Heart Warming Celebration

Gayle Orth, and her staff, are simply the best! Our daughter and her (now) husband, wanted an outdoor wedding celebration in our garden. Gayle prepared a sketch of our yard with tables & chairs for our guests, umbrellas (for hot sun or pouring rain, it’s the PNW!), a bar, absolutely everything needed to make our wedding party flow perfectly. She provided menu options, based on our preferences. Gayle listened to our feedback, and provided expert advise based on her years of experience. The food was delicious, fresh and well prepared, beautifully plated and individually served. Our daughter’s wedding celebration was lovely.

Excellent experience for my daughter's wedding cake!

We had an excellent experience with Gayle Orth Catering. They did the wedding cake for my daughter's wedding in August 2019. The cake was delicious (carrot cake). It was a pleasure to work with them. They were efficient in their communication with me. They also creatively adjusted the order to accommodate the grooms dislike of coconut - the bottom layer had coconut and the top did not! Everyone was happy! They also packed the cake very well so that it was safe for our 1 hr travel with it in the back of our car to the wedding venue. They thought of everything and made it all so easy. I would highly recommend Gayle Orth Catering for your wedding.

Amazingly incredible!!!

My husband and I truly have never been so impressed by a team of amazing individuals. Gayle and her staff made sure every single detail of our wedding was handled with the utmost of care. They went above and beyond in every way. Our guests all commented on the quality of food and the friendliness of her staff. They attended to us as if we were family, but with the utmost of professionalism. I would recommend Gayle (and have) to any one and everyone. She and her team are nothing short of spectacular. Gayle made the most important day of my life exceptionally special. I can't possibly thank her and her team enough!!!

Second to none! Top notch!

Gayle Orth Catering is second to none. The food is amazing. I had an event where Gayle handled all of the catering, set up and clean up. Her staff was attentive to the point where guests noticed the high level of service and commented as such. The food was absolutely delicious, not to mention the beautiful display of all of the food and desserts. Amazing!

Responsive and Professional

We engaged Gayle Orth Catering for an evening corporate event and they were an absolute joy to work with. Gayle is responsive and experienced. We made multiple changes to our menu and headcount, and she was incredibly flexible. Her knowledge of the venue and the options available was incredibly helpful in planning our event. Her service staff was friendly and professional and the food beautiful was delicious! We hope to use Gayle Orth for future events!

Delicious food/excellent service

Gayle is the number one catering service in the Pacific NW and I highly recommend her. I have used her for family gatherings, post wedding brunches, bridal and baby showers, and more.
Gayle and her amazing team catered a beautiful event in our home to celebrate my husbands retirement and our guests loved every bite! Gayle also supplied drinks (fantastic signature cocktails) and wine pairings for the food. Her menu is expansive and there are many choices. The food is truly the best and she is the top chef in town!!

Fantastic!

Gayle is so much more than just catering. She stepped in as basically a day of coordinator and contacted all vendors prior to ensure everyone was on the same page. Not many people can say their wedding day went off without a single thing going wrong but Gayle Orth catering made that happen for me and I will definitely be using them in the future! She took so much stress away it was a miracle.

Far exceeded our expectations

Gayle and her team far exceeded our expectations. We hired them for our Sunday Brunch after our wedding. We have families and friends who are all professional chefs or at least incredible foodies. The food and presentation were spectacular and delicious. Gayle was wonderful to work with and I would not hesitate to hire them again. My husband said to me after our party, "that that was the BEST party that we ever hosted"! I said, " yeah because we had it catered"! It was stress free, and beautiful.
Gayle's service team were on time and charming to work with. I look forward to our next opportunity to hire Gayle and her team.

Gayle made it all happen!

Hiring Gayle was instrumental to how smoothly everything went on our big day. The food was excellent but beyond the catering service, she gave us contacts for our other vendors, planned and went above and beyond what we could have expected. I would recommend her to anyone planning a wedding or big event.

EXCELLENCE falls short of a description for Gayle Orth, her menu, culinary execution, resources, service and staff. You will not find a better Partner for your event. Honestly, I want to keep her a secret, but at the same time want to share her creativity with all. Extremely attentive to needs- menus able to shift to accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences. I never give perfect scores- but I will for Gayle, she broke the record.

Working with Gayle orth was a dream. Her business acumen, exquisite cuisine, and exceptional service Were at the pinnacle of her trade. The professionalism exhibited by Gayle and her team as well, reflected Her high standards. She was willing to perform any task or extra service asked of her. She offered me Sage advice . Although expensive, She was willing to Reasonably craft her service to meet our budget concerns. In My opinion there is no better caterer Available. Gayle and her team where the greatest contributor to the success of the wedding event. My takeaway from this experience was if you must cut the budget , hire the best caterer and DJ And Levy the cuts to other services. These two, ultimately determine the success of the event and what the guests remember. She’s the very best!

Gayle and her Staff did a phenomenal job at our family function. The food was amazing, the presentation was fantastic, and her Staff was personable, professional, and fun. We highly recommend Gayle and her people. They were a huge part of the success of our function and our guests had nothing but compliments. The deserts alone will blow your mind. We contacted Gayle only a couple of days prior to my mother’s funeral reception. Gayle and her team are at the top of the pyramid of professional caterers, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for any event. She has catered both an afternoon tea & baby shower for 25 and a fully catered wedding dinner reception for 200 for us, and both events were handled impeccably. Everything, from the amazingly fresh and creatively presented food to the smallest detail such as choices of dinnerware and drinks was handled with the utmost care. Gayle is collaborative, offering suggestions when needed and she always, always listens. Regardless of your budget, she executes any event with the best possible options. For our recent baby shower, I called her A WEEK ahead of time in a panic, and she immediately confirmed her availability, sent me menu options, and provided decorating ideas that reflected our theme. She and her team coordinated the rental equipment we needed, set up everything beautifully, and our guests left raving about the food and the presentation. As for our daughter's wedding six years ago, people STILL talk about the food and how beautiful everything was. That is the ultimate compliment in my opinion! We will always use Gayle Orth Catering, as she is the best!

It was a pleasure to work with Gayle Orth. Because she has worked in this business for so many years, she had many helpful suggestions. She took extra time to walk through the venue with us and help us determine the most effective venue set-up. When our Alaska living grand daughter Elise told us wanted to spend her 30th birthday celebration with us we were delighted. Then she shared her birthday wishes- for her cake, she wanted a Prinsesstarta (Swedish Princess Cake) like the one she had seen on the British Baking Show. My heart fell because I could not find any local bakery who had the expertise to build this luscious creation. Birthday dinner party was planned at Marzano's Italian Restraurant in Parkland, so I sought advise from their pastry chef, Barbara Pozzi. Barbara led me immediately to Gayle Orth. The heavens opened and the light shone down on us! Gayle was so joyful and responsive in listening to my request, offered pictures and suggestions to insure 'Princess Elise" was presented with the birthday cake of her dreams. The cake was magnificent and absolutely delicious. The pictures may not do the cake justice. Gaye incorporation live flowers into the icing, piping leaves and stems-breathtaking. Gayle, you more than rock! You are the QUEEN of cakes. Thank you. We are still talking about THAT CAKE! YUM

As anyone would know a memorial service can be overwhelming. Having Gayle Orth cater our service took all the worry away about food. We had a lot of out of town quest and everyone enjoyed the food immensely.

Our daughter was married in 2006 and albeit that was a while ago, I must tell you, people still talk to us about how beautiful the wedding was and the first thing they recall was the magnificent food and presentation. It was a destination wedding, so you can imagine how difficult it must have been to bring and set up such a magnificent array of wonderful food, breads and desserts. I would recommend Gayle Orth Catering in a heartbeat. As the mother of the bride my only regret is I didn't get to taste much but everyone else says they feel sorry for me because it was all wonderful.

Used Gayle for a large baby shower at the Grandma-to-be's house, but I hosted it. The food was fabulous and everyone was amazed by how elegant and beautiful it was. We had set up the tables and had all the dishes, glasses, silverware, etc., but she brought the food and all the serving dishes. It was so easy PLUS the food was amazing!

Gayle was exceptionally patient and understanding that the cost for catering was a huge part of the budget for my daugher's wedding. We had a clear idea of what the menu was to be, and she made the food come to life with burst in your mouth flavor and visual appeal. Our menu was Hawaiian themed and the highest compliment was from a cousin from Hawaii who asked if the caterer was "local"--meaning from the Islands!! She worked hard to provide over-the-top food and service before the wedding and was on site during the wedding to make sure everything went as planned. She was also a wedding planner in disguise and was so knowledgeable in helping make decisions on the timeline for the event. From recommendations for hair and makeup artists, to DJs and florists, Gayle was a fount of information. Gayle and her team are always busy, which is a testament to how much in demand she is, but she is every bit the professional and worth the expense. You will not go wrong in choosing Gayle Orth Catering for any event, big or small!!!

We have worked with Gayle on 3 events and have been extremely pleased every time. Her menu offerings are nearly endless and everything is delicious and beautiful. She is truly an event planner and can handle all the details from tents and tables to servers and advice. Her experience and professionalism take the worry out of hosting an event. She catered my son's wedding and so many guests complemented us on both the delicious food and friendly service. I have recommended her to several friends and all of them will tell you she is a true godsend. She and her team will make any event...big or small, casual or formal...a dream come true.

Gayle is the last caterer you will ever need to know. When the caterer for our wedding went belly up a week out from our wedding date - Gayle stepped in and delivered the best catered dinner for 120 guests that we could have hoped for. She literally saved the day for us. That was 20 years ago and there isn't a major event that we've celebrated since then that we haven't relied on Gayle and her team to cater for us. Working with her is a dream and she always manages to surprise us with something special. She takes care of everything and never leaves anything to chance with delivering amazing gourmet spreads. Best caterer ever!

Gayle Orth was wonderful! I used them to cater my promotion ceremony and was very pleased with their service and food. The setup was fabulous! The food not only looked good, it tasted good. I appreciated them coming in, setting up, leaving and returning at the conclusion to help tear down and collect their dishes and other items. Everyone talked about how good the food was and very little was left over... I call that a success and would hire them again.

Gayle and her crew were amazing for our birthday/retirement event. They were accommodating as the guest counts began to fluctuate. What I really appreciated was the one stop shop aspect. linens, bar, food, staff. It made the event so easy so that I was able to enjoy the event rather than project manage.

Gayle was a wonderful caterer. The food was amazing! The service her staff provided was perfect. Gayle was a joy to work with to plan our food. Gayle has so much knowledge beyond just caterer that she provides. She helped us with the time line for our wedding to keep our wedding fun and moving! Gayle catered our grand re-opening of a store for us. She was very responsive as far as our requests on what kind of food and drink we wanted available. We also had more guests RSVP as the last moment and Gayle was able to absorb the extra number with no hesitation. Overall, a great experience.

Gayle and her team are the epitome of professionalism. My family has used her services for a couple of events, both of which were lovely! In planning my Dad's Celebration of Life, we requested that the menu include a number of his favorite things and Gayle put together a cohesive menu that was both delicious and beautiful. There were a few hiccups with the venue during the set up of the event, but Gayle and her team saw to it that everything was in place prior to our guests arrival. Having worked with Gayle on a previous event, we knew we could trust her to handle all the details. I would not hesitate to recommend Gayle Orth Catering to anyone!

This was the second time we have used Gayle Orth Catering for a book club dinner party with 8 couples. This most recent experience surpassed the high expectations we had from our first encounter. Gayle was most helpful in advising me on a dinner menu to fit the structure of the party and the tastes of our group. On the day of the party, the catering team arrived promptly and set up their work and serving areas with a minimum of time and fuss. The server who stayed on to work the party moved quietly and efficiently throughout the happy hour. When it came time to dine, all the dishes were beautifully presented, with lovely garnishes making for an artful appearance. Best of all, the food was delicious and plentiful. The server attended us with a smile through all 3 courses, and when she wasn't busy at the table, she quietly tidied the kitchen. When our happy guests departed, there was not much for my husband and me to do but pour another glass of wine, put our feet up, savor the moment, and anticipate the next day's leftovers. We highly recommend Gayle Orth Catering.

In less than 2 weeks time I was able to work with Gayle to create a lovely buffet for a girl's night out event at my home. The number of attendees was not final until 3 days prior but her flexibility ensured there was plenty of food. I had nothing but compliments on the food and table arrangement which included lots of fresh flowers and provided her business details for 2 other people who plan to use catering services. You get what you pay for and she's worth every penny, very affordable for what you're getting. If you visit her in Tacoma don't walk out until you talk to her and see what she can do for your event! She sets things up on pedestals so that it has an elegant look and garnishes her food so that it looks finished and gorgeous! She will place things just so until she is satisfied that it looks spectacular! She has endless food categories and choices OR if you don't see what you want, just ask and she'll make and tailor it to suit your taste buds! She is great at planning the details of your event. She has LOTS of pictures in her photo albums so you will have no trouble seeing the talent she has. You can conjure up your own ideas off of what she has made or just point out what you see in her albums. She also has menus with all kinds of choices and top quality ingredients that she can email to you so that you can take your time to really read all the wonderful delicacies she has to offer. She actually answers and returns phone calls and emails! Very professional and capable of anything you desire. Easy to talk to, relaxed, confident with excellent communication skills.

If you want a stress free caterer that you won't have to worry about, choose Gayle. I had 80 people at my daughters baby shower. It was so beautiful that people thought they were walking into a wedding. That was months ago and people are still talking about our event and more importantly, when my daughter arrived she was blown away!

And oh, in case you're wondering, I have never met Gayle before I contracted her for my daughter's baby shower. I do not normally do reviews because vendors usually give "ok", or "so so" service but Gayle goes beyond and I’m happy to take the time to do this review.

We collaborated with Gayle on heavy appetizers, and she worked with us on the wine we had chosen. The reception was a celebratory tasting event. Wine notes were displayed and Gayle's staff suggested food pairings. Guests enjoyed exploring wine notes and experiencing flavor nuances. Elegantly casual, tasting extraordinaire, and the best time. Guests still talk about the great time (and great times always involve the people and the food). Gayle and her staff were such delights with which to work! Thanks, Gayle!

Gayle and her team were great to work with. They were flexible and helped fill in when the cake topper failed to arrive in time for the wedding. They we also great in working with and coordinating with the ice sculpture and florist. I would use them again in a heart beat.

We were new to the area and really didn't know who to choose for our Caterer. The Chapel on Echo Bay recommended Gayle Orth Catering. We first met with another Caterer in the area and didn't feel quite right. Upon meeting Gayle and talking about our vision for the day, we knew right away Gayle was the one. She has years of experience and made us feel good about every decision made. She is a great resource as well. She knows quality vendors to work with. The food was amazing! All of our family and friends raved about every detail. They also talked about how wonderful her staff was. They were friendly and eager to please.
One of the things that will always stand out is the day of the wedding Gayle came in and added more details to what we had already set up to give it that extra pizazz. She was so easy to work with and what she said she would do she did over and above and beyond! Her team sent with us an amazing wedding basket full of food!

Excellent service and response to questions. Able to freely substitute for GF or food allergies. All arrangements carefully organized in advance, and extraordinarily helpful staff / leadership. Gayle Orth will remain our GOTO for our firm events S of Seattle.
