Wedding Photographer

We got married in June and used Chris and his team for our photography and post-wedding portraits. He was so helpful! When I booked him, I was a bit of a nervous wreck because we had 3 different locations for our wedding. He helped me to feel comfortable knowing they would be able to work with our varied locations and was there to get all of the important moments of the wedding. Additionally, my husband and I are not big picture people; Chris and his assistant were very helpful in keeping us comfortable and giving us direction for great shots. Wedding Photographer

Having the most Beautiful Photographs and Videos of my wedding was my top priority.
These are the memories that you will cherish and have for a lifetime to look back and reflect on.
I was in a wedding 10 years ago that Chris photographed. Seeing his incredible work and high level of professionalism, without a doubt, I knew he was the one.
Chris Genovese and his team at Genovese Studios will make sure you have the perfect wedding photos and films. His work will be there to tell your story. The posed shots are incredible. The pictures of friends, family, and the venue, truly a masterpiece of art…they are simply perfect!

We are truly grateful we choose Genovese Studios to shoot our wedding. We were uneasy at first finding a good photographer but, from the first phone call, Chris was so down to earth, kind, and personable which made us like him right away and his professionalism made us feel happy and confident he was the right choice.
Chris and Vanessa, were an incredibly amazing team and, they made our wedding day so pleasant by their professionalism and respect for all our wishes. They did such a fantastic job capturing so many special moments despite how little direction we gave them. We were impressed with how quickly we got our photos back and very happy with the quality of the photos and the eye and talent they had for capturing the many details that enhanced the photos. We love that we now have such beautiful photos to show our family and friends!

So thankful to Chris and team photographer Vanessa, for their hard work on our wedding day! They are both a true PLEASURE, to work with! They captured such lovely moments, despite a myriad of hurdles, which were all completely out of their control. A memorable day!

Chris and his team were amazing! They were all wonderful and easy to work with! Chris worked with us to design the wedding package we wanted. We received our photos and video in a timely manner and they looked beautiful!
We found Chris on The Knot wedding website, and he immediately replied to our inquiry. The quality of our pictures are stunning and elegant, capturing each moment perfectly. Chris kept in contact with us, providing us reminders and answered any questions or concerns we had. Chris is very down to earth, which was good for us because neither of us are picture people and he made our dreams come to life in his photos. We had a lot of picture requests and Chris accommodated them all.
We also did engagement photos with Chris and we were a bit nervous since neither of us are picture people, but Chris coached us through the photos and people loved our Save the Dates.
We will treasure the photos and video of our special day! Thank you Genovese Studios!

Wonderful photographer, very experienced

Chris and his team were excellent! We loved our engagement photos around Hermann Park and the wedding and reception photos came out stellar! He really was wonderful to work with and his calm personality and energy really was nice on a day that moves so quickly. He is very experienced, professional and very detail-oriented, which we loved. Gorgeous pictures, wonderful team

Chris was a dream to work with! He was responsive over email for months prior to our wedding day and then seemed like he was able to capture every detail. Beautiful and Professional!

Chris has a magical way of making every moment beautiful! Most of the time (during engagements, bridals, and the wedding) I hardly noticed he was there! A True Professional - Amazing Photos

Chris was a true professional from the start. We found him after searching through numerous photographers and his photos certainly stood out. When we reached out to a few photographers he responded without delay and we were able to set up a call to get to know him. We had the misfortune of planning our wedding during the height of COVID, but Chris worked with us in every which way to eliminate any concerns and keep us excited about our shoots (engagement, bridal, and wedding).

When it came to the shoots Chris was so friendly and was happy to take any shots we wanted or to recommend locations, poses, and lighting based on his expertise. At the wedding Chris, and his second shooter were so much fun to work with and captured every moment we could have hoped for - candid, action, and posed. As we expected, the final photos were incredible and will be memories to cherish for a lifetime!

Great photographer

Chris and his team were easy to work with, professional, and beautifully documented our wedding day. We actually used Chris for our engagement photos, my bridal portraits, and our wedding day. From the start he answered all our questions and accommodated our requests. When we had to postponed our wedding due to covid, he was understanding and worked with us to find another date. Beautiful, Timeless Photos at Unbeatable Value (My Best Decision!)

Having a dad who is into photography, I always had a certain idea of what good photography looks like. That is what I saw when I looked at Genovese Studios’ portfolio. The compositions looked clean and intentional and the images, crystal clear. I like the rich but natural color that Chris delivers in his photography. I feel like nowadays it’s easy for anyone to pick up a camera, throw on some filters, and overcharge people for photos. I liked that Chris was formally trained, and I liked his classic and timeless style. Considering that, his prices are excellent value for the quality and expertise received. I liked that he has a bunch of galleries available for viewing, so that I could see consistent quality in how a whole wedding was shot rather than just a few cherry-picked photos. I could not find a photo I didn’t like in his portfolio. Which is why I booked Genovese Studios ASAP! On top of being a great photographer, Chris is a great person to work with. He is friendly, genuine, straightforward, calm, and professional. The customer service did not stop after he got our business. He is very responsive to emails and shares your concerns, taking time to explain things when needed. He was very flexible and understanding with us having to postpone our reception due to COVID-19. He was efficient at group portraits on wedding day. His second shooter was friendly and professional and got good shots as well. Turnaround time was fast. I am so happy with our wedding photos and the moments that were captured. I think the classic images will stand the test of time and someday be a cherished heirloom. I can’t wait to work with Chris again for our wedding reception! Choosing Genovese Studios was one of the best decisions I made wedding planning (and I know my photographer dad is happy, too).

Best Choice for our Wedding!

Chris and his team are awesome and we couldn't be happier with the WHOLE experience! From our very first meeting with him all the way to after the wedding, Chris never skipped a beat. Great communication, super organized and talented! We felt at ease with him knowing we could trust him to capture all of our special moments. Flawless service

We had our wedding this year on October 31st, 2020, and our engagement photos were done last year in 2019. Chris & his team were always there for the perfect shot, and the video that was put together for us is incredible. We were happy with our choice after the engagement photos, but during the wedding it was another level of service. The quality, and professionalism from them was absolutely spectacular. Chris Genovese is a true artist!

Chris Genovese is by far one of the best photographers I have ever worked with. His attention to detail, professionalism, quality of work, and interpersonal skills really set him apart from the rest. While shooting my portrait, I never felt rushed and he listened to my input about settings and camera angles. At the wedding, he and his assistant caught every important moment. His communication with the client was always timely and detailed with all my questions answered. The finished product is exquisite and demonstrates what an exceptional artist he is. Fantastic photographer

Chris with Genovese Studios was a FANTASTIC photographer to work with for our special day! We searched high and low for a photographer because we knew these photos would be all we would have left to remember our special day and we are so glad we found Chris! His photography packages offer everything you could want/need in wedding photos. He was also very willing to work with our budget and creating a package that matched our needs. Exactly what we were looking for!

We hired Genovese Studios to capture our wedding (photo/video) and we couldn't have been more pleased! Chris and his team are so easy to work with and we are in love with their style and final product.

Chris took the time to meet with us and it was very evident he really cared about what our vision was, but more importantly, he took the time to create a relationship with us. This made us feel even more comfortable working with them throughout the wedding festivities.

The process from beginning to end was very enjoyable and clear that Chris and his team have a lot of experience doing this. They captured the love

From engagement shoot to the sparkler send off at the wedding, Chris was an absolutely perfect example of what you look for in a wedding photographer. His portfolio is outstanding, he is communicative and helpful, and has tons of experience and advice. He followed my wife and I all the way up to Colorado to capture our day in the mountains and we are so glad he did. As we repeatedly go through the gallery of photos he put together, we are absolutely struck by the happiness, beauty and special moments that Chris and his coworker captured. Best decision I made for my Wedding!

The most important aspect of our wedding was hiring the best photographer for our special day. Photos last forever and I wanted to always be able to remember our Wedding day. Having Chris as our photographer was the best decision I made. Not only did he go above and beyond for us, but the pictures came out better than I could have ever imagined. Amazing experience!

I could not have been more impressed with Chris! He did an amazing job and was so easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions I had. We used Chris Genovese for our wedding day pictures. I am so happy our wedding planner recommended him! He is down to earth, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He made the process of getting large family photos accomplished easy and quick so we could enjoy the day. It happened to be unexpectedly cold in the afternoon of our wedding and Chris and his assistant were awesome in developing a plan to get some quick outdoor shots before we all froze. Those outdoor shots of downtown Houston and in front of our wedding venue are some of my favorites.
And we did not have to wait months to get our pictures back either, even though we had him for 10 hours of photography. They came back super quick. Lots of photos and they ALL came out wonderful! I get to relive the entire day whenever I look at them!

We had narrowed down our choice for our wedding photographer to two and after speaking with Chris on the phone, it was clear who we needed to choose. Chris was very genuine and honest and he took the time out to talk to us about what made Genovese Studios different from the other photographers. I also liked that he was flexible enough to arrange a custom package that was to our liking and cost-effective. On the day of the wedding, Chris and Zach were extremely pleasant and helpful. We really didn't know much about how to pose, but both of them guided us gently and eased our anxieties about how the day would progress. The photos turned out great and we were really impressed by their skills and quality of their work. Highly recommend them!

I am so so so happy I chose Chris and his team as my wedding photographers! From the first time I met Chris, I immediately knew that he was going to be a pleasure to work with. Living in Houston, but getting married in Baton Rouge, he was willing to work with me and my husband's schedules to take engagement photos, bridal portraits, and travel to Baton Rouge for our wedding. We felt relaxed and at ease every time we worked with him, and Chris made every experience a good time! My photos came back absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be more excited about my wedding pictures! He was able to get every shot that I could have wanted and I never had to ask for anything the entire wedding night. I can't say enough good things about him and would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for an amazing wedding photographer...you won't regret it!!

Kim and her team were absolutely incredible. From our first phone call, we felt so comfortable with them. Things were a whirlwind the day of our wedding, but they managed to get in every photo combination we were looking for in record time. On top of it, the photos are flawless! You can't even tell it was 90 degrees and 100% humidity out there. They captured such magical moments all night and were such a delight to work with! I could not recommend them more!

Genovese Studios makes the impossible, possible! Everything I wanted from my photographer happened with this team. Chris is always available to answer questions or make suggestions. The experience this team has is incredible. In many ways Chris doubled as my reception coordinator for my wedding night. After I told him how I wanted the night to go (order of dances, cake, etc.) he helped me make it happen. He was still my photographer first! Chris and his assistant captured many important memories from that night. My husband and I can’t wait to do our After-Wedding session with him next week!

I'm so happy with the decision to go with Genovese Ashford! From our first meeting, Chris was very accommodating, and easy to work with. I really wanted two photographers, but was initially taken back by the pricing we received from other vendors. Fortunately, I discovered Genovese Ashford, and really liked their candid style. We were really happy that we were able to get such a quality 2-shooter team, at such a reasonable price. They seemed to always be in the right spot, at the right time, and captured all the action, and key moments, without being intrusive. I really couldn't be happier! Our photos are a dream come true, and I am so proud to show them to all of my family and friends. Highly recommend!

Genovese Ashford Studios were the photographers for my wedding in July 2017. They are hard working, professional, creative, and their work is stunning! They captured absolutely everything. Going through the pictures lets me relive all of it. I am so grateful for their hard work - you only get one chance to capture these moments, and I honestly did not expect so many amazing pictures. I highly recommend them if you are looking for photographers who will patiently work with you and require no supervision. They just did the work with kind smiles and made it look effortless.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! I could not say enough positive things about Kim and my experience with her and her staff! From engagements, to bridals to wedding pictures, I have loved every single picture! They kept me laughing and comfortable my whole bridal session. Absolutely LOVED working with Jenny and Kim for my bridals and wedding! They made taking bridals feel so relaxed and stress free-- definitely not awkward as I was worried about! I have gotten so many compliments on my bridal portraits! For the wedding day, Jenny and Kim captured the day PERFECTLY-- from the bridal parties personalities when we were getting ready, to the ceremony, to the reception.... all of the images reflect the day just as it was, the BEST DAY EVER! Genovese Ashford first caught my eye at a New Orleans Bridal show. Plenty of photographers were at this specific show, but the shots that they had were exactly what I was looking for- a photographer I didn't have to stop and pose for throughout my wedding day. From pre-bridals to the entire wedding day, Kim was a BLAST to work with. Her assistant Jen also ROCKED. They both made my husband and I so comfortable, it was like we had known them for so much longer than we did. They got so many amazing shots and half the time I didn't even notice they were there. Not only me, but my friends and family were astounded with the beautiful pictures we received. Not to mention, their price is pretty fair compared to most photographers. If I could do it all over again, I would still pick Genovese Ashford Studios to photograph my wedding. I really can't sing their praises enough. They were AMAZING!!!!

Genovese Ashford is truly the best. Their quality of work is excellent. Any time I sent an email requesting more information or expressing any questions, Kim responded to me within an hour or two. I had a hard time coming up with creative ideas for our engagement photos and my pre-bridal photos. Kim and her crew we full of poses and scenes that really captured our personalities and tastes. We just recently received our wedding photos back (very quickly too!) and can't stop looking at them. Its truly amazing at how much they were able to capture. We re-live the whole day every time we look at them. We could not have asked for anything more!

I can't say enough about how absolutely wonderful Genovese Ashford Studios is!! From the very first conversation I had with Chris Genovese, I knew his company was the right fit for mine and my husbands wedding photographer! He did our engagement pictures a couple of months before our wedding, and he made us feel so comfortable the entire time! He had an eye for certain locations & the lighting that was impressive! He was so laid back and genuine. He even allowed us to bring our two 80-90lb dogs for a couple of shots! My husband was so impressed with our decision! Our wedding day was even more perfect & thanks to him & Jenny, our day was captured beautifully! Jenny was just as amazing and so easy to work with! Not only was she providing exceptional photography, but she was so sweet to continuously check in with me & make sure I didn't need anything prior to my ceremony! I highly recommend Genovese Ashford Studios! You will not regret it! They are beyond amazing!! Great photographers & even better people! I can't Thank them enough!

Chris and his team were absolutely amazing! Since the very first day we booked him he was always available for help and easy to get in touch with. He made everything so easy for us and we never had to stress! We both immediately felt at ease shooting our engagement photos with him. My husband and I are not the most comfortable in front of a camera...but we had absolutely no trouble at all with Chris. Chris is very organized, professional, and is an extremely calming presence which was very much appreciated. He made our engagement photos and wedding day go by smoothly without any trouble. Not only did he capture everything we wanted on our wedding day, but he was able to give us wonderful memories to last forever. Kim was amazing and so easy to work with! I had to reschedule my bridal portraits a few times and she worked with me and made it happen! I also broke out in hives the night before the wedding and she was so good about getting the perfect angle on my face and editing the pictures to make sure they were less noticeable. She did an amazing job and in my opinion is one of the best photographers in the Baton Rouge area!

Genovese Ashford Studios were really accommodating and took the most fun pictures! We loved looking at the photos online and can't wait to get our album! Genovese Ashford Studios was AMAZING!!!! I had the chance of working with Kim for my bridal shoot, and I worked with Jennifer on my wedding day. They both made me feel so comfortable. Kim did an amazing job of making every photo my favorite photo. On my wedding day, Jennifer was able to keep everyone in the bridal party on track while capturing every photo I wanted. Communication with them via phone or email was always easy. They were always prompt and answered all my questions. I can't wait to use them again for maternity or family photo shoots. I live in Metairie, so Jennifer was so accommodating with driving in for an initial visit to meet her and learn about what Genovese Ashford had to offer. She had sample books and the price sheet so I could decide which package fit me best. I love their portal - this made it so easy to add or take away information I needed them to know for the wedding day as we got closer. It was so much easier than a bunch of E-mails going back and forth - and way more organized!! The day of the wedding was perfect. Jennifer and Kim were an awesome team. They kept us laughing and smiling the entire time and I am so pleased with the photos! I want them all!!

Chris and his team are simply the best! From the moment we started to search for our wedding photographers, we were sold immediately after meeting Chris for the first time. His ability to shoot in Houston and New Orleans, made it even better! He was extremely kind, courteous, professional, and flexible to our requests. He is also a great guy to just talk to and to witness his joy for photography is also a bonus! He created comfortable and natural environments and positioning for shots and we didn't feel stressed or "forced" into weird "poses". He is a must hire! By the way, that's coming from the Groom. Genovese Ashford was great! They were organized and on top of things in the planning stages. The weeks and days before the wedding they were in touch and very helpful in getting all the details finalized. The day of the wedding they arrived early, were very friendly and professional. I can not being to express how amazing Genovese Ashford Studios is to work with! I knew Kim was the photographer for me the minute that I met her. She had such a calming presence, which was something that was so important to me as wedding planning can be stressful. She answered every e-mail in a timely matter, no matter how small the question. The work was absolutely gorgeous! Every single one of the engagement, bridal, and wedding proofs were BEAUTIFUL. I had such a difficult time selecting the ones for my album, because they were all so meaningful and special. Look no further, this is your photographer. You never knew they were there, but as soon as the thought popped into my head that I wanted a picture with a guest, they were RIGHT THERE! Great equipment, no bright, blinding flashes in your face. Easy going, professional, great personality and generally just a pleasure to have at our event. Open to my pre-wedding gag on my to be groom, and happy to trek down the street for a impromptu photo shoot at the park. Chris is amazing. This was the single most important part of the wedding, because after the blur of the night is over, the pictures are all you have. I am so glad we chose Genovese Ashford.

We fully endorse GenoveseAshford for any special event photography! Chris was an absolute pleasure to work with and super patient with my now wife and our puppy at the time. We had initially worried about potential issues with same sex weddings, but there was nothing but respect for us, our family, and our love from the GenoveseAshford team. We did engagement photos with him along with our day of and we could not be happier. He and his team were able to capture so many wonderful moments and everything worked out so smoothly throughout our day (we literally did not notice where they were). Absolutely LOVE Genovese-Ashford Studios. They photographed our engagement session, my bridal session, as well as our wedding ceremony and reception. Chris Genovese is everything you want in a wedding photographer and then some. From our initial phone call to the last shot on the wedding day, he was phenomenal. He was extremely professional, knew what he was talking about, and made sure we knew exactly what we were going to get. We didn't actually meet in person until our engagements but he was so friendly and made us feel very comfortable throughout the shoot despite having just met. Those pictures were amazing and the work he and Lauren did for our wedding were absolutely stunning! I can't stop looking at the pictures; every time I go through them I love them more and more. They were able to capture every important moment of our day without being in the way. You will hardly know he's there! You can feel the emotions of the day through the photographs. Kim and her team did the most amazing job for all of out wedding events! This included our engagement photos, bridals, rehearsal dinner and our wedding! Kim was so easy to work with, would reply promptly with any questions or concerns and was able to re-arrange schedules when weather was an issue! We really appreciated her dedication and enthusiasm for all of our shoots! Most importantly, all of our photos turned out absolutely stunning! She was able to capture every special moment I had hoped for as well as moments we specially requested. Genovese-Ashford was wonderful! Our wedding was 6 months ago in Houston and I have finally found the time to sit down and write reviews for all of our wonderful vendors and awesome photographer. Our photographer was Chris and he did our engagement photos, my bridals and our wedding day. My husband and I live in Chicago but are from Houston so decided to have our wedding in Houston as it was much more convenient for our friends and family (plus I wanted a winter wedding which is not ideal in Chicago). Needless to say traveling back and forth for wedding planning and pictures was quite a challenge and we both had very restrictive schedules, but Chris was so flexible and accommodating and happily worked around our busy schedules. He even shot my bridals the week of Thanksgiving since it was the only time I could be in town before the wedding but after my dress was finished in alterations. We were very happy with our engagement photos and they made for a great save the date! What ultimately convinced me that I had chosen the right photographer was when I saw my bridal portraits. I have never liked how I photograph (regardless of what other people tell me) so I was nervous about having so many individual pictures of myself and was worried that no matter how beautiful my dressed looked I would still not love how I looked. Well, I could not have been more wrong. I can honestly say I loved every single one of my bridal portraits, they were gorgeous! I don’t know how Chris did it, but I could not have been happier. The pictures showed off my dress, veil and bouquet beautifully but also captured my personality too. As far as the wedding, Chris and his assistant were just as great then. I have pictures of every single significant moment and didn’t even notice them during the ceremony but the pictures were all wonderful and really captured all the emotions and fun of the wedding. We ended up with over 700 from the wedding and narrowing it down to 100 for an album was so hard.

Jennifer and Suzette were fantastic to work with! They both were very professional and got all of our pictures done quickly and efficiently. Our pictures came out beautifully, and I loved how they were willing to try to work in some of the shots I was wanting to get, even though the shots may have been a little challenging. Everything came out wonderfully and I'm so glad we have such great pictures to remember our big day! Thank you!!!

I was very pleased with Genovese-Ashford for my wedding photography. Kim shot our engagements, my bridals and our wedding. Kim was very professional, easy to communicate with, quick to get us our photos and very talented. At no point was I stressed about anything photography related. I met Chris with Genovese Ashford at a Bridal Show. We had been looking and looking for a photographer and couldn't find one we just loved.....until we met Genovese Ashford. Chris was amazing from start to finish. He met with my fiancé and I and took our engagement pictures. He put up with my requests of places where I wanted the pictures taken and did a fabulous job catching our pictures before the sun went down. He was very patient with me in creating the timeline and worked with my wedding planner and myself until we got the timeline of the wedding day perfect. On the day of my wedding- they also did an amazing job. They showed up on time, made sure we were on schedule, and captured the events of the day. You almost didn't know they were there sometimes as they stayed out of the way and focused on capturing each part of the day....the getting ready, the ceremony and the reception. We were blown away when we got our pictures back. I love all of them and I wouldn't have changed a thing! My only problem now is choosing only a select handful to put in an album. Thanks Chris and Lauren!

Chris is a very low-key and flexible photographer who also photographed my sister's wedding. He was great throughout the process and is also very responsive to emails. He did our engagement shoot, my bridal portraits, and our wedding. All the photos turned out awesome. He's also respectful, well-dressed, and not intrusive in the least. I have great photos of our families having fun on the dance floor (apparently not noticing him or his second shooter), and he kept everything on time! We would absolutely use Genovese-Ashford Studios again--no reason to look at other photographers!

Our experience with Genovese Ashford Studios was awesome! We are so happy with our beautiful wedding pictures! Genovese Ashford was absolutely wonderful to work with for our engagement and wedding photos! Kim created a very comfortable experience taking our engagement photos, which we both appreciated! Don't look any further for a wedding photographer!!! Genovese Ashford helped make my wedding a dream. I took bridals and wedding day photos with Kim. There is not a single thing to complain about. From the second my mom and I met Kim and watched a video of their work, we knew our quest for a photographer had ended. The picture slideshow moved us to tears. Kim is so professional and easy to work with. I felt comfortable every step of the way. Just got back wedding day photos, and I was so excited to relive that day again!
Comparable price to other photographers in the area but what you get for your money with them is not comparable! The pictures are STUNNING

Kim and her team did an amazing job on both our Engagement Session and Wedding. They helped me, my husband, and our son feel at ease throughout the entire process. We were also extremely impressed with their professionalism: they arrived early and stayed late, their work ethic was excellent, and they are most definitely well organized. Genovese Ashford Studios is absolutely amazing! I had some issues with weather on the day of my bridal portraits but Kim was amazing to work with. She was on top of everything and helped find an alternative location that could take us last minute. The pictures turned out gorgeous!! Her work is beautiful! On my wedding day there was nothing for me to worry about. She captured all the special moments. My wedding pictures are breathtaking!! I love that I can always look back and remember this day. In case you are worried about obtaining a photographer that will truly capture the essence of your big day, you will not regret your decision when it comes to Genovese Ashford Studies. Kim Ashford and her assistant Jennifer absolutely captured the purest elements of our wedding, through thunder, lightning and rain that tried to ruin our plans. They even created special moments that we'd lost in the moment of figuring out last minute ceremony alterations. You could not pick a better team of people than these ladies! I cannot even begin to explain how much I enjoyed my experience working with Kim from Genovese Ashford Studios! We were fortunate enough to have Kim shoot our engagement pictures, my bridal portraits, and all of our wedding day stuff! I could have never imagined that all of our pictures would be so amazing. Kim was very professional and easy to work with, and quite helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process. She was very patient with my dozens of questions, and was instrumental in making a location change for my bridal portraits [the day before!] due to torrential rain, so that we wouldn't have to reschedule hair/makeup/flowers, etc. I would recommend Kim and her team to anyone and everyone I know - you absolutely won't be disappointed! I am so pleased that I have these wonderful photographs to cherish for many years to come!

We had the most fantastic time with Kim shooting my bridal portraits. She took my ideas and wishes into consideration, but made recommendations that would enhance those ideas. Our wedding day experience and photos were 10 times more impressive. I was reminded why we chose Genovese Ashford when looking through the proofs. We're going to have a hard time choosing. Our photos came out absolutely amazing!!! Could not be more satisfied with Genovese-Ashford Studios! Every part of working with them was easy and stress-free. Kim shot both our engagement session as well as our wedding and was amazing to work with. The quality and attention to detail is really unbelievable! As an out-of-town bride, I had to do most of my planning over the phone or through email. Kim was such a huge help and completely understood the vision I was going for. They were familiar with Houmas House, so it made me even more comfortable in selecting them. On the day-of, they just jumped right in and made everything so easy, smooth and fun. Candid photos were important to me - and so many of the ones I love most are just that. Kim is so talented! The pictures turned out beautifully and their online system makes everything easy to choose and select from. Highly recommend!

Our pictures were amazing! Both the Bridal Portraits and the wedding pictures. Kim did a spectacular job of taking all the candid photos of the wedding. We didn't even know there were games going on during the wedding until I saw the pictures. She caught all the emotions on camera, the tears and all the laughter. There was so much emotional in each photograph. Beautiful!!! Everything was organized, downloads, uploads, ease of ordering is simple especially for someone who doesn't handle technology well, I was able to do everything I needed through their site.

I do not even know where to begin! Kim and I clicked from the day I met her and I immediately felt comfortable and knew I would end up with the most magical pictures. I had the honor of Kim shooting our engagement session, my bridals, and our wedding and I am on cloud nine looking through these albums! If you're looking for amazing candids and a comfortable and creative atmosphere, you've found your photographers. Our friends and family are still raving about the candid reception pictures they captured. Really, the quality of both candids and posed photos were the best we've ever seen.

Kim and Jennifer not only captured our wedding day perfectly, they helped the day run smoothly. I was nervous about my veil falling, Jennifer stepped in and helped stick in a few more bobby pins. We had a short amount of time to get ceremony pictures, they got every family picture we wanted and made it work. It rained as we were leaving the church, they turned it into a fun photo op and even let us use their umbrella!

At the reception, they were in stealth mode- we were having so much fun, and we are so thankful that they didn't try to stop us for photo ops or poses. They captured the raw beauty, excitement, and love in the air that day, and we are so grateful!!

Kim was SO wonderful to work with. My wedding day was a roller coaster of emotions due to the weather conditions and last-minute changes. Kim kicked everyone out of the room and sat with me one-on-one to reassure me that everything would turn out to be beautiful and that my pictures would be amazing, despite the rain, and she was right! While we were looking for our wedding photographer, we wanted someone who would be able to really capture the moment. Yes, nowadays, it is not hard for anyone who has a phone to "capture the moment," the hard part is making these moments look professional at the same time. Chris at Genoverse Ashford did just that. From the very beginning when I met with Chris, he was very easy going, personable and passionate about his job. He showed me some of his work and their candid style was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. On the day of the wedding, Chris and his assistant Lauren even went to the venue earlier than the expected time to check out the place, which just shows how professional and dedicated they are. The pictures turned out more perfect than we would ever imagine. Not just me, all our friends and families also complimented so much on the pictures and how our photographer really knew how to capture the moment. I used Genovese Ashford Studios as my wedding photographer and the pictures far exceeded my expectations. Many people have commented that they are some of the best wedding pictures they have ever seen. Our "first look" pictures turned out perfectly. The pictures during our Second Line and reception were able to capture how much fun everyone was having. Kim was easy to work with and was able to do all the pictures that we had requested.

I hired Chris at Genovese Ashford for my bridal portraits and my wedding photography. I was extremely happy with how both turned out.
