Father Jonathan was not only an INCREDIBLE officiant, but he is also such a wonderful, caring individual and I know he will remain an important part of our lives as time goes on. When Chris and I first met with Father Jonathan, we felt like we could have talked with him for hours. He was so warm and welcoming. We wanted an officiant who would take the time to get to know us, someone we would be comfortable with. Father Jonathan met with us several times for lunch or coffee. We didn’t always have an “agenda,” but conversations flowed so smoothly. He became someone we were always excited to see. The ceremony that Father Jonathan follows is beautiful, and he worked with us to ensure that it was everything we could have wanted. We selected one reading from the bible and one poem, we wrote our own vows - and Father Jonathan kindly read them over for us before the wedding day (to make sure Chris and I were on the same page in terms of format and length). He really made the whole process so easy and enjoyable. When we learned of having to postpone our wedding because of COVID, Father Jonathan was flexible and accommodating as we worked to select a new date. Come wedding day, Father Jonathan was the star of the show! He provided us with such a beautiful ceremony, all of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how awesome he was. I am forever grateful to him and SO happy that we found him. -

Father Jon was easily the best officiant we could have dreamed to hire for our wedding. Our dream scenario was to be married in our venue of choice but with a Catholic Priest and Father Jon was able to accommodate that for us with such ease. Our pre-marital meetings were so wonderful and we really were able to connect with him on such a deep level. The day of our wedding was so incredible and our ceremony was exactly what we wanted with a few readings, our own vows, and a lovely homely from Father. Hi simply the best. -

I cannot say enough great things about Fr. Jonathan Gray! He made things so easy during our 2 year engagement and met with us multiple times via FaceTime to get to know us and to go over details for our ceremony which made me feel much less stressed about things. It meant a lot to me to be able to bring an aspect of my religious upbringing to a ceremony outside of the church. We got so many compliments about him from our guests! 10/10 would recommend! -

Fr Johnathan helped us customize our Catholic ceremony to beautifully reflect my Catholic background and traditions while not being too religious to meet the comfort level of my husband. It was important to us and my family for me to be married in the Catholic faith but we specifically did not want to be married in a church and Fr Jonathan was the perfect answer! If you’re looking to get “Catholic married” and have your ceremony outside of a church, get in touch with him TODAY.
He did some pre-marital faith based and non faith base counseling with us in the year leading up to our wedding to get to know us and to help us prepare for married life. He is so sweet and caring, open and understanding. He helped us select one reading from Colossians and allowed us to do a second non religious reading. He also helped us edit the text of the traditional marriage service to make us more comfortable and reflective of our values and beliefs. His service was timely and meaningful. We received SO many compliments from all guests on the ceremony with specific compliments to the demeanor of Fr Jonathan and the content of his sermon and homily. -

We are so grateful to have found Father John! We had an ordained family member as well and he was fully on board with sharing the ceremony with him. He was so easy going and fantastic to work with. Highly recommend contacting him if you want to feel as though the person marrying you has known you for longer then a few months. -

Father Gray was the officiant at my wedding this December at the Old Daley on Crooked Lake. We were blessed to find him after having a troublesome experience with another officiant in the area. From the initial meeting, Father Gray was exceptionally kind and warm and made us feel extremely comfortable. We met with him several times leading up to the wedding and he worked with us closely to help personalize our ceremony. When our wedding day came, seeing Father Grey at the end of the aisle helped calm both of our nerves. Our ceremony was intimate and beautifully reflected our journey as a couple. We got numerous complements from our guests regarding Father Grey and we couldn't be more thankful for his services. Choosing a wedding officiant for your wedding is extremely personal, If you are looking for a kind individual who truly cares about the couple, I highly recommend Father Grey. -

Words can not describe how grateful we are for Father Jonathan and how special it was to have him apart of our wedding day. During the months leading up to the wedding, Fr. Jonathan took the time to get to know us and our story and we got to know him. He paid special attention and care to making the ceremony meaningful to my husband and me. On the day of the wedding, Fr. Jonathan was warm, loving, caring and kind. He carried everyone's attention through the ceremony with elegance and skill, making every portion of our ceremony personal and memorable. We continue to receive compliments on how beautiful our ceremony was and how wonderful our officiant is. We are forever grateful to have had Fr. Blessed with his presence
I reached out to Fr. Jonathan in December for our wedding 2/2/22. He responded within 24 hours. His letter captured me the minute I read it. I knew he was the one to officiate! Our wedding was small 5 people and Father. In the middle of the week early in the day (10am). Father is responsive to questions, thoughts and works with you to insure your vision is what occurs. I just love him. And the men present from the 30 something to the 60 something’s loved him saying, “He was so cool.” “He is so well spoken and down to earth.” He is everything you are looking for. And my now husband announced if, “Father was working at a parish, I would want to go to church.” Just reach out to him, you will see! -

We loved Father John and are so happy we chose him to marry us. We met with him on two different occasions before the wedding and each time it was like meeting with an old friend. We felt so comfortable talking with him. While we kept some things traditional with the ceremony it definitely seemed more laid back and relaxed with Father John. We would choose him all over again if we had to. -

Fr. is nothing short of amazing. In fact, we loved him so much, we had him marry us twice!! We had a private religious ceremony and a ceremony for our family and friends on our one year Anniversary! He is so kind and helpful through the loss of our Father in Law, and my God Mother. He is always open, and down to earth. We were very nervous both times but Fr. made everything wonderful and easy! You will be very happy to work with him. -

Fr. Jonathan did a beautiful job as our officiant. We received so many compliments from our guests on his candor, wit, and positivity throughout the ceremony. In the months leading up to the ceremony, we met with him three times in person and once over the phone. We live out of state, so he was extremely flexible with our meeting times. He is so easy to speak with and made us feel comfortable and excited for the big day. From a logistics standpoint, Fr. Jonathan is so knowledgeable and experienced with how the ceremony and marriage license work. He answered all of our questions, and gave us his informed opinion about different ceremony rituals/how the ceremony can flow, while still giving us the authority to make the final decisions. Overall, it was a beautiful ceremony performed by one of the kindest people my husband and I have ever met. I can't recommend Fr. Jonathan enough!! -

Father Johnathon is a gem. He not only did a great job in delivering our ceremony speech and handling all paperwork, but is an incredibly passionate man with a lot of heart who made us feel very at ease. He was very prompt with all communication and was very flexible in meeting with us, which we really appreciated because we live far away. Father Johnathon was more than willing to travel to our venue which was over an hour from his home.
I would recommend him without hesitation for anyone wanting to have a Christian centered ceremony. Our photographer and DJ both commented after the ceremony how great of a job he did. Thank you Father Johnathon. You will always have a special place in our hearts for being at the heart of our special day. God Bless! -

Father Jonathan Gray accepted a challenging request to become an officiant of our wedding, We live in Denver, Colorado and we were getting married in Saratoga Springs, New York. We had to do all of our communication on a long distance basis.
We were seeking an outstanding religious leader to perform the sacred sacraments of our marriage and Father Jonathan EXCEEDED our hopes and dreams.
Father Jonathan was compassionate, loving and understanding. Although our first opportunity to meet him face-to-face was just prior to the ceremony, we felt like he had always been a friend, family member and our touchstone to God. In addition, he has a great sense of humor and a love of all human beings that radiates from his soul.
Frankly, we hope to remain in touch with Father Jonathan forever. He has launched what will be a wonderful marriage blessed by God.
There is no better person that could join your souls together.
By the way, he is humble. He was promoted to Bishop in September of 2018! Congratulations our new blessed friend!

The man for the job 10/10
When looking for a priest we had a specific criteria. We wanted someone who could offer us a Catholic ceremony while also outside. It was important that we felt accepted and not judged on our special day. Father (Bishop) Gray was all of this and more. The first time we met him, we instantly felt he was the priest we wanted to marry us. He was down to earth, very open minded, nice, and even funny. In fact, he made a couple well timed jokes that had our guests cracking up. We even had multiple guests come up after the ceremony asking for information on our priest. And one guest is even considering him for the baptism of their unborn child. If you're looking for a very friendly, well spoken, thoughtful priest, then Fr Gray is the man you're searching for. If we had any true "complaints" it would be that he couldn't stay for the reception and party it up with us. (Probably because he's busy from being in such high demand) We couldn't be more pleased with how our day went, and a huge part of that is thanks to this man. Looking forward to staying in touch over the years, as our family continues to grow.

There is so many good things to say about father Johnathan! First of he is truly patient with you.. he was very kind to me and my husband when we were worried, nervous, stressed during our whole wedding planning. We both didn’t know much but father Johnathan helped us planned our ceremony and offered our marriage to be at the first Lutheran Church in western Ave , Albany NY. I am Roman catholic and my husband was divorced and by the church rules we couldn’t get married at my normal church. Father Johnathan went out of his way to get us a church that would accept my husband so we can both have gods blessing. Our wedding was still done how we wanted , it was a catholic ceremony and my family was very happy.
Father Johnathan held our hand from day 1 to the very end. Our wedding was awesome and father Johnathan looked great! I highly recommend father Johnathan and with out him i don’t think our wedding would’ve felt that magical and spiritual ! Thanks to god we found him. He gets 10 stars from me! Thanks father Johnathan! -

Excellent officiant and as down to earth as they come
Father Jonathan gray is a great man. He truly cares and is a selfless man. He may be the only person in the business that’s not in it just for money. He will get to know you and your spouse by meeting 3 times in our case and talking over coffee. He is very non judgemental. We got to know and love him and will be in touch in years to come I hope. He doesn’t have a price he can not be bought. He had 10 hrs invested in me and my wife because he wants to make sure your marriage is going to work. Ceremony was very emotional and had a few mix ups not on his part and he turned them into laughter. Honestly I paid him 300 dollars but he was worth much more. Some justice of the peace will show up for an hour and charge the same. Lovely man -
