We had the most amazing engagement shoot with Fra! He really managed to capture us in the most natural way possible, even when we were being helped with poses. The final photos reflected both our personalities and can’t wait to share them with the rest of the family. They portray some deep emotion, exactly what we were looking for and capture the most amazing memories from that evening and we are so glad you were there to help us create them!Francesco Spighi Photography's reply:

My wife and I hired Francesco to take engagement/wedding photos in Florence. He came highly recommended from a jeweler on the Ponte Vecchio and he did not disappoint. Before starting, he really took the time to know us. We had never done this kind of thing before, so for us it was very difficult to get comfortable with at first, but Francesco was very personable, easy to work with, and gave us many tips along the way. By the end it was if one of our friends was taking the photos. Had it been someone else taking the photos I’m not sure we would have opened up as much and the results would not have been as good as they were. Francesco’s style and way of capturing light really lends itself to shooting in Italy. All of the photos are beautiful, creative, and very different than many other wedding or engagement photos we have seen. We could not recommend working with Francesco any more! -

Amazing wedding photos !!!
Dear Fra,
We had the most amazing time going over and over through the incredibly beautiful photos of our wedding you took. We wanted to let you know how grateful we are for the work and energy you put into photographing our special day. As we looked through the photos we sometimes wondered how you were able to capture so many moments at once! We are so happy that we chose you as our photographer, not only because of the way you so beautifully captured our day but also because we loved how you managed to photograph so much yet I don't think we really noticed you were taking photos which we loved because the whole process was so unobtrusive to the festivities. So many of our guests complimented you and your swiftness the day of the wedding and how you managed to be at the right places at the right times. We speak for our guests and ourselves when we say we were so comfortable having you around taking pictures during the wedding because it never felt forced or disruptive.
In summary we just want to say THANK YOU Fra! Thank you for taking us in your car after the ceremony to get to the vines and groves. Thank you for helping us relax when we were having a hard time being natural and didn't know how to stand or where to place our hands for the photos. Thank you for having been so efficient and creative with your time at the wedding. Thank you for capturing the right amount of staged photos as well as spontaneous ones. Thank you for the drone photos! Those we such a treat. And thank you so so much for providing almost 3 times the amount of photos agreed on the contract... It has been such a pleasure having you as our wedding photographer Fra, we wish you only the very best in the future.

My husband and I are so thankful that our wedding planner (Elisabetta Taliani/Special Days in Tuscany) connected us with Francesco! He made us feel so comfortable while capturing beautiful photographs. My five year old niece/flower girl loved working with him as well! Our time together was filled with light-heated conversations plus lots of great gelato recommendations! A true artist, and an all around great person to join us on our special day. -

I cannot express how stunning the photos are that Fra took at our wedding, this July in Tuscany. Not only was he easy to work with, he will immediately put you at ease, if you dread having your photo taken (like my husband and I do). Not only is he a consummate professional, he captured the love and the spirit of the day. Truly an artist of his craft, he is brilliant at composition and lighting and has a sharp eye for finding those unique, funny, and wonderful moments that happen in the sidelines of a wedding day. Such editorial photographs. We can’t thank him enough. Do yourself a favor and hire him - you’ve found your wedding photographer. -

Look No Further
Where do I begin? Fra was absolutely amazing through our whole wedding process! I found his work online and loved his aesthetic. It felt artistic, candid, and expressive. So my fiancé and I contacted him. He requested to Skype (since we live in California). He is so warm and friendly. He got a feeling of what we wanted and which package would be best for our wedding. The day of the wedding he came well before (with a drone) to capture images of the villa, our friends by the pool, and us getting ready. I felt so at ease having him around.
For the actual ceremony, I don’t know how he did it. He got pictures of everything! Our parents from different angles, the look on my fiancé’s face while I walked down the isle, the look on my daughter’s face, beautiful shots of me walking down, the view from the end of the isle toward us, my daughter’s hand on my back while i read my vows (which i didn’t realize at the time, because i was nervous, and never would have known if he hadn’t captured it), my parents holding hands, my maid of honor wiping away a tear, us smiling and kissing as we walked down the isle together, my husband’s impromptu dip and kiss once we were alone, and so much more in between. He got it all. He was doing it alone but you would think he had a whole team with him. I was so impressed!
During our photo time away from everyone, he was great about telling us where to stand and giving some direction but then we just acted like ourselves while he captured it. They turned out amazing. This continued the whole night. He got such amazing shots of all of our guests, the venue, reception decorations, flowers, food, fireworks, dancing, singing, etc. His pictures show how we felt through the entire day. This is the best purchase we made for our wedding. Hands down. The final result is just stunning and we will have these memories through his pictures forever. I’m so grateful to Fra and cannot recommend him highly enough! -

Highly recommend!
Fra was amazing! We were married in Florence early June 2019. He was prompt and helpful throughout the planning process. We felt comfortable taking pictures with him and absolutely enjoyed our time with him! We received our pictures and we absolutely love them. He captured all of our favorite moments. He is so talented. We highly recommend Fra! -

Great & easy to work with
My friends and I spent a week in Florence to celebrate a few milestone birthdays. We are all so thankful we hired Francesco to capture the night of the birthday celebration. He came out to the villa we rented and took so many amazing pictures of us laughing and having the best time. He also took some great portraits and landscape pictures. Francesco was so kind and so easy to work with. We will have these photos to remind us of the trip of a lifetime, and we’ll treasure them forever!!! Thank you so much!!! -
