We truly couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding. From the start, Dawn and Keilana were kind, responsive, and incredibly helpful. They made everything feel easy, even when we were navigating decisions around our budget. Every interaction felt warm and professional and they always made us feel like our day really mattered to them.
The Carriage House was ABSOLUTELY beautiful and was just perfect for our vision. The bridal suite was the cherry on top! Dawn, Keilana, and the rest of the FWH staff was always a step ahead, whether it was setting up the ceremony indoors last minute due to the weather, handling transitions between different parts of the day, working with our wedding planner, and accommodating our vendors and guests. We never had to stress about logistics, timing, or anything AT ALL. We got to enjoy our day completely stress-free thanks to the team.
One thing we appreciated so much was their flexibility and support. They were open to our ideas, helped us perfectly solve problems when needed, and offered very thoughtful suggestions that made everything feel even more special.
We got so many compliments from the guests about the food as well. As a foodie myself, I had an absolute BLAST eating literally everything at the cocktail hour and dinner. Our guests also gave compliments about how beautiful the venue was, how special they made the day feel, and their amazing staff.
We wholeheartedly recommend Fort William Henry to any couple looking for a stunning, well-run, and supportive venue. They truly made everything unforgettable.

Incredible Staff, Thoughtful Touches, and an Unforgettable Wedding
We had the most incredible experience hosting our wedding at The Fort William Henry Hotel, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we booked to the moment we checked out, every interaction was filled with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care.
Dawn and Keilana were absolute stars.
Their clarity, responsiveness, and calm confidence carried us through the entire planning process. Keilana answered every little question I emailed her—quickly and thoughtfully—never once making me feel like I was asking too much. Dawn was a steady, reassuring presence from day one, and on the wedding day itself, she even offered me a sip of water before the processional. It was such a small gesture, but it touched me deeply and perfectly captured the thoughtfulness of the entire team.
The staff across the hotel were just as wonderful.
Every staff member we encountered—front desk, housekeeping, restaurant, wedding team—was so kind, helpful, and genuinely invested in making our experience perfect. Our guests echoed the same sentiment and felt so well cared for the entire weekend.
And one moment we’ll never forget: when my husband and I returned from our after-party, still buzzing from the celebration, the front desk proactively offered us a late check-out before we even stepped into the elevator. It was such a sweet and thoughtful touch.

10/10 Recommend Planning Your Wedding At FWH!
I am writing this review just about a week after our wedding at The Fort William Henry Carriage House. I am emotional and at a loss of words for how incredible our entire wedding weekend here was. Everything about our experience was perfect. Keilana and Dawn were so easy to work with from the initial meeting, through wedding planning and most importantly on the day of. I am a type A planner and they always ensured my questions were answered and were very quick to respond to emails and phone calls. On the Friday before our wedding, we told guests we would be in the hotel bar for welcome drinks and even that was perfect. It was an incredible casual vibe inside and some guests were even outside by the fire pit. On the actual day of the wedding, Keilana and Dawn worked without hesitation to set up the wedding to each and every request I had. It was stunning and they truly worked so well with all our vendors to make sure the day was seamless. They were rockstars! The food was also incredible- all of our guests are talking about how much they loved their meals and the grilled cheese tomato soup shooters from cocktail hour. We had our ceremony on the lawn and got so lucky with beautiful weather to have the perfect backdrop for our wedding day. Our guests had an incredible experience. I wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding day and it all started because we chose to get married at FWH! The “new” carriage house is stunning. Even the bridal suite was perfect to get ready in & I had a large bridal party. Thank you thank you thank you to the entire team at fort William Henry for making our wedding spectacular, unforgettable and a special Lake George memory we will always hold close.

a beautiful space!
We had a great experience with the Fort WIlliam Henry hotel. The minute we walked into the carriage house for a tour, we knew we wanted to get married there. The ceremony backdrop is gorgeous, the hotel is one of the nicer ones in the area, the outdoor cocktail hour space is lovely and well kept up, and the reception space is gorgeous. We didn't even need all that many decorations inside because the carriage house did the work for us! Plus, the getting ready room onsite is a game changer. With an elevator that goes right to it, this venue was the MOST wheelchair friendly venue we looked at.
Food was good, options for cocktail hour were plentiful (the mac and cheese bar was a big hit), plus there were options for late night food including a fire pit and smores.
The staff was friendly and helpful, keeping us on task deadline-wise, and always quick to respond to our emails and questions.
This venue was the perfect lakeside wedding destination.

A great event
We just held our 20th anniversary vow renewal ceremony and reception both at Fort William Henry Hotel. Dawn was our point of contact through the process, as we booked everything long distance and without a chance to be on site beforehand. She guided us through everyrhing smoothly, and was there before, during and even after the event to assist us. The venue itself is gorgeous and spacious. Our ceremony was on the lawn overlooking the lake, and our reception in the Lake George room was very nicely done. We had buffet dinner and everything received compliments from our guests. I would recommend this place if you're thinking about an event in the gorgeous Lake George area.

The perfect place the get married!
Our wedding was absolutely perfect. Having the ceremony and reception just steps from our hotel was extremely ideal. We loved being able to see our guests throughout the weekend hanging at the pool and on the veranda. This location was also great because the town and the beach were a quick walk from the hotel. Our guests were able to spend their free time however they wanted; some went shopping, while others went parasailing.
Not only was the location perfect, but Keilana and Dawn were the most accommodating and wonderful people to work with. Throughout the past year, they answered all my questions and special requests, and helped me get organized. The day of the wedding was perfect as well. They helped make every moment flow seamlessly. Keilana even offered to help repurpose the flowers on our arbor after the ceremony, and decorate our sweetheart table. It was a sweet offer, and it allowed us to enjoy our flowers a little longer.

Not only were the wedding planners extremely helpful, but all the hotel staff were also. Anytime I had a question or needed something, I could easily get an answer. Best day ever
I had the wedding of my dreams at the Fort William Henry and I cannot thank them enough. Dawn and Keilana were the biggest help during the most stressful time!! They kept me on track and knew exactly what I wanted. They made sure I had zero stress the day of and took care of setting up and made sure everything was prepared for all of the vendors. Whenever I had a question one of them made sure to answer right away! I do not know what I would've done without them helping me the entire time. The food was also incredible and the atmosphere was even better. We could not have asked for a better view of Lake George. Even a few weeks after the wedding everyone is still saying how gorgeous it was. Again, I can not thank Dawn and Keilana and the Fort William Henry enough for making our day the best. I highly recommend having your wedding here so that you can have the most amazing day possible!

2024 Perry Wedding
Our wedding day was the most perfect, magical day and I can confidently say it was thanks to the incredible staff at the Fort William Henry! From our event coordinators to the bartenders to our banquet staff, everyone was accommodating, professional, kind and engaged. Keilana and Dawn, the wedding coordinators were very timely in their responses vial email, the chef was very personable during the tastings and answered all of our questions, and our bartenders gave quick service and smiled all night! Keilana was especially amazing, she had great composure, kept us on schedule without us ever feeling rushed, and was bubbly and kind while also being professional. We have an overall AMAZING experience here and will recommend this venue to every couple we know.

We had Our wedding at the Fort William Henry Carriage House on October 6. We booked this place in November 2023. From that point on Dawn and Keilana have been phenomenal. Very responsive to any questions we had and always there to provide guidance. Everyone keeps telling us how gorgeous the ceremony was (outsde of the carriage house), the cocktail food was delicious (outside of the carriage house) and how good the food was during the reception as well. Dawn and Keilana set the venue up as we had requested and we could not be more happy with everything. They both always had a smile on their face and happy to help. We are so glad we found this venue for our wedding and reception.

Wonderful!
We made our wedding a three day event with our wedding guests and it was the most wonderful experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time by the pool over looking the beautiful lake and spending time with all of our family and friends that came in for the wedding. Our wedding day was flawless. The bridal suite in the Carriage House was the perfect spot for me and my bridesmaids to get ready and they provided a delicious breakfast and lunch for us. The ceremony and reception was absolutely perfect and weeks later our guests are still talking about how wonderful the event was. Keilana and Dawn were amazing to work with from start to finish. We would HIGHLY recommend Fort Willian Henry for any type of event.

May Wedding at The Carriage House at FWH was a dream
We are truly over the moon with how amazing our wedding was at The Carriage House at the Fort William Henry Hotel!! We original took a tour because of the location, the view and the beautiful set up with the hotel and venue on the same site, but quickly booked when we met Dawn and the amazing team at Fort William Henry. The year of planning was filled with very helpful communication via email or phone calls and multiple venue tours for various family members (which was so kind and truly made everyone feel so involved and considered). The planning was very smooth and thorough with Dawn and team which made the wedding day feel so easy and taken care of. Everyone we communicated with during our wedding weekend was wonderful and supportive. Our guests raved about the hotel and every aspect of the wedding, especially the food! We would recommend this venue & hotel to anyone looking for a breathtaking lake view, a beautiful wedding, amazing food and the most helpful and supporting team making it all happen. My Farytale wedding at Fort William Henry
My perfect day went off without a hitch thanks to Dawn and Keilana. They were so helpful every step of the way. The Carriage House was absolutely beautiful!
As a wedding DJ, I get to DJ in a lot of different venues. Some of these venues are great, and some of them are not so great.
Fort William Henry Hotel is one of our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE venues to work at. The only thing better than the amazing staff are the breathtaking views and scenery.
We have worked here a handful of times and we are always surprised by how efficient the venue staff are and how delicious the food is. We really appreciate working at venues that understand weddings because it truly contributes to the success of the wedding and most importantly, the dance floor!
Fort William Henry Hotel are some of the best at ensuring we don't fall behind and miss out on dancing time. We love working here because they help set us up for a rocking party. Every wedding we've done here has been amazing and the dance floor is packed the entire time!

Friends and Family Told Us We Had the Wedding of the Decade
I don’t know if there are words to describe how amazing our 10/7/2023 wedding was in the Carriage House. We booked the Carriage House in November, 2022. Our Fort William Henry wedding coordinators, Dawn and Natalie are the BEST. They made wedding planning seamless. They are professional, friendly, precise, responsive and fun! It was an absolute pleasure to work with them.
The Carriage House was renovated in May, 2023 and the renovations were stunning. The venue sits right on the water and the hotel is walking distance to the lake and downtown LG. It was the perfect location for us and our guests. No one had to drive the entire weekend!
The day of our wedding was amazing. Dawn and Natalie orchestrated everything. Our guests from Boston/NYC have high expectations and they said our wedding was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. We chose the platinum package and had signature cocktails with a mac and cheese bar, various seafood, meat apps which were an absolute hit. We had 145 guests and there was plenty of room for our memory, gift and dessert tables, dance floor and Photo Booth. The venue itself can hold up to 300 guests, so the size was perfect. My wedding party and I got ready in the bridal suite which is absolutely stunning. The brunch we had was delicious.
For dinner, our guests were OBSESSED with the filet and chicken piccata. Cooked to perfection. The hotel provided a gluten free vegetarian dinner option to our guests that had allergies/conditions and took those requests very seriously.
This hotel is unreal. Close to downtown, views of the lake, we were given not one but TWO wedding planners. We had 9 appetizers at cocktail hour and for dinner, 3 entree options with tasteful carrots, potatoes, salad, dinner rolls and a wine service where servers went up to our guests during the reception and offered them red or white wine. The servers also asked our guests toward the end of the night if they wanted tea or coffee to go with their dessert. I could not believe the high level of service and how incredible the entire staff was- bartenders, servers, set up crew, etc.
I love this. Most venues throw out your flowers at the end of the evening. Dawn let our family members take flowers home and donated the rest to a local nursing home. She is the best!!! That made myself and our families very happy.
The entire Fort William Henry Hotel staff was a PLEASURE to work with. The people, views, food and amazing vendors gave us the best weekend of our life! It was very easy to book rooms, fire pits, brunch, dinner reservations, etc. We can’t recommend having a wedding weekend at FWH enough!

This was an amazing venue to be at, and work with for our wedding this past weekend! Everyone was so helpful throughout the entire process, and the event itself went so well thanks to everyone involved. At any hiccup, people seemed to jump into action and make sure the things that were important to us were a priority. All the staff we interacted with were amazing, particularly the event coordinators, and the bartenders. One of my bridesmaids had asked if they had any of a certain kind of drink and they had not at the time, but later in the night I was pulled to the bar so they could let me know that the bartender had personally tracked down some for me. It helped me keep to my drink plan for the night, and contributed to having the very best time. We felt so well taken care of by everyone, and would highly recommend this venue!

Amazing venue! Absolutely gorgeous!
From the first time we toured the Fort William Henry to meeting Dawn, we knew that was the place we wanted to get married! Dawn and her assistant Natalie were amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure our day was special and exactly what we had planned! They are both kind and friendly, and have an attention for detail. The newly renovated Carriage house is beautiful! It was the perfect location for our wedding. The veiw of Lake George from the property is breath taking!! Our guests have not stopped talking about how amazing and beautiful our wedding was. We cannot thank them enough!! Anyone booking their wedding at the FWH will not be disappointed!!

Dream Wedding
We had the wedding of our dreams at the FWH. Everything was absolutely perfect. The way our decorations were set up were exactly how we imagined. The food was incredible. Dawn was so helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was so responsive to all of our questions and answered everything in a timely fashion. Natalie was so helpful as well the day of the wedding as well. I cannot thank the staff at the FWH enough. The day was just beautiful and our guests loved everything that the FWH had to offer.

A Dream Come True!
Dawn,Natalie and the staff at FWH were amazing! From the beginning we knew we wanted a venue on the lake. The carriage house at FWH exceeded every expection we had. The views were stunning, the staff was incredible and the food still has our guests talking. I am beyond ecstatic that I have to opportunity to provide a review to Lake George’s Ft William Henry Hotel!!! We are from Cali and decided to celebrate closer to husband’s family in upstate NY, but I was just google-ing places, I found one and decided to visit and meet Dawn during the holidays (3months prior to the wedding) and yes, it was a time crunch but the ever calming coordinator-angel sent from heaven,Ms Dawn, was always updating us, and reassured us from the other coast, that everything fell into the right place at the right time!! She even helped me secure a bridal suite that is a few steps to the reception hall (White Lion) so I don’t have to worry about being to far from getting all that I need to just getting a breather during the whole event. The white lion room was perfect, we had a blizzard a few days prior but during that day, we had some snow but we didn’t mind doing the ceremony and reception at the White Lion room, we did not need a lot of intricate flowers/decor because the view of the lake was amazing, including the room itself was just classy and beautiful! Perfect blue skies during the day during cocktail hour and by night we were so lucky I heard the northern lights were visible! The most important thing for me was, I was able to live and love each moment to celebrate our wedding with family and friends. Thanks to the staff, they were all so attentive and just really nice people to speak with, they made it all possible! I was not stressed at all! I enjoy and remember everything about it that we made it a new family tradition to visit every year! Thank you so much FWH! Much love to you all

Wonderful Experience
Dawn was so helpful and super responsive right from our first inquiry, she answered all our questions and made sure the whole weekend was seamless. The White Lion Room was beautiful and the flow from cocktail hour to reception was exactly what we wanted. Dawn checked on me and my bridesmaids multiple times the morning of and made it so easy to relax and enjoy the moment.

Excellent from start to finish - wouldn’t change a single thing!
Dawn and team were fantastic from the first email. She made sure we felt special on our special day. The planning couldn’t have been easier or more organized. Dawn felt like family on our wedding day and helped keep our anxiety/stress level down by always having a smile and a kind word throughout the day. The staff was just as lovely. Even the waitstaff and other employees who we passed in the halls anticipated everything we needed (before we even knew) and stepped in to help put boutonnières on, bustle my dress, etc. The entire evening went smoothly and Dawn and team are to thank for that - they are absolute pros at this!
Extra bonus: the proximity to Lake George! The view is perfect. Our pictures are GORGEOUS. You just can’t beat the uniqueness of having the Minnie Ha Ha’s horn blowing a few times during our ceremony and making an appearance in our photos as we said “I do” - what a great treat for someone who grew up taking steamboat rides on the Minnie every vacation! It made us and our guests smile!

Perfect wedding venue!!!
It was a pleasure working with Dawn and the team at Fort William Henry! Throughout the process Dawn has been very helpful in answering all of our questions. As we got closer to our wedding, Dawn helped us stay organized and coordinate with vendors. The day of was absolutely amazing!!! Everything was perfect, and we could relax and enjoy ourselves. Dawn made sure that we got some time to ourselves, which was really nice. The bartender was excellent, and all of the waiters were kind and helpful! We were super happy with our delicious food! And the views from the premises and ballroom are stunning! Our guests have been raving about the great time they had and how good the food was! We had a perfect wedding day, which was thanks to the excellent work of Dawn and the whole Fort William Henry team!

Great venue!
The Fort was an amazing venue to work with, and so pretty! Dawn kept it contact frequently before the wedding and had answers to every question! On the day of (and even the evening before) she was willing to help with anything. All staff were very kind and helped all guests. The food was delicious. Everything about our wedding day was perfect thanks to them!

Incredible Venue and Wedding Coordinator
The venue was incredible but It was Dawn who was the real star. She was a pleasure to work with and really took the stress out of the rehearsal dinner, wedding day and morning after breakfast. Dawn was so knowledgeable, responsive, friendly, kind and confident. It felt as though my wife and I were working with a friend. Absolutely gorgeous venue!!
I have nothing but great things to say about our wedding at the Fort William Henry on 8/27/22. From booking the venue to the day of the wedding, Dawn has been amazing. She always answered our questions timely and took so much of the stress away. The day of the wedding she made sure everything ran smoothly and I’m so grateful for her and her amazing staff. The day of the wedding my dad was putting together the arbor he made for the ceremony and the staff helped him out and gave him huge stakes to reinforce it. The out door ceremony was exactly what I envisioned. Beautiful views for our guests to enjoy while waiting for the ceremony to start. And as a bride I was so happy with the views because our photos came out absolutely stunning!! The cocktail hour was great! Guests raved about the grilled cheese shooters and slider bar. I loved that this venue gave us the option to do signature drinks as we got to be creative with that and incorporate our pets into the wedding. They lit the fire pit outside during cocktail hour and that was also a hit with the guests. The white lion room was elegantly beautiful and the views of the lake were great from the room! The food during the reception was great and our guests loved the filet mignon. We got married on a Saturday and didn’t know they were doing fire works at the lake that day but Dawn had alerted us and our dj made an announcement so all our guests went outside and got an added and unexpected treat!! We all had a blast at the wedding and that’s thanks to the hardworking staff at Fort William Henry!!! Thank you all!

Amazing and worth every penny!
The mountainous backdrop within the lake scenary stretching for miles, provides perfect wedding photos. A two minute walk down to the waterfront is great for lake front photos.

We had our wedding at the FWH on 7/29/22, and let me tell you...we couldn't have been more happy with our choice of venue!! - not only because of the beautiful scenery that you get but because of the amazing staff members that my husband and I got to work with throughout the process. Dawn was amazing from the first email exchange we had, all the way to the last. She made sure any and all of our requests were met, she was timely with her responses and she made sure the venue space was set up PERFECTLY (down to the last post it note I had labeled for her). I truly cannot thank Dawn and the team at FWH enough for making my vision of our wedding truly a dream come true. Three weeks later we still can't stop talking about how magical the day was! Everything was absolutely perfect. I would recommend the hotel and getting to work with Dawn a thousand times over!!!

My husband and I cannot express our gratitude enough toward Dawn, the wedding coordinator at the Fort William Henry. She was consistently easy to reach and highly responsive prior to and up until the day of the event. Her flexibility and professionalism throughout the entire process of pre-wedding planning and day-of execution extended well beyond our expectations. She was a valuable resource through every step of gathering planning details, offering vendor suggestions, and keeping all of my specific wedding details organized for perfect execution the day of our wedding. In addition to her professionalism and helpfulness, we really felt cared for on our wedding day in a way that made it easy and natural to trust that everything would come together seamlessly (which it did!). She and her team were exceptionally helpful with setup and breakdown, and each and every staff member was kind, took initiative, and was extremely helpful with the entire day. We knew the view from the FWH was magical, and it turned out that the staff made it just that much more special for our wedding day. Could not recommend a better place or a better team of people to work with for a wedding.

Loved EVERYTHING about getting married here!
I loved everything about getting married here. For starters, working with Dawn as my wedding coordinator was amazing. She was so helpful with any little thing I asked and the day turned out exactly as I had envisioned. All of our guests can’t stop talking about how beautiful the venue is and how good the food was — and the venue is undergoing renovations to make that experience even more beautiful (but I’m not going to lie, I think it’s so special that our big day was one of the last weddings with the old setup!)
We also wanted our beloved dog, Rex, to be a part of our big day and Fort William Henry allowed that, so that was incredible!
All of the staff at the hotel were amazing to us, our family & guests. Again, DAWN was INCREDIBLE. It was also great that we all could stay in one place and not have to worry about everyone driving in the Adirondacks at night (which is something I didn’t like about other venues in the area).

Working with FWH, especially their amazing wedding coordinator Dawn, was so easy and fun. Dawn is excellent at coordinating weddings and truly cares about making your wedding day a great experience. She made every pandemic induced change stress-free and easy to deal with, was incredibly accommodating, and ensured that our ceremony was outdoors, despite continuous random rain. Dawn is an excellent communicator and a wonderful person with a wealth of knowledge. FWH is a beautiful venue for a Lake George wedding.

Amazing service and beautiful views
Our wedding was absolutely perfect! Dawn, our wedding coordinator made sure the day went smoothly and was there every step of the way. She even made sure my husband and I stepped out of cocktail hour for a moment to our selves ( much needed!). We postponed and dealt with on and off COVID restrictions - this venue stuck by us through it all! They put us at ease during a unusual and stressful wedding planning experience. The food was exceptional and our guests were extremely pleased with the atmosphere, friendly staff and food. Definitely recommend!

Better than I could have imagined!
We had an incredible wedding day thanks to Dawn and her team. We planned our wedding from across the country and Dawn was fantastic with responding to emails and phone calls from multiple people. The staff was super flexible with times to meet with us and taste food based on when we were in town. Dawn was amazing on the day of and turned the room into something beautiful with the minimal decorations we brought. She helped pull me aside to bustle my dress and pulled my now husband and I into the reception room to give us a few quiet minutes to reflect and eat. As someone who has planned events for work, I thought I would have a hard time giving up control, but Dawn made it so incredibly easy to sit back and enjoy my wedding day. The reception room and view was unbelievable and we really heard nothing but good things from our guests. Thank you Dawn and FWH for an amazing day!

We chose FWH for our 8/31/19 wedding and could not be happier!!!! Dawn is absolutely amazing to work with and went above and beyond to make our day run smoothly. From bar/package changes while planning to bustling my dress day of, she was there every step of the way with helpfulness and encouragement. She is so talented at what she does.
The staff was kind and incredibly helpful, including the chef who accommodated MANY food allergies. The food was delicious and the portions were huge! Everyone left full and happy.
We can't say enough good things about our choice. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were able to just relax and enjoy our weekend. Thank you so much to Dawn and the FWH team!

Fort William Henry was the perfect wedding venue for us. It is beautiful, the staff were incredible and it was lower price than most other equivalents.
The wedding coordinator Dawn is great to work with. She will go way out of her way to help you get everything prepared. Throughout the dinner, the staff treated my wife and I with incredible service. I don't think I'll ever be rich or famous enough to get the service that they gave us.
Bravo to the staff and thank you for the memories.
Also, for wedding photos we took some photos with the French and Indian war reenactors; made for really cool photos!

Dawn really takes the time to sit with you and make sure everything is exactly how want. All of our guests had so many good things to say about all the staff! We love the Fort and definitely suggest having a wedding or any event there! We will definitely be back.

We cannot say enough about Dawn and all the people at FWH. They helped us plan a wedding in under 8 weeks, that turned out better than we could have imagined. They made everything leading up to the day so easy and the day of was just a dream. Everything went so smoothly, if there were any issues Marie and Dawn did a great job of taking care of them before I ever knew. The venue and view were picture perfect and the food and service was wonderful, all our guests kept commenting on it! They made it possible to sit back and relax on our wedding day and enjoy it all. We are so thankful and would recommend them to anyone!

Amazing from start to finish
The wedding coordinator, Dawn, was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. Her dedication to her customers and her willingness to do everything she can to accommodate your special day was exceptional. She was more than willing to talk through every detail as many times as I needed to make sure everything was perfect. She made sure our wedding was everything we wanted it to be and made sure I had no worry at all... even down to bringing my visions to life with the decor. The staff was great, the food was delicious and the views were beautiful. I have zero complaints about this venue. I give 5 stars to every aspect of Fort William Henry

Wonderful staff and experience
We were both blown away by our experience at Fort William Henry (“FWH”). We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception all at the FWH and everything went better than we could have ever imagined. Dawn Bennett was the hotel provided wedding coordinator and working with her could not have gone smoother. It’s rare to find someone who can be organized and take charge when needed, while also being so calm, easy going and accommodating. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, and took care of everything, big and small, allowing us to just enjoy the day. Not only was Dawn great, but the entire staff throughout the weekend kept impressing us with their customer service. Everyone went above and beyond what we would have expected. Several members of our family and friends even commented on how that was some of the best service they’ve EVER gotten. The staff ensured that we optimized our time with our guests, while still taking the time for ourselves to enjoy everything that was going on around us. We also had some special requests for our wedding that they were able to accommodate.
We’re from Saratoga and have been to Lake George several times, and we were still very impressed with the views (both indoors and outdoors) from the FWH. Being up on the hill you have a great view of the water and mountain background and feel like you have it all to yourselves, allowing for great photos and atmosphere. We would highly recommend the FWH to anyone looking at Lake George weddings. They have a great system down.

Got married here on 7/15/18 and Dawn and her staff at the FWH were AMAZING! They were very professional and super responsive to all of my questions. They were also very flexible with our set up and took my idea and ran with it. They made sure we were fed the entire night (and sent food up to our room post event, food was delicious!). They handled all communication day of with vendors and helped everything run extremely smoothly. Even when there were changes last minute (people dropping out....) they were incredibly helpful and made changes so fast, i didn't even know what happened until after! Wonderful, wonderful staff.

My husband and I had an absolutely beautiful wedding at Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center. The location is breathtaking and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. From the moment we walked into FWH we knew we didn't need to look any further for our wedding venue. From the start Dawn was amazing. She was quick to respond to my questions and was easy to work with during the months leading up to our wedding. We stopped in several times without an appointment and Dawn always took the time to talk with us. We arrived a couple days before the wedding. Dawn had everything under control, and put my mind at ease as we had a couple special requests. Dawn and her staff were beyond wonderful. From the moment we came down until the moment we left the reception hall, the staff were more than attentive. They brought us drinks after the ceremony and made sure everything we wanted or needed was taken care of. We didn't have to worry about a thing because everything was taken care of from the start to finish of our wedding. The staff took care of all the stuff we brought for the wedding and packed it up for us to get in the morning. The only small issue we had was with the check in. Our guests were supposed to get welcome bags from us and there was some confusion and the lists were wrong. We had to ask our guests if they had received their bags at check in, and direct those who didn't back to the lobby to get them. There were several weddings going on that weekend.
We had our wedding on the lawn overlooking the lake and everyone commented on how gorgeous the views, and the venue were. Food was amazing and we got numerous compliments on the appetizers, and meal.

The staff at Fort William Henry were just amazing for our wedding. If you are looking for a wedding venue in Lake George, FWH needs to be an option. The best thing, Dawn Bennett. Dawn is the wedding coordinator who will make your vison come true! She is thorough and meticulous and will guide you through one of the best days of your life. Myself and my family are so thankful for her.
The venue in itself is great! The White Lion Room held my reception and was beautiful. The outside area is perfect for guests to mill about all night if they choose. The food was delicious. I was passed along compliments all night on the food.
You and your guests can all stay in one location at the hotel. The rooms are nice. Not only is this convenient, but smart!
I loved Fort William Henry. The staff, venue, food...all lived up to our expectations.

Fort William Henry staff went above and beyond to make our day everything we hoped it to be. It poured the day of our wedding which no one ever wants on their wedding day but fort william henry made everyone feel comfortable proving towels to guests who had gotten wet on their way in. We had planned to have the ceremony out on the lawn with a beautiful arbor my husband built but due to the rain it was not letting up. So the staff went out in the pouring rain to bring in the arbor and we had the ceremony in the tanker tavern. It was so beautiful everyone was huddled together close which made us feel close to all our family and friends it was absolutely beautiful.

When we got engaged we knew right away that Fort William Henry was where we wanted to have our special day. We planned a long engagement (2 years) knowing we would need some extra time to plan a wedding 3.5 hours from home.
Dawn Bennett and her team were nothing less than amazing. Marie was our server for the tasting and for the reception and was such a great person to take care of us. The White Lion Room looked amazing and it was so great to have the Tankard Tavern and the deck outside for people to pull away from the party for a breath of fresh air. We had our ceremony outside on the lawn overlooking the lake with the foliage of the Adirondacks in the background. It was breathtaking.
The food was excellent. We had selected the platinum package for our wedding and the amount of food was perfect. We heard from so many of our guests how much they loved the spread during cocktail hour and that they were actually full after dinner!
There is one thing that stood out above the great servers, wonderful bartender, and beautiful venue; Dawn Bennett. She went above and beyond for us. Being 3.5 hours away was not easy. She was so great to help make this process go so smoothly for us.
Fort William Henry was such a great choice for us. Many times over the week after our wedding we heard our guests raving about how this was the best wedding they have ever been to. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day such a memorable experience for us and the other 113 crazy Bostonian's.

Dawn Bennet was super and there for all our needs. She made sure we got to the limo on time, assisted in finding an alternative place to take pictures when it started to rain, and even found some snacks for my Granddaughter (who was 4at the time) when she started to have a melt down when she got hungry. At the reception, the waitress who served the head table was exceptional and tended to our every need. They even got a pillow for my Granddaughter when she got tired so she could lay down in comfort.
Anyone who would like a facility with beautiful views and an attentive staff, this is the place.

We got married at the Fort William Henry Hotel, having been going there for years. We would not change a thing and, given the chance, would do it again 100 times over.
Dawn was amazing and helped whenever needed from start to finish. She is fantastic and made the ceremony and reception site even more wonderful than we ever could have imagined. She followed our vision to a tee, and made it even more. The entire wedding was magical, and the staff took care of us throughout. The food was wonderful, the room was beautiful, and our guests were in awe of the venue and of the entire event.
Everyone involved made it a day we never will forget - a cherished memory that was better than ever imagined.

Everything went off perfectly at our wedding, 10.18.2014! We received so many compliments on the food, decor, and view of the lake. This hotel is in a fantastic location, and they don't squander it. Staff were all very courteous and helpful, and the wedding packages they offer are very reasonable.

My wedding reception at Fort William Henry was amazing. Dawn, the wedding coordinator, was fabulous. She was attentive and helpful tying up any loose ends. For the cocktail hour we had a musician set up on the deck and our guests were able to relax outside listening to music, playing corn hole and shuffle board. My husband and I got married on October 12th of this year and had our reception at Fort William Henry. We began our process working with Roberta and were upset when she retired, but we had absolutely nothing to worry about. Christine is amazing! She promptly responded to all of our questions and concerns, was so flexible with what we wanted to see for our big day, set up the room BEAUTIFULLY, and the whole staff made sure that the entire evening went smoothly and wonderfully. We threw seemingly everything at them - our homemade centerpieces, multiple vendors dropping things off, a cigar bar, different instructions for various tables..... and everything was perfect. This was somewhat of a destination wedding for us, as we're from the DC area - and therefore, we thought it would be difficult to plan the wedding from afar. Although we only visited the venue a couple of times before the wedding, the incredible staff at FWH helped to make sure we didn't have to worry about anything. Thanks so much!!!!!

Our ceremony and reception was held at the Fort William. Christine Roberts was our event coordinator. She was wonderful to work with! Very detail-oriented, helpful and kind. The ceremony was at the gazebo, which was beautiful! The staff was very friendly and professional. I gave them my decorations and items for the ceremony and reception and they placed everything as I asked for. The food was served hot and we had good portions. It was delicious! We held our wedding weekend at Fort William Henry in August and it was truly magical. It was a destination wedding for all of our 70 guests and 59 of them stayed in the hotel. They hosted a rehearsal dinner for everyone, the ceremony, reception and brunch, and it was all wonderful! They were extremely accommodating, and really went above and beyond to make sure all was perfect. Christine Roberts was outstanding in her promptness, kindness and attention to detail. My husband and I are both professional chefs, so the food was a main focal point for us. We had stations set up for two hours all around the room and our guests were blown away by it! Honestly, our friends and family have been saying it was the best food they've ever had at wedding! The service was outstanding from everyone on staff. The whole weekend just felt smooth and elegant and handled! I highly recommend Fort William Henry as a wedding venue!

Roberta and the entire FWH banquet staff are phenomenal. I’ve worked with them in the past for smaller events (showers and what not) so I knew that putting my wedding in their hands would be a no brainer. I can honestly say that our wedding day was everything that I could have wished for and more. My only regret falls on Mother Nature and her inability to change the leaves in a timely fashion.
The venue itself couldn’t possibly have been more beautiful. I can’t even express how many compliments we received on our choice. Everyone loved that we had both the ballroom and the tavern available to us for the reception. It gave our guests room to spread out which they all really seemed to appreciate. The food was AMAZING! Our hor d’ouerves were delicious and our entrée selections were phenomenal. We’ve had countless guests tell us that their meals were by far the best wedding food they’ve ever had.
In short, Fort William Henry made our wedding day the amazing event that it was. Without the help of Roberta and her staff, we would have never had the incredible time that we did. Many of our guests have said that our wedding was the best wedding that they’ve ever been to and I know that the FWH staff is to thank for that.

Best Day Ever!
My husband and I got married at the Carriage House August 2025 and everything was a dream! Keilana and Dawn are amazing! They are both so sweet and professional. Flexible and work hard to make your vision a reality!
Food was delicious, especially their mac and cheese chef attended station!

Amazing experience!
We had an amazing experience hosting our wedding at Fort William Henry Hotel. Dawn was amazing to work with throughout the planning process and on the day of - her level of expertise and experience cannot be matched. Everything on the day of was absolutely beautiful and all of our guests had an amazing time enjoying the venue.

A gorgeous venue with an equally stunning view
When my husband and I were looking for a venue I had the dream of huge windows looking over the mountains and a lake, The Carriage house brought that vision to life. Even when it rained on our wedding day the guests couldn't stop raving about how beautiful the views and space were. Even when the staff had a few hiccups with this being the carriage house's first season they made sure you had the wedding you wanted.

We were very happy with everything from start to finish. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful, Roberta (our wedding planner) was great, the outside ceremony was gorgeous, the function room was beautiful. Everything was perfect. It had been very rainy the weeks prior to us checking in the day before the wedding and my room had a very musty smell. They hotel staff went out of their way to change my room and made sure that my new room was okay. I would highly recommend a wedding at Ft. William Henry!

A day we did not want to end
From the very beginning when we arrived to the wedding day we felt welcomed and that it was our special time. Great job the day of with setting up and dropping off everything for the wedding. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were absolutely amazing. From the food to the service and the environment. Wonderful job!! Thank you.

The Venue is gorgeous, the food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. The wedding planner, Dawn, was so great to work with!
The Carriage House exceeded my expectations for our wedding. The remodeled building over looking Lake George is gorgeous. The wedding planners helped make sure everything went smoothly. The service and the food were fantastic!!

Best wedding day!
Dawn and her team at FWH were amazing. My wedding day could not have gone more perfect! Aside from the perfect weather, everything was in order and I was not stressed at all due to Dawn. I had only great reviews from my guests regarding the day and the food. The only thing that I did hear from multiple of my guests was that the bartender serving all night was extremely rude. Dawn and the team laid out all of the decorations that I brought in perfectly and the reception looked great. Dawn and her assistant came to see me multiple times throughout the day to see if everything was going well and make sure I was not stressed which was extremely helpful.
