Both Lisa and Terry were wonderful in helping me pick out my wedding dress. They had so many beautiful and surprisingly affordable options! The dress I found is the perfect combination of glam and romantic. Plus, all their wedding dresses are off the rack, meaning it gets to come home with you right them -- would definitely be convenient for a shorter engagement! They talked me through several alteration options and considerations which was super helpful. I wasn't even expecting to choose a dress that day but dress and experience was so wonderful, I just had to! -

I cannot stand shopping. Seriously. Hate it. And so Lisa and the staff at Formal Spot had their work cut out for them before I walked in the door. I sent them an idea of what I wanted...and Lisa messaged me that she could have samples there in record time. We scheduled a date...and I picked out a dress from the three I tried.
Right away, tho, there were little details I'd want changed...no problem! A bow was switched for an applique. The skirt could be changed, waistline altered. There is a seamstress that scheduled in-store appointments, which made it so simple. Everyone was patient and listened to everything I said...and "translated" it into what could be done to make it "right" for me.
The end result was exactly what I wanted!

I have so many great things to say about this one of a kind shop in Winter Garden. First, I was not looking forward to bridal gown shopping. Formal Spot was my first stop and they were able to fit me in that day due to a cancellation. When I walked in, I had no intention on purchasing a dress. Lisa was welcoming and gave us the freedom to shop around until I was ready to try something on. Every dress was gorgeous! I received honest opinions from both Lisa and Terri and they made the process so easy! When I was done, there was no pressure to buy anything but I couldn’t let my dress get away! I walked away with the most gorgeous dress I could have ever imagined and for a fantastic price. The experience was wonderful and I would love to take my bridal party back to work with these amazing ladies!! -

Me and my mother came to the formal spot to find my wedding dress and I left with saying yes to the dress! The staff at the formal spot are amazing and know how to make a bride feel beautiful in whatever dress the bride picks! They had a beautiful selection to chose from and I would recommend them over and over again! Thank you again Lisa for helping me find the perfect dress for my special day! -

They also have a great selection of hairpieces and cute shoes. They have dresses for so many occasions. I have already been eyeing a few for my company holiday party. :) -

Lorin Sent on 05/17/2014Lisa and her team are incredible. I found the perfect dress, and was then life happened. Lisa was kind, understanding, and flexible, making my situation so much less stressful.
The shopping experience itself was a BLAST! I was honestly dreading trying on dresses. The girls made me feel important, beautiful, and a little spoiled. They even stayed open late so I could try on a few that they picked out for me that I might not have tried myself. And that was the dress I chose! They were patient, and honest with opinions. I have no doubt that when I'm ready to try dresses on again, I won't walk in Formal Spot as a stranger, but as an old friend.
Pros: Friendly, classy NOT stuffy, perfect selection (choces of every style but no in overwhelming abundance), prices are better than anywhere else in town, and the quality is top notch!
Cons: NONE! They are as down to earth and classy as they come! -

I walked into Formal Spot just 3 weeks before my wedding... I was looking for a simple beachy dress, and I needed it fast. We found a dress I loved that day...the only probloem was it was a size 14 and I am a 4! The alterations person worked wonders! When I got my dress back (only a week later!) it fit like a glove. I was very pleased with the whole experience! -

I had my alterations done here for my Allure gown, and it came out better than I ever could have imagined! For what I had done, the price was incredibly reasonable. I added cap sleeves, a built in push-up bra, and got the dress hemmed, all of which were easy to add, and they were very accommodating to my requests. I knew that my dress was my dream gown, but after the alterations it was even more incredible!!!!! Thank you Lisa and the entire Formal Spot staff for being amazing, accommodating, and for exceeding all my expectations! You all helped to enhance the dress of my dreams and I can't wait to walk down the aisle in the dress I've always envisioned myself in.
