Gambinos made the cake of my dreams. I planned my wedding from out of town and honestly have them little guidance. The three tiered cake was beyond stunning. The size of the cake honestly blew me away in a good way. The cake took up the whole table and was so tall. It made all the photos pop and tasted amazing. Good price point and elegant design. Very tasty. Recommend this New Orleans staple highly.

I loved working with Gambino's to design my wedding cake. The staff made our tasting such a fun, easy experience. When we had to downsize due to COVID-19 restrictions, Gambino's was very understanding and accommodating. They flawlessly managed delivery even when our venue location changed three times in the month before wedding day. The cake not only looked perfect, but it tasted AMAZING! I highly recommend Gambino's for all your baking needs. I cannot wait to eat our wedding cake again on our anniversary.

Gambino's did a three tier naked cake for us, plus a confetti and red velvet cake for each side to add some other options. All of the cakes were delicious! And working with the team there was very easy, including delivery on the day of and scheduling a tasting in the middle of a pandemic. Thanks for making the wedding cake process so easy!

We LOVED working with Gambino's Bakery. When we initially went for tasting, the workers were all incredibly sweet and helped us to decide on exactly what we wanted. They even let us take home our left overs which were three small cakes that we could let our family and friends taste as well! Unfortunately, we had to postpone our wedding from May 30 until October 10 due to the coronavirus. Gambino's Bakery was super understanding and put us down for our new date. Come wedding week, Hurricane Delta decided to rip through Louisiana on the Friday and our wedding was the Saturday. Eli stayed in touch with my mother-in-law through out the week and assured her that he would go to the bakery himself on Friday to make the cake. So sweet! On the day of the wedding, we were told that our reception would not be able to take place due to the town being put under an 8PM curfew. My mother-in-law spoke with Eli on the Saturday 5 hours before the wedding to explain the situation. Again, Eli was super understanding and assured her that he would be there Sunday morning to drop off our cake. Not only did he drop off the cake but he decorated our cake with the flowers from our florist! Not only was our cake beautiful but it tasted just as amazing. We went with an almond cake with cream cheese filling and vanilla custard filling in the tiers. We love Gambino's Bakery and would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. Genuine and kind-hearted people with an amazing business.

Most people are familiar with Gambinos for their famous King Cakes but they also do wedding cakes. Gambinos did a great job with our almond and buttercream two tier wedding cake. They provided tasting samples which helped us to pick flavors and recommended sizes based on our guest count. The cake turned out beautifully and many guests remarked that it was the best tasting wedding cake they ever had. We highly recommend Gambino's for any of your bakery needs.

Taco 'bout an amazing bakery!
Gambino's Bakery did both our Groom's cake and dessert table for our wedding. Our wedding was a destination wedding, so I communicated with Gambino's only through phone and email. They were super quick to respond and always very informative.
I surprised my husband with a Groom's cake... and let's just say that the cake that Gambino's Bakery designed stole the show. Several months before the wedding, I asked if they could make my husband a Taco Bell cake (that's his favorite place to eat) and sent them several inspiration pictures. It was a huge hit. All of the vendors were crazy about it...even Taco Bell commented about the cake. We can't thank you enough! We highly recommend.

We loved our wedding cakes from Gambino's! The cake tasting experience was very enjoyable and easy. They took the time to go over all the options and details. I called the bakery as we got closer to make some tweaks, and they confirmed all the details again with me to ensure we had it all correct. We picked the yellow wedding cake with buttercream frosting and raspberry filling. It was delicious! We also got a king cake tower as our grooms cake with cream cheese filling. Both cakes were a big hit! The designs were beautiful and exactly what we wanted.

Gambinos made the most amazing cake for our wedding. I cannot recommend them enough. We went to several other places for tasting, and there is no comparison. We had a 2 layer cake, with chocolate cake and strawberry filling for one layer and butter cake with pineapple filling for the other layer. The butter cake with pineapple filling was out of this world, it went so fast! The chocolate with strawberry filling was also amazing. They were so easy to work with. I showed them a few inspiration photos and they created such a beautiful cake. I got so many complements on it.

Parents' 50th Anniversary party.
I hosted a destination 50th anniversary party for my folks in New Orleans and needed a reliable source for their cake. I wanted it to be somewhat like what they had at their wedding 50 years ago, but it also had to be delicious! Gambinos was responsive and delivered a fantastic looking cake and it was also delish! (You know it's good when you catch the catering staff snagging pieces behind the bar after the guests have all been fed, and they tell you it's fantastic!). I went with traditional buttercream silver cake, with lemon in one tier and raspberry in the other. They also provided a separate Doberge cake and decorated it as well. 5 stars!

I went to a couple different places to try cakes, and this definitely topped everyone! The cake turned out absolutely beautiful and on top of that it tasted amazing!! It is a little pricey... but all wedding cakes are lol If you need a wedding cake in the New Orleans area, get it from Gambino's!!!

The cake was beautiful and was exactly what we wanted. It tasted amazing too and stayed fresh for a long time. I didn't get to try the other tiers until a couple of days after the wedding and it was still fresh. I highly recommend getting your cake from Gambino's!

Our Gambino's cakes were beautiful and delicious! We received compliments on both the entire night. Really. Of all the gorgeous decorations, lovely ceremony, MY DRESS... I heard more about those yummy cakes! Every detail reviewed during our initial appointment were precisely applied to the finished cakes for our wedding day. They were on time, professional and incredibly friendly. I have no idea how they do it all, but Gambino's was definitely my favorite vendor to work with. Thank y'all! I wish I could give more that 5 stars.

Jackie Sue with Gambino's was very quick to respond to email requests for a quote for my wedding cake. She listened to Evermore Weddings and Events, Cathy Jane's direction and took the ball. We came in with pictures of the bride and groom cake we wanted and they did an immaculate job at recreating our vision into a delicious edible piece of true artwork! I grew up having Gambino’s cakes for my birthday and other special occasions and knew that when it came to our wedding, I wanted to have a Gambino’s cake. But sticking with planning protocol, we lined up a few tastings and wanted to make sure we could get what we wanted within our budget. Our first stop and last stop was Gambino’s. The cakes are just delicious (we highly recommend the german chocolate cake). Jackie-Sue and the Gambino’s team worked diligently with us to get us what we wanted within our budget and the cake was even more beautiful than we imagined. They even worked with us wanting to make our own cake topper and helped us integrate that into the cake in advance to take it off of our plates. If the cake and service isn’t enough to convince you… walk into Gambino’s and take stock of their years of service sign, which recognizes staff that have been with the bakery for 57 years, 40+ years and 30+ years. We had a such a blast picking out our wedding cakes (we had 2). We chose the Armadillo Roadkill cake and it was a hit at our wedding. It was delicious, everyone loved it's design. I cant express enough how much I appreciate Gambinos Bakery. They helped make our marine corps wedding so special by incorporating the emblem in the grooms cake and making the brides cake rustic and elegant. The cake was amazing and everyone loved it. Gambino's wedding cake is the BEST in New Orleans! I went to four different bakeries and Gambino's is number one in my book. I had three different flavors in my wedding cake and all three were a hit. If you are a carrot cake fan, they have the best I have ever eaten. They also rent cake stands at a reasonable price and are open on Sunday's.

Everything was great! I completed my tasting and ordered my cake from the Baton Rouge location and Paul assisted me with my order. Since I was getting married in Lafayette once we finalized everything he submitted my order to the Lafayette location via email and cc'd me on it. When I went in to make payment at the Lafayette location there were no problems. They found my paperwork and re-confirmed everything with me. The process was seamless! My cake was nicely set up at the reception venue once we arrived. The only thing that I found quirky was that Paul suggested going against black buttercream icing for the cake (I had a split cake...half wedding dress/half tuxedo), so we decided to do the entire cake in ivory buttercream icing so that the black frosting wouldn't cause a mess. When I saw the cake it was half ivory/half black (tuxedo), which was fine with me. It looked LOVELY and none of my guests complained about getting the icing everywhere. So it worked our anyways! :)

Gambinos helped us put together a wedding pie table on Pi Day (3.14.15!). From start to finish, they were super to work with. Jackie-Sue helped us with a pie tasting, and was super responsive to all of my questions and ideas over email. They handled our wedding with care, and were incredibly friendly and helpful. To top it off, EVERYONE raved about the pies at the wedding, they were a huge hit! Especially the Bourbon Pecan and Chocolate Pecan. I would highly recommend Gambinos to anyone!

Gambino\'s Bakery was very fun to work with. The owner Paul was hilarious and friendly but payed close attention to detail. I told him a general idea for my groom cake and he took my idea and took it to another level. At least 40 people at the wedding told me my king cake design was the best groom cake they\'ve seen. All of the guests told me how good it was with double filled cream cheese with pecans. \r\n\r\nMy wife wedding cake was elegant and classy. The design was flawless, looked enormous, and the craftsmanship of the small details made the cake amazing. Not to mention the taste, Oh My Lord, the cake was the best we\'ve ever had. No other bakery in town can compete with the taste, I mean nobody. I seen some family members get 2 and 3 plates full of wedding cake and king cake, lol. Thank God they had a little left over so we can enjoy the cake in the next few days.\r\n\r\n I highly recommend Gambino\'s Bakery on Perkins Road. I will use no other vendor to design any cake design UNLESS it\'s Gambino\'s Bakery, NO exceptions. Cakes arrived early and made beautiful presentations which the photographers commented on. Thanks for making our wedding special, elegant, and adding memories we\'ll never forget.

As an OOT bride, we ordered our wedding cake from Gambino's without doing a tasting. I emailed them a few inspiration pics, number of guests, and asked for their advice on "best" or "most popular" flavors. We went with the Almond flavor with three different fillings (one for each layer). We chose strawberry cheesecake, buttercream, and chocolate. The execution of the cake was just as we asked, beautifully done, and the cake was delicious!

Best Cake in Lafayette. The wedding cake was beautiful and delicious and so was the groom's cake. My son-in-law loved his saints coffee mug, he said it looked so real.

One of our wedding cakes came from Gambino's. What a treat! Too bad none was left to take home. Loved their service and pricing was reasonable.

We used Gambino's Bakery in Baton Rouge, La and the cakes were provided through our venue The Gatehouse. Our wedding cake and groom's cake were sooo delicious!! Very fresh and beautiful! We got many compliments on how good it was!

Great service and amazing cakes! We just sent them a screen shot of an image for our grooms cake and they did an amazing job. Very professional and fun at the tastings. They also helped make goodies for our out of town guests.

You can spend twice as much but you will never have a cake as good as the one from Gambino's. It was delicious and JackieSue was very easy to work with. She took a very hands on approach and even helped us incorporate a design from a photo. The cakes on display don't even give a hint at what they can do. This is the third wedding cake that they have made for our family and each was great.

My wedding cake was so beautiful, delicious, and moist. I had 3 tiers with two satellites on the sides. I brought in my silk ribbons and flowers to the baker, and she did exactly what I envisioned. The compliments on my wedding cake were extended throughout the event. I can't wait until my 1st year anniversary to eat the top piece! Lol

Gambino's Bakery of Lafayette gave me my perfect wedding cakes. I ordered a three tiered Super Mario themed bridal cake and an original NES controller themed groom's cake. They were both absolutely gorgeous. Every guest LOVED the detail put into the design. The cakes were delicious and very reasonably priced. Gambino's even delivered almost 40 miles away. My friend also used Gambino's a month before for her own (more traditional) wedding cake and groom's cake, and I have to say those were amazing too. I would definitely recommend Gambino's to anyone. They basically took a picture I found and turned it into reality. Fantastic work! (btw the cream cheese and pecan filling is just scrumptious!!)

I planned my wedding completely long-distance, from Colorado, for a New Orleans wedding. I stumbled upon Gambino's and heard from friends that they have the best cake in town. They were sooo right. We were on a small budget for a small-ish wedding, so we ordered a 14" round instead of a wedding cake, and asked them to add some splashes of color to match our cake topper. When we picked it up on the morning of our wedding, we were so impressed at the size and beauty of the cake. It turned out gorgeous. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, and were very excited for our wedding. Then when the cake cutting came around, our friends and family just demolished the thing - it tasted like heaven (we didn't get fondant - we got buttercream icing with almond cake). Thankfully there was some left over to take on our honeymoon - during the travel catastrophe we experienced, it was awesome to have some Gambino's cake waiting for us in our carry-ons. I highly recommend using them for your wedding.

Gambino's is the premier bakery in the New Olreans area. We have bought cakes from them for years. When my daughter moved her wedding to New Orleans we knew who to get the wedding cake from. It was the freshest cake you ever ate. It was a Doberge cake which is simply delicious. It was such a beautiful cake as well. I would recommend this bakery to anyone in the area.

The cake was UM UM GOOD! I came in at 3 weeks before my wedding to order the cake and paid for the cake the day before and the cake was ready when they said it would be and it was yummy! Thank you Gambino's!
