We worked with Gabriele for our wedding this past June and her work was absolutely stunning! From the start she was responsive and timely with communication and very easy to work with. We had a few phone conversations to discuss flowers and details. I knew some of the flowers that I wanted to include but relied mainly on inspiration pictures. Gabriele was able to combine my inspiration photos and ideas with her professional knowledge to create beautiful pieces. She designed our bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, arch pieces, and all of the centerpieces. The flowers were beautiful and went with our colors perfectly. The bouquets were well arranged and photographed beautifully. Gabriele did all of the set up day of, and made sure that everything was set just like we discussed. She made it so stress free for us the day of and the arrangements really tied all of our decorations together. We would recommend her to anyone in need of a florist!

Beautiful Flowers that Captured our Vision at a Reasonable Cost
Gabriele was great at looking at our reference images, listening to our vision, and creating flower designs that met our hopes. We were also keen to stay on budget but really wanted a few key elements, like a cascade bouquet for the bride. She was able to help the event feel full of beautiful rich color without an exorbitant cost. The cascade bouquet was gorgeous, the boutineers and corsages for the family were just the perfect touch of color and the tables felt bright without being overcrowded. She was efficient and didn't require a ton of follow up. Would definitely recommend for your wedding or event!

From start to finish Gabriele was incredibly easy to work with. I was so impressed at how she was able to answer each and every one of my questions in my (one of many) lengthy emails to her. I found Gabriele just a couple months before my wedding in September, and I was so lucky too! I struggled to find a florist that had my date available and/or worked at a reasonable price. When I contacted Gabriele not only did she respond quickly but she was extremely helpful in helping me design my flowers based off my taste and also worked within my budget. I had a small, initimate wedding back in April 2021 and Gabriele was very accommodating with my request. I only needed a bride’s buoquet and a groom’s bouttonierre and her prices were reasonable. It was challenging to find a florist because most offered packages with bridesmaid’s buoquets etc. I sent her a sample photo of the buoquet I wanted and it was perfect! She delivered the flowers personally on the day of the wedding and even attached the charm with my dad’s picture that me and my sisters have been passing along to each other (our something blue).

My experience working with Gabriele was great! I shared photos of what I had in mind and she talked me through what each flower was and we were able to pick and choose a range of flowers from my vision to make the color schemes I wanted work within my budget. I had on October wedding and wanted fall colors but not to look like Halloween and Thanksgiving took over. We chose beautiful cantaloupe, oranges, blush and deep red colors and they came out beautifully. The flowers really set the tone and helped warm up my venue.

We used Gabriele’s Hand Designs for our flowers and we could not be more pleased. We came to her with some ideas and pictures for what we liked and she delivered arrangements that were more beautiful than we expected. She and her team were prompt and seamless with setting everything up and we were appreciative that she worked with our budget with all the chaos of planning a wedding during COVID.

Gabriele is wonderful, we got marred during the pandemic (6/14/20) and Gabriele was so accommodating as ew had to reschedule and then cancel our reception for which she was also doing arrangements for. She did create a beautiful bouquet and hairpieces for myself, mother and niece and the boutonnieres were wonderful. When my mother and I met with her she listened to my vision and showed us reference pictures for some ideas. She also worked well within our small budget.

Beatiful bouqet, bridesmaids flower and ceremony set up!
I got married on July 6, 2019 at Saint Clements Castle. I hired Gabriele to do flowers for my wedding that included by bouquet, flowers for my 14 bridesmaids and groomsmen, and lining the aisle with flowers. Everything came out BEAUTIFULLY! Gabriele was extremely professional: she scheduled a time for us to meet and made sure she knew exactly what I wanted for my bouquet and bridesmaids flowers. She had a tons ideas in her portfolio for me to look at, and was able to combine aspects of many bouquets in order to create the perfect one for me. Additionally, I really wanted my bridesmaids to have just ONE large flower. Other vendors told me it would not be possible to find flowers of the size I wanted. However, Gabriele was up to the challenge and made beautiful composite roses (which I had never heard of). She was also very helpful in terms of delivery. I wanted my aisle lined with petals and Gabriele did this and THEN drove to another site where I was doing my first look and family photos to drop off my bouquet and my bridesmaids and groomsmen flowers. Pricing was extremely affordable, and this is in comparison to about 10 other places I considered. I could go on forever about how awesome my experience Gabriele was. Would recommend her services to anyone!

I found Gabriele Hand Designs through Water's Edge venue recommendations and she was absolutely amazing. We communicated mainly through email and text since I was over an hour away. She made it very easy for me to send pictures of what I wanted and discussed several options with me. The flowers were gorgeous the day of my wedding and everything looked perfect. I would highly recommend her for your wedding day if you want the perfect flowers :)

Gabriele is a gem
I can not recommend Gabriele enough. We were married at a vineyard and the romantic, natural look she created could not have been more perfect for the space. I’ve already sent some other friends who are getting married at the same place her way.
She is incredibly thorough and has a genuine concern for your happiness. From the first point of contact, she sent a detailed list of what each element entailed and helped me figure out where to modify to fit my budget, suggesting flowers I might not have considered that would help me get more bang for my buck.
In the end, I sort of let her run with it and the end result was just beautiful.
I had my bouquet made out of seashells and she combined those flowers with such lush greenery and succulents, it blew me away.
Beyond her work, she’s just such an incredible person to work with. In an industry where there are so many options and it’s hard to sift through what’s authentic and what’s a sales pitch, she is just so genuine and kind and REAL. She cares so much about what she does and the result shows.

Gabriele did an amazing job designing my centerpieces, aisle decor and bouqets at my wedding at Wadsworth Mansion on 7.20.2019. It was one of the hottest days of the year and she worked hard to make sure my vision was a reality. Everything she created looked exactly like the photos I had sent her. It was everything I could have envisioned. Also, her price was half of what other florist wanted to charge me. I would highly recommend . She was one of the best vendors that I selected and she did exactly what I had asked for.

Winter Florals
I decided to work with Gabriele based on her kindness, response to emails, and when meeting her seeing her creativity and openness to hearing what I liked. Leading up to the wedding I would email her with any inspo I found and she was always on board with my vision! We had a winter wedding and I requested alot of greenery with hints of burgundy and berries. The bouquets came out beautiful - mine was exactly what I imagined, the bridesmaids however had a bright pink flower in there that I wasn't crazy about.. BUT the bouquets beautiful! Gabriele was on time dropping the bouquets off to my house the day of the wedding. There was some miscommunication with who was purchasing the berries for the centerpieces and when Gabriele left my house to go set up at the venue she actually stopped at a store and picked up cranberries to include in the centerpieces which I am SO appreciative of her doing that! The centerpieces did have that bright pink flower in there but again, the centerpiece as a whole looked great and had TONS of wintry greenery and the berries which I loved! We also had a beautiful garland made for the sweetheart table! Some of the products (clear jars) were rented from Gabriele and she took care of the pick up from the venue the following day which was nice not to have to worry about collecting items and dropping them back to her. I also had a corsage made for a friend which came out very pretty! Gabriele is a lovely woman who understands and works within your vision and budget!!

Gabriele did the bouquet for my wedding as well as flowers for an arbor, which I also rented from her. Everything came out beautifully and I was so happy with the floral arrangements that she made. Before the wedding, she was very helpful in letting me know what flowers were available in my price range based on a picture I brought in of what I wanted. She was able to accommodate my pricing, even using flowers from her own garden. She was on time with delivery on my wedding day and very helpful in moving the arbor from my outdoor ceremony to inside the dining hall, where it served as a backdrop for my head table. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend her for all your wedding needs.

Gabriele is an AMAZING florist! She listened to everything my daughter wanted and over delivered on her vision. I (mother of the bride) live in NY and we weren't able to meet until right before the wedding day. Gabriele took the time to talk through all of the plans made by her and my daughter. On the day of the wedding she decorated the Wadsworth Mansion exactly the way my daughter wanted. I was so excited and proud to have my daughter and her bridal party walk down the aisle with their bouquets. Not to mention the flower girl's crown and boutonnieres for the guys which were just as amazing. Our guest "ooh and aah" over all of the arraignments. I knew Gabriele was truly amazing when a wedding guest who owned a florist shop pulled me aside to expressed how impressed she was with the floral arrangements. The personal flowers, garland, wreaths, and church arrangements were BEAUTIFUL and looked great next to our handmade silk floral centerpieces and bouquets!
Another great touch is Gabriele personally visited all pre-wedding locations (hotel, bride’s house, church, and venue) to make sure everything was perfect and to pin on everyone’s personal flowers! Just the pinning alone is so worth it! Our groomsmen flowers weren’t droopy!! We highly recommend Gabriele's Hand Designs!!

Our flowers were simply amazing. Gabriele was so great to work with. She communicated really well during the planning process and listened and understood exactly what we were looking for. She was able to work within our budget and suggest ways we could get the most out of what we were willing to spend. We never felt like she was trying to get us to spend more and was honest about cost which was very refreshing. The flowers looked absolutely stunning. The centerpieces and bouquet were exactly as we had pictured and her ideas and design for our ceremony was perfect. She was even able to provide little extras outside of normal flowers such as spray painted pumpkins. We highly recommend Gabriele!

Gabriele is unbelievable!!! From emailing back and forth and talking over the vision to the day of - she was amazing. She understood my vision of using gold and going for a Great Gatsby theme. She helped brainstorm and creatively come up with beautiful floral designs and even handmade gold sequin tablecloths and runners for us. The day of, we unfortunately had to move the event inside, but thanks to Gabriele, it was the most beautiful indoor ceremony I have ever seen!!! And when I saw my bouquet (Gabriele personally delivered it to me in my bridal suite), I couldn't help but smile even though I was upset about the rain. Gabriele is amazing. HIGHLY recommend. She made our day beautiful.

Gabriele absolutely nailed our wedding flowers. We gave her a color scheme and provided pictures of our bridal party attire, and she did the rest. Everyone kept telling us how amazing our flowers and colors were!

I just got married yesterday and I have to say my flowers were beautiful. Everyone was commenting on how beautiful the centerpeices were. I went with bright mix of flowers, they were beautiful. I had them on a tall glass cylinder with little twig things inside the cylinder. Gabriele also made our chuppah. It was made of birch and th garland on it was beautiful. My bouquet and all the bridesmaid flowers were amazing. Gabriele had a lot of suggestions and was able to pull what I wanted together. Her prices are very reasonable, and she really put a personal touch on everything. Do no hesitate to book Gabriele.

Gabriele is not just a florist -- she's an artist whose medium is flowers. My fiancée was drawn to Gabriele's work at a bridal expo several months before our July 23 wedding at the Mark Twain House & Museum in Hartford. After meeting with Gabriele at her home, we felt at ease knowing our special day was going to have lovely florals. She took our somewhat vague ideas about wanting shades of purple and a botanical vibe, and knew exactly what do. From the elegant garland that she hung on the Twain porch to both of our bridal bouquets, to the lovely centerpieces to the beautiful display for our sweetheart table... we can go on and on! When we arrived at the venue a little more than an hour before the ceremony, Gabriele already had everything set up. She also placed the flowers on our cake from Modern Pastry. For all the detail and care in choosing and arranging the flowers for our wedding, did we mention that her services were reasonably priced? And she let us keep the lovely little wire basket that she provided to our flower girl for the ceremony.

Gabriele was AMAZING! First let me say that I love flowers and am a bit of a flower snob and Gabriele went entirely above and beyond what I had dreamed of for my wedding flowers. She is such an artist! After sharing a few photos of what I was imagining for my bouquet and the reception decor, she took it from there and honestly gave me even better flowers than I was imagining. She was so kind and easy to work with, extremely responsive and attentive to my sometimes excessive emailing!
I highly highly recommend choosing her to be your florist. She is so reasonably priced, and really helped me to stay within my budget. She also puts a lot of care into her work which is so professional and wonderful. She came to my reception to help set up each and every one of the centerpieces before the ceremony, and pinned all the guys boutonnieres to ensure they looked perfect.
I could go on and on about how much I loved my wedding flowers and how grateful I am to Gabriele for being the best. I researched/spoke with a lot of florists before landing on Gabriele and I hope I can save you the time and energy and just give you the advice to choose her. I promise you won't regret it!

I cannot begin to say enough about Gabriele! From our first time meeting her it was a true match! She immediately helped you feel comfortable and helped you bring your vision to life! Gabriele decorated the venue inside and out with her beautiful flowers and we couldn't have been more pleased! Gabriele kept in touch numerous times throughout the process and made her self available when there were questions. She also hand-made beautiful burlap runners for each of our tables and they came out gorgeous! We cannot thank her enough and cannot say enough good things about her!

Gabriele was AMAZING to work with! We found her through a bridal show and liked her instantly because of the beautiful white birch arch she had on display. WE met a few weeks later at her house and after looking through just a few pins I had on Pinterest, she totally got my style. Gabriele showed us specific flowers in magazines and we pretty much just said yes to everything she suggested. The flowers turned out better than I ever expected, they were the perfect colors and variety of flowers. We even had a slight decrease to our budget a few weeks before the wedding and Gabriele was completely understanding and found us ways to save money with everything still looking perfect.

Gabriele came highly recommended from a coworker, and we echo all of her sentiments! Gabriele was very professional, responding to all questions promptly and courteously. She provided some of the most beautiful flowers at a fraction of the cost of the other florists we looked at. The day of the wedding, she delivered the flowers to the hotel and the church and waited to make sure everything was perfect before leaving. We couldn't recommend Gabriele's Hand Designs more.

Gabriele did an amazing job with the flowers for my wedding. She spent a lot of time with me going over my vision and making sure I chose the right flowers based on what I was looking for. She is very creative and detail-oriented which I appreciated. All the flowers she provided for my wedding were so beautiful! Quite a few guests commented on how much they loved the centerpieces. Gabriele was amazing at taking the ideas I had and turning them into beautiful designs. Gabriele and her staff were absolutely AMAZING. Not to mention the beautiful job they did with my flowers for our wedding. I am not a flower person at all, however, after sitting and meeting with Gabriele she was able to help me choose flowers that were absolutely perfect for me. They were so elegant and I couldn't be more pleased with how they came out. Gabriele and her staff were there before the ceremony to deliver my flowers and help get flowers out to everyone and they even helped get all of the flowers pinned to the guys tuxes. I couldn't be more please with the flowers and the amazing staff. I would recommend Gabriele's Hand Designs over and over again, to absolutely anyone and everyone. They were willing to work with my flower budget, which was not much, and I can't believe how perfect and beautiful they were.

Working with Gabriele was a dream come true. She was able to take all my chaotic visions and piece them together to make all my dreams come true. She was able to help me find the wooden barrels for my center pieces she helped me design every piece of floral décor I would need. She held my hand every step of the way and that was great for me as I am not a creative person. Thank you Gabriele for making all my flower dreams come to life.

Gabriele was wonderful! My sister and I both used her for our weddings in 2013 and 2015. She has been wonderful to work with and her prices cannot be beat! When I would call her often I would have to leave a message, but she would get back to me right away. She was also wonderfully flexible when it came to my budget and arrangements. I was able to change my wants/needs just weeks before my wedding with no problem. The day of our wedding she was on time and prepared. On our wedding day we realized that we had forgotten to order a bouquet to toss at the reception and she went out of her way to go back to her business while the ceremony was going on to make a bouquet for us so that it was ready for our reception. Our flowers were absolutely beautiful. She uses all natural flowers, no dyes what so ever. She was wonderful and we would highly recommend her. My coworker even used her for her wedding one month after mine. She is THE BEST around!

Before our wedding, my fiancee and I looked at a lot of florists websites. We aren't flower experts, but you can just kind of discern quality plants and arrangements, even from photos. When we found Gabriele, located just down the street from us, we met with her and saw some of her work. It appeared to be high quality and had a great look. And her creativity was obvious. You can never be 100 percent sure about your vendors up front, but we just had a feeling after meeting with her that she would deliver. And she certainly did. She drove a car full of flowers nearly two hours to our venue. They were well arranged and looked fantastic, especially since we gave her pretty vague ideas of what we thought we wanted. We left it up to her in a lot of ways and she did a fantastic job. Lots of compliments from guests. Gabriele also realizes that couples sometimes have big eyes and smaller wallets when it comes to flowers. We had to cut some stuff out of the initial agreement in the weeks leading up to the event (maybe 20 percent worth) and she was completely receptive. She also stayed to watch the ceremony, which was nice!

At every consult she listened intently, gathered information and provided feedback to ensure my vision came to life exactly as I wished. It was BETTER than I even imagined. She was competitive with pricing and packed the centerpieces and bouquets full of beautiful flowers and I feel it was a great value for the money. Everyone at the wedding raved about them. Gabriele was amazing to work with! My bouquet was exactly as I pictured and I was extremely happy with all of my bridesmaids' bouquets. Gabriele was able to take everything I told her I loved and wanted and make them into the perfect floral arrangements! We also took a different approach to our centerpieces, and Gabriele was more than willing to work with us. The centerpieces came out amazing! Everyone at our wedding loved them so much, 18 of the 22 were taken from the wedding!!
