After making an appointment, I was called back by a stylist to better understand my vision for my perfect wedding dress. There were some follow up questions and the stylist asked if there’d be anyone joining that I wouldn’t want their opinion to overshadow my experience. Luckily there wasn’t but I appreciated the question as I imagine the stylist would help to divert attention from any negative comments made by my wedding party (although in my case that wasn’t needed).
Upon arrival, we were greeted and Armida’s bubbly personality helped to get excited about the process. This was the very first time dress shopping and her excitement was contagious! She had a few dresses picked out but still wanted to be sure we were on same page about my vision and added a few more to the rack.
The very first dress I tried on, I LOVED!! And so did everyone. And every dress after that was beautiful too. Armida had a way of picking beautiful dresses that I absolutely loved. She asked what I liked/didn’t like about each dress or if there were parts of a particular dress that I wished others had and she had a solution to my concerns.
Overall great service from Armida! I ended up saying yess to the dress that I tried on first.
Thank you for a positive and great experience! I cannot wait for the big day! -

Such an amazing experience! Went into the appointment on a whim, wasn't expecting for fimd a dress or not. I had a vision of dresses I loved and they made it come true. Was able to build the dress I wanted. -

Will you laugh? Yes! Will you cry? Of course! Will you be ready to put that dress on today and celebrate? Absolutely!! This was my first and last stop on the wedding dress tour. I had in mind exactly what I wanted including the budget and Granet just stood out to me. TAMIKO was amazingly helpful, patient and she listened. First off we were late and I naturally assumed we'd be rushed and there would be no way I'd find a dress. But Tamiko asked her questions, listened to everyone's feedback and got to work. The group favorite eventually only because my favorite but Tamiko reminded me it was my day and I could choose what I wanted!! I did not get what I wanted, I actually ended up with the opposite of what I wanted and I love every inch of it. If Garnet did bridesmaid dresses I'd be right there!! But if your looking for something amazing and don't want to break the bank... this is the place for you. -

I had purchased another dress that I didn't love, but I was convinced that I needed to sacrifice fashion for budget. This shop blew my mind! The dresses they have are a few seasons old, but they are high-quality, beautiful, and ready to go home the same day! And Shauna was so kind and knowledgeable as she helped me pick the perfect dress. I recommend this shop to everyone I can! -

I found Grace and Garnet on Yelp. I follow them on Instagram and saw that they had their black Friday sale going on, having already been to two previous bridal appointments (at another store) I decided last minute to set an appointment. I live in Whittier so it was local. I decided I would go alone to check it out. I was not expecting to find a dress I liked to be honest. Shauna helped me and I loved how personal she made my experience. I found the dress that I have been looking for. They were so accommodating. Highly recommend! -

It was my first time visiting a bridal salon and I had a wonderful experience. Tamiko helped me out, as well as another bride, but she did her very best to make my appointment wonderful. She listened to what I was looking for plus staying within my budget. I'm a curvy bride and I was worried I wouldn't find anything that would fit or look good on me. She was very patient and I ended up going with a dress that was simple and elegant, but perfect for my occasion. -

Wonderful dress shop! I met with Genevieve and she was so sweet and welcoming, highly recommend her, she made me feel so excited about my dress! We browsed the racks and my mom spotted an amazing Allure gown - it was like if Kate Spade made a ballgown! The price was incredible and they were running a promotion for $200 off, and I loved to be able to buy it and take it home that day (as opposed to biting my nails for a few months as it got ordered, like other shops!). All in all, wonderful experience and highly recommended. The only downside is the lighting in the room - not too great... I think the shop would benefit from some more inside natural lighting so photos capture the dresses in all its glory! -

GARNET + grace was recommended to me by a colleague. I went in with no expectations because I heard that many brides may visit multiple stores. I have to say that I was ecstatic that I found my dress at this store! Amanda was my associate and she did an AMAZING job at picking different dresses and attending to my needs. I tried on 7-8 dresses and the last one was a wildcard and happened to be “the one!” The prices are very reasonable and it’s awesome to be able to take home the dress the minute you pay for it. They also have many sample sales and styles. I would definitely recommend GARNET + grace! -

When it came time to start the dress shopping, I was so nervous because I am not a very decisive person when it comes to things that I have to choose because I love it. I am more of your easy going and go with the flow kind of person. Tamiko made the process so easy and she worked with me so well. I probably tried on like 6-8 dresses and at first I was going to go with one dress because I was going for the rustic look to fit our wedding venue. BUT, my mother and a couple of people who were not there the first time with me didn't like the dress I picked out. Tamiko told me brides after they found one they go to different shops to see what else is out there and sure enough that is what I did which was SO BAD of me. I even made the process more stressful than I really should have. I was so tired of looking and when I went back with my mom and sister in law, I told Tamiko what happened and I showed her that I am looking more for a different dress. She found one dress and that was THE DRESS!!! I seriously fell in love with it and so did my mom and sister in law. The dress was gorgeous and beautiful!!! I didn't think it would have worked with my venue as it is very rustic, but in all honesty it did work. My dress was THE HIGHLIGHT of the night as it should be. EVERYONE complimented how beautiful it was. Thank you Tamiko so much for working with me!! You are seriously an amazing person and you made the dress shopping less stressful for me.
Amanda is great as well, I met her towards the end of my fittings and she is super nice and helpful as well.
I added the cuffed sleeves to the dress and it looked GORGEOUS!!! I wanted something to cover my broad shoulders and Tamiko helped me with the ideas and loved it. It really looked like part of the dress. -

I was surprised by my bridesmaids and mother for a bridal fitting. They treated us like a VIB (very important bride). I felt like they really listened to what I was working for and made it a very fun experience. My dream dress was the first one I tried on. After working with their seamstress I was able to make alterations to the dress that made me fall in love with it more! I can’t wait for all my guests to see it on my big day! Very professional would highly recommend. -

First of all TaMiko was amazing!!! I am originally from Whittier but I moved out of state 4 yrs ago with my fiance. So I planned my dress shopping around mother's day weekend so I could kill two birds with one stone. I looked up dress shops and only went to one. And that one dress shop was Garnet + Grace! Tried on a good amount of dresses, even made sure I could dance in them! Lol..
And found my perfect wedding dress! All thanks to TaMiko and of course my mother and bridesmaids who said Yes and No to the choices! -

Kimi Sent on 08/18/2016This place is a hidden gem! My MoH found this place on Instagram and took me to just try on silhouettes, and I ended up falling in LOVE with a dress! As a plus size bride on a budget, I never thought I would be able to afford a beautiful lace dress! Claudia was absolutely wonderful and really listened to how I wanted to look that day! My mom wasn't there for the appointment, but they graciously allowed me to come back later in the day (oh the busiest days of all.. Saturdays) and let me mom see it. Wonderful staff and AMAZING prices! -

All the Ladies were so helpful and welcoming. They listened to me in terms of the style of dresses I was looking for. They only let you try on things that are your size or bigger (because it can always be altered down). Every single time I went out in a dress they will make you feel so confident and beautiful. I love the dedication and the help that these ladies gave! It was AMAZING! They also offer packages on storage/cleaning/holding of the dress for a fair price. Dress was a bit more than I expected to pay, but they did offer $200 off for leaving with the dress that same day! All in all, it was a great experience and after countless bridal dress trials, I was happy that this was my last! -

Wonderful dress buying experience, not so great with alterations
Garnet and Grace made buying my dress so easy I fell in love with one right away! My only complaint was during the alteration my appointment kept getting rescheduled and that caused some anxiety, but in the end everything was perfect! -

Victoria Sent on 09/04/2018Great shopping experience for plus size. Found my dress. They didn't inform me it was slightly damaged in back. Paid extra to repair when I got to alterations. In house alterations were booked so went to recommended back up vendor. They were okay but didn't fix my bust area correctly. Bought a sash that looking at when I got home was damaged and broken. It was over priced too. Buy from outside vendor for accessories. -

My mom and I were so excited to look around, I didn't know I was going to find my dress that day. I'm glad I did, Claudia was helpful in trying on the dresses and was not pushy on deciding what I wanted to do payment wise. I am so glad I got my dream dress from here and was able to stay under budget too. -

My experience was decently awful. They spent half the appointment trying to upsell me on pricey alterations if I didn’t like something about their dresses. They were not respectful of my budget AT ALL and had me try on a dress that was $500+ out of my budget and avoided telling me the price until after I said “yes to the dress”. We found out my fiancé was getting laid off (due to COVID) literally the morning after I got my dress, less than 24 hours later, and they weren’t willing to help us at all. I even asked to return the dress for only a half refund (they could resell it for the same amount because it was a sample anyway and make almost $3,000 on an $1,800 dress). This store was by-far the worst experience related to planning our wedding. The only positive is the sales lady made me feel comfortable. Regardless, 0/10 would not recommend. -

I was referred to G+G by a friend and arrived within a month and a half of my wedding day and found a dress I absolutely loved. I was assured alterations could be done in 2-3 weeks tops since it only needed to be taken in a little on the shoulders, hem, and a little on the sides. I scheduled my first alterations appointment for the following Monday and that’s when it turned south.
First appointment wasn’t logged, and I have no idea why considering I was the last appointment of the day only a couple days prior. The lady who helped me (not shauna) didn’t even recognize me when I came back, or own her mistake. Her solution was to ask me to come back in a week from the day I stood there. After reminding her that would not only be cutting it too close , but that I was also late to work because of the appointment, and explained that I would not do it again over a mistake on her part so, she scheduled me for the same day at 5:30. Didn’t end there.
They said it would be a total of 3 alteration appointments from the start. It was 5 disastrous appointments beginning with the one that wasn’t scheduled when it should of been. I came back at 5:30 and everything seemed good. I was all pinned up and we were good to go with the process for 400$. I was told it would be done the next time I’d seen her in a week. Nope.
Second Appointment, nothing was finished and everything was the same as the first time she pinned me. She just put more pins in me on top of the pins already there. Didn’t end there.
Third appointment, pins were gone, but I needed her to take the dress in at my chest, my waist, and on my hips because it wasn’t fitted. She said she could have it done within the week. As I was out of town, I couldn’t pick up the dress until the last week of February (my wedding is March 2) But she assured me it would be done and everything would be perfect.
Fourth alteration appointment, I couldn’t close my dress from the back. It had only been like 12 days. I was 2 lbs heavier I will admit, but that shouldn’t have been the difference of feeling like I was about to burst out of my dress and not being able to close it. She took it in too much on my waist and hips. What’s worse is she didn’t own her mistake, and asked if I had too big of a big lunch. I was furious.
The rep tried to be flexible, and said she could have this fixed by the next day, but wanted me to drive to her house in Corona. I told her I couldn’t as I had other appointments (4 days from my wedding atm) So she accommodated by saying she’d see me in the shop the following day.
She canceled a couple hours before and tried to lie and say it was an appointment issue with other brides who were late. I begged to come earlier or later at first, but she then admitted the dress wasn’t ready.
She assured me she could see me the following day and that everything would be done. Per the rep, the hem was the only thing that wasn’t finished and promised she’d text me the moment it was done that same night, as well as the moment she was leaving her house the next day to see me. I only got one of those texts and it was to assure me it was done.
My 5th and last appointment, nothing was done other than letting it out at my waist. The breast area was still too lose and the hem wasn’t finished. Her solution 3 days before my wedding, was to have me pay 30$ for bra cups when the dress already had bra pads, and to do a quick cut at the bottom of my dress while I was there after lying to me that she’d finished everything. Didn’t tip her.
