What a place! We chose George Ranch for the historic look and charm we felt when we saw it. The place itsself helped bring my daughter’s vision to life. Chris Reyes was absolutely amazing to work with… flexible, helpful, responsive, and kind. This isn’t our first wedding, my second daughter to get married, and having worked with other vendors, I can tell you this place is top notch. We would pick this place all over again. -

Old money!
I got married at George Ranch and I absolutely loved it. The chapel is beautiful and was perfect for the indoor intimate ceremony I wanted. The outside part they have helped make my photos magical and the reception hall was absolutely stunning. It had a stage, area for a sound system set up, windows for natural light to come in, etc. Chris Reyes was so helpful in helping my dream wedding come true. I’m so grateful God helped us discover such a gem for my perfect wedding. -

Chris Reyes and the George Ranch were a pleasure to work with. Any ideas that I had for my wedding, they were willing to do/try. Their recommended vendors were excellent. The day came together perfectly! If there were any problems I had no idea about them thanks to Chris! We used the Guy Lodge Hall which was a perfect building for the size of wedding we had. The ranch was beautiful and we got lots of compliments on choosing this location. -

I really love this place and it could have gone badly and I would still have loved the entire experience. The Chapel is so quaint and special. The ringing of the bell brought some nostalgia to a simpler time. Then Guy Hall did not disappoint with the lights and the overall look and feel. The old dance hall atmosphere and rustic look was absolutely perfect. it was far more than I could have ever hoped for! Chris was just amazing to work with. He was such a great planner. Gave tips, great communication, exceptionally responsive and overall just an absolute pleasure to work with - I cannot say enough positive things about the entire process. This is the place you want to book! You will not be disappointed! -

I got the chapel/bridal suite package.
The bridal suite was AMAZING with a modern lighted mirror, lots of counter space and plenty of outlets as well as a very modern shower and bathroom. My makeup artist/hair stylist found it to be absolutely perfect for her needs. It was so much easier getting ready there rather than doing it all at home. It was a perfect retreat for my mom and maid of honor, too!
As for the chapel, it was STUNNING! It's beautiful on its own, but with a little touch of a floral arch, simple pew decorations, and a runner, it looked perfect. No need to overspend on decorating unless you want to.
We had a small wedding so this was perfect in size. It has 16 small pews and could probably fit at least 65 people comfortably.
The chapel also has a REAL bell and we had a special someone pull it when we left the chapel. (I mean....really....how many places can offer that?!?)
There is a beautiful grassy courtyard for brides and grooms to receive their guests outside as well as a large gazebo. Beautiful scenic southern oaks with vintage buildings in the background also offer many photo ops.
Overall, it was a wonderful and magical experience for us. It was the wedding we've always wanted. We are so very grateful we chose the George Ranch Historical Park as our wedding venue! It was totally worth it.

Where do I even begin? If you grew up in the Fort Bend area, you likely visited the George Ranch in 4th grade. I never imagined I would have my wedding here. We looked at a few venues around the Sugar Land/Houston area- all costing a fortune with no real benefits. We thought we'd see about the George Ranch... upon meeting David we were hooked right away. He was so kind and didn't feed us any BS- straight to the point & took care of all our questions and needs. The cost couldn't be beat. David's vendors were phenomenal- from the food to the music! As the planning steered more into decor and other fun stuff, we were introduced to the coordinator Chris. He is the BEST. Just like David in that he was also very responsive and took care of everything. Everything I asked for, Chris was right on it. Sending lots of pictures of table settings and ideas. He has such a great eye for decorating and making your visions come true... actually he surpassed my visions. I saw the hall fully decorated when we arrived the day of the wedding after our church ceremony and about cried- it was more beautiful than I could have dreamed. Chris went above and beyond, the hall was gorgeous. The charm of the historic hall really gave our reception that extra special touch. Our guests had nothing but nice things to say- everything from the decor, the food, the bar, and atmosphere was fantastic. David was in attendance and danced with us, while Chris buzzed around making sure everything was perfect and that we always had a drink in our hand. We can never thank David & Chris enough for everything they did to make our wedding so wonderful; they have both really become part of our family. If you're looking for a venue that will genuinely care about you and what you want for your wedding, I highly recommend booking the George Ranch. We wish we could relive that day 100 times over!! -

The second I stepped foot on George Ranch Historical Park, I knew it would be the perfect venue for us. They offer an all-inclusive package that literally has everything and anything you could possibly want for your wedding. We decided to use some of our own vendors, for example we hired a pizza food truck, and the workers at George Ranch were so easy to work with and beyond accommodating to our requests. I have to give a special shout out to Chris; he decorated the chapel and reception hall for us and was so easy to talk to and work with. He let us make any changes we wanted, and his wife even helped put together flower bouquets for us. After our small private ceremony Chris drove us around the park with our photographer to get some special shots at the historical sites. Then during the reception, he was actively ensuring everything went to plan and on schedule.
I loved our wedding and George Ranch made our dreams come true. -

If you're interested in getting married at George Ranch then you need to contact David. He is very professional and was very receptive to our wants and needs for our special day. There is a Gazebo if you want an outdoor wedding ceremony, or a Chapel if you want an indoor wedding ceremony. David was kind enough to set up both options for us so if the weather was clear we could have gotten married in the Gazebo, but since it rained we were able to get married in the Chapel. For the reception there is an indoor location, or there is also an outdoor covered pavilion that we chose to use instead. George Ranch also has multiple places for wedding photos on location (both indoors and outdoors). George Ranch is also located in a low traffic and quiet area where you can enjoy your wedding with family and friends. George Ranch is also VERY AFFORDABLE and depending on your wants and needs David can work up a price that is good for you. We chose our own catering service for food, but David does have connections to catering services to get all your meals ready for your big day. Lastly, we chose George Ranch for our wedding instead of Galveston and a bunch of restaurants and banquet halls around Houston. George Ranch is a spot you can definitely enjoy your big day. Photo spots : Gazebo, Chapel, Pavilion, Fields with flowers, Houses, Tree House, Flower Areas, Paths & Walkways, and a bunch of other places we didn't even use. Time: Early morning, mid-day, or late afternoon. Parking: Huge parking lot fits easily over 100 cars and maybe even 200-250. Price: About 1/4 of the price everywhere else was going to charge us. We did have a small wedding and did own own catering. I think the venue for 4 hours was about $600 and then we did our own catering for about $600 also. Lastly, David didn't tell us no a single time. He was very accommodating to our wants and needs. The answer was always yes he could do it. -

George Ranch is the perfect venue that met all of our wishes for our wedding! It’s far enough in the country, but close enough to the city. The drive is easy and you don’t have to worry about taking winding back country roads to get to it. The property is breathtaking with trees that are older than Texas. The historical buildings are amazing and well taken care of. With those two combined you hardly need to decorate or do much to make it look good, which saved us from a lot of extra money and work. It’s also a HUGE property that has an endless amount of places to get amazing photos. Ashley the event coordinator was such a joy to work with. She is so calm and sweet and that really helped while planning an event that is notorious for being stressful haha. If my husband and I were to do it all over again, we would 100% go with George Ranch. It’s almost been a year now since the wedding and people are still raving about the place! It was seriously a dream come true. -

I don’t even know where to start expressing my love of this venue and for Ashley. The pictures on the internet do not to the chapel and the grounds justice. We fell in love the moment we first showed up to view the property- it was the first venue we toured and we immediately knew we didn’t need to tour any others- that this was the perfect place for us. From the beginning I felt like Ashley understood my wedding vision and was always on the same wavelength even sometimes ahead of me reading my mind. She was the saving grace for my anxiety and if I ever felt overwhelmed or had a 1000 questions/thoughts she always immediately calmed me down and made me feel so reassured and at ease. I trusted her the whole process and let me tell you when I say our wedding day was perfect because of her - it was perfect because of her. Every little detail was so beautiful. She brought my ideas, thoughts and Pinterest pictures to life. There literally wasn’t a single thing I would have changed after the fact. It brought tears to my eyes once the wedding ended because it was the wedding of my dreams. Ashley felt like a friend not just our wedding planner.
If you see this Ashley we love you and can’t thank you enough!!! -

I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed planning my wedding with Ashley at the George Ranch. She helped make my wedding planning so much fun and stress free! She went above and beyond to make sure our special day was excellent and exactly what I had envisioned! Every bride needs Ashley! Her staff is amazing as well and so much fun to work with. I will forever love this venue and recommend to anyone looking for a place to get married! Or host any kind of event! Thank you again Ashley and George Ranch!

Our spectacular wedding.
Two words: Natosha Dickerson (soon to be a bride herself, so I’m not sure of her married name). She was my wedding coordinator responsible for our flawless wedding that we held at the Guy Lodge Hall in the South Yard at George Ranch Historical Park. This woman is an extremely talented and sharp professional. From the beginning, from the first phone call, she was warm and extremely helpful all the way until the end. She is always cheerful and on top of everything, she never forgets anything, nothing makes it past her without her knowledge. She makes the George Ranch Historical Park look incredibly amazing. It was an honor to work with her and have our wedding held in this little slice of history. It was basically the wedding of my dreams. It has been two weeks since our wedding day, and we are still basking in the glow of the fond memories we made there. The entire time we were working together with Natosha, I was thinking, “How can two plain civilians plan a large scale event? Something will go wrong if not everything would go wrong.” But nope, I was amazed at how easily it fell together with Natosha’s help! She didn’t seem worried whatsoever during the entire planning process but I was over here just trying to be cautiously optimistic, and she was at ease for good reason. No hitches, no missteps, just a stellar time surrounded by our friends and family! The George Ranch has very competitive pricing, and upgrading something was no big deal as we wanted to upgrade the bar as we approached our wedding date. They provided an insanely great DJ (DJ Tom), uplighting, delicious food by Schultze’s, friendly, professional staff who made our night a dream, and unforgettable memories. A huge thank you to George Ranch for providing the gorgeous atmosphere and to Natosha for providing smooth guidance throughout the process! -

We booked the gorgeous wood church for our wedding ceremony on a Saturday morning. To ensure we had the area all to ourselves, they do not book any of the other buildings during our time - that's really special because they are basically agreeing to forgo possible income to make you the focus!
They were also open to us changing our minds between the gazebo, to the church, to back and forth between inside and out because nothing else was booked.
The event team was wonderful and very responsive to my multiple requests to come out to measure, walk my coordinator through the ceremony, walk my photographer through the site, and random other visits needed to plan out the perfect wedding.
On the day of the event, the event staff were there in the shadows ready to help if need be but thankfully it all went off without a hitch so they weren't needed.
Overall the location was beautiful and the staff made it all a pleasant experience both leading up to the special day and on the wedding day itself.
I cannot recommend GRHP enough, you won't be disappointed choosing them! -

Great Venue!
We held our wedding ceremony in the Beasley Chapel and loved the venue. It’s simple yet beautiful and turned out exactly as we’d hoped. We had around 50 guests, and the chapel was the perfect setting to not feel overwhelmed by the building size. It certainly would easily accommodate larger numbers though. Natosha and the other staff were a pleasure to work with and helped everything run smoothly. Overall, this is a budget-friendly wedding venue with a beautiful backdrop and friendly, helpful staff. I’d highly recommend it. -

The rest of the team was always willing to jump in and help in all aspects of the planning process, the rehearsal dinner and the actual day of. The venue was simply beautiful, amazing, affordable and perfect. Anything a couple would want in a team and venue, George Ranch has. A lot of venues offer "cookie cutter" weddings, but George Ranch allows you to have your own wedding in your own way, which we loved. Thank you so much for all you did for us...we couldn't have asked for anything better! -

Mother of the Bride
We held our daughter’s wedding reception at George Ranch and it was beautiful. The grounds were gorgeous in November and the care to detail was fabulous. Every element of the plan was executed and the vendors and staff were so friendly and supportive. Lots of positive comments and compliments were heard from those who attended. Chris was easy to work with and went out of his way to make sure our vision was reached. -

Theresa Sent on 06/04/2014George Ranch is a wonderful venue, it is really country and simple. Everything is included with this venue except the officiant, flowers, photographer and decorations. The only bad think I would say is you only get the venue for 4 hours which I felt like wasn't enough time I felt rushed to leave the place. Other than that the venue and feel of the place was amazing! -

David Comerota was very rude, dry, and unprofessional throughout the wedding planning experience. Talked down to me, complained repetitively, didn’t document everything and therefore messed up my wedding rehearsal, and lastly doesn’t answer calls. However Chris Reyes was highly helpful and responsive! -

User725158 Sent on 01/18/2012Coordinator was rude, she told me I was only allowed 2 hours of photography, tried to send in the bridesmaids and bride before the groomsmen and groom. Didnt put out a knife to cut the cake, and then lied about our cake platter being thrown away.
