Beautiful Cake

We had a 4 tier cake and went with a different flavor for each one, all were very tasty! I gave them a picture of the design I wanted and it was executed beautifully!

Delicious and Beautiful Cakes

For Goodness Cakes made hands down the tastiest cake I've ever had. We designed the cake with staff and were able to make it exactly how we liked. We received so many compliments about not only how beautiful it was but how delicious it was!

Howard & Santrella Irving Wedding Cake Design

For Goodness Cakes designed our wedding cupcake tower for our big day. The cupcakes were a big hit with our guest because none were left out of 125 cupcakes. The flavors were to die for and the cupcakes were moist & delicious. Though one small detail was missing, we thoroughly enjoyed our cupcakes. WHAT AMAZING SERVICE!!!! It snowed on our wedding day and they still delivered even though both the photographer and florist were saying they couldn't make it. Not only that but my husband does not like cake, so we had mini pies for his "grooms cake" and saved the top of our wedding cake for the honeymoon. He literally ate the whole cake he liked it so much! He even said he'd eat cake every day if it was from them. I plan on buying from them for any of our special events and birthdays!

Use this vendor!! Megan was awesome! I contracted for a traditional wedding cake and a special design groom's cake! They were exactly what we talked about and absolutely delicious! We chose champagne flavor for the wedding cake and orange vanilla for the groom's cake. Rave reviews from our guests! I recommend letting the staff guide you in your choices. This is their speciality and the staff clearly love what they do! Simply the best!!!

A truly wonderful experience from start to finish. Megan was such a pleasure to work with and helped bring my vision to life. She was extremely professional throughout the whole process and would respond right away to any questions I would have. She offered great advice in helping me design my cake and made sure we came up with something I loved.

All of our guests raved over the unique groom’s cake and our five-tier wedding cake. Not only did the cakes look amazing, but they were absolutely delicious as well. The orange velvet, champagne, and chocolate cake flavors are out of this world. Although I only managed a bite of cake that night, everyone I spoke to that tried them had extremely high praise for both the appearance and taste. I look forward to really enjoying it on our anniversary cake (that they are providing at no additional charge).

I just wrote the most effusive review for For Goodness Cakes...only for Wedding wire to time out and give me an error! Not sure I can repeat everything again, but i'll try. Basically... For Goodness Cakes rocks. We heard about them through our wedding planner (Jade Lee Events) and after visiting another well known baker in the atlanta area and being turned off by his attitude, Megan and For Goodness Cakes was just what we needed. The tasting experience was so pleasant (my husband's favorite part of the wedding planning process that day), and they worked with our budget. We came in with a geometric design they had never done before but Megan was convinced that the owner/baker was up for the challenge...and she certainly delivered. It was perfection on our wedding day - at least visually. Don't quite remember the taste that since it was such an overwhelming day, but I'm certain it was as scrumptious as it was on tasting day, and our guests loved it!

Megan and For Goodness Cakes was the most responsive and most flexible bakery that we contacted. They were able to meet with me via Skype and give me the full experience of meeting with them even though I was several states away. The cakes were moist and delicious. In particular the grooms cake was absolutely unbelievable. It was a replica of the Georgia Tech tower (with missing T) that they were able to do at a great price. The wedding cake was also very nice.

The one thing that my, now husband, wanted for our wedding was a Detroit Red Wings themed groom's cake. We took our ideas to the talented team at For Goodness Cakes and they ran with them creating the most incredible cake! They spent over 50 hours creating a replica of Joe Louis Arena complete with Al the octopus exploding out of the top. The level of detail was unbelievable from the "Hockeytown" logo, the railings on the steps, the expression on the octopus' face, even down to the individual suction cups on his tentacles. He was even holding a sugar replica of the Stanley Cup! These guys are more than bakers, they are cake artists!

P.S. My cake was beautiful too! They matched a swatch of gold material that I had and she spent close to an hour with their styrofoam cake layers helping us to make the perfect design. It was elegant and gorgeous with sugar magnolia flowers that looked so real! Also, possibly more importantly, it was DELICIOUS! Possibly some of the best cake i've ever eaten.

I have two words, Orange Creme! It didn't take me long to decide on flavors during my consultation. The cake is so delicious it's ridiculous! Megan was really helpful with the design although I was certainly an easy bride and knew what I wanted all along. The prices weren't bad for what we chose. Everything turned out beautifully. I'm still getting calls about how good it was.

We had champagne cake, and it was amazing! Everyone at the wedding loved it, and they were surprised by the flavor. It was beautifully done, and they did a great job taking my inspirations and turning them into a design perfect for us. They were also flexible about setting up appointments and allowing us to bring some cake to my out-of-state of fiance for tasting.

LOVE, love, Love For Goodness Cakes! I knew from the time I found them on Wedding Wire that I was in for a truly amazing experience. Then I went to the cake tasting and my standards were blown out the water. The staff is amazing and very professional. The design team worked with me and my custom design that I sketched and my cake came out perfect! And it didn't hurt that it tasted amazing as well. Would totally recommend them to anyone getting married in the metro Atlanta area!

We loved working with For Goodness Cakes, especially seeing as we didn't really know what to get for our wedding cake - they definitely provided us with lots of amazing solutions and the cake itself was absolutely amazing. My husband and I are both music lovers and our very simple cake was piped with music notes on every tier. We finally decided on 4 tiers with 2 tiers being orange flavored cake with white chocolate cream cheese filling and 2 tiers being champagne flavored cake (absolutely amazing!) with a raspberry filling. Our guest absolutely loved it and even though our bridal party sat on the top tier in the limo, Megan offered to make us a new tier for our one year anniversary! Best wedding cake vendor we could have asked for!!!

FGC was recommended to us by our caterer. They were easy to communicate with, warm, and welcoming. My husband and I did a tasting and couldn't have loved it more. We asked for a simple design because we wanted our florist to decorate it with fresh flowers. They did a wispy finish with buttercream icing and it was the perfect compliment to the beautiful flowers and to our comfortable, elegant, southern wedding. We chose classic vanilla for three of our layers and lemon for one of the larger layers. I only wish that we'd done more of it in lemon. Both were amazingly delicious, but the lemon was gone in a flash. People couldn't stop talking about both of our cakes. My husband wanted a University of Tennessee themed groom's cake and they did it well! We had orange and white checkerboard, and orange "power T", and some lyrics from "Rocky Top". They even got that obnoxious shade of orange just right ;) High praise coming from his Alabama fan bride!

For Goodness Cakes made the cake for my daughter's wedding and it was perfect! My daughter lives out of town but was able via email and phone to communicate back and forth with Megan to design the cake. And it came out exactly as my daughter wanted. It included a design detail matching the jewel pattern of the bridal gown belt. Beautiful! And let me emphasize - the taste was wonderful. People have told us this was one of the best cakes they have eaten. We think so too. Great cake! As an added note - the cake for the rehearsal dinner was also from For Goodness Cakes and showed just as much attention to detail as the wedding cake. It tasted just as good too. Strongly Recommend.

Best cake ever. We chose a simply vanilla and red velvet cake with buttercream and cream cheese icing. It was divine. The service was also amazing. They were so helpful at the tasting and with the creative process. I would highly recommend. Only thing I was sad about is that there wasn't enough left over to take home with me because the guests loved it so much :) Can't wait until our first anniversary to eat the top layer!

I chose a three tiered red velvet cake with buttercream frosting and silver fondant ribbon. The topper was a pair of doves with necks inter-twinned. The cake was perfect, beautiful, and exactly what I expected. It tasted great too! I found this specific cake on the vendor's website and thought it was beautiful, and it was even better in person. I felt very proud of the cake presentation and couldn't have been more pleased with my choice of cake vendor!

Not only was my cake GORGEOUS, it was also SO delicious!! Red velvet cake is my absolute favorite cake in the world and For Goodnes Cakes red velvet is the BEST!!! I'm not a huge fan of just plain vanilla cake, but WOW....the vanilla was even incredible!! I can't wait to get our anniversary cake from them!!!

Our cake for our wedding was awesome! It was decorated perfectly, exactly how we talked about. And I'm not one that likes cake very much but this had to be the best cake I've ever had! Every one of my guests complemented me on how pretty and how good the cake was. And more importantly they delivered it on time, it got to the venue before I did. I would recommend them for anything you could possibly need a cake for.

My perfect cake from a wonderful vendor. Mel was so great to work with . We gave her a design and she made it better than what we possibly could ever imagine. It was a perfect color of peach and one of my favorite parts of my wedding. She was more than wonderful to work with for both my wedding cake and grooms cake for the rehearsal. Melonie Stanger was a joy to work with in helping my wedding planner and I with selecting our wedding cake. I loved that at our cake tasting Melonie took her time to explain to us the different options that we had and we were able to sample them-all were delicious! After brainstorming for a little while we decided on a cake!

The wedding cake was based off of another cake my wedding planner/designer and my cake artist created for a magazine photo shoot honoring Audrey Hepburn's classic black and white hat. I loved it so much I wanted to have a version of it for my day and they came up with the most amazing cake - and it tasted amazing too! The flavor was vanilla with a champagne filling.

When we arrived at our wedding reception the cake was the focal point in the room. It looked amazing and all of our guest agreed that it tasted great!

We will definately recommend Melonie and her team at For Goodness Cakes to everyone and will use them in the future.

I found out about For Goodness Cakes bakery on The Knot.com. I was so impressed by their website – it was the best bakery website I had seen because they had all of their information about flavors and fillings right there. Plus I had been looking everywhere for someone who would do a chocolate ganache filling. Not only was the huge photo gallery of cakes impressive and beautiful, but it also really helped me decide on the details of my cake!

From the first time I contacted For Goodness Cakes, I received excellent customer service. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful. Since I was planning an out of town wedding, they worked with me to schedule a tasting consultation during a visit. Melonie went above and beyond to deliver an exceptional customer experience – and my wedding cake truly was the best tasting cake of my life! I chose the vanilla bean yellow cake with milk chocolate ganache filling and buttercream icing in a simple and elegant design. They got every detail perfect!

I whole-heartedly recommend For Goodness Cakes to everyone for wedding cakes or any special event cake. The cake was delicious, the details were beautiful, and the customer service was incredible.

I decided to hire for Goodness Cake for my wedding cake, because I tasted their cakes at a friend's wedding. They make the most beautiful cakes without sacrificing the taste. Our cake was amazing! We got the signature flavor, Champagne in 2 layers and Chocolate in the other 2 layers. We also really liked them because I love the look of fondant, but don't like the taste. For Goodness Cakes can get butter cream icing so smooth that it looks like fondant. The cake was moist and delicious and we got tons of compliments. In fact, the day after our wedding we had a house full of guests come over because we said we had some cake left.

For Goodness Cakes was absolutely wonderful to work with from start to finish! I was planning my wedding from another state, but they worked with me to schedule a consultation when I was in town and were always reachable via email for any questions I had. Using inspiration photos, they designed a beautiful cake that was perfectly customized to my personal taste and style. They were totally flexible with any changes I requested as we worked out the perfect design. The cake was flawless AND delicious.
They also did a beautiful job on my groom's cake. I was blown away by how perfectly they recreated the image I provided using buttercream and artistic genius. This cake was a special surprise for my groom, and he was as thrilled with it as I was! Many people commented that it was the best cake they'd ever tasted. I couldn't have been happier with the cakes on our big day!

I absolutely loved my wedding cake! Going into the initial meeting, I had no idea what flavor or design I wanted. Melonie helped me tremendously and we were able to pick flavors and designs easily with her ideas. It turned out even better than I could have imagined. They were super easy to work with and always available to answer my questions. I'm still receiving compliments about how delicious the cake was and I can't wait for our one year anniversary to bring out the top layer to enjoy once again!

I LOVED my trio cake display!!! I was soo shocked when I saw that my cakes looked exactly how I had envisioned and tasted even better! Melanie even checked in on my wedding after she delivered another cake to the event next to me, and fixed a bubble on one of the cakes! I didn't even know there was a bubble, but she came and repaired it and I thought she was so kind for doing that. I loved my cakes, and I loved her style, precision, and patience in taking in all my requests. My cakes were literally the icing on my wedding and I'll always have those gorgeous pictures to look back on!! Thank you!!

Melonie is a dream to to work with as a vendor. My guests are still asking where our wedding and grooms cake were ordered. Not only does she create beautifully designed cakes but they taste delicious! We had 3 different flavors of cake so many of our guests enjoyed 3 pieces of cake (as long as they lasted)! I have never really enjoyed the taste of cakes at weddings until I tasted ours. Now I can't wait until our anniversary to have another slice! I will definitely contract with For Goodness Cakes again in the future for special occasion cakes.

We loved our cake for the wedding. It looked beautiful and it tasted good. We were so full after the dinner at the wedding that I didn't get to eat much cake on the wedding day but we have been eating cake all week and it is wonderful.

For Goodness Cakes saved the day for us. Weeks before the wedding our "cake maker stopped making cakes!!" Krista, our wedding coordinator at the Payne Corley House, contacted For Goodness Cakes to see if they would save the day. And, save the day they did.
With little more than a picture that had been taken of our original cake, she managed to create one that was identical to the one that had been ordered. The layers of different flavors were wonderful, and the directions for freezing the top level for their "1st" anniversary were wonderful!!
We couldn't have asked for more, and truly thanks and praise for a job well done are in order. I would recommend For Goodness Cakes to anyone who wants the job done correctly, with beauty, and great taste!

By far, this was my favorite vendor that I had worked with while planning the wedding! I had cake trouble with my previous vendor and had only contacted For Goodness Cakes a month before the wedding. Not only were they accommodating and professional but, they made our cake look beautiful and taste soooo good! My favorite flavor was almond joy, so unique! LOVE THEM!

I was referred to For Goodness Cakes by shutterbooth.com to get a specialty birthday cake made for an event in Atlanta, and that turned out to be extremely fortuitious for us. Melonie and her staff were fantastic, and extremely accommodating, flexible, and responsive. The design looked great and met our design specifications/requests, and the cake received rave reviews from a taste standpoint as well. What I appreciated perhaps the most was that the final product matched our initial expectations, reflected what we had agreed to, and it was delivered on time and without incident. That may sound trivial to many, but I really appreciate when business is conducted in an easy and transparent manner; as far as i'm concerned, you couldn't ask for more in a professional sense. So I truly thank Melonie and the staff at For Goodness Cakes for making our occasion memorable, and i will certainly recommend her to others as well as enlist her services again in the future when the need arises.

Forgoodness Cakes were very helpful with my selection for a wedding cake. They also helped us to stay within a budget. The cake turned out beautifully and the flavors were fascinating especially the red velvet which was a hit our wedding. The guests loved it. Melonie was very accomodating with any questions I would have. Thank You Forgoodness Cakes! Would definitely recommend for any bride looking for a wedding cake vendor!

This review could be simple - If you want the absolute BEST tasting wedding cake out there, you should hire Melonie. I chose the almond cake and the strawberry cake for mine. She delivered on flavor, texture and satisfaction. And, the best part is that once I got back from my honeymoon, people were still talking about how delicious it was. But, let's take it up a notch. Yes flavor is important... but the pictures at the wedding might be just as. And Melonie's creative, artful eye delivered heavy on this one. She combined delicate, sparkly sugar crystals with elegant lace overlay and gold ribboned fondant to create a grand and regal cake worthy of a cover shoot. People literally gasped when they saw it. Melonie was easy to work with, open to my suggestions and extremely careful to stay close to my vision, offering her own ideas where appropriate. I will try and swindle all the cakes I ever order out of her, wedding or not!

Our cake was beautiful and delicious. At our tasting, Melonie was incredibly helpful at helping us choose what would work best for us. She used swatches of our two colors to perfectly match the cake decorations (flowers and vines). Fabulous job!

Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! Melonie did a fantastic job creating the perfect wedding cake for us. She took my desire for a simple design and made it quite elegant. She did an even more amazing job on my husband's groom's cake. She made a very realistic fire helmet! It was incredible! We couldn't believe the detail that went into making it. The guests are still talking about her magnificent creation. I highly recommend For Goodness Cakes!

I was refered to for goodness cakes by a friend who have use Mel's services for several different cakes. The price was great for the cake, I was glad because I got a couple of prices before deciding but the cake was beautiful for the design, quality, taste etc. Mel was very professional, flexible. When we went for our tasting with her, it was hard to choose a flavor because they were so good. I did call and change the flavor and it was no problem.
On our wedding day, she made sure I was satisfy with everything before leaving. Her store is beautiful she really know how to design cakes. She was a breath of fresh air after the quote I recieved. She was on time and set everything up before leaving.
I would recommend and use her services again.

For Goodness Cakes had the most flavorful and moist cake I have ever had. After tasting many different cakes and being less impressed each time, finding For Goodness Cakes was meant to be. Melanie has a wide selection of flavors that are all over the top yummy choosing was the hardest part! Melanie was so warm and friendly, even after having to reschedule a few times; we finally had our tasting late after she normally sees people. She never hurried us to choose and even helped narrow down a design. After tasting her cake it was so hard to wait until the wedding to have more. Sadly Mark and I only got two bites each. We saved our top out of tradition, never believing we would enjoy eating it a year later. I'm thrilled to let you know that one year later the cake had just as much flavor and moistness on our wedding day. I believe that not only was it the directions given to us on how to preserve our cake, but also Melanie's talent and care she put into the cake which made our one year anniversary better.

For Goodness Cakes did an amazing job! I showed them a picture of a cake I wanted and they were able to duplicate it exactly like we wanted, the best part is it tasted amazing!
Also there prices were so much more reasonable than a few other places my husband and I looked at.

The cakes turned out beautiful! I am exceptionally happy with the Groom's cake (because I actually got to really taste his cake) - not only was it beautiful - but it was absolutely delicious. For Goodness Cakes did a wonderful job!!!

We purchased a three-tier wedding cake for our 110 guests, and it went pretty fast. My boss, who is apparently a big fan of wedding cake, says it was the best he's ever had. We ordered layers of vanilla bean and pecan with salty caramel filling throughout. It was truly exquisite. A bit pricey, but par for the area and well worth it.

Everyone loved our wedding cake!! Guest were raving that this was the BEST wedding cake they ever had. We ordered two flavors: the vanilla salted caramel and strawberry. The cake was delicious!! I would recommend them for your special day.

WOW is the first thing that comes to mind! Not only did our cake (s) look amazing but they were absolutely delicious. My husband, mother and I met with Megan at For Goodness Cakes to do a tasting and start designing our cake (YUM YUM YUM). I went to an expo and saw a For Goodness Cake a few weeks back and knew it was the one so my actual wedding cake decision was easy. What was not easy, was designing the Grooms Cake. I wanted it to be special and a surprise. Megan and her design team took a bunch of random things/ideas I had and made an amazing cake that we called "EJs favorite things" (the base was a motorcycle tire, with a superman symbol as the spokes, 3 golf balls next to it with the GSU logo on the balls and then the city, state that my husband grew up in as a map in front of the tire. Random, I know lol). We served our Groom Cake at the rehearsal dinner and it was an absolute hit. Everyone was extremely impressed!

I have already recommended For Goodness Cakes to other friends of mine and would continue to do so!

The staff here is great, however my decorator seemed a bit scatterbrained a few times. Had to ask me to re-send her some information more than once. However the delivery, design, taste, and presentation of our cake was out of this world!! Definitely worth every penny. Guests raved about the cake all night!

My favorite thing about my wedding might quite possibly be my wedding cake. For Goodness Cakes took my cake descriptions and pictures and made my exact vision come to life at my wedding. The staff went out of their way to fit me into the schedule and make sure the delivery went smoothly. And as absolutely gorgeous as the cake was, it was still the best tasting cake I've ever had! Seriously, butter pecan, do it! :) I'm so happy with my wedding cake choice, and will definitely use For Goodness Cakes for special occasion cakes in the future.

Our cakes were moist and the delicious on the day of the wedding. We had many compliments and the cake tasted even better than the tasting! We ordered red velvet and champagne. Also, the tasting was enjoyable and they made it easy to pick what we wanted. We used this vendor through our reception vendor the Payne-Corley House.

That cake was so good it still haunts my dreams. I think the key was that we went with a butter cream frosting instead of fondant, which was their suggestion. Fondant is very pretty, but it’s basically inedible, and I am a frosting lover, so I was all too excited when they told me that my design could be accomplished in butter cream. I barely got to eat anything at our wedding because I was so busy dancing and running around talking to everyone - BUT, I made time for cake, and boy am I glad I did! I look forward to having wedding cake, round 2 on my 1 year anniversary! (I give them fewer points on flexibility because they could not accommodate our request for a vegan cake).

I used for Goodness Cakes for our wedding cake. We didnt do the traditional cake, but went with a cake pop cake. They had never done a cake pop wedding cake before but were very excited to try it. They ordered a stand and everything for us. The cake turned out amazing and so tasty! They were very easy to work with and listened to everything that we wanted. We got many compliments on our cake and I am so glad that we used them! My only compliant was that at the last minute I was told I had to leave a $200 deposit for the cake pop stand and if I didn't return the stand in 5 days it would not be refunded, when I had already paid $50 to rent it. It turned out fine and we got the stand back but I just wish i would have been told that in the beginning. I would def. recommend them to other brides!

Christina at For Goodness Cakes made our wedding cake (cupcake) dreams come true. She designed an incredible layout, as well as provided the most delicious cupcakes with personalized decorations on each one. Our guests were delighted and the cupcakes were fought over as favors at the end of the reception.
