Ivonne D dress delivered early, good communication from French Novelty- arrived sealed manufacture wrapped, beautiful presentation-boxed with nice garment bag. Felt totally spoiled! Realized defect on dress from Ivonne D. French novelty paid return ASAP to fix even though not their fault. Refunded for defect-not happy with Ivonne D. Ordered replacement dress local-nervous to order from French Novelty due to timing. Big mistake! Less customer service, dress, paid tax/shipping/requested for tip $1,000+ dress. Arrived late, not delivered nicely like French Novelty. Ivonne D AGAIN missing eye to dress hook and eye latch (so disappointed in Ivonne D quality!) Local company didn’t care to fix or make right. Backed poor quality workmanship of designer than consumer. Do yourself a big favor- order from French Novelty! Integrity, honest, good service is rare these days! -

Because of the attention and professionalism of Katie and Luralia my sister not on bought her wedding dress here I also bought my brides maid, and our mom bought her mother of the Bride dress. I went in without having any experience in trying on wedding dresses. I had a pretty good idea about what I was looking for but no idea what looked good on me since I’d never tried on any wedding dresses. Amanda was amazing and patient as I tried several different styles. She listened to what I liked and what I didn’t about the dresses me and my MOH chose and then chose several others for me that we hadn’t thought of. I said yes to a beautiful dress that I wasn’t certain I was gonna find. I’m tiny and Amanda was so awesome with helping me feel beautiful and informing me of what customizations I could make to my beautiful dress.-

Exceptional service and professionalism
I'm so thankful I made a decision to travel thirty minutes from my home to visit French Novelty to purchase my mother of the groom dress. I had been to several other stores but had found the service lacking. As soon as I walked in to French Novelty, I was greeted warmly and the search for the perfect dress began. I left unsure as to which dress but was given all of the information I needed to make a decision. Neesh, the young lady who assisted me was not only full of knowledge regarding the dresses but also very professional and kind. She truly made me feel at ease in making this decision. Once the decision was made I called to order the dress and received a call back a few days later saying that it had arrived. I went back to get it and try it on and it's perfect! I shared with Neesh that I almost made a decision to purchase a dress on-line but after meeting her, I was so appreciative of her helpfulness that I knew I had to order from French Novelty. -

I thought I knew what I wanted but after assistance from Laurie who was extremely helpful pointing me towards designers that had dresses in the color and style that I desired we found the one. I absolutely loved the dress I picked, and the process of purchasing the dress and getting it in to the store were very smooth. They even recommended someone for the alterations who did an amazing job. I'd highly recommend French Novelty for any formalwear needs! -

Simply Amazing
I originally came across French Novelty looking to purchase a dress for my sisters wedding. I live in Texas, my sister in California, and French Novelty is in Florida... I got the best service, the best pricing, and the most help working with them (Especially Laurie). A year later it was time to determine my own bridesmaids dresses and of course they again offered the most help and gave me the best pricing I could find. Again, I live in Texas and they are in Florida! I've never met them before and I've never been to their shop, but they were easier to work with than my local dress shops that carried the line we went with. Truly, they are wonderful. Wherever you are, give them a chance to win your business. You won't regret it. -

I found my dress at a store out of state, when I got home I looked online and found French Novelty, so glad I did! The dress was priced lower and the customer service is truly the best. I loved my dress to the Moon and back. Ask for n e esh, she's the best. They were able to match for the theme I wanted the colors I wanted for my dress and for my little man's tux everything was perfect for our special day. And they make things very affordable so it does not break the bank. I recommend any Bride on a budget and especially plus-size Brides because they have quite a variety. With limited time, funds, and being plus sized, i thought getting my bridesmaids dress in time for my sisters wedding was going to be impossible! French Novelty made it very possible with their amazing prices and even better customer service! The dress fit perfect and came in with plenty of time! Not enough good things to say!!
This is your best bet for bridesmaid dresses, ESPECIALLY if you are out of town! This is the second time I have worked with Laurie at French Novelty - and I live in Ohio. The first was for a wedding in a Tennessee. I was the only bridesmaid who was out of town and had to order my dress. I found a French Novelty online, and they were so great to work with that the other bridesmaids ordered from Laurie too! She was the first person I called when I needed a bridesmaid dress for my sister’s wedding. Both times she held the order for us until all the girls had ordered (so the dresses were made from the same dye lot of fabric) and the dresses came in perfect condition, on time, and with a special follow up from Laurie. Love French Novelty and will continue to use them as much as possible!! -

Mary Lou and her staff are truly the best! And so much fun to work with. Mary Lou is extremely knowledgeable about the different dress designers, most flattering styles for your body type, and is just so so helpful in the dress buying experience. I have purchased many dresses from Mary Lou for all different occasions over the years, from pageant dresses to bridesmaid dresses... and I have absolutely loved them all! The only thing better than the quality of the dresses at French Novelty is their customer service. I recommend them to everyone I know for all of their dress needs. What an amazing staff! I live in MD, had a bridesmaid in the UK so since they shipped and their prices were great I ordered from them. Unfortunately there was an import tax snafu when the dress arrived in the UK (not the shop's fault...but word of advice, state that it's a gift!) and after not getting picked up on time by the bridesmaid, the dress was shipped back to Florida. Fast forward to 10 days before my wedding, the shop had still not received the dress, but they were in talks with the postal service to track it down, called me that day to tell me they had the dress and shipped it right to me by 2-day priority UPS and didn't charge us a penny more. They went above and beyond to help us out and now I can have matching bridesmaids :-) Thank you so much Laurie and Pam for all your help! -

OMG when I got my dress I was beaming with joy. All the other websites I tried would have the dress one day and it be gone the next but you all held mines. I can’t thank you all enough for that. I received all five Christina Wu dresses this week! Omgggggggggggg they are gorgeous! Needless to say September can't get here fast enough! I am so looking forward to delivering the dresses to the girls to try on.
French Novelty, you all have been great to work with! I live in Northern Virginia and was nervous about ordering from a distance...by far the smoothest purchase! Laurie you are phenomenal. Having a storefront that I could have visited made all the difference (unlike many online "stores"). Even though I was out of state, it was no big deal to pick up the phone instead - someone always answered.
I work at a bridal salon, we sell Christina Wu Celebration gowns. We had one style in stock, and the other... well I went out on a limb based on the online photo. That should speak volumes - that I decided to shop elsewhere for our large purchase. French Novelty certainly guaranteed the best price.

I chose to have my 14 bridesmaids get their dresses from French Novelty for my New Orleans Summer wedding. I love that French Novelty is an amazing family owned business which is part of the reason why their customer service is top notch. We did a mismatched look in long dresses in the "cloudy" chiffon and I was amazed at how many different styles were offered by French Novelty. Laurie was fantastic in helping me narrow down a color that would look stunning on everyone. All of my bridesmaids looked incredible and they were so happy that they could choose the style that fit them best. French Novelty made it so easy for them to pick the best style for their body type even though the majority of them lived long distance. The dresses came in a very timely manner and the prices were very affordable. I have been a bridesmaid myself about a dozen times and the customer service offered by French Novelty is far superior compared to any place else. Working with Laurie (on the phone and through e-mail since I lived long distance) was so easy and painless. She kept me informed with my bridesmaids' orders and delivery dates every step of the way. Our Flower Girl looked beyond adorable in a dress also from French Novelty. I loved that French Novelty was a one stop shop. I experienced a problem with the dress manufacturer, the French Novelty team made it their top priority to rectify the dress and quickly ship a replacement within 3 weeks. Laurie from customer service made sure to update me at every step so I knew when I would be receiving the replacement. We were able to order our dresses through French Novelty because the price was much less than the stores in our area. The dresses were authentic by the designer, arrived on time and packed securely. The dresses fit according to each girls measurements, with the exception of taking the hem up. I called checking on our order probably more than I should have, but Laurie was very professional and answered all of my questions. I was nervous at first about ordering online for such a special occasion, but do not hesitate. This company was very professional and courteous at all times. I would definitely order from French Novelty again! -

I used French Novelty for my purchasing my Bridesmaids dresses. One thing for sure, you cannot beat the prices! I was short on time but Laurie was a wonderful help when it came to placing the order! She was especially helpful when it came down to choosing the appropriate sized dress with the given measurements for each bridesmaid because she was very knowledgeable when it came to the designer of the dress. Upon receiving my order, I was a little disappointed to find that one of the straps on one of the dresses was sewn twisted and it was not caught during quality control. Given that my wedding day was less than a month away, I became a little stressed out about the situation. As soon as I contacted Laurie, she was extremely professional and eased my stress by immediately contacting the designer to have a new dress delivered ASAP. She was absolutely wonderful throughout the whole process from start to finish. Even though there was a hiccup, I still definitely recommend their services! -

I had a crazy situation and French Novelty knocked it out of the park. I ordered the dress in late April for a wedding in Las Vegas, bride in Montana and I am in Virginia. The bride wanted a particular color in Christina Wu chiffon, any style I chose was fine with her. My communication with French Novelty to ensure proper fitting and timely delivery was fabulous! I didn't even require alterations. One of the other bridemaids had a "not so good" experience with another company and couldnt get the dress in time. I recommend HIGHLY!!! -

I am eagerly awaiting my dress, but have so far received fantastic service from Laurie. I had read a few other reviews saying the same, and thought to myself 'I'll not get someone that helpful', but I really did. Having recently dealt with lots of big corporate companies with the worlds worst customer service, this was such a breath of fresh air, it's nice to see there are still businesses out there that care about their customers. Thank you! -

French Novelty was AWESOME!!! Gloria and her team of professionals were a delight to work with, and we weren't even local to their store! They had the best prices and hands down the best customer service. They always answered ALL of our questions in a timely manner; helped us order dresses for an international wedding; and saw to it that everything was delivered on time. They truly went above and beyond. We even had to rush a dress last minute for a change in the wedding party and it still made it to our bridesmaid AHEAD of the scheduled delivery date! Plus, they offer FREE shipping anywhere in the continental US!! Thank you for being so awesome!!! -

Working with Laurie at French Novelty was a great experience! My daughter was a flower girl in a recent family wedding. I knew the designer and style number that I needed to order in advance. However, I did not realize that this particular designer required a nearly 3 month lead time since they only make dresses after order is placed. I was panicking calling all local bridal specialty stores. I finally called French Novelty, and Laurie did all she could to make sure that we had the dress with plenty of time to spare. The dress came in perfect condition and needed no alterations. -

We did not purchase the bridesmaid dresses from French Novelty. However, one bridesmaid dress was too small and the wedding was two weeks away in Michigan. French Novelty went out of their way to find out if there was extra fabric that could be purchased. They found it and had it shipped to me saving the day. They were so professional, courteous, and caring. I would recommend them to anyone! -

Despite a small mishap with my bridesmaid dress, my experience with French Novelty could not have been better. I ordered my dress and paid the extra fee for rush shipping. When I received it, the dress had a pull in the fabric on the front. After contacting French Novelty (specifically Pam, she's great!), they sent me a shipping label to get it back to them. After they received it, they sent it to the manufacturer to be repaired and in the meantime refunded my rush shipping charge. It did take quite a while for the repair, but Pam responded within a few hours every time I emailed for an update. I got the dress in time for alterations before the wedding. I would recommend French Novelty, my experience with their customer service was fantastic. -

I ordered my bridesmaid dresses from French Novelty, and also ended up buying a dress for my rehearsal dinner here. The dresses I ordered were over $100 less expensive here than another local store I originally found them in! They came in a reasonable time, and they shipped the dresses to my girls that live out of town for free. The dress I found for my rehearsal dinner was a bridesmaid dress that had been tried on a few times and the snap had broke. Gloria fixed it for me on the spot so it was as good as new! -

Jen provided such helpful service in ordering my mom's dress!
There was an initial issue with size and then color and she was able to answer my questions without hesitation!
I was also in communication with her throughout -she suggested the faster shipping which i appreciated and agreed with; she also kept me updated with the progress and informed me as the package was shipped!
My mom is DELIGHTED!! And so am I!

French Novelty has a large selection of dresses from top designers. We first became acquainted with the shop for pagents and proms so we naturally came back when my daughter was getting married. Gloria is a true gem. She is very knowledgeable and will contact the manufacturer if you need additional info. She knows what the latest trends and styles are as well as what type of gown looks best on specific figures. French Novelty has the best prices and service around. Bridesmaids from around the country are able to shop and order on-line. This store is a must for brides and their maids -

I am so pleased with the service I received from French Novelty. You would think with them being an online company that you miss out on the customer service you would get in a physical store, but they were great. Not only did I find the dress I was looking for almost $75 less, but when I opted for expedited shipping, they refunded the extra shipping cost because they realized I was going to receive it in 2 days anyways (this is after they received it from the dress company). From the date I ordered, it took slightly over a month before I received my beautiful, perfect dress in the mail. The quality was exactly what I was expecting (having tried it on in a boutique already) and I couldn't be happier with my shopping experience. I will definitely keep them in mind for future events! -

My daughter was 8 weeks away from the wedding and we still could not find a flower girl dress that we liked. Then we found one from a designer that French Novelty carried. I called and talked to Gloria who was absolutely fabulous to work with. Gloria offered to send us swatch colors close to our plum purple. I did not even have to ask her to do that! They came the next day (we live on the other side of town) all neatly stapled to the card with everything explained. With that we were able to match as close to the bridesmaids color or plum as possible. When I called to order, Gloria told me that designer took 12 to 15 weeks to make the dresses! But, she helped me with the order, we did a rush order and we are so happy because the dress came in in 6 weeks! Our schedules and weekends are so full right now, that I knew we would not be able to get over to the store to pick up the dress, and we were on pins and needles to see it. So Gloria shipped it to us and it arrived the very next day, before 8:00am. The dress is perfect! Perfect color, perfect fit! Gloria was just a breath of fresh air to work with, compared to so many other hurdles we have had getting to the wedding day and I just can't thank her enough for her personable service to me! She is great! -

My problem was a little different than others. I didn't buy my dress there. I got a dress here PA and the seamstress burnt the jacket. I called at least 15 different dress places. they would not even give me the time of day. Darlene was the kindness woman I have ever met. She called the designer and got me the material to fix the jacket. I called them on Wednesday and in one week I had the material!!!!! Believe it or not the jacket was fixed 2 hours after the mailman came. This is the greatest company to work with and I will never forget them for making my day special!!!!!!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. -

PICK FRENCH NOVELTY!!
My friend is a seamstress and recommended to read reviews before I ordered a bridesmaid dress online. The other girls in the bridal party acted quickly and ordered from the cheapest online shop, which ended up discontinuing the dress and forcing the girls to look elsewhere and gave them less time to order before the wedding.
I live in Hawaii and called French Novelty in Florida, and have received the best service I could ask for. The earliest the dress would be available from the factory was sometime after September 1st, as long as it showed up before I left on the 22nd. The dress ended up coming in August 5th, giving me plenty of time!
Living in Hawaii makes it a little risky ordering online and expect things to actually show up on time, but having the direct connection to professionals who know their own business very well gave me the confidence to trust in the whole process.
And since it always seems to come down to money for people, French Novelty does price matching. I even was refunded expedited shipping costs when we figured out an equally effective and cheaper means of shipping.
Gloria and her team were professional and always available to communicate with. Dealing with the deadline and intensity of a wedding is made so much easier with a great company to work with.

I need to tell everyone how impressed I am with this company. I ordered a Watters dress and Watters was seriously backed up on getting the dresses out. Suddenly, due to the failing health of the father of the bride, the wedding was moved up a month. Pam and Gloria at French Novelty made it their duty and goal to get me my matron of honor dress from Watters in time for the new wedding date. They called me and called Watters multiple times and pushed until it was done!!! I’m so delighted and impressed with this company. I will be using them again and recommending them to everyone!!! -

Ordered two Watter's dresses through French Novelty as they advertised the lowest prices online. They beat the bridal shops in Charleston, SC by about 100.00. These dresses were for my son's wedding and the rehearsal dinner and mother of the groom. Their service is excellent. Gloria and Pam take a personal interest and responsibility in their clients. I cannot recommend them highly enough! -
