If you’re the kind of couple who really cares about music, stop looking. Funk Almighty is the real deal! Daryl helped us customize everything from the piano at our ceremony to the jazz trio during dinner to the full band for the reception. They were tight, funky and just a blast. We're still getting texts from friends saying “that band though” We couldn’t agree more. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! -

Best decision we could’ve made!
We didn't get a chance to see them live before we booked them, and hands down still the best decision we could’ve made! Trust me, Daryl is on top of it, he definitely helped in no small part in keeping us organized. We had a piano for the ceremony and they learned our song requests and played it beautifully. The band came out into the crowd during the night and our guests lost it. They kept telling us it was the most fun wedding they’ve ever been to and we couldn't agree more. If you’re debating between a DJ or a live band, go with Funk Almighty and never look back!! -

Exceeded every expectation!!
Funk Almighty exceeded every expectation!! From the moment the music started, it felt like the whole room came alive. Daryl and the band were incredibly easy to work with leading up to the big day; professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in making everything perfect. They had everyone on the dance floor. We still have guests asking us weeks later for the band’s name because they can’t stop talking about how good they were. -

Above and beyond all of our expectations!!!
Funk Almighty went above and beyond all of our expectations!!! Our dance floor was packed the entire night with guests of all ages. We had relatives that typically don't dance at weddings, up and dancing all night. Funk Almighty was very professional and always available for emails and calls with any questions we had. It was important to us to have a band that would play a range of music, not just the "typical" wedding songs. They asked us to make a list of songs we liked and they did their best to incorporate those songs or similar songs to the set list. They also helped us plan a unique "grand entrance" that we were envisioning! They really made our vision for our entire reception come to life. If you are looking for a band, look no further! Highlight of our wedding!!
Funk Almighty was the absolute highlight of our wedding!! They brought so much energy and talent to our dance floor, and guests of all ages were dancing the night away. They also gave us the perfect ceremony, learning unique songs that are so special to us and our relationship. On top of all this, Funk Almighty was extremely professional and communicative, making us feel at ease and confident in the sometimes stressful wedding planning process. We would wholeheartedly recommend Funk Almighty without any reservations, and we hope that our friends book them in the future so we can see them live again!! They truly made the night unforgettable!
We hired Funk Almighty to play for 850 guests at our charity fundraiser gala. The guests absolutely loved them! Many of our guests who had also attended the previous year's gala commented on how much better the music was this year, and that's entirely thanks to this band. I wish we had booked them longer because of the overwhelmingly positive reception. The crowd kept chanting one more song at the end of the end of their set! Ahead of the event, we worked closely with them to share the vibe we were going for and identified some must-hear songs from their song list. They were incredibly responsive, professional, and easy to coordinate with throughout the process. If you're looking for a band for your wedding or event, we can’t recommend them enough. One of the best parts of our wedding!
Funk Almighty was one of the best parts of our wedding! We've seen them play at a few of our friends weddings, so the choice was obvious! Their management was super responsive, they played all of our favorite songs, and absolutely brought it! Every set was incredible and our guests could not stop complimenting the band. Would recommend to any bride + groom for their big day!

COULD NOT BELIEVE how great the band was.
As the groom and also a trained jazz musician, my #1 wedding priority was the music. I knew that we needed some traditional wedding fare to get everyone dancing and singing. But, I also knew that a typical wedding band (no offense to those) were not going to do it for me. I feel lucky to have come across Funk Almighty and to have booked them for my reception. Their manager, Daryl, was very professional throughout the booking process. We hopped on a phone call after I inquired and he walked through all of the details with me, including providing pricing immediately. One of the first things that jumped out at me was Daryl's offer that the band would learn ANY song that we requested for our event. That was not typical based on my research. Leading up to the wedding, Daryl and I checked in a couple times to make sure the schedule was in place. I was really pleased with the communication before the event. We talked about what kind of set I was envisioning for the night and they delivered. The band was able to let us use their audio system for the ceremony and toasts, which was convenient. They set up early in the day with plenty of time in case any issues arose. Finally, once the time came to dance, they blew me away. Seriously, I had so many guests come up to me and express they COULD NOT BELIEVE how great the band was. The band played a lot of traditional wedding songs, but took a lot of solos between the trombone, trumpet, sax, keyboard, and guitar. I had asked Daryl for a lot of solos and improvisation, so I don't think you can do better than Funk Almighty if that's what you want. But, I have a feeling they can play the tunes straighter if you prefer. The singers were incredible, especially the female singer. They had awesome stage presence and were actually interacting with the guests, making sure the party never stopped. When the time for the finale came, everyone was spent from 2 hours+ of straight getting down. I could not recommend Funk Almighty any more. As a musician myself, I am EXTREMELY picky about music performances, and they knocked it out of the park. My only point of disappointment was that the venue we chose was very boomy, which made the echo a bit unpleasant if you were far from the stage. Obviously, that's in no way the band's fault -- I just wish I had thought of it earlier. Also, make sure that you provide Funk Almighty with whatever insurance details your venue requires with plenty of time beforehand. We had a bit of a scare the night before, but the band and venue were able to work something out.

Funk Almighty was incredible.
Funk Almighty was incredible. They matched the vibe perfectly for our smaller wedding at a restaurant. They played jazz during cocktail hour and sounded amazing. Then by the time the dance floor was open, the energy was high and the band sounded incredible. Aaliyah and Troy sounded amazing, and the rest of the band was perfect. Funk Almighty respected our song choices, and were able to understand the vibe of the reception. 10/10 thank you Daryl and Funk Almighty.

Incredibly talented and brought a lot of energy to our wedding (including coming out into the crowd at times!). Very communicative leading up to our event and worked with us and our venue to come up with solutions based on our set up needs both indoor and outdoor. Would recommend for anyone for their wedding!

Funk Almighty absolutely KILLED IT at our wedding. I can’t even tell you how many guests, both parents/family friends and peers, came up to us to tell us how incredible they were. They bring immaculate vibes and even came out to jam on the dance floor with us for a song which was SO fun. Incredible quality for the value and Daryl, the primary point of contact, was very responsive, flexible, and made sure the night was what we wanted. Top Notch Experience
Funk Almighty was no doubt the best booking we made for our wedding. The band was electric and had a sound that can only be made from a group that plays together consistently. Their old funky classics and new hits were excellently played and made the dance floor the place to be! Some of our guests said their favorite part of the reception was the band, just watching them play and entertain was a great show. From initial inquiry, to final performance, they were responsive and professional. They performed live the songs for our first dance along with the father/bride and mother/groom dances as well. Overall they are a major talent and perform a terrific set, all while remaining in budget. Let this review be the one to get you to book this band, you will not be disappointed! -

Killer Job!
Funk Almighty did a killer job! The highlight was how they seamlessly transitioned from hit to hit, like when they went from No Diggity to Yeah by Usher. My husband and I were screaming! And they kept the surprise shift in tunes coming. We couldn’t get enough! They also blended genres and made each moment of the evening feel unique and kept the energy high. Their understanding of the crowd's vibe and how they kept everyone engaged was so appreciated. I could go on forever but I recommend hiring them and finding out for yourselves!

Unforgettable!!
Having Funk Almighty at our wedding last year was both the cake and icing on top! It’s not just the usual band experience because on top of the great music some of the band stepped onto the dance floor with us, and that just blew our guests away! They danced and sang with us and our guests, bringing an amazing energy that was both intimate and exhilarating for us!! They even did a dance routine that all our guests caught on too and before we knew it everyone was doing the same dance. We looked at quite a few bands and we cannot recommend them enough because they made our wedding feel more like a shared experience with friends than a formal event. It was a highlight for many of our guests and truly showcased Funk Almighty's commitment to not just performing music but creating lasting memories, which was something Daryl promised us right off the bat. We're incredibly thankful for this special aspect of their performance and cannot recommend them enough if you’re looking for an unforgettable night!

One of a kind!
We were absolutely thrilled with Funk Almighty at our wedding, especially with their incredible rendition of a Taylor Swift song!!! When we mentioned our love for Taylor Swift, the band went above and beyond and created an entire medley of her hits. This wasn’t just another wedding band playing covers, it became a whole show that added their unique funk twist. I can’t begin express how cool it was to watch our request come to life like that!! Daryl and the team's ability to transform our simple request into such an elaborate and memorable piece was incredible. Easily the highlight of the evening. And it was such a personalized touch that made our special day even more unforgettable. Aside from that working with them was a breeze. The rest of the night was great too but I really can’t overstate how much we appreciate them for going above and beyond with our request. That’s true talent and creativity so we can't recommend them enough for their exceptional service and making our wedding one of a kind!

Funk Almighty was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!!! From the beginning, Daryl, the band's manager, was a dream to communicate with – always quick to respond and incredibly accommodating to our needs. On the big day, they exceeded our expectations with one heck of a performance. Their setlist was a hit, blending different genres to cater to our very diverse group of guests. We gave them a heads up and they brought hits from the 70's all the way through the 2000's. What really set them apart was the band's chemistry and enthusiasm were infectious! They were having just as good a time we were and that made the dance floor the place to be all night! Despite a minor sound glitch at the start, they handled it with utmost professionalism. Their performance was a major highlight of our celebration that left us and our guests thoroughly impressed. We would wholeheartedly recommend Funk Almighty for their talent, but even more so the joy they'll bring to your wedding!!!!

Get them for your wedding or event!
These guys were amazing. My husband, dad and many other people who attended the wedding and are all musicians were so impressed and guests in general keep messaging me saying how great they were! Cannot recommend them enough. I was so excited too because they ended up playing a Sammy Rae song off the playlist I sent them (one of my favorite artists). We had a few of them play our ceremony too and as soon as heard them play something by the Beatles I immediately started tearing up. Get these guys for your wedding or event!

BOOK THEM NOW!! I really scoured the internet to find the right band to fit not only our personalities but also our wedding vibe. We truly just wanted to be on the dance floor the ENTIRE TIME and we were! Funk Almighty is what's up. They were incredibly easy to work with and killed our first song, Home. They kept the party going non stop with an amazing playlist and just their pure energy. I don't think the dance floor was empty once. We had the best ceremony and reception because of them. Will hire for other events going forward. Truly, the best! BOOK, BOOK, BOOK!

Highly recommend Funk Almighty!
Funk Almighty was amazing for our June 2023 wedding! In the planning phase they gave us plenty of opportunity to go see them perform and know what we'd be getting by booking them. Daryl (the guitarist and band manager) was responsive, flexible, and understanding through all our communication from start to finish and worked really well with our other vendors. They did everything we could think of to be a perfect fit for our wedding plans, guests, and venue. As a musician and live music nut myself, the band was one of my top priorities for the wedding and I was really picky with the band's sound when we were choosing. This group is really talented both individually and as a group, the fun they have up there playing together is contagious, and they're extremely versatile in the music that's in their wheelhouse. They gathered a great sense for the kind of music we wanted from just a few pointers in the right direction. Like their name says, they get the bass line going and the people moving - we had guests out on the dance floor that we never thought we'd ever get dancing! Highly recommend Funk Almighty in whatever configuration and whichever members/size you might be thinking of! We had a great time working with them and wouldn't think twice about doing it again.

Funk Almighty did an amazing job playing our ceremony and reception! We had a solo guitarist during our ceremony who did an amazing job learning and playing the songs we requested. During the reception, we had the 6-piece band play. The dance floor was always packed and the music was amazing. Outside of the wedding day, they were super easy to plan with, knowing exactly what to do to make everything go perfectly. I would highly recommend adding them to your wedding day!!!!!!

We hired Funk Almighty to help celebrate a double 40th birthday party for my husband and I. They were amazing to work with and their musical talent is extraordinary! The band was extremely flexible and accommodating when our outdoor event turned to indoors, due to the weather. Wish we could have heard more of them! Can't wait to see them play nearby someday in the near future. If you are considering Funk Almighty for a wedding or private event, don't hesitate to book them! You won't regret it!

Great band!
We had a great time dancing to their music at an event. Upbeat and classy without being overwhelming at a large dinner!

Daryl and the band were outstanding!
Daryl and the band were outstanding! Played super fun current pop favorites for the kids and lots of 70s funk for us Gen X party animals. HUGE talents here. Tons of horns for the bride's dancing pleasure. They rocked it! We had a blast and recommend highly!

I can't say enough great things about Funk Almighty!
I can't say enough great things about Funk Almighty! We had Funk Almighty play at our wedding and they were easily the highlight of the night. The energy, song selection, and sheer talent were unbelievable! Daryl, the band manager, is highly communicative and helped tailor music for every aspect of our day; we had an acoustic guitar for our ceremony, a jazz ensemble for cocktail hour, and their 10-person band for the reception. We also used Funk Almighty's MC service for the evening and Jared did a fantastic job ensuring the events stayed on schedule. What sets Funk Almighty apart from other bands is their energy, they had everyone on the dance floor! Our guests raved about the music and I can confidently say they were right, Funk Almighty is the best!

Wedding Reception
Funk Almighty performed for our reception last fall and it was an amazing time! The music was great, but what really made them special was the energy and performance they brought with them. Between the choice of songs and the show the put on for us and our guests, we would highly recommend them for anyone looking for top tier entertainment. -

Too Good To Be At Weddings
Funk Almighty is an amazing band that has the greatest potential to actually make it big. They are extremely talented musicians and singers and have the greatest presence. Everyone was asking us all night for their information as they couldn’t believe how incredible they were. Their stage presence is out of this world that they even had a guitar and sax solo in the middle of the dance floor! I have absolutely nothing but amazing things to say about them! -
