Amazing food and wonderful service!

The Gance's team was friendly, attentive, accommodating, and professional. Communication was spectacular. The food was amazing! Our guests were raving about the quality of the meal. The service team was wonderful! They made our wedding day go smoothly and I felt like I was in great hands. I didn't have to worry about a thing!

Catering needs

We have had Gance here at our venue to cater several different times. The staff is pleasant. The food looks delicious. they come in very professional and all our brides and groom seem to be very happy.. They are approximately one hour away from our venue which works out well for them and us. They do a great job as far as cleaning up and setting up.

Loree and her team helped to make our day perfect!!

From the first time I spoke with Loree, I could immediately tell she was professional, creative, sharp and organized! She covered every detail and made our day beautiful and delicious with a relaxed attitude that let me relax and know she had it covered. From the signature cocktail, perfect finger food for our cocktail hour, pristine service at our served lunch and the most beautiful petite desert table, everything was perfect!! We highly recommend Gance’s and appreciate how they made our day so special! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’d hire them 100 times if I could

Everything about Gance’s was amazing from start to finish. Loree was extremely patient and accommodating to not only my, but every guests dietary/allergy needs. We had multiple meetings regarding this and she made sure everything was perfect. The day of, the staff was amazing. So tentative and friendly. We had our nanny up at our Airbnb on property. I asked them to bring her a plate for cocktail hour. Not only did they find me and confirm they brought it up to her, they brought her dinner before I even had to ask. Everyone congratulated us on getting married and they were just so nice. I cant rave enough about how great they all were. I want to have 100 weddings just so I can hire them every time

Simply the best!

Loree and her staff at Gance's provided a most memorable Rehearsal Dinner and Reception. Loree worked with us, offered suggestions, and was the consummate professional. Our guests gave rave reviews for the food and we received an endless stream of how much they enjoyed both meals. We checked out other caterers but they pale in comparison to Gance's. I don't think words can adequately express how pleased we were with Gance's. And the best part was Gance's did not break our budget and came in at the best price for what we received. How can you beat quality service at a great price? We had the most memorable two days thanks to Loree, her chef Ron, and the other staff members at Gance's. Pick gance's - you won't be disappointed!

I couldn’t have asked for a better company to go with. Loree, the sales manager, is INCREDIBLE at what she does and the food tasted phenomenal. The company is based in NY, and we had our wedding in PA. Thankfully they were able to travel to my location because we really won with them. During our tasting she really had us because the setup was beautiful and like a real dinner, the whole experience was just great. During the wedding staff couldn’t have been more on-point with the service to our guests. We got a buffet-style setting and Loree was serving us as we were sitting at our table, impeccable service - seriously. And she and her staff just acted like they really cared. Everyone at my wedding claimed how amazing the food was - (even complimented by a couple of my family members who are the greatest cooks I’ve ever met). Their choices on the menu are truly great. During wedding planning, every time I had a question for Loree she would answer immediately. Again, I wouldn’t have asked for a better catering company than them and I would recommend them over and over again. Thank you so much Gance’s!

I would have Gance cater all my parties

We used Gance to cater our wedding in September and to grill for our BBQ te day after. From day 1 at our tasting, we knew we had a good thing going.
Loree was absolutely fantastic, responsive, professional, and receptive. She was paramount in speaking with our rental company to ensure she had everything she needed & made sure I was always looped into any conversations. She came for a site visits the week before the wedding so she and her staff could be well prepared.
We made homemade hor d'oeuvres and Gance was more than happy to cook and serve them! I have family members with very severe food allergies and every adjustment that needed to be made was so that no one had to worry. All of the staff was amazing.
Not only the service, the price was so reasonable AND the food was phenomenal! I still have people talking about how delicious everything was. The star of the show was absolutely the roasted pig.
We would have Gance back to cater ANYTHING in a heartbeat!

Extreme flexibility

Loree worked with us to plan and execute the vision that we had in our minds. She was patient and professional, responded quickly, offered suggestions and ideas when we weren't quite sure what we wanted, and delivered a menu that fit our budget and our vision. Absolutely amazing!

When we started our search for catering for our wedding in Trumansburg we were in contact with a ton of different vendors. Once we found gances and spoke to Loree we knew they were the ones we wanted. We live over 4 hours away from them so stopping in wasn’t possible. They were such a pleasure to deal with so helpful with accommodating us and helping us make our choices. Everyone knows planning a wedding isn’t fun but they truly made our day so much easier. On wedding day they came early and had set everything up! We chose buffet style and the food was absolutely delicious. My guests cannot stop raving about it and a lot of them are picky! Would highly recommend gances to anyone wanting a phenomenal caterer for any event

May the 4th

I cannot begin to sing the praises of Loree and Gance’s. They were open and receptive to all of my questions from start to finish. They accommodated small changes and dietary restrictions. They made sure that everyone had something to eat, and the food was fabulous. When something wasn’t going to be of the highest level, they let me know and let me make the decision if I still wanted it. They were hard to find gluten-free foods which I greatly appreciate. Not only that but the professionalism and service of their team at the wedding and reception was beyond reproach. Loree Also made it a point to make sure that my husband and I had food to snack on before photos, had plates so we could sit down and eat and everything that we would need to reduce or stress. Loree Also embodied the theme of our wedding by taking the extra time to fold the napkins in the shape of the rebellion symbol of Star Wars. Those extra touches meant the world to all of us. In the future when I have events, I would definitely be using Gance’s as my caterer.

Highly Recommend

From tasting to table service they were professional, personable, and attentive. Loree went above and beyond throughout the whole experience. Loree was always polite and helpful over the phone, and the set-up for the tasting went so smoothly. The food was delicious and everything we were looking for! During the service, the staff always made sure that we had everything we needed- even going as far as to help us (the bride and groom) get our dinner buffet items, getting our water goblets refilled and handed to us when we moved about our reception location so we'd stay hydrated, and was always helpful to help even outside of their food services such as turning lights on and straightening decorations.

Amazing food from amazing people

Gance's was incredibly quick and way more helpful than i would have ever expected from a caterer. every unexpected thing that came up was quickly resolved by them. the food was great, the price reasonable, special accommodations handled, not a single guest had a complaint.

Great Service and BBQ Catering!

Loree and her team went above and beyond to cater the 100-person welcome party for our wedding weekend at Estates by Brophy this October! Loree was easy to communicate with behind the scenes and she even coordinated with our venue in advance to ensure all went smoothly on the day of the event. We chose the “picnic on location” option and it was so nice that Gances took care of not only the food but also the extra details like plates, cups, silverware, napkins and linens. All the food was top quality, with the brisket and macaroni & cheese as the biggest hits! Additionally, when I reached out to Gances about hiring extra staff to support on our actual wedding day (for which had a different caterer) she was more than willing to help. She connected us with Andrew, who was friendly, professional, and jumped right in with the unfamiliar catering team! We highly recommend Gances for your next bbq-style event!

Amazing !!

Loree and the entire gances crew catered my 160 person wedding. I had a lot of special requests, and a lot of ideas, and loree and team made it all come out perfect !! Everyone loved the food , and we even had a late night food truck they did for us with pretzels and chicken strips !!we had 3 plated meal options, a huge harvest/charcuterie table, and passed apps! It was the best day ever, and I couldn’t have done it without Gances :)

Fantastic Caterer!

Gance's Complete Catering was wonderful from start to finish. This was a destination wedding for my daughter, and Loree made me feel so at ease with everything and coordinated with the tableware rental agency as well as assisted with the dessert table and table arrangements. All of the food was delicious, and I highly recommend the butternut squash soup as it received many compliments! Prices were also very reasonable. I highly recommend Gances!

Highly recommend

Gance's Complete Catering went above and beyond for our wedding! We wanted a pig roast, buffet style dinner. Not only did we get the pork (a whole pig for the visual of a pig roast as well), but also 2 other entrées, sides, soda & assorted pie for dessert.
The pork was delicious. The Cornell chicken and apple pie were to die for & everything else was so good. Several guests have complimented the food or asked who catered the wedding. No one went away hungry or dissatisfied.

Loree and Christian were so friendly and helpful throughout the whole process from planning to the wedding itself. I can't thank them and their staff enough.

Exceptional!

We used Gance’s to cater our wedding and couldn’t be more happy. They were a true delight to work with, especially Loree!

Highlights: wonderful food, attentive service, and great communication. The steaks with herb butter had a wonderful charred flavor, the salmon was perfectly cooked and served with a scrumptious cream pesto, and the stuffed acorn squash was beautifully presented, well-seasoned, and very tasty.   

While the day-of was superb, what we really appreciated about Gance’s was their willingness to collaborate, and lock in the taste and style that we wanted to serve. Our first tasting with them didn’t quite align with what we were looking for—but we offered feedback (on things like cook temperatures, salt levels, etc.). They listened, fully incorporated the feedback, then executed flawlessly at scale for our 134 guests.  

It was a joy to work with Gance’s, and I would partner with them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

Loree & The team made this my favorite experience on planning my wedding!

I had the honor of working with Loree who made this experience easy, breezy and fun! She took my vision and made it happen along side Brandi & the crew!!!! They offered many options that worked well for us. Our tasting was relaxed and delicious and had us looking forward to the wedding. For our menu we chose chicken antonia, salmon, pesto penne, roasted potatoes, and grilled vegetables. Everything the day of was excellent, even after a decent travel time. Gance's also provided a harvest table spread for our cocktail hour, which the guests loved. We appreciated that Gance's set up our tables beautifully, including finishing our centerpieces and lighting candles before the meal. The staff were professional and attentive the whole time.

Disney COVID Wedding- 10.10.2020

Santino from Gances was excellent to work with! Planning a wedding in the middle of a global pandemic is definitely not the easiest or idealist thing to do, but they were incredibly flexible. Between us making venue changes and all the last minute changes that happened, they were very patient and accommodating. The food was delicious as well. My favorite was the Chipolte shrimp hors d'oeuvres! They were incredible! I am so glad I had them for our wedding caterers.

Would hire Gance’s again in a second!

My sister-in-law found Gance’s on Wedding Wire when my wedding venue cancelled last minute! From the start, Santino was so helpful! He was VERY responsive to emails and text messages, which I love about a business. We decided on the wedding package and that was definitely the right decision! This package came with a coordinator for the day of the wedding, which is where we met Andrew and staff! Andrew was friendly, helpful and more than we could have ever asked for along with the staff who were also very gracious! The food was PHENOMENAL! We had caprese and antipasto skewers and burger sliders for cocktail hour, they saved me and my now husband a plate to enjoy before dinner since we were busy getting pictures during cocktail hour! For dinner we picked chicken suzann, citrus pork loin, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and grilled veggies! The Mac and cheese was some of the best I have had in a long time! We would hands down book with Gance’s again in a second! Thank you Santino, Andrew and crew for making our day so great!

Accommodating!!

We had run into some issues with our previous caterer so needed to find one in a short time period- we contacted Gance’s and they were awesome enough to meet with us in the drop of a hat (as we are not from the area). We signed contracts and put down a deposit that day. Fast forward a few months, and due to COVID-19, we had to change our wedding date. Unfortunately, Gance’s was not available so they were nice enough to refund our deposit paid without an issue. Even though we weren’t able to use the as our caterer, they were super accommodating and for that we rate them highly.

Amazing Experience

Gance's was wonderful to work with. They catered our NYE wedding and were all extremely helpful and fair. We were able to access our venue 4 days before the wedding for setup and they came up to Syracuse to make sure everything on their end was taken care of.

Once at the wedding, people raved about the food all night. We had a wedding of close to 250 and know that keeping food hot & tasty is no easy task but Gance's did it flawlessly!

Santino & crew, thank you for all of your help and service. It was a pleasure to work with you all and we would recommend you to all of our friends going through the wedding process in upstate NY!

Wedding Catering

Our guests said dinner was one of the best they've had at a wedding. Gance's was the absolute best price for all you got. I couldn't believe their prices when I was searching for a caterer and the quality of food. Just amazing. They're flexibility was superb - they allowed us to choose 3 meat dishes and a limited number of vegetarian dishes for the few people who are vegetarian. In fact, they EVEN made it vegan! They also let my husband and I have a mix of all the choices. My only complaint from that is they didn't give us 2 plates to eat from. Unfortunately, I did not get any of the food during cocktail hour because I was taking photos, but the guests said all the food (e.g. meats and cheese, fruits, some passed hors d'oeuvres etc.) was very good.
Staff was very professional from my point of view - I had no complaints. They made sure my husband and I were happy, wrapped up the cake, and served everyone efficiently. Dinner was on time, and to my knowledge, everyone got what they ordered. The kids' meals were PERFECT for our small guests.
Santino was very professional to work with and made things easy. Our tasting a few months before the wedding was fabulous.

Simply wonderful

Gance’s was super helpful and thorough with every detail of our special day. Everyone loved the food. The staff was helpful and friendly. They were transparent about pricing which was very reasonable considering the level of services and quality of food! They even helped me nail down other vendors as I was a little clueless about some of the planning components. I can’t say enough good things about Gance’s!

Excellent all-around!

Gance's came recommended for our son's outside wedding and they didn't disappoint! They provided a tasting (which others wouldn't do until we signed a contract), and kept in contact with us to work out all the intricate details (that we never would have thought of ourselves), and of course the food was great as was the staff. Some unexpected guests arrived and they quickly made arrangements for seating without notice and they helped us with other last-minute items (our fault; not theirs for being last-minute). The entire event was an above-average cost (the entire event; NOT Gance's cost) so we had high expectations and Gance's met our expectations.

Fantastic food!

Gance's was an amazing choice for catering our wedding! The staff was very friendly and helpful and our event coordinator, Danielle was absolutely wonderful! We can't forget about the most important part, the food was delicious! Even better than our scheduled tasting. We chose a buffet dinner with a meat carving station and it worked perfectly for us. 10 out of 10 would book again!

Impeccable Service

I worked directly with Santino, the owner, for a majority of my needs. He was extremely professional and accommodating. After having a terrible experience with a different vendor at our tasting, Santino went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable with the food and the servers as we have many food allergies amongst our guests. We also got our linens through Gance's and after a small hiccup in the linen order, he sent an employee directly to our hotel with the correct linens so we would have them in time to decorate the venue. If that's not SERVICE, idk what is. Also the food was impeccable and I'm still getting stellar compliments on our decision to go with the prime rib, chicken marsala and stuffed shells. We also had the parmesan potatoes and mixed veggies, both were out of this world delicious! And can't forget about the horsdeouvres...we had teriyaki beef skewers and sliders....I'm salivating just thinking about all the yummy food. And their prices were extremely reasonable as well. I would HIGHLY recommend Gances for your catered event!!!

Perfect partnership!

With so much to do, it was important that our caterer be prepared for anything - because the wedding was at a zoo! Who else but the great Santino (and our new best friend Katie) would have been able to pull off an amazing dinner for 100+ guest, help with logistics and everything else in between, and prepare food that could have come out of a starred restaurant (instead of a barn!) We started with family style salad (which was farm fresh, crunchy, elegant and yet home style.) Went with their "famous" chicken piccata and salmon, roasted veggies, green beans and scalloped potatoes. But, there are many other options to choose from. This is a company that cares about their customers, and was always there to provide guidance, support (and did I mention flexibility and creativity) through the entire process. You won't go wrong with them.

Mother of the Bride

We cannot say enough about our experience with Gance’s Catering. My daughter had secured another caterer and upon meeting with him, we were so disappointed. We made a call to Santino from Gance’s, and he met with us immediately! He sat with us and talked us through our options, he never pressured us or tried to upsell. He took the time to listen to our vision for the day and did everything he could to see it come to fruition.
Santino was in constant communication with us... when we had a question (we had many), he responded almost immediately and always made us feel as if we were his only client.
On the day of the event, the staff from Gance’s were professional and so accommodating. They went above and beyond, even making suggestions to help the event run smoothly, such as moving the coffee bar inside after the food was served. Not only did they suggest that, but they moved the entire coffee bar and set it up beautifully.
We had passed and stationed appetizers and a buffet dinner. All the items were displayed beautifully and absolutely delicious. There was SO much food!
I would recommend Gance’s Catering for any event and especially for something as special as your wedding. They did an outstanding job and I intend to work with them in the future for all of my catering needs.

We are very pleased that we choose Gance’s as the caterer for my Daughter recent wedding. They where helpful and professional from beginning to end.

Santino was extremely helpful and when you emailed him questions he often was back to you within the hour.

We enjoyed the tasting and it was very helpful in making our food chooses. The food was delicious and we received so many compliments from our guests.

Also I cannot say enough good things about our Catering coordinator Jasmine who help us cordinate everything with our venue and who was the at our event making sure everything ran smoothly she is just amazing.
We absolutely would use Gance’s again and recommend them to family and friends.

Gance's did a fantastic job catering our wedding at Stewart Park in Ithaca, NY. The food was absolutely phenomenal and the service was really seamless. They handled so much behind the scenes for our special day! The only thing I would ask in the future is to set aside some appetizers for the bridal party or at least bride and groom - we were so looking forward to those and really sad we missed out on them. Our guests agreed that everything was amazing and so professionally handled. Steve in particular was excellent! We will recommend Gances to everyone!

Gances was a great choice of vendor for our wedding caterer. We were planning the wedding from another state and Santino made sure to accommodate our tasting on short notice while we were in town visiting for 2 days. They were responsive throughout the planning process, coordinated our rentals including the place settings, bar and bar bartenders, glasses, and station style dinner. They facilitated getting a second bar and staff for it the week of the wedding when we decided to make the last minute addition. We met with Rita the day before the wedding to go over everything in the venue. She was fantastic and ready for anything the day of the wedding. She made sure the dessert table was ready to go when we wanted it to and made sure our outside vendor donuts were displayed beautifully! She made sure my husband and I had plates as dinner started so we could maximize our time visiting with guests and still get to eat. We have heard numerous times that the food and the selection was great! The Vegetarians in the crowd were especially raving because there were a lot of choices that were fresh and delicious. Definitely worth every penny and a great value for the wonderful service. Thanks Gances! Next time we need a caterer in Binghamton we will use you again!

Santino and his crew were excellent. From the minute I requested a quote from these guys, they made me feel confident that I was in good hands. I appreciated the responsiveness and how accommodating they were for us. They handled everything! I had my reception at Six Mile Creek Vineyard and this was the first time the owners worked with Gance's. They loved them. They were so easy to work with, they were on time, they brought enough staff to the reception, and made everything smooth sailing. I did not have to worry about a thing! And of course the food was great and they are very reasonably priced. I know the winery will be putting Gance's on their list of preferred caterers to work with. For all you future brides, if you want to remain stress free in regards to the food, pick Gance's. They were great with communication and very flexible. I never had to worry.

We used Gances for our annual PTA Dinner Auction a few weeks ago in DeWitt, Ny. The event went extremely well but the most complimented part of our event was by far Gances complete catering. They did an AMAZING job. Everyone was amazing to work with. They walked in and we immediately did not have to worry about them at all. They were calm, they knew what they were doing, they were polite, and the food was AMAZING! As a control freak I will stress that we did not have to worry about them at all. They were very nice and easy to work with. The food was very good and all of our guests enjoyed it. We are very happy we went with a Gances for our wedding reception. We recommend Gances to anyone with a catering need!

Gance's absolutely made our day! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! I'm pretty picky and had a distinct vision of what I wanted for my big day. Gance's made that vision a reality and then some! From the pickle bar, to the elotes and the scrumptious roast pig it was PERFECT! We loved the food, the guests raved about the food and Ruth made everything perfect. I planned the wedding from Wyoming and by the time I arrived in New York I felt like the Gance's team was family. Their attention to detail was impeccable. Worth every penny!

Our daughter's wedding was last weekend (10/8/16) and it turned out wonderfully, in a very large part due to Gance's Catering. The experience, support and professionalism of Ruth and Santino shined throughout all the stages of bringing our big day together. We held a tent wedding in a field in a very rural area (water had to be brought in and a generator for electricity) and this did not present any problem or impact the high quality of service we received. Ruth and Santino were helpful, detailed, responsive and their prices were very reasonable given the quality of the food - which, by the way, was delicious! We had stations where chefs prepared individual pasta dishes and prime rib for each of our guests. It was very elegant and we received many many compliments and inquiries regarding the food, which made us proud and happy that everyone enjoyed their meals. My husband and I highly recommend Gance's for any type of catered event and will definitely be a repeat customer in the future.

Gance's was perfect for catering our wedding reception! We had the reception outside, which was not a problem as they had a tent with sides to do all the prep work out of the way of the guests. We worked with Ruth for the tasting, picking the menu, and she coordinated our event. She was awesome, giving great advice and always responded to emails quickly. She even offered to use compostable plates for the appetizers as my husband and I are trying to be more eco-friendly! The food itself was delicious, everyone loved it and the leftovers froze well and were still delicious after the honeymoon! We did buffet style and had a lot of leftovers, safe to say no one left hungry!

Gance's Gatering went above and beyond for our wedding! They were the friendliest people to deal with and when your planning a wedding that isn't always the case. Ruth and Santino always answered any questions we had promptly and didn't act like we were bothering them. They helped us pick a menu that suited us and our budget and everything was amazing! We still receive complaints about the food at our wedding and are so glad we chose Gance's for our wedding catering. We would highly recommended to anyone, thank you helping us enjoy one of the best day of our lives :D

Glances to the rescue! Two weeks before my daughters wedding we discovered our previously booked caterer was a fraud. A quick Google search yielded Gances and one phone call later, we were in great hands. At our remote state park with few amenities, Gances made it happen in a beautiful way. Delicious food and elegant, professional set-up.

Everything for my mother's retirement party was PERFECT! Working with Santino & Ruth was a delight! The food was amazing -- people are still talking about it -- and they were so accommodating (especially for a picky eater...my husband!). From the second I contacted Gance's about our wedding they have been extraordinary! Ruth was always professional and prompt in correspondence.
The day of our wedding Claire kept everything and everyone on point, the event staff attentive to every guest. And the most important part the food was simply fantastic! All our guest raved about everything they served and how much there was! Our dj commented that out of the dozens of weddings he does a year this buffet was by far one of the best.
If you want to truly enjoy your day Gance's will make that happen! I can't thank them enough!

Ruth, Santino and Danielle were wonderful. We wanted a tapas dinner for our wedding reception, and we were targeting 10-12 different food items, small plates, the whole intent being for people to share, try different things, and overall keep a low key atmosphere. Well, the staff at Gance's was great. Ruth and Santino provided a lot of guidance, asking the right questions and helping us figure out the logistical details. Unlike other places who refused to provide this level of variety for such a small wedding (50 guests), Gance's was happy to help us and gave us the professional service and responsiveness that I would have expected for a 300 guest-wedding. And they accommodated our very non-traditional venue - the North Point shelter at Taughannock State Park (basically a big barn with no water or gas). On the day of, despite raining and last minute changes to the schedule, Danielle handled everything professionally and brought the schedule back on track, to make up for the rain-caused delay. She and the other guys did a wonderful job arranging everything beautifully, and were attentive and courteous with the guests. They even accommodated my friend, who is a strict vegan, with her own meal and desert, prepared and transported separately. I can't say enough about how great they were! If I were to organize a comparable party in the area, I wouldn't hesitate even a second to call them!

We had Gance's cater our wedding in June 2015 and couldn't be happier! We were able to focus on getting married and they did the rest. The food was incredible! We had lots to spare, and it froze well, yummy!
The entire experience from start to finish was excellent, they were very flexible in accommodating our tastings early on in planning the wedding. Ruth was extremely responsive with any questions we had, which was an issue we had with most of our other vendors; she also worked very well with the venue staff to make sure the evening went smoothly. They even included some craft beer they had on hand (even though we never ordered it), all the guests loved it!

Gance's Complete Catering was an excellent choice for our outdoor wedding. They provided us with a 100% vegetarian menu (stuffed pepper, stuffed portobello, and lasagna). Even our meat loving friends LOVED all of the food! They were able to work well with the outdoor venue, which didn't exactly have easy access to water and facilities. They were very flexible and accommodating when things were running a little behind. All staff were friendly and great to work with! I would definitely recommend them for anyone's event!

I had Gance's cater my wedding in Trumansburg, NY. They were so amazing, everything was absolutely delicious and the staff was very attentive and friendly. They even helped out with the decor which was super helpful considering my husband and I planned and organized everything ourselves. I would definitely suggest Gance's for any event from formal to casual not only was the price completely reasonable they were really great work with and they made sure that I was completely happy with everything. They were also really flexible with me when I needed it, it was a really stressful time and they gave me some much needed slack.
I even had them make me 2 quiches which they brought to the wedding for the brunch we threw at our house the next day. It was very last minute and they came through again. They did a great job!

Gance's catered my wedding that was outdoors. We had no water source and that was no problem for them. I chose to do buffet style which was delicious! Part of their services is setting up the reception area including table cloths and center pieces. They did a fantastic job. Danielle was my coordinator and was very easy to work with. She came to me throughout the night and made sure everything was fine. Her staff did a great job clearing the tables and I barely knew they were there. I would highly recommend them.

Our experience with Gance's was wonderful. The food was perfect, the service was professional (sit down service), and the price was very reasonable. I don't think there is any room for improvement with Gance's. I strongly recommend Gance's for any catering need.

Gance's is the perfect catering company for a bride on a limited budget. They will work with you to arrange a meal that will fit your projected costs. If you do not have a wedding planner working for you, it is to your benefit to use this company, as they provide full service staff for up to seven hours and a project coordinator to see that your reception meal runs smoothly. I chose their Grand Traditional Buffet, which is only $14.95 per person, along with the usual service fees and taxes, and we fed 190 people for actually just under $4,000.00. The buffet included two main entrees and three side dishes. Along with the buffet they provided sit-down service for the head table and they served a fruit cup, the bread & salad, water and coffee family style, and provided a cake cutting service free of charge. The project coordinater I worked with is named Tawny, and she was so convenietly available to me that she offered up her cell phone number the first day we began the planning process.

Gance's jumped into our wedding late (about 8 months prior to the event) after another vendor suddenly dropped out on us. We think in many ways that this was the best thing that could have happened for our wedding. Gance's was professional, attentive, and the quality of service was fantastic. The food was delicious as well - they even provided us with a tasting and had many options to choose from. Excellent value and wonderful people to work with. Definitely use Gance's for your wedding!!!

Gance’s: Friendly, Delicious, Flexible, Professional, Responsive

Gance’s Catering was a fantastic choice for us. The organizer/office manager was terrific in every way, and got all our questions answered quickly and made sure our needs were all met. We live in Ithaca and Gance’s Catering even made two trips to our site in Ithaca the day of the wedding, making sure that way that the salmon and other dinner foods were very fresh. They changed their offerings, at our request, to reflect a menu reflecting health-food oriented requests (different salad greens, no sugar in the salad dressing, whole grain rolls, gluten-free appetizers, fresh fruit on the harvest table, etc.), and made special entrees for those with vegetarian needs. Communication was always quick and excellent. The actual catering service was outstanding, even taking care of high winds that knocked over a vase of flowers! The staff helped with everything! I highly recommend them. I can’t emphasize enough how helpful it was to me, the bride, that they responded very quickly, were friendly and were easy to deal with throughout the whole process! They let us take leftovers home as we had coolers with ice ready to do so safely, and even provided containers!

Great catering service for our outdoor wedding. Good value for money.

This catering service was excellent for our needs. We are from Canada and had no idea what to expect at my daughter’s recent wedding in East Branch N.Y. Everything was exactly as quoted, food was good, hot and very plentiful. Service was professional, on time and beautifully served.. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

We have nothing but extremely positive things to say about our event! Everyone raved about the on site barbecue and menu! The food was hot, delicious and well presented. No one went home hungry! The staff were courteous, professional and attentive to us and the guests. We had a small mix up with our linen order the day before but it was resolved immediately with the staff going out of their way to make things work out. Overall, Gance's was great. Santino was very quick to respond to our calls an emails from the very beginning. The prices were reasonable and the food was delicious at the tasting. The included day of coordinator (Katie) was an amazing added value to our wedding package, and our day would have been a lot more stressful without her! The only complaints we had were with the quality of food on the day of our wedding. At our tasting, everything was incredible. At the wedding, we found that the chicken was overdone, the steak was very overdone and chewy, and we were given penne in marinara sauce instead of vodka sauce as we had requested. I understand that making food in large quantities is difficult, but the difference in taste between what we tasted in July before our wedding and what showed up on our plates was vastly different. However, all negative things aside, I would still book Gance's for my wedding if I had to do it over again. Their staff was outstanding, and everyone we worked with was so willing to help us. Santino was awesome about helping us figure out what pieces we needed to rent from our rental company, and was very responsive from the beginning right up until the wedding day. I would recommend Gance's to any bride in the Oneonta/Binhamton area!

These are great people. You really get your moneys worth. I was working on a budget that was under 10k and we were able to get a high quality meal for a low cost. They were very good when it came to me asking them the same questions over and over again because I had forgotten their response. The entire time they were very open and willing to work with me.
