The food & Service

We both loved working with Jenny and her staff. The food was amazing and all our guest were very happy with the choices we picked. Jenny was so sweet and very accommodating with us and made wedding planning easy! There were no issues with anything and I would recommend her to anyone! I loved our wedding and I am so glad we had her to be a part of the wedding day. I really also appreciate her staff taking care of my mom and making sure she was drinking enough water all night! I was not stress all day or night!

Incredible!!

We used full circle catering for our wedding and Jenny and her staff were amazing! Jenny was very personable and fun to work with! We did not hire a wedding planner and she picked up a lot of the organizational and day-of details that we needed help with so that we felt no stress! Her food was incredible and everyone told me how much they loved it. She also helped us setup our cake and decorate it which was dropped off by a different vendor. Highly recommend!

Excellent Service

Jenny and her team were amazing. They rolled with the punches even though things didn't go as planned and were ready to serve 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time. I'm so grateful that they were so professionals and seemingly unflappable.

Great Experience!

Jenny and Full Circle Catering were absolutely wonderful to work with for our December 2022 wedding at Big Spring Farm! She was so patient with me as I had many questions. The food was absolutely delicious! A big highlight was our desserts; we did not want a traditional wedding cake, so we got mini pies that were a HIT! Thank you Jenny and your team!

Wonderful Catering Experience

I highly recommend Jenny and Full Circle Catering. Jenny was great to work with from start to finish – very responsive and flexible for the various dietary requirements for our guests. She helped guide us to menu options that were delicious and worked for gluten-free, vegan and nut-free guests. Everyone truly enjoyed the food, and everything was artfully presented and arranged. Jenny helped us get all the rentals we needed, and made sure all details were considered. The staff was very friendly and efficient, and we are all impressed with the service from start to finish.

Outstanding food and service!

The best wedding decision we made was choosing Jenny and her team as our catering staff! We had to reschedule our wedding twice during the pandemic, and Jenny was always flexible with us. It has now been 2 months since the wedding , and we STILL have people compliment the incredible food and service! Jenny made us feel special and taken care of. The set up was beautiful and she even provided a picnic for just the two of us at the end of the night. We can't thank you enough, Full Circle!

Exceeded expectations

We decided to hire Full Circle based on their commitment to locally sourced food. We were planning our wedding remotely and didn't have a chance sample any food in advance, so I was a bit nervous about how things would turn out. I couldn't imagine a better wedding dinner! Jenny was very flexible and responsive throughout the process. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. All of my guests were happy, and people were still talking about how great the food was days later! I would love to hire Full Circle again in the future!

Terrific Caterer for a Wedding!!!!

We used Full Circle Catering for a destination wedding in Clifton Forge, VA. The menu selection was excellent for both the cocktail hour and the buffet dinner. The food was terrific and we were very pleased with the professionalism of the entire staff. In addition, the company also arranged all the rental requirements for the wedding. We would highly recommend this catering company to any couple looking for a terrific caterer in the Lexington, VA and surrounding area!

Perfect Experience

I HIGHLY recommend Full Circle Catering. Start to finish it was perfect. From our personalized menu to the presentation, it was amazing. The staff was very professional and friendly during the entire wedding reception. And last, but certainly not least, the food was of exceptional quality and DELICIOUS! Our guests raved about the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres and the great comments kept coming with our dinner selections. An all around great experience.

Consistent top quality food & presentation

Full Circle Catering, with Jenny Elms at the helm, has been on Heartstone Lodge’s ‘very short’ list of recommended caterers since we opened in 2010. Our guests have all expressed top satisfaction whether it was a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, celebratory party of all types.
In addition, our venue is left spotless at the end of the day. We are very happy to be associated with Full Circle Catering.

Amazing caterer who made logistics SO EASY, not to mention the MOST delicious food!

Jenny and her team made the whole experience so easy!! It was a complete breeze working with her - leading up to the big day, she was easy to reach which was great because I was planning the wedding from Texas! On the actual wedding day, I could not have been more thankful for her ability to take charge and make things happen. I literally did not see her until I came through the buffet! It was so easy. On top of all the logistical joys of working with Jenny, the food was completely amazing. We wanted to bring a little Texas flair to Virginia with a taco bar, and it was SO GOOD. Everyone raved about the food, and it was perfect for all our allergy / picky eaters. The presentation was also really beautiful, they thought of everything. We were completely thrilled with the whole experience, I can't recommend them enough!

I cannot say enough good things about Jenny and her staff. In the early planning, Jenny was responsive to our questions and provided helpful menu guidance. She was very accommodating- she even went to the venue site and made helpful suggestions.
The food was delicious- many people commented on how good the food was! The staff was very pleasant and helpful- I received many comments on how genuinely happy everyone seemed to be at their work.
She was on time and professional in her setup and take down.
Her concern with using locally sourced food and recycling when possible was important to us.
I highly recommend Jenny’s services.

We really enjoyed working with Jenny from Full Circle Catering. She is the type of vendor who doesn't just have one set menu and truly works with you and your ideas to create a totally customized menu. Jenny took the time to help create a menu as our ideas changed throughout the planning process and she made sure to work with our budget. On the day of our wedding, we were completely blown away by the display of the food and even moreso, the food was delicious! Jenny even took the time to set a plate of our appetizers on our sweetheart table because she knew we would be too busy taking pictures during cocktail hour. Her staff was incredibly accommodating and provided excellent service at the buffet station, the tables, and the bar! Jenny also packed a to-go bag to take with us after the wedding and packed up any leftover food. Our guests raved about the food and we are so happy we chose Full Circle Catering for our wedding.

We used Jenny to cater our wedding at Big Spring Farm and couldn't have been happier with the food and service Full Circle provided. Jenny was responsive by email and over the phone and worked with us to create a unique menu. She was open to any ideas we had for our big day and worked to accommodate any requests we had. On the day of the wedding, she put together beautiful displays for our cocktail hour and dinner stations and so many of our guests couldn't believe how delicious her food was. My personal favorites were the biscuit bar and shrimp and grits! Lastly, all of Jenny's staff were gracious and kind, which we greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend Jenny for delicious food and service for any event!

We changed our wedding date just to take advantage of Jenny's expertise and services again. Jenny is not only an incredible caterer, she knows the right questions to ask in help with the planning details and ordering of rentals and is do great at what she does. Her food is not only delicious, but her presentation is beautiful-to include the fresh flowers in the salad (edible!), homemade biscuits and handwritten menu boards. Her staff is very attentive and professional. Well worth her affordable fees. You will not be disappointed!

Jenny did a great job with my daughters wedding. She was very flexible and patient. The appetizer table was very creatively displayed..It looked beautiful. We had a buffet dinner..The food was hot and delicious. All her staff was professional and courteous. She worked with our budget and we could not have been happier. We worked with Jenny at our wedding about a month ago and she did such an amazing job! She regularly went above and beyond for us, helping with day of logistics, coordination of all rentals and weighing in on decisions that we were having trouble with. She was our go to person if we had a question about anything at all, as she has so much knowledge and know how about all things wedding. When the wedding day finally arrived, we were blown away by the food. Everything was so delicious and the presentation was gorgeous. Her staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. Booking with Full Circle Catering was hands down the best choice we could have made!

Jenny was helpful in taking our ideas and making suggestions that improved upon them. The outcome was just what we had hoped for - the guests mingled freely with plates of delicious shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, cups of gazpacho and lots of other good tasting eats. We love Jenny and Full Circle Catering! They did our wedding a few weeks ago, and I cannot imagine a smoother process. Jenny is organized, imaginative, and extremely knowledgeable. Our wedding director told us to let Jenny take the reigns with set-up and rentals, and I am so glad we did! She knows exactly how to execute a successful event. She is what I consider a "low-maintenance" vendor, where we told her what we would like to have, and she took care of the rest. She did not ask us a million questions, and we just knew everything was under control with the food. She had creative displays and we were thrilled with the presentation. Her pricing is fair, and her staff is outstanding. On the day of our wedding, everyone was upbeat, excited, eager to help, and the food came out hot and on time! Jenny and her staff were absolutely amazing and my husband and I are so glad we booked Full Circle Catering for our wedding! Jenny really understood our vision and not only gave us a lot of helpful suggestions, but customized our menu to really fit "us" as a couple. We had a family-style dinner, and Jenny helped me coordinate what tables would be needed, how much servingware she had and what we would need, etc, flawlessly.

I had forgot to do so much on the day of the wedding that I had agreed to do (find a place for the magnificent cheese board display she made for the cocktail hour, pre-mix some drink mixes, etc) but her staff handled it exceptionally well, and they all were so personable, friendly, kind, and almost invisible throughout the night! Her staff that were bartenders that evening nailed our signature drinks perfectly, and guests really liked interacting with them.

Eveyone raved about the food - it not only tasted great, but it was displayed with such love and care! Everyone said it was one of the best catered weddings they had ever been to, and I am still getting compliments to this day! How could mini chicken and waffle bites NOT be loved?!

On another note, I couldn't believe how much she was able to compost and save instead of meaninglessly throwing away and wasting it - I really appreciate the fact she is a green caterer, and guests and other vendors did too!

You really can't go wrong with Jenny and her staff - I highly, highly recommend them for your wedding!

My advice is call early- Jenny and her team are definitely in high demand so don't shuffle your feet if you want to book them! Full Circle catered my wedding in June and I could not have been happier both with the food itself and the service. As a bride I had no idea what I was doing in planning my wedding, thankfully Jenny was there to keep me on track and connect me with other service providers. She definitely took a lot of stress out of the planning process! It's been six months and I still have people telling me how great the food was, plus the cooler tote Jenny packed for us meant that my husband and I got to actually enjoy it ourselves!

We had our daughter's summer 2016 wedding at our parent's farm outside Lexington had did the planning ourselves. Jenny Elmes was so helpful and accommodating to our special needs and as were making arrangements from out of town she was invaluable in guiding us on how and with whom to deal with in Lexington for the various wedding arrangements. On the day of the wedding the service and professionalism of the entire Full Circle team was outstanding. Everyone was incredibly nice to our family and all of our guests. The food was fantastic and their very personalized service really put the reception over the top. We will certainly be using Full Circle on our next wedding - three more to go:)

Jenny and her team were absolutely fantastic. She was easy to work with, knew exactly what questions to ask, and helped me focus prior to the event. On the day of, she worked with my wedding coordinator/friend to work out the remaining kinks and make sure the event ran smoothly - without adding any stress to my day. I keep hearing from people that it was the best food that they've ever had at a wedding, and her prices were well within our budget - and quite reasonable. She understood what we were going for and her setup perfectly went with the theme we had created for our day. Her staff were extremely personable and worked almost invisibly - allowing us to enjoy our day without worrying about the details. Everything completely exceeded our expectations, and I feel so lucky that we found Jenny.

We had a tremendous experience with Jenny and her fabulous team!

Not only was she extremely professional, but her food was excellent. Our guests raved for days on the amazing food and excellent service. Her staff was present when things needed to be taken care of but faded in the background when everything was taken care of. Just the best of the best!

As a bonus, they left my kitchen much cleaner than they found it!

Full Circle Catering has catered two events for me and both times Jenny Elmes and staff were great! Jenny is so easy and fun to work with! She pays attention to every little detail, and makes the event stress free! Not to mention, the food is not all delicious, but is like a work of art! I would recommend Full Circle Catering not only for weddings, but for rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, graduations, and baby showers as well!! Couldn't be happier!!

Jenny and her Staff were amazing! Of course there is always something that happens with the planning of weddings ON THE WEDDING DAY!! In our case, at the Hall we had rented out, our proposed "kids" room we had planned to use for setting up Jenny's delicious food and fun activities was full of huge boxes being stored. Clearly there was a miscommunication between us and the Hall coordinator. Yet Jenny and her staff handled it with ease and reconfigured the placement of "kids" area elsewhere for me... which turned out to be a better option anyway... I had no concerns whatsoever as I knew Jenny had my back and created a stress free day for me! Thank you so much Jenny! you ARE the best! Very professional - Very Responsive to the Brides/event needs - INCREDIBLE FOOD! I had so many compliments on my food choices and presentation! Thank YOU!!!

Jenny and her team exceeded our expectations. It is obvious that Jenny is very experienced in what she does. She helped us through details we hadn't even thought about. The food was delicious and quite incredible to see being prepared in a tent. Her entire staff was very efficient and professional. Feel like we got so much for our money. Jenny with full circle catering did an AMAZING job with my wedding, and I'm so glad I chose her company! The food was incredible, and since I had a lot of specific ideas about what kinds of food I wanted to serve, she worked with me to make sure I'd have it at my wedding. What happens when you have 3 months to plan a wedding, a beautiful venue that is more than 2 hours from your home, you travel for work 4 days a week and you are the panicked MOB? You call Jenny Elmes and Full Circle Catering and hope and pray she has time in her schedule ! We started off hoping that Jenny would be able to cater for the wedding and lucked out with her planning, coordinating and providing fabulous food. From making sure that we had just the right vendors and bringing them out to the mountain house to thoughtfully plan, to keeping us on track and ready for the big day... she did it all. She took the short time frame on as a challenge... and it all came together on a beautiful day in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

When Jenny says that something will be done... it is ! I quickly learned that that I could relax (or try) in the knowledge that she was taking care of things. Our requests were heard and honored.. and she anticipated needs we didn't know we had. Pricing was straight forward and presented no surprises.

About the food... just outstanding! Service was spot on and attentive. Her team reflects her professionalism and pride from set up, to serving, to clean up. Creativity in presentation made it all the more special. Thanks, Jenny .... and the mini Chicken and Waffles appetizers were the best!

Across the board, Jenny and her team exceeded all expectations. If you want great food... Full Circle Catering in Lexington, Virginia will make your occasion all that you desire. Better yet, have Jenny be your planner/coordinator/ caterer... and enjoy!

I had the best experience hiring Jenny and her team at Full Circle to cater my daughter’s wedding. She is such a friendly, easy-going person that it is a pleasure to plan an event with her. And the confidence she shows on the phone is totally justified. Her food is sophisticated and delicious and beautiful. Full Circle’s charges are reasonable. I could not believe the great meal we got for this price. She and her helpers took care of everything, and if there were any problems, I was completely unaware of it. And when it was all over, they left the place clean as a whistle. It just shone! I’d recommend Full Circle in a heartbeat.

Jenny and her crew were great to work with. Approximately 110 people were at the wedding. The passed hors-d'oeuvres, assortment of cheeses were plentiful, delicious and attractively presented with flowers. The buffet food (chicken and salmon, rice pilaf, root vegetables, and salad) was also delicious and many guests commented on how good the food was. Water, ice tea and lemonade were provided. We supplied the wine and beer
We met with her a year before the wedding. We corresponded throughout the year and then met with her again 2 weeks before the wedding to nail down details. Everything went smoothly and I would highly recommend her!

Absolutely fantastic! Not only was the food great, but they also were incredibly helpful in planning the event. They worked well with the other vendors to make sure that the wedding ran seamlessly. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing catering services.

Jenny and Full Circle were great, I'd book them again in a heartbeat. So many people approached me following the event to comment on the food. Additionally Jenny helped facilitate an outside food vendor for a pig roast and integrated local cheeses upon request.

Jenny was absolutely fabulous. The food was incredible. We reviewed three different caterers before meeting Jenny, all of whom offered very boring, bland suggestions. Jenny came up with incredibly creative selections that suited the level of elegance of the occassion and were perfect for a hot summer evening wedding. All of our guests were raving for weeks over how incredible the food was. Furthermore, I did not hire a wedding planner, because I didn't like the idea of having someone plan it all for me, however as things got under way, I understood the benefits of having someone prepared to handle last minute disasters and keep things running smoothly. Even though she was hired as a caterer only, Jenny was amazing about jumping in when I asked her for help and handled several minor disasters (extra people coming, last minute drop outs, etc.) that came up, even without my (the bride's) knowledge! She handled everything quietly and professionally and no one, even myself, knew that anything had happened. Jenny made my "big day" perfect and was so professional and flexible with planning leading up to it.

I loved working with Jenny Elmes and the rest of her wonderful crew. My husband and I had no idea what we were doing, and she helped make the whole day a breeze. She certainly went above and beyond the call of just catering! And the food! We are still getting compliments on her creations months later. We will definitely be calling them again next time we need anything catered.

Full Circle Catering (Jenny and her staff) were amazing! We would not have had such a special and successful wedding without them. The food was incredible, my friends and family still comment about how delicious everything was. Jenny and her team were so easy to work with - very organized, efficient, calming ... they were perfect. Aside from the wonderful food they also had a lot of creative ideas and helped tremendously with the overall flow of our wedding. I can not thank them enough! We were also very impressed by their "Green" habits of using local food, recycling... They were the best decision I made in my wedding process!!! I highly recommend Full Circle Catering!

A Wonderful Meal was had by all!!

We had Jenny and Full Circle Catering cater our daughter's wedding at Old Metropolitan Hall in Charlottesville earlier this month. The food was delicious! And it was different from the normal party/reception fare. We had a wonderful combination of fancy and comfort/winter food. The guests loved it. And Jenny's presentation is exquisite. Jenny and her catering staff were so great to work with! Even though we only tried a bite of her food before hand, I just new from those sweet potato biscuits she was the one. She had great details, delicious local ingredients, very flexible in coming up with ideas, and of course great food. We wished we lived closer so she could cater all of our special events.

We had a fabulous experience with Full Circle Catering for my recent birthday bash in the country. Jenny Elmes just GOT the mood I wanted for the event, after only one conversation. She proposed a great menu that set the tone for all the rest of the planning, and my guests raved about how delicious the food was. Jenny also served as an adviser for the party, giving valuable advice and referrals for party rentals needed to have a band party / dinner for over 100 people 20 minutes from town. I could not have been more pleased, and I will definitely hire Jenny if my 3 daughters decide to get married near Lexington.

We were doing long-distance planning for our wedding, so responsiveness to e-mails was important. Jenny at Full Circle catering was not only very slow to respond to e-mails, but also very terse and unprofessional. She created more problems when she demanded a separate tent and work area, even though the venue was already fully equipped for catering, with ample kitchen facilities. The positive thing is that the food was organic and mostly local and seasonal, but it was not all well-seasoned and could have tasted better. We had salmon as part of our menu, and we did get a lot of very positive feedback about that dish. Overall, full circle catering has the right values and type of food that we support, but the staff has a long way to go towards friendliness and professionalism.

We had originally booked Jenny because Full Circle Catering was a pre-approved vendor for our reception venue. She was friendly during our first meeting, but most of our interaction from then on was long-distance. She was unresponsive to emails which then required a follow-up phone call to discuss details or schedule our venue walkthrough. During the walkthrough she was rude and condescending. It was not a constructive experience and she was so unpleasant to us that we immediately began searching for another caterer. Luckily we found someone else quickly who has been wonderful to work with in all respects and the approval process with the venue went smoothly. Regretfully Jenny chose to cash our deposit check, which we had sent just a few days earlier, right after we let her go.
