We loved having our wedding here. The barn is so beautiful! They allow you to add a decor you like and remain flexible in requests. We loved our special day and we are/ so glad we went here! We drove three house from him to have our wedding at Friedman Farms because we fell in love with the place and the staff. Definitely recommend! And if you can get Greco’s to cater, even better!

Most of my communication up until the month of was through Linda and she was amazing! Answered every question in a timely manner! The month of I dealt Pete and Virginia and they were amazing! Pete answered every single question and Virginia was a blessing I didn’t know I needed! Our day was amazing and I cannot thank them enough! Decorating was simple! The barn is beautiful on its own, but I added little touches. We got married by the fire pit and though it rained and we couldn't use it after the ceremony it was just beautiful! I highly recommend!

Friedman Farms was the most amazing venue I could have asked for! I wanted a beautiful barn wedding, but was on a pretty strict budget. Friedman Farms was not only beautiful (I've been receiving compliments even months after the wedding) but it was incredibly affordable. Even though the cost of the rental items is separate from the cost of the venue itself, which was something I was not really sure of in the beginning, it actually works out to be very cost effective and gives you a lot of options to bring in things for yourself!

The farm is gorgeously decorated with lights and really, doesn't need a whole lot of extra decoration. However, you are given the option of bringing in anything that you want AND using a ton of stuff that the farm has to offer too! This barn is a DIY dream and at the same time, can be used for someone who really doesn't want to do much decorating at all! It really is a beautiful location!

On top of all that, the staff was amazing! Pete allowed me to come visit the farm multiple times before the wedding to plan out my ideas and take measurements. Any and all my question were quickly answered and the whole staff was helpful with making any accommodations I asked for. Linda was amazing beyond words. Throughout our whole wedding day, she was doing everything she could to make the day run smoothly - and she did an amazing job! From dealing with our family to making sure we had everything we needed, she was sweet and professional the entire day! I couldn't have been happier with where my wedding reception was held - it was perfect!

Friedman Farms was the most beautiful venue. We were able to decorate it to make it our own vision (and the barn is already beautiful without decorations!!). We had our ceremony outside under the oak tree and used the horse carriage. We also used their sister companies and rented the limo and trolley and had our rehersal dinner at the Beaumont Inn. Everything from Friedman Farms exceeded our expectations. Pete, Rob, Christine and Flo made sure everything went smoothly! I highly recommend this place! Thanks for the perfect venue Friedman Farms!

This was such a beautiful location for our wedding reception! Everyone was really easy to work with during the planning process, and the night went off without a hitch! Our pictures are amazing. Highly recommended!

such a beautiful venue. it made my dream wedding a reality. we chose to get married in from of the oak tree outisde. the open field is so great and the pictures are gorgeous! the barn is so beautiful lit up with awesome tree branches and twinkle lights. all my guests were obsessed! this is the place to go for that rustic chic wedding. thank you so much!

Our wedding at Friedman Farms was beyond beautiful! If we could do it all again we would and we would still choose Friedman Farms! They do their best to make things affordable. You rent the barn and then you can either choose to rent other things from the barn or outsource for the best prices. It is a small family run business that is growing. I really appreciated all of their help the weekend of our event. You have to do a lot yourself leading up to the event but its totally worth it the weekend of. You can decorate as much as you'd like but really all you need to worry about are center pieces because the barn is already decorated so nicely with lights. You have a lot of leeway to be as creative as you want which is really nice. You have to choose your caterer separately which was really great. We used Constantino's. They were recommended on Friedman Farm's website and the food was really incredible. We got so many compliments! It was a really fun and relaxed environment. All of our guests loved it and we just had a blast. Honestly it was a magical event. I keep replaying it over and over again in my head.

What a Beautiful Barn!!! This place is gorgeous! The chandelier is stunning while the lights from the candles and post branches set this to be so romantic and out of this world.. So unique! Eye catching grounds and so beautifully kept. Picturesque from all views. Truly and Just Simply Beautiful!! Makes for a most spectacular wedding day!!!

Friedman Farms was the perfect barn wedding setting for us. With the expansive rolling fields in the back, and a rustic but polished interior, it had everything we were looking for in a wedding venue. We had to change our ceremony site at the last minute due to heavy rains, but were able to use the fire pit area which ended up perfect! The high ceilings and string lights are great, but this is definitely a venue best for those who prefer to DIY when it comes to table settings, lighting, and decorations. Friedman Farms is the perfect canvas to be creative with. The value compared to other barns is unbeatable for the venue price. The size was perfect for our 130 person wedding, but we could have easily fit up to 160. Pete and Virginia are amazingly helpful with barn setup and day-of coordination to ensure everything goes as planned. Highly recommended, but be sure to book far in advance!

Friedman Farms was a where we had our Wedding. We fell in love with this place the instant we saw it back in 2012. We booked it immediately and anxiously awaited our Wedding date a year and a half later - it required a ton of planning and organizing but was worth every bit! Our guests raved that ours was the best wedding they've ever been to - the beauty of this venue is unmatched. From the vaulted ceilings, chandeliers, space, sprawling grounds.. Friedman Farms is perfection. The owner, Robert Friedman, is very cool to work with - very laid back and very pleasant to deal with when you're on the verge of becoming bridezilla. We were given a coordinator that orchestrated the entire day and help put our mind at ease. We had a weird issue at the end of the night when she approached my parents about settling up rather than myself - but in the end it all worked out and the entire day was absolute perfection. I want this place to remain a hidden treasure, but I fear word will be spreading like wildfire as it is a creative bride's dream :)

I knew that Friedman Farms was going to be my venue from the moment I walked through those barn doors. The barn, the greens, everything was absolute perfection! Thank you to Rob, Linda, and everyone on the Friedman Farms staff who helped make our day so wonderful :)

Our wedding was absolute gorgeous! We couldn't have asked for more! except maybe for the chairs and tables to be included..hah! but over all, it was a wonderful wedding day. The barn was gorgeous and great for our photos! But caution there is not air-conditioning! We did know this and it was a tad bit hot but still a great day!

The venue was gorgeous, but the "barn manager" was not the easiest to work with.

My husband & I searched endlessly for our perfect barn venue. Everywhere we looked, barn venues were basically gutted and transformed to look like a banquet facility. We stumbled upon Friedman Farms in our search and immediately fell in love. It is a true working farm, the barn has all the original detail, plus elegant chandeliers, beautiful grounds, massive drapery.. It is absolutely PERFECT! They even keep their beautiful horses out for you! I can't describe in words how beautiful this location is.

Our wedding day couldn't have been more perfect. Rob, the owner, is an awesome guy-- very laid back and offers a lot of flexibility to transform the barn into anything you can envision.

We had a Sunday wedding, so while the Saturday weddings have access to the barn the entire week prior, we only had access to the barn for decorating & setting up the morning of the wedding. This was part of the reason why we decided to hire a wedding coordinator (see below).
While the venue does provide wedding coordinators, we decided to hire a separate coordinator, Danielle Pasternak, after reading some reviews about the coordinators provided by Friedman. Danielle and her team helped transform the barn into everything we envisioned & more in less than half of a day!

The only negative about Friedman would be that you really didn't have much communication with the venue prior to the week before, but that's where our wedding planner came in. So, it all worked out just fine :)

We received rave reviews about the barn and how beautiful and unique it was. Our guests calls in the Wedding of the Year! ;-)

I would definitely recommend checking out this venue if you are looking for a rustic venue with all the original detail!!

I held my wedding reception here in November after we eloped in Big Sur, CA the month before. The positives of this venue are immense. It is absolutely stunning and has so much character. The authenticity of the barn provides such a great atmosphere and leads for a lot of individual design by the party host. I loved being able to make the space my own. Virginia and Pete are an awesome team and were very helpful during our set up. It snowed pretty heavy a few days before and it affected the parking situation - however Pete made sure to guide all of our guests to a safe space to park and made it a breeze to get everyone inside on time.

Some things we did have issues with were the heat and the breaking of our contract. On the Friedman Farms website, it states in bold red lettering about how they are completely heated/air conditioned now, but it fails to mention that in order to heat the barn, you will need to pay an extra $695. They charge $145 per propane heater (you need 4) which was a surprise cost the week of. They also refused to turn the heat on until 1 hour before the event, so we were forced to prepare and decorate in the FREEZING cold (30 degree weather) the two days before the event. Absolutely insane to ask of people who just paid you $7,000.

Another thing that was pretty upsetting is that they broke our contract by hosting an event the Sunday after our wedding even though we were told that we would need to provide them permission to do that. We were never asked whether or not we would be ok with that and came in to grab our decorations and furniture - only to see the party using our rented chairs from another company and our linens!!! The worst part was that the owner and coordinators were aware of this! That is so wrong!! WE paid a lot of money for those chairs and if anything went wrong with them - we would have been responsible - and these random people used our chairs for FREE. The chair rental company was not aware this was happening either.

The last thing I will say about this business is that you definitely do not want to be the last event of the season because they will constantly cheer and say "YAY IT'S OUR LAST ONE!!" or "I am so over this, thank God you guys are the last ones." They were even saying these things to our guests as they arrived. It made us feel like we were some kind of burden to them even though they just collected a hefty check from us to host our event there. They definitely need to up their customer service.

Overall, the beauty of the venue is what made me give four stars. It was an absolutely beautiful venue and our guests were thrilled with the evening and had an amazing time. I am not sure I would recommend it to any friends though based on the ways they made us feel personally, and the fact that they broke the contract.

First, I have to say that the venue itself is GORGEOUS and we’ve been getting compliments for months about how amazing the wedding was! So if this was based off aesthetics alone it would be a 5/5!! Rob (the owner) is very laid back and we were able to come multiple times leading up to the day to show relatives or measure etc which was really great! And, since we were planning the wedding from California, it really paid to have a Saturday date since we had access to the barn the Tuesday prior and could come in an decorate and set up which was key since we didn’t have a local planner or anything to help. If you have a Saturday wedding you have to approve them scheduling a Friday wedding which I thought was thoughtful since it would NOT have been possible for us to setup the morning of. They do offer a discount if you allow a Friday wedding so if your local, you might be able to pull that off and save some dollars.

That being said, we did have some less than ideal aspects that you should be aware of when choosing this venue. Be prepared to feel nickel and dimed. The cost of the venue only covers the space, everything else has to be rented or brought in (including tables and chairs). So while the price seems reasonable up front,we ended up spending way more than a venue that includes all of those things BUT, we did get exactly what we wanted and weren’t the best thrifty shoppers. The Friedman’s own multiple restaurants and the Beaumont inn so it felt like they tried to get you to use all of their services. We ended us using an outside caterer because their restaurant wasn’t very responsive. We had to pay and extra $750 to use a non-Friedman restaurant. And the space for the caterer is less than ideal, they have to setup a tent outside so they have to bring all everything with them to prepare and get food warm etc. Our caterer was amazing and made it work and I don’t think any of the guests noticed, but just something to keep in mind.

We chose to have our ceremony at the overlook at the top of the hill instead of the oak tree because it felt a little more intimate and Pete did a great job setting up! However, the day off was a little drizzly/misty and the chairs were completely soaked and instead of taking care of that for us we had to send someone up there to dry the chairs so our guests wouldn’t be sitting in puddles. At the time of the ceremony people were still arriving and were told they couldn’t come up to the ceremony location! Guests had to argue and then RUN up a hill and some people just missed the ceremony. This is RIDICULOUS seeing as guests all had to travel to come to the wedding!!

Our day of coordinator (Virginia) was well intentioned (I’m hoping) but either she did a sub par job or we had incorrect expectations about what she would be doing that day. We assumed she would help coordinate during the ceremony and reception but she was completely absent. During the reception I had to run around all night and grab people for the next thing that was happening (bridal entrances, cake cutting, sparkler exit, etc) so instead of just enjoying the day it was a bit stressful. From what I read, Linda is a great day of coordinator. If I had to do it again, I would have hired someone who I knew was going to actually take care of things instead of me having to do it.

Last thing that was a little off-putting- Rob offered to drive the wedding parties up to the ceremony location in his trolley so we wouldn’t have to walk (which was great!) in exchange for “a couple drinks at the bar.” I’m pretty sure I saw him, the barn manager and his wife (the day of coordinator) drinking. While the impact on the bar was likely minimal it felt a little weird for him to be hanging around after we’re paying him thousands of dollars to rent the venue.

All in all, our wedding looked beautiful and guests had an amazing time and I would certainly recommend the venue but the professionalism of the venue ownership/staff could be improved upon.
