Fantastic photographer!

George is a great wedding/engagement photographer

George and his assistant were both awesome. George threw in engagement photos with our wedding package and turned them around to us within 3 days. For the wedding photos, he gave us a "sneak peak" of about 60 photos within 24 hours which all looked fantastic!

George is extremely kind and was a great guy that set us at ease for our engagement/wedding photos. He is very creative in thinking of poses, settings, and backgrounds that were flattering and complimented us. George and his assistant also worked well with the videography team, and they were able to bounce ideas off of each other well.

We also have a large extended family and George patiently took 25+ different photos of all the various permutations of family members, something that was very important to us. He was also very affordable, gave us a winter discount, and took/edited great looking photos for us. If we were to do our wedding all over again, we'd definitely pick George again!

George is amazing!!!

George is an amazing photographer and human being. He truly is one of the best and shows, through his work, attitude, and personality. He makes you feel comfortable and confident. And the photos are amazing! The session was fun and such a great experience. 10/10 would recommend every time!
George has so much experience, so it was really helpful that he knew who all the vendors were and had already photographed many weddings at our venue. He knew just where the perfect spots were for photographs.
My favorite part was the pre wedding session because it got us used to getting our picture taken before the big day. It was so much fun! George also does an amazing signature print for your guests to sign the day of the wedding. We got so many compliments and it’s something I’ll cherish forever.

The best time!

George and Miguel really made the wedding so much more fun! Their energy was immaculate. I wasn’t even stressed because I knew we were in good hands. Well Worth The Wait

From a very unexpectedly chilly engagement photoshoot down to a truly magical night of opal skies and midcentury architecture, working with George was a dream. We had to wait a very long time between booking and actually having our big day, but George was there every step of the way. Passionate Professional

George took both our engagement and wedding photos. He was very professional, flexible and easy to work with despite several rescheduled wedding dates due to the pandemic. On our wedding day he impressively learned everyone's names which made setting up group shots more efficient. He and his assistant Miguel made a great team and their love for the art of photography was apparent. George got so many good shots that it's been hard to choose which ones to print! The thumb drive containing all of our photos even came in a cool little wooden box with several prints that we weren't expecting. Best photographer out there!

George is the best photographer out there. I met him June 2019 because he shot my friends wedding. After seeing him in action I knew I wanted him by my side on our big day.
George was there for us every step of the way. Like most "COVID couples" my husband and I decided to downsize our wedding from 140 people to 30. George was flexible and willing to work with us as we mapped out our backup plan.
We live out of state, which added to the difficulty of planning, but George met me in downtown Albany a few days before the wedding to go over locations for photos and ceremony. George didn't have to do this on his own time, but he wanted to make sure we got the pictures we wanted on our wedding day. I really appreciated this. And let me tell you: George has a special eye. He sees things others may not see - and the photos came out beautifully.
George (and Miguel) are true professionals. They arrived early, introduced themselves to our families, and then got to work. They became part of our family. The photos they captured will live in our hearts forever.
Communicating with George was easy. He was responsive with emails and phone calls.

Beautiful photos!

George was professional, punctual and pleasant to work with. He was able to work with all members of our party well, including a couple toddlers, a baby and 3 dogs. Our family has a family photo taken each year, and George is our best photographer yet. There were no heavy sighs and groans from my family because things took so long. Instead, the photo shoot was efficient and yet thorough. The best, and most important part, though, is the photos were beautiful!!! I highly recommend using George for your next photo shoot.

I have the advantage of working with George 10 years ago when he was the photographer for my aunt's wedding - the one solo picture in my bridesmaid’s dress at the time was my most-liked profile picture on Facebook!
George is a great person and a talented photographer- he did an amazing job with our engagement shoot and had ideas that were incredible to see executed. He went out of his way while on vacation to take a FaceTime call with me and my mom to answer a few questions that we had.
George and his assistant Miguel were great to work with on the day of our wedding! All of the sneak peak pictures we’ve received are great quality, and we’ve received a ton of compliments on them! There is a reason George won a Couples Choice Award for Wedding Wire in 2020.

I can not say enough good things about George and Jeff. George was the first photographer we met at a wedding show, and from then on, he was our favorite contact. From the very beginning, he made sure my husband and I were comfortable not only with him, but also in front of the camera. My husband is not a particularly photogenic person, but you would never know it from the photos - George made them look SO natural. His responsiveness to my many emails, as well as punctuality on the day of the wedding, was spot-on. And his teammate Jeff was the best hype man for all of our photos! George was able to capture our love and happiness in a way that I couldn't even imagine, and it shows in all of the photos. I cannot recommend them enough.

June Microwedding

Due to Covid-19 we had to postpone our big reception and ceremony but still decided to get married on June 20,2020 in an intimate family only ceremony and reception. George was absolutely amazing as a one man team in the heat capturing all of our special moments, including some amazing candids! He went above and beyond in the summer sun and truly captured the feel and joy of our very special day with some absolutely spectacular shots! Phenomenon

My husband and I are not picture people. We have never had pictures taken before and never even thought of it. But when getting married pictures are not an option to neglect. Just book george!

George was fantastic! Not just at capturing some of the most beautiful winter wedding photos out in the snow, but also creative, fun and artsy photos throughout the day. He was also the exact photographer I needed emotionally to keep the day going; there is so more to a photographer than just the pictures they take I learned thru this process. Their personality and dedication to YOU the customer is also a necessity, and George is the type of photographer who won't think twice about going above and beyond for you. George's skill and ability to capture nature and weather I learned after booking him is renowned around the Capital Region, and his pictures reflected that. Words cant describe how gorgeous his pictures are, we went to a horse farm and he captured some indescribable moments on film. George was easy to talk to, easy to contact and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. I'd like to note that I legit made George an honorary bridesmaid as he was just involved in the day as my bridesmaids were. He was voluntarily doing WAY more than a photographer should to help us along as we were getting ready. When I went into periods of stress and panic, he was right there finding bobby pins, he helped with putting on my jewelry, helped with the veil, and was keeping everyone calm and guiding the bridesmaids to what needed to be done next when I needed it the most, you could really tell he had been thru this many times (I hugged him easily 4-5 times in gratitude for stepping in beyond any photographer's regular duty). George and his assistant Miguel were also SO fun to have at the wedding! They got guests up and moving! They took selfies with them to make people smile, feel included and help them have a great time. He wasn't awkwardly taking pictures of the day from he edge of the room, he was in the moment with every guest so the pictures were natural and fun! Several guests actually told me how much fun they thought the photographers were. George is also creative. My husband and I love hockey, so, George surprised us and brought his own hockey sticks in for us to take some cool hockey themed wedding pictures, great idea!!!! George's pictures were outstanding, fun and creative, from our engagement session to even sticking around a little bit after our reception was over. We were so blessed to have George be a part of our day. I would chose him 100 more times if I could!

George Laing went above and beyond for all things related to our wedding. First off, George does not one but TWO engagement photo shoots, that way on your big day you are already comfortable with him and know what he is looking for so your photos look flawless. Our first engagement shoot, George agreed to our grandiose idea of going to Lake Placid so my husband and I could take our photos on the 1980s ice rink. George not only showed up early the morning of the shoot (mind you he traveled from Albany!) but he was excited and brought great energy making Rob and I feel confident and excited. For what could easily be an uncomfortable process, he made fun and the photos reflect just that. Our second shoot was more romantic and elegant in nature and George did not disappoint. George has great ideas, impeccable vision, and is good at giving directions that are easy to understand while shooting. It is important to note that he turned our second engagement shoot photos around in ONE day so we could use the photos the day of the wedding. Communication with George was easy and he always returned emails or texts promptly.

The day of the wedding George and his assistant Miguel were nothing short of amazing. George came to the hotel earlier in the day so he could could get shots of my girls and I getting ready. George joins in the fun and goes with the flow of the day, if we're laughing or dancing, so is he, while he takes AMAZING photos. I call him the photo ninja, because he has a way of taking photos when you didn't even know he did which produces real life photos. George continued with his amazing vision and ability to set up an impeccable photos throughout the day of the wedding. Again, he took charge when necessary to make our family photos run smoothly and timely. He also went above and beyond assisting my wedding planner when my brother in law's wheelchair broke. George is a caring person and he loves what he does which reflects in his work.

Photography was probably the most important piece of my wedding planning because I knew I would want these photos in my house for a lifetime. I had met with countless photographers and found the ease of conversation with George and great pricing options to be just the right fit. So many of my family members and guests complimented me on my choice of working with George by picking up on his skill, eye for detail, and posing. George takes the time to be concerned with that branch that’s on the grass that should he not remove it may draw your eye in the photo. He was always moving, paying attention to details and lighting making you feel like your pictures matter as much to him as they do to you. Depending on your wedding experience, you may or may not realize how much the photographer helps drive your timeline too. George was there a little after 9 when I started getting ready all the way to the sparkler send off at the end and was a great help with keeping us on time when we needed to without pressuring or rushing us. Without a doubt, if I had to plan my wedding all over again I would choose George in a heartbeat.

My biggest fear of something to go wrong on my wedding day? Not having a single good wedding photo. So finding the best photographer to capture my day was the most important thing to me. From the moment I saw George's photos displayed at a bridal show, I knew I didn't need to look any further. George was wonderful to work with. From the first pre-wedding shoot we had, to a year later when we did our second shoot, to then of course the special day he was excellent. He kept everything on a schedule but never making us feel rushed. He was always timely in delivering our images following a shoot. The day of he was delightful, he was so excited to capture our big day. His assistant, Miguel, was also wonderful. George and Miguel were so great at capturing the little ones (we had two 2 year olds and a 4 year old) attentions, making sure we were getting the perfect shot. George met with us and because of our limited finances, was able to make a package up for us that was agreeable to everyone. He did a great job for our engagement shoot and was then willing to go to Cape Cod for our wedding. He and his associate Miguel were absolutely wonderful working with the groomsmen and bridesmaids, and the pictures they thought of, set up, and were willing to take went beyond what my wife and I expected. He was wonderful to work with and I would recommend him to anyone.

I used Georege as the photographer for my wedding and it was an amazing experience. From our engagement photos to our wedding photos, George was nothing but the best and took gorgeous photos. He is professional, answered emails in a timely manner and made it so there was no stress on my weding day. The pictures he took were perfect and he knew how to make me feel comfortable. He was with us from 1130 in the morning until our wedding ended at 9pm and he never stopped taking pictures the whole day. If anyone is looking for photographers that make everyone feel comfortable and confident, that comes up with the greatest poses/backdrops, and that is able to easily adjust when weather/timeline changes then george and migel are your guys! I couldn't have asked for a better duo to take photos at our wedding. George was patient, humble and gave great directions to help make some amazing photos. They make a great team and made the weddig process incredibly easy. Words can not describe how much we loved George! He was always there to answer questions when needed. George was very out going, fun and easy to work with.
From the very first time we met George we knew he was the perfect fit for our special day!
For our first photo shoot, he traveled all the way to Washington County to take pictures at our home with our dog and at my sisters farm. He knew exactly what pictures would look the best. Kevin was very photo shy, he knew exactly what to say to make him smile!
Our final photo shoot before our big day we went to Crandall Pond. Kevin and I felt even more comfortable with him! The photos that he took that day were amazing!
Then our big day was here! George knew exactly where to get pictures. He even kept me calm throughout the weather, always telling me we will get pictures outside!! Miguel worked with the guys, he was very fun, easy going and made the guys smile!
Overall, knowing the wedding industry, and being the center of attention George did an amazing job keeping both of us calm and always found places around the resort to take amazing pictures. To getting in the bushes to laying on the ground to capture that intimate moment! We love you George and can't thank you enough! We would highly recommend George to a future wedding couple!!

What I loved about George was his personality. He was always willing to try something different that I suggested to make our photos unique and true to us as a couple. George was easy to work with, and we felt that his pricing was very reasonable for the services rendered and the amount of time he spent shooting. It was pouring rain on our wedding day, and I was so sad that we wouldn't get pictures of the lovely fall foliage, but George heard my concerns and made it work. We absolutely loved working with George Laing. We discovered him through the Adirondack Albany Wedding Association. He is one of the best photographers to work with and worth every penny - every review is on point! We met up with him before our wedding day to practice in front of the camera and get comfortable (a free session by the way)... the timing of these photos were perfect because we used them for our holiday card and Save-the-Dates. George is very easy to get a hold of and responds quickly, via phone or email. He has a great personality and never once made me feel like I was posing for an elementary school photo - each photo felt natural and came out looking just that. His assistant Miguel was really great too! Both of them have great personalities that worked with my family and friends well. George took my photo requests prior to wedding day and was able to capture them all, even the candid ones that we came up with on wedding day. There were three things most important to us on our wedding day: the venue/location, the DJ, and the photographer. Other than that, we really didn't know much about the planning process except what I learned from Pinterest and wedding books that friends passed my way. In the end, it didn't matter because George Laing is so experienced and he walks wedding couples through everything! He was so approachable, I was never afraid to ask questions and get the ball rolling. If the photographer is an important piece for your big day, book with George Laing! You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I couldn't be happier with the service George provided. He had top of the line gear and very prompt showing up to the locations we chose. My husband and I are so thrilled that we were able to work with George. He made us both feel extremely comfortable and at ease on our wedding day. He arrived at 10:30 am when the bridal party started getting ready and stayed until the very last song of the reception. In the many weddings I've attended, I have never seen a photographer stay until the very end of the wedding. We are so happy that he was able to capture all of our guests out on the dance floor! We are SO HAPPY that we chose George as our wedding photographer! George Laing did an amazing job at our wedding! He was so kind to come up to my house in Lake George to do engagement sessions before hand. He delivers quality service, and is very flexible. I interviewed over 13 photographers before I picked George. He comes for your entire wedding day and brings a second shooter. Most photographers have limited time and you have to pay extra for another photographer as well as specific hours. Our friends and family are from all over the country and are in love with our photos! We love George!!

We met George at a wedding show and knew right away he was "the one" :) His mix of great personality, experience, professionalism, quality and genuine enthusiasm was exactly what we needed! He met with us twice (in only a 4 month period!) which gave us some great engagement photos and a chance for him to get to know us. George is an EXCELLENT choice for wedding photography. Not only is he an excellent photographer, but he is a genuinely nice person which alleviates a lot of stress and cause for concern on the big day. George is in constant communication to ensure that what he give you is what you are looking for. George can be summed up in one word..PHENOMENAL!!!! His creativity, passion, and professionalism is unlike any one else i have ever met. My husband and I are so glad we booked George (and Miguel) for our wedding! George offers THREE total photo sessions, which helped us to feel more comfortable in front of the camera than we ever thought we would. We love so many of our photos from our engagement and signature sessions and we cannot wait to see our final photo album from the day of our wedding! The value you receive when you let George capture the amazing moments leading up to your special day is worth every single penny and more! Booking George (and Miguel) for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Their professionalism and photography knowledge were surpassed only by their amazing personalities and dedication to getting THE shot. From laying in the dirt, to crawling on rocks, and crouching on the dance floor, I did not have to worry for one second about whether or not each and every moment of our day would be captured. George and Miguel were such a pleasure to work with, and I was continuously amazed by the creativity that went into their shots. I cannot say enough good things about our spectacular photographers. They were perfection.

We had a great time with George as our photographer for our wedding. We met two times prior to our wedding for "get to know you" sessions and these were fun times we had just playing around while getting beautiful photos! He really knows how to capture the right light and be at the right place to get the best photos. When it came to our wedding day, he didn't meet our families yet, but he quickly learned everyone's names and our families really were impressed by that, very professional! He brought a second photographer Will with him and he was just as much fun, capturing just as many candid photos as George got at the reception. We highly recommend George to anyone!

George provides a terrific service at a great value. I met George at a wedding show at the Franklin Plaza and was immediately drawn to his beautiful photographs. We chose George because he is extremely friendly and he provides so many services at such a great value. We loved our pre-wedding shoot. It was a great way to practice taking photos before the wedding. George made us feel relaxed and also was sensitive to my husband's hesitancy to take a lot of photos! Because of the pre-wedding shoot, we were much more relaxed, and we didn't need as much direction in our posing on the wedding day (a great time-saver on a very rushed day)! George provided us with a 'signature shot' from our photo shoot, which we were able to display and have signed by our guests. On the wedding day, George and his assistant Miguel was very generous with their time and framed perfect photos. We had a huge wedding party, and they kept everyone focused, captured every shot we wanted and were super aware of our time schedule. Before our first look, George worked with the girls while Miguel took the boys to take individual and group shots; this was extremely helpful in cutting down the amount of time to take pictures and kept everyone relaxed (the boys even had to time to head to the bar before the ceremony!). Once the reception had started, George was everywhere we wanted him to be, but was also very subtle in taking his photos. He also kept us on task so that we captured beautiful sunset photos. Our "sneak-peak" arrived just a few short days after the wedding and the pictures are beautiful! I have had several people ask me if we used back-drops in some of our photos because of how gorgeous George's backgrounds are. I would highly recommend his service to anyone. We cannot wait to see the rest of our photos!

My husband and I got married on 2/28/15 and George was our wedding photographer. Let me tell you that booking George was one of the best decisions of our wedding planning process. George was more than a photographer, he helped with coordination, timelines and he has the ability to make you feel like you are his only clients. Ladies, he will make you look and feel stunning! If you are reading this to see if you should schedule a meet and greet and or book him, DO IT! George offers 2 engagement photo sessions. We used one at a local park that had meaning to us and we had several areas to use as backdrops which gave us a variety of photos. George had such a good eye for “the shot” and did so effortlessly. We would be thinking what is he doing and then he would show us a glimpse on his camera screen and we would think WOW that is amazing. The second engagement photo session we took George to Gore Mountain. My husband and I are snowboard and ski instructors at Gore Mountain and we wanted to take photos there. Not only was George all for it, but he got on a set of skis, followed us around the mountain and took breath taking shots! George goes above and beyond! On the wedding day, George was there from getting ready in the morning all the way until the lights turned on at the venue at the end of the evening. George and Miguel his assistant that day captured the essence of our wedding day. At times, George and Miguel blended right in and let us enjoy our day. George and Miguel captured our “first look”, the mandatory formal shots, the candid shots, the fun dancing shots and most importantly the shots that look like they could be out of a bridal magazine (to die for). look on George Laing’s facebook page our wedding was on 2/28/15 at Franklin Plaza. What you will find about George is that his photography is so amazing because he is passionate about photography. He is the best of the best, has the awards and reputation to show for it, but he also cares! I’m serious book him!

George and his assistant Miguel provided excellent service the day of our wedding! Great to work with and very affordable. George took one of the prettiest wedding pictures I have ever seen and am SO happy with his work. He also provided a 'get to know you' photo session prior to our wedding and those photos came out great as well!!

Choosing George Laing as our photographer was by far one of the best wedding decisions we made. Not only were his photos beautiful, unique, and captivating, but he also provided high quality service and great advice from day one. We met with George two different times before the wedding to do engagement photos and review details. Both times he was extremely friendly and helpful, and we were able to build a relationship with him before the wedding.

On the day of the wedding, he arrived a few hours before the ceremony and stayed late at the reception. He never rushed or pressured us for more photographs; he respected our time and commitments yet took incredible photos of every moment throughout the day. Our guests even commented on how George and his assistant were able to capture photos professionally and discreetly, without distracting from the action. All in all, we were extremely pleased with George Laing's photography service. We recommend him to every bride and groom looking for a photographer!

We were so impressed with George's professionalism, eye with the camera and humor. From our first meeting through our final shot at our wedding we were blown away. There was no stress at all with working with him. He was incredibly timely with answering questions and emails, went above in beyond with not one but TWO engagement photo sessions, brought a lovely matted photo so people could sign as a keepsake, and was well received by all of our guests. We could not have picked a better photographer for our wedding and we will have memories to cherish for a lifetime. You cannot go wrong with George! I would highly recommend him for all of your photography needs both big and small. THANKS George for such a memorable experience!

From beginning to end, George was absolutely amazing. He captured so many amazing shots and memories. My husband and I got married two weeks ago and we absolutely loved working with George and Miguel! George showed up at the venue in the morning to take photos of my bridesmaids and me getting ready, and Miguel went to the hotel to photograph the guys. It was pretty chilly during our first look and bridal party photos, so they suggested we leave our sweaters on until right before he was ready to start. He even did a mini first look with my dad and me. Even though the reception didn't end until 1030, both George and Miguel were there until the end. The next day George posted a picture from our wedding and within the next couple days he posted 35-40 more. They all look amazing, and we are so excited to see the rest! George was flexible in scheduling our two sessions prior to the wedding (included in our package), and he was always quick to respond to any emails. He was really creative in getting some special shots including using the candlelight from my centerpieces. George truly cares about the photos he takes and knows what shots will look great even if that means grabbing us off the dance floor to capture them! He has an enthusiastic personality and is really fun to work with. I would highly recommend hiring George to capture your special day!

My husband Michael and I were just married this past weekend. George and his assistant completely exceeded our highest expectations. George showed up bright and early hours before the ceremony started to capture my daughters and I getting ready for the big day! Meanwhile, Miguel was busy photographing my husband and his groomsmen.
I have seen about twenty-five pictures that George and Miguel captured on our special day so far. To say they are extraordinary is an understatement. George worked tirelessly all afternoon and even into the evening so that he could capture every possible picture. Let me just add that he has a very creative style as well. This was demonstrated in the pictures that we've seen so far.

I met George at a wedding expo and the first thing that impressed me about him was the quality of beautiful candid shots he had on display, which is the style we definitely wanted (he had great posed shots as well, of course). The second thing that impressed me was that when I told him about our little known Adirondack venue, he knew exactly where the town was and had no reservations about traveling there. The third thing that convinced me was his pricing, which was very competitive to other photography quotes I had seen.
He proved himself to be worth every penny on the day of the wedding. He, and his assistant Miguel, showed up on time and were very professional, but at the same time were great about joking around and helping us relax and have fun. Best of all, even though it rained all day, he was just more creative with his shots and got some fantastic pictures that we felt really good about.
He was even great with helping us stick to a timeline throughout the day so that we actually got to enjoy the reception.
Hire George for his enthusiasm, his thoughtfulness, and his attention to detail. You'll be glad you did. :-)

If I had to describe George in three words they would be: professional, confident and relaxed. His photos turned out gorgeous and he was so calm and upbeat throughout the entire day, even offering help with things not photo related. After meeting George at a bridal expo, I knew that I wanted him to capture our wedding day moments because of his caring, outgoing and friendly personality. Not only was he flexible (we have a 3 year old so you can only imagine), but he was understanding and followed our leads rather than us only following his. He wanted to hear what we liked and didn't like, and what we wanted - and that is very important. He went above and beyond- came early to the hotel to get some shots of me getting ready, brought an assistant to capture the groomsmen and stayed past our scheduled time to finish off the night on the rooftop at sunset. I have seen only a few photos, but I am absolutely in love with the work that he has done- it's the best wedding gift I could have asked for. Thank you George! Can't wait to do business again... maybe a maternity picture in the future :)
