Both Fun & Caring!

Darrin was wonderful to work with -- he held a high-level of professionalism, and was a ton of fun at the reception. He was very communicative leading up to the wedding, which was great since we were planning the wedding from out of state. With how many weddings I'm sure he had on his plate, he really made us feel like we were a priority!

We had a lovely phone call with him just before Christmas, and in the midst of his holiday shopping he spoke with us on the phone to get a feel for us. We spoke about where we grew up, and our favorite and not-so favorite songs. He also sent us a packet ahead of time to circle/strike-through songs we like/didn't like. This ended up being a ton of fun for my husband and I, we opened up Spotify and took an afternoon going through the songs.

On the wedding day, Darrin was fantastic! He catered really well to our guests, playing music that had us all dancing. Right before our big exit, he hugged my husband and I, and we both appreciated it. Our wedding day was extra special because of Darrin's attention to detail and compassion. We highly recommend him for any event!

Exactly What We Wanted!

I am beaming with happiness to write this review! Darrin was the perfect DJ for our wedding. I can't say enough about how pleased we are with him and his services! He came highly recommended by our venue, and we can understand why. They told us they wished every wedding held there could be DJ'd by Darren, because he is so professional and easy to work with. Everything was on-point from beginning to end. He responded to our messages extremely quickly, answered all of our questions thoroughly, executed every detail exactly as we discussed and is just an overall really nice person. We couldn't be happier and neither could our wedding guests! There was a non-stop party on our dance floor because the playlist was just too good to stop! He was very accommodating and genuinely just wants to see his wedding couples happy.

Darrin did an awesome job at my wedding! He read the room and adjusted the music accordingly. I would hire him if you can. We also go chairs and chargers and table linens from OWPR which he also runs. So easy to work with and made great suggestions if I was unsure of something. Thank You! Stacy Bloomindale

Darrin did a fabulous job as the DJ for my daughter's wedding. He was great in the planning process, making sure that he knew exactly what she wanted. He was very professional as well as fun at the reception. All the guests commented on what a great job he did, from intros to keeping the party going and playing great music. I highly recommend Darrin with Fun Factory!

Darrin is the best!! Everything went seamlessly and Darrin was a major part of making sure everything happened the way it should. Music was perfect, everyone danced the whole night!

Darrin = Awesome!!!!! From our first phone call to the day of...he was professional & friendly. Our wedding was so much fun. We were on the dance floor most of the night and he played exactly what we wanted. My only requirement when choosing a DJ was that they couldn't be someone who was "cheesy" --- Darrin was definitely not that!!! He kept the music going with minimal talking between. Thank you again for a great time!!!!

Where do I begin?! I have worked with Darrin for years and years, and It was an absolute pleasure to have him as my wedding DJ. Your DJ can make or break the party and I must say he definitely MADE IT!!! The dance floor was never empty and my guests had an amazing time thanks to Darrin. He is such a joy to work with and made the planning process very smooth and enjoyable. Anytime I had a song pop into my head that I wanted to play at the wedding, I would just shoot him an email and he kept track of it all and made sure to play all songs at the reception. I would highly highly recommend Darrin to any party that is looking for a DJ. You have absolutely nothing to worry about when you are in his hands :)

Darrin was everything we could have wanted plus more from a DJ. He not only provided us with the exact style of music we wanted, but he checked in on us multiple times throughout the planning process to see if there was anything he could do to further help. He was great and a really sincere vendor. He has an extensive list of songs, in which you choose your favorites so he can get a better idea of your style. That helped my fiancé and I greatly. We had so much fun filling out the forms as well. We even had the father of the groom sing the mother/son dance and Darrin never skipped a beat. He was very accommodating and was able to download the song and make that moment even more special for the groom and I. We asked Darrin to play music that would keep our guests on the dance floor and the groom, myself, and guests danced all night long to the perfect selection of music. We were literally sweating, because we were dancing so much! We had a blast and Darrin went above and beyond! We couldn’t have chosen a better vendor for this very crucial task of keeping the party alive!

Darrin and DJ JW were great to work with! I had a destination wedding and worked with Darrin and DJ JW solely over the phone, only meeting the DJ for the first time at the reception! I worked with Darrin on some components of the wedding but had phone calls with DJ JW to discuss my music selections. DJ JW was easy to work with and had a great sense of humor. Music was a very important component for me for me wedding and I was very specific in what songs I wanted played. I was able to send DJ JW a dinner music list and a dance music list. I was happy to see he had them both printed out and brought them with him the night of the reception. What I LOVED about DJ JW is he was so personable and really got the crowd involved. I had a small wedding (43 guests) and by the end of the night he knew almost everyone's name and would call them up to the dance floor! He really got everyone involved and having fun dancing. I still get compliments on the DJ from our guests 3 months later. If you want a fun, energetic, and involved DJ, go with Fun Factory!

As the mother of the bride and planning an out of town wedding; I did a lot of planning and contacting vendors. Darrin was an awesome vendor to work with. He was always available to answer questions and responded to his emails promptly no matter the time! We did not actually meet until the day of the wedding, but I felt like we were old friends when we did meet. Darrin also provided our photobooth, which the guests loved, the lighting, and the chivarri chairs at a great price, which looked great in the Dubsdread Ballroom where we had the reception. Darrin is a great guy and he made the reception flow perfectly, and he made it fun! No wonder they call it Fun Factory! I would highly recommend Fun Factory Entertainment to anyone for any occasion. Darrin aims to please and he does just that. I actually miss planning the wedding and working with Darrin.

Darrin is extremely easy to work with and was so organized throughout the entire planning process. He coordinated my entire wedding ceremony and reception which saved me from having to hire a day of coordinator. He was very professional and made our wedding day so much fun. I would highly recommend his services!

Darrin and fun factory were absolutely wonderful!! During the whole process he answered our many questions quickly and he was just so kind! He made the whole day go flawless and the selections were exactly what we chose just at the right time. The planning was impeccable, you can really tell he loves what he does! Darrin is amazing! If you have the opportunity to hire Fun Factory Entertainment and Darrin Shifrel, DO it! Darrin worked with me tirelessly to make sure my wedding at the Orlando Museum of Art was flawless! He set the mood perfectly for every component of the wedding, cocktail hour, and reception. He put all of my guests at ease and he had everyone dancing! I also had several last minute changes to key selections (i.e. introduction songs and first dance), and Darrin incorporated those changes with no problem. He helped to de-stress me and really enjoy my day! I cannot recommend Darrin highly enough and am telling all of my friends to use Fun Factory Entertainment! EXCELLENT VENDOR!!

Darrin was great to work with! He kept the evening going with great selections of music between the songs we had chosen for the major parts of the night (first dance, cake cutting, etc.). We had so much fun, and I love how personable he is. You're not just another couple getting married. He wanted to take the time to get to know us, and he cared about what our family and friends would want to hear too. It was a bonus that we were also able to work with him for the chairs, tables, and lighting for our wedding.

Darrin was simply amazing. He followed every instruction we gave him while still using his own style. He was so laid back and we got along really well. I felt like no matter what he had it all under control and would take care of things from the DJ perspective. There were a couple of last minute changes during the wedding and he made the adjustment without batting an eye. He also coordinated with Orlando Party and Wedding Rentals to get all the lighting and the chairs delivered which was very helpful. I am a pretty laid back person so it was great for Darrin to continue to follow up with me and make sure he had what he needed for the wedding.

Darrin was so great to work with! From the very first email to the day-of, Darrin so helpful and responsive. Planning a wedding can be stressful, and Darrin does everything possible to be flexible and make the music selection as fun as possible. He really worked with us in accommodating all of our special selections, and we were so happy with the experience. Darrin knows Casa Feliz well, and was really great with assisting with the timeline and setup. Our guests loved the music selection and we still receive compliments on how fantastic our DJ (Darrin!) was! If you're looking for a DJ, look no further!

Darrin from Fun Factory did a fantastic job on our ceremony and reception music. He was not at all corny, but made the reception fun. He is willing to work with whatever style you would like. Also, he did a great job selecting music based on our preferences. Not to mention he is very nice and easy to work with. He has a lot of experience being a DJ, which definitely shows in his professionalism. I would definitely recommend using Darrin as a DJ for weddings or any other special events!

We had SO MUCH FUN dancing at our reception!! Darrin was very helpful through the planning process of picking out songs and lighting, and he played every song I wanted and then some. He was very flexible when the ceremony site was changed last minute due to weather, risking his equipment getting wet. He kept the energy up the entire reception and was even able to diffuse an awkward family drama moment (when an uninvited stepmother of the bride caught the bouquet). The photo booth was also awesome and we had so many compliments about it! Everybody loved being able to take home a little piece of the fun! Even after the booth was shut down, I wanted one more photo with my maid of honor, the attendant hooked everything back up for me and took as many photos as I wanted! Such a pleasure to work with. Darrin even gave us a discount due to the fact that my husband is a wounded military veteran, and he also was able to honor all the military members with a special dance at our reception. Definitely recommend Darrin for your event!!! you won't regret it!!

Darrin is FANTASTIC! You would be crazy not to hire him. He is the one vendor we had that I think everyone needs to use. He knew exactly what needed to be done when, he played all of the music that we had requested and made our wedding memorable. A few of our guests that attended our wedding booked him the next day. He was very calm and professional the entire time we worked with him, he was very affordable and he made our night flow so smoothly. I can't wait to go to another wedding that Darrin is working!

Darrin with the Fun Factory is outstanding! He is very professional and flexible. He was able to adapt to the changing timeline at the reception; and he did it in a way that still allowed us to enjoy every aspect of the night without feeling rushed or disorganized. He really followed our requests for music selections. Darrin communicated well with the other venders ( catering, photography) to create a cohesive flow through out the night. My Groom and I were so happy with his services. We feel like we couldn't have found a better DJ.

Having previously worked at a country club in Central Florida and witnessing dozens of weddings, I knew that when the time came for my own wedding that Darrin / Fun Factory Entertainment would be my only choice for DJ. Darrin was so much more than a DJ, though...he was constantly working in the background to make sure that our ceremony & reception timeline flowed seamlessly and was upbeat all night. He did an amazing job of getting our guests on the dance floor and keeping them there. Additionally, we used Fun Factory to provide a photo booth at our reception which was so much fun for our guests and produced both special & hilarious photos. We would happily recommend Fun Factory Entertainment for any special event as Darrin will surely go out of his way to make it memorable.

I would definitely recommend Darrin to any bride and groom looking for a amazing DJ. The day of my wedding ran flawless because he continuous checked to see if my groom and I needed anything and always let us know what was next on our agenda. The music was exactly what we wanted and everyone complemented it was a great balance and variety. I also had my guest and family complimenting how on top of things Darrin was. He is definitely worth every penny!! I should also mention that he was very easy to get a hold of by phone and quick response with email.

Darrin from Fun Factory Entertainment is amazing! We had him at my sister’s wedding about 5 years ago and were extremely impressed so we chose him for our wedding as well. He is consistently professional, kind, and genuinely focused on the bride and groom and what they want. He is very easy to get ahold of and will make you feel like you have nothing to worry about as far as the music is concerned. I truly believe that a DJ can either make or break the atmosphere of an event. Merely minutes after us entering our reception we were getting compliments on how great the music was and how impressed people were. Darrin will make you have a fun, exciting, and welcoming environment. He is focused on making your event exactly the way you want and you won’t be disappointed.

With so much planning and decision making on my plate, I had asked my sister/matron-of-honor (who doesn't live locally) to help me try and narrow down the millions of DJ's out there. From the very first email Darrin sent, you could tell how sincere, genuine and down to earth he was. Not to mention that getting married at the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne, he knew his stuff. So without even having spoken to him verbally, I could tell he was gonna be the right guy. Again, I was short on time (as most Brides are) and he continued to work with me every step of the way. Anytime I had a question, he was there to answer, with a call or a prompt response email. There were a few songs I already knew I wanted on my playlist but I never got a chance to get the rest to Darrin until the actual reception. And so when I brought down my laptop & cd case, he simply smiled and patiently waited while I scrambled to find the few songs that I really wanted played. I'm sure most DJ's would have gotten annoyed with this behavior, but not Darrin. He was honestly, one of the coolest guys to work with. I would highly recommend him (especially if you're getting married at the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne). The evidence of knowing that my guests had a great time is a picture that was taken during the last song of the night. ALL of my guests were on the dance floor. That's a sign of a great DJ who knows how to work his audience.

You will not find a more professional, caring and creative DJ in Orlando than Darrin @ Fun Factory Entertainment. He was simply amazing! Darrin was so patient with us, never rushed us to make our song selections or get our reception planning sheet returned. He rolled with the punches of the planning and was spectacular with communication. He is a professional to the utmost degree!

Darrin took ownership of our day (we used him for our ceremony music and reception) by controling the flow of the day and organizing the transitions of our day. We had so much fun and so did our Guests!! Darrin was completely accomodating to the music we wanted played and the greatest compliment we've taken from our wedding is how much fun our guests had. That fun is a direct result of the amazing job Darrin did! We cannot thank him enough for creating unforgettable memories that will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts!!!

Darrin from Fun Factory was amazing! My husband and I are pretty picky when it comes to music but Darrin played the music selections we had chosen and kept us dancing! He was an excellent MC and was extremely kind and attentive. Darrin provided us with an extensive list of party and slow songs to choose from and we had a blast choosing songs from his list. He met with us a couple weeks before our wedding to go over our music selections which made us feel even more comfortable. Darrin also provided us with the lighting for our wedding and they were perfect! Darrin certainly enhanced the fun factor of our wedding and with that he has our highest recommendation!

Fun Factory Entertainment did an awesome job at our wedding reception. We used Fun Factory for DJ and lighting for our reception. We worked with Darrin Shifrel and he was fantastic. He is extremely friendly, responsive and truly wants your reception to be perfect. It only took a couple of e-mail conversations before we knew he was the DJ for us. He is extremely flexible and has great ideas. Music selections were great and the wireless uplighting was perfect. I highly recommend Fun Factory Entertainment and Darrin.

Darrin from Fun Factory was hands down the best DJ! Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish and our ceremony and reception was a huge success because of him! The music he played was perfect for each and every event that we did and he did a great job getting everyone up on the dance floor the entire time! During the planning process of the wedding Darrin was very responsive and professional and took the time to listen to what our wants and desires were. During the reception he even had my 10 year old son at the DJ booth wearing the headphones and working the music. We really loved how he engaged the younger kids at the wedding and also played music to please our more mature crowd. An all-around great guy and amazing DJ! I HIGHLY recommend him!

Our wedding guests are STILL talking about how much they liked Darrin! He is a phenomenal DJ and our wedding reception was definitely a successful party because of him! He was a delight to work with and helped us out a lot during the planning process. He was always willing to talk on the phone/email or meet face to face to go over details of our wedding. He really is a true professional and I'm so happy he was able to be a part of our wedding- he definitely made it a night to remember. Best DJ ever :)

Darrin and Marc were absolutely wonderful; they made my wedding planning process so easy. Both were organized, experienced, professional, and extremely helpful throughout. I had a short wedding reception (4 hours) with a lot that I wanted to do (i.e. bouquet toss, garder toss, etc). I would not have had time to do every activity that I wanted to without their help. They knew just when to do what. I had a wonderful wedding thanks to them and I highly recommend their services.

When I finally got on here to write a review, I was not surprised to see how high a rating Fun Factory Entertainment has received thus far. If I could rate them even higher, I would but that's obviously not possible. We had Darrin as our DJ at our wedding and he did a fantastic job. He went beyond what he was there to do in many ways. It very much felt like he was part of our family helping figure things out and addressing other vendors for us. He played music off our list and was great with introductions, and keeping the energy level up through the night. We even received compliments from our guests and other family members about him. Darrin was great even months before the wedding. Great and quick responses, hearing our thoughts, requests, and catering to our every need and even beyond that. Having been to a couple of other weddings in the Orlando area and many others elsewhere, I know DJs like Darrin are not common. I would highly recommend Darrin & Fun Factory Entertainment to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding.

We had Fun Factory provide up-lighting and chivari chairs as well and all of that was set up well and they even kindly gave us additional chairs to fill a smaller cocktail room we had forgotten about. You will not regret working with Fun Factory Entertainment.

After checking out reviews we chose DJ Darrin Shifrel as our DJ for our reception. We also met him at a Wedding Open House and it was nice to talk to him. He promised us that he would provide the atmosphere we wanted to have and he kept his promise. We wanted someone who would create an elegant, enjoyable and memorable ambiance without the radio personality announcements and that's exactly what he did for us. I believe he is capable of providing a different sound if requested, but most importantly he understood exactly what we were looking for. He was also very mindful of where family members were, where wait staff was needed and helped to coordinate the whole evening, not just the music.
We are very grateful for his wonderful and attentive services.

Darrin was wonderful. He was great to work with and very personable. He was great about contacting me and making sure he had my likes and dislikes regarding music. He was great with organization and making sure everything was going on time and in order. He worked well with my wedding coordinator and other vendors. I would definitely hire him for another event. I actually hired him because he did my brother n laws wedding two years ago and I am hoping to convince my other brother n law to hire him when he gets married! My guests had a fabulous time and loved the music he selected. He was very attentive to the group and what music they enjoyed as well as the music my groom and I requested! We had a blast.

Fun Factory Entertainment was amazing. We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. Darrin was great, really worked well with everyone and got people up and dancing! Even with minor pumps at the reception, he was very aware of everything going on and took great care of us. He always made sure we were being taken care of and had no worries. I had the best experience with Darrin as the DJ for my wedding reception. He was always quick to respond to emails/phone calls to answer any questions I had. About a month before the wedding, I extended the length of my reception an extra 30 minutes and Darrin accommodated with no problem! The music was just how I wanted it and my guests were on the dance floor the whole time. Afterward, many of my guests commented on how great the DJ was and how much they enjoyed the music. Overall, Darrin made the entire reception run smoothly and he made me feel like a priority. I am so thankful I chose Fun Factory for my music entertainment! I would highly recommend him for any Orlando bride!

Darrin at Fun Factory was a dream to work with! Everything he did was exactly what we asked for and then some. When we first met Darrin at our venue's tasting, we knew we had to hire him right away. He is so nice and funny and so easy to work with!
Everything was such a breeze with him as far as planning. He sent out a list of songs to help us figure out what type of music we want played. We selected some songs from that list, added others that we really wanted, and told him the strict do not play songs. Everything went off exactly as we asked and had discussed. There were no surprises!
Right before the wedding, we had a long phone conversation about what our expectations were, what he recommended based on his experiences, and we made a great game plan for the wedding day. The song that I wanted my Bridesmaids to walk down the aisle to was an obscure song that he didn't have. I was able to email him the Mp3 and he was able to make it happen!
The flow of the night and the music was perfect. I could not ask for more. Darrin is the best kind of DJ! He does all the things he is supposed to do without being cheesy or in your face. He doesn't make anyone feel uncomfortable or force people to "get up and dance". I LOVED all the music he played so much that I now have a playlist on my IPod with all of the songs from our wedding and reception and listen to it all the time with this big smile on my face!
He was so nice to work with through the whole night. He was even offering to bring me a drink all the time! He is definitely someone I would love to work with again for another event or party. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a DJ!
If ou want to have the best party ever, you should hire Darrin! You will be SO happy that you did!!!

Fun Factory was amazing, they were so helpful and made our wedding night special. It was easy, we picked the songs we wanted played and they played them all. The DJ, Darrin, was very organized and professional and made the night a breeze. The company even supplied our chairs and the lighting for our reception. Darrin is the absolute best at what he does. He had everyone on the dance floor the whole night. Not only that, he made sure that everything in the ceremony and reception ran smoothly all the way down to making sure that my husband and I ate. It was such a perfect night and a lot had to do with the fact that he made sure everything went according to plan and that we just had fun. What is another plus, is that he also has a rental company called Orlando Wedding and Party Rentals which made it so much easier to have two vendors in one! Darrin was the DJ for our ceremony and reception at the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne Dr Phillips House. I loved everything about my wedding and I credit Darrin for most of it. He asked my husband and I just the right questions to ensure he could provide the right music, tone, and flow for the night. Darrin with Fun Factory is fantasic!! He performed our music for our ceremony and reception. He gave us excellent advice and everything went very smoothly. Darrin played all of the songs that we asked him to and got people up and dancing. He is great to work with and works with you to make you happy. Everyone also loved the 'Newlywed Game' that he does.

Darrin was our DJ, but you are really getting more than a DJ.
I DJ as a hobby and have a massive music collection that is different than anything you will ever hear on the radio. We tossed around the idea of the iPod wedding DJ that a lot of people are doing these days (especially now) to save money. We are so happy to have found Darrin. I talked to other DJs and we were heading down the iPod road... every call made me cringe and I did not call back the others.
On my first conversation with Darrin it was obvious, we have to have him.
His experience and calm collective process made us know we were in the best hands.
I do a lot of business with various vendors in my career, and they could learn something from Darrin.
Upon meeting the other staff at a tasting, I also knew that Darrin managed his team with just as much professionalism and emphasis on getting a consistent result with anyone at the fun factory; we would have been in good hands in any case.
Being a music hound, I supplied mixes for Darrin, and he did not flinch, as I have heard horror stories of DJs not playing the music you request and even being rude about it.
Everything was just right.
As MC, Darrin had class, was extremely organized and really moved the event along seamlessly. That is exactly how we felt leading up to the wedding - in good hands - no stress - and in the end a really great night with what we had in mind fulfilled.
Music is a very important part in our life, and having Darrin to orchestrate our soundtrack while supplying guidance and great timing made this day even more special.

Darrin was awesome! He did his research, was prepared, and helped put on an exceptional wedding reception for us. He helped make our wedding day better than we could have ever imagined. For our wedding DJ we used Fun Factory Entertainment, who did music for the ceremony and reception at Dubsdread. Darrin Shifrel was our DJ, he was so awsome, he had people dancing all night! We did games like the garter toss, conga and the limbo. It was sooo much fun! He helped move the evening on smoothly up until the very end. Thanks to his timing no one seemed rushed, and the evening was a huge success. Also, choosing the songs was so much fun, he was great to work with. We were very pleased with having Darrin DJ our wedding at Highland Manor. We first saw Darrin in action as the MC at one of our venue’s food tastings, and we were impressed with his level of professionalism and style. Darrin takes excellent note of type of music you want to hear and make sure it’s played at the event. We liked the level of familiarity Darrin had with our venue , as he knew exactly how to set up his equipment in the reception ballroom and had worked with our venue coordinator. Darrin smoothly transitioned between the events at our reception, as well as provided sound for our ceremony. David with Fun Factory was extremely professional and responsive. Compared to other DJ's they are more expensive. I was a bit disappointed as I asked for the song I was to walk down the isle to start at a certain point in the song and he instead played it from the beginning. We used Fun Factory for our DJ service and lighting. We worked with Darrin who was very friendly and professional. He did a great job with our event. Our only complaint is that we gave a very specific music list to be played and talked this over with Darrin. It turned out lots of random songs got played at our cocktail hour which we didn't want and our dance songs we told him were "must plays" got left out for other songs. If you're very picky about your music or have more unique taste like we did it's just something to consider. Also, part of our lighting never got put up, but it was refunded to us promptly. Overall Darrin was easy to work with and very helpful on the wedding day and we appreciate that!

DJ Zack did an alright job. He had access to good music and seemed friendly. The dance floor seemed pretty busy, which is what we asked for. He had good suggestions as far as timing of special dances, etc. However, he did not play many of the songs we requested. We had asked him to start our First Dance a few seconds into the song and he did not do this. There was even a email confirmation on his end. I suppose it may have just slipped his mine at the time, but he did not say anything afterwards. Also, we asked him if he had music from specific countries and he said he did not. So I told him I would get him some to play. I gave him the CD that day and he didn't play the songs. Instead he played Spanish music (I guess that was supposed to be "close enough"). I'm not saying that Fun Factory as a whole isn't good. All I know is what I experienced with Zack. I think he must just be new.

Very responsive right up to reception time with adding music. Didn't play some songs we had requested.
