Excellent service
Forrest Hills provided a beautiful and elegant location for our wedding. They worked with our condensed timeline and were flexible with scheduling and allowing outside vendors (live music and florist) to set up. There is nothing about our day that we would change, and part of that is thanks to the professionalism of the staff and wedding coordinator for exceeding our dreams/expectations. I highly recommend utilizing the Mountain Laurel Inn for a rehearsal dinner and staying there with family and close friends for the weekend; it makes all communication/travel so much easier with everyone in the same place. -

Easy Last Minute Planning for our Intimate Wedding
Forrest Hills and Levi made the last-minute planning for our small wedding, easy and an absolute a joy! Levi was very easy to work with and communicates well. He was knowledgeable and able to handle anything and everything with no issues and minimal help for me. It was great to work with his contacts and vendors and I met some really nice people who did exceptional work. As a team you can’t beat their team work. Made it a night to remember. I would do any event with Levi and Forrest Hills. Loved it!

Not just about the location...its also the staff!
The location was perfect. The bridal suite was shabby chic for the girls to get ready. The secret garden was BEAUTIFUL and intimate. Our photos have the most beautiful nature landscape. With the reception doors right near the ceremony it was perfect. The reception was more than we could have asked for from service, food, to decor and set up. The food was very tasty and the CAKE over the top. PERFECT for our 28 guests. We would not change anything. Levi was amazing and so helpful and FUN. We look forward to visiting and planning for events with you! -

Everyone at Forest Hills was very accommodating. They took care of everything from photography to our small homemade delicious wedding cake. The photographer was a plus beautiful pictures. Great couples massage the day before and wonderful carriage ride to our ceremony site! -

We had our wedding ceremony and reception recently at Forrest Hills, and every single thing about it was fantastic — from the ceremony site itself (the Fox Hollow gazebo) to the Rose Garden Dining Room reception, from the lodge we booked for our friends and family to stay with us to the absolutely amazing breakfasts Saturday and Sunday, from working with Levi, the wedding coordinator (and an absolute rock star) to the beautiful views all over the property. I cannot say enough about what an absolutely wonderful time we had, as well as our guests. People have been texting me daily complimenting the venue and our reception food (the pork loin and creamed corn are basically the stuff of legends now for our attendees). Planning a wedding is nerve wracking, and while there were snafus none of them were on the part of anyone at Forrest Hills — yet they helped us deal with them with aplomb. We've already discussed returning there to celebrate our first anniversary because it will always hold a special place in our hearts now. As my now-husband said as we left, "This weekend was absolutely everything I could have imagined or hoped for it to be." -

What can I say but Forrest Hill Resort allowed my husband and I to have the fairytale wedding of our dreams! From the amazing staff to the breathtaking scenery and lodges. Our wedding coordinator Levi is absolutely the best, his amazing smile with the personality to match understood our vision and made it happen, he touched bases on the times the carriage ride would pick us up as well as the weather forecast..... The Secret Garden was decorated beautifully, and the food was great champagne glasses stayed filled and our guest were so happy..and this those who stayed said they'll be back for a anniversary or wedding planning. Now the most gracious, exciting, well-spoken, beautiful Wedding officiant Mrs. Jackie was everything!!!! I absolutely love her, she was so passionate with her delivering our numpuals, we had a sand ceremony planned but forgot the sand however Mrs. Jackie substituted that moment with a hand holding prayer to blend our stepchild together and it actually felt more spiritual and intimate. She comforted my son 9 year old son on the spectrum who became overstimulated during the ring exchange by encouraging him that he was doing an awesome job and it worked 💯. Jackie and Levi we love you and the amazing staff from the cook to Mrs. Donna and her outstanding cake my guest are still raving about how mouth watering and sweet her cakes are. Forrest Hill Resort is a top 10 for sure!❤️❤️❤️ -

Everything went as planned. The venue delivered everything as promised. The room- accommodations were super clean, the ceremony venue was a dream with the fall foliage and the reception was amazing. The chef did a superb job, the bartender and serves were super friendly and polite catering to everyone's needs and Levi Hansard the venue wedding director went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were taken care of. I absolutely without any hesitation recommend this venue. Thanks to all of their efforts I had the wedding I had envisioned. -

June 28th 2022 my wife and I got married at Forrest Hills Mountain Resort. We are both a little older and this was not our 1st marriage. We enjoyed the Resort and all the staff! We stayed 5 nights with close friends and family. The food was excellent and our wedding coordinator Levi was the best. The Resort grounds and the area is beautiful with alot of things to do. The prices are reasonable in my opinion. We will go back someday. -

As my review title states, there are no words that will adequately describe the happiness and joy that I felt during our wedding weekend. I wish I could say the feelings began that weekend but they did not. From the moment I met Levi, I KNEW Forrest Hills Mountain Resort was the venue for us. He was absolutely amazing from the very beginning. From our initial meeting, my love for his staff grew. I will ALWAYS have connection with Ms. Jackie. I LOVE this group and you can tell that they love what they do and take pride in their work. There is not one aspect of our weekend that I have anything negative to say. Everything was absolutely perfect...and I mean everything. I will recommend Forrest Hills Resort ten times over today and always. -

Best Day of Our Lives! We Love Forrest Hills!
Forrest Hills Resort will forever hold a special place in my heart. On October 22, 2021 we got married in the larger gazebo in the wedding garden and it was hands down the best day of our lives!
In the morning, my bridesmaids and I got ready on-site in the newly renovated bridal suite, which was done so beautifully and it comfortably fit nine people (including the hair and makeup ladies and their items). While I waited for my turn in the salon chair, I went outside to find a perfect first look spot for my bridal party reveal and for my dad's reveal. Right around the corner, where they do elopements, there is a beautiful garden and mini gazebo that turned out to be the perfect location. The pictures came out phenomenal! For my first look with my fiancé, we chose to drive up to the front of the resort where there's a bridge and beautiful big trees which also turned out to be incredible photo locations!
The ceremony stole my heart. I was pulled in on a horse and carriage and the feeling you have as your guests and soon-to-be husband look at you when you're pulled in for the grand entrance is heart-stopping. I truly felt like a princess. The ceremony location is breathtaking and the whole garden is manicured perfectly. We had extra time after we did our family photos and when they asked if we wanted to join the cocktail hour I said no because I just wanted to soak in the beauty of the ceremony location.
Our reception took place in the Rose Garden, which was also newly renovated and they did an incredible job! The best part is everything is included; the tables, the chairs, the linens, the lanterns, the cake stand, and set up and take down. But WOW, the food! I have to stop and rave about the food. The salad, the mashed potato bar, the prime rib, the spaghetti (yes I risked it even in my dress and it was SO worth it) were all fantastic. Many of our guests got up for seconds!
But what I really loved most about Forrest Hills was Levi Hansard. Levi is a GEM at Forrest Hills and we could not have done any of this or had a perfectly smooth and magical day without him. I've known Levi for two years (we postponed due to Covid) and he is so patient, kind, funny, and will happily answer all of your questions. We had our rehearsal the day before our wedding, also at Forrest Hills, and so we were able to bring in some of our decor ahead of time and he kindly helped us set it up. His eye for detail is impeccable! He made tweaks and suggestions that made the reception room look so elegant. I'm so grateful he was there to guide us towards the best decisions. On the big day he checked up on me in the bridal suite a few times which I truly appreciated because, of course, I wanted to know how set up was going. After our ceremony, we were ahead of schedule and my husband and I headed back to the bridal suite so I could touch up. This is one of my favorite moments of the night - Levi and my wedding coordinator zoomed up in a golf cart with drinks from the bar and appetizers having a great time. I LOVED to see that even they were having fun and we chatted and laughed with them too. Knowing Levi for the last two years he's become more than just a vendor - he's part of our family and part of our story. Two of my favorite moments of the day are with him and to me that says so much more about Forrest Hills. Before we did our grand exit I gave him the biggest hug because we are so grateful to have met him. Levi, thank you for being you!
If you're reading this and considering doing a wedding at Forrest Hills, DO IT! You are making the best decision, I promise! -

The MOST Magical Experience
I cannot say enough about my experience with Forrest Hills. The venue,value,staff and amenities were all SO amazing. I was nervous to have an all inclusive vendor because I wanted our wedding to be specific to us. However, Forrest Hills did not disappoint! Our wedding was fun and unique, just how we pictured it. It was better than I ever imagined. My family and friends cannot stop talking about Forrest Hills and some are planning return trips. If you are on the fence just do it! Levi is amazing and could not recommend enough! -

Even if I tried, there are not words adequate to describe my entire wedding experience with Levi and Forrest Hills. Location:
Forrest Hills is located in North Georgia, in the Chattahoochee National Forest. It is a gorgeous drive to get there, no matter what route you take. You don’t get good cell phone service here, but hopefully, you’ll be too busy relaxing and/or having fun to need it!
Accommodations:
Our guests stayed in Mountain Laurel Lodge, Eagle’s Nest, as well as a cabin on site. Mountain Laurel is newly renovated and a comfortable stay. Plus it was great to have all our guests in one place and not have to worry about how our guests would get back to their stay once our reception was over. The hot tubs and fire pit are great amenities, too! It was complicated organizing it with so many guests from different stages in our lives, but everyone ended up where they need to be in the end.
Food and Beverages:
Our rehearsal dinner was on-site at Forrest Hills. Between that, our wedding reception, and the breakfasts each day, we didn’t have a single bad bite of food! Christy was amazing and covered anything we needed. We didn’t taste the food before the reception, but we were assured that you can’t go wrong with any food choice at Forrest Hills--and we completely agree based on our experience! They had our back every step of the way!
Wedding coordination:
We worked with Levi from the moment we inquired about the venue and he was amazing! We completely appreciated his style and choices, which let us stress less about the details. It was great to have everything on site. We were married at the Fox Hollow gazebo, which was gorgeous, and the Rose Garden reception room was exactly the vibe we were going for. Everything was on time and went off without a hitch! Levi helped with everything, from fluffing my train as I walked towards the aisle, helping my bridesmaid bustle my dress, and even serving food at the reception. We could not be happier with our choice of being married at Forrest Hills!
All of our guests asked us how we found this place because it was so perfect for us and our guests! -

Great Experience
We had a wonderful experience planning and hosting our wedding at Forrest Hills. Our family and friends loved I our weekend there and are already asking us to plan a vow renewal lol.
Everyone there is incredibly kind & accommodating. The food is amazing, the group lodges are great, the private cabins are lovely, the horse and carriages are all beautiful and hard to choose from, the bridal salon is great, the women at the front desk are wonderful, Levi is the man, & the vendors he recommends are great too -we honestly don’t have a single bad thing to say about our experience there.

From the very first time I reached out to Forrest Hills Resort, Levi was very quick to respond and was always so kind and patient while answering my endless amount of questions. We decided to have a destination wedding at FHR so there were many questions and things to figure out while being so far away and he never hesitated to answer all my questions and keep my worries at ease! Thankfully for Levi I never had to stress much or worry about anything because he had everything planned out and knew what he was doing. He has done so many weddings and really knows what he’s doing, and it shows through his work. I will forever recommend Forrest Hills Resort! The package my husband and I purchased included everything and more for such an amazing price. It even included an amazing cake by a personal Cake Baker, Donna was awesome and the Cake was fantastic. It was exactly what we wanted! We couldn’t of been happier! Levi was an awesome coordinator and kept everything and everyone in line. Even when we had bad weather conditions come up last minute he figured everything out for us and walked us through it all. We never would of been able to make it such a memorable day without his help! Everything was all around amazing and we are forever grateful for Forrest Hills Resort and their amazing staff! 5 stars!! We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary 😁 -

Our Vow Renewal started as a last minute decision 3 weeks before our event. From our first phone call with Levi until our final goodbye the morning after nothing could have went smoother. We told him many times “we don’t know what we’re doing” so he continued to guide us along the way and helped us plan an entire wedding in 3 weeks. We never felt pressure or like we were under a time crunch (even though poor Levi was probably going crazy behind the scenes) he never once projected anything onto us other than pure joy and excitement. We truly left the resort feeling as if we had made a connection and will be spending our anniversaries there in the future. I would highly recommend Forrest Hills resort if you are considering an all inclusive stress free venue for your wedding. ❤️ -

My husband and I got married here in October. Everything about the venue was perfect - the scenery, the food, the decor, the staff - I have absolutely nothing bad to say! I recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for planning to be simple and for the event to be stunning. The venue provides chairs for the ceremony and seating and decor for the reception. The catering is done through the venue as well, which was great. Easy to book and great food. The packages they offer are GREAT deals for the services they provide. There are indoor and outdoor options for larger ceremonies, and other options for smaller ceremonies. Levi is very responsive, friendly and accommodating. I will certainly recommend FHR to other couples! -

Fantastic experience all around. Great venue, great people. Lots to offer. Rented the Tree Topper lodge and had a great two nights with family and close friends. My name is Casey Craig as of 8.8.2020. This past weekend I got married at Forrest hills and let me tell you the experience was nothing but perfect. From the moment I met Levi to tour the venue to nailing down the small details , Levi was there EVERY step of the way. He was just what my wedding needed! Levi is low key (barefoot a lot of the time) but still holds a level of professionalism. He kept me calm through it all , which was not always an easy task. He was an asset to my wedding. The venue was amazing in itself. We decided to do the “chuck wagon” rehearsal dinner. Let me tell you that this dinner is ANYTHING but typical and that’s what we wanted. We were all loaded up into wagons and hay rides and carried deep into the woods which made my guests a little nervous (lol all part of my master plan). When we arrived at what seemed to be an abandon cabin in the woods with torches ,creeks , bugs, a fire pit, and string lighting throughout ... I heard a group of 50 day “ WOAHHH” all at the same time. People were barefoot stomping through the creek and the kids were chasing the lightening bugs, adults were playing horseshoes and people were dancing. Honestly writing about it makes me tear up because it was everything I imagined when I said I don’t want a “stuffy fancy rehearsal dinner” I wanted a place for people to be themselves, to be whimsical and free... a place they could be kids again. This is exactly what I got with Forrest hills. My wedding in itself was perfection. The reception hall is huge and the outside ceremony site was gorgeous. Although we didn’t have a serious typical wedding, we had a FUN wedding. We had a wedding where people could be 100% transparent and just be THEM. I couldn’t have pulled this off without Levi or Forrest hills as a whole. I will literally recommend them to all my friends until one of us dies. Levi thank you for everything, I couldn’t have asked for literally anything better. -

Everything you could hope for!
Forrest Hills Secret Garden Wedding was absolutely perfect! Got a mini family vacation included with a wedding. Levi made sure there was absolutely no stress. Was supposed to rain the 1st night. When we arrived the covered wagon ride and BBQ at river was already set up inside for us and we were able to ride with the horses before the rain hit. They already had everything planned out. Slight change in reception location due to Covid 19. Everything was already taken care of. We had to do nothing. Decor was gorgeous. Cake by Donna was delicious. Everything included with one price, including the bride and groom staying an extra week for honeymoon. Cabin was fantastic and Levi checked on us throughout the week. I can not express our gratitude and appreciation to Forrest Hills Resort, especially Levi. -

Our experience at Forrest Hills Resort was the BEST ever. Levi, the wedding coordinator was amazing. He answered every email, every phone call (and believe me there was alot) very quickly. He helped us with every single detail and most importantly he was so happy to do so! He shared in our excitement and that is what made our whole experience so amazing. The value at Forrest Hills Resort is unmatched and it is the most beautiful venue. Rustic Farmhouse Charm nestled in the woods. I cannot say enough of how pleased we were. Forrest Hills Mountain Resort not only met, but exceeded our expectations in every way, from the first contact via email and then phone! An exceptional resort that was built and has been owned and operated by the same family for 40 years and the brother and sister co-owners are present, involved and just as friendly as the staff. Jackie and all of the front desk staff were friendly, considerate, responsive, accommodating and respectful. The website is very detailed and comprehensive with lots of accurate photos. The way the resort and accommodations are described on the website are spot on and exactly how they are in person. We received a warm welcome and excellent service everywhere at the resort. There is plenty do to and see on the property and the staff is always happy to recommend and direct guests to all of the activities and attractions in the surrounding area. The accommodations have an exterior rustic look that blends in perfectly with the wooded grounds, yet the interior and amenities are contemporary and not just comfortable, but also luxurious. Hot tubs, fireplaces, private porches, comfortable beds, spacious and immaculate rooms that are tastefully decorated and every detail attended to. The food is consistently wonderful with a full hot breakfast provided each morning and excellent lunches and dinners that out a delightful gourmet spin on tried and true country cuisine favorites. We had our elopement and honeymoon there, and every detail was expertly attended to by the staff who made us feel welcomed and very special. Jackie, who also served as our officiant, went above and beyond to make alternative arrangements in the case of inclement weather which took away any anxiety we had about being rained on. We had a beautiful ceremony, carriage ride and candlelight dinner...it was amazing! We are planning a return visit in the Fall and for our anniversary in March and hopefully for many years to come. Forrest Hills was a wonderful and serendipitous find for us and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful getaway that is tucked away yet still close to quaint and historical downtown Dahlonega and many activities and area sights that aren't to be missed!! Exceptional!! -

We had the best experience
Getting married at Forrest Hills was the absolute best thing we could've done! Levi, our event coordinator was amazing. Very attentive, confident in what he does, dots all the i's and crosses all the t's for every detail you didn't initially think about, has a network of wedding vendors that you can trust, I could go on and on. The venue itself was perfect for us. It was a big hit to all our guests that the wedding chapel, reception room and places to sleep were all on the same property and very close to one another. Breakfast every day was delicious! As was the food we selected for the reception. All around, we had a near perfect experience. -

Forrest Hills was the perfect background for a fairytale wedding in every season and guests love staying at the resort too! From their cabins to their lodges there is a place for everyone to stay comfortably and happily. Breakfast was always delicious and the front office and their staff are some of the nicest people around. I have nothing but great things to say about this resort and Levi, the wedding coordinator, makes planning weddings so much better! Detail oriented
Our daughter’s wedding was perfect. The rehearsal dinner had a few snags but Levi went out of his way to make it all right once he was made aware of the snags. The venue is so quiet and beautiful. It may be a little rustic for some but we loved that. We had thank you gifts that they put out at each seat and we brought some gold accessories that they placed around the reception hall for us. We would definitely use this venue again. We have 2 other daughters. :) -

Our wedding and our entire experience could not have been better, from beginning to end. Levi was responsive, knowledge, and accommodating throughout the entire planning period. We just loved spending the weekend with our closest family and friends and making memories together. The food was just exceptional!! From the buffet to the cake, so many of our guests raved to us about the food. The service was also top notch. We feel lucky to have found this perfect spot for our perfect day! -

To start of with, the venue itself is just gorgeous! You have multiple sites to choose from. I went with the outside Secret Garden. Perfect for smaller weddings like mine. The staff was so super friendly! We never felt rushed or like we were a burden. They helped keep things running smoothly. And the wedding coordinator was Amazing! Very easy to communicate with, and very quick response time. He helped walk us through every little step. He was there for set up, the ceremony and clean up. And made sure multiple times that we had everything we needed. I get stressed very easily, but everything went so perfectly that I was able to enjoy every moment. The food was delicious! My guests were so impressed. Said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. And the cake(which is included with the food and venue) was gorgeous! Best price I could find for a pretty much all inclusive package, and planning was made so easy. I just can't say enough great things about Levi(the wedding coordinator) and Forrest Hills resort! -

Forrest Hills really has it all. Levi is amazing and always responds quickly and is a great problem solver. Any issue we came up with was answered and taken care of quickly.
He was flexible and easy to deal with. He always made me feel comfortable and confident. The day of the wedding was no exception. Everything was beautiful and ran smoothly. I do suggest explaining your vision to not only Levi but to as many, as will listen in your group. LOL. The master of ceremony and then a person who can support you and direct people at the ceremony practice (I chose my bridesmaid who has a lot of bridesmaid experience) are both very important to ensure things go as planned. TBH, by the time the day came, I had zero nerves about the wedding. What a blessing.
The venue is rustic and mountainy. We enjoyed having a lodge where our whole family and wedding party could all be together for a weekend event. No matter what the need was it was always handled timely. We actually had NO issues bc things were all in place as promised. Everyone was pleased and we heard no complaints about the lodge or venue. We were able to get a massage on the day of our rehearsal to calm our stresses. We also had a bridal suite to dress and the groomsmen had a suite in the chapel too.
The Secret Garden allowed us to have an intimate and beautiful ceremony and reception. I was skeptical about the layout of the restaurant, but when the time came it worked great! We were able to eat and interact with our guests with ease. It was also easy to see the smiles on our guest's faces from our sweetheart table setup. The food was excellent. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Honestly. We had visited several times to preview food quality and went to the Bridal show, which I highly recommend, so we knew the food would be great. Then there is Ms. Donna who does the cakes for the venue, one word AMAZING. The cake was not only beautiful but delicious! People are still talking about that cake two weeks later! She was beyond easy to work with and she followed every direction to the tee. She also made cookies for us to give as favors. They were actually kinda complicated and they were to the letter of perfect too.
Lastly, the cost factor compared to other venues is VALUE. The billing was never about gouging us, as a matter of fact, they worked things around us. The final bill was exactly what it was supposed to be and there were NO SURPRISES. Levi handled all of those details too. Levi followed up during the weekend off and on to ensure that we were all taken care of. They had three weddings that weekend and we only saw one of them in passing, so there was plenty of venue for all. It felt like we were all alone as a group most of the time.
Levi even sent us a sweet message while we were on our honeymoon too.
We were pleased, and now we are on to live happily ever after.

We had our wedding here on May 25th, 2019. This venue is beautiful! Levi, the Director of Events, was very helpful and prompt in answering all questions that we had (either in person, over phone, or over email). We loved that this venue was all inclusive, as I did not want to spend loads of time planning the wedding and finding a lot of vendors. If you are looking for an all inclusive, beautiful, laid back wedding venue - this is it!

Amazing place with the most wonderful people!!
This place was everything we were looking for and so much more! Levi was a dream to work with and extreamly knowledgeable about everything. My Husband and I had a hundred questions, changed our preferences a couple of times and ended up with a wedding/reception even more beautiful and magical then we ever dreamed of. We live 6 hours away from Dahlonega, GA so everything was done by phone and email and Levi stayed on top of everything from day one. Some people thought I was crazy to choose a place so far away where I couldn't be more hands on. Levi was so open and accommodating through the whole process that I felt very comfortable and extreamly happy to be working with him. We went with the Secret Garden package which was perfect for our needs, budget and family size. The reception hall was decorated better than I ever could have imagined and the food was so delicious. We also took advantage for Forrest Hills week long promotion and Honeymooned in their Cupids Hideout cabin for a week. Everyone at Forrest Hills was amazing and friendly!! The staff was very knowledgeable about the area and had lots of ideas on things for us to do. Every morning we got an amazing breakfast that overlooked the spot where we got married which just made our stay even better!! I highly recommend Forrest Hills Resort as a wedding venue, Honeymoon destination or just for a quite place to get away from it all and relax. We will definalty be coming back to visit in the future! -

What an amazing experience at this perfect romantic yet family oriented spot. We did not endure any stress on our big day thanks to all the hard work Levi and all the wonderful staff at Forrest Hill Resort provided. Can’t say enough about our coordinator Levi. Hey kept everything on track during the planning and kept track of every detail. During the days leading up to and during he was attentive and fun and friendly. He was right there when we needed anything. Everything was so stress free and fun and we were able to enjoy the day. The floral woman they work with was great too.
OA you cannot beat what you get for the money for food, cake, flowers, pictures, officiant, wedding site and reception at this location. It is a hidden gem that I doubt stays hidden long. I don’t remember the exact cost but it was under 5k for everything including our honeymoon cabin - which was AMAZING - all the above and breakfast for all 25 guests. They best was that it felt like family there. Thank you to Levi and the entire staff from him to the front office to the wait staff. Only wish we had planned to stay longer. P.s. that’s Levi helping my bride with her train after the ceremony. Always on point! -

Absolutely great experience.
Definitely recommend Forrest Hills. My granddaughter's wedding this past weekend was supposed to be an outdoor wedding but it rained all day and they did everything possible until the last minute to accommodate her wishes for outside. We ended up moving it indoors to the reception room which was beautiful. Levi, the wedding coordinator, was awesome and did a beautiful job decorating and working with us throughout the entire process. The whole staff was very courteous and helpful. It was definitely a great experience and recommended to anyone planning a wedding. -

"Best wedding ever!" - every single guest
The staff at Forrest Hills is superior. Every single person from Reggie, the chef, to Levi, the wedding manager, was incredible. Accommodating doesn't even begin to cover it and I cannot recommend this venue enough. My guests have been raving about the venue since they got there and most claim it to be the best wedding they have ever attended. The lodges are great and being able to spend time together in the common rooms is awesome.
Levi is quite honestly the best wedding coordinator I have ever worked with. He is probably the single most reason the wedding went off without a hitch. Many thanks to him and the staff at FHR. -

Wow!! Levi and Ginger came into Forrest Hills about 7/8 of the way through my wedding planning but they made a world of difference. Levi and ginger have made so many modern updates, renovations, decorations, etc. Its just amazing. My mind was blown at how beautiful my pictures were. I loved the uniqueness of getting ready in a cabin and being in the woods all weekend made it such a peaceful, surreal experience. I wouldn't trade my wedding day or the coordinators for anything! -

My boyfriend and I have an unfortunate long distance relationships so our vacations together are very important. lts very hard when everything doesnt go perfectly. Our vacation at Forrest Hills was far beyond what we could have even dreamed of! Super private, wonderful view off the back porch in the mountains, had everything you need for an extended stay, the staff was almost too nice haha, very informative and helpful. It was very obvious they took pride in their resort! We even decided to take a horeback ride they day we were supposed to check out so they moved our time up so that we could enjoy the ride worry free! And oh my gosh was it a MUST! Im an experienced rider but my boyfriend is NOT. It was still beyond fun riding my gorgeous gal Starbright while he had her sister Starlight and they did fantastic! His horse easily followed mine and mine followed the guides but allowed me to guide and trot her how I would with my own horses. We will most definitely be holding our wedding here!

Carol Sent on 09/12/2016My Daughter and Son in law where married here on 9-10-16. We arrived on Friday 9-9-16 we where greeted at the front desk by the friendliest people. I checked in for the Deer Trail Lodge , Plus two other cabins we rented it was a fast check in. we had the rehearsal that evening at 5 and then the rehearsal dinner was catered back at our lodge. The food as great every thing we needed for a great evening the bridesmaids and groomsmen enjoyed hanging out playing corn hole on the porch. While the grandparents enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck a great evening was had by all.
The day of the wedding the girls headed to the salon where Jolie's day spa was there to take care of hair and make up. They sent over two amazing ladies and they did a great job!
The maintenance crew took care of seating up the Gazebo area checked with me to make sure we where happy with set up and did not need any thing else, when we ask for a table for the guest book it was there in a matter of minutes.
The Food was Amazing Traci made sure we where taken care of all weekend from the reception to the breakfast that came with our lodge, She made sure we got appetizers when we came in from photos since we missed that part of the reception, she definitely is worth her wait in gold. Even coming to our Lodge to pick up the grooms cake.
We also used there Dj Dominick from Pirone entertainment he was great played all our requested songs keep the party on the time line every one had such a great time.
We also had our wedding cake from there vender Cakes by Donna- Amazing every one is talking about the cake it was amazing!
Michelle the owner and Donna the Wedding Coordinator made sure we where taken care of they checked in own us to make sure we had every thing we needed and made sure my daughters weeding was perfect, even down to the horse drawn carriage entrance was timed perfectly.
Forrest hills is a great place to work with and I would use them for my next daughters wedding.

Kenyatta Sent on 05/21/2016If you are looking for a rustic, natural feel this is your place. First let us start with Kathy Major the wedding coordinator for the venue. She is THE BEST. I made changes after changes and it didn't seem to phase her one bit. Even up to two weeks before the ceremony when we realized we didn't have a place to stay after the ceremony. She took it all in stride and was able to book us a romantic cabin for our wedding night.
Our guests were perplexed when they made the drive to the mountains to our location but once everyone got settled in they were hooked. We actually wished we had come to the location sooner so that we could have enjoyed it even more. The accommodations were great. The lodges that we rented had the rustic feeling with a touch of luxury. You can tell they have been making renovations to the property while still keeping the integrity of the resort. From check in to check out our needs were met. I have never been to a place with someone comes to check in daily to make sure that all is well. Even when we had a maintenance issue they took care of it so fast it was as if it never happened.
The food was wonderful. We told our guests who stayed that breakfast was included but they assumed it would be continental. They were so surprised and satisfied with the breakfast offerings daily, far from continental. The Chef came out to make sure we had everything that we needed and then some (I had a very picky guest-my mother- who needed her own special touches to her meal).
The meal that we had for the reception was delicious, we had guests asking if they could go back to the buffet for more. The wait staff were attentive but unobtrusive.
You will definitely get the value for the money spent. The big wow factor for our guests at the ceremony was the entrance by horse and carriage. It was so unexpected that the look on their faces said it all.
If I had to plan it all again I would use Forrest Hills for my venue.
