We cannot put into words just how glad we are that we chose Forrest Pond Lodge as our wedding venue. The amount of care, attentiveness, and love that Patty and Thomas pour into the venue and their newly weds is absolutely unmatched.
Our wedding was on a Saturday and Hurricane Helene had made its way through the region on Thursday night. Friday morning, we left our powerless house and made our way to the venue. We weren’t sure what challenges we’d be facing due to the hurricane, and arrived to find that Patty and Thomas had already been working on the property for HOURS with a team of helpers. The venue was without power and water due to the storm, but Patty and Thomas made sure the property was SPOTLESS. From our photos, you never would have been able to tell that there had been a hurricane in the days before!
As we navigated several vendor challenges due to complications from the storm, Patty was in contact with everyone throughout the weekend and kept us updated to the best of her ability. So much was out of our control, but Patty and Thomas had our back through every hurdle. They poured blood, sweat, and I’m guessing a few tears, into trying to make sure our wedding was as close to everything we could have dreamed of.
Amidst our candle-lit rehearsal dinner Friday night, the power and water was restored at the venue!! Seeing the lights all come on during our bridesmaids versus groomsmen “Friends” style trivia game, was a moment we will never forget. I’m honestly not sure who was more excited — us or Patty!
The beauty of Forrest Pond Lodge is something even the best photographs (courtesy of Steph Powell Creative) can’t fully capture. We received countless compliments from our guests about how gorgeous the property was. One of the best things about FPL though, is the ability to rent the property for the whole weekend and provide accommodations for your wedding party. For us, the fact that we had access to the venue for the entire weekend was absolutely ESSENTIAL to making our wedding day happen.
Our wedding weekend seemed to throw curve ball after curve ball, but we can honestly say that Patty and Thomas were one of the few dependable constants. We had prepared ourselves for things to go wrong during our wedding weekend, but absolutely nothing in my extensively planned wedding guide could have prepared us for all the challenges of this hurricane. You don’t have control over what will go wrong when it comes to your wedding, but you do have control over who you choose to face those challenges with — and there is nobody we would recommend more than Patty and Thomas. -

Forest Pond truly checked all the boxes for my daughter’s perfect wedding weekend. The picturesque setting is unparalleled. We continually heard comments from our guests about the beauty of the venue and surrounding grounds. I can remember the feeling I had when I woke up at the lodge the morning after the wedding thinking, “Wow, we just had the perfect wedding weekend!” It was a wonderful feeling! We had the BEST wedding weekend at Forrest Pond Lodge. Everything about the venue is perfection. Mrs. Patty was always there when we had a question and let us tour anytime we needed to, to make sure our dream wedding vision could come to life. She literally feels like family to us now. All of the grounds at the venue are well taken care of at all times. We rented the venue for the entire weekend and the lodge had plenty of room for all of my girls to stay the night before and to get ready! We had a Christmas wedding and we could not have picked a better venue for our special day. It was more than we ever dreamed of! I highly recommend Forrest Pond Lodge! You won't regret it! -

We could not have asked for a better venue! Everything was stunning! You can tell that Patty and Thomas truly do have a heart for weddings. The grounds and buildings are taken care of beautifully. Patty was so incredibly helpful! She helped us find local vendors and different ways to set up the ceremony and reception space. Their biggest goal was making sure that we had the wedding of our dreams. I could not have asked and prayed for a more beautiful day. -

We had a wonderful experience at Forrest Pond Lodge. My daughter and my now son-in-law were married on the front lawn of the venue overlooking the pond. They also stayed at the lodge with members of their wedding party the night of the rehearsal dinner (which also took place at the venue). Patty worked with us during every step of the process leading up to the big day. We couldn’t have been happier with choosing Forrest Pond Lodge. -

Everything about booking forrest pond lodge was so easy. Patty is amazing. She helped me find vendors and a wedding planner, let me visit the venue any time I needed and was always so gracious. The venue was everything we wanted and everyone I'm attendance fell in love with it too. Very grateful to have run into them and their venue! -

The best!!!
It was the best day that we ever dreamed of! From the time we got there until we left! We can’t thank y’all enough for being a part of our lives from the beginning!!!! From the time we arrived on the property we were in love with the peace and serenity you immediately felt. Mrs. Patty was the sweetest soul and was so kind through the whole process and was so responsive. She was super helpful with vendor recommendations as well. We enjoyed our whole weekend out here with family and friends and being able to wake up Sunday morning and spend a few hours just sitting with my new spouse and soaking in the view together to start the day was the best start to our next chapter together. I cannot recommend Forrest Pond Lodge enough. The venue is so versatile and has so many options you can utilize. We did a lake side ceremony and did our whole reception in the covered outside area downstairs under the venue. If you take the time to tour this venue you will be in love and you won’t regret spending your wedding day at this beautiful place. -

Absolutely amazing experience! Perfect venue and breathtaking scenery!
The Forrest pond lodge was a dream come true for our intimate wedding. Patty and Thomas made sure every detail was taken care of. The beauty and intimacy of this spot cannot even be captured in pictures. The picturesque views allowed for amazing wedding photos!!!
The venue is absolutely perfect for any style of wedding! Patty and Thomas ensured that everything was in place without us even having to ask!

Beautiful venue, wonderful owners!!
My review is so late, but we got married 12/17/22 and Forrest Pond Lodge was the best venue we could have ever dreamed of! The owners, Patty and Thomas, were so kind and helpful. They were able to answer every question we had! They were available and flexible. The venue was perfect for the vision we had of our wedding. The views are gorgeous, the lighting in the venue is great and we loved the flexibility of the ceremony locations. We loved that the lodging was on site for all of the wedding party, it made everything so much more convenient for setup and take down! Highly recommend FPL! Also, the location of the venue itself is perfect, because there's so much acreage on the property, yet it is still close to food options and hotels. Everything was perfect!! -

Capital A-mazing!
I cannot say it enough how amazing it was to get married at Forrest Pond. My now husband and I both knew from the first time we saw it, it was our venue. Your breath gets taken away the second the venue comes into view while coming down their drive. And as gorgeous as the venue and lodge were, the owners Patty and Thomas made it just that much more worthwhile. Patty was very sweet, responsive and easy to work with. -

They are the absolute best!
This is the most beautiful venue that we could have imagined for our wedding day. Mrs.Patty was always so quick to respond and let us come view the venue and showed us what all the property had to offer for our special day. It was the perfect location for our wedding and I recommend it to all of my friends for their wedding venue location. -

Wonderful to work with
This venue was the perfect choice! Most of the bridal party lived out of state, this venue and lodge accommodated all of the bridal party. We had the opportunity to visit and create many wonderful memories on and before our wedding day with our closest friends and family!
The ceremony site was gorgeous!
The Wrights were absolutely great to work with! I highly recommend Forrest Pond Lodge to any bride looking for a wedding venue or any family looking to spend some quality time together and make wonderful memories.

Forrest Pond was a perfect setting for our son's wedding. While the venue is beautiful, the availability of the lodge to house the mostly out-of-town/state wedding party was a win-win for everyone. I would definitely recommend Forrest Pond to any bridal couple. -

Corbitt / Belcher Wedding
This is a beautiful place to have an elegant wedding, with all the amenities. We rented the venue and the house for the wedding party, being so many came from out of town, everyone enjoyed the space and convenience of the grounds. -

Forrest Pond Lodge is an amazing wedding venue with wonderful lodging accommodations. The experience from the first tour to signing the contract to our wedding day was superb. We felt so special as if we were the only couple planning a wedding there. Even though you may decorate and have a wedding theme, Forrest Pond is breathtaking in itself--a hidden gem. -
