The chapel was beautiful! We ordered the torches and Michelle made sure the church looked great. She was wonderful to work with. Father Karl was an amazing officiant. If you need a church to go to, even if not for a wedding, go here and listed to Father Karl's sermon. You will be mesmerized

The contact from Washington Memorial Chapel, Michelle is very nice and responsible - she helped us to put a pin to the date although it was a "last minute request" and made it all happen. Farther Karl from the chapel host our ceremony, he is passionate, fun, etc...he is wonderful and we were touched by his nice words. The Chapel is not big but nice for small group celebration - we had only 20 ppl so we fit everybody in the choir room, very intimate!

The most beautiful backdrop for our wedding. I didn't want to have to worry about weather, so we looked for a church near our venue and came across Washington Memorial Chapel. The chapel has such a history and the inside is a beautiful space to hold a wedding. It is located right near Valley Forge park, which allowed for photos in the park. And the outdoor stone area is great for photos as well. We were married by Father Roy, who was so nice to get to know. He met with us a few times prior to the wedding to discuss marriage, and I really enjoyed our conversations. He has so much knowledge and insight into creating a successful marriage. Michelle did all of our coordinating and planning. She is so kind and easy to reach via email or phone. She put me at ease, she has everything under control and planned so well. I am so happy with our choice for the ceremony, we had a beautiful wedding! If you chose Washington Memorial Chapel, get the torches! They are so beautiful!

I had always wanted to have my wedding in the chapel and I have to say it was absolutely wonderful! My husband and I could not have asked for a more spectacular setting! We received endless compliments on the ceremony and it truly was spectacular. Father Almquist is the nicest and he did a wonderful job as well. Highly reccomend!!

What an amazing experience to be married in this gorgeous Chapel! Michelle was so easy to work with, and made sure everything went off with a hitch. Father Almquist was AMAZING. Meeting with him was actually a lot of fun. He really got to know my husband and I as a couple and as individuals. The entire ceremony was amazing and gorgeous. My husband is a huge history buff, so getting married here was his dream. It exceeded our expectations and made for such a beautiful day!

Beautiful! Pat, the woman I corresponded with during months of planning was exceptionally helpful and kind--Pat knows her stuff! The Reverend Almquist was kind and very helpful. I have NEVER heard such compliments on an officiant before...he was an excellent charge, gave a wonderful message, and truly blessed the bride and groom, our families, and all of our guests. Pamela, the on-site wedding day coordinator was also a gem. She knew how to help and when, and also knew when to step aside and give space and time. This is a rare gift, and I deeply appreciated Pamela's know-how. Pamela's husband Richard was equally skilled in helping the groom and his ushers navigate our wedding ceremony events.

The organist and carrillonieur (bell player) were both amazing. Having an active life and career in music, I knew the one thing that required perfection for my wedding was music. And it was just that...perfect!

The Washington Memorial Chapel delivered everything that makes a special wedding ceremony. I'm thankful for their testimony to our guests. My husband and I are truly blessed to have had this setting for our first moments as husband and wife.

    Kind and caring venue

The Washington Memorial Chapel is a beautiful wedding venue and Michelle Kennedy is an extremely helpful coordinator. Michelle was flexible, quick to respond to questions, and very detailed. We had several calls with her to plan everything, she was even helpful with the music selection for our ceremony! We booked the chapel for our spring 2021 wedding before the Covid-19 pandemic, and in January 2021 we made the difficult decision to move our ceremony and reception to an outdoor venue because of the current state restrictions. Michelle could not have been kinder to us even after this difficult decision. Other vendors were rude and difficult to work with as we were in the process of changing our wedding, but Michelle was supportive and kind.
We know our ceremony would have been beautiful and Michelle would have made the day very smooth and efficient. We highly recommend the Chapel to future brides and would have loved to have our ceremony here if the circumstances had been different with Covid-19.

Growing up around Valley Forge Park, I have always wanted to get married in the chapel. After meeting with Michelle, this is now becoming a reality. She gave my fiance and me a tour of everything and made us so excited to have our ceremony here! She is confident in her ability to manage everything and you can tell that no detail is overlooked by her. She is very friendly and willing to work with you on any questions you may have. She mentioned that she used to be in the Navy and this is apparent in her scheduling ability - she was able to give us a tour right after a wedding had finished and still was able to check in on the bride and groom while they were finishing up their pictures!

My ceremony was at Washington Memorial Chapel. The church is beautiful and everything went well. The organist was wonderful and I loved our Priest (Father Almquist). A little on the pricy side and not a huge amount of flexability, but overall really good.

    The location is beautiful

I had a lot of problems with the events coordinator from basically the beginning (2years ago). Having to send her all of our information literally 5 times and remind her what day and time our wedding was several times because she forgot to put us on the calendar. Then one week before our wedding she calls to tell me she got to the church and they decided to replace the roof so I would have scaffolding and an orange fence in front of the church I paid $3,000 to be married in! I cried my eyes out at work. The pastor that married us was unbelievable and we loved him! It was just a nightmare trying to work with the events coordinator.

The chapel is one of the most beautiful places of worship I have ever been to. The pictures we have gotten back from our wedding include breathtaking images of the stone and wood craftsmanship around the alter. All these things considered, the cost to use the space was a significant expense, especially considering how short our ceremony was (20 minutes). I also didn't feel like the event coordinator was especially organized which got frustrating at times. They also have limited flexibility with decor and music, but that is mostly due to the historical and religious preservation of the space.

The Chapel is absolutely wonderful! It is beautiful and historic. I fell in love with it the moment I stepped inside. The BIG problem with the chapel is the event coordinator Michelle. She is terrible! The woman is extremely unprofessional and rude! She asked is to provide a list of entrance during precessional then the day of our rehearsal changed everything I, the bride, had planned. She does not listen at all and spoke down to me. On the day of my wedding she was coordinating in jeans and a T-shirt. Family and friends also told us she was cussing in the back of the chapel during our ceremony! The chapel itself is gorgeous and I just love it so very much but their coordinator needs to either pull herself together or should just go! She was pushy, rude and completely unprofessional. Our sexton was fabulous. Again the only reason for the low review is the event coordinator, otherwise the chapel is a Gem! Loved the location although I did not use their clergy I brought my own extra (FYI). They like to control many aspects of the wedding but even with the terrible coordinator, my husband and I are so happy to have gotten married at the Chapel and hope that others choose to as well just be careful of the coordinator and tell her to lose the jeans and dirty mouth the day of your wedding!

Disaster as a result of one woman who showed up day of wedding

This Chapel is incredible and magical. We chose to marry our daughter here because of its historical meaning and the beauty that I have known all my life. Father Tommy was wonderful and answered all our questions leading up to the ceremony. The ceremony was to be 30 minutes long and as we practiced during rehearsal. The groom and his groomsmen along with Father Tommy were to come out to the alter after the guests were seated. When the bridesmaids and the bride saw the men standing at the alter they were to push a button to alert the organist to start the music. That would be the que for the bridal party to precede down the aisle so that the groom could witness all the bridesmaids followed by his beautiful bride.
This was going to be a magical and breathtaking day that my daughter planned almost 2 years for. We knew exactly what to do and were preparing for her glorious wedding day!!! Unfortunately the day of our daughter's wedding, Father Tommy's assistant showed up and we had not seen her at rehearsal. She was rude and very pushing. She COMPLETELY changed what we had rehearsed the night before. She was in the back with the bridesmaids and my daughter. She instructed the bridesmaids to “go go go” walk up the isle before the groomsmen were at the alter!!! The bridesmaids walked up to an EMPTY ALTER with no music!!! Yes, NO music , no groomsmen, no groom!! This woman completely changed our rehearsal and ultimately changed the wedding that we so excitedly anticipated. The groom did not see any of the girls with their beautiful gowns and flowers, all he saw was his bride and this in my opinion was disaster . This woman should not have been involved in the day of ceremony. The actual wedding was 20 mins long because the bridesmaids were at the alter before the groomsmen came out!!! My strong suggestion to you is that if you're planning a wedding at this amazing chapel make sure the assistant stays home!!!
Not to mention this 20 min ceremony cost $3000!!
    This was a total disaster!
