Beautiful venue

Founders Hall was an amazing venue for my wedding! We had our ceremony on the screened porch and it was so beautiful!

Rapid response

My wedding is in November 2019 and founders hall has been very responsive while trying to plan for the big day. I’m so excited and the venue is gorgeous.

Founders Hall at Charles Towne Landing was incredible! We were able to have both the ceremony and the reception here. The staff was incredible and they had so many options for both indoors and outdoors. Their Monday price really was icing on the cake.

Julie and her staff are great to work with. Founder's Hall was the perfect venue for us with it's modern achritecture and serene private courtyard. Although our wedding was cancelled, I would recommend this venue to everyone. It is beautiful inside and out. For us, the Park Ranger was forced to cancel our wedding due to the unfortunate weather known as the Charleston flooding of October 2015. Many highways and roads were underwater and closed. We completely understood the cancellation. But we're astonished when the Ranger Bob offered to refund us 100%. Typically, venues include an "act of God" clause in the contact. We were grateful that they could see beyond this and refund us. Again, just great people all around.

The wedding was beautiful and everyone we dealt with was extremely helpful and made everything so much easier for our big day! I would definitely suggest them to anyone getting married!

I held my reception at Founders Hall. It is a great venue. My bridesmaids, mom and me all got ready there. We were able to relax and enjoy the day. There was ample room for our hair and makeup to be done. The staff was helpful and easy to reach. The tables and chairs were included which was a huge benefit. The room is large and was perfect for our 180 guests.

I am extremely satisfied with the services provided to me thus far. Both Lee and Julie Ann have been absolutely amazing. I am extremely detail oriented and ask ALOT and they always answer in a timely fashion and also continue to provide me with ideas of how to make what I want work in the space. The actual hall is gorgeous, and the ceremony location is beautiful as well.

My daughter and son-in-law recently were married and we selected Charles Towne Landing as their wedding location. We opted to have a two venue event which included the Legare Waring House (ceremony and cocktail hour) and Founders Hall for the sit down dinner and dancing. We origionally fell in love with the Legare Waring House because of the four beautiful bridal suites and the Grooms "man cave". Both the bridal party and the groomsmen were able to hang out all day in their own areas. The ceremony was held in the Avenue of the Oaks which was a beautiful spot to get married. The dinner and dancing was held at Founders Hall which was astunning juxtaposition of the traditional Charleston venue at the Legare Waring House. Julie Ann,Taylor and Lee were all extremely easy and delightful to work with. What a fabulous wedding and the venue really made it very special!

This venue was the PERFECT backdrop to our southern, Fall wedding! The staff is amazing and really helped us to pull our day off without a hitch! I would certainly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking to bring their Southern team to life, while also sticking to a conservative budget :)

Charlestowne Landing at Founders Hall is a beautiful venue for a couple to get married. My wife Martina and I got married there on October 5th and we were very satisfied. The architectural structure venue is unique in it's own right. The pictures captured on the site by our photographer came out beautifully. Our wedding totaled 250 guests, all of which were well accommodated. We definitely recommend this venue.

This venue is an incredible value for the price. Our wedding guests enjoyed both the outdoor and indoor space. The grounds are very well kept and scenic. Our caterer loved that this venue had a full service professional kitchen. Our dj was able to connect to the in-house sound system, sounded amazing! Taylor was very helpful and really responsive. I would choose this venue all over again!

I can’t explain how perfect Founders Hall is to have wedding! The people at the park are so friendly and helpful. Personally, I don’t think photographs do Founders Hall justice. It is such a cool space and so beautiful in person. My fiancé and I had looked into several venues and the minute we walked into Founders hall, we were poking each other like little kids and saying, “This is it!” There are so many elements to the building that make this place special: indoor space that is perfect for socializing and outside spaces that include a covered porch with a fireplace. It was also nice to have that extra room, which allowed my bridal party to bring in hair and makeup and get ready together at Founders Hall.

A BEAUTIFUL venue, and NICE tables and chairs included? Un heard of in Charleston. Nice open modern space, the guests raved of the beautiful building and grounds. I'd have another party there in a second!

This is truly an AMAZING space for a wedding reception!! A modern venue on a wonderful historic site. We have received so many comments on how great of a space it was for our reception. The staff were so great to work with and we could not have asked for a better experience. Check out this location if you have not before!!

Founders Hall is a great wedding venue! The staff is so friendly and helpful and always quick to answer questions, no matter how many you send! The venue is beautiful and we loved having our ceremony outside and then having our reception inside, it was the best of both worlds!

Overall, we had a great experience with Founders Hall. Since we were planning a destination wedding, we wanted a venue that would afford us the opportunity to have the wedding and reception at the same location.

I loved this venue from the very first visit. It was rustic yet chic and had all of the amenities that we needed. Initially, we had to make a few phone calls and emails back and forth to get our date booked but it all worked out. From that point on, the event managers were very helpful in sharing information and vendors in the area that they’d worked with in the past that provided great service. We also loved the fact that we could use any vendor of our choice.

We had planned to get married on the lawn outside but unfortunately, it rained on our wedding day. Fortunately, the screened in patio provided ample space to have the wedding indoors and it was actually more intimate. Everything worked out perfectly.

I would highly recommend this venue for anyone interested in getting married in Charleston!!

Founders Hall was great. Julie Ann is a very fun person to work with. They provided all of the chairs, round tables, rectangular tables, and 10 cocktail tables which save a lot of money. They also let you bring in your own caterer. The setting is extremely beautiful and has a beautiful screened-in porch.

My wedding was AMAZING and I can't thank Julie OldHam and Taylor enough for being so great and professional and helping my mom and I walk through the processes and give us tips and info! This Venue is breathtakingly beautiful, and I owe it all to all of the vendors, to this Venue Site, and the Managers who run this site! Thank you so much for making Ian and I's Big Day our Dream Come True!

The most beautiful venue, great for photos, with a changing room for the bride. The only gripe we had was that they do not allow sparkles/fireworks, but that's a minor point.

Gorgeous, modern venue

All of our guests raved about this venue. We had our ceremony outside on the lawn, our bar in the screened in porch, and the reception indoors. Bonus was the beautiful bridal suite and the patio that overlooked it where my husband and I did our first look and private vows. Rental also includes tables and chairs, which was a huge relief!

This is a Gorgeous venue and can be had for a song. My husband and I nearly wept in our search for the perfect venue in Charleston given our budget until we found Sweetgrass Pavillion.The location is ideal with the cooper river and ravenel bridge as the backdrop, the only word of caution being that it is definitely an outdoor venue. We lucked out in a month with only 3 days of sunshine and actually had a double rainbow grace our ceremony.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! The only thing that was not as professional as we would have liked was there was a miscommunication about our photos. We were told different things by the staff about the ability to take photos on the Charlestowne Landing grounds and ended up being kicked out by the other wedding that was on site, wasting valuable time on our wedding day. Other than the wedding photos, the day was fabulous! Everyone loved the location and it fit our size group (225) wonderfully, with plenty of room outside and on the porches for people to spread out. We were very please overall but would recommend that other brides make sure their plans for photos are clear and have a back-up plan in case!

The Founders Hall at Charles Towne Landing is a very beautiful and elegant place for a wedding. It has the potential to be one of the best places in the Charleston area to have a wedding and reception. Although the vendor is pretty pricey, it is well worth it if your plans are organized. The only problem me and my husband had with this vendor was the amount of people it holds. We know a large amount of people and the vendor was a bit small for us. It seats roughly around 200-260 people depending on your decorator skills for setting up.
