasting option for weddings so we had to buy a half dozen cupcakes ahead of time to pick flavors.

I had cupcakes from Georgetown flown into Illinois the day before my party. I had placed the orders online, and all came in as expected, on the day expected. They were packaged very well, with hardly any damage to the cupcakes. There were also chilled ice packets packed with them. My guests were raving about the cupcakes- they are definitely unique in texture and flavor. I ordered mixed flavors, but I especially recommend the strawberry- it is the most real strawberry flavor you will ever have in a cupcake ! My only caveat- is that they ARE expensive, and shipping at $15 per dozen, with no discounts available, is quite a lot.

The cupcakes were delicious and they even made personalized emblems to match our colors. They were very professional, the ordering process was easy and they were ready by the time they told us they would be. I love Georgetown Cupcakes anyway so there really wasn't any other place I wanted to order from for my wedding. You also can't beat the price compared to traditional wedding cakes and cupcakes are so much easier to handle and pass out to guests. Everyone was so excited when they saw the pink boxes come in the door!

We love Georgetown Cupcakes and choose to have them at our wedding! Soooo glad we did because our guests loved them as much as we did. We ordered 6 dozen of the classic and a half dozen vegan and had them delivered to our wedding venue. We opted to not get any special decorations, but you could if you want. Anyway, the delivered them to the venue and our caterers set them up and it was perfect! Effortless!

Georgetown Cupcake provided the cupcakes for our wedding, and they were an absolute hit! Everyone knows and loves Georgetown Cupcake, and we had nearly 20 of the most popular flavors featured on a gorgeous cupcake tower at our wedding. Our guests couldn't get enough!! Everyone loves cupcakes, and the cupcake tower was a fun and unique way to showcase dessert at our wedding. I was able to work with the team at Georgetown Cupcake to design personalized fondant cupcake toppers in our wedding colors that featured our monogram. They turned out great! The service was very good but we were a little disappointed that we could only place the cupcake order 30 days before the wedding. It would have been nicer if we could have placed the order several months in advance (when we were firming up everything else for the wedding)-- instead of leaving it until the last minute.

Georgetown Cupcakes was fantastic. SO much less expensive than paying for a wedding cake, and just as delicious (if not more so). In fact, my husband and I were laughing because our guests started to try and sneak some cupcakes for themselves before the cake cutting, lol!

Great and friendly service, everything was delivered on time. They don't provide cupcake stands for weddings and for the most part, customers need to ensure that the flavors they order are being made on the day of their wedding (take a look at their weekly menu in advance). This was kind of a bummer because there were so many delicious-sounding flavors we wanted to try that weren't made on Saturdays, but definitely not the end of the world. We loved our wedding cupcakes and will definitely remain loyal patrons of Georgetown Cupcakes!

Had to have their great cupcakes for our wedding. They were very easy to work with. They did custom fondant for the cupcakes - initials and designs. The only part that I would have changed is that we had to wait until the store opened on Saturday to pick up the cupcakes, and because we were having a morning wedding, that was a little challenging. But they all came out great and our guests loved them!

We did cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake and decided to go with Georgetown Cupcakes. They are beautiful and they are delicious and we knew our guests would love having them, without having to wait in line.
Getting the cupcakes ordered was a very easy online process, however I missed the personal touch that you would get with other bakeries/vendors. It felt very cold and impersonal. But the cupcakes were delivered just as we ordered them. We had to set them up ourselves on cake stands that did not have any instructions. They looked great and tasted and delicious.

I ordered mini cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcakes. The cupcakes were delicious and the guests raved about them. There is no doubt about the quality of their cupcakes. Having an assortment of the cupcakes made a pretty picture. 3 reasons why I am not giving full stars
- the mini cupcakes can only be ordered in increments of 24. I would have preferred if I could have ordered in increments of 12, so I ended up with more chocolate and vanilla instead of salted caramel or peanut butter fudge.
- I ordered the cupcakes ahead of time and had someone pick them up. He had to wait in the pre order line and waited for 30 minutes. Considering it was a pre order, the wait seemed excessive. Especially since the wedding was at noon in Frederick and the store doesn't open until 10:00AM, the timing wasn't great.
- I had asked that the boxes be labeled to indicate what type of cupcakes were in each box because each guest was "assigned" a specific cupcake. I made place cards with guests' names, the type of cupcake and a description of the cupcake. People setting up the cupcakes had to look up on their smart phone for pictures of Georgetown's cupcakes so someone having a "Peanut Butter Fudge" wasn't going to get the "Chocolate Ganache".

My husband and I went with cupcakes instead of a traditional cake for our September reception. We live in Bethesda (well familiar with all their cupcakes/flavors as we frequent the Bethesda store) and my husband can’t eat any dairy so he loves their vegan cupcakes. Even with a large order, you are still restricted to ordering flavors available only made that month/day which is a bummer especially since some of my personal favorites were not available on the day of our event. The ordering process can be done online but we went to the store to discuss some options. The cupcakes tasted great but our personalized fondant decoration was a little disappointing. We decided to have their usual topping décor for half of each dozen and our personalized décor for the other half of each dozen. We went with blue and silver hearts with our initials in black block ink on the hearts (R +A). Pretty simple but there was a lot of inconsistency with each of the hearts and it wasn’t as “clean” appearing as I would have liked. Truthfully it looked a sloppy and I would think for the Georgetown cupcake brand, this would not be the product you would want to put out for special occasions like a wedding. Please keep that in mind if you want to go with your own personalized decoration. Very disappointing and there is nothing you can do about it as you don’t see them until the day of the event. Also remember that individual boxes and cupcake stands are extra for planning purposes. I think I will still with Georgetown cupcakes for my weekend sweet tooth needs but I don’t think I would ever do another personalized decoration order.

Our cupcakes were delicious; however, we were not impressed with the service. We ordered from the DC georgetown cupcakes location because we love their cupcakes but as far as customer service goes it was nothing special. We contacted their location online, we got one response email from the catering manager who requested to know what time she could contact us. After emailing her back we failed to her from her. On a crunch we were forced to make our order online and easily had our cupcakes picked up the day of by a friend. It was much easier just doing it on our own than trying to go through their catering dept.

The wedding cupcakes were cute and delicious. However, they got the cupcake color wrong even though we called and confirmed our order and color scheme the day before (we ordered purple and got blue instead). So we ended up with blue cupcakes that sort of clashed against our purple-decorated stand and top level cake. Regardless, the cupcakes were a hit and very popular among all the guests.

The wedding cupcakes on the Georgetown Cupcakes site look beautiful. I was very disappointed with the cupcakes I got and even more disappointed with the experience. The cupcakes were yummy and they looked okay. Not like the beautiful cupcakes on their site. You don't get options on details when ordering the cupcakes and if they're not sure about something, then they just guess. Their cupcakes are always good but I wouldn't recommend them for a wedding.
